I've been a bit absent here recently (though still been lurking), so this is actually a good excuse to get me back into posting again 😅

What's your Resolution for your Simblr?

Well, I want to finish up the first iteration of my Lake Strange custom 'hood in the next couple of weeks. I was building for it non-stop throughout December, along with setting up all the households in my new rotation, and now I can't wait to start playing! I don't know what I intend to post from it here yet, as I don't want to end up basing my gameplay around taking screenshots for a story like I found myself doing with my TS4 legacy, but I'm sure I'll end up posting something. Tbh I have so many builds I could post right now but I've been super lazy with taking screenshots 😆

In terms of TS4, I honestly have no intention of going back to it anytime soon. I'm just loving TS2 far too much 😅

What do you want from the Sims Franchise?

Tbh, I just want Aspyr to port the final two TS2 expansion packs to Mac. It frustrates me to no end that I can't have Freetime and Apartment Life. I even wrote to them the other month, and they just came back and said they have no plans to do it (not that I expected anything different) 🤣

Any other New Years Resolutions?

Saying 'yes' to things again. 2023 was a year in which I let myself get trapped within my comfort zone, and I can see (with quite some clarity) how its had an impact on my mental health. I need to go back to forcing myself to being more adventurous again. Today I signed back up to the gym (so cliche to do that on 1st Jan, I know), and agreed to meet up with some friends later this week, so I'm off to a good start, I think.

something a bit more personal so heads up

some tomm (me) lore: i've been a big fan of dragon ball since 2019, was actually a dragonball fanartist for two years straight (was my previous heavy fixation until i caved into mario). i'm also a big fan of matpat / gametheory since ofc 2014 due to fnaf and got back to frequently watching him around 2021.

both HUGE impacts that idk where i would be without them ever interfering my already heck of an enigma life. worse part is the fact i have to say goodbye to them both JUST a day apart. yes mat isn't deceased but the thought of not seeing him as much anymore after JUST getting to watch him again is straight-up heartbreaking. i would still watch and am already fond of the existing crew and 100% approve his retirement reasons. yet it all has been tearing me apart personally. it hurts. a lot. its sad. very sad. but in the end: i'm happy. i'm happy for the memories, experiences, and growth i received with them that i was able to receive in my life. both young and now as an adult.

watching. playing, drawing, and talking about how goku and his friends will get through the next challenge. it's made me love friendship adventure stories so much more, anxiously waiting for the next episode of super every saturday night on toonami. impacting me to become more optimistic and not to be afraid to draw what i really love (fanart). matpat encouraged me to think inside AND outside the box, to question reality and fiction, open to criticism and theorizing in a more bigger picture. wether serious, comedically, or satire, it wasn't just learning about the world or inner depictions of video games, food, or how to style ourselves; but for fun and loving those around you. appreciating the moment and learning at the same time. someone i could genuinely relate to and open my heart back up to older franchises such as mario, learning the film industry as i always wanted to, learn to appreciate food and get out of my comfort zone, and ofc be more knowledgeable of what i wear and how it can impact me. i could seriously just keeping going on and on.

idk how to end this other than by saying thank you. thank you toriyama. thank you matpat. never was it in my bingo card of 2024, but nothing is going to stop me from continuing to love and appreciate the things these two amazing individuals brought into the world, impacting so many lives. 💚❤️💛💙 + 🐉💥

For as much as I pride myself in being a writer and a theatre kid, a huge part of me is being into gaming. I have used games such as Minecraft, Undertale, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Detroit: Become Human and so many more to help me get through the loneliness and hardest times of my life, long before I had media such as theatre to do that.

I discovered the Theorists channels in late 2015/early 2016, in that transitional time between elementary and middle school. The first Game Theory I ever watched was “Game Theory: FNAF 2, Gaming's Scariest Story SOLVED!”, which not only introduced me to the Five Night’s at Freddy’s franchise, it introduced me to tangential learning: the concept of learning through media that a person already enjoys, as well as picking up on small details or background information to answer questions.

This is what I do with the fandoms I’m “known for” on here and any other internet space!

Picking up on small details and drawing conclusions are things I’ve done to create all the fics I’ve made for Dear Evan Hansen and The Politician within the last few years, how I’ve been able to understand character motivations and drives through tiny details that some people might miss.

With that, I also love to learn. Any one who knows me, knows that I “learn to love better”, so to speak. I research problems to try and fix them, and research vastly different things such as mental health issues to better understand them and educate myself for the loved ones in my life who have various struggles.

MatPat and the entire Theorist crew created channels and a space that encourages learning through means of fun things such as video games and shows, even branching out to food and style with recent channels.

It also, more importantly, created a space where weirdness could be encouraged, where nerds and geeks were welcomed with open arms, and where a community was fostered of unique and immensely intelligent and creative people.

And that, a space to belong as a person generally on the outside of every group at that young age of being ten or eleven, is something I needed. Something that I was able to grow with. I was a proud theorist through middle and high school, and even now to this day. I haven’t been a loyal theorist since the beginning, but I’ve been one for a long enough time to say it changed my life in so many ways.

It inspired me to create my own theories and express them to people and, even if they don’t always make sense/come across as self-indulgent or weird, to never stop learning and expanding my mind.

People often need a place to belong and to feel accepted in all their quirks and oddities, and MatPat and everyone at Team Theorist managed to do that beautifully for thirteen years.

These people and their theories helped me through the hardest times and gave me comfort when not much else did.

And for that, I, as well as many others, I’m sure, give a big thank you and a huge, community-wide group huge.

I’ll forever be a loyal theorist.

But hey, that’s just a theory. A game theory!

hello!! i was wondering if i could get a ROTTMNT character match up (when ur free and got the time!!)??

i go by many many online names, but usually i stick with sandra! i'm southeast asian, 5'2, and gender non conforming. i got black hair that's in a medium-length butterfly haircut and i usually dress up in a soft-grunge style (i don't have a specific style in reality, too indecisive for that rip).

i have audhd, and find it hard to open up to people. when i have an interest, it's usually really intense! marine biology, certain video game franchises, tv shows, music, the arts—i'm super passionate about all of them and find myself infodumping if i dont catch myself. i keep to myself the majority of the time, but when i open up to people that i believe i can trust, i'm usually described as energetic and very active!

dancing, singing, playing music, and drawing are my main go-to hobbies. especially music—i know how to play the piano, violin, cello, bass, and guitar! the last two are self-taught, but i got a few years under my belt :D

Like every System Parts there’s always a reason, for their looks, names, ages, gender, se*uality it’s never random and connected to the body’s story thus far but for Us it’s probably because getting vulnerable just like in Moon Knight it represents having siblings, twins because for me my mom had a few miscarriage before and after me and one of them was my twin 🥹 so that’s probably why and also Oscar Isaac talks about in Saturday Night Live “They all deal with pain loss and confusion” 🧡

KELSALL: She's got an insatiable sweet tooth - her mom used to make what they called 'axe murder pie', aka a messy red fruit pavlova wherein the filling's leaked everywhere. It remains her favourite food to this day, even if she feels she can never *quite* get the fruit sauce sour enough to counteract the meringue. DES: Hierarchy standard ration bar flavour variant 12 - aka, a nutritionally complete bar that looks remarkably like kibble and which tastes like toothpaste and barbecued lamb. It was about the first thing Avitus managed to convince him to eat and the bars always bring back a feeling of safety, even once he's an adult. ❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories? KELSALL: Marathoning classic sci-fi with her mom on a snowy winters night. It's one of the last memories she got to make with her mom, who was a massive fan of several long-running franchises and the inspiration for her to want to move to the Citadel and pursue a career in C-Sec in the first place. DES: Learning to shoot a gun with his grandpa. He was terrified of the sound and the recoil and straight up didn't want to do it and, worse still, was certain that Avitus was going to be disappointed in him for being such a wuss about something that should be so normal. Instead, he took him out for ice-cream and explained over that his first experiences with firing a gun and how badly that'd gone, alongside dragging out of him his reasons - then they built up to it bit by bit. He in fact got excellent marks during basic for his marksmanship after that but Des declines to do military service entirely, which his family do of course support as being the right decision for their soft-hearted, shy little boy. 💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality? KELSALL: Trans (mtf) bisexual aromantic not that it comes up particularly within the story. It's just a little treat, for me (and now you). DES: Cishet. As Avitus says when he introduces his girlfriend to the extended family, someone has to be straight, after all. 🧠 - What do you like most about the OC? KELSALL: We're... not gonna psychoanalyse why this is my bapy comfort OC who gets told she's doing a good job and gets cared about by everyone who gets to know her. I guess if I have to pick anything out, she's compassionate and genuine with everyone she meets, always finding a way to put them at ease and make them trust her. DES: Quite the opposite of Kelsall, Des is fucked up. He's a victim of circumstance and despite that he's loved. He's not what anyone expects him to be, remains a nervous, needy person no matter how many years of safety he gets and no matter how much therapy he attends. And his family understand and support him through that, no matter what.

Hmmm I don’t know how well I can answer this Anonie but I guess, personally, I think you need to decide if you believe those accusations or not or if you simply want to ignore them especially depending on the subject matter they are accused of and if that affects your enjoyment of said media.

If it affects your enjoyment, then maybe take a break? Or leave the fandom? Whether permanently or not is up to you. If it doesn’t affect it, then I would say continue on enjoying the media you love.

It’s honestly depends on your boundaries Anonie and what you are comfortable with or not.

Personally, fandom drama I tend to ignore or if I can’t, I rant about it with my friends. 🤣

I left the miraculous fandom because of the creators and how they were treating the fans negatively and what they eventually did to the franchise. (Not to say, the fandom didn’t have its toxicity lol) That toxic environment had me not wanting to support it anymore and I left…hence my pipeline to twst 🥳💞

Honestly Anonie, I say, you do you. Enjoy what you enjoy. If you need a break, take a break. If you want to continue to enjoy the media, then enjoy it.

But always do it based on your own feelings and facts, and not what anyone has decided or told you. Don’t let anyone decide whether you should enjoy something or not.

I’m looking for anybody interested in a rp based around The Sims. To explain it better, I want to have two characters living out their lives as if they were sims, with us being the ‘player’.

I’m looking for anybody interested in a rp based around The Sims. To explain it better, I want to have two characters living out their lives as if they were sims, with us being the ‘player’.

I’m a huge simmer myself, I’ve played all four and have spent an embarrassing amount of money on eps, packs and whatnot. For the rp, I was thinking we’d choose a certain one, I’d prefer Sims 3 or Sims 4, since I know the layouts/towns the most on those.

For the base of the Rp, I do want a fxm pairing, but we could treat it almost like create-a-sim. They could be humans, occult, alien, plant sun, you name it. As long as it’s in the sims game we choose it’ll work!! It could just be the two sims or we could make it a family, have them be strangers, already an established marriage, fiancés, boyfriend/girlfriend, simply roommates, next door neighbors, etc.

Now for the plot- it could simply be a slice of life based off of Sims, or we could give it a more Truman Show sort of vibe.. 👀 Tons of possibility here, and I’m wanting to plot it out with someone who loves this game franchise as much as me!

There’s a few requirements that I have for my partners:

-Be 21+ I don’t feel comfortable talking with minors, especially since I like to have a bit of mature content here and there.

-Be fine with using Discord as our platform.

-Writing will only be done in third person! I’m cool with semi-lit, lit and adv lit. If you’re novella, I’m more than happy to work with ya, but my reply time will be a little slower, since I don’t like rushing a full page of content.
