because it plants the seed that Crowley doesn't always have to be an enemy. Yet is believable because Cas & Crowley were enemies only one episode ago, so we need a business reason that Crowley would want Cas' help. Demon Dean and Cas doesn't want Dean to be an "abomination" so even he can't say no to this

I thought about making it TMWWBK, but Cas had just been shot in the stomach one Crowstielpisode ago. Your feelings are more likely to be softened after someone saves your life

6x20 to 7x01

6x20part 1; 6x20 part 2; 6x20 part 3;

is the most tense arc of the frenemies era. This is because the frenemies era has only just begun it will go from tense to less tense. In 7x01 Cas has experienced the dark side with the Leviathan influence etc which means there is a softer element to future frenemy interactions because Cas no longer feels like he has a moral highground

Cas apologizes to Crowley and it plants the seed for Crowley to have happier feelings towards Cas but it's not reciprocated by Cas yet because for Cas the apology was a right thing to do rather than a "hey I like you now." Whereas for Crowley I don't think he's ever been given apologized to and that makes it mean more. Yeah Crowley's first reaction was "wtf?" But I think after having time to process it ...

9x10

this is where Crowley likes Cas but it isn't reciprocated yet

might fit here? It's a neutral enough interaction that you can put it anywhere

So the classic Crowley tries to get Cas to partner with him

Crowley trying to rescue who he sees as his friend Cas from Lucifer. Not sure how Cas got himself into the situation but maybe the show will explain later as a flashback 🤷 p.s it won't because I pretend the episodes that explain that don't exist and so should you. It's just better to make up your own reason

I just think the line "Really, Cas. How many more times will I have to clean up your mess?" will have a whole new meaning when the episode before i.e 11x18 involved trying to rescue Cas from a messy situation. Poor Cas

then Rock Never Dies is the ending of the Frenemy arc. We can assume that off camera Cas managed to expel Lucifer

Hold up but didn't Meg just kiss isn't she on Cas' side now? - I silence the interruptor gently. Remember anything that happens outside of Cas and Crowley isn't real. This is Crowstielnatural. Besides demons can pretend and Cas and Crowley planned the entire affair so that Meg would witness it then tell Lucifer

this is marie, the kiddos’s mum. she’s still young-ish, but the stress of wrangling all these damn kids has made her go a bit grey early.

she’s very protective of all her kids, but especially her special little guy (leander) cos he gets bullied 😔

i think the kids get their hair colour from her, but some of their other features (nose, eyes, etc) come from their dad. got a drawing of him in the works too tee hee hee

Snippet Saturday? Just a little teaser of something I'm working on...

Every time they returned to the tree by the riverbank, they did the same little song-and-dance. Charles would start reading and Pierre would stand guard. After a short while, Charles would close his book and suggest that Pierre rest his eyes for a few moments.

His knight always refused at first, until Charles promised to keep his eyes open for errant squirrels or any other threat. Pierre would laugh and join him on the blanket, always keeping his sword at the ready but allowing his eyes to drift closed.

Charles loved seeing him like this. As his personal knight, Pierre was always vigilant to their surroundings. This was the only time that he allowed himself to relax and be vulnerable. A sight for nobody other than Charles. 

Their trust went both ways. Charles trusted Pierre with his life, with his personal protection and safety. In return, Pierre allowed Charles to see him at his weakest, to allow Charles to protect him, even just for a moment.

The first time Pierre put his head in Charles’ lap for his nap, he nearly shouted in joy. They had grown very comfortable with each other and Pierre made no mention of it as his head landed on Charles’ thigh instead of the blanket.

Similarly, Charles chose not to say anything as he let one of his hands thread into Pierre’s hair and gently scratch his scalp.

It was exactly as soft as he had imagined and Pierre made a deliciously pleased noise in the back of his throat. Charles tried not to think about that too much as he stored the sound in the depths of his memory.

With only a little difficulty, Charles reopened his book and attempted to distract himself from the lovely weight resting on his leg. He couldn’t help but glance over every few words, just to see the strands of hair filtering through his fingers and the slight rise and fall of Pierre’s chest as he rested.

He was so handsome and Charles could admire the sight as much as he wanted when they were like this. It would be so easy for him to lean down and press the most fleeting of kisses to his lips.

In his dreams, Pierre would wake up, blue eyes fluttering open with a smile on his face, and request that Charles do that again. His voice would be breathy with desire and Charles would gladly oblige. His knight would gladly surrender to the feeling for a moment, then flip them over and take full control over Charles’ body.

Those ideas would stay firmly in his dreams, though it didn’t stop them from happening.

When Pierre finally did stir, Charles affixed his attention back onto his book, pretending like he had been doing that the whole time. Instead of moving away, Pierre stayed exactly where he was as he came to wakefulness.

“What are you reading today, Your Highness?” Pierre murmured the question, blinking sleep out of his eyes.

“It’s a book of poetry,” Charles explained. 

Poetry wasn’t his preferred genre, but it was nice to try something a little different. His tutors always wanted him to expand his horizons, saying that a well-rounded education made for a good ruler. Charles always rolled his eyes with a token protest, yet accepted the assignment gracefully.

“Would you read one to me?” Pierre asked. He was looking up at Charles, open and earnest in his soft request.

There was no part of Charles that wanted to deny Pierre anything, so he cleared his throat and flipped back a few pages to one that stuck out in his mind and began reading.

Out of the corner of his eye he could see Pierre studying him intently. Charles felt the faintest of flushes creep across his neck as the words of the poem spilled from his lips. The words were meant for Pierre, all the things he wanted to say but knew that he never could.

As soon as he finished, he closed the book and waited for Pierre’s reaction. His knight smiled softly and lifted one of his hands to cup Charles’ cheek.

He sucked in a breath at the sensation. Pierre’s palm was rough and calloused, warm and firm and absolutely perfect against his face. For a moment, Charles thought that Pierre was going to pull him down, try and connect their lips together, and he trembled with want. 

Pierre almost certainly could feel the trembling and his eyes filled with understanding. Charles could tell that he wanted it too. He wanted to know Charles intimately, to hear and cause noises to spill from his mouth in unreserved abandon.

But both of them knew that it was something they couldn’t have.

Red Knight AU update

I'm posting this, so I am forced to keep this part in. Because I'm a chicken shit little bitch. And I've already added and removed the four sentences that allude to this at least 3 times already.

We'll finally be getting the slight hint of the Danny x Jason thing I've alluded to possibly happening in the tags of previous parts. I won't actually be you know finalizing any feelings until we hit the second...arc? Gotham, when we get to Gotham. An arc implies I have a plot which I. Do. Not.

Also reason it's taking so long for a new part. 1. I've been absorbed by Pokémon Scarlet. I finally finished the story so my ADHD is allowing me extra bandwidth again.

2. I....uh meant to write part 9 and ended up with a mini part that is pure angst and had absolutely nothing I wanted part 9 to have. So I had to restart. The angst excerpt will be posted as an interlude between part 9 and 10 for the interim of the 3.5 year timeskip we're going to have.

random thought- cause i was thinking about the axolotl earlier today-

maybe. mayhaps. the axolotl is seen as a symbol of luck (and good fortune, they are different in this specific scenario), second chances, and rebirth in the multiverse

hear me out, i have reasons!

-the refugees cheer ford on when he tells them his plan by saying 'praise the axolotl'. luck, good fortune (though more wishing good luck/fortune through the phrase)

-the oracle is a completely separate entity from the axolotl, but she does have association with them. she gives ford a second chance via the metal plate she implants in his skull

-giving a bill a second chance, in regards to the whole becoming three-dimensional and being able to destroy his entire dimension thing (also an example of luck)

-bill calling out to the axolotl to return after death (rebirth)

-appears sometimes in the background throughout the show. one of these times is the scene in which ford is describing his struggle with the grand unified theory of weirdness. soon after this, he meets bill (luck)

-another example is that it appears in the tank in the living room sometimes, specifically during the summer that stan brings back ford (good fortune/luck!)

theres probably more examples that im missing and this is probably a little incoherent but. there is kind of a pattern here
