Computronics TRS-80 Magazine Cover

Issue Number 51, November 1982

H&E Computronics, Inc. was renowned for its business software and TRS-80 monthly magazine. The magazine, initially called TRS-80 Monthly Newsletter, grew to become H&E Computronics Monthly News Magazine, a 70-page publication.

Created by publisher Howard Gosman, the magazine featured articles, columns, reviews, and third-party advertising. Notable columns included "The Crystal Ball," which shared news and rumors about TRS-80 developments, and Hubert S. Howe, Jr.'s columns on assembly language programming.

Although H&E Computronics continued selling business software until the late 1980s, the magazine ceased publication in September 1983, merging into BASIC Computing magazine.

Valentine's Day comic with my favorite Combiners!

Afterburner: I don't know how, but I know this is your fault, Scattorshot!

Scattorshot: Pipe down, this is all Computron. But he's never reached the wrong conclusion before!

Strafe: Yuck! How could he want to mack on those Decepti-creeps?! We should be pummeling 'em! That's the enemy!!!

Lightspeed: I think Computron just wants to dream of something better. After all, if Sandstorm and Octane can be best friends...

Nosecone: ...Hm.

Hun-Gurr: Yesss, we should join forces with Computron, think of how much more food—resources we'd have access to.

Cutthroat: But only two of the Technobots are any fun!

Sinnertwin: If Computron and Abominus destroy everything together, it will be fun anyway.

Rippersnapper: What are your malfunctions?! You can't seriously be considering this—it's disgusting!

wada sez: Per Gee on deviantART: “So this comic was inspired by a dream I had of the Aerialbots building a "battle scaffold" in mid-air while falling (it was MUCH cruder than the one shown here). I didn't remember much else from the dream, but the idea grew in my brain into this Transformers fan comic. This ended up "chibi" style partly because of the goofy plot I came up with, and partly because I wanted to cram every American G1 combiner team (in combined form) into the first panel. Seeing as each of them are made of 5-6 other robots, I could have have taken forever just with the first panel alone if it were not for the chibi style.” The giant robot reminds me of some of the larger Cyberverse playsets, in particular Optimus Maximus. It’s cute how the “Combinatrons” are all doing different activities related to their actual characters! Gee has one more strip to be included in this archive, so keep an eye out for that.

I love Scrounge so much, he's like my favorite little guy in the Transformers universe but he's got one toy. Its a redeco of Cosmos for some reason? And its literally so funny like why does he look like that?

For the 40th anniversary of the Transformers, I referenced a DBZ manga panel to draw some of the characters, and I also found some old Transformers comics I made when I remembered them, and even found a WIP featuring Cheetor and Rattrap.
