Tim Drake: Vigilante by Night, Nail Artist by… Also Night?

You wouldn’t think it at first glance, but Tim Drake has the best nails in the Batfamily. Not just “good for a guy who punches people at night”—no, immaculate. We’re talking glossy top coats, intricate designs, and cuticles so well-maintained they could make a spa technician weep.

No one really knows when it started. Maybe it was stress relief, maybe it was an exercise in precision, or maybe Tim just realized his hands looked too rough after long nights on patrol and decided, why not?

Picture this:

Jason: staring at Tim’s nails “Is that… a mini Gotham skyline?”

Tim, blowing on his fresh polish: “Yeah. Took me two hours.”

Jason: “…I can’t tell if that’s badass or terrifying.”

Damian watches Tim paint his nails, eyes narrowing. “How do you keep them so precise?”

Tim grins. “Steady hand. Want to try?”

Damian hesitates, then nods. “I suppose… for training purposes.”

An hour later, Damian’s sporting deep green nails with tiny golden swords. He’s hooked.

Bruce walks in, about to give a mission briefing. Stops. Blinks.

Tim is carefully applying tiny bat symbols on a matte black base.

Bruce: “…Is this really necessary?”

Tim: “Mental health care, Bruce. Ever heard of it?”

Bruce decides he has not, in fact, heard of it. Leaves.

Wonder Woman notices during a debrief. “Timothy, your nails are beautiful.”

Tim, beaming: “Thanks. This week’s theme is constellations.”

Hal Jordan, muttering: “How does he fight crime with those?”

Tim, deadpan: “Better than you without them.”

And don’t even get the batfam started on the glow-in-the-dark polish he wears on patrol. Steph still brings up the time Tim knocked out a thug, and the guy’s last words before unconsciousness were: “Are those… holographic?”

Tim Drake: world’s most sleep-deprived detective, but you’ll never catch him with chipped nails or uncut cuticles.

Ya se que esto es tipo MUCHA INFORMACIÓN VISUAL pero es que concentre mucha obsesión en un solo post. Acá está mí interpretación de mis personajes favoritos de Magnus podcast, con algunos diálogos random que me hacen reír o me ponen triste o siento que caracterizan a cada uno, y canciones que relaciono con cada cual (limitada la cantidad de canciones al espacio que tenía). Hice todo en un solo archivo y me llevó como 450 capas 💀💀💀.

Also I just picked the songs from the pool of songs/bands that I like. Some of them are very obvious . Some of them I picked for a specific reason that I am really trying not to overexplain since I already cluttered the post so much you can barely look at the drawings (which took me so fuc*ING long to draw, I'm an idiot for taking the focus from them). So, don't judge me for the songs 🤙🤙🤙🤙

Also, I really wanted to draw Oliver banks as well. Or Anabelle. Or both. Also Michael crew. But I was tired of drawing honestly and university is already drowning me. 💃💃💃💃💃💃

AU Idea I had last night:

Late-Teen Will either discovering that there's been a trust fund for him all along, left by his mother on the condition that it's used for fees at a fancy boarding school, or getting into fancy boarding school for graduation year because of merit / earning a scholarship and previously-unknown legacy-association with his estranged mother's family. Getting shipped off to said prestigious boarding school but being miserable there / struggling. He's the new boy, out-performing his peers, the poorest student there by a mile and constantly bullied for that and his innate weirdness and because girls like him.

Enter: temp-professor Hannibal (27; maybe he is on sabbatical from surgeon-ing for a year, before retraining as a psychiatrist.).

He notices Will's brilliance, takes a shine to him, and becomes a sort of mentor to him. He transforms Will's nightmarish experience of school almost overnight: eating lunch with him (giving him safe place to go, or ensuring he's safe wherever he is), tutoring him, seeing off his bullies, 'discovering' grants Will can use to pay for expenses since he's a scholarship student, etc etc.

(What does Hannibal teach? Art? Anatomy? Biology, dissecting things? Temps for the Phys.Ed. teacher and kicks ass / humiliates Will's bullies in an impromptu kendo lesson??)

Essentially, he makes Will feel he has room to breathe, and might actually have a chance to make the most of this golden opportunity. Also makes him feel cool by association because Hannibal has Chosen him and all the teenage boys basically want to be Hannibal. (Also, maybe it's a co-ed school and all the cheerleaders are mooning over dreamy Hannibal.)

Canon-style totally platonic but wildly homoerotic relationship because oblivious!Will still thinks he's straight and oblivious!Hannibal thinks he's only gawping at Will's beauty because he's an aesthete. 🤦‍♀️

Meanwhile, nasty 'accidents' keep befalling the worst of Will's bullies, the cruelest/most predatory teachers, etc. and Hannibal encourages Will to listen to his 'instincts.'

Ends with Will graduating and getting into prestigious ivy league school and Hannibal promptly quitting his teaching position to go and live with Will and be his sugar-daddy through college while Hannibal re-trains in psychiatry. (Or maybe Hannibal offers to fund a gap-year so he and Will can do a Grand Tour of Europe together.)

you dont get the idea of how proud i am for this one, the bg shit, the lineart could be so much better, like, look those lines yikes. But the colors, the expression, and mostly I made this when most of my drawings were total shit, so this was like my bacon at that moment, what I knew whanted my drawings to look like...mostly.
