The parallels between Coda and Baron: a yap
Most of this is copy and pasted from the discord with some adjustments. I figured I might as well post it to the world for others to see, so enjoy!
When you really think about it, Coda and Baron are pretty much the same episode. Besides the obvious parallel of Kozma and Concords fates, there’s A LOT of other similarities. They’re both about a meeting between Weepe and his current main opposing force. Both Concord and Lazlo have ulterior motives and want something more from him. They both attempt to have the power in the conversation before it quickly and suddenly gets shifted to Weepe, and then there’s also just Weepe. In both meetings, he is self medicating either with his own Syringe Nutcracker Combo™ or with the Big Ass Machine™ in his mansion. And then, both times, he uses his own fold blood to jellify the rival. Also, both episodes HEAVILY focus on the mystery of “what the fuck is going on with Moc Weepe”. Coda introduces his fold ailment and his connection to the mothers (thanks to the appendix), and Baron fully explains the story.
Furthermore, identifying the differences between the two scenes is just as interesting, because to me it really represents everything in Weepes life that has changed between the two episodes. In Coda, he’s at the Cabaret, he’s not (super) fucked up and the biggest thing in his life at that time is the exact subject of the conversation: the breach route. He kills Concord in order to continue the one real thing on his mind, being his own rise to power.
And then in Baron, he’s in his new mansion with his new status that he now has purely BECAUSE of what he did to Concord in Coda, he’s all fucked up and weird thanks to his rise to power, the scope of his life has gotten a lot bigger and the conversation topic is, again, the biggest thing in his life currently: The Trust, and him getting revenge on the very person who fucked him over all those years ago.
I feel like this could be used to make a secondary yap about the parallels of Kozma Lazlo and Atticus Concord as characters, but I’ll leave that for someone else to pick up.
Yap over.
TL;DR: I fucking love this podcast.

happy deathday to cloncord or whatever
[Video ID: Spoofs of the logo for Firewalk Studios' Concord appear over starry backdrops as pitch-distorted versions of the theme stinger play underneath. The emblem is distorted in assorted ways which are mostly random but sometimes related to the text. The starry backdrop changes color but is most often red or purple. In order: Corcnord, Condord (accompanied above by a cropped post from @hollowtones which reads "Im for the new game Im" - the emblem is filled with a content-aware-scaled image of Lennox's face), Cooldood, Doodoocon, Noc Noc (the emblem is filled with a wood texture), Connor 'N' Don, Corn'd (the emblem is colored to resemble a corn cob in a husk), Dr Coocoo, Dronc (the emblem's shapes are uneven), Rod 'N' Cone (the emblem resembles an eyeball), Corner Donor (the emblem consists only of triangles), Coco From Flight of the Conchords (the emblem is a parallelogram filled with an image of Sutton Foster in her role as the aforementioned character), Nod Now, a tiny clip of The Captain saying "No.", Coward (the emblem resembles an angry face), Noice Crocs, Discord (the emblem resembles the Discord logo), Noo-Noo-Core (the emblem resembles Noo-Noo the vacuum cleaner from Teletubbies), LOL U Dorc, Nood C*c (the emblem is a fleshy color and is pixelated along with a letter in the text. The video is superimposed with a close-up of Teo making a smug expression which quickly gets more content-aware-scale distorted), a tiny clip of The Captain saying "No.", then the final logo spoof simply reads No. /End ID]

hey!! hope this isn't super random. I'm an eclectic pagan, trans and nd. ive been researching and practicing since ive been roughly 9/10ish. your blog gives me good vibes. I was wondering if you have any book reccomendations? (Specifically on demonaltry but honestly anything is cool, i really admire your practice) i hope you have a nice day :3
For Demonolatry specifically I always recommend "The Complete Book of Demonolatry" by S. Connolly as well as "The Complete Book of Demonolatry Magic" by J Thorp.
"Lucifer and The Hidden Demons: A Practical Grimoire from The Order of Unveiled Faces" by Theodore Rose,
"Consorting with Spirits: Your Guide to Working with Invisible Allies" by Jason Miller.
"The Practice of Magical Evocation" by Franz Bardon,
"Goetic Evocation" by Steve Savedow,
In terms of dictionaries and demonology books I'd recommend
"The Dictionary of Demons: Expanded and Revised: Names of the Damned" by Michelle Belanger,
"Pandemonium: A Discordant Concordance of Diverse Spirit Catalogues" by Jake Stratton-Kent,
"Demonolator's Handbook" by Mirta Wake.
In terms of books that have to do specifically with queer paganism I would recommend:
"Sacred Gender" by Ariana Serpentine
"Casting A Queer Circle: Non-Binary Witchcraft" by Thista Minai
"Beyond the Queer: A Chaos Magick Grimoire for True Liberation" by  Paradox Magus
and more specifically to do with Ishtar worship but also has some neat gems about queer paganism in general, "Way of the Ishtarite" by Siri Nin
Pretty sure most if not all of these can be found on Amazon or on Anna's Archives.

How much do early/initial sales matter for the "succes" of a game?
I often notice people saying that a game looks good but wait for a sale to pick it up. I understand that could be because mostly of budget reasons.
But I do wonder if/how that affects developers/studios/etc.
Tumblr media
The majority of a game's success comes from the size of its player base. Most games have a projected player count band they expect to reach (either via sales or free to play). I say band because predicting exact numbers is hard but it's more reasonable to expect somewhere between X and Y overall players. Every game has a minimum number of players it needs to reach in order to be considered a success. This can mean via sales, like with Dragon Age: The Veilguard, via monthly active users like with Valorant, or with a combination of the two like with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Tumblr media
If a game hits that minimum bar for success, it usually gets to keep going (if it is a live service game) and a sequel is more likely to get the green light. The faster a game hits that minimum bar for success, the more likely a sequel or more content for that game will eventually come. There are projected player numbers for each month post-release as well that get adjusted accordingly as real data come in. If a game outperforms its expected numbers (even post-launch), there may be more investment made into the franchise. SWTOR had this treatment after Knights of the Fallen Empire exceeded expectations.
Tumblr media
If a game misses that minimum bar for success, the big question is "by how much?" If it missed by a little (e.g. Anthem), it is possible that the publishers will allow the dev team to continue a little longer in hopes that the game manages to make it to the success mark. If it misses by a lot (e.g. Concord, Crucible), the plug will get pulled almost immediately.

Next gen AU character roster!! This is mostly just an attempt to practice formatting posts and figure out how to use this app um ANYWAY
(heads up, this won’t be extremely in depth about lore or backstories, just simple introductions!)
Tumblr media
This is the main roster in a row next to each other, along with their ages. Some of the art here is older than others… I’ll explain them in some more detail.
Tumblr media
This here is Amber Gleam and her sister, Comet Trail! Long story short, Amber’s ‘real’ name is Cicada, and she is actually an adopted changeling, raised by Princess Twilight and later on her stepdad, Sunburst. Comet is her younger sister. Comet is competing with their cousin, Flurry Heart for royal guard status. I’ll talk more about Flurry later. Amber has been raised in the shadows for most of her life to hide her identity, which has led to issues socializing as well as a harsh reputation among the public as opposed to her sister.
Tumblr media
Racing Heart isn’t actually the offspring of any canon characters, but she is an old OC that I love too much to remove, so she’s a part of my AU because she can. She’s a hopeless romantic lesbian who constantly crushes on all kinds of characters, but her eye is primarily set on Cotton Bow, who I’ll talk about next. I accidentally made her with lesbian colors back in 5th grade… I didn’t even know the word lesbian… wow…
Tumblr media
Cotton Bow is the daughter of Mayor Diamond Tiara and Pipsqueak. She is best friends with Amber and they both bond over the issues that come from being the daughters of well known political figures and just wanting to be average, normal ponies. Although, Cotton doesn’t know about Cicada’s secret. Cotton’s special talent is knitting/crocheting (to her parents’ dismay) and she’s an introvert who doesn’t want to follow her family’s legacy.
Tumblr media
Koi Concord is the son of Discord and Fluttershy. He has some powers from his father but they mainly remain limited to nature. He obtained his mother’s ability to speak to animals, but his favorites are sea creatures. He spends majority of his time swimming in rivers and creeks with little fishy friends, and keeps to himself for the most part. (Amber doesn’t like him very much as she deems his introversion as a waste of his ability to coexist with ponies as a mix breed/foreign species unbothered, unlike her who has to stay a secret)
Tumblr media
Marigold Peaberry! The daughter of Rarity and Joe, she actually was really difficult to make a solid design for because I made her before picking her parents and then I had to redesign her to make her look related… it was a whole mess. She still doesn’t really have any personality or official role in the story.
Tumblr media
Now we’re getting into old art territory… Startrix have 2 kids! Epitome Dusk and her brother Jinx Nightfall. Jinx is magically disabled and cannot use his horn without causing any accidents. This made his family incredibly heartbroken, but they all love him nonetheless. I imagine that these two hang out with Concord the most, since he’s the youngest of my next gen main characters.
Tumblr media
Now time for Flurry! In my next gen AU, they are actually nonbinary and are dating Luster Dawn! I had a little bit of a poll/vote among my friends over if Luster should have been with Flutty or Comet and Flurry won! They don’t have a large role.
You might be wondering why that purple one at the end of the roster hasn’t appeared, and that’s because they aren’t canon. at least, I haven’t decided if they should be or not. Sunrise is a next gen for pinkiedash, but they’re merely a design concept for now. I’ll probably answer any questions people have about these guys if i have any answers. i doubt i’ll be getting any for a WHILE.

The Beginning of the American Revolution
Today (April 18, 2025) is the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution.
Tea Act of 1773—Allowed the importation of duty-free tea to Boston, gave a monopoly to the British East India Company
This lead to the Boston Tea Party, December 16, 1773. Colonists organized by men like Samuel Adams stormed the harbor disguised as Indians, seized the tea, and threw it into the harbor. This destroyed 342 chests ---10,000 pounds worth of tea. (roughly 588,600 dollars in 2007 dollars)
This led to the Intolerable Acts:
Boston Port Act closed Boston until the British East India Company was compensated for its lost tea.
Administration of Justice Act: Magistrates charged with crimes connected to their enforcement of British laws or suppressing riots would be tried in England; witnesses also had to be brought to England but would be compensated for expenses.
Massachusetts Government Act: The executive council was now appointed by the King, not elected by the people. Further, many civil offices (most importantly the law-enforcing Sheriffs) were now appointed by the governor. Town meetings could only happen once a year unless the Governor approved the meeting.
General Gage became governor of Massachusetts.
Quartering Act: Forced local communities to find spaces for soldiers to be housed at their expense.
Quebec Act: Enlarged the size of Quebec, created a no-assembly government with non-jury trials and full rights for Catholics.
Before the Shot Heard Round the World
First Continental Congress: This all led to the summoning of the FCC. 55 delegates from all colonies but Georgia. Sept. 5 to October 26, 1774.
Suffolk Resolves: Endorsed by the FCC. They called for the people to arm, general economic sanctions vs. Britain, and denounced the Coercive Acts.
Continental Association: Created to organize and enforce sanctions. Imports would be cut off after Dec. 1, 1774.
Whigs vs. Tories: Only a minority was ready to take up arms against Britain; most just wanted redress of grievances. But the Whigs, who counseled resistance of some kind, won out over Tories, who did not care about the fate of Massachusetts.
Massachusetts in Discord: After being appointed governor, General Gage dissolves the Massachusetts legislature. It defies him, forming the Committee of Safety to serve as executive in his place. Some communities form the Minute Men to be ready for war.
Lines are Drawn: In the winter of 1774-5, Whig organizations prepare for conflict, while Tories strive desperately to prevent it. The Whigs tend to be more effective and take control of the state governments, shutting Tories out of power.
Too Little, Too Late: Parliament resolves that Massachusetts is in rebellion, but also offers the Conciliatory Proposition: the colonies will not be taxed if they will voluntarily contribute to the Imperial coffers. It is too late to satisfy the Whigs (those Americans who support armed resistance to British demands, if not necessarily yet calling for Independence.).
April 18-19th, 1775: On the night of April 18, 700 British Regulars commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Francis Smith were ordered to march by night on Concord, Massachusetts to seize guns, cannon, and ammunition being stockpiled in Concord by the Committee of Safety. They also were under orders to seize John Hancock and Sam Adams, who had fled Boston to Lexington. Unfortunately for the British, Patriot spies were watching and sent riders to swarm through the night and warn everyone. Paul Revere, a pewtersmith of Boston, happens by chance to get the route to Concord and thus becomes a Revolutionary War hero. At Lexington, early in the morning, there is a brief dust-up between the British and local Minute Men. 18 Americans are killed or wounded. This marks the beginning of the American Revolution. Hancock and Adams, forewarned, had already fled. By the time the British reached Concord, the supplies had mostly been evacuated from the Concord Armory and the British rear guard came under fire. A huge swarm of militia now boiled out of the woods and farms and harassed the British with periodic attacks along the road home. A 1000 man rescue column had to come to their aid to avoid disaster. “By the time the column reached safety, 273 British soldiers were dead, wounded, or missing. The 4,000 Americans who had shot at them along the way suffered nearly 100 casualties.” (Give Me Liberty p. 142.) Thousands of militia now descended on Boston, placing it under siege. (The British initially had 4,000 men in Boston.)
