My Thoughts: Is it too long and repetitive? Yes. Is it still a cozy and hygge time? Absolutely.

Denmark's happiness is attributed to the concept of hygge, which involves creating intimacy, coziness, and soothing experiences. Meik Wiking, CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen, offers a guide to achieving hygge, covering topics such as lighting, dinner planning, emergency hygge kits, and dressing. Wiking believes hygge is the key to happiness and believes it is the key to making Denmark the happiest nation globally.

While this book could have been far smaller, I still think it did a great job of being what it needed to be. Hygge in a book. I read this by the candlelight while desperately waiting for the cool weather to appear. What can I say? I loved every minute of it.

Wiking does a great job of putting cozy in a book with interesting statistics and a lackadaisical humor.

I would recommend this to anyone needing a dose of coziness. It won’t be groundbreaking, but I don’t think it was ever meant to be.
