Remember when Techno was supposed to be betrayed by Philza, but changed it.

Now I’m thinking that Phil had this plan bc Angel of death reasons to kill techno but got attached quickly. And now Phil worries about telling Techno, out of fear of their friendship especially considering what happened to Tommy.

see I suffer from a disease called ‘having 3.5 aus where Techno knows Philza has a plan to kill him but is chill with it’ however dsmp Techno has, understandably, a whole lot of baggage around betrayals!!

On the whole, I see Techno as a mostly trustful guy despite of his betrayals. Like despite the heavy writing on the walls, he got blind sided by L’Manburg, by Tommy, by Quackity. I think L’Manburg was a combo of blinded by his ideals and thinking everyone agreed with him, and Quackity leans towards Techno being arrogant enough to assume he’s fine walking into prison with the guy he killed (because surely he had the stasis chamber long before the prison visit). And then when Techno is trying to bring up his walls and distrust Ranboo, he bonds pretty quickly actually. Even if he takes a bit to admit it. Like the dichotomy of Techno as a prepper versus a super open dude, and doubtlessly it’s because of that prep that Techno thinks he’s invincible. He believes in might makes right, so doesn’t see why someone would contest him.

So on the one hand, Techno finding out would be a gut punch to his accumulative trauma. However, he is incredibly trusting, especially of Philza who was his only friend for a good chunk there. Particularly good if this is post Ranboo death (and the odd reconcile with Tubbo could show Techno after that it’s possible to recover from Phil’s betrayal). Or ooo if it’s the stasis chamber. Phil intentionally leaving him in prison to be tortured since it’s hands off way to ensure techno dies (because he’s too much of a coward to do it himself).

All that to say, I think it would take a Lot to convince Techno that Phil would/is betraying him. Like missing increasingly obvious red flags, still trusting Phil even as the betrayal unfolds. Acting like Phil must have a good plan or be helping in some way Techno just can’t seem to grasp despite his strategic bent (but maybe that’s the blood loss).

And maybe it’s increasingly clear it isn’t naïveté, but denial. Because Techno needed this friendship to work. For so long Philza was the only one he could safely trust. Philza was why Techno could trust, because he was the constant in Techno’s life. Because he had one hand on the stasis trap door, ready to rescue him at a moments notice. Proof that trust could exist and not be injured.

And then it was a lie.

I think Techno would still be in denial, afterwards. Or try to be. Pretend it’s all part of the plan. Laugh off Phil’s apologies. Try to be as cheerful and seemingly trusting as ever. But the signs were there. The way he switched his Syndicate seat to be in the corner, so he could watch everyone at all times. The way he never turned his back on anyone. The way he spent more and more time in his bunker, isolating himself more and more, constructing backup plan after backup plan in dozens of vaults no one would ever find.

Philza couldn’t bring himself to kill Techno. But he killed something inside him, all the same. The final blow on a heart that survived so many lacerations.

Technoblade never brought himself to trust another ever again.

in honor of Moose’s passing, here’s a bunch of Ranboo headcanons.

Ranboo walks out and sits in the pen that was set up to hold what’s left of the hound army when he’s upset. He absolutely loves it when they all pile onto him and does his best to give them all pets.

his tail makes a little thwap sound when it wags and hits the ground.

(this one has been done before but I like it so I’m including it) ranboo doesn’t understand pronouns, so Tubbo informs everyone else to just default to he/they for him, and Ranboo usually refers to everyone with just their name

Tubbo headbutts people to show affection (because ram hybrid) and Ranboo picked it up. Phil, Tubbo, and Techno all have sore spots on their foreheads, because he is too tall to reach anything else.

chronic growing pains. You can’t be that tall without having chronic growing pains.

when enderwalking, one of the easiest ways to get him to stay still is sitting in his lap. Sometimes he’ll even pull smaller people into his lap to calm himself down. Tubbo and Micheal are very much used to this. Tommy and Phil are very much not.

he pets every animal he sees, and his tail always wags when he sees them.

he makes enderman noises without thinking, usually as a method of stimming.

his hand bones are especially crackly, and they click and pop every time he flexes his hands.

Headcanon that while C!Phil was dealing (and not dealing) with the loss of his son, c!Techno was there to uh try to help? Emotionaly???? Anyway one day he does this joke "C!Wilbur is at Mumza's house this weekend ig" and that makes C!Phil laugh. So that becomes a way of dealing with the loss of C!Wilbur in that house, he is at his mum's house this week.

Then C!Wilbur gets back and Phil is like "I guess Kristin sent it back to my house".

The funniest shit, for Philza, is that this could imply that he is divorced and sharing custody.

When ctommy lived with Techno, he was very suprised to found out he and Phil eat Eggs with bacon for breakfast

And horrified, so very horrified. After loudly shaming Phil and Techno for half an hour, Phil probably said something in passing about not even being able lay eggs and Tommy instantly had the assumption that was because of bird-menopause and silently lived with that truth for the rest of his life.

Techno also adamantly believed that piglins and normal pigs are different enough for it to be considered normal for a piglin to eat pork from a pig. But considering Tommy's lack of literacy and reading comprehension, Techno's proof in the form of books didn't help much.
