I just had a thought about Laudna and I felt like I needed to sure.

In the most recent episode, it is revealed that Laudna’s real name is likely Matilda. This has caused confusion as where the name Laudna has come from. Whether it be her mother’s name or some other thing.

But we see not only her parents refer to Laudna as “Laudna” but Laudna herself. When eight year old her was talking to Andy, Imogen was still calling her Laudna and she was responding without issue. But why then would still he call her Matilda if Laudna is what she prefers?

Then it hit me. Of course Andy would call her Matilda if that was her real name. How would he know otherwise? Laudna was probably not close with any of the other kids. If Laudna is name that she picked for herself, why would she tell her bullies that?

Laudna is her name. But besides her family, who else would she have to share it with?
