hi there! im a fan of your page 💕
can you give me the best studying techniques?
hi angel!! @mythicalmarion tysm for asking about study techniques 🤍 i'm so excited to share my secret methods that helped me maintain perfect grades while still having a dreamy lifestyle + time for self-care!! and thank you for being a fan of my blog, it means everything to me. <3
~ ♡ my non-basic study secrets that actually work ♡ ~
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(don't mind the number formatting)
the neural bridging technique this is literally my favorite discovery!! instead of traditional note-taking, i create what i call "neural bridges" between different subjects. for example, when studying both literature + history, i connect historical events with the literature written during that time. i use a special notebook divided into sections where each page has two columns - one for each subject. the connections help you understand both subjects deeper + create stronger memory patterns!!
here's how i do it:
example:
left column: historical event
right column: literary connection
middle: draw connecting lines + add small insights
bottom: write how they influenced each other
the shadow expert method this changed everything for me!! i pretend i'm going to be interviewed as an expert on the topic i'm studying. i create potential interview questions + prepare detailed answers. but here's the twist - i record myself answering these questions in three different ways:
basic explanation (like i'm talking to a friend)
detailed analysis (like i'm teaching a class)
complex discussion (like i'm at a conference)
this forces you to understand the topic from multiple angles + helps you explain concepts in different ways!!
the reverse engineering study system instead of starting with the basics, i begin with the most complex example i can find and work backwards to understand the fundamentals. for example, in calculus, i start with a complicated equation + break it down into smaller parts until i reach the basic concepts.
my process looks like:
find the hardest example in the textbook
list every concept needed to understand it
create a concept map working backwards
study each component separately
rebuild the complex example step by step
the sensory anchoring technique this is seriously game-changing!! i associate different types of information with specific sensory experiences:
theoretical concepts - study while standing
factual information - sitting at my desk
problem-solving - walking slowly
memorization - gentle swaying
review - lying down
your body literally creates muscle memory associated with different types of learning!!
the metacognition mapping strategy i created this method where i track my understanding using what i call "clarity scores":
level 1: can recognize it
level 2: can explain it simply
level 3: can teach it
level 4: can apply it to new situations
level 5: can connect it to other topics
i keep a spreadsheet tracking my clarity levels for each topic + focus my study time on moving everything to level 5!!
the information architecture method instead of linear notes, i create what i call "knowledge buildings":
foundation: basic principles
first floor: key concepts
second floor: applications
top floor: advanced ideas
roof: real-world connections
each "floor" must be solid before moving up + i review from top to bottom weekly!!
the cognitive stamina training this is my absolute secret weapon!! i use a special interval system based on brain wave patterns:
32 minutes of focused study
8 minutes of active recall
16 minutes of teaching the material to my plushies
4 minutes of complete rest
the specific timing helps maintain peak mental performance + prevents study fatigue!!
the synthesis spiral evolution this method literally transformed how i retain information:
create main concept spirals
add branch spirals for subtopics
connect related concepts with colored lines
review by tracing the spiral paths
add new connections each study session
your notes evolve into a beautiful web of knowledge that grows with your understanding!!
these methods might seem different from typical study advice, but they're based on how our brains actually process + store information!! i developed these through lots of research + personal experimentation, and they've helped me maintain perfect grades while still having time for self-care, hobbies + fun!!
sending you the biggest hug + all my good study vibes!! remember that effective studying is about working with your brain, not against it <3
p.s. if you try any of these methods, please let me know how they work for you!! i love hearing about your study journeys!!
xoxo, mindy 🤍

theres a lotta things i wanted to do this year but I think the thing that would help me the most is to like. start personal projects that make me enjoy my work again. x( i wanna be excited about game development and making games again, it really helped me push myself to learn and get better and this stagnating just feels terrible. Knowing what I'm capable of but not being able to set on the path to getting there.
#i unfortunately thrive in group settings with other passionate ppl#my work is not really a collaborative group setting#and my senior thesis project really burnt me out and kinda killed some of that joy#if i wanna keep in this career i need to figure out how to consistently stay driven#i should be modeling or texturing or sculpting or creating things every day#even just an hour a day#also if i want to be able to do more stuff that i can use in my portfolio i just need to get a lot quicker at making things#so i can justify my work to my boss#that + proper photogrammetry would b really useful#personal stuff#i never had any illusions about where i would go with this degree#i never really thought nor planned to get into any large studios working on huge games#i don't hate where i am with my job and that we do really meaningful stuff is incredible#i just wish it felt like any of it was MY work :/#i feel so disconnected from what I make and it's hard for me to feel pride in it#i gotta settle this out this year or get started on a new career path#and just let this be a personal thing for personal projects#the imposter syndrome is real too#by all rights i am fairly knowledgeable about what i do and i can be pretty quick learning new pipelines and texturing methods#i just am fighting executive dysfunction all hours of the day#i feel like i get so little done so slowly compared to so many other people#i see other ppl's portfolios and I feel embarrassed that I'm not at their level#im a 'its never too late to learn' person but man it feels like i'll just never catch up in terms of skill and speed and consistent output#every time i try to reassure myself it just falls flat. they had mentors but not everybody had mentors and they're still better :/#i have adhd and i have a hard time self-starting. but a really large amount of creatives in all fields have adhd and they still do so well#every thing that makes it tougher is the same for so many other people and it feels so frustrating that im just having a hard time#overcoming what everyone else seems to have overcome just fine#anyway sry for the rambling#i miss loving games soo much and having so many ideas and wanting to l earn new things

Me: rolls my eyes and judges fic writers who talk about how they can't control the characters, the characters control them, and then laugh it off like it's a good and valid way to write
Also me while writing my own fic: Oh shit... did you really just think that, [character]? Daaammmn..... I've never considered that for you before, but it makes so much sense. I love it!
#It's different when I do it okay! :P#The characters aren't doing whatever the hell they want in my fic first of all#These realizations happen as I'm drafting and fleshing out the reasons behind their actions that I have already planned#And it leads to some deep and profound moments that sheds light on characterizations that canon took for granted#You know what happens when you let the characters run rampant and you never analyze what you're writing?#You write yet another fic that demonizes characters outside the ship who shouldn't be demonized#Or you write another fic that gets the ship dynamics horribly wrong#and not in a 'we interpret this ship differently' way but in a way that demonstrates some deep internalized biases#These fics come off flat if not outright harmful and whatever good elements you unintentionally write into them does not negate that.#And yes I don't care how skilled you are at writing -- all good elements become an accident if you're not putting thought into#crafting the story#You can't say biases and prejudices that get into the fic are unintentional while still getting credit for the good elements#Fic is for fun yes and yes that means you don't have to edit it and treat it like a novel you want to query before you publish#But if you are putting any effort into your fics at all#-- AND I KNOW MOST OF THESE 'THE CHARACTERS CONTROL ME TEE HEE' AUTHORS ARE PUTTING IN A SHIT TON OF TIME AND EFFORT --#then AT SOME POINT you *have* to extend that effort into planning or editing your fic so you can reel in these biases#You're just being a lazy fuckwit if you don't#Sorry apparently I woke up in a MOOD this morning when I actually went to bed quite pleased#exactly because I discovered something new in Daphne's POV while drafting last night#Whatever. My words are harsh but I stand by it 🤷‍♀#I will never accept 'the characters do whatever they want' as a valid writing method outside of creative exercises#For stuff you're expecting other people to read that shit better be edited out and cleaned up#so you're telling the story you actually INTEND to tell#And if you don't have an intention even after completing the first draft#then why the fuck are you bothering with this story at all???#DO BETTER!! PRACTICE AND LEARN TO DO BETTER!!

Good students, on the other hand, constantly raise the bar for themselves
as they focus on what they haven’t learned and mastered yet. This is why high achievers who have had a taste of the vast amount of knowledge out there are likely to suffer from what psychologists call imposter syndrome, the feeling that you are not really up to the job, even though, of all people, they are (Clance and Imes 1978; Brems et al. 1994).

Cultivating Kindness through Social-Emotional Learning
Tumblr media
In our relentless pursuit of academic excellence, one facet often overlooked is the nurturing of emotional intelligence within the landscape of early childhood education. The concept of Social Emotional Learning assumes a vital role in cultivating empathy and compassion within our children, rendering it an essential part of their development.
The Architecture of Empathy and Compassion
The emotional resonance with others’ feelings constitutes the crux of kindness. Understanding the emotional world of others fosters a connection that transcends mere cognitive comprehension. As children become adept in recognizing and managing their emotions, they pave the way for compassionate interactions and mindful conflict resolution. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is a robust method that synergizes traditional academic pursuits with the essential emotional growth required to shape balanced, humane, and responsive individuals. Certain Indian educational initiatives, such as the Happiness Curriculum, equip children with an understanding of emotions, relationships, and ethical considerations, thereby nurturing empathy.
Mahatma Gandhi’s words “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others,” resonate profoundly with Social Emotional Learning, emphasizing the eternal relevance of compassion. Kindness transcends contemporary psychological constructs, finding profound resonance in ancient Indian philosophical traditions and modern ethics.
The Ethical Compass of Kindness
Encouraging children to embrace compassion and empathy lays the foundation for shaping morally upright citizens. Guiding young minds to decisions based on ethical principles fosters a lifelong adherence to virtues like kindness and parents and educators are instrumental in translating these principles into lived realities, not merely through words but demonstrative actions.
Did you know research indicates a link between early education in kindness and subsequent success in various life domains? This exploration into the theoretical foundations of kindness showcases the intricate relationship between psychology, philosophy, and the tangible practices within the sphere of K-12 education. Social Emotional Learning, far from being a mere academic term, offers a practical pathway toward nurturing compassionate, responsible citizens.
Cultivating Kindness through Practice and Insight
In the labyrinth of academic pursuits, the essence of empathy and compassion often remains obscured. Social Emotional Learning emerges as a beacon guiding our children toward a path of kindness, understanding, and compassion. Every child is a unique entity with distinct emotional needs. Tailoring the educational experience helps resonate with these individual attributes. By weaving the fabric of community into the educational process, a sense of belonging and shared responsibility is nurtured. The classroom metamorphoses into a sanctuary where theory merges with practice, enabling the young minds to grasp the subtleties of empathy.
Collaboration as an Empathy Builder
Working together fosters respect and appreciation for diverse viewpoints, an essential step towards developing empathy. Integrating ethical values within the curriculum ensures that moral development is not a mere appendage but an integral aspect of learning. Literature and arts unlock the door to an emotional universe, providing avenues for children to explore empathy and compassion. Literature offers children the ability to traverse diverse emotional landscapes, forging a deeper connection with empathy. Encouraging artistic pursuits enables children to delve into their emotions, facilitating emotional growth. Parents, in their capacity as primary caregivers, play an instrumental role in nurturing kindness at home, thus complementing the educational environment. Engaging children in open conversations fortifies the ethical lessons imbibed at school. Parents who embody kindness in their daily lives weave a living tapestry of compassion for their children to emulate.
Technology: A Modern Ally
The digital realm offers an innovative platform to extend the principles of Social Emotional Learning beyond conventional boundaries. Utilizing online platforms to foster empathy makes learning an engaging experience, like virtual community engagements and empathy-centric games bridge the theoretical and practical aspects of kindness.
Embracing Cultural Diversity
In a land marked by cultural plurality, embracing diversity ensures that the teachings of kindness resonate with the rich tapestry of local traditions. Acknowledging cultural values enhances the relevance and acceptance of empathy-driven education.
In this part, the practicalities of translating theoretical kindness into tangible practices have been explored. Through a rich blend of classroom strategies, parental guidance, technological integration, and cultural nuances, Social Emotional Learning stands revealed as an actionable tool.
The Long-term Impact of Kindness in Child Development
Kindness, beyond an ephemeral expression, constitutes an essential pillar of moral development in children. The cultivation of this virtue extends far beyond the confines of K-12 education.  The imbibing of kindness within the early stages of development has repercussions that last a lifetime. Kindness enriches not only the emotional realm but contributes significantly to cognitive growth and social well-being.
Emotional Resilience: A Byproduct of Kindness
Emotional resilience, a crucial trait in an ever-changing world, finds its roots in the nurturing of kindness. Teaching kindness fosters emotional connectivity with peers, family, and community, creating emotionally resilient individuals. In Indian schooling systems emphasizing empathy and compassion have witnessed improved peer relationships and emotional well-being in children.
Kindness and Academic Success: A Symbiotic Relationship
The nurturing of kindness is not an isolated endeavor but deeply intertwined with academic success. A classroom imbued with empathy and compassion creates a conducive atmosphere for learning. Studies have demonstrated that kindness and empathy play a pivotal role in enhancing problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
The Role of Parents and Teachers: A Joint Endeavor
The responsibility of nurturing kindness is a joint endeavor, where parents and teachers function as twin pillars. Harmonizing the teachings of kindness at school and home creates a consistent message, reinforcing its importance.
As Nelson Mandela wisely said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” This epitomizes the transformative power of an education imbued with kindness.
The Collective Responsibility
Cultivating kindness is not the sole responsibility of educational institutions. It requires a concerted effort from educators, parents, and the community at large. Parents are encouraged to take an active interest in their children’s emotional growth, reinforcing the teachings of empathy and compassion. Collaboration between parents and schools in supporting initiatives that emphasize Social Emotional Learning creates a nurturing environment.
Kindness as a Way of Life
The deliberate cultivation of kindness in young children, deeply rooted in theories related to emotional intelligence, empathy, and moral development, transcends the boundaries of mere education. It becomes a way of life, shaping the future citizens of our world. Encouraging our children to live by the principles of empathy and compassion creates a legacy of kindness, enriching their lives and the lives of those around them. By understanding, nurturing, and practicing kindness, we make strides toward a more compassionate society.

Saturn in the Houses
paid readings | Masterlist
ᡣ𐭩 Please support me by reposting, liking, following me and commenting your placement. Saturn represents resitictions, delays and obsticals however it's precious as it represents dicipline and what comes from struggle results in a beautiful flower of growth.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1st house When Saturn is in the first house, which governs self and identity, people tend to appear solemn, ordered, and occasionally restrained, which does manifest itself through elegance. Early trials may help kids develop strong morals and a sense of responsibility, resulting in high levels of independence. This placement emphasises the importance of developing a strong personal foundation and overcoming early emotions of inadequacy.
2nd house When Saturn is in the second house, which is responsible for personal resources, values, and finances. These natives may experience early limitations or concerns about money and possessions. They need to understand the true value of their possessions, learn how to manage their finances, and save prudently. They can achieve long-term security and a strong sense of self-worth with persistence and sensible management.
3rd house A guarded speaking pattern or difficulties in early schooling may result from having Saturn in the third house, which is in charge of siblings, communication, and the near surroundings. People may feel indebted to their siblings, and short-distance travel may result in delays. The lesson here is to overcome any anxieties of expression or perceived academic limits by developing clear, succinct, and careful communication abilities.
4th house The 4th House, which governs the house, family, and emotional roots, is sometimes associated with a rigorous upbringing or a strong sense of commitment to family concerns. There may be a desire to create a secure family environment, as well as early experiences with emotional restraint. Through hard work, the individual learns to develop a safe, long-lasting personal sanctuary as well as to establish strong emotional boundaries.
5th house The fifth house, where Saturn is located, is in charge of children, romance, creativity, and pleasure. Natives may encounter delays or proceed cautiously in these areas. Their ability to express themselves creatively may be restricted, or they may take parenting very seriously. The challenge is to get over the fear of criticism, embrace real creativity, and find true joy in a methodical but satisfying way.
6th house A strong sense of responsibility, a diligent work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail regarding daily activities, employment, and health are typically indicated by Saturn in the 6th House. These natives may be prone to health issues, difficult working conditions, or a tendency towards perfection. The lesson is to become more efficient, develop productive habits, and prioritise their health by engaging in self-care.
7th house When Saturn is in the 7th House, which governs partnerships and open enemies, it teaches significant lessons about equality, dedication, and accountability. Business or marital partnerships may be delayed or have significant commitments. People learn patience, loyalty, and the need of selecting partners who share their long-term goals in order to form solid, long-lasting relationships.
8th house With its associations with intimacy, change, and shared resources, Saturn in the 8th House usually imparts important lessons about power dynamics, trust, and vulnerability in relationships. Problems with debt, inheritance, or confronting one's flaws may arise. These natives do have a unique relationship to 8th house matters and they may work in fields revolving around matters such as death and taxes - alot of death nurses have 8th house saturns.
9th house Saturn is associated with a sober and methodical approach to information and belief systems since it is located in the 9th House, which is responsible for philosophy, advanced education, and long-distance travel. Individuals may face obstacles to their fundamental convictions or impediments in their further education. The process includes a thorough analysis of their worldview, the development of a thorough and ethical conception of truth, and a resolute search for wisdom.
10th house Aspiration and notable public achievement are strongly supported by Saturn in the 10th House, which is in charge of reputation, career, and public image. Individuals are often disciplined, accountable, and motivated to enhance their standing and reputation. Their perseverance usually results in persistent success, a strong reputation, and a position of substantial influence, even in the face of potential setbacks or disappointments along the route.
11th house When Saturn is in the 11th House, which is in charge of friendships, groups, and aspirations, people may have a more constrained and selective circle of friends or struggle with group dynamics. They are drawn to deep, enduring relationships and frequently feel a sense of duty to their community or humanitarian causes. The lessons to be learnt include creating strong, reliable networks and bringing fresh, important ideas to the community.
12th house Saturn, the 12th House's ruler of the subconscious, secret affairs, and religion, typically foreshadows karmic teachings about selflessness, solitude, or overcoming buried concerns. Natives may feel burdened by invisible commitments or experience periods of loneliness. To acquire mastery, one must confront subconscious tendencies, grow inner strength via spiritual discipline, and find peace by silently helping others and letting go of old responsibilities.

•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•○•
Ambessa Medarda - Dancing
She's sitting there in her chair, eyes fixed on you as your body moves to the music Ambessa picked specifically for you. You take care in each movement. The extensions of your arms and legs draw her in. She has a drink in one hand as the other, empty hand awaits your approach. Her eyes scan your body as you walk towards her, gaze lingering on your hips. When you had agreed to give her a lap dance, she had no idea how enticing you would be.
You kick a leg over her lap, body rolling directly in her face, and you see her hand twitch with eagerness. She keeps her hand at her side though, giving you time to work before she completely loses her patience.
“You didn't tell me you could move like this. I'm impressed. Should we test how flexible you really are?”
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Caitlyn Kiramman - Sewing
Caitlyn comes to see you after training, muttering to herself about the noticeable tear in her trousers. You wait until she removes the trousers and asks her to pass them over to you while she changes into pyjamas. You reach under the bed for your sewing kit and find the right thread colour. Caitlyn joins you in bed, curious as to what you're doing. When she sees that you're sewing up the hole for her, it warms her heart. It's oddly domestic and makes you feel like an old couple that's been doing this for years.
She's quiet as she watches you work, wondering where you learned such a skill. You pass her fixed trousers back over, telling her they're good as new, and she checks your work, thoroughly impressed.
“This is pretty good. How long have you been sewing? I've got a ton more clothes you can fix for me.”
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Grayson - Puzzle Solving
Being married, Grayson enjoys having some kind of domestic peace. A cozy break from her dangerous job. When she comes home from a rough day to see you sitting at the kitchen table, whizzing through a puzzle book, she feels a protective instinct bubble in her stomach. She wishes she could frame this moment and keep it forever.
She leans over your shoulder, watching as you clear through a page of riddles. You get the answers faster than she could've thought, and she admires your deduction method that you messily jot down in the empty spaces. Your intelligence is a trait of yours that she values highly.
“You should come and work for me. Your brain is incredible, you know that?”
Mel Medarda - Piano
Mel is a fan of the arts, whether it be musical, theatrical, literary or visual. When she finds a book of sheet music among your belongings, she asks you to play for her. She leans on the piano, watching as you play for her. The focused look on your face is adorable, and the natural way your hands move among the keys is enchanting. Your musical talents fuel her own creativity.
Mel asks you to play for her while she paints. Knowing you're playing for her inspires some of her art pieces. If you ever want to pursue music professionally, you have her full support. Until then, your music will stay her sole artistic muse.
“Can you play that piece again? It's my favourite. It reminds me of us.”
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Sevika - Singing
Sevika's got a soft spot for you. She catches you singing when you think you're alone and stays until the final note. She makes sure you can't see her at first. Then, she makes herself known when you're finished. She lets you know how much she likes your voice. It's like a moment of peace for her.
She asks you to sing for her when you're alone after a rough day. Your voice is like a warm blanket over her. She doesn't want anyone else to hear you though. She's selfish and wants to keep you all to herself.
“You're like my personal little songbird.”
✩♬ ₊˚.✂️⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Vi - Art
She finds a sketchbook of yours with cute doodles in it and asks you to replicate the designs on her gauntlets. She keeps any pieces of paper, folded napkins or fabric that you happen to scribble on. When it comes to more serious and larger pieces, she's relatively well-behaved. She watches you work, uncharacteristically quiet, as she focuses on your movements. She struggles to shut her mouth sometimes, but she really likes seeing your final products, so she behaves.
She brags about your talents and shows off what she's kept of yours. She wants everyone to see how amazingly gifted you are. Anything she finds that has an indicator of your drawing makes it into her personal collection.
“Hey baby, I got new gear. How about you pretty it up for me?”
