Being a reader has corrupted me. Like, there are some things in life which I cannot truly see the same again. Behind the devotion/obsession

A hard truth that must be acknowledged.

The thing about Saitama and Genos's mutual obsession with each other is that it's grounded in terror.

Each is terrified of losing himself, so they cling to each other tightly.

That this is not healthy long-term hardly needs saying. In a kinder universe, they'd each get therapy, make more friends and reintegrate their sense of humanity more securely so they could have a better relationship.

Chances of ONE letting them resolve their issues uneventfully...
