The evergreen shrub Monstera deliciosa (Swiss cheese plant, custard plant, fruit salad plant, Indian ivy, Mexican breadfruit) climbs using aerial roots. This is a commonly grown houseplant with heart-shaped, pinnatisect and often perforated, glossy deep green leaves and there is a variegated form, Monstera deliciosa 'Variegata'.
this encounter was my fault, i dont know what i was thinking throwing my spear like that but things turned out fine. I've been letting him watch what i do so far, however up until this point he's been hesitant to attack anything. but, this was a good sign that he was indeed learning.
i have been learning, too! this encounter did teach me how to stay on an enemies tail and track them (i heard shuffling in the top right corner and knew i needed to head over there), and to pay attention to any items i could grab in the moment, as he doesn't grab anything other than items i was holding.
Today involved a short walk around the arboretum to enjoy the very showy peacocks, lots of flowering plants and cacti, and butterflies everywhere. Had lunch at the mall. Went and saw The Fall Guy, which was definitely worth it and probably one of my favorites. Had soft serve and taiyaki at a new place in the mall and honestly it's the best taiyaki I've had in years (same with the soft serve, I'm already dreaming about going back). The day started out pretty bad but wound up being pretty good.
Custard. My son loves custard. I would go so far as to say he is addicted to it. He LOVES it. Absolutely loves it. He has a pot of custard every night after getting in from school. He loves it that much I’ve had to put a limit on it. He is allowed only 2 pots of custard a day. And very occasionally he does have 3!!! It has to be Ambrosia Custard though, nothing else.
