Hello and welcome! This is an online bookclub dedicated to reading through the Trigun manga series (which is Trigun, followed by Trigun Maximum). This time around, we'll be reading one omnibus volume about every month to celebrate the Dark Horse deluxe editions releasing! You don't have to read that version, @trigun-manga-overhaul is a fantastic fan translation project, and a great alternative! (Though please, if you can, support Nightow and the official releases!) All official images used in promotion of this event are from Overhaul.

If you fall behind or come in late, no worries! Feel free to hop in at your leisure, just know the main tag will have spoilers for the current volume.

One of the neat things about demon flirting versus human flirting is the opportunity for jealousy. Weird jealousy.

Bill complains to Dipper about a lot of things. How his day was going. About any plans that were foiled, if any. How dumb other beings are. But if, say, Bill started going on about this one real pest he's had hanging around lately, and how they're so irritating and getting in his way...

It is said that husbands gain a sixth sense upon becoming married. In Bill's case, it was actually his thirteenth - but when he notices Dipper’s gone oddly quiet, he hears the alarm bells ringing.

Oh, so this person, huh. Really irritating, Bill says. A thorn in his side, maybe? How annoying, exactly? Now Bill’s sweating as Dipper’s own annoyance rises. What, are they, like a new *nemesis* or something?

Now Bill’s on damage control duty as he reassures Dipper - entirely truthfully! - that he’s soooo infuriating and definitely the Worst Thing that's ever happened to him.

Hi Why did cere say, “Trilla” when she died?

If you haven't played Fallen Order, Trilla is Cere's previous padawan. So in her final moments, she thinks of her two students. I won't go into more detail if you haven't played the first game (definitely recommend it!) buuuuttttt now I'm thinking about this scene again.

Cere, defeated by Vader and lying alone in her burning archive, knows the contact codes are safe. She gave her family enough time to escape - enough time to preserve what's left of the Path. The Dark Shadow came and she was no longer afraid.

Cal once asked about her relationship with the Force. "The truth is that I'm still struggling," she had answered. "Everyday brings its own test. But when I feel weak, I can think of you and Trilla and remember: I still have the choice to do better. And that gives me strength."

Cal would eventually find her, his psychometry a posthumous witness to these final breaths. The Force wraps around Cere's fading body and she feels, if just for a moment, that Cal has already arrived. She sees his wrecked, grief-stricken face and blaster-stained shoulder. She says his name. There's so much she wants to tell him.

The Force calls to her and now Trilla is there, sweet Trilla, offering her hand the same way Cere had once offered to her. She no longer hears the fire, no longer senses her fatal wound. A tear falls onto Cere's cheek as she takes the outstretched hand.

"It's a new path for all of us."

i know i already pointed out the "captain wears his tie weird On Purpose" thing but the same does not apply to the way that captain wears his toupee slightly off center

i don't think he does that on purpose it seems to just Automatically off-center and re-center itself depending on whether it's captain or krupp wearing it . it's a law of physics i think
