personally i feel like people dont talk ab natsus / wendys dynamic enough.. and when it is its usually a ship dynamic -_-

I just tune out Wendy and Natsu shippers, out of sight out of mind (at the end of the day no real person will be harmed by some random person on the internet doing weird stuff — Natsu and Wendy are fictional characters — still doesn’t mean I wanna consume that sort of content, makes me violently uncomfortable)

But on the topic of sibling dynamics, I just LOVE the nirvana arc for that reason. Wendy looking up to Natsu, them getting to know each other (Natsu treating her like any other friend, even looking past the fact that she healed Jellal because he knows she could heal Erza from the snake venom)

Then the addition of Wendy’s dragon force manifesting as Natsu aesthetically!!!

Perfect combination of Natsu and Grandeeny, it’s so precious to me that her version of power is them💙 (and her fairy tail mark being the same position as Natsu’s too!! Such sibling behaviour)

i had my first experience WAY below the age i should’ve been, i wasn’t even CLOSE to being at the legal age of consent. they weren’t of legal age of consent either, but that doesn’t justify their actions

fiction affects reality, whether you like it or not. when you ship something you really wouldn’t want in real life, people who don’t know better ARE going to apply that to real life, and it is going to affect the people that then become victims, whether the victims were the ones who didn’t know better or the perpetrator/abuser.

i would have less of a problem with “proshipping” if they portrayed these as things that were bad. things that you wouldn’t want to see in real life. but they’re not portrayed that way. and so i have a problem with it.

Proship means you don't harass people over fiction. How is this a bad thing?

No shit you shouldn’t harass people online, but I really don’t want pedo and incest shippers to interact with me. It makes me uncomfortable and it really isn’t an insane boundary to set.

I have been very clear since the beginning of my blog that I will not make proship content, yet proshippers continuously ask me to make proship content and interact with my posts. It only seems fair for me to be transparent about that boundary so that there are no spats between me and the proship community.

Don’t waste your breath trying to convince me otherwise, I’m putting my foot down. If you’re upset by this, just block me. It’ll save both of us a lot of trouble.

like the coffin of Andrew and leyley. those guys that ship is IN CHARACTER. it's weird. it's messed up but you... kinda get it because they only ever had each other to rely on... and the toxic stuff about familial bonds IS ADDRESSED. leyley can easily manipulate Andrew because they grew up together. that's like one of the base problems with in*est. too much information. too much private access to stuff that you normally wouldn't know if you were partners...

like I think we should take the time and think WHY is in*est wrong instead of treating it as an alarm to run away.

controversially I think the coffin of Andrew and leyley handles the conceptualization well and takes accountability for how fucked up the situation is. they live in a [SPOILER] FOR FUCKS SAKE!

What's a proshipper?

Essentially someone who thinks fiction can’t and doesn’t affect reality, and/or believes people should be able to woobify, romanticize, and sexualize anything they want and that asking/telling them to, y’know, show some basic damn respect is synonymous with being against creative freedom. While it may have meant something good once upon a time nowadays it’s just a cover/dogwhistle for people who get their rocks off to p*dophilia, zoophilia, inc*st, noncon, and the like. Writing about those subjects as things that unfortunately exist in the world and treating them as the dire things they are is one thing, writing about them in a way clearly meant to paint them as attractive, “not that bad/harmful actually”, or fucking identities that belong under the queer umbrella is abhorrent and only shows that one views their own rancid fantasies as more important than the safety and wellbeing of other people, whether they be vulnerable to or already victims of such things.

Also. May or may not be related but I’ve found that a lot of proshippers often tend to also be transphobes/TERFs and exclusionists. So take that information as you will.
