😂 🙅♀️ 🗑 🏅 💡 ❤️ 🤔 💕 (don't mind me asking all the things. xD)
hihi! thank you so much for the ask, im sorry it took me a while, i had a weird night and a even weirder morning 😭
😂 : what's the funniest comment someone has left on a fic of yours?
i had to go through practically all of my fics to find one lmao, i think one i remember laughing at was from part 1 of CIAFOM where someone commented "bruh i haven't finished the fic but the second i got to, "Marc was vibing." BRUH WHY IS THAT SO FUNNY-" i remember liking that bc i was just happy someone liked the fic but im sure there are other comments that are funny too
🙅♀️: what is one trope you refuse to ever write?
uhhh i'll never write incest? im not a huge fan of non-con. im blanking on tropes as i type this lmao
🗑: what is one fic idea that you loved at first but then scrapped?
oh so many :/ i've paused CIAFOM bc i didn't like the direction i took the story. one that had been all written and ready but i hated how i had done it was a Camelot!AU where reader had to choose between different suitors during a masquerade ball but if i recall there was also like an invasion happening idk i just wanted to describe pretty ballgowns and have a 'who are you gonna pick' type situation
🏅: what is the fic you're most proud of?
either way down we go bc i wrote that when i was at my lowest inspiration wise and confidence wise and people actually liked it or burnt toast and vodka bc in my mind that's exactly how i would act in the marvel universe
💡: whats the weirdest thing you've ever been inspired by?
church sermon 😁 it was about sodom and gamora
❤️: who is your favorite character to write for and why?
it depends on what fandom! i love writing for Agatha and Yelena in marvel, Daniel jackson in stargate, mick rory and barry allen from the CWDC, and it all boils down to if 1) i see a part of myself in the character or 2) im attracted to them
🤔: what is one genre you've never written that you'd like to try?
science fiction? in both fic and my personal writing ive kinda avoided it bc im not that smart when it comes to technology and i feel like i would really make the fiction part stand out in the genre.
💕: what is the WIP that you are most excited about?
im working on an ambessa (from arcane) x reader fic rn that im excited about and then i have a few agatha ideas im working on that i hope will turn out ok!
thank you!! also i love that you asked a lot dw 🫶🏻

…how Ray (Palmer) tries to stop Nora (Darhk) from causing mayhem
But not really because she lets him
We all know who leads in that marriage
Spellcasters hate this fact but if you just stick your fingers in their mouth while they're casting a spell with a verbal component it's literally more effective than a counter spell.

A closer look: Why Crisis left a mess
This is going to be Supergirl focused, but there's no denial Crisis has or should have impacted all other CWDC shows just the same.
This is yet another long post of mine, so prepare yourself and click for the jump:
Ready? Good.
What was Crisis?
The relevant part being, that before Crisis there was an established Multiverse, which was birthed at the "dawn of time". The multiverses were numbered by their Earth equivalents, such as Earth-1 (CWFlash) and Earth-38 (CWSG). During Crisis, an anti-matter wave destroyed all variants - the so-called Paragons (incl. Supergirl, The Flash and a hitch-hiking / Book of Destiny -rewriting Lex) seeking rescue at a place outside of time and space (the Vanishing Point), being the only survivors of this Crisis. Purgatory also still exists, and somehow at least the past of Earth-TUD7 did, during these events.. What are the rules here!?
So, Paragons fight the big bad, Oliver Queen dies (again) and the universe is being reset, aka a new Big Bang happened. And our heroes wake up in their own time in a united Earth-Prime. (At this point, to my knowledge, the official state of the multiverse is unclear, but there are indications, that a new Multiverse started to branch out, with an unknown constant, instead of respective vibartional frequencies; e.g. the new Earth-2 is home to Stargirl)... Earth-Prime had been confirmed to be a merged version of (at least!) Earth-38, Earth-1, -2 and Jefferson's Earth / -TUD5...)
And, Lex Luthor managed to somewhat pen this new (prime) universe, making himself a hero, loved by all, owner of the DEO... and Supergirl working with/for him.
...so...
We later learn, that in this Earth-Prime's past Kenny lived. Which lead to a young Kara using her powers much sooner. Becoming much more confident in them. Which basically changes the premise of CWSG's first season. And therefore impacted everything following... Which in essence means:
The whole of the first FOUR AND A HALF seasons of the show became INVALID.
I’ll come back to that. For now...
What else do we know / need to know?
There are 4 (to 5) types of people:
1) Those who survived through the events of Crisis and/or where part of Lex's package deal (Lena, per his deal with Mar Novu). They kept their original memories (OM), and only their original memories, and woke up in this strange new world and have to figure out its past. (E.g.: Kara has no memory of filming a TV commercial with Lex and Lena.) ..Lex himself is somewhat exempt from this, since this new world basically left everyone in his own fanfic, so he generally knows what's what.
Aka: "Kenny died"
2) The vast majority of people, who only know this post-Crisis world and its past. They do not naturally remember the events of the original multiverse.
Aka: "Kenny lived"
3) People who have their posts-Crisis memories (PCM) and were given their OM by others (J'onn and his Cisco-made Martian Memory Restorer ring).
Aka: "Kenny died and he lived"
4) There are also some special cases, beings with psychic abilities, and refugees (or doppelgaengers) from other Earths (which hurts my brain, since every Earth / universe was destroyed, they should have perished too / merged into the new state of post-Big-Bang) may remember their Earth's original timeline. Refugees/doppelgeangers die, unless/until there's only one version left. Beings who were outside time and space (like Hell or Purgatory) also retained their respective OM, at least partially.
5) ...and then there's Kara (and Nyxly) who only had her OM, but somehow seems to have (naturally?) regained at least flashes of the new reality during her time in the - fractured - Phantom Zone... [6x03]
...There's also Lillian who wasn't in Lex's package-deal. Lex merely told her of the original timeline. We may assume that this Lillian hence had a whole different set of experiences, which change her attitude and character /-development accordingly.
Oh, the fun Crisis left behind. Or not fun. Not funny at all, actually. It’s frustrating! On so many levels...

To illustrate the Post-Crisis-invalidates-the-majority-of-the-show mess, here a few examples:
Kara was much more confident in the usage of her powers, knew / learned rather well how to fly as a teenager, changing lots of things about the dearly loved pilot episode.
Kara actually had a healthy relationship in her youth, to base her adult ones on.
Growing up, Kara had someone outside her adopted family who knew about her (being an alien / having powers).
Alex did trust her sister and her sister's abilities much sooner.
Alex was much less opposed to Kara's heroism.
Alex and Kara had a different and more communicative relationship prior to Alex moving to National City - presumably changing the premise of Alex’ (and Kara’s) recruitment to the DEO, especially if Lex already owned the DEO.
Lex making DEO a subsidiary of Luthor Corp (which was founded sometime after Superman's arrival on Earth) also should impact several things / events, in particular J'onn's involvement.
There never was a DEO desert-facility (may or may not impact season one from marginally to a lot)
Lex and Superman never had a feud. (Lex never turned the sun red, never tied Lena to a chair to watch.) Which changes SO MUCH!
E.g.: Giving Lillian much less of a reason to found Cadmus. Her lack of involvement (further affirmed by the Luthors not being tied to anything bad, terrorist or destructive in the post-Crisis world) negating parts of season one, and a majority of season two. There was a company called Cadmus, tho, which Jeremiah worked for...
There can be a case made, that after Supergirl's first appearance, it was Lex (not Lena) who decided to take charge of the thus far neglected LuthorCorp branch in National City and made it his home-base, to keep tabs on Supergirl and make her his pawn. Which may change Lena and Kara’s dynamic / shared past entirely. Even if Lex assigned this mostly to Lena, him pulling the strings in the background already changes so much...
Lena being the world’s most beloved individual’s (Lex’) little sister would have very likely changed her experiences too. Even if she saw through him, secretly worked with SG, all her power-struggles would have had a whole different dynamic. Different opportunities...
Lex pretending to be the good guy as well as Lena and Lex (at least publicly) being in agreement (PCM-wise), indicates Lena never got fired from LuthorCorp and likely never worked with Jack Spheer in their garage (to cure cancer using nano-bots).
Morgan Edge (who got a major face-lift in Superman & Lois) never crossed paths with Supergirl or Lena (easily erasing one third of season 3's plot).
Speaking of Morgan Edge: He's a whole different species now! So, what other major changes did Crisis bring forth!?!
Since Kal-El had not been wrapped in his blanket / cape as a baby, the cute bonding moment between him and Kara didn't happen... at least the way we were shown.
RedDaughter existed, which may infer Reign still happened. However, Lex - to (still) be seen as the good guy - may have taken a different route in training her, and him being publicly on good terms with SG, the lack of appearance (presumed death) of RD, things must have happened differently, aka no Lex-O-Suit battle or he simply won. ...changing not much, but certain points and premises of the respective events and episodes of season four.
Lex's involvement with the Children of Liberty (or the Graves' siblings') may or may not have happened differently, as Lex had SG as his pawn and no need to build up Lockwood to oppose her specifically, resulting in maybe only minor changes to season four.
Andrea Rojas never met Russell Rogers... why's William there then? Must have had different reasons. Maybe he never bullied Kara then. We'll never know. Could have changed Kara and William's whole dynamic in season five.
There are large quantities of Kryptonite stored in the DEO. Negating the need for Lex or Lena to synthesize the stuff... (Maxwell Lord may have still tried it, so RedK may still be a thing.)
Any Cross-over should no longer have happened, since breaches between the multiverses no longer work / universes are no longer separated by vibrational frequencies. There may be / probably are new mechanics at play, but there's no indication that these have been discovered yet anywhere on Earth-Prime. (Yet, on the Flash, one alternate Wells left behind his Naltorian brandy... which makes no sense in context with the rest of information and presumed facts given in the CWDC shows... *sighs frustatedly*)
...as I said, “a few examples”. Believe me, there is SOOOOO much more. Or don’t believe me and think about it yourself. Each and every episode of the show has at least something that would be changed, would not have happened, would have happened entirely differently because of Crisis...
In short:
Crisis left a huge narrative mess. Or lack of, well, any narration.
Whole events from previous seasons have changed, small and large. Changing people's experiences. Informing whole new choices and character developments. Even going as far as changing at least one character's very species!
Practically erasing and rewriting everything we thought we knew. NOTHING is how it was.
And you know what?
That also impacts the future!
Legion? We don't know anything about them (post-Crisis-Winn was a bit pre-occupied fighting his evil twin to tell us much). Their future is already based on the changed, new, post-Crisis timeline.
And yes, that also includes Mon-El, his time-jumps, experiences in the future, state of relationship with Imra...
(5x13 implies that Mon-El was in the present during the events of 3x18, even replacing J'onn when trying to warn Patricia Arias and confronting Reign. However all other Mxy-tapes seem to take place in the pre-Crisis timeline, with L-Corp existing et al...)
Thanks to Crisis we know nothing.
Not our favorite characters, their character arcs, past events and how they transpired. Crisis made the majority of the show a moot point.
Even Kara herself hardly knows HER OWN PAST!
Thanks, Crisis. 😒
....
On a more optimistic note, tho, there’s a lot more room for fanfics now...
Kue out.

...Why would she call it that?
I know it’s the name used in the comics
but if she meant it as a means of preservation then the name makes absolutely zero sense...
Not to mention that in the comics it was apparently made by the xenophobic Kem-L to keep the Kryptonians on Krypton and everyone else out.

Imagine we had a Batman show and the actor that plays Bruce decided to leave after the first season. Would they kill off Bruce Wayne or would they recast him. I think it's obvious that they would recast, because killing off Bruce Wayne just because the actor left would be absolutely outrageous.
So why do the Batwoman writers think it's okay to do it to Kate Kane who IS Batwoman?
Absolutely ridiculous.
As much as I like the other actors and characters, I won't be watching season 2. I have no intention of investing any more of my time with a show whose writers and producers don't give a f*ck about their fans.
Such a waste.

So here is why I like Crisis on Infinite Earths so much as a TV special
It breaks the meta. I mean it's the Spider-Verse comic but earlier and entire super hero groups.
They are going to change/destroy the versions of characters that didn't work like the recent movies or the plethera of implied alternate universe from the Flash.
They are bringing back some of the Smallville cast who started this Warner Brothers super hero show phenomenon. Granted they won't have Lex, one of my favorite Lex Luthor depictions, because they weren't going to give him any lines and basically no paycheck.
They could mix in some Dark Metal too just to bring the Red Death into the mix.
The God damn voice of Batman will be an old Bruce Wayne.

While most people want earth 1 And 38 to merge, then there is me wondering how epic it is if earth 38 and marvel or Whovian come together.
Tbh, I don't see the point in hating dc or marvel, they are both awesome and both deserve an equal amount of love.
I also don't see the point in basing ships. I mean I have ships and some I don't like, but I don't go bashing them, because you know why they are all fictional characters, no need to stress over ships. I mean that's why fanfiction was made .
I have ships, but I really care anymore about if they have a moment a well depending. Because of Im more interested in the show, it's not about ships.
So Im gonna say it, fandom is never happy and there is always something that gets fans to work up. I find I use to do this. But I suppose sometimes its good have some agreement and disagreement it keeps the fandom awake. While waiting.
Less your one of those who watch afar and don't get involved.

My second biggest problem with DC comics as comics is how often I would be going along in one of the select DC series that I read and suddenly without any real warning I would come into the middle of a story line that had started in three other series that I had no interest at all in reading. And then the story I had gotten attached to would veer so far off track and it wouldn’t make any sense unless I shelled out another $12-20 for five pages that actually related to my interests.
Marvel occasionally did it too, but, even during the big old Civil War story line, as long as you knew that the event was happening you could follow just your favorites and they would individually make sense.
I found myself wondering why I didn’t really have this problem with the CWDC shows and their five part crossovers that span between all of their shows. I’ve occasionally taken issue with their content or their habit to claim to start during Supergirl, but only really in the last five minutes, but I’ve never really had any trouble with the idea that if I don’t watch them all then stuff won’t make any sense.
After thinking it over, I came to two basic conclusions:
1) The more obvious one. While I don’t and never have read every title published by DC (or any comic company) at any given time, I do tend to watch all of the CWDC shows (I did briefly quit Supergirl when they erased Alex’s memories, but caught up when they fixed that. Also, may have skipped a good portion of the end of season 4 of Arrow.) So it doesn’t really change my viewing habits except I feel more of a pressure to watch them all live, which can be a bit of an issue.
2) I’m not paying anything for them. The average comic from the two big name companies when I was younger was $2.99 an issue and now it’s $3.99 an issue (and issues seem to be getting shorter at that) and honestly both of those prices seemed like too much to spend when it seemed like every other issue I was being asked to buy several more books just to keep up. One might have to spend more time and suffer through more ads to keep up with the big Crossover Event, but you’re not paying a dime more than what you would already be paying for TV or internet or whatever.
