Regarding the recent post...

It was my first attempt, ever, at drawing a poc character. Is...there a better term???? I got chewed out once for using the word black. By a white person, of course. But IS there a correct term??? I've never drawn this kind of character before. Including the hairstyle. I wanted to make sure I didn't draw them inappropriately or offensively. Tried looking up guides, but got questionable results.

I know I saw a guide once on here, but I don't feel like, or have the data for, swiping through posts for hours until I find it. I really want to do more LN3 art, but want to make sure I don't fuck up on drawing Low.

oversharing here but I was in tears having a mini anxiety attack bc I had to stop at the doctor after work and (TMI ALERT) get a pimple on my leg cut open cuz I didn't feel confident actually popping it myself but it was horrible and the doc (not my regular doc but she was still nice) said it was definitely infected

soooooo now I have to go get an antibiotic (which she's probably doing "just in case" any of the bacteria try to get into my blood) and I'm honestly angy about that

but my leg feels better and I think my injured foot is finally turning a corner

I also got my new water bottle with scent pods that will trick my brain into thinking I'm drinking flavored water and honestly it's not totally perfect or super duper strong but it does kinda work! me likey

now I'm off to make ice and ccrunch on that ice and write some things <3

wilson, in contrast, never manages to escape the inevitable, in spite of his best efforts to find a house-lite of his very own, because he's an absolute fucking freak and ends up glued to house to the bitter. bitter end

Steven Universe discourse still cracks me up like

Y'all got a show made by people who clearly love doing their job with explicit LGBT+ rep including non-binary rep and a majority female cast with a variety of body types and with multiple women POC voice actors regarding topics like mindfulness meditation, forgiveness, trauma, PTSD, establishing boundaries within relationships, compassion, with an overall message of forgiveness

And yet y'all seemed to wish for the series' demise at every moment and complained about the most insignificant details like that the storyboard artists had slightly inconsistent art styles

The messages and characters are so complex and compelling and the show gets you to think about difficult concepts and topics which flew over people's heads completely

People still think Steven should've idk wiped out the Diamonds? In the show where the whole message is that people are complicated representations of their experiences and trauma and people deserve second chances?

Idk I feel like a lot of "fans" who start discourse don't actually like the show, otherwise they'd actually absorb the basic premise of it
