Komaegi Headcanons:
Makoto grew up learning how to cook for himself and his sister since his parents worked at a lot, whereas Nagito never had anyone to teach him. So when they move in together, Makoto makes most of the meals. Nagito decides to try and learn in secret to surprise him, but almost sets their apartment on fire, so they agree to just have Makoto start teaching him. It becomes one of their favorite date night activities.
Nagito can't have strong liquor since it doesn't mix well with his medication, so on their anniversaries Makoto goes out of his way to find really nice wine that doesn't have a high alcohol percentage.
Nagito likes having things; small little collections of things he finds cute, pretty, or just have sentimental value to him. After noticing, Makoto started getting him little tokens of his affection. Nothing to expressive or overwhelming (since Nagito still has a hard time accepting gifts), but a plushie of a cute animal, a small porcelain figure, or some other trinket Nagito would like.
Makoto has a hard time remembering things sometimes, especially when he's busy with work. Nagito always makes sure to keep track of important upcoming dates or notes, and has had to remind Makoto to take his t-shot on more than one occasion.
Nagito gets anxious about driving, always worried his luck will cause something bad to happen, so Makoto always drives them somewhere that's too far to walk or take the train. He'll rest on of his hands on Nagito's thigh or sometimes hold his hand when he needs extra reassurance for something; this is usually reserved for when they're going to Nagito's doctor appointments.
Nagito's therapist recommends getting a service animal, something like a therapy dog to help when he's distressed at home. He's still too worried to get another dog after what happened when he was younger, so Makoto recommends they start small and buy a fish. Nagito picks out a beta fish, mostly because they're pretty, and spends a lot of time researching how to take care of it. Lucky the beta fish ends up very spoiled, to say the least.
Makoto gets really into fitness when he's older, especially after top surgery. Nothing too extremely, but he does end up a bit broader than he used to be. Paired with his little growth spurt after high school, Nagito's able to wear some of his clothes despite being four inches taller. Makoto still gets flustered whenever he sees Nagito wearing one of his shirts as pajamas.
Similarly, Nagito still covers his blushing face whenever he comes home to see Makoto wearing one of his hoodies during laundry day.
Makoto sometimes like to show-off his strength by picking up Nagito, but since he's too tall to pick up by the waist, he always picks him up bridal style. Makoto likes it, Nagito really likes it.
Nagito's very touch-starved, but is also worried about initiating contact in fear that it will scare the other person away; especially someone as important to him as Makoto. Thankfully,, Makoto's a naturally touchy person. He's always hugging people, brushing shoulders with them, leaning against them. When he notices Nagito's positive reactions to it, he's more than happy to offer a hand to hold in public or allow him to cuddle into his side during a movie. Eventually, Nagito becomes more open to asking for affection; from tugging on Makoto's sleeve to wrapping his arms around his waist and resting his head on his shoulder.
In the beginning of their relationship, both of them were too nervous to kiss the other. Makoto would peck Nagito on the cheek in goodbye or kissing the knuckles of his prosthetic arm when he needed reassurance. Most of their first kisses were really short because Nagito was scared of messing them up.
Makoto likes playing with Nagito's hair and kissing his forehead when he's asleep in the morning. Except Nagito always wakes up first and only pretends to be asleep. He used to pretend so that he wouldn't embarrass Makoto, but then he started liking it and was too embarrassed to ask for it. Makoto finds out after he says something sweet about Nagito (probably calling him pretty) and Nagito blushes.
On the day that Makoto proposes to Nagito, they has the absolute worst luck. Literally everything is going wrong; their car won't start, the train station is crowded and they miss their stop, their restaurant reservation gets canceled. By the end of the night, however, they're able to laugh about it and smile. Makoto decides it's the perfect time to ask the question, and Nagito says his luck cycle rewarded his once again.
The ring Makoto gives Nagito is custom made to fit his prosthetic. The back is cut so that he doesn't have to slip it over his fingers, and it's a few sizes bigger than his right ring finger so it will fit his left hand perfectly.
They agreed to do the tradition of not showing the other partner their wedding outfit, as they thought it would be fun. Turns out the two of them end up choosing the same suit; which Makoto is embarrassed about, but Nagito sees as a sign of them being perfect for each other.
