Thinking about how Taylor was so set on his dad being something awesome actually. And like, ignoring the fact he was right- I think it’s such a fascinating phenomenon. Consuming so much anime and being chuuni because it’s coping! Because if his dad isn’t around it has to be because he has some greater purpose- or he’s waiting to show up when the world is in danger. Then thinking about when it actually happens and how fucking scared Taylor is.

Taylor is consumed by fantasies to the point where it embeds as part of his personality- he starts pretending as a coping mechanism, and then starts to really ENJOY that- it’s just his made up fantasy where everything is exactly how he can plan it. He’s saving the world in his head- but he isn’t ACTUALLY in danger. Thinking about losing the control- the scenario coming true, trying to hold onto your love of it- but without the ability to bend it to how you want, shit gets SCARY. He seems like the perfect one person to go on this journey- but he’s not. Because he’s only perfect when he knows what to expect.
