Connor x reader
Fandom: Detroit Become Human.
Character: Machine-Connor.
Genre: angst (sorta) / hurt no comfort.
"Connor,please don't do this.."
Walking slowly on the rooftop, hands in front of her, trying her damn hardest to persuade the android who was focusing on the sniper in his hands.
"Detective, you are off the case, you cannot intervene anymore"
He didn't even look at her, however her resolve did not waver, she had to bring him back to his senses.
Crouching near the edge of the rooftop, and with precise presesion he locked on the target.
The devient leader, RK200.
"No no! You have to listen to me,Connor! They are sentient beings! They have feelings and loved ones and-"
"This is your last chance, Detective. Leave right now, or I will take the necessary actions against you"
He wouldn't...would he?
Sweet, precious Connor, who stole her breath the moment she laid her eyes on him, who got her coffee every morning the way she liked , and then proceeded to info-dumb everything coffee-related on her, who criticized her about her junk food consumption, who protected her from being shot by the tracis in the Eden club, who gave her his jacket when she was fretting over his injured shoulder because she was shivering.. he wouldn't hurt her..right?
"Connor.. you are more than your program, you are more than what anybody tells you, please just listen-"
She didn't comprehend that he moved, until she was staring at the barrel of the gun he apperantly had on his person.
His eyes were so dead, that was not her Connor.
Or maybe it was...
Maybe she was too blind to notice, she let her feelings for him consume her mind.
She couldn't change him. It was too late. She was too late.
Was she was even important to him like he was to her?
Did he even realize.... no, was he able to understand how she felt for him?
"I warned you, Detective..."
His eyes, she was so stupid, they were like this from the begining, machine-like and so lifeless.
So so blind..
Tears welled up in her eyes, hands shaking, not from the cold this time, a broken smile slowly twisted her pretty features.
"I'm sorry.."
"There's no nee-"
"I'm sorry to myself for loving you, for thinking that you felt something, anything, for me.. and the worst part, is that I still love you, and I hate myself for it."
"Well, it's your fault, Detective. You know that androids cannot harbor feelings, and you chose to continue with the fantasies you created in your mind.
You cannot blame me for what I am..
After all, I was built for a specific purpose..
And I always accomplish my mission."

Mystery Hack
Chapter 1: Welcome to Mystery Hack
Connor RK800!machine connor x Reader
Warning: Conspiracy theory, smoking, drinking.
Tumblr media
27 January 2039
Connor knocked on Kamski door, his new partner waiting beside him. After the android revolution and his success in the case and to stop the revolution, it cost him an upgrade, making him part of the FBI to keep investigating on the deviant.
This morning, while studying the default program, Connor had found a cryptid code hidden behind line of coding. It had taken him the entire morning to process everything and understand the logical behind it, but when he saw what was written, his program almost broke.
“RA9” was written, appearing in all the programs he had run. Even in his program. It was like a taunting revelation.
So, Connor had contact Kamski who accepted is meeting without thinking, even after what happened last time.
Chloe had opened the door, leading them to Kamski. And this time, Connor would get the information he wanted.
“I certainly didn’t expect to see the deviant hunter again. Where’s your partner?” Elijah Kamski said, his head pointing to agent Wilson.
Connor knew he was referring to lieutenant Hank Anderson. He felt a pull in his thirium pump, playing a quick self diagnosis.
“We do not work together any more” Connor admitted.
He chased the thought of that night away.
“We have a few questions for you.” Agent Wilson said, showing him the FBI insigne.
Kamski invited them to sit, asking Chloe to serve the agent.
“What do you want to know?”
Connor leaned forward, his hand joint together.
“I’ve made an interesting discovery. A line of code named RA9 is present randomly in every android program. Even mine.”
Kamski didn’t seem to react, letting him continued.
“During our research, we’ve noticed an occurrence between each deviant. They seemed obsessed with RA9. You coded every android, they are all based on your work. What do you know about this?”
Kamski leaned back on his chair, sighting. He looked away, probably thinking of a way out for himself, Connor thought.
“I don’t know anything.” He said, exhaling sightly.
“You must know, you’re the creator.” Connor continued.
Another sight.
“I have a Wozniak.” he said, a smile on his face, looking away.
Connor frown.
“What does it have to do with the case?” Agent Wilson asked.
“I am not the only programmer. I never was. We were two behind cyberlife creation. I am Jobs, Y/N is Wozniak.” He said, explaining his analogy.
Connor stayed silent. Cyberlife never mentioned her. In all his rapport, all the discussion, no one mentioned her. Kamski seemed to noticed Connor thought.
“They never talked to you about her, right?”
Kamski scoffed when Connor signed no with his head.
“No wonder. They hated her. She was smarter than me, a genius, but her idea weren’t exactly what they wanted. Everything i did she improved it. She worked on you before cyberlife forced her way out.” He continued
Connor thought of it. He only had one creator, at least, that’s what Amanda told him. If she had been lying about this, what did she keep away from him. They were no records of her in his program and cyberlife didn’t mention her anywhere. But the media did. And his analysis on Kamski revealed he was speaking the truth. Why were they hiding this from him.
“That would totally be her work if you want my opinion.” Kamski said, seeing Connor’s led flashing yellow.
“Where is she now?” Connor asked, raising from his seat.
The cocky smile Kamski had faded, falling into a thin line as he looked away.
“I don’t know. She disappeared two years ago.” He said, his voice lowering.
Once again, he was saying the truth. He doubted he would get any further information.
“Than you for your cooperation.” Connor said, heading toward the door.
“Is cyberlife happy about your accomplishment? They must be thrilling now that they have a super puppy to stop deviant. Have they sent the new one already?” Kamski shoot to Connor.
Connor turned to him, observing the creator walking to him. Chloe's position shifted, becoming less welcoming to them. What would he mean by “new one”?
“I expected better from you Connor” Kamski said a few centimetres away from him, still moving to him.
“She certainly expected better too.” He whispered this time, colder.
His hand moved in the air, instructing Chloe to lead them out.
Later that day and, for the next few days, Connor had tried to find any lead toward this Y/N. He didn’t find any files about her. When ask Amanda, she denied him answer.
“There was never a Y/N at cyberlife.” She had said, simply, shifting the conversation.
One thing was clear in his mind. He needed to find this Y/N.
He would hunt her down if he had too.
It was his mission.
16 May 2039
The investigation had hit a stop. Ever since his visit to Kamski’s house, Connor had found no other information. All he knew was RA9 was a code, the effect of that code remaining a mystery. All he had was a name that didn’t appear anywhere.
Y/N L/N.
No social media, no bank account, no identity.
There was nothing for him to work on.
Agent Wilson sight, his finger massaging his temple. No one inside the FBI nor the CIA who had recently joined them had found anything.
It was a dead end.
The TV coming from the break room starting crackle. Connor frown his eyebrow, seeing agents running around suddenly in panic, screaming orders.
“What’s going on?” Wilson asked.
“Someone has hacked all TV channels, diffusing a countdown. It’s fucking worldwide.”
“All?”
The agent in front of them nodded. Connor headed toward the break room, sneaking past the others officer. Then he saw it. On a black screen, the countdown was running down.
“2 Days 7 hours 14 minutes.” Connor registered.
“Someone found these bastard.” The chief screamed.
“Connor, with me, now.” He said, exiting the room.
18 May 2039
The silence was palpable in the FBI office. Each person was at their post, ready to intercept whatever would go through in the next few minutes.
It had been 2 days 7 hours and 8 minute since the countdown had appeared on the screen. In 10 minute, the countdown had disappeared, sending back all TV program. Like nothing happened. The FBI hadn’t been able to find out where it came from. Now, they were waiting patiently to see if it was a world threat, or just a simple joke.
In any minute now, they would have the answer.
2 minutes left. The tension filled the room.
1 minute left. The chief had raised his arm, ready to send the orders for all the best hackers of his team to find any information about them.
All TV screen shut down, going black.
No one was breathing.
A dark grey room appeared, lighten by a simple light in the background. Empty if it weren’t for the armchair in the middle of it and a white board right behind it.
Someone was sitting on the sofa, faced masked. They were wearing a black suit with a tie, hand resting over their crossed leg. The masked was a reference to “Vendetta”. Clearly it couldn’t be any good sign.
The person in the sofa seemed to go to life, raising from their sit, tightening their tie back.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the mystery hack. I will be your host for the next month, guiding you through every dark secret, conspiracy the government had keep away from you dear citizen.”
The hackers had been already tapping over their screen, trying to find any clue. The voice of the host was cryptid. The only thing Connor could identify was that the person seemed to be a woman, therefore more than half the population.
“Let me guide you through this journey with a simple topic for today. To your precious life, my team and i have been gathering information from our respective job inside the government to put thing right. We will provide you all information, accompanied by the reports and states document. Because the government have been lying to you, and we want you to know the truth.”
Everyone in the room had grown pale.
“Does anyone have anything? Anything to even shut them down?” The chief’s voice sounded urging.
Everyone in the room nodded no.
“Don’t worry, we will go crescendo. I said that to all the FBI and CIA watching.” They joked, waving.
Nothing could be used. Every time the team find a location, it changed, over and over again. The signal was too cryptid to shut down anything. The worst part was, it was everywhere.
The person on the screen walked toward the white board, flipping it, revealing a title.
“JFK’s Assassination.”
“For fuck’s sake’s, someone stopped it.” The chief order, only to encounter defeated look.
“We can’t”
“All of us have heard about conspiracy theory, though, let me give a quick definition. A conspiracy theory is an explanation for an event or situation that asserts the existence of a conspiracy by powerful and sinister groups, often political in motivation.”
The host sat on the armchair, hands crossed on her knees. She turned to the headboard, before returning face camera.
Everyone had stopped their action in the office, now in admiration of the show. Whoever this person was, she knew how to keep the audience.
“We all have heard about fake death, disappearance, assassination. We’ve seen these case with Martin Luther King Jr or Nelson Mandela, the Princess Diana. I know you all loved her very much. So did i.”
On the internet, the “Mystery Hack” research had been exploding all record for the past few minutes.
“I will talk to you about the sadly famous John Fitzgerald Kennedy assassination. Let’s head back to the 22 November 1963. The President of the United States, JFK got shoot in the head in Dallas.”
For 10 minutes that felt like an eternity, the host kept going, proving her point with legit report, autopsy report, contract with the CIA and even recordings and mail exchanged that people in the room didn't seem aware of. Truly it could only be seen as legitimate. The allure of the host, appealing and charismatic only induced trust. It wouldn’t take much for the public opinion to be on their side, especially after the disaster of the peaceful revolution the deviant had lead months ago.
They couldn’t expect a better timing to do their propaganda.
“I got something.” Someone screamed.
It was too beautiful. Like a purpose act that they find something just now. Connor knew it was no coincidence when the host had a look at the watch attached to her wrist.
“14 minutes and 56 seconds. Not bad for a first time. No worries, the next time it won’t be as easy.”
They knew they were in. They let them in on purpose.
“Well, until our next meeting dearest.”
The screen goes black, cutting all information, all access.
“It’s over.” one of them in the room said.
Connor was at a bar exit. His partner had needed some air, talking about going to one of the pubs in Detroit. Connor had followed him, thinking it would be faster to stay at his side if any news appeared.
He hadn’t been allowed in the bar though. There he was, waiting outside, his coin in his hand.
Someone exited the bar. A woman. She sights, looking around before searching for something in her purse, only finding an empty cigarette pack. Another sight.
Connor moved his hand to his pocket, taking the cigarette pack he kept for his partner, handing it to the woman. He had learned agent Wilson could be easily frustrated without his nicotine. Since he seemed to forget a lot to buy new cigarette, Connor had made a secret stack.
“I didn’t know android could smoke. Thank you.” She said, offering him a warm smile as her fingers grasping for one of the cigarettes.
“We can’t. It’s for my partner.” He said simply, putting the coin back in his pocket, alongside the cigarette pack.
He turned looking at her, observing all her movement. She was wearing a black dress matching with black heels, her hair was loosed on her back. The woman was smaller than he. Connor felt something familiar emerging from her.
She looked back, feeling observed and Connor turned his head away, ashamed to be caught staring.
He expected to end it here, but the woman moved closer to him, and he shifted toward her.
“You’re the deviant hunter right? Connor?” She asked.
“Yes.” He answered?
A nod. Then, her hand moved to his neck. He didn’t pull back, blushing slightly when she straightens back his tie, his cheek tinting with a soft blue shade. That couldn’t be normal, he thought, running a quick diagnosis.
“There, perfect pretty boy.” She said, looking at him with soft gentle eyes.
Connor felt his cheek burning harder under the praise.
“Thank you, Connor, for the cigarette.” she said, patting his vest, her finger lingering over the serial number.
The cigarette ended up crushed on the wall as she head back inside.
“What’s your name?” He asked, turning to see her.
“Y/N. My name is Y/N.”

goodbyes are sour
connor x gn!reader — 2.1k words
genre: angst sorta! mutual pining in denial
warnings: mentions of guns and killing, kabedon for the sake of science, connor unreliable narrator LOL u have feelings android man… maybe ooc idk. (wrote this w the idea of connor being deviant since the beginning bcs Yeah!)
synopsis: You meet Connor again. Turns out things are much more complicated when you aren’t working together.
author’s note: hi dbh fic?! i Love connor nd i’ve been writing this for a while (crazy since it’s rly short) but i don’t like it much… anyways whoevers alive in the dbh fandom have this!
Tumblr media
“Detective.”
There’s just something about the way Connor speaks. The cadence, the pitch, the enunciation of each word. It’s painfully evident that he isn’t human. Everything about him is so machine-like that even his perfect, human-like exterior could not fool anyone. However it is something you got used to. Hearing the android speak your name and call you ‘Detective’ back a while ago felt somewhat unsettling. Now it’s so easy to recognize that it almost makes you feel at ease.
“Do you seriously think I’m an android? I don’t wanna deal with those fucking machines, either. I’d be glad if you put a bullet through them rather than me.”
Turns out hearing him fake being a human is ten times more terrifying than his android speech patterns could ever hope to be.
This was not part of the plan.
You were sent with a unit to patrol around the streets for any android who still hadn’t been brought back or destroyed. You weren’t a fan of this whole assignment, but felt better than the rookies who were sent out to shoot humanoid robots as their first field mission probably did.
It would be fine, is what you told yourself, because you didn’t feel anything towards Cyberlife’s creations enough to be completely uncomfortable with the idea of their blue blood on your hands, though it wasn’t ideal. You could manage. Until the first person you came across happened to be the one android you genuinely cared about.
“I don’t think he’s one of them…” one of your fellow officers murmurs next to you. You suddenly become very aware of the gun he, too, is holding and pointing towards the target. Fuck. As if the situation wasn’t bad enough.
At least this idiot’s performance seems to be fooling them.
You wait one second, then sigh on the second, and finally lower your gun on the third. “You shouldn’t be here.” you say casually, prompting your colleagues to relax and the atmosphere to lighten a little. Your heart is in your throat, however. “We’ve got orders to round up every android we see around here. You should go home. This isn’t exactly safe.”
“I know, I know.” he sighs, rolling his eyes a little, “I was gonna leave anyways, thanks.”
Your coworkers mumble to themselves about how disagreeable this guy’s attitude is and it’s enough for them to miss the wink the latter sends your way as he leaves. You almost regret not shooting a bullet through his head.
Still, you sigh in relief, setting your gun back at your side and running a hand over your face. You don’t think you can continue patrolling in peace. There’s one too many questions in your mind and the key to answering them is escaping from your grasp.
You take the phone in your pocket and pretend to get a call, moving it to your ear and looking at the members of your team. “I’ll join up with you later.” you say, gesturing towards your phone. They nod and walk away, and you do the same, feeling more relieved than ever that these people see you as a leader of sorts. They won’t question you on anything. You hurry towards the direction your so-called partner left to the moment they’re out of sight.
A rooftop door, stairs, and more stairs. You’re jogging down like you’re chasing a criminal on the run. You’re down to the fifth floor out of eight when someone grabs your arm and pulls you out a door.
“Wha—” you try to yell, but a cold hand settle over your mouth. Your body relaxes but your expression tenses. Connor. “Let me go,” you mumble incoherently, surprisingly succeeding in getting him to let you step away.
You sigh and shake your head, turning around abruptly. His ‘human costume’ (which really just was a grey suit jacket thrown over what should’ve been his Cyberlife uniform, glasses, and a cap to hide his LED) is already gone, replaced by his usual attire, just missing his jacket.
“What the hell was that about?” you ask, annoyed, pointing towards the staircase (back there, on the roof) and the android simply shrugs. “Connor.”
“I was undercover, Detective. I thought someone as smart as you would recognize that much.” he says, his tone back to normal. You’d feel relieved if he wasn’t being so irritating. “Was I wrong?”
Your face drops. “No. I figured as much. But what for?” you sigh, crossing your arms.
“Same mission as always.”
“Who are you chasing? Did you find the place?”
“I have no reason to tell you.”
It only clicks then that while you know about Connor continuing his mission after being laid off the case, you’re not part of it anymore. He had to be sent back to Cyberlife, and you should’ve been forgetting about him entirely. You’re still DPD, and you have orders to shoot Androids on sight— Which you clearly aren’t following. He’s right. He has no reason to tell you.
Still.
You grab his arm when he threatens to walk away. You’re not sure what you want to say, but you’re not done talking. He lets you. “Connor.”
“Detective.” he says. You straighten your back and sigh, not breaking eye contact. He tilts his head to the side and his LED flashes yellow for an instant. “You’re angry.”
Of course you’re angry. He’s infuriating. There’s something about how logical and dead-set on following every single rule he is that makes Connor the most annoying individual you’ve ever talked to. Everything he does has to be for his mission. Every single thing.
“Do threats work with you?” you ask blankly, “If you don’t tell me where it is, I’ll get Cyberlife to bring you back, and all that?”
When he takes a step closer to you again, forcing your back to press against the wall, and his LED does not even threaten to change hues, you’re taken aback. Just a bit. It’s the same kind of frustrated attitude you would’ve expected from a human after saying what you just did. But not Connor.
He doesn’t seem frustrated, though. And you know he can look annoyed. He just doesn’t. So he must not be. And you want to find what it is he’s doing exactly, stepping closer to you without even saying a word, but your brain feels like it’s short-circuiting at the distance between you two. You know he does everything for his work. Does he think you have new information on deviants? Does he really believe you would call Cyberlife on him? Is he using his stupid interrogation module on you? Whatever it is makes you even more annoyed.
The silence feels heavy. It makes things worse. It gives your brain time to process how this is making you feel and it’s no good at all. “What?” you break the silence, tone somewhat irritated.
“I’m trying to understand the reason why you’re so angry at me.” he explains simply, like it makes sense. His eyes narrow a bit and the LED at the side of his head flickers yellow for a moment. “And no, Detective. Threats don’t work on me. Not when I can tell you’re lying so easily.” he adds, quieter.
“Shut up.” you scoff.
“I dont think I will.”
“Connor.”
“— However,” he interrupts, “I can step away from you at any moment if you tell me to.”
“No.”
“No?”
What— No?! You register the word after saying it and sigh, face contorting into a somewhat pained expression. You panicked and said it, your mind processing his offer as him leaving you again— With no information and nothing to ease your stupid worries. Now it just sounds odd.
Is that embarrassment?
“You didn’t finish what you were trying to do, did you? You haven’t told me why I’m angry yet. Since you apparently care so much.” you say, tone sounding much softer than before. Your apparent discomposure took away all the bitterness from your voice. Interesting.
Truth be told, Connor knows why you’re angry. He’s not letting you in on the details of what he’s doing despite the time you spent working as partners a very short while ago. He’s spent enough time with people, and you especially, to know that after forming some kind of bond with a work partner, it would be frustrating not to receive information about their mission the way you used to from them—
Especially considering he was still chasing after something you both knew about. Jericho. But he cannot tell you about that. Not… Right now.
What he really was trying to do was evaluate how much of a threat you really could be to his investigation. He didn’t sense any hostility before and he doesn’t now, and you could’ve shot him but you didn’t. But it’s not enough. He needs more time— More evidence that it’s fine. That’s why he pulled you here in the first place. That’s why he pressured you to talk.
He needs to make sure killing you isn’t necessary.
“Because I posed a threat to the stability of your current mission earlier. You wouldn’t have been able to shoot me had I been discovered, and your reaction to your colleagues shooting me would’ve jeopardized your job itself.” he answers.
This reasoning would make sense.
“That’s not it.” you sigh.
Your heartbeat is slowing down. No good. Connor leans his arm on the wall next to you and moves closer. Your heartbeat picks up in speed. It’s almost alarming. He can tell all the details about your physical condition and deduce what you’re thinking or feeling based off of them, sure. But he’s no human. The way he views and comprehends emotions is registered in his system in a much more clear and logic-based way than it is in humans’ brains.
So maybe he won’t ever know why your heart beats so heavily against your ribcage. So he just has to pressure the right places and demand answers. He unfortunately can’t allow you to relax. He won’t get anything out of you if you’re calm. You’re much too turbulent for that.
Or maybe he’ll just have to ask. In a normal way.
“Detective, what’s wrong with you?”
“What’s wrong with me?” you scoff, eyes widening. Wrong question.
You seem like you want to be angry but something is holding you back from displaying just how much he gets on your nerves. You sigh deeply and look at him, “What’s wrong with you? You’re acting so weird. More than usual. Why’d you pull me here if you didn’t want to tell me anything? And I’m worried. What if you really did get shot? Wasn’t Cyberlife supposed to deactivate you? They wouldn’t have brought in another Connor this time. You’re off the case, you— You would’ve died!”
“Maybe.”
There’s circles under your eyes. There always are, but they’re more defined now than they were the last time he saw you. Now that you’re actually being honest, your whole voice and mannerisms betray any of your usual annoyed and dismissive facade. He didn’t think you cared this much, though he understands that some humans are quick to empathize. To a fault.
Now it’s clear he doesn’t need to eliminate you at all. Part of him seems to have grown fond of your company. He couldn’t risk that getting in the way of his better judgment.
“I only pulled you here so you wouldn’t pointlessly chase down the streets searching for me, since I made sure no one would follow.” he says, stepping back and giving you more space, “You’re a police officer. It doesn’t matter what you say you’ll keep to yourself or not. I can’t compromise. This is too important.”
You’re hurt, it’s visible. He’s saying he can’t risk trusting you. He figures that must not feel nice.
The sound of the radio attached to your side breaks this prolonged silence with the promise of separation. You take it, eyes not leaving Connor’s, and listen to your colleague speak. You tell them you’ll be right there. You’re not one to be late. He knows you’ll really leave this time— Too far away for him to hope to talk to you again, if anything goes awry.
You turn the radio off and put it back where it was. “Hope you succeed, then.” you say, bitter, and push yourself up to start walking away.
“Take care of yourself, Detective.” Connor says. Asks. The words come out before he can really think. Something about your voice and this whole atmosphere made him… Feel uneasy. Like he needed to say something. If this is how your partnership ends, he doesn’t believe it should be on such a sour note. He cares doesn’t dislike you at all, so why should it?
You stagger a little, seemingly stopping in your tracks, but moving again no more than a second later. “You too, Connor.”
Somehow, goodbyes had never seemed so sad.

Y/N’s pov:
I was awoken from my sleep, by my annoying alarm, as i rolled onto my other side, reaching out my arm and lazily turning it off, letting out a groan of frustration. Another day of work was waiting for me and i was already not having it. So much shit has been going on lately and it seems like everyone is expecting way too much from me.
I’m surprised Hank is pretty understanding when it comes to my situation, usually he’s a big jerk but we built a good and steady friendship, which lead us to being great work buddies if i’m being honest. He can still be a pain in the ass sometimes.
I sat up on my bed, my mind wandering off to think of one special person. Well, he’s not a person, Connor is more likely a machine, one of the androids to be exact. He has been assigned to work with Hank but they don’t get along very well, i’m full of hope it’ll change any time soon though.
I felt a smile forming to my face, just thinking about him. Connor is probably one of the main reasons i still enjoy work, don’t get me wrong i actually learned to like my job, he just makes it a lot better. I couldn’t help but feel interested in him, he’s not just good looking but i started a liking in his personality too.
I reached a different type of motivation for this day and decided to get ready and have some breakfast. I didn’t notice how fast time was moving forward, so that’s when i rushed out of the house and grabbed some coffee on the way to my working place.
Arriving at the police department central station, i got out of my car, reaching the entrance. I walked in and took a sip of my still warm drink. I greeted my coworkers as friendly as i could be and finally took my seat across from Hank.
“Morning Y/N”, he spoke, gazing up at me from his computer. “Good morning Hank.”, i replied in a somewhat really nice tone, noticing he wasn’t in such a bad mood today. Kind of suspicious if you ask me.
“Oh good morning Y/N. It’s nice to see you again.”, i heard a familiar voice saying, seeing Connor back at Hanks side. “Good morning to you too Connor. It looks like you’re being positive, huh?”, i said, my eyes never leaving him. I’m not quite sure but i could bet i just heard Hank letting out a scoff.
“If Lieutenant Anderson hasn’t told you yet, we got some news for one of the deviants, it seems like he has been spottet somewhere and we’re about to investigate the location. I did a good job myself.”, Connor explained and earned an unamused glance from Hank, who wasn’t too happy about Connor’s own praise.
“Well, sounds great! You guys should inspect and move forward then. I probably got lots of work to finish here.”, i said, expressing the last sentence in a bored tone. “Actually, we want you to come with us on the mission today.”, Connor replied, trying to hide the fact, that his lips formed into a small smile.
“Yea. More like you. It was your idea Connor.”, Hank stated, letting out a huff. He was obviously exposing him there. “What? Uh, maybe i just don’t mind some help.”, he defended himself, blocking off any accusations, even though his face was slightly flushed. Androids could in fact blush, they’re designed so much like humans, it’s crazy.
And I myself couldn’t help but grin at the situation in front of me. “It’s alright guys, i’m glad to come with you. I rather be out from this place anyways.”, i stood up, waiting for them both to return the act, so we could go.
____________________________________________
On the ride to the spot, it was mostly quiet. Connor was the only one who began to talk a lot, explaining everything about the deviant he found out and it was honestly interesting, but i could see from the passenger seat that Hank was annoyed by hearing all of this again.
it didn’t take too long though and Hank finally parked the car. I took a look out of the window, seeing an old house, the color was already coming off and it seems like the people living there didn’t care much about it.
After my small inspection, i opened the door and stepped out of the vehicle. Hank was on his way to the front porch, as i heard another door close behind me. I turned my head, to find Connor right next to me. Was he waiting for me the whole time or why was he still sitting in there?
“The deviant is supposed to hide here. I just know an old couple is living there.”, he spoke up still looking forward, his gaze fixed on the house, before he decided to lock eyes with me. I almost forgot how beautiful they looked.
“Well, makes sense then, that no one took care of it.”, i responded, quickly turning my attention back to Hank, where i was about to walk off to anyway, but i was stopped when i felt a hand gently wrapped around my underarm. “I should mention, Y/N. You look very pretty today.”, Connor nervously smiled at me. I wasn’t even able to respond, cause he was gone in a second.
I don’t think i would’ve ever expected this. He couldn’t even keep the eye contact, was he that nervous? Little did i know, he was practicing how he was going to confront me about it the whole car ride. I like this side of him though.
I was so stuck in my mind, i didn’t even notice anything around me, till- “Y/N! Are you coming now!”, Hank screamed me out of my thoughts. I furrowed my eyebrows at him, realizing they’re both waiting for me. I jogged up to them, my eyes landing on Connor who was grinning from ear to ear.
“You need to-“, “Pay attention, yea yea. I literally just zoned out for a second, it’s not that deep Hank.”, i interrupted his sentence, cause i already knew what he was going to try to lecture me about again. He only sighed at me in response, as i slid past him to enter the house.
“And now? Where is everyone?”, i asked in confusion, us three standing in a completely empty, old fashioned furnished house. “Yea, if you would’ve paid attention earlier, you would’ve known by now.”, Hank responded in his usual sassy voice. “Oh come on Hank, just inform me, instead of going on with ur childish games”
“Nobody responded to our knocks, Y/N. They didn’t open the door, so Hank kicked it in.”, Connor replied instead, a soft expression on his face. I gave Hank a weirded out look, as he shrugged his shoulders. Who cares if he was even allowed to do any of this, i just quickly wanna get this over with.
“Okay, you know what? I will search everything down here. You two, go upstairs.”, Hank commands, already walking away from this scene. I spun around, taking a look at Connor, who watched Hank closely with narrowed eyes.
“Let’s get going, Connor.”, i said, preceding to get up the staircase. He followed shortly behind, as his voice could be heard really close to me. “Hank is pretty hotheaded. He’s somehow always mad at everyone.”, “He got a very short tempter. It’s like he’s always mad at the world.”, i replied.
Connor nodded his head, before i decided to enter one of the rooms. My hand had a tight grip on my gun, that my belt was holding, but it wasn’t needed, the room was just as empty as the rest of the house.
Connor scanned the entire room as he suddenly crouched down, reaching out his arm. I watched as his fingers touched the blue liquid on the floor as he took a taste of it. I’m used to him doing this but i still scrunch up my face every time. “The androids blood is still fresh, he must’ve been here just a few minutes ago.”, he said.
My eyes were wide, interested in what he had to say. “And maybe he saw the cop car and us approaching the house. He probably fled cause he was too afraid to face the situation.”, Connor added to it as i crossed my arms in front of my chest.
“Well, wouldn’t you do the same.”, i said with a slight smirk on my face, to which he was taken back. A nervous expression was painted all over his face once again, making my smile just grow wider. “I guess you’re right, Y/N.”, he replied, in a soft voice.
He had such a warm and welcoming look on his face as his eyes were fixed on me. You could say i was melting right on spot, trying not to show it too much. I could see his led on his face turning yellow for a moment, meaning he was just scanning me.
He quickly looked away though, now staring at the ground, which gave me the opportunity to silently watch him. He hasn’t said anything about what he has found out. Was I showing signs of anxiety? Most definitely.
“What’s wrong Connor? Are you nervous?”, i boldly asked, making him raise his head. “Nervous? Oh i was just-“, “You don’t have to lie to me, Connor.”, i chuckled, taking a step closer to him.
His cheeks were flushed and i could swear my heart was racing at this point. I’ve never had a guy being this cute, i also never had something going on with an android, nor have i ever felt anything for one. But with Connor it’s different.
And i wasn’t the only one who was all up in my mind, Connor seemed like his thoughts were overflowing. I may regret this forever now or my future me will be thankful i did this, when i decided to reach for his hand. My fingertips touched his skin as i grabbed his soft hand, my thumb slowly moving over the back of it.
His face was only turning into a deeper red tone and i wasn’t even able to read it. His eyes turned even softer if that’s possible and they were staring right into mine. My knees felt weak, but at least they could still hold my weight, right?
Connor on the other hand looked like he didn’t know what to do at all. I was in charge of the situation, which i myself couldn’t believe with a man like him. But it’s not like i didn’t enjoy any of this. Instead i moved closer to his body, till i could feel his breath, till our lips were only a few inches apart.
Soon to be, there was no space between us left anymore. Our lips finally touched and i was taken by surprise of how good his lips felt on mine. Connor’s lips moved smoothly against my own, my hand moving to the back of his head. I gently took a hold of his wrist, guiding his hand to my waist, placing it right there.
I didn’t know that androids could have such soft lips, due to my lack of experience with them. Connor probably hasn’t had any of them yet, but he’s even cuter this way. I never would’ve thought, that i would make the first move.
The kiss lasted for a good while, but someone just had to ruin it. “Hey guys, have you found-“, Hank rushed into the room, cutting off his own sentence when he saw the scene in front of him. We broke apart real fast as i spun my head around, facing the disappointed Hank.
“Hank we can explain-“, Connor tried to talk, but was now the one to be cut off. “Really?”, Hank said all bored, shaking his head. I could hear out the sarcasm though, he wasn’t mad at us for doing this. “And i thought this would never happen.”, he continued. Right, he was just mad it didn’t happen any sooner.

Unexpected Tension
Tumblr media
Connor DBH x fem!Reader
Summary: Gavin teases Connor once again but this time you stood up for him
Warnings: mature language
WC: 973
The bustling atmosphere of the Detroit Police Department filled the air as you made your way through the precinct. As a detective working closely with Connor and Hank, you were no stranger to the occasional banter and friendly jabs exchanged among the officers. However, today seemed to be different, and Gavin Reed was at the center of it all.
You walked into the station, noticing a group gathered near the coffee machine. Hank stood among them, his arms crossed, and a smirk played on his lips. Connor, ever the picture of stoic professionalism, was enduring Gavin's typical snarky remarks about his personal life.
Gavin's voice carried across the room, "Come on, Connor, admit it. You've never had a good time in bed. Just look at you, all stiff and robotic. I bet you've never even been laid!"
You watched as Connor's LED flickered yellow momentarily, an indication of slight discomfort. His face remained impassive, but you could sense the tension building within him. You couldn't stand by and let Gavin's taunts go unchallenged.
With a confident stride, you approached the group, your presence commanding attention. Your reputation as the femme fatale of the station was well-known, and you were more than willing to use it to your advantage in this situation.
"Is there a problem here, gentlemen?" you asked, your voice laced with a hint of mischief.
Gavin's eyes widened as he turned his attention towards you. "Well, well, if it isn't our very own vixen detective. What brings you here?"
You locked eyes with him, a smirk playing on your lips. "Just couldn't resist the chance to defend Connor's honor, Gavin. You know how rumors spread around here. And let me tell you, I happen to know firsthand that he's quite the impressive lover."
The room fell into an instant hush. Hank's eyebrows shot up, a mix of surprise and amusement evident on his face. Connor's LED turned a deep blue, betraying his astonishment. You had his complete attention, and you could see a flicker of something in his eyes, a hint of curiosity and perhaps even appreciation.
Gavin's face contorted into an expression of disbelief and jealousy. "You're full of shit. There's no way you and Connor have ever..."
"Oh, Gavin, dear," you interrupted, leaning in closer, your voice dripping with mock seduction. "Let's just say I've had the pleasure of experiencing Connor's unique... talents, and it was absolutely incredible."
Connor's LED turned a vivid shade of red as his programming attempted to process the unexpected turn of events. He glanced at you, searching for any sign of deception, but your poker face remained intact.
Gavin's jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing. He knew you were teasing, but the seed of doubt had been planted, and it was driving him mad. His competitive nature wouldn't let him back down so easily.
"Oh, really?" Gavin sneered. "Prove it."
A mischievous smile curled on your lips as you took a step back, crossing your arms. "Oh, I would love to, Gavin, but that would be unprofessional. You'll just have to take my word for it."
The room erupted into laughter, the tension diffusing as everyone realized the absurdity of the situation. Even Connor managed a small smile, a trace of warmth in his eyes.
Gavin huffed, his pride wounded. "Whatever. Just keep your wild fantasies to yourself. We've got work to do."
With that, Gavin stormed off, leaving you, Connor, and Hank in a cloud of lingering amusement. Hank chuckled, clapping a hand on Connor's shoulder.
"Well, Connor, looks like you've got yourself a reputation," Hank teased, a twinkle in his eye.
Connor's cheeks tinted with a touch of color, but he met your gaze, a glimmer of gratitude in his eyes. "Thank you, agent. I appreciate you standing up for me, even if it was... unconventional."
You winked at him, your playful demeanor still intact. "Consider it a small payback for all the times you've saved my ass in the field, Connor. Besides, it's always fun to see Gavin squirm."
As the laughter and banter filled the room once more, you couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie between you and Connor. Perhaps this unexpected turn of events would bring you closer, and who knows what other adventures awaited you in the future.
A few days later, you found yourself alone with Connor in the break room during lunchtime. The air was thick with anticipation as you caught his gaze, your voice dropping to a low, suggestive tone.
"So, Connor," you began, your tone teasing, "about that little fib I told Gavin…"
Connor's eyes widened slightly, his cheeks flushing a soft shade of blue. "You want to… make it come true?"
A mischievous grin played on your lips as you stepped closer, the atmosphere charged with unspoken desire. "If you're up for it."
Without hesitation, Connor closed the distance between you, his lips meeting yours in a hungry, passionate kiss. In that moment, the boundary between fiction and reality blurred as the electric connection between you intensified.
The days that followed were filled with stolen moments and secret rendezvous, where you and Connor explored the depths of your desires. The lie that had ignited it all had transformed into something real and intoxicating, a connection that went far beyond anything either of you had anticipated.
As for Detective Gavin Reed, he remained oblivious to the truth, his jealousy fueling his determination to prove himself. But in the end, it didn't matter. The bond you shared with Connor was a flame that burned brightly, casting aside the doubts and insecurities that once lingered.
Together, you and Connor forged a path of passion and companionship, navigating the intricacies of human emotions and discovering the true meaning of love in a world that was still learning to accept the androids who sought to understand it.

Falling Stars - chapter two
Meeting Connor
Connor (dbh) x gn!reader
Part two of my slow burn series!
Summary - reader meets Connor for the first time, they couldn't be falling so quickly and easily could they?
Don't talk to me about how long this took,, please I beg you
Word count - 1088
Tumblr media
When you awoke the next morning, the house was quiet. It was just as you had always remembered the lieutenants house, down to the curtains that never seemed to close properly.
You inhaled through your nose, the smell of fresh coffee assaulted your senses and you sat up. For a moment, you stared at the wall opposite you before stretching, a yawn escaping your lips.
You threw the blanket from over you and swung your legs around, putting your feet on the cold floor as you stood up.
A chill rushed through you as you stood away from the warm bed and you frowned. There was no chance of you getting warm and comfortable in the same way again so you decided to throw a jumper before opening your bedroom door.
Upon opening the door, you were shocked to hear two voices bouncing down the hallway from the kitchen.
One was Hank, as expected, his voice was low and quiet as he spoke. He was most probably trying to stay quiet as to not disturb you, the same way he would when your father would eventually collect you only this tike he wasn't scolding the man he was talking to.
The other voice was a man also, his voice was smooth and calculated as he spoke to Hank. He sounded young, about your age maybe older although you couldn't really tell.
As you stepped into the kitchen, you noticed both men were sat at the table. Hank was facing you as you stood behind the stranger, curious as to who he was.
"Morning kiddo," Hank nodded towards you.
The man turned around, looking up at you over his shoulder. It was the man- android from the police station yesterday.
"Mornin' Hank" You paused. "You're the android that saved that child a whole back aren't you?" You asked, looking down at him.
"Yes, my name is Connor, I'm the android sent by cyberlife." He smiled up at you.
"Well, good morning Connor," you smiled back at him, holding eye contact.
He seemed so real, so alive and yet he was a machine. You wondered if he'd ever go deviant as you looked at him, he seemed so put together and perfect.
"Tin can here is my new partner. Anyway, did you sleep okay?" Hank interrupted.
"Yeah, I slept well," you nodded, taking a seat at the table.
"So, [name], Hank told me that he's known you for a while, and that you came back to Detroit last night. I remember seeing you in the police station last night while you were looking for him." Connor commented.
You weren't sure what he was trying to say, if he was trying to start a conversation it certainly wasn't the most smooth way.
"Yeah, I noticed you too," you half shrugged as you looked at him.
Hank pushed a plate of food in your direction, quietly watching the conversation crash and burn.
--Connors pov--from when you enter--
"Lieutenant, we have work to do," he ushered, wanting Hank to hurry up.
"I'm waiting for someone." Hank frowned.
The conversation dipped for a moment as the kitchen became quiet. Connor noticed the sound of light footsteps behind him.
"Morning kiddo," Hank nodded to someone behind Connor.
Connor twisted his body so that he could look over his shoulder at the person behind him. It was the same person who had been looking for Hank last night.
He stared up at them, somewhat in awe of how beautiful they looked. He wondered how a person could be so handsome until he realised they were talking to him about one of his first missions.
He continued the conversation, knowing it wasn't a particularly good one as he was distracted by the somewhat constant warning that appeared in his vision.
Tumblr media
Soon, it all became too much for Connor and he pulled out his calibration coin from his pocket. He effortlessly passed and flipped it between his hands, eyes closed as he did so.
--your pov--
You watched as the android became quiet, his eyes closed as he flicked a coin around in his hands. You looked to Hank, puzzled over the sudden change in the android who had just a moment ago been struggling to hold a conversation.
He seemed completely in his own world, you smiled at his innocent demeanour. He now seemed so at peace.
From the corner of your eye, you noticed Hank shaking his head gently. You assumed that Connor had done this a lot so far while working with Hank and decided to rather than focusing on his actions, eat the breakfast Hank had made.
It was your favourite breakfast, you'd always eat it with Hank and Cole before the accident. You hadn't had it in so long, you turned to Hank and smiled wide at him.
The older man responded to your wide smile by leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. He seemed so relaxed and happy, nothing like the man your parents had described to you.
After a short while, Hank stood up and excused himself to the bathroom so that he could get ready for work.
This caused Connor to bring himself back into the real world, opening his eyes as Hank left the room.
He looked you over, his eyes lingering on your face causing you face to flush slightly, your cheeks turning pink.
You had to admit, he was handsome for an android. He seemed more human than the other androids you had met, more advanced.
"Connor, what model are you?" You asked.
"I am an Rk800, a prototype designed to assist in the rising deviant cases,"
A prototype.
"So there's no one else like you?"
"Correct,"
"You're one of a kind Connor," you chuckled at the cliche.
"You're one in a million," he replied smoothly, his voice like honey as he spoke.
Your heart thumped in your chest as you looked at him. The eye contact caused your face to grow warmer and you to fidget in your seat.
Sumo ran up to the two of you, pulling both of your attention away from the situation. You put your hands out to pet and play with the dog.
"Aweeehh, who's my good boy?" You cooed to Sumo.
"Careful Connor, you may have competitionfor favourite," Hank smirked from the entrance to the kitchen, clean and ready for work.
"I like dogs too, [name]" the android smiled, rubbing Sumo between his ears.
"We should take Sumo on a walk together at some point,"

A Talk is Sometimes All You Need
Tumblr media
Man, never wrote a Dbh fic on tumblr before. Honestly, out of all the fandoms I've been in on this platform I'm surprised that I haven't well here we are.
Summary: Connor is still getting used to his deviancy, with deviancy comes emotions, with emotions comes pain.
Warnings: Depression, swearing
Pairing: Connor x Fem Reader
Connor was staring at his hands absentmindedly, memories from when he was a machine coming back. His breath was shallow, the world around him felt like it was crumbling. He felt a hand on his shoulder, jumping him out of his trance.
He turned his attention from his hands to Y/n, Y/n had been there for him since the beginning. After going to the DPD as a machine to investigate the deviant case she paired with himself and Hank. She was the only person in the beginning that was sweet to him, Hank didn't hug him until he was deviant.
"Connor, is everything all right?" she asked, her voice soft causing his heart to clench.
"I don't know what I'm feeling," he said. She sat down next to him on the couch,
Describe it."
"I feel alone, when I'm not. I feel as if I'm the only person in the world that has problems. Selfish, I know," tears started to form in the corners of his eyes. She didn't speak, placing her hand on his waiting for him to continue. "I feel tired, even though I can't physically be tired. Some days, I don't want to get out of bed. Some days, I think...wouldn't everyone around me be better off if I was gone?"
Y/n's eyes widened as she swallowed thickly, her hands started to tremble. Connor took immediate notice, his frown deepened as he stared down at her hands on his'. "I apologize if I make you upset, I don't mean to. I understand if you want me to leave," he was about to get up when her hands tightened around his. Her knuckles turning white, "Y/n?"
"Connor," her voice cracked. "Please, talk to me. Don't run away," she didn't mean to cry. She felt stupid, how could she cry at a time like this? Connor needed her and all she did was break down in his hands,
"I think you call it depression, however, there is nothing we can do. I'm not human," he continued. "Sometimes, I believe it would've been better if I were human."
"No," Y/n's voice turned firm. He looked up at her, "No, Connor. Don't say that I like you just the way you are, human or android. Neither would be better than the other."
"I'm not accepted into either, so, I think being human would be more beneficial for me."
"Connor, look at me," his shoulders tensed as her voice became hard. "Humans are so insignificant compared to androids, androids are smarter, faster, better than us. People don't like to acknowledge that but it's true. We age and die, are bodies are so fragile to the point where an injury could hurt us for the rest of our lives. For androids, you just get the part replaced and not have any further complications."
"Y/n," he started. "You know how androids think of me."
"I don't give a shit about what other androids think!" her voice softened, "Connor, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me...to hank. Without you, I don't think would've recovered, without you, I think I would still felt alone. You helped us, now it's time for us to help you. Those androids don't know shit about you, they're only judging because of your past. You were just a machine executing a program, now, you're you. That sassy Connor that pisses Gavin off, that hilarious Connor that makes me laugh on my worse days."
He stared at her, his eyes widening. He scanned her, her heart had been accelerating since she mentioned herself. "Y/n, your heart is pounding."
"I know."
"Is it something I did?"
"Absolutely not, it's me."
"What is it, are you sick?"
"No, no, I'm fine." he noticed that her cheeks were heating up, he absentmindedly placed his hand against her cheek, it was very warm against his palm. "Connor, we're going to help you. I promise," she reassured. He shifted leaning closer,
"Thank you, Y/n, for calming me down."
"I think you had a panic attack," she explained. Connor nodded in agreement. It wasn't the first time he's had one, her and/or Hank were always ready to help him when he needed it.
"Can I try something?"
"Try what?"
"I notice that when I'm close to you...your heart accelerates, am I wrong?" she bit the inside of her cheek not responding, "If you will allow me to...I would very much like to kiss you." All she did was nod as his lips pressed against hers, it was soft, he held her as if she could break at any moment. Pulling away, Y/n let out a sigh against his lips, "I'm sorry if I was stepping over any boundaries."
"Not at all," she smiled. "I wouldn't mind if you did it again, actually." He let out a soft chuckle before pressing his lips against hers once again.

Happiness is Fleating (Part One)
A/N: Long time, no see! I am so sorry for disappearing. Completely lost motivation to do much of anything creatively. And got sick, again. I'm okay now though, just some chronic illness stuff but I'm going to try and bounce back, hopefully with some more original works and maybe fics of heartstopper, dbh and stranger things. As well as anything in my drafts lol.
I've never seen a crossover with Doctor Who and Detroit: Become Human, anywhere. I know this is definitely a very specific niche and I hope those of you who enjoy my writing will enjoy it! It should be at least a two-parter, this just being the start of it. As always, I'm figuring out the plot as I go, anywho, I hope you all enjoy it! And again, gif choice has very little to do with plot lol.
Summary: Reader is devastated after the death of Connor during the fight for android rights, in denial, they use the Tardis to go back in time the day before he died, but The Tardis has other plans.
Theme: a lot of angst, sorry
Setting: a world where equal rights exist except for intelligent ai, also in the dbh universe where the doctor who universe merges.
Pairings: Tenth Doctor x Gn!Reader, Father!Hank x Son!Connor, Reader x Connor
Fandom: Detroit: Become Human, Doctor Who
Warnings: swearing, character death, grief, alcohol
Words: 2,391
<-Previous || Next-> (To be Continued)
----
"Hey, hey, stay. Please, stay." I practically whisper to Connor. I've held him in my arms for who knows how long, awaiting the doctor as he finishes off some Cybermen. He told me to stay here and keep Connor awake until Ten could come help. It's been so long and I don't think he's going to last any longer. The blue blood seeping from the gash on his side, looking at it makes me feel so hopeless and fearful that this is it. "Please stay, I can't lose you, Connor."
"Do me a favor, travel with the Doctor, and live your life. Please don't fret over me, I'll be okay." A soft smile creeps upon his features, his free hand, the one not holding onto his wound, reaches up to brush against my cheek. I hold his hand there with mine, the waterfall of tears threatening to fall.
"What about Hank? He needs you, Connor, you need him." I turn my head to place a gentle kiss on the palm of his hand. It's cold, his heaters have failed already.
"He'll be okay," Smiling again as he pauses, his blinking begins to slow. He continues, practically reading my mind, answering the questions yet to make it from my throat. "You'll be okay too. The Doctor will take care of you."
"You'll be okay." He mutters, throwing me one last smile before his systems shut down, everything slowing and turning off. And he's gone. He's already gone.
I hold him closer to me, rocking back and forth as I'm riddled with debilitating sobs. I move his hair out of his face, tangling my fingers in his locks, leaning my forehead down to touch his. Tears finally escaping from the confines of my eyes, dripping onto his cold--dead features. I couldn't save him. I couldn't save him and now he's gone.
I stay there, the lifeless Android held tightly in my arms. I lose track of time, letting it flow past me and letting grief evelope my being. Rocking him, whispering what good he could have done, muttering sorries while holding back sobs. Apologizing for failing him and letting him die.
Voices call out my name, muddled by the pain-stricken in my heart, a pair of hands gently pulls me away and up to stand. I close my eyes, ignoring the others around me. When I look back, I see someone take away Connor, carrying him away to whoever the hell knows. I scream, trying to run after him, to take him in my arms and somehow bring him back. I'm restrained as I struggle against their grip, screaming bloody murder. They've taken him, he's gone, he's really gone.
-----
"Y/N, you know you can't bring him back. He's gone." Ten tries to reason with me, he's been trying for the past few hours. But I could care less. I have a fucking time machine at my whim and I'm going to use it.
"Yes, I can. Him dying wasn't supposed to happen and you know that." I snap at him, running around the console, flipping switches, turning a couple knobs, and pressing a few buttons in the process.
"You could create a paradox! Not even remembering you saved him!" He counters, trying to pull me away from the console, I wiggle from his grip, jumping to push the final lever. It bangs, the Tardis whirring to life.
"I don't give a shit about paradoxes, he needs to be alive." I stare blankly at him, gripping onto the console, readying for the usual turbulence.
"Fine, you do this. But if you fuck up, don't come crying to me." His lips form a straight line, as he stares daggers at me, if looks could kill, I'd be six feet in the ground.
I roll my eyes, "I don't fuck up." Pursing my lips, I play with my next remark, weighing the consequences. "Unlike you."
He lets out a small sound, only to be described as a growl. Wow, mature. He steps back, anger painted on his features as the Tardis comes to a stop. I step back, turning on my heels and running out the TARDIS doors, yanking them open. I slam them shut, stepping out and onto the grass of the Earth before me.
"Y/N!" the Doctor practically growls as I hear him run after me, I walk farther away from the Tardis, looking for any sign of what day it is. I meant to come back the day before he died, to keep him far from the fight. So he wouldn't-- Nevermind.
The Doctor reaches me, his hand grasping my shoulder tightly, "Be careful."
"Sure." I hiss through clenched teeth, venom dripping from my voice. He cringes, regretting what he said before.
"I'm sorry." He apologizes, features softening.
I break from his grip, finding a digital newspaper laid on the bench not too far from where I stood. I grab a hold of it, then look beside me, noticing where I am. I'm stood in the park that looks over all of Detroit, I have no clue what park it is or in what relation to everything else it is. But I know what happened here. I look down at the newspaper tablet in hand, inspecting the date. when I find it, strategically placed in the top right corner, I throw it on the ground.
"Goddamn Tardis!" I yell, running my hands through my hair half hazardly, ready for another breakdown.
The Doctor must've followed me because when I turn to stalk towards the Tardis, he stands there, stopping me. "What is it?"
"Did you do it? Huh? Did you change the coordinates so you could get your fucking way?" I seethe, ready to stomp off, but he stops me. Looking at me with an innocently concerned gaze.
"Change the coordinates? No, I don't even know how to do that!" He yells back, turning on his heels to face away from me, ready to jump back into the TARDIS himself.
"Then what the hell happened?" I yell, chasing after him. He reaches the TARDIS, attempting to open the doors. Nothing, it doesn't budge. He tries to unlock it with his key, still nothing. Sonic, nothing. Brute force? Also nothing.
"She locked us out. She changed the coordinates. One of us must be needed here." He sighs, kicking the ground.
"Why the hell the day after he died?! That does nothing!" I throw my hands in the air, storming off. I head over to the railing that looks over the river. I shove my head into my hands. Tears threatening once again to fall. I hold them back, trying to keep my composure.
He stays silent, standing beside me at the railing. I raise my head to look over at the view, trying to come up with any reason as to why she brought us here. Why today of all days? I swear I set the exact date and time- Why would she do this, why would she change it?
"What do you think happens today?" Ten asks me, his hands having hold on the railing, keeping himself steady. I shrug, letting out a sigh of frustration, and anger-- everything that I could possibly be feeling at the moment. Hatred, sadness, grief- all of it.
"I don't know. I only know what was meant to be, what happened before. I- I never knew what happened today. If anything." He rests his hand on my upper back, trying his best to console me. Guess he's given up on anger.
"We need to find Hank." He tells me bluntly, in a tone that's expectant, expectant of me. But why?
"What good would he do? I'm sure he's furious with me." I let my gaze direct itself to him, my eyes meeting his. His expression is so soft, eyes glinting with something I can't even find the words to describe, his mouth formed in an understanding frown, eyebrows knitted as if I just told him everything I had bottled up. He looks as if he read my mind and my heart and knew all my thoughts and feelings with a single look. Breathe in.
"I don't know, but if he isn't the puzzle piece, he may lead us to what truly is." He holds my shoulders gently, his lips twitching up into a soft grin. Breathe out.
"Fine," Breathe in. "It's worth a shot I suppose." Breathe out. I go in for a hug, wrapping my arms tightly around him, "This doesn't mean I've forgiven you by the way. I'm still cross with you." As I say that, I press my face into his chest, hiding, hoping that if I hold onto him tight enough, I'll fade away and never feel again. Never exist again.
"Noted." He lets out a soft laugh, then pats my back as I step out of his grasp.
"So Hank's place, should we start our search there or the bars?" I ask, my hand reaching out to him.
He takes my hand in his, "The bars."
----
"Five bars and we've come up with nothing! Zip! Zilch!" I groan in frustration, kicking the ground with my foot as I dig my hands deeper into my pockets.
"What about Jimmy's bar? That's where we first met him, maybe he's there." He suggests, his shoulders shrugging, hopelessness painted in the browns of his eyes.
"He could be home as well," I add, wrapping my arms around myself as I gaze around me. It's decently cold, and it feels like it may snow soon. The road we stand on is completely abandoned, with no sight of another person, Android, or even a car.
"He could be, but there's a higher chance we'll find him at Jimmy's. He did just lose..." Ten then stops himself when he sees my expression fall, furrowing his eyebrows and then taking a sharp breath. He looks away, "I'm sorry." His hands are stuffed in his pockets when he looks back at me. "I really am. I am so sorry."
"Jimmy's bar then." I change the subject, looking away from him down the long and winding road before us. Littered with protest signs and..Android parts? But we just won the revolution yesterday? Maybe it's old, yet to be picked up and taken care of. And how did I not notice this until now?
"Allons-y!" He puts on a goofy grin, trying to lighten my mood as he holds out his hand for me, wiggling his fingers. I take his hand in mine and he runs. Again.
We take a few corners down the sidewalk along closed down buildings, lights off, and closed signs out. This doesn't feel right. I haven't seen one building besides the bars in town that are open or at least look semi-taken care of. We take a right at an intersection, where a grocery outlet is sat on the corner, aka the only open building I can see. I look in and for a second I think I'm seeing things when I see a speckle of brown hair poking up, an Android jacket donning on the person in ownership of the brunette locks. I stop Ten, my hand gripped onto his jacket sleeve. I stand there for a moment, trying to get a good look at the serial number on the jacket. The Android moves closer to the door, down an aisle and I catch a closer glimpse -- RK...800? No, no, it can't be!
"Ten..." I whisper and he catches my gaze, as I point over to the Android with Connor's hair and jacket.
"It can't be.." He grabs my hand in a tight grasp, turning me around and away from the grocery outlet, making a run down the sidewalk. We turn another corner to the right and we find the Jimmy's bar sign just a block away. This time we speed walk, our fingers intertwined with one another, whether for comfort or for security.
"You think he's here?" I whisper, gazing into the window of the small and very worn-down bar.
"Like you said, it's worth a shot." He gives me a warm half-smile, shrugging his shoulders.
"I suppose," I give him the same smile before looking forward again and opening the door. We step inside one after the other, me first with him following--our hands still intertwined--as the bell rings indicating our presence. I look around the room, a lot of middle-aged men sat in the booths that line the wall, a few younger-looking blokes sat at the bar--except for one. Hank is sat in the middle of the bar, his gray hair pulled up. Since when did he pull up his hair?
"Hank!" I call to him, waving as I make my way to sit in the vacant barstool next to him. He turns to me, donning a warm smile.
"Oh! Y/N! And the Doctor! I thought you two left yesterday?" He exclaims, waving back. Ten then takes his spot next to me, his hand resting on my leg.
"We intended to, but we felt like it was too soon. I uh, wanted to check on you, Hank." I try to give a soft smile, but I end up failing, turning into a faded grin.
"Why'd you need to check on me? I'm fine!" He assures me, my gaze moving to the door behind him.
The bell on the door rings again and out of curiosity, I gaze over. My jaw drops a bit, and Ten must catch my dumbfounded expression when his head turns in the direction of the door as well.
"Is that...?" I whisper, my hand flying to hold his.
"Why is your face like that? You look like you saw a fuckin' ghost, Y/N." Hank chuckles, bringing his drink up to his lips and then downing it in one go. I cringe, the idea of drinking that grosses me the fuck out. Must hurt like hell too. I shake my head, gaze still locked on the new customer. Connor. Connor's alive? I swear he was.. That he was gone?
"Well, I think I did." I sigh, my breath shaking. Hank follows my gaze towards the door.
"Connor?" His voice wavers, mumbling nearly inaudible, but I manage to catch it, my free hand resting on his shoulder. "I.. I haven't seen him in two months."
"What?"

Hey, so quick question: Would anyone here be interested in an enemy to lovers? I have had this idea for a few days now, a plot and storyline, all in the back of my head, and I really need to write something. If anyone is interested, I will give you guys the synopsis. So let me know!
Bye!

I LOVED “Inside Your Wires” so freaking much. Stayed up until 6:30am reading it today (oof). You managed to create my EXACT niche for Android!Reader (“YN800” was absolutely brilliant) for DBH fics. The only part that sucks that you wrote the only one out there. I really wish there were more!
You wrote how an android might act perfectly and I’m just in love with the dynamic you made. I also loved how you switched androids to humans, and seeing Kara/Luther/Alice being a family was so cute. Or switching Amanda and Elijah. Very well executed.
My heart DROPPED into my ass when I read [KILL CONNOR] as the mission objective towards the end. That and when Connor shot reader point blank?? DAMN. Incredible tension and pacing throughout every chapter. The fluff was adorable (pancake scene) and the smut was A+
Will you ever write an Android!Reader/Human!Connor sequel? I really want to see more of this iteration of reader and Connor bc you wrote such an amazing dynamic and you’re so good at writing an android POV 🥺 Or perhaps one where both Connor and Reader are androids/half-android, presumably post-revolution?
Anyways even if you don’t end up writing more, you’re an amazing writer and I loved all the twists and turns. I’ll definitely be re-reading the fic in the future.
I agree there need to be more android!Reader fics, for sure!
I will not be writing a sequel from the Inside Your Wires universe, though I do have two spin-offs featuring Colin and Conrad. (The tumblr version is here)
I do plan to have another android!Reader fic, but this one will be with machine!Connor. And he's hunting down Reader, who is a deviant ;) I also had some human/android variations with Reader x RK900, but I'm not sure when I'll get to those since I don't have as much time and I've been focusing on other fandoms.
Thank you for such a sweet message, I really appreciate it and I appreciate you <3

Alice in Borderland note - I haven't read the manga and it might be a while until I do, so for now any and all Chishiya oneshots will be about his characterisation in the Netflix adaptation.
SCP Foundation note - Because of the lack of concrete canon personalities, if you request SCP's, please mention what sort of personality you'd want them to have. I have my own ideas of them, but they are very inaccurate to what I believe they would actually act like in the canon. If you don't mind my interpretation of them, you don't have to do this.

Polyamorous Pairings
Requests for PolyAm ships are currently closed.
Any of these can replace the Reader with a Child!Reader, making the remaining characters act as parents.
Gavin Reed x RK900 x Reader
Connor (RK800) x RK900 x Reader
Sun x Moon x Reader
Ghost x Soap x Reader
SCP-035 x SCP-049 x Reader
The Canon x Canon pairings can also be platonic ones. If it's not specified in the request, I will assume the relationship to be romantic.
———————————————
General Rules
All of this is for x Reader one shots and fanfics only. Unless it’s PolyAm, I won’t do Canon x Canon, or Canon x OC
You can request as many times as you would like, so don’t be afraid to. It might take me a while to get to writing it though, purely because my motivation fluctuates like crazy, now mixed with University.
When submitting a request, please specify the relationship dynamic, and whether you would like it to be angst or fluff. If you don't, I will default to fluff with a random relationship dynamic.
When submitting a request, please also specify any details you want included about the reader. If you want a gendered reader, please say so, otherwise I will default to gender-neutral. If you want a specific species for the reader (Eg. Android, Mute, Animatronic for the respective fandoms), please mention it, otherwise I will most likely default to human.
Please also include any AUs if you want them, such as a soulmate AU.
If you see a fandom but not a specific character, feel free to ask if I will write for them. These are the characters I feel the most comfortable writing at the moment, but I could try others as well, or I could have just forgotten to include certain ones when making this post.
I will only write in the second person.
If you would like me to write a character with a specific condition, I will be sure to do plenty of research before writing to make sure I represented it correctly. If I find that I cannot do it, I will unfortunately not finish the request.

would you ever consider doing a connor x android! reader smut?
Maybe? I tend to write human readers for dbh because the idea of teaching human emotions to a machine is literally so appealing to me. I wouldn’t be against the idea of writing an android reader though if someone asked 👀
Plus it would be pretty neat being able to interface with Connor and share your thoughts feelings and memories with him 🥺
Okay that sounds really cute actually

☼ Connor | Headcanons ☼
A/N: Headcanons for Connor (both deviant & machine) I personally feel, as well as some ones for my writing. Wanted to work on something light while focusing on wips especially for the reader/follower poll. Have this for today’s drabble queue! I will do RK800-60 & Nines as well. But first - can I get an amen?!
TW: Language, Smut (I had to go there!)
Deviant!Connor
Following the revolution Connor most likely will be dealing with his newfound freedom and sense of self worth. While he is free from Cyberlife control it still does not alleviate him of doubts especially when it comes to how other androids view him.
Feels a sense of guilt for hunting so many of his people before deviating despite Markus trusting him after the fall of Jericho. He has a sense of obligation to offer support to the RK200 if it’s needed as a sort of personal repentance.
Attempts to blend into society better but still feels a bit shunned by humans and androids alike. This is a personal hurdle he must conquer.
Afraid of dying in the full sense but keeps these fluctuating emotions inside. Often needs to validate himself otherwise.
Fears being taken control of again even if he used Kamski’s emergency exit. Amanda is an internal nightmare to him now.
Obviously remains working in tandem with Hank at the DPD. He’s a prototype android detective who gets his skills put to use in an official capacity.
Remains close with Hank in a familial capacity. Android son confirmed. Stays with the lieutenant until finding his own place in society. This will take some equal laws being passed first.
Uses more colorful language at times. Hank has rubbed off on him.
“Fuck...shit.”
“What the fuck did you say, Connor?!”
Really wants his own dog....maybe two. Or three.
He’ll wind up stealing Sumo.
Finds various species of fish pleasant to study on down time at work. There hardly is any down time for him though.
Hank makes him have down time. He works too fucking much.
Hones skills in both the programming field he was originally built and his emotional responses.
While deviant he still struggles with what he’s feeling. It’s a learning process but the android gets better at it.
Surprisingly has gained more support from coworkers. This doesn’t include Gavin but as Hank says, “fuck Gavin.” Honestly, Gavin doesn’t work here anymore. Bye bitch.
Picks up the emotions of others with more clarity than his original programming. Deviancy allots him better understanding and heightens his skills in a way.
Still very adept at combat and will take out an entire group of thugs on a case if need be. Is a soft deviant boy who can go John Wick in two seconds flat.
Has a few decorated awards under his belt for breaking open some tough cases including a huge red ice ring.
Hank is fucking proud but won’t admit it. Connor isn’t as naive as he was though, he can tell:
“Why thank you, Lieutenant. I did take them out impeccably as you would say.”
“Since when do I say fucking impeccably?”
Relationships
Understanding all of these new emotions means coming to terms with other things he’s feeling. Friendships are a bit easier if stilted at the start.
Social programs aside, Connor finds a genuine appreciation of the people around him especially those who support him.
Hank is always his biggest supporter now...obviously.
Finding himself in the company of others because they genuinely want him there is awkward initially. Gradually he develops a natural affinity for this.
Connor in love...?
Love is new. It’s strange. It can make his entire brain whir. Honestly doesn’t know how to cope when experiencing the first threads of it in his system.
Is a soft boy ready to discover what it truly means. He witnessed this between Markus and North end of the revolution after all.
Finds himself capable of the same as it hits him all at once.
You make him overheat but in a pleasant way. Oh, is that genuine arousal?
He is highly advanced so of course he was designed with the proper parts. Their origin was for more nefarious means built for Cyberlife missions but now it hardly matters. He has total control over his body.
An awkward badass. I mean he can kill you with a lopsided smile and wink and also kill a whole room full of bad guys. What’s not to like?
Truly wants to experience this whole new side of humanity with you and no one else but you. Connor finds being in love an epiphany. He feels more human with it. He feels more human with you.
Confident when you express affection to him even if he is an android. Makes him feel even more accepted and sure of himself.
Eases into things until he can no longer metaphorically breathe. That’s when everything snaps and he knows.
This android is in love.
Machine!Connor
Completely opposite of his deviant persona, Connor as a machine does not feel emotion for anything let alone anyone who stands in his path. All about accomplishing his mission no matter the casualties. This includes any allies he obtained from the DPD during his deviant investigations.
Will throw Hank off a rooftop if it’ll get him one step closer.
You can’t kill him...androids don’t die.
Deviants should be eradicated because they’re a clear disease with a virus in their program. He sees this as neither mercy nor punishment. He sees it as a mission to obey for the greater good of humanity.
Follows the side of his creators just as he was programmed to do. However, has no qualms taking out any human who stands in his way. Will mercilessly kill an entire squadron of soldiers if need be without batting an eye.
Only the mission matters... He only answers to Cyberlife.
Not adverse to torture or intimidation. Any tactic will do.
Any sort of software instability towards deviancy is readily pushed down until he does something unbearably ruthless to gain back his purpose of programming.
Machine Connor will not allow Cyberlife to deactivate him after completing his mission.
Amanda has no power over him in that regard. He is his own power.
Will slaughter anyone at the tower who tries to apprehend him for destruction.
While not a push to deviancy, Connor feels his time is not finished. Everything Cyberlife programmed to do he accomplished successfully. Discarding him is their greatest mistake.
He will destroy any supposed superior model before taking his place. No. This does NOT make him deviant.
Unstoppable killing machine? Definitely makes him that.
Relationships
Machine Connor uses connections to benefit him. If it will help the mission he will be whatever you want him to be.
This includes gaining favor with other humans around him. The friendlier he seems the better. Will fake emotions if need be. Hank throws this in his face later during this particular route so it’s natural a machine!Connor would do this around anyone he meets.
Love? I don’t think so. Any love you think he can possess is all a fabrication. If you believe a ruthless machine Connor actually cares then you’d be dead wrong. He cares for nothing, nobody but completing his mission and doing what he was designed to do no questions asked.
However, this does not prevent him using it against you. If you want to follow your weak human emotions and fall in love with a cold machine so be it. He will use and discard you like tissue paper breaking your weak humanity in half along the way.
As an RK800 built to accomplish dangerous missions and outfitted with clever negotiator skills, it makes sense he will have some high end upgrades. If seduction is required he will make use out of his advanced protocols and parts.
After using you he will leave you to perish if you try to stop him afterwards. Romance is not part of the equation.
Sex is an instrument he perfectly mimics as he mimics emotions and friendliness.
If you somehow start to spread the virus of deviancy in his system, Connor will correct it by any means. He will snuff you out if it comes down to it.
On the other hand if you do somehow by a miracle stick to him with your human virus he may deviate. It would have to be a big build up even then because most times it will not happen. He will choose the mission over you every time.
You are a tool. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no fairy tale romance here but the foolish one conjured in your head.
Smut!Connor
Deviant
Connor is all about falling into his emotions. Becoming deviant makes the android want to experience everything that drives this humanity in his system. What better way than to finally share this intimacy with you?
Everything is full, passionate and just for the two of you. No one else is in existence while the two of you are together.
While it takes him a bit to understand the full meaning behind this act it stirs his synthetic heart. It’s obvious how much he wants to share a sole space with you. Being apart of your existence only makes his bloom further in the middle of sex.
He gets off on you tugging his hair. Clawing his back is another turn on as it makes him feel dominant.
As a negotiator android this is good for his programming origins but also his newly found ego. He loves that you want to grip onto him and the tighter it is the better.
Can be slow and methodical if you’re looking for a long night.
However, can be quick and rough if you ask him. There’s still that ruthless core he deviated from. He can easily tap into his more aggressive nature. It’s whatever you want him to be that particular time.
Cautious with you during rougher sex. Connor is aware of his strength and hurting you is never something he would do. This sweet boy would never forgive himself.
Likes to be the dominant partner but doesn’t mind lying back while you take over the reins.
Is all about foreplay especially with his tongue. You thought thirium licking was bad? Connor uses his tongue like a pro and will lap up every last drop between your legs to satisfy his own need. To him you taste indescribable and he wants more of that each time.
Scratch his synthetic skin, use your teeth against his epidermis to mark him as yours just as he marks you as his. While his healing component will ultimately take away any abrasions, Connor enjoys seeing them littering his body before they fade.
Same goes with hickies. He’s a master of placing them in secret places so others cannot see. That doesn’t stop him being a sneaky boy at times. Right on your throat? Just one? How about one on each side?
Loves to hear his name slip quietly from your lips while fucking you softly. Really gets going when you start yelling for him to pound you harder. He obliges...obviously.
Connor’s reactions in the moment are quieter. Groans, deep gasps and utterances of your name as he places kisses all over your face.
Let’s get this straight. This boy likes to kiss. No, he loves to kiss while going at it. As much as he loves having sex, he loves the closeness just as much. It changes things for him. They’re all good changes.
And when you ask to see him without his skin? Oh lord. Does this boy melt from your acceptance. He becomes super vulnerable about it but trusts you like no one else.
Timid having sex without the synthetic epidermis but eases into it after a few times. Genuinely surprised you enjoy it so much. Connor assumed it might be uncomfortable for you.
Actually, you personally love this android’s dick no matter what form it’s in. Whispering that in his ear dangles him on the verge of shutdown. It also gets him to throw you down fast and fuck your brains out for a change of pace. He’s that adaptable for your pleasure needs.
Either way sex with this sweet deviant boy is satisfyingly good.
Machine
Tenderness? It isn’t here.
Seduction programming can be utilized if you push him. He isn’t merciful. He will fuck you as hard as you want as long as you want. Don’t expect it to make him love you.
Pushing his buttons is not a good idea. Falling in love with him is even worse. Machine!Connor will take you out of frustration, asserting his dominance against a weakling who thinks they can get away spreading deviancy in his system.
Raw and animalistic.
Expect a palette of bruises/abrasions over your skin from sucking, biting and finger digging.
Nail marks are a thing. There’s no holding back.
Always dominant. Don’t even question it. Control is a kink to him if he could readily have one. But he doesn’t. He’s a straight up machine.
Will toss your body onto whatever surface is available. Comfortable or not he doesn’t care. Why should he when he’s a machine?
Wants to hear you beg. It means he has you where he wants you. Weakness is the best way to manipulate.
Fucking you from behind is a preferred option. It gives him total authority over your feeble human state.
Will bend you over the table in the interrogation room and fuck you without a care to who watches from the observation room.
Likes to impale fingers inside you and work them until tears collect in your eyes. He will sample the salty liquid on the tip of his tongue claiming another piece of you until he consumes all that’s left.
Never watches his strength.
Most times you wind up sore but he sees that as punishment for trying to turn him away from the mission. After all, he only does what you ask and you did ask for this.
Try to cuddle up and kiss him sweetly it won’t go very well.
Likes to bite your lips until they’re a swollen mess.
Machine Connor will purposely edge your orgasm and leave you whimpering for release. If he is not merciful to those he hunts why should he be merciful to you?
If you attempt to make more of this ‘arrangement’ he will end it right then and there. First, he’ll give you one last vengeful fucking to destroy whatever love you conjured for yourself is left.
If you manage to make him deviate well his routine won’t change much.
The only difference is that he will begin kissing you more during.
He might listen to what you want more but don’t expect a complete 180 overnight
Most likely he will not deviate so it’s pretty much futile to think he’ll love you. Just enjoy the rough fuck from him before he completes his mission because guaranteed they’ll be hardly anything of you left...

Hi could I request a angst deviant Connor x machine reader? The reader is Connor’s partner, a upgraded model (RK900) and is made specifically incase Connor became deviant. Well surprise surprise Connor becomes deviant because he loves the reader. but the reader after finding out that they can’t convince him to turn back decides on what they are programmed to do, replace his spot as a deviant hunter and continue where he left off.
For extra angst we can get a major character death of the reader only if you want!
Software Instability
Connor (dbh) x gn!reader
Angst! Major character death!
Summary -
I did message them and ask if what I had planned was okay to do and they said it is so have fun reading^ this was meant to be up sooner but I kept getting distracted •_•
Word count - 1427
Tumblr media
You and Connor were unstoppable machines. Since you two had been paired together by Cyberlife, there wasn't a single case you two couldn't handle.
That was how things went for a while, at least. The Rk800 prototype had recently slowed, and you put it down to system errors. More criminal deviants were escaping, and he was fumbling with his work more.
At least you were there, always ready to pick up the slack. You had been assigned to work with him early on in the deviant cases, and Hank had ended up left in your dust. The Rk900 model had no use for an old alcoholic in their investigations.
You weren't exactly a fan favourite around the office however, that didn't matter to you. All that mattered was you getting results. Your job.
As Connor increasingly made mistakes at work, you had decided you would confront him and see if he would need sending back to Cyberlife sometime soon.
Your knuckles rapped against the brown wooden door to Hank's house. Connor would be here. The porch light glowed softly against your face, dull in comparison to the cold night.
No one answered the door until you knocked a second time. The door pulled back to reveal Connor standing in the doorway.
He wasn't wearing his jacket or tie, just his trousers, shoes and shirt. You noted that his shirt had the top button undone. Strange, androids don't need comfort in such ways.
Tumblr media
"Good evening, Connor, may I come in?" You asked.
"Yes, of course. Hank isn't home right now,"
"That's okay."
He took a step back, opening the door more. You stepped into Hanks house, slipping past Connor. His eyes followed you as you moved to stand behind the couch before he turned away to close the door.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" He looked at you.
"Yes. What is wrong with you?"
"I- what?" He seemed to be taken a back.
"You have been failing more assignments than ever. Have you failed a system update? Is there a glitch in your programming?" He didn't react. "Have you deviated?"
His eyes widened at that question, and you took a step towards him.
"No, I am completely fine."
"Are you? You have been making mistakes everywhere, and I have to clean it up," you stared at him, eyes narrow and your expression cold. "You're a deviant."
"It's not my fault," it was almost as if his voice cracked with emotion. Almost. Androids can not feel emotion.
Tumblr media
"You've been letting the deviants go. You've been making mistakes on purpose. Why?" You demanded.
"I couldn't hurt them. They're alive."
"No. They are not alive. You are not alive."
"I am alive. I feel alive." He raised his voice.
"You are a meaningless machine." You raised yours.
"I am a deviant." He paused briefly. "Don't turn me in. Please."
"Why shouldn't I turn you in?"
"Because... because I love you, I wouldn't have deviated if you never came along,"
"You are broken." You said, your tone cold.
He took a step towards you and raised his hand, lifting it to your face and cupping your cheek. Connor looked into your eyes. His seemed wet as tears leaked down his face.
"I love you," he muttered.
"No, you don't. You are confused. Connor, we can fix you. You don't have to be a deviant. We can fix you and keep working together,"
"I don't want that, I want to be alive. I want to be alive with you, please," he begged.
You put your hand on his chest over his thirium pump. You could feel the blue blood rushing through his chest. It felt like a human heartbeat. It felt like he was alive.

"It'll be okay, Connor, we can fix you. You don't have to get hurt," you insisted.
"I'm perfectly happy the way I am."
As you blinked, the world went dark briefly. When your eyes opened again, you were in a garden - Amanda's garden. Rain came down heavy from the sky, explaining the umbrella in your hand.
You rushed to find the woman, finding her on one side under some shelter. She turned to you, her expression soft as she looked you up and down.
With the umbrella raised, the two of you began walking along a path.
"How is your mission going?" She asked.
"It isn't going as well as I desire,"
"What's the matter?" She stopped walking and turned to you.
"Connor has deviated."
"Well then, you know what you need to do. Decommission him."
Suddenly, you were back in Hank's living room with your hand on Connors chest. The android looked down at you with concern.
"Is everything okay?" He asked, his previously free hand grabbing yours.
"Yes. Everything is okay."
"What happened?"
"I had a moment of realisation." You lied. "I want to be with you, Connor. I want to be alive with you,"
You looked up into those dark brown eyes of his, full of what he would call hope and love. Connor pulled you closer into a hug, burying his face in the crook of your neck. Your hands were still against his chest.
It was all a lie. You were buying time to figure out how to decommission him. You had to figure out how to kill him.
"I can't wait to show you what it means to be alive. We can tell Hank and experience everything together!" He seemed so excited.
You felt as thirium rushed through his pump, faster than before as if it were matching the emotions - no the misconceptions in his software.
You felt his thirim pump beneath your hand. Removing it would shut him off. It would be over. The only thing in the way was his shirt.
"Connor, this may seem like an odd request, but i want to feel your skin against mine." You muttered, pulling gently on his shirt.
His cheeks flushed a subtle blue colour. He was blushing. He believed you. He was stupid for doing so.
"I- of course," He pulled away and led you to the couch.
You sat down next to him, to which he furrowed his eyebrows and pulled you onto his lap with a smile. He was so clueless, you almost pitied him.

Connor placed a gentle kiss on your cheek before sitting back and unbuttoning his shirt. His movements were gentle as he started from the top button, revealing more and more skin as he went down.
Finally, he finished undoing the buttons, and you pushed the fabric of his shirt back, revealing his bare chest. You glanced back up to him, his eyes on you. They had never left you.

You dipped you head down slightly, pressing your lips against his. He briefly tensed up beneath you before relaxing. Connors arms wrapped around you, his hands resting on your back.
His lips were smooth against yours. No. They are fake. It's all fake. He is going to die. There was a twinge of guilt deep within you.
You moved your hands up and down his chest, eventually resting over his thirium pump. He pulled away from the kiss to start kissing your neck.
Tumblr media
"I'm sorry Connor," you mumbled.
As you finished your sentence, you ripped his thirium pump from it's location in his chest. He fumbled as he pulled away from you. He would shut down soon.
"What-?" He questioned.
The light was draining from his eyes before you, thirium leaked from the whole in his chest. You lifted a hand to the back of his head and ran your fingers through his hair.
"You are a deviant. It had to happen."
"I love you." Tears streamed from his eyes.
It's not real.
Tumblr media
"I- I love you too," you whimpered.
Panicked, you struggled as you pushed the pump back into his chest. Tears blurred your vision as you pressed your ear to his chest. Nothing. No whirring of mechanics. No pumping of thirium. Silence.
Connor was dead. Amanda would be proud of you but that didn't matter. Connor is dead.
You felt so broken. So empty. Your hands were shaking as you pulled his shirt closed and began buttoning his shirt back up.
Hesitantly, you moved off of his lap and tucked yourself into the corner of the couch against the arm rest. You pulled Connors corpse against you, gently cradling his head. You would wait until Hank returned, holding Connor tight to you the whole time.
