Merry Christmas

It was Christmas morning today and a young child ran towards the valley holding some presents in her arms. Behind her was Jack who was having the time of his life, and behind both of them was Jafar who was trying to keep Daniela away from doing anything chaotic. Annoyingly the skeleton took the young girl on a job of giving gifts with 'little surprises' he got one this morning when Daniela snuck into his room and jumped on his bed. The coffee and cookies weren't bad per say, they were good. Just that she yelled out Merry Christmas so suddenly and loudly that Lago nearly fainted out of the noise.

" Here you go Merry Christmas!!" The young 6 year old yelled out before jogging away with Jack, leaving Ariel with a box full of marshmallows and glitter. Giggling she sees Jafar looked really grumpy, very funny indeed. Eating a marshmallow she relishes the sweet candy.

" Hi Scar! How you doing?" Daniela tilted her head towards the sleepy Scar. Groaning he moves around hoping the cub would get the message and leave.

" I got you fish, and a nice slice of pie you like." Seeing him lay on the ground before using his tail to take the gift from the girl.

" Oh okay then, Merry Christmas!" Scurrying away she also places some food covered in a bow for the hyenas, good thing Jack was helping with the gift giving.

Seeing the fairy godmother pass she quickly runs towards her hugging her waist. The lady chuckles before patting her head. " Oh child you look very festive today."

" Yup, also here a sugar cookie!" Daniela grins her. " My goodness thank you child, Merry Christmas." Waving at her goodbye, Daniela salutes before running towards the well and jumping in. Jafar ran by looking for the little girl, turning towards the fairy godmother.

" Have you seen Daniela?" The fairy godmother who was busy eating the cookie then turned towards him. " Daniela? Ah yes Daniela she just headed towards the well."

" I swear I'm losing more hair than ever."

" You shouldn't stress yourself, I think Merlin or Ursula had some potions for hair growth if I recall." The fairy godmother tried to recall if they did, but Jafar had already left. He had a feeling he'd find her with the sea witch next.

" Ah Angelfish, just in time I was thinking of asking you a little favor-" She was cut off when Daniela handed her items from the valley, specifically the ingredients she needed. " Here you go, have a good Christmas Ursula!"

" Why thank you Angelfish, but I don't understand why you'd be getting all of this at a sudden notice."

" Because you are all my friends and all friends need a gift!" Daniela crossed her arms before heading out the cave, well tried to get out she bumped into black fabric. Looking up she saw Jafar's red eyes.

" Oh hi Jafar, are you here to visit Ursula?"

" No... I just want you to stop running about all over the place, some villagers have been getting terrorized by that Skeleton at this moment."

" Uh Jack isn't messing around with peoples things is he?" Daniela recalled when Jack first came to the village it was a bit chaotic. And Jafar really didn't like having Jack mess around with his things. Aladdin and Abu also decided to take Daniela for a nice walk around the valley so Jafar had to deal with the way to curious Skeleton. Daniela felt really bad for not focusing on her duties that day, well she learned a lesson there.

" Well maybe... now why don't you rest for a bit you've been running around for a hour already." Taking her outside he leads her to a bench, forcing her to sit down.

" I've been using the wells, and if you just wanted to tell me to rest why didn't you send Lago to tell me?" Daniela huffed in annoyance, before turning away from the mans eye. " Because you stressed him out, and insisted on taking a longer nap. That bird..."

Daniela then played with her hands, before sighing." Ah, so after I sit down for a minute can I go give the rest of the gifts to the valley?"

"..."

" Two minutes?"

"...fine do as you will, but remember to take care of that Skeleton." Jafar huffs before eyeing Daniela who was tip toeing away from him. He just rolled his eyes and gave a nod of approval, getting a bright smile in response from the young girl.

" See I was right that you aren't a grumpy bald tired guy like they said!" Daniela giggles before hugging him tightly before running off.

Jafar then gritted his teeth, knowing fully on who said that to her. " I see..."

Elsa was busy making some ice sculptures for the Christmas party they were going to have later that evening, and Anna was helping her set up the decorations. While Kristof was in charge of the heavy duty and Olaf insisted on keeping watch. They were focused until they heard Daniela yell at them from the distance, gliding on the ground with dreamy mist she quickly waves.

" MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Daniela then hunched over before huffing. Jafar was right, she should stop with the running.

" Geeze Daniela what's the rush?!" Anna the quickly got a water bottle and handed her one, patting her back. " Take a deep breath, you okay you look very tired."

" I'm okay, here guys for being my friends a gift." Daniela smiled cheerfully handing the four of them a gift each. Olaf then grinned before hugging Daniela. " Thank you, but you should be more careful next time."

" Ah yes, I will... anyways uh... I guess see you guys soon when the party is finished preparing." Daniela chuckled before slowly plummeting herself down the well.

" Now where is Merlin, hmm... Merlin Merlin Merlin, I wonder if he'd like this?" Daniela then heard the sound of some one walking, turning around she sees a tall woman who had very distinguishable horns.

" Mal!! How is it going, you doing good?" Maleficent just entered the valley five weeks ago, and she chose to live in the forgotten lands away from the most cheerful folk. Wanting the peace and quiet instead of the loud and busy village. Daniela was a enigma to the Mistress of Evil, a sunny yet naive child who such recklessly greeted her has yet to invoke her wrath, but undoubtedly she couldn't get to mad. The child has some respect for her, and wasn't bad to talk to.

" Hello little crow, I'm doing fine as you can see. But I heard you were searching for that annoying man?" Daniela tilted her head blinking before smiling. " Why yes, I'm looking for Merlin, but uh... I can't find him."

" What are you holding in your hands?" Her green eyes studied the book wrapped in red wrapping paper.

" A present, for Merlin... Oh don't worry I didn't forget you I have a gift for you too!" Daniela sofly smiled at her, Maleficent then grins. " So you have... Well what is it?"

" A invitation as a honorable guest at the party we're hosting, and a painting I did of you and Diablo." Daniela handed her the painting it was obviously not perfect, but it was done with such care. " I asked Rapunzel to teach me on how to paint, I made two before but they didn't turn out as I wanted it... Uh I hope you like it. Merry Christmas..."

"... It's...nice, I'll have it hanged in my castle." Maleficent said with a poker face, before hearing the sound of Merlins voice. " Well see you at the party Daniela." The fairy told her as she disappeared leaving some green fire to fly like fireflies.

" Ah Daniela there you are I've been looking for you, Jack and the others were just asking for you." Merlin mumbles something else to himself, but Daniela was busy taking her gift out to give him.

" Well, that would take care of... Oh what's this?" He fixed his glasses and looked at the wrapped gift, he teared apart the wrapping and found a notebook with stickers in the front.

" I made a book for the library, I learned how about some of the animals behavior and how to take care of them. So, I made a guide book!"

" My how thoughtful!" Merlin chuckled before patting her head. " That is good, you are learning. But, no time to waste we have to go to the party right now."

" Got it, let's go in the well... again...." Daniela thought about a idea on wings, if she made some she could fly towards her destination like Tinkerbell and the others.

Heh maybe someday, for now she had a party to go to...

Merlin has gone missing.

Dreamlight Valley seemed to transform overnight with the disappearance of it's magical warden.

Whatever night thorns that had been banished, trimmed, uprooted- they all seemed to sprout right back within hours of the wizard disappearing. Curling up and around trellises, the Castle, choking paths to and from other parts of the valley.

Merlin's gone missing, and now the citizens of Dreamlight Valley are calling for you, their leader, once again to help them.

Nintendo Switch: DDLV-A Rift In Time...Part 2!

This DLC is one of the first times as a gamer, that there was maybe too much to do from extra content. Even with finishing part 1, and waiting for part 2, I find I either have time for the valley or the isle and not both. But part 2 is here!

The Spark Of Imagination: We do get to know a couple of things from the Teaser. The hourglass tool has more updates coming, the narrative continues, and Oswald The Lucky Rabbit joins you! I can't wait to place his house in my valley in my business district!

So, for any players with both a free and paid update-here is a separate post for the paid update. Your mission starts with Merlin. I won't say too much for spoilers, but I found the mission that continues the story to be a good use of characters. Good puzzles too. And I am so excited for Oswald! He feels like one of the more thought out characters.

Next update comes in the Summer for The Rift In Time. It typically comes after a star path or two, who has played this already? Did anyone buy the update now that there is two parts to it to play?

Who is your favourite villager in Dreamlight Valley?

Base Game: Minnie Mouse. I love her story line A LOT (honestly Ghost Minnie was one of the best story lines in the whole game and I kinda miss the eerie vibes of the early game where Minnie would just appear and disappear. I hope we have more characters lost in the Between the Here and There because I want more Ghost characters. I also REALLY like Merlin, Fairy Godmother, Mickey, and Wall-E. I just REALLY like Merlin. I love his character in both Sword in the Stone and Kingdom Hearts and he is my Kooky grandpa and I wanted to take a broom to all the people complaining about him in the early days of DDLV. You should be glad we got Kooky Grandpa and not "I'm not mad just disappointed" Yen Sid. I love Mickey's characterization in DDLV. And the Fairy Godmother is an absolute sweetheart and I love the story that comes with her and the fact that she and Jack are like really close friends via their shared love of pumpkins is just genius. Also, like.....look at Wall-E roam around the valley, how can you NOT love him lol Eternity Isles: So far, Rapunzel. I love watching her run around Eternity Isle and the Valley when I have her in the Valley. She's a joy to just be in the same area as. I also really love Eve, but I think Rapunzel beats her (Though...if who I think is the Lucky Villager IS the Lucky Villager....uh um....yeah....its gonna be him. He's gonna be my favorite. He will always be my favorite. He cannot be topped. I have been obsessed since I was in high school. That game changed my brain and the way I think. He is my blorbo. He continues to rotate in my brain as if it was a microwave. There is no thought but him....)
