⊹ ࣪ ˖ Death is subjective | my personal view on it
A lot of us view death as something that's the permanent end of life and though of course they aren't wrong, I would like to add that death has many more meanings. I'm not the most spiritual person but I do believe in alot of spiritual concepts, especially the concept of death not being just the end and a negative.
There is many forms of death that can be both positive and negative outlooks. A positive (or atleast neutral) version of death is something like ego death as a great example.
It can also be something like letting go of your old self and rebirthing yourself into something new (which i am personally doing for my respawning journey)
Death is not just destruction but can be transformation. Even the act destruction itself can be an act of creation.
In many different cultures and religions, they have very different views on death as well. Hindus and Buddhists may believe that death is just a part of the cycle of life, death, and rebirth in samsara, Abrahamic Religions believe in the eternal afterlife (especially if one is a good person in their religion's standards), atheists believe that there is nothing after death, some quantum nerds may believe the quantum immortality exists, and many pagan and esoteric beliefs have many different versions on death *usually seeing it as a natural part of existence/creation and/or even a gateway to new beginnings-- especially when it comes to breaking out of your physical body*.
How I personally view death is just something that's natural in the physical (especially biological) plane of creation/existence. I also believe that all things are from consciousness. Science, lots of philosophies, and literally some religions confirm that energy can not be created or destroyed but only changed. That's also one of the reasons why I personally agree with the concept of creation already being finished. Some theories that may claim consciousness ( + the soul) is some form of energy, and if we consider that and put that with the fact of energy can't be created or destroyed, can we say death is really end. Also with shifting, loa, and the infinite possibilities/realities it gives you-- there infinite ways on how death can be; not just in different realities but also the person themselves experiencing it all.
That's just my outlook on it though 🤷‍♀️

If I Should Die by meeee!
If I should die
tear me apart and give me to the ones I love
Give each of my sisters an eye
so I can watch them grow
Give my friends my helping hands
and my foes my listening ears
Give my mother my heart
to repay her for the love she once gave me
Give my father my brain
for now we may finally be of the like mind
Give my tongue to those who I’ve yet to meet
so my stories can live on
Lay my remains in the tall grass
and watch new life flourish around my bones
If I should die
let new life sprout from the old
(wrote this based off of this tattoo i found and was thinking of getting.. if anyone knows the original artist pls lmk i cannot find them)

Obituary
Our love existed in a time and place that no longer does.
Now words on paper is all you’ll ever be,
You died the night you left me.
Now this stranger has your name,
face, and body.
He didn’t come to the funeral.
He won’t read this and weep,
But I know it’ll seep
Into the open wounds he keeps,
When he can’t seem to sleep
And remembers the man he killed that night.
Now you wont ever get to shed your light
Again.

I wish I could just float on a lake in the rain…
Laying still like a corpse…
Bonding with the water for hours…
Swallowed up by darkness…
Truly alone…

Cathedrals are haunted by the souls of those who long for forgiveness. No sinner lingers long on earth; no saint wanders in this filthy land. We are all happy fools, as the prophet says. For only fools can live long with their life intact.

I think death is a beautiful thing. Taking your last breaths then drifting off into everlasting quietude. The dead remain forever beautiful, even if they begin to rot. They become pale and cold as their carcass slowly decays. They join the rest of the reposed souls within the ground, forever sleeping soundly in the infinite abyss.
Oh to be a mortician...

As the spring sprung, a mother fox, after birthing her pups, was struck by a vehicle and thrown into a nearby tree line. When I found her body decaying, with the tendrils of plants sprouting around her, I couldn't help but see the cycle of life. As she dissolved into Mother Earth, she enriched the soil so the flora blossomed with more vibrancy. Oh the great mysteries of life!

Aging is a curse? Death is your enemy?
You don't understand what it means to be human then.
None of these aspects of aging scares me because that is what life is. We are born, we do what we set out to do in life, and sometimes we don't, and then we die. Removing death from life inherently removes reason to exist in the first place.
My brother died a year and a half ago. He would have been 25 this year. His loss hurt more than anything I've ever experienced. It's painful and horrible.
But it passes. It eases. It reminds you that life is precious and should be cherished. My brother's death reminded me of that. And it reminded me to continue moving forward, no matter what.
And dying and ceasing to exist does not scare me. I will be nothing someday. I will be gone. And that does not scare me. It inspires me. It makes me look forward to my life, it makes me happy that I am here, and it makes me remember who I am.
I want to look back someday and see that I have lived, and I have lived no matter what. And when I die, I want to go knowing that I have done at least something for someone. I already have done good things for people, even as I am now. If I died tomorrow, it would suck, yes. I wouldn't have been able to complete my stories or become a teacher, or have kids, or be so happily in love.
But what I have now? If I died tomorrow, at least I'd have been happy. At least I'd know that I made positive impacts on people.
Life is about change. Life is about death. Being scared of your own mortality won't do anything for you but cause you to suffer.
I also don't like how a lot of people seem to think aging is basically just wrinkles and therefore think of it purely in terms of like, the beauty industry.

Aging is a curse that causes you to accumulate all kinds of increasingly debilitating and lethal status effects until you essentially get locked out of living your life and lose all of the abilities you may have once defined yourself by.
And then you die and permanently cease to exist, and everyone who cares about you suffers.
There is no such thing as "healthy" aging except in relative terms (by trying to remain active and so on to slow the decline).
Death is my enemy, no matter the cause of it. I do not give an exception to "natural causes".
