Seeing so many older butches at Pride today was so important to me. Butches who were there during multiple queer rights movements here in Canada. Butches who are now grey, but still laughing, holding their chins up high, puffing their chests as they make space for the other women around them. Butches who protected their community long before I even had an idea what gender even was. Butches that saw me come up to their little tent, and smiled at me. Joked with me. Looked me up and down and nodded in approval. That moment was so important in a way I don't fully have words to express. I hope I can be like them when I grow up.

So about that cut thread:

In the book, Percy sees the Fates cut a thread early on, and is scared because this means that someone is going to die. In the show we have Annabeth seeing it instead, a bit later in the season, but absolutely sharing the fear that book Percy felt.

However, we know that it didn't mean that one of them was going to die during the quest. In the Last Olympian, it is confirmed that the thread that was cut so early on in the series, was about Luke sacrificing himself to kill Kronos. Luke! The cut thread was never about Percy or Annabeth or Grover. It was about Luke at the very end of the series!

With that in mind, it makes so much more sense for Annabeth to see the Fates instead of Percy! After all, she is so much closer to Luke than Percy is. Now Annabeth is going to be fearing for Percy's or her own death for literal YEARS, until she is finally going to find out that it was about her oldest friend, her big brother, LUKE, all along!

I always write Jake as someone who would go a bit crazy for Bradley on a motorcycle (which is totally valid)

But also it'd be so funny if Bradley learned to ride a bike when Jake was deployed somewhere (mostly because he always wanted to, like Mav, and it can make the commute easier, but also---) thinking Jake will find it hot and he'll give him rides that would end up with Jake all over him.

But when Jake finally comes back and Bradley shows him his new motorcycle, wearing full leather gear and all, he freaks out, going on and on about how those are death traps and he's not getting on one and Bradley better not be getting on one either when he's present or so god help him
