Sorry for the inactivity, folks! @swagtastic-bougie-pompadour's Porygon thought it would be a "funny" "prank" to lock us out of our account. But on the bright side, we're finally ready to share our list of ~*~DECEMBER ACTIVITIES~*~

First off, every night on Hannukah we will be joining forces with the Jewish Student Association to host a Hannukah party! We invite students of all faiths to enjoy our menorah lighting, dreidel games, fried food, and fun music!

On the 9th and 10th of December, we will be having a DECK The Halls trading card games get-together! Come play a pick-up game with friends or strangers, or enter one of our tournaments to win some fun holiday trinkets!

Also on the 9th, we will be having a Holiday Pokémon Talent Show!

Do you have an Ice-type with a special talent? Or does your Pokémon know a trick that's just perfect for the winter holidays? Then be sure to enter our talent show-- or you can just watch all the other amazing Pokémon! (For safety reasons, all performances must be approved by event staff beforehand.) All entrants will receive a special gift bag, and 1st and 2nd place for each age division (5 and under, 6 through 9, 10 through 13, 14 and up) will receive a special prize!

And also on the 10th, we will be having a winter cookie and cupcake decorating session!

On the 11th, Librarian Adam will once again be reading seasonal stories, this time relating to Christmas, Hannukah, and winter!

Every night from the 18th to the 22nd, at 7PM, we will be showing a holiday movie and selling concessions!

Monday: The Muppet Delibird Carol

Tuesday: Emmet Oshawott's Jug-Band Delibird Day

Wednesday: Klaus

Thursday: It's A Wonderful Life

Friday: A Year Without A Santa Claus

The library will have reduced staff on the 24th and 25th, but you are welcome to come hang out in the atrium for a hot drink and cookies, as well as some company.

And finally, on the 31st, we will be having a NEW YEAR'S EVE BASH! Come enjoy plenty of snacks, crafts, games, and stories! Plus, as midnight years, we'll be watching the broadcast from the Real Casa de Correos as the ball drops and the clocktower bells ring in the new year!

Hey, no self-deprecating on Delibird Day.

I'm just saying! But anyway. Duraludon is a Pokemon that has scales of duralumin. Which I... think is either aluminum or copper? But point is, it has metal scales that are very durable and lightweight, yet very vulnerable to rust. So while you'll see Duraludon around large bodies of water, you'll rarely ever see one IN water. They're often found in mountain ranges searching for metals and minerals, which are their primary diet.

Now as for Archaludon... I'll admit I know significantly less about it. From what I do know it's an evolution from Unova, so maybe it was something induced by humans? They evolve through a particular alloy, I believe, so maybe introducing it to their diet makes them evolve? Hm. Wonder if Drayton would know more about this...

[A video is attached, taken by someone with a rather unsteady hand. Ling the Galarian Yamask is zipping in frantically excited circles around the incubator, wherein both eggs are wobbling- although the Skornaling egg is practically rattling with urgency, while the mystery brown egg is merely gently rocking.

Suddenly Ling stops dead, hovering directly above the Skornaling egg as cracks abruptly spiderweb across the shell and pieces begin to fall away. Within only a few seconds there's a sizeable hole in the side and out flops-

Well, it's a Yamask, although its head is shaped like a canine Pokemon's skull and its eyes are the vivid green crescents of Spiritomb. Tiny little sharp teeth are embedded in the black ectoplasm of its mouth, and a full spine travels down its back and into its tail, which is curled around what looks like an etched femur.

The person behind the camera can be heard to mumble something that sounds much like "Oh, Arc," as Professor Gingko's voice exclaims from the side in delight. Just as she moves into frame to take the lid off the incubator, the mystery egg jerks, and a hoofed leg punches out through the shell. The new baby Yamask yowps in surprise and lunges to bite the leg, but is unceremoniously pulled out of chomping range by Gingko as the other hatchling struggles free of its shell.

This one is a Stantler, as it turns out! It looks like a normal Stantler fawn for the most part, except for the fact that its little nose is very, very red.

The person behind the camera makes a little 'aww'-ing sound, and is once again cut off by Gingko, who this time lets out a loud "OW FUCK". The Yamask, disallowed from biting its fellow infant, has bitten her instead.]

They were horrified.

Delibird Mail!

It's a plush of a Cacturne, legs and all. A single note is at the bottom in purple cursive writing, and a badly doodled drawing of Skrub.

"You're a pain in the ass. Merry Delibird Day."

The Baby, with her own newfound legs, appears to be running away with the plushie in tow. It is way too large for the baby grass type, as the cacturne plush's long legs drag behind her as she sprints.]

Merry Delibird day to you too, jackass. This plushie is adorable. But. Uh. I knocked it off the table accidentally and I think its now The Baby's new best friend. I hope you don't mind that.

A delibird flies in

From inside it's tail, it takes out a white present with a blue ribbon. Inside the box there is a glitter bomb that instantly explodes as soon as you open it and a baby celesteela plushie

Alright, FIRST OF ALL! That Delibird watched me unwrap your little present all delicately then LAUGHED at me when it burst! So ouch

SECOND! All of this? My body here? It's skin, not a costume! Can you imagine how hard this was to clean off!? My shower is definitely clogged now! As if looking like a living pool toy with all the water in my holes wasn't bad enough!

Delibird Delivery..? Well, really, it's more a Banette dressed as a Delibird that Teleports in- how the hell did she get all the way out here?- with wrapped gifts. Before vanishing back off again, she begs to meet the baby Skornaling, and then poofs off like one of Santa's oddly spooky helpers. In the package is a small daily calendar that boasts a Daily Evil Team Affirmation Note. Along with it is a black baby blanket with an embroidered skull-and-bones pattern, and a neatly folded gay pride flag.

Along with it is a seemingly homemade three-pack of decent-to-comically-bad horror films. The first is called DIYA YARU, which is a wildly inaccurate take on the ancient Sinnohian holiday of Diya no Yaru; the film itself is about Giratina actively hunting people down. The second is called Plasmatic, a post-apocalyptic story about what would happen if Team Plasma lost... it was produced in 2011. The third is called Run You Down, about a bloodthirsty Rotom that possessed a motorcycle. The package isn't signed and there's no card in sight, but hopefully the Santa should be obvious.

Guh...

Ya didn't have to do this for us, we don't even celebrate Delibird Day! But eh... thanks, a lot, either way.

GHAHHH THESE MOVIES. Ohhh I've heard of the first two they sound AWFUL I'm so excited. And that third one sounds so ridiculous and great at the same time.

🎄Delibird Day🎄

Day 1: Introduction

Sorta rushed but-

Delibird Day is a winter holiday in the pokemon world that celebrates the worldwide migration of Delibird. In most regions, it’s customary to leave your window open with lights around it so a Delibird can rest in your home, and it will leave gifts as a form of thanks for the shelter.

The Delibird migration is meant to be a base for other people to create their own traditions and Holidays. So go nuts, I’ll probably be posting some traditions I made based on Christmas, but feel free to create your own ideas.

(yes, this is an excuse for Christmas/Holiday art for Pokemon)

Day 2: Decorations

(Reminder: This concept is open for anyone to play with and put their own spin on it)

Since I lean heavily toward Christmas inspiration: People usually put up a tree for the Delibird to rest on and use string lights so the Delibirds know where to enter on especially stormy nights.

Day 3: Mall Delibirds

Like real-life Mall Santas, malls in the pokemon world set up special enclosures so kids can play with Delibirds and ask for stuff for Delibird Day, and so parents can take pictures.

The Paldea Pokemon League will be closed December 15th for our (early, admittedly) Delibird Day employee party! Employees of the Pokémon League and Naranja-Uva Academy will all be celebrating with their co-workers that day, and might be absent or late to respond to challenges or e-mails!

Delibird day was nice I had fun with some ice type Pokémon at a skating rink :3 my Pokémon liked their gifts too! <3

Pelipper mail! [A sturdy notebook with a brown cover, it has a bow tied around it with a note attatched to it. Underneath the notebook is a book about pokemon history, and sandwiched in between are some papers that contain drawings of pokemon and uncanny looking humanoid monsters.]
