I just know Rebecca tries to be enthusiastic when Tara talks about cars cause she loves her and can see how passionate she is about it but god can those conversations get long and the only thing she knows about cars is where to get a good deal on them
"You got a package," Rebecca said, bringing a box to Tara where she was sitting in the living room. Rebecca leaned over the back of the couch, placing it on Tara's lap as she did.
"Ohh, it's here!" Tara said excitedly, ripping it open immediately, tossing aside the phone she'd had in her hand without a thought. Rebecca slid her arms around Tara's shoulders from behind, watching her tear into the box, grinning over her excitement.
"What is it?" Rebecca asked, even though she was pretty sure she already knew the answer. Tara had showed her multiple web auctions recently for some parts for her pride and joy car. Tara had 'finished' restoring it years ago, but as Rebecca was learning, there was never really an end state for a car restoration nut.
"Hold on," Tara said as she tore into the package, ripping off layers of cardboard and styrofoam until she got to the treasure inside. She picked it up and held it aloft, tilting it into a sunbeam that was then reflected back into Rebecca's eyes.
"It's a rearview mirror," Rebecca said flatly, nuzzling her face into the crook of Tara's neck to avoid the light shining in her eyes. "Exciting."
"I know that was sarcasm, but it is exciting. It's deadstock!" Tara said rapidly, enthusiasm filling her voice. She turned the mirror around, examining every angle. "Never been used, and it's from the right year. The one I have right now is close, but it's a '72."
Tara scoffed, obviously deeply offended over her own previous decision to have placed an incorrect year rearview mirror in her car. Rebecca hummed appreciatively into Tara's hair. "For the Open GT?"
Tara chuckled. "The Opel GT."
"Close enough," Rebecca replied. "I listen."
"I know you do," Tara said, setting the mirror down on her lap and leaning back to catch Rebecca's eyes. "It's one of your more redeeming qualities."
Rebecca kissed her, Tara's hand threading through Rebecca's hair as she did. They pulled apart and shared a smile.
Rebecca let the quiet sit between them for a beat before taking mercy on her girlfriend. "You want to go install it right now, don't you?" she asked.
"Oh my God, yes," Tara said, jumping up off the couch, brushing aside the wreckage of the package onto the floor as she ran towards the garage. "Come on, I can show you the difference in beveling around the mirror frames."
Rebecca smiled as she followed her out of the house. "I'm looking forward to it."

i disagree w a lot of this guys rankings but he described the feeling hoffman gives him as wanting to shave his head and join a monastery and not only is that hilarious but also i think i intrinsically understand

#i think his ranking methodology is flawed bc one of the categories is 0-10 on avoidablity even though a rigged game is a pretty common plot#point especially with amanda and hoffman which i think really thew off the rankings bc just bc a trap is rigged and a death is inevitable#doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good plot point.. like this lead to kerry’s angel which i would put in S just for iconicnes in C bc it was just#designed to kill her…. same thing made him bump down the pendulum from S to A.. also he put the freezing room trap in S for some reason whil#e the reverse bear trap was in C… hello? anyway the video was very funny but i question his judgement.. esp bc he likes spiral 😭

Xin's 3 Word Character Analysis
This is a simple way for me to study characters while setting up some sort of guide of what they are supposed to represent. It can be used for fiction writing or for playing the characters in RPGs. It's very simple really:
Take a character, any character.
Assign them 3 words that you would use to describe them. It can be any word. Noun, Verb, Adjective, etc... all it needs to be is 3 different words.
Explain individually, in detail, why you associate those words to that character.
That's it. It's that simple. Admittedly, the hard part of this method is choosing the words itself. Also, to keep in mind that the "3 words" the character represents would go unchanged. If its an ongoing story, it's fine if the words that define them changes. If anything, it adds on another layer of study as to why the words even changed.
The reason why it's only 3 words is that giving a character 1 word would make it feel one-dimensional, 2 would tend to fall into some sort of duality (which is a word you could apply in itself) and anything more than 3 feels excessive and looses the importance of keeping things simple.

Nofrontiere is a world where there are no necessary distinctions, a delirious world held together by hidden and shifting relationships between the multiple disciplines, cultures and perceptions that intersect in a special corner of Vienna. This multimaniac studio is an experimental zone where the flow of interaction reveals unexpected synchronicities. Through the illumination of these collisions in everyday life, Nofrontiere is able to respond to conditions conventional methods of design might misappropriate with derivative solutions.
In the Place of Coincidence, [co]Operating System 3.0, is a fusion of hybrid design methodologies and diverse visions and interpretations of our cultural morphoses. Within a vibrant labyrinth of idea spaces, random passages unravel the secrets of projects such as the award-winning Sigmund Freud CD-ROM: Archaeology of the Unconscious, the installations for the Jewish Museum in Vienna and the Europrix Mediatecture Event.

And now the rest of us know what the mad scientists are so mad about.
I remember someone saying "mad scientists in fiction aren't scientists because there's never a control group"
I think if you've created an elixir that turns people into goat men you have sort have gone past the need for a control group. The control group is not going to placebo themselves into goat men. You can probably not run the control group, and safely assume that none of them would have turned into goat men. That said, having a control group for that would make the mad scientist seem extra crazy and be really really funny, especially if he was carefully testing them for goat like features from the dyed water they drank instead of the elixir

What Role Do QA Services Play in Software Development?

QA services play an essential role in software development by ensuring we deliver reliable products that meet user needs. They help us identify problems early in the development process, which reduces the risk of failures later on. By establishing clear quality objectives, we enhance the overall quality and maintain our brand reputation. Plus, with various methodologies at our disposal, we can adapt to project needs. If you stick with us, you’ll discover more about the future of QA services.
Understanding the Importance of QA in Software Development

Quality assurance is central to successful software development. Through thorough testing and evaluation, QA services guarantee that a product is stable, functional, and meets all specified requirements.
A strong QA process reduces the likelihood of defects in the production environment and ensures a seamless experience for end users. Additionally, effective QA practices contribute significantly to maintaining brand reputation and boosting customer satisfaction.
In an increasingly competitive market, integrating QA from the early stages of development is essential for maintaining the highest standards of quality. By focusing on quality assurance throughout the development cycle, companies can ensure a more efficient and error-free product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities of QA Services

QA services take on several key responsibilities throughout the software development process:
Test Design and Execution: QA teams create and execute various tests to identify bugs and issues at every stage of development.
Adherence to Standards: QA ensures that all software meets established requirements, both functional and non-functional.
Stakeholder Collaboration: QA professionals work with other development teams to ensure that software features align with business goals and user expectations.
Documentation: Proper documentation of testing processes ensures transparency and accountability, fostering continuous improvement.
Post-Deployment Evaluation: After the product is launched, QA teams monitor performance to ensure the product remains reliable and performs well in the field.
By addressing these areas, QA helps deliver software that meets industry standards and user expectations.
Different QA Methodologies and Their Impact

Different QA methodologies greatly shape the software development process, influencing how we approach quality assurance. Each methodology, whether it’s Waterfall, Agile, or DevOps, brings unique strengths and challenges.
For instance, Waterfall’s linear structure suits projects with clear requirements but can limit flexibility. On the other hand, Agile promotes continuous collaboration and adaptation, allowing us to respond swiftly to changes.
DevOps integrates development and operations, emphasizing automation and continuous testing, which enhances efficiency and reduces errors. Additionally, methodologies like risk-based and exploratory testing help us focus on critical areas and uncover hidden issues.
Benefits of Implementing QA Services

Implementing QA services not only enhances the quality of our software products but also streamlines the entire development process. By defining quality objectives early on, we set clear benchmarks that guide our development efforts.
With QA integrated from the beginning, we can conduct code reviews and unit testing, which helps us catch issues before they escalate. During the testing phase, we validate software behavior through various methodologies, ensuring it meets user expectations and company standards.
After deployment, QA doesn’t stop; we focus on ongoing maintenance and incorporate user feedback for continuous improvement.
The Future of QA in Software Development

As software development methodologies evolve, so too does the role of QA. Automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are increasingly integrated into testing practices, making the process faster and more accurate. Automation reduces manual errors, speeds up the testing process, and enhances overall productivity.
Additionally, the increasing adoption of Agile and DevOps practices means that QA professionals are becoming more embedded in the planning and design stages of development. This ensures that quality is maintained at every phase of the software lifecycle, helping to prevent issues before they even arise.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Do QA Services Integrate With Agile Development Processes?

Again I know this is tumblr.com the fandom site so not really the ideal place to put this out there, but it's so frustrating seeing study after study concluding with the old "we need to replicate this", "we need to replicate this but BETTER (i. e. controlling for variables, bigger sample sized etc etc)" and then remembering yet again that trying to publish any replication study in the field I'm thinking of is at best very hard and at worst a complete waste of time. Like yeah, we're really committed to bad methodology here, we love not being taken seriously by the bigger scientific community, that's like our whole thing
#eng#vaguely#personal#god forbid we didn't try this new trailblazing angle/methodology/design instead of trying to replicate the old ones that our reasearch#is based upon & that had a total sample size of seven :)#ok i'm done
