didn't get the chance to work on the game for a handful of days, but im back to it :)
work on area 4 (which is very, very short) is almost done, and *might* be done by tomorrow!

⚠️ FLASH WARNING ⚠️
Since I cant put all 16 sprites on here I thought I’d just hand you guys the time lapse of me doin em since I did them all on different layers in one document, but!!! As you can see, I’m starting a fun project with my band ocs, a dating sim called Bandmates!!! I truly hope you all enjoy once it is eventually finished. Its a one man project, me alone doing art, writing, scripting, and possibly even the music!!! It wont be very long or hyper detailed i dont think, and is my first time ever attempting such a task, but I hope its still a fun experience, however long it may take! And if i only get the sprites done, well thats fine too!~ im not putting any deadline on this for myself, just going along with it slowly as an “outside of school” project to keep me busy!

Monsoon Games: Roadmap
I'll continue to tweak this rough roadmap according to the responses I get from the google form, but here's the plan (ideal-case) for the next 1-2 years!
If you haven't filled out the form yet, please do, as answers would be super valuable in helping me better gauge, prioritize, and budget my next steps as well as tweak the pricing for the tiers!
Phase 1: Now till end-2025
Full-time urban planner
Part-time game dev.
Likely to be mostly solo-work and choice-script based
Phase 2: Beginning 2026 till end 2026
Part/Full-time game dev
Likely to involve / bring in an artist/coder, depending on eventual decision on game format (ren'py, Godot or choicescript)
Phase 3: Beginning 2027
Launch phase 2 game
Re-evaluate what to do next, likely back to my full-time job, but to KIV this based on what happens in Phase 2

Phase 1a
Timeframe: now till end 2025
Scope: Keep rolling out choicescript updates for CT:OS and Merry Crisis. This will form the base of content for ko-fi/patreon (with subscribers continuing to get early-releases until these games are complete).
Phase 1b 
Timeframe: start sometime 2nd half of 2025, run concurrently till end 2025)
Scope: Write a choicescript 'concept demo' for 2 new games I've been haunted by over the past couple of years. (I'll release more info on this if I think they're viable). Whether or not they become more complex games, I'll at least have the choicescript demo. 
Phase 1c 
Timeframe: optional, but to start as soon as funding is obtained
Scope: Depending on interest, I want to consider doing a port to ren'py for Merry Crisis (or CT:OS, but likely MC) for a more visual-style game. This would involve either hiring a coder to help with the port, or doing it myself. More importantly, will need to commission art for this.

Monthly-subscriptions for both Phase 1a and 1b would include the following tiers: 
$3/month (existing): Just to support me :) 
$6/month (existing): Early-access links to CT:OS and Merry Crisis
$9/month (new tier): Same as above + Early-content (e.g. lore, character snippets & art, non-interactive stories, dev logs) for new game(s)
$12/month (might not go for this tier, but including just as a concept): Same as above + Expanded early-content (e.g. interactive choice-script based demo access)
Phase 2a
Timeframe: Beginning 2026, probably 6-9 months or more depending on scope
Scope: With CT:OS and Merry Crisis completed, I hope to then turn my sights to converting the choicescript demo created in phase 1b into actual complete games. This could either take the form of: 
A full choicescript game
A full ren'py (visual) game
A full Godot (2D) game
About 2-3 months into Phase 2a, I will also have enough content to launch a kickstarter, which would hopefully bring new backers on board and funds to speed-up production of the game(s). For folks who prefer supporting once-off instead, they'll also come in at this stage :) 
Phase 2b: 
Timeframe: Probably 6-9 months into 2026
Scope: Once there's a playable beta version of the game, I'll then do testing with subscribers and other beta-testers, and do de-bugging.

12 Wants For WHB
Disclaimer: This is completely my opinion and you are free to disagree. I am also not a game dev, so I do not know how easy or difficult these things would be to implement in game. Though, I have played a lot of gacha games, and many of the things I want do feature in other games, so I don’t think anything I say here is too unrealistic.
With that out of the way, here are some things that I want added or changed in WHB in no particular order. This is not an exhaustive list, but still ended up being way longer than I initially thought it would be.
Will edit parts as green if they are added into the game at some point.
Text Messages
I would like the bug that makes chats disappear to be fixed.
Chat replayability. You can already replay L Card chats, so I don’t think it would be too hard to implement that for regular chats.
Change chat time gate so that it works when the app is closed. Currently, you can only get a new text message after you spend 30 minutes in the app. I find this very annoying. I’m fine with waiting 30 minutes but I want to be able to close the app in the meantime. So, my idea is, once you log in for the day, the countdown starts even if you close the app, then once you open the app after 30 min you can read the chat, then the next countdown starts and so on and so forth.
Voice Calls
We don’t have these currently in the game, but I think any gacha game with a phone feature should have them included. This could implemented in a few ways. They could tie them to L Cards. Or it could be we get a new call like once a month or something. Then, maybe, some calls for special occasions like your birthday, his birthday, the launch anniversary, etc.
Home Page
It would be nice if we could change the expression on the demon’s face that we put on the home page. We can unlock expressions as we increase likability for the demons, so I’d like to be able to see those expressions on the home page.
They said at one point they’ll allow us to change the Satan icon on the Secret Club to different demons, which will be nice and I hope they implement that soon.
Artifacts
Better organization. I want to be able to organize by the same artifact, so I can easily see how many I have of each specific artifact.
Increased storage. Let us store more than 200 artifacts. I like to have lots of artifacts for fodder for other artifacts.
Weekly achievement. I think the achievement of raising artifacts by 20 levels each week is excessive. I keep having to raise artifacts that I’ll never use just to complete this achievement and it’s wasteful. Either reduce the number of levels needed or get rid of the achievement and replace it by an achievement for playing panty party or something like that.
Gacha
They recently changed it so you have a slightly increased rate for the demon that you pick on the gacha screen. This is nice, but I would prefer it if the increased rate was like 5% because the current 1% really is a negligible difference.
I would like banners of general pool L cards that use red keys, not solomon seals. Maybe they last a week twice a month or something like that. For example, Attacker Levi could be featured at the start of the month. That card and his artifact are the only L items that can be pulled from that banner. Using red keys, after 110 total pulls, you are guaranteed his artifact and, after 220 total pulls, you are guaranteed his card. This banner lasts a week. Then there is no banner for a week. Then, for example, Attacker Beel has a banner the third week. Then no banner, etc. I would also like the pity to carry over between these theoretical red key banners.
Currently, we can skip the entire gacha animation and pulled character showcase, if we didn’t pull an S rank or above. I want to be able skip it no matter what, unless I pull an L character.
Currently, the gacha animation flashes gold when you get an L Card or L artifact. I would prefer for the L artifact to flash a different colour, like pink for example. I’ve gotten my hopes up too many times seeing gold, thinking I got an L card, and then being disappointed as I instead got Satan’s hair for the 20th time.
Action Power
I would like to be able to come back at certain times of the day, for example, 12pm and 6pm, and get like 50 AP each time. This is a feature in many other gacha games.
I would also like the ability to watch ads for more AP. I know some people are against this type of thing, but I really don’t mind it as long as it’s not mandatory and is non-intrusive.
Translation
The translation is very poor compared to most other gacha games. There’s odd English syntax, a lot of typos, and seemingly missing words. I don’t even know what the characters are trying to convey at times and it really takes me out of the story. So I want them to hire some good English translators. If I could only get one thing on this list implemented into the game, it would be this.
Also I want them to do better about making sure to use the correct pronouns for the MC.
Panty Party
I feel like this feature could be improved a lot. Bring back gold panties in every level. Remove gold from the item list. Gold panties can give you advanced candy choice chest, whole pie choice chest, red keys, or solomon seals. Normal panties can give you beginners / intermediate candy choice chest, slice pie choice chest, pretzels, and gold keys. Also if you fail a level, you can choose to watch an ad to continue from that level if you want.
Events
I’m glad that they added quick plays to events.
The event tab needs to be separated from all other tabs, to always be easily able to select it. It was cumbersome when the Leraye event tab was combined with the limited achievement tab, lucifer gacha tab, and event replay tab. It would constantly switch between each tab, and you’d have to take extra time to switch back to the event tab.
For event replays, currently they cost a small amount to buy to replay. But as more and more events are added, that will be unsustainable. I think if you play an event, then for a certain amount of event currency you can purchase an event replay ticket to be redeemed later. If you didn’t play the event, then there can be other ways to get event replay tickets.
They should allow us to access the event shop for a couple days after the event ends. Just so we can focus on the event and then spend all the currency we earned after it ends.
I do think it is a good idea to use events to flesh out the universe and tell important stories pre-MC to not bog down the main story. However, I would like it if some of the events were MC focused. I would love to know more about how we’re adapting to Hell and interacting with others when we’re not being constantly forced to keep moving forward by the main story.
Pies
We need to have a way to farm pie slices and whole pies. I’m surprised the game has been out this long and they still haven’t introduced a way for us to get them more easily.
The amount of pie slices we need to increase a characters skills from level 4 to level 5 is 60, which is beyond excessive. I also don’t get why the jump between the amount of pies needed is so large. Going from needing 0 pies at level 4 to 60 pies at level 5 is odd game design. So, I think it should be reduced to 30 pies slices at most. For level 8, it should be 60 whole pies at most, not 160.
Characters
Another odd game choice is that the S characters need the exact same amount of materials to level up as the L characters. This doesn’t make sense as the S characters are generally less valuable gameplay-wise than the L ones. So why would I waste my precious resources on them, when for the same amount I could raise a much better L unit. Having S characters cost less than the L ones gives incentive to level them up.
This one is the least likely to ever happen, but I’d like for the A+ characters to have likeability rewards. It’s really nice being able to hear voice lines, change the expressions, and get some info on the S/L characters. I’d like to be able to do that for the A+ characters. Yes, it has been confirmed that A+ characters can get L versions, so then they would have expressions/voice lines available in that case. However, there’s no guarantee every single A+ rank will get an L version, and even if they did that could be years in the future. So I would like A+ characters to have a likeability section, but, to balance it out, the item rewards you get from them could be half of the S/L characters. For example, instead of 50 gold keys for a node, you get 25.
Miscellaneous
When they conduct maintenance, I’d like for them to give us more than just some AP. As an example, if they did maintenance for 2 hours, they should compensate us with 2 red keys, or 20 solomon seals.
I’d like to be able to quick play battles in the story chapters. If not unlimited, then at least 5 quick plays a day.
There’s a bug that places me at the beginning of a story chapter instead of where I should be at the end (the node to farm the candy chests). Then I have to scroll all the way to the end which actually takes quite a bit of time. I don’t know if this is affecting anyone else but it is affecting me and it’s annoying so I want it fixed.
When promoting a character or levelling up their skills above level 4 or completing a node on the unholy board that requires Solomons tears, pies or candies, I would like a window that pops up that asks if we’re sure that we want to consume those materials. I misclicked a few times, and that is a lot of resources to waste by accident. So I would like a pop up window to help prevent this.
With all that said, I truly like the premise of this game, the character designs, the VA performances, the art by Nori and the fact that this is an 18+ game aimed at men-loving people, which is a very rare thing. So I am glad it exists and hope that it succeeds. The wants I’ve listed here are just things that would increase my enjoyment even more.

Things I want for Momentary x Kiss (function-wise)
A map with the 6 date locations & gift shop
Functional gift shop (buy/sell/work at the shop)
Locations blacked out after date is completed
Gallery to show cutscene wallpapers
4 galleries for each character
A special gallery for the Best Ending
5 question trivia (+5 for each question right, -5 for each question wrong. +10 for the bonus questions)
Leaving a date will be an option, but will cost a -20 drop in relationship with the characters
Quiz will start after each date, a 10 second time will start for each question
Hot keys for easy navigation & gameplay (ex: I for inventory, M for map, P for phone, Ctrl+S for save)
Game slots for multiple save files
Opening animatic showing the plot of the game (possibly animated or at least some movement)
Money system/bank app to keep track of your money
Work at the gift shop for 8hrs ($15/hr), but once you finish your shift, all date locations will be closed (show a clock animation to show passage of time)
Inventory system, can carry only 12 items at a time
Custom tutorial/help screen to refer to
Character select screen after opening intro
Calendar system/day & night system
Relationship meter bar that shows your relationship to the character
Code certain items to that the characters like, these will boost your relationship with them
You can text the characters during the week, ask them questions about themselves. But they'll get annoyed if you ask the same question repeatedly
Prevent the player from using their phone or map during dates & quizzes
Things you learn about the characters will be logged on the Notepad app on your phone
You can give gifts during dates, but not during quizzes or at the end of the night
You can only give 3 gifts per date
When out on dates, the characters will ask you to order meals for them, the food you order will be in your inventory
You can't go to the gift shop for a date
Going to bed will trigger the end of the day
You can only go on dates on Saturday (the characters will say they're busy with the band the rest of the week)
Go to a 'special location' at the end of the 6th date, if relationship is high enough
Going to date locations by yourself doesn't trigger wallpapers
Certain ways you respond to the character's questions/statements can boost or lower your relationship with the characters
Keep in mind: I DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CODING IN REN'PY!! But I do know it's not impossible to code these things & implement them into Momentary x Kiss.
There are a lot of youtubers I follow that have a lot of great tutorials about Ren'Py/Python coding that already tackle these functions.
My goal is to avoid Feature Creep (when a game dev adds too many unnecessary features/functions to a game that don't relate to the main quest/plot of a game).
I want small functions that limit certain things, but also give players room find new ways to play the game. I wanna encourage you guys to play smarter & not harder.
It's going to be a while until I get to the point where I'm ready to code, but I want to at least share what you can/can't do in Momentary x Kiss

Autoplay Mode is now available! Players can now sit back and enjoy the story at a comfortable reading pace.
History log has been added. You can now view the previous conversations you have had.

Ryota now correctly refers to the player's chosen name instead of displaying "MC" during the fight with Mom. 💔
Adjusted text positioning in the Temple scene on Day 4 so the Monk’s dialogue stays within the textbox.
Resolved an issue which caused Ryota's Interaction on Day 4 to bug out.
Resolved an issue which caused Haruki’s Interaction on Day 3 to bug out.
Cultists no longer say 'respect' incorrectly.
Window Interaction no longer causes the game to crash.
Ren will no longer crash the game after a certain Day 3 interaction.
Gallery will no longer reset upon starting a new game.
Mini charas are now slightly larger.
Haruki will now address you by name in a certain interaction and will no longer disrespect you by calling you 'MC'. 💔

Many players have given us feedback that they struggle with the rhythm and slot machine minigame segments. We're working on tweaking them to be easier and less clunky. (Psst, here's a tip for the rhythm game from one of our programmers: "Just spam all the buttons for now." 😅)

Character name purge together with 7.6 update?!
[You can read full article by going to the link. I'm only posting some.]
"As part of Update 7.6, Broadsword will be purging the names of inactive characters on unsubscribed accounts. Your status as a Free to Play, Preferred, or Subscriber can determine how much you get impacted by this coming update.
The goal of this name purge is to open up more names for new characters to use. You’ll have until the release of 7.6 in early December to get your toon names sorted, so take a few minutes to preserve the names of your characters!
This specific purge is a one-off, but the devs have expressed interest in making it more of a regular thing. It will likely involve unsubscribed players only getting to hold onto their names for a year, but that bit is just speculation on our part.
Who is Affected by the 7.6 Character Name Purge
If you are a F2P or Preferred player, any characters you haven’t logged into since January 1, 2024, will have their names flagged as available when 7.6 is released. If you want to preserve your character names, simply log onto SWTOR and log into each character with names you want to keep before 7.6 launches.
Don’t forget to log into characters on multiple servers to preserve their names if the former applies to you.
If you’re an active Subscriber at 7.6’s launch (likely to be on December 10th, yet unconfirmed), you don’t need to worry about a thing. All your character names will be preserved. Yes, the devs are kind of treating this as another incentive to subscribe. To be clear, this update only affects inactive toon names, not legacy names as those are not unique, and the toons themselves aren’t getting deleted.
What happens to your character if their name is claimed by someone else
If you don’t log into your inactive characters or subscribe by the time 7.6 launches, your inactive characters may have to be renamed. Characters that have not been logged into since before 2024 will have their names made available to the general population.
This does not mean you’re guaranteed to lose the name if you haven’t logged in or subscribed, but if someone else decides to take it, you will then have to rename the toon.
We recommend you take the necessary precautions by logging into your inactive characters before 7.6 launches or subscribing for the month.
How this affects F2P and Preferred Status Players
If you’re a F2P and Preferred Status player, you will need to prioritize which characters with names you want to keep. This is due to the limited number of active characters per server you are allowed to have.
F2P players can have 4 active character slots per server
Preferred Status players can have 12 active character slots per server".
Wait. 12? I'm pretty sure my active character limit is 14? WTF? I was about to sub for the update anyway to get a mount so it's not an issue, but it could be an issue in the future if they don't clarify it.

OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH HGJGTFH GUYS I LOVE SOTE SO FUCKING MUCH AAAAAAA I got back to playing it and it was so much fun today I HAD A HUGE BLAST TODAY GOD LET ME JUST share a log (probably a two parter)
1) So I continued on my way through the woods!! I was not wrong about how these guys were invincible too! By that time @val-of-the-north woke up and confirmed that you only really can sneak past them by crouching in the bushes! In fact, there were preset notes from the devs with the hints and I just haven't payed attention.. т.т So the stealth quest took me Eniugh attempts
2) I intentionally got close to this plant because from the looks of it I thought it was a collectable material or something:

Turned out that it actually was a bell that instantly alerts the Untouchables and attracts you to them ;-; Well you fuck around and find out I guess XD
3) I then found the mansion!!!! This took me a while too, this forest is SO confusing! I will never EVER talk shit about Forbidden Woods from Bloodborne again ;-; But on the bright note, although I am extremely bad at confusing open world locations and maps in general, I managed to strain my mind and actually remember which turns I've already visited and not! Conquering my weaknesses!
4) I was surprised to find..... this

There is a line of headless corpses like this before the entrance. I assume their heads exploded from Frenzy of course?
5) Instantly was interested because of the amount of thrown and burnt books everywhere here! I was thinking, so was Midra a huge nerd then? 🤔 How the painting was the only non-ruined and unburnt thing here was cool too. I told Val "damn the art in this setting really IS the magic".. and, well, it kinda is? When you examine the paintings in artist shacks, they do mention how the soul is dwelling in them still or something like that

6) The painting also depicted the Manse when it was still thriving and the land wasn't afflicted by Frenzied Flame!

I wanted to take a better screenshot of it by zooming in...... and accidentally hit it instead and it disappeared 🤡 It was an invisible wall! I swear only I could have failed in such a dumb way gfhggvn
7) THIS IS A SURPRISE TOOL THAT WILL HELP US LATER:

Turns out that this is an in-universe hint for how the Aging Untoucheable actually CAN be killed! But perhaps I am getting ahead of myself.... -_-
8) So basically 'how there are THIS many books everywhere' continued. They are literally everywhere. And then even more because there is a library. Damn, this guy could compete with Micolash on the subject of 'insanity displayed by books tossed everywhere chaotically'!! I was already curious!
9) Speaking of curious, I really wondered why Midra himself didn't have the horns! From prior descriptions and a dialogue by another ghost by how they and Midra are of the same brethren as the Hornsent inquisitors that hunted them, I assumed he should have been the Hornsent himself and maybe earlier I didn't see it clearly on the portrait. Heck, the ghosts in the Manse also have horns!

But nope. There were no horns on the portrait, and then I was extra sure during the cutscene..
10) aaaaand I fucked up and COMPLETELY forgot to take the screenshots during his battle ;-; When I got to this post I thought maybe I snapped some during my many deaths, but no I didn't. I forgot. I got too caught into it..
11) I already heard that he would be a boss, so when I first met him as just an enemy I needed to kill I knew it was just a lead up for the battle xd Though I didn't dodge his grab attack in time and it felt.. odd when he howevered over Tarnished and laughed already 🤔 And.... siiiggh..
12) friends: Katy Katy Katy oh my god you really should find the Frenzy guy in the DLC you will like him so much we just can tell!!!
me: Get LOST with this guys, I am not interested in some random guy parasiting on Shabriri lore, besides unlike you CASUALS I do not simp for taken characters so he can get kicked into the same nonsimpable box as Rykard and Rellana! Also, still picturing you guys as CASUALS, no Aldrich married to Rosaria is different as it isn't simping but reverence!!!
me: *spends next ~40 minutes being absolutely lost in this boss' vibe to the point of literally drooling, gets overall absolutely helpless and just watches his dance-like moves and legit can't recall a more intimate experience with a Soulsborne boss. it wasn't this way even with Maria.*

13) No, but seriously though.. My initial reaction was a slight annoyance! I ran to Val complaining that I deadass had no idea how the HECK I could survive even a couple of his attacks! I just felt so incompetent after several quick failed attempts, even saying that it seemed like I've reached the point where I have to watch the vids of the bosses I could not beat to know what happens next!
No, Val didn't tell me to git gud, no gfggf He should have though He just gave me a hint that the bleed might help! So I went to change strategy again and reborn with a bigger healthbar and overall different states, took Mohg's spear the old reliable, used talisman of Cleanrots that powered up continuous attacks + Mohg's one that made bleed stronger and went with it. It was really hard, but I had no choice but to adapt
And like... I know that "this battle feels more like a dance once you get into it" is a compliment thrown around very often with Soulsborne bosses, but this boss deserved it the MOST I swear. It is impossible to put into words how I was starting to feel over time, just.. inexplainable beauty in how he was moving for attack, you could tell he was enjoying it :') I didn't feel the same level even with Malenia's battle! The way this battle felt weirdly intimate also absolutely fits the way Frenzied Flame functions; one of the incantations refers it too? And the way his movements and grabs were weirdly calming considering the context felt the same as what was earlier stated about Chaos bringing sense of peace after burning victim's eyes! Just how, HOW they made it so good? They've nonverbally put the same information into this encounter. And the music was absolutely the biggest banger, what the fuck?
14) Okay I can write much more paragraphs trying to grasp what exactly was this feeling and still not be able to overcome my complete lack of verbal communication skills lol gghggh I start to understand why @heraldofcrow at times can't put her feelings into words and uses that gif of sad girl in the rain gfggjhnh
15) Still, the battle was beautiful but HARD! I decided to call @jarognieva to help me and while she needed "just three minutes" to get ready I decided to go and kill time by still trying to defeat Midra anyway, and.....

16) .....and satisfaction left in literal seconds. Instead I felt so devastated and angry at the fact that there are no boss resurrection option in this game. :/ While I was struggling with him it felt so hard, although I wasn't giving up and studied his patterns... But instantly I felt regret about defeating him too fast and no longer getting to have that fun with that incredible music... Experienced reverse of Skill Issue, basically.

18) To think of it, Midra as Lord of Frenzy is as much a himself as Malenia is herself when she turns into Goddess of Rot though 🤔 The vibe before and after is different. Both characters are very much on their way to become husks of former selves, or rather, vessels for a different entity that represents an Outer God! (+ funnier how Shabriri and Gowry likewise have identical functions as "bringers" of this godly figure but not becoming it)
.......but that makes it even more captivating 😳

Debian 12 w KDE Plasma let's go~~~
I've got no idea why I didn't like KDE before tbh.... cause trying it now, its kinda nice~~~ last time I tried it was idk how long ago.... when I started messing around with linux to begin with.
It, unlike xfce, has a software updater so I don't need to use the terminal on debian~~~ it looks really snazzy tbh.
last time I used it was idk how long ago..... a decade ago? and I guess now it's just Plasma and not KDE anymore? ??
annoying problem that I fixed~~~~ also for some reason the icons and stuff on my second hard drive have reverted back to dev/sda for my main OS partition and dev/sdb for where all the rest of my data is... and idk why~~~ but the lock icons on everything in that drive is gone~~ and idk what fixed it......
also time.... the date and time was incorrect and i had no idea why given I've selected the proper time zone.... I was just really confused and idk why.... but now I did and it's fixed~~ I had to change the BIOS time to UTC
and since there's no "sync w internet" and you need EXACT SECONDS now the time is slightly off cause I didn't time it down to the second.... but putting my BIOS time into UTC instead of local time fixed it~~~
also still don't know exactly why I can and could get debian to boot and install perfectly fine on my machine even with secure boot and the like from a windows install still on. when linux mint debian edition just.... wouldn't......
stupidly simple fix but I'm happy to have figured it out myself~~~ hope I like KDE more than I did a decade ago. idk why I didn't like it that far back... maybe it was worse? or there was too many customize options and it paralyzed me?
but now I like it so far~~~~ wonder if I can do it up like windows xp/95? lol. throw myself into customize options of KDE and be lost here forever :)
slowly figuring stuff out and my preferences in the linux world~~ idk why I liked xfce..... the KDE log in screen is nicer and more sleek and modern~~~
will gnome stuff work with kde? if I install gnome games? I always install gnome games and then never play any of them lol I mean I'd assume they would but idk~~

still have no idea why pure debian is able to load with secure boot on (permanently now I guess) and linux mint wasn't able to despite it being debian as well.... but debian 12 works so neat~~~~
bad thing tho about the "swipe to go back" is that I keep almost doing that while trying to scroll down~~ could just use the arrow keys but got so used to using the touchpad to scroll ...

The Festival - Developer Log 12, 2/23/2025
Hello once again!
Following up from the incremental changes I mentioned in the last devlog, I have reworked the intro sequence for the game from its rough, initial state. You can watch a quick playthrough of the intro here:

The intro song is based off of Pete Seeger's Solidarity Forever, which in turn is based off Battle Hymn of the Republic. It was composed by Faith last semester, and we're both glad to see how well it ultimately works for the introduction as it is here.
Among numerous other things I have reworked, I have also changed the location and circumstances in which the player encounters Helvan Dynicus, the businessman encroaching upon Hemmingward.
In the original game, you ran into him as he was hanging outside the temple, the meeting place for you and the Elderwomen. While I included a narrative reason for this being the case initially, I decided it still felt weird to have just standing there as you first walked up to the temple. It was also entirely possible to miss talking with him, which is an element of the game I wanted to play with intentionally, but I believed it created too many other complications that would have to be accounted for in other parts of the story.
To that end, I decided to have him meet you on the road into town. You and Gil find his car parked right in the middle of the road, and you have to, politely or rudely, ask him to move his car out of the dang way.
The biggest reason I took the intro in this direction was because it forced a confrontation with Helvan Dynicus, and in a more creative setting. The thought of him blocking your path into town was also a good way to hint that this guy does not take the wellbeing of others into consideration, which will be pivotal much later in the story.
That said, there's a lot of other details I wish to change overtime, and in the near future. While I'm really happy with the typewriter effect, I don't know how I feel about either the 'writing' sound effect, or the current font, which may be way too small and skinny to read effectively.
While my exact schedule for work is up in the air this moment, I will be focusing the brunt of my efforts on the rest of Act I. Given my progress so far, I already have the assets and most of the script built out for everything here. As such, I am hoping reworking what I already have will be less time consuming overall.
There’s still a long road ahead – for both this final semester, and for this project overall, but we press on all the same.
On an unrelated note, I am posting this dev log right around the time that Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine three years ago.
While the political situation right now is incredibly murky, with our current administration attempting to coerce Ukraine into surrendering, I want whoever reads this to know that I stand with the people of Ukraine, and I wish them peace and prosperity on *their* terms.

So, with the changes to the points, if you're able to get all nodes everyday for the event you will be able to get the SSR Memory Card & UR Devil Card without using the cheat cards. The problem is getting all the nodes. It's still like 744AP a day to get all the nodes.
Extremely Questionable Math Below Cut
*Assuming F2P here, Max Stamina and full active friends list. If you log w/ full AP at reset (12PM) you'll have 100 AP. Then you'll get 50 AP from friends, 30 from dailies and 30 from Fridge Mission for 210AP. If you log in at the 6pm fridge mission reset then you get 30 more AP and you'll have another 70 AP~ from regen. Then you have 50 AP from watching ads. And if want to stay up till midnight that'll get you regenerate 70 AP~ (and if you stay up till/wake up at 6am that's another 70 AP but the next day you'll only have 70 AP when you log in). So, if you're really maximizing it you get 430AP. Which is still half of what you need. You, also, have a chance of getting 10AP from Surprise Guests (needed for the dailies). If you get the bonus AP from the run out then that's another 200 AP a day (12 hrs) (and D Energy) for 630 a day which almost there for what you need to get all the nodes. The problem is that if you're F2P then it's not feasible to get it everyday because it's 20 DP in NB and you get 18 DP a day from dailies (and, because it's a pop up even if you could get 20 DP-a-Day it's possible you miss it unless you play extremely carefully). I mostly bring all this up because 1) The Devs need to make the bonus AP not a pop-up but a countdown that spawns when you run out of AP 2) Make it's cost match what it is in OG (10 DP) because that's more affordable for F2P/low spenders (and it's not like their isn't a trade off in using your DP for AP refills instead of gacha). 3) Find a way to fill the 114 AP gap consistently. Like you can save AP to use when your reserves run dry but what about when that's all gone? Hopefully my numbers aren't too wrong. It's possible I fucked up because math was (and still is) my worst subject. Also, obviously, this is a single day. Not over the course of an event. It's too much effort to do over a whole 12(?) days for me RN especially account for hoarding AP before the event/etc.
