Meet-cute prompt:
"I accidentally punched you in the face when I was trying to punch a different guy in the face I am so sorry" AU
Lavi gets drunk at a bar and meets a beautiful stranger.
I have to be awake to go to work in two hours but I can't sleep, figured I'd babble on here for a moment.
If you've seen me on the D.Gray-Man tag, you maybe recognize me as the utter maniac shipping Miranda with Sheril, with an absolutely massive fanfic on Ao3 expressing my emotions.
Well I was thinking the other day about the reason I found the idea so fascinating.
I already had one reason, which was; Miranda interacting with an openly flirtatious character would be hilarious, and I'm disappointed Hoshino never once had Cross notice her. Noise is nice, but Hoshino won't even confirm they're a thing, much less have him say anything directly flirty.
Which brings me to the other reason I like a theoretical Miranda/Sheril pairing.
Hoshino really felt the need to prettify, to round and smoothify Noise, presumably to pair him with Miranda, when she could have left his face the way it was.
Like, now there's a point where he's really cute during the Alma flashback that takes place nine years ago, then he looks tough and hardened during the main story line up until somewhere around Lulubell's attack, where he then looks cute again.
She should have kept his face! I'm not calling him ugly, either, original Noise was still attractive, just unique for not being as pretty as most of the main Exorcists! He looked fine, and it would have been a great dynamic between him and Miranda, but when Hoshino prettifyed him, it just wasn't interesting to me anymore.
That's why Sheril was the next person to come to mind. He's got stereotypical "crazy evil bastard" written all over him, the only information Hoshino has given away about him is that he intentionally looks like a pervert and a snake, he's so not hot but in less than 10 chapters he's somehow convinced quite a few of us that he is? That's how you write charisma!
Of course I had to pair our poor, anxious, sweetheart Miranda with Scumbag Politician Boyfriend?!
Sorry that this got long, I just have so many emotions about them as a concept! Which is why my Trilogy is being expanded into a Quartet.
It's Kanda and Allen with bodies exactly like in canon (except for supernatural shit), but calling this M/M at this point is a bit-- eh. Still, yeah. M/M.
Lavi and Bookman had been captured by the Noah Family in the midst of the holy war. Bookman somehow manages to escape, but Lavi is still stuck in the Residence with the Noah Family, and here he finds himself in the company of Tyki.
Very late submission for D.Gray-Man Rare Pair Week 2023. (Thanks for hosting, @dgrayrarepair!)

Chapters: 1/1.
Summary: He should have known to be wary. After all, Tyki was a Noah — someone to be feared. Someone to be cautious of.
But, his touch was so gentle. And Alma wanted to badly to be touched.
Excerpt:
Fingers brushed against his cheek, Alma looking up. He was somewhat confused, not because Tyki was caressing him — but because Tyki’s touch was so gentle. Tender.
It was nothing like how his touches had been before.
Allen was alive. Yuu was alive. Lenalee was alive.
Bookman Junior repeated it to himself over and over and over again in the hopes that one day it might stick—that one day he’d be able to look at them again and not see a corpse staring back at him.
Allen was alive. Yuu was alive. Lenalee was alive.
“Lavi? Did you hear me?”
Lavi blinked back. “Eh?”
Lenalee sighed, as if exasperated, but her eyes were pinched in concern. To her side, Kanda tsk’d. “You’ve been very distracted lately, often lost in thought. Is there something on your mind?”
Lavi laughed lightly, his voice oddly hollow. “It’s nothing, Lenalee, I was just thinking about Allen and his stalker; Do you think he follows him to the bathroom, too? What about the shower? Afterall, he’s supposed to be watching Allen 24/7 apparently—”
“—Lavi!” Lenalee exclaimed, flushing. Kanda’s face twisted like he’d tasted something sour.
“What, what?” Lavi laughed, “I’m kidding!”
Lenalee puffed her cheeks and squinted, visibly weighing her options. Kanda, as if sensing her change in mood, rearranged his face into something more serious. Lenalee sighed, her mind made up. Meanwhile, Lavi tensed, his shoulders imperceptibly rising and his jaw clenching.
“Lavi,” she began, but he cut her off.
“Lenalee—”
“No.”
Lavi shut his mouth. Kanda, as vocal as ever, huffed.
“You’ve been off ever since we got back from the Ark—”
Lavi scoffed, defensive. “And who hasn’t? Almost all of us basically died for a bit—”
“Lavi, I’m serious. It’s different with you. The way you look at us sometimes, it’s like—”
Lavi flinched. “Like what.”
Lenalee winced, suddenly subdued. “It’s like… It’s like you’re seeing right through us—like we’re not even there. Like we’re nothing but…ghosts, to you.”
Blinking slowly, Bookman Junior felt all of the emotion he’d been feeling until then suddenly wash from his body and mind with the force of a tidal wave. Blink. “Don’t be ridiculous, Lenalee.” His smile felt painted on. “I’m looking right at you,” he said, making pointed eye contact with her.

Day Five - Free Day
Summary: Allen is asked to take care of a bunny that was, for some reason, in the science department by Komui. Not sure why he was the one asked, surely there are better things for an exorcist to do, Allen agrees.
He finds himself enjoying looking after the sweet rabbit but maybe there was something Komui forgot to tell him.
Excerpt:
"You... wanted to see me?" Allen asked, his gaze drawn back to the rabbit as it hopped around to face him, its nose wiggling. It took all of Allen's willpower not to start cooing at how adorable the fluffy creature was.
The rabbit was beautiful. It had sleek, bright red fur with a few tufts flicking out wildly and gorgeous, bright green eyes. Allen hadn't been aware that rabbits could have green eyes but what caught his attention, and concern, more was that it kept its right eye closed. Had the poor thing lost it?
Komui stood from his chair and walked around his desk, carelessly stepping on the papers that carpeted the floor. "Yes, I have an important job for you," he said in the tone he reserved for tough missions. Instinctively Allen straightened and waited for Komui to continue, though when he sweeps a hand in the direction of the bunny he sagged in confusion. "I need you to look after this little guy."
One of Fae’s beautiful Tyki x Alma fics. I love this one and couldn’t stop from myself from binding it. Sent this copy to the author, but I’ll have to make myself a copy, too. :3c

Summary:
Nea had a little bit of an obsession. He would never admit it to anyone but himself, but he did. It was something that just seemed to grow over time, entirely against his will, and had taken a while for him to come to accept. But he did. He did have a ridiculous, annoying obsession.
An obsession in the form of one Howard Link.
It was bad, too. Almost as bad as Link’s obsession with Allen Walker.
