Danganronpa Boys x Shy!F!Reader

Characters: Mondo Owada, Byakuya Togami & Kazuichi Souda

Word Count: 656

☆Mondo Owada would always stay close to you incase you trip, and when you do he catches you before you hit the floor, holding you close to him and making sure you're okay. With your low self-esteem he makes sure to tell you that you're beautiful, gorgeous, smart, incredible and all of the above. He makes sure that you know that he wants and loves you for you and not your looks and that he really does love you and all of your flaws.

He also doesn't mind your stuttering, he tells you that it's okay and to take your time, he doesn't mind waiting for you to tell him what's on your mind. He's also fairly patient and thinks your shyness is adorable, how you blush when you're nervous and how you turn your head away from him when you get slightly embarrassed. He loves it all and loves all of you.

☆Byakuya Togami doesn't really stay as close to you like Mondo. He stays in his space, but when you trip and fall into a revealing pose he's immediately by your side and covering you up with his jacket. He'd glare at any person laughing or looking at you. He'd deal with your low self-esteem by also giving reassurance. If you think a certain outfit would make you feel more confident in the way you look then he'd buy it for you, he feels as though if something makes you feel better about yourself or if a certain clothing brand would make you feel confident in your skin then he'd buy it immediately just for you.

But that doesn't mean he'd do it all of the time. He'd sit you down and have a heart to heart with you, he'd ask you why you think so badly about yourself and help you overcome that feeling and he'd keep doing it until you can look in the mirror and whole heartedly appreciate yourself. Now, with your stuttering. He's not a patient person, but he'd try to be and he's trying really hard to be patient. It's a work in progress but he's progressing really well, overtime he became extremely patient and would much rather wait for you to speak before speaking himself. Let's be honest, your shyness is what drew him close to you. I don't make the rules, he absolutely loves your shyness and the habits you do. Would he actually say this out loud? Hell no. But everyone with eyes can tell that he's absolutely smitten about you.

☆Kazuichi Souda is like Mondo, always around you and by your side. If you trip he'd catch you, but he's also pretty clumsy himself so he'd fall on top of you. But his body is covering you so anyone that passes by just thinks he stumbled onto you, which embarrasses you both even more. But as long as you're covered and not in any revealing pose, he's fine with getting teased about falling on you. If I'm being honest I think he'd absolutely suck at helping you with your low self-esteem only because he has the same problem. He'd try to help but he's scared that he'd accidentally make it worse. So your best bet is for the both of you to help each other and grow together.

When you stutter he finds it adorable and mentions it when you do which causes you to stutter even more. Same goes for your shyness, he loves it and it's what made him fall for you. He never saw anyone so cute in his life and so he immediately fell head over heels for you, even though he never actually spoke to you. But when he did he almost passed away because just looking at your already pinkish cheeks and how you slightly turn away when speaking just made his heart speed up. He's literally so in love with you, no one can even fathom the amount.

Omg just watched episode 2 of Distant Lands & I'm screaming.

Now, don't get me wrong, I definitely shipped Bubbleline before, but this episode had me INVESTED!!!!

Am I correct in seeing the friendship between glass boy & See Through princess as a parallel to Finn & Bubblegum's early friendship? Like tall, beautiful royal that's bogged down by her duty vs small, younger(?), disabled (which Finn later ends up becoming), blue boy who starts feeling dismissed/not taken seriously by his older(?) friend & wants to help/be a hero despite not having any powers (ok, so Finn has lightning amuinty, but that didn't come till much later)? Plus, there's the whole fire monster trying to kill him only for it to turn out to not be so bad, like when flame princess was introduced, & turning into (what looks to me like) some kind of a butterfly at the end, which we know was one of the things Finn was reincarnated as in a past life.

Those royal helpers (or whatever they're called) suck ass.

This is the major Bubblegum betrayal that I've been hearing about? Omg you have to be kidding. Like, I'm not saying you HAVE to love her as a character, but you really had me scared she was gonna do something absolutely twisted & it turned out to be.....this? Like, don't get me wrong, her reasoning wasn't the best & it was definitely bad of her to keep it from Marcleline, but do we really want characters without flaws & why are some fans seemingly convinced that Bubblegum is the sole AT character (especially out of her & Marcleline) that has any? Like the episode litrually gives us serval scenes from both of their POV's to show us that they each have good & bad qualities, streaths & weaknesses, baggage/insecurities & don't always handle everything the best way (especially in the past) but that they clearly love each other & are now in a much better place. Where they are willing to learn & grow & be vunrable by actually talking things out & apologising if they do something that hurts the other. Also wasn't, overcoming past hurts that are impacting your current, hard earned happiness by realising that you can't always be right/win all the time & that it's not always worth it if it means loosing what really matters to you, a huge part of the theme of the episode?

When it first saw him, it was probably so happy to know that someone like it existed & then was so hurt that Glass Boy was trying to change himself to be like everyone else.

Can I just say I like Freddy and Mike's dynamic.

I like Freddy a lot in Creations because he's like, so NOT fannon Freddy in all the ways that hits me in the "Aww yeah that's good shit" way. X'D

He's a flamboyant full of gender slut that is scared of ghosts despite BEING A POSSESSED ROBOT lmfao. His design just hits my brain in a nice way too. He's so cute.

He gives sassy drag queen vibes and I like him.

I am not really a fan of fannon Freddy unless it's like super specific circumstances.

I'm going to dip into "I hate this trope" territory but keep in mind you are not obligated to write around my preferences. Or even force yours to fit mine. That'd be dumb. Write what makes you happy I'm just talking about shit I don't enjoy personally.

If you're going with him being possessed by a child, which a LOT of people do to stay cannon it makes ZERO sense for him to be a sensible leader type unless you like GIVE HIM A REASON? Which most people don't. Most people also make him a bitch which I hate.(And not in a campy gay bitch way like Creations Freddy that makes the queer part of me laugh and relate to) I'm not sure I understand the idea of making Freddy so damn unlikable in a story based on the franchise ABOUT HIM??? Like...It's so fucking overdone I'm sorry lmfao be a bit more damn creative. Don't be lazy? Give him a damn personality outside of "Cunt for no reason with a stick up his ass" like? Idk? Be FUN with him! Does he feel the NEED to be the leader because he's designed that way by the company? Does the stress EAT at him? If you DO go the route of making him posessed by a child: Did he feel the need to grow up and act more adult. How often does he fail at this task? What are the consequences? People's bad writing makes me think of reasons for him that aren't in the text 99% of the damn time. Quite frankly: I am not a fan of popular fnaf comics. Like any of them. X'D They feel really soul-less a lot of the time in a way I can't quite describe...

A lot of the creators hate working on them, hate their fanbase and hate the games past a certain point so that's probs why lmfao. I've gotten pissed at the fans on Webtoon, and gotten pissed at how much of a slog some scenes and I've considered quitting once or twice, but never cause I hated the actual games, or the comic and story of Creations, just cause some scenes are annoying to work on from a writer's perspective or cause people misinterpreted the story so bad they had no clue what was going on. I fucking love FNAF and wanted to make a fan story that you could tell came from a place of love.

Here's some pitfalls to avoid:

Don't start hating your own characters. It will hurt your writing. I've noticed LOTS of FNAF comic makers start to hate their own damn characters. PUT. THE. COMIC. DOWN. I AM SERIOUS.

If you start to despise your own work. STOP. TAKE A BREAK. REFELCT. Maybe it won't be PERMINENT but until you can sort out what your deal is STOP.

You are doing NO ONE favors by continuing to the point you start actively shit talking everyone and everything that comes into contact with this story that way.

If you noticed: I STARTED FALLING INTO THAT SHIT. OH GOD BLACKSTAR HAS FLAWS! O.O

Me doing THIS, talking about how I love my own comic appreciating how much time and work I put into it: all the goofy fun stuff I put in as easter eggs the characters ex, was a way to reinvent my feelings towards this comic because I WANT TO FINISH IT and it's helped a lot. FIND JOY IN THE PROCESS OF CREATION. ;)

If you aren't liking FNAF as much as you used too: Literally just go back and watch smth you liked about it before. The ruin DLC sparked my shit back into gear, watching old lets plays and listening to fan music also helped. Just. Idk. Engage with the thing you're making a damn comic about? Like, find out what you loved to begin with.

I have like 4+ comics I work on in rotation when I'm not in the mood to work on one. Variety helps me too.

Another thing I'd advise against: Don't make a big diaper baby blow out scene about "Leaving" a fanbase. It's fucking embarrassing. If you don't feel the spark, you don't feel it. That's FINE. As an autistic person: My interests change like a girl changes clothes.

But don't literally shit your pants and make a scene about it people will look back at you as the person who shat their pants in front of everyone and embarrassed themselves.

If you're asking yourself "Is star talking about X artist?" honey I'm talking about at least 4 different ones I've seen do this exact thing and I got second hand embarrassment every time. If you resent the popularity you got from certain fanbases: I'm sorry the best thing to do is move on. Yes. Again I speak from experience. (Not FNAF, but a different fanbase)

If you don't get as much recognition on your OG works: Tough shit I'm sorry that's how it is. As someone who does OC comics I've accepted "Some people just won't read this cause FNAF isn't attached, and that's okay. I am the same way. You cannot expect people to love everything you create"

As a child/teen, watching actual adults do this shit made me the person I am today but deciding: "Nah that's dumb, I am getting second hand embarrassment and I am not behaving that way"

Childishness is something big artists need to learn is a problem before they get big. Temper tantrums aren't a cute look for anyone.

It's okay to get in over your head with shit. Just try to be calm about things here's things that overtime I've learned help me cope with huge projects:

They're meant to be fun. If you aren't having fun: Figure out why and change it. You aren't obligated to finish them. You can always come back. Another reason to not "shit your pants" as I call it. People will love to see more from your comic if you put it down and come back. :) It's more embarrassing to shit your pants and then come back like you never did and try to keep going. Keep doors open if you would. My "Shit your pants" moment singlehandedly keeps me away from one fandom lmfao avoid it if you can. Try not to be a cunt about the thing that GOT you popular. You will look like a class act clown I guarantee it. If people don't understand your comic and that is causing frustration, I genuinely advise making a "Director's commentary" style thing like this. It's a lot of fun. X'D And it might give people perspective into your madness.

I'm sad to this DAY people don't use Funtime Foxy's voice mimic mechanic in fan content. THAT'S AWESOME.

I like the trap mechanic and how it's used again for the twisted ones. It's such a great idea to make a robot that's friendly on the outside but is basically a fucking iron maiden on the inside. Like DAMN. THAT GOES SO HARD!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! :D

Also all the short jokes have a purpose: Mike's small enough to fit inside Funtime Freddy. Because he's built to capture kids.

Something I worry about with Funtime Freddy:

He is a FAN FAVORITE In Creations. Like. People like him. A LOT.

I made a lot of side comics with him and Bon Bon. Where Bon Bon is his emotional support bunny rabbit. People really liked that. Because Funtime Freddy was showing relatable autistic behavior (He struggles with shit I do lmao.)

I'm worried about 'Ruining' his character for people hah.

Sadly, I don't have many ideas about Sampo's and Seele's dynamic since I'm not really familiar with Seele as a character.

If I'm being honest I have a slight distaste for her. She's not an awfully written character, don't get me wrong. But she did not click with me at all. I found her a bit annoying, or, more specifically, insulting? I don't know I found it a bit infuriating that she just assumes anyone that lives in the Overworld hasn't worked a day in their life.

I get that it's a character flaw but it's never truly addressed in the game? Sure they mention it but the belief is never truly challenged. Anytime she meets someone from the overworld assumes the worst until she's either proven wrong, the person isn't even from Belobog or they are secretly from the Underworld.

As much as I don't agree with how the game handles Seele it does give me an opportunity to explore her character better in my fanfic so that's a plus.

If I have to write down right now how their relationship works in my mind, I'll have to say it's like a step-dad you hate but gives solid advice and teenage girls that is trying to be her own person, figure out her life and keeps fucking up by assuming she knows everything.

Seele's feelings towards Sampo are pretty complicated because yes, he did help get medicine and the Underworld wouldn't be what it is without him but he is also so infuriating because he can do so much more but he refuses to do so. The way she sees him, Sampo has potential, he could be a member of wildfire, and a pretty useful one at that, but he makes the conscious effort to distance himself and act as a third party. On a deeper level she wants to like him but she can't until he becomes more than the shady annoying coward of a man who leaves the moment he senses danger.

Sampo, however, feels very neutral about her. Technically speaking she's the first kid she saw actually grow up. He never stays on planets long enough to see kids grow up and she's the first so there is some attachment to her but it's buried quite deep. He sees her potential because she is a great fighter and she could be so much better as both a person and a fighter if she let go of her hostility and biases. He does want to help her but it's obvious she doesn't really like him and that she's not going to accept help from him of all people which is why he mostly leaves her alone.

At least, that's my interpretation of these two. I'm not sure how much of it I got right since, again, I'm not all that familiar with Seele, like I said I'm not a fan of her character.

Oh my God ?! Are you team Jacob for Twilight ?! So then ! I have to say that I have nothing against the canon ships of this saga. (Yes even the very controversial Jacob & Renesme. I generally put my brain in off mode for that by telling myself that SM as a mother herself must not have thought about it very deeply) And I must say that I always been team Edward, even still technically today. But I'm no longer an enthusiast at all because the flaws in the story are now staring me in the face. And even if I'm not crazy about Jacob & Bella either and hated it when I was younger, I have to say that today I totally understand why we would love these two together. BUT ABOVE ALL ! Damn, I have a huge crush on Jacob in the second film... Like the actor, after gaining muscle, had a wow effect on me and I've always liked guys with beautiful, long, well-maintained hair. And Jacob was just magnificent in the second movie. Even his behavior towards Bella was adorable. Beyond that, I still say it today that if I had been Bella... Even if I am very fascinated by vampires... Damn I would have been with Jacob. Also... Damn the heat he must give off ! As a big chill person, this totally appeals to me ! And the wolf shape is so awesome and impressive ! When I watch the films again I admit I don't understand why Bella prefers to freeze to death with Edward. Also, I realized growing up that when Edward talks... I sometimes want to make him shut up because it can be so corny and annoying.

I am not a fan of twilight. I only read up to eclipse and stopped reading the books after that. I've seen the movies but mostly find them boring except the last two. Saying that, I do find the secondary characters and background characters more interesting than Bella and Exward. Everything is more interesting than Bella and Edward. I especially hate Bella. Book version of her more than anything. She is a very annoying, boring, selfish person. Just every thought in her head makes me want to slap her.

Twilight Vampires freak me out and are way too over powered. For the most part I don't like Stephanie Meyers. You can tell she is a Mormon white woman with how she writes. I do love Jacob and the werewolves though. Jacob in general is my sunshine boy and he deserves happiness and I hate Bella or leading him on. I feel so bad for his tribe and what these selfish Vampires constantly do to them and their land. I especially hate the books and movies for the bad reputation they give to classical novels and plays. Especially romeo and juliet. Twilight has nothing to do with romeo and juliet. And there are no parallels or comparisons between them. If Stephanie Meyers wanted to do that, the should have made Edward and Jacob fall love than if anything.

If I had to choose werewolves no question. Not only are they cute looking and badass. But they're warm and human still for the most part. Twilight Vampires are stone cold statues that are ment to look beautiful. They don't live. They don't sleep, they don't eat, sex would eventually get boring because their never tired, and any second now they can lose control from hunger of human blood and kill everyone, plus animal blood never satisfies them! So honestly what joy comes from being a vampire in this universe?! Bella is just so stupid for picking this life and Edward.

I had a huge crush on Taylor Launter as a kid. Had a poster of him on the wall of my bedroom ceiling. Though I also cried when him and Taylor Swift broke up and listened to 'Back to December' a million times.

Edward I find so boring too. Mostly I hate how he treats Bella more like a pet/child. While reading the books it annoyed me so much how he wouldn't fuck her or kiss her in a hot way. His romance with Bella and his reasons for holding back were stupid and boring. Though when he left in New Moon. I hated him. After everything they been through he's just going to abandon her just like that. Moron. The whole save your soul thing I did not understand because I wasn't really religious so I did not get it. note: eeeh, i am glad you like them love cx those are always really cute to explore cause i get to be super soft and such. and tbh, i’ve thought about this from time to time now, so this was super fun

yuji and you got together way before the entire “finger eating incident” - you two are middle school sweethearts, getting together in the middle of your third year and were planning on doing long distance since you were moving to tokyo for high school

you two did long distance at first, since you did want to try - so when yuji suddenly texted you overnight that he was moving to tokyo after he had just told you that his grandfather had passed, your brain short circuited

however, he soon revealed everything that happened to him - how he had swallowed this weird finger after being attacked in his old high school, and now he is the host of the world’s grumpiest cat

he was in the middle of describing how annoying sukuna was when a mouth suddenly appeared on his cheek, along with the scars beneath his eyes suddenly opening as the mouth scowl

“say one more thing brat, and i will skin you from the inside out.”

to say that you almost passed out from the shock was an understatement 

however, eventually you got used to the fact that your boyfriend is now sharing a body with a 1000+ year old Curse inside of him that he is always trying to find ways to kill him 

you got used to the times where your boyfriend will zone out a little with an annoyed look on his face whenever you two are talking; knowing that sukuna was probably just tossing some backhanded comment to him 

any other person would have left some time ago, sighting that it was hard to date what was essentially two people in the same person

yet, in all honesty, you saw no need to 

although cold and brash at first, sukuna slowly but surely warmed up to you, and even grow quite fond of you as well

it soon became you being shared between both men, since you’ve now accepted that sukuna was apart of your relationship. not like his annoying ass will let you two be at peace if he isn’t involved after all

definitely has ‘supervised’ visits - meaning that sukuna can come out for one evening but he has to promise not to hurt anyone and give control back to yuji before you two go to bed

sukuna knows he can definitely overwrite that and cause some damage - but the idea of not only disappointing you but being denied the precious time you two share together is a little bit too much for him to handle

whilst yuji enjoys talking to you and using words to express his love, sukuna is more of a physical person - soft touches, hair playing, or even the occasional cuddle

whilst yuji enjoys staying up watching movies and snacking, sukuna actually enjoys the act of cuddling together after a long day, and sometimes even enjoy going up onto the rooftops to stargaze with you

they are honestly different people who enjoy different things, and although it can give you whiplash from time to time, you do not mind. feels like you always have the best of both worlds

sukuna will never admit it, but he soon grows quite fond of you and feels the strong need to make sure that you’re alright at all costs

whenever yuji has a free day, he will pester yuji to go over to your place to hang out, since i envision sukuna as a relatively clingy partner. he’s so used to people running away that meeting someone like you, who stays with him despite his flaws, makes him quite clingy 

yuji would always rat him out the moment you open the door, whining with a smirk that sukuna forced him over whilst sukuna’s mouth appeared on yuji’s cheek to snap back at him for telling on him

it honestly looked like two siblings fighting, and although you find it cute, you need to step in to make sure that sukuna does not take over and start trashing your house out of frustration

there are a few moments where sukuna will not interfere between you and yuji, where you two get to enjoy a few moments of silence where you two can really catch up with one another 

you two would cuddle as you put a movie on in the background, not really paying it any mind as you two just enjoy the moments you get to spend together as a couple

most of the time though yuji will take that opportunity to drag you out on an impromptu date to drag out the time, since he knows that if sukuna comes out during one of your dates, you are going to be pissed

yuji enjoys playing with your fingers; no matter what he does. waiting for food, going on his phone with one hand, trying to distract himself in a boring talk

sukuna will randomly appear and nip at your palm or fingers with his sharp teeth, yet it is not enough to hurt. you do, however, let out a few giggles here and there because it is ticklish

yuji loves it when you wear his clothes; he is a huge and muscular boy, so his clothes are always huge on you. he finds it so cute because you look like you’re drowning in the fabric

sukuna says you look like a disheveled cat, but he does find you quite cute to look at as well

think the only time yuji and sukuna will never fight is when it comes to you - from small things like what you’d like to eat when they visit, the types of fruits you’d like, to bigger things like what to get for your birthday or how to make it up to you after a sight

speaking of fights though - you are definitely the referee when it comes to whenever they are fighting; making it so they are at least not at each other’s throats

all in all, things were definitely rocky at first because sukuna does not seem like he likes you at all. but slowly but surely, sukuna had started to grow to like you, and even cherish you close to his heart

yuji is just a bright light in your life who is always willing to compromise when it comes to you, even if he finds it quite a pain on some times; it was better to bite the bullet and work through this new hurdle in your relationship instead of letting it fester then explode in your faces

and no matter how weird it may be to outsiders looking in, you three were happy. and at the end of the day, that is all that matters

why i think suzie is one of the show's most tragic characters (and why she deserves the world)

(canon, with a lot of filled in sections based on my analysis of her character and assumptions about her life based off what we've already seen. i literally could be 100% wrong)

imagine you're suzie. you're born into an extremely devout religious family. religious brainwashing starts from day 1 to make you into a perfect mormon girl with no flaws. yourself and your big sister are placed on a pedestal with so much being expected of you that the standards are terrifying. you are forced to grow up in a mold you've been put into by your parents and your forced religion. a few years after you're born, your parents start having more kids, one after another. with a mother who's either mostly absent or completely gone and a father who's constantly buried in his work, you wonder- how will they take care of this many kids? you get your answer: they won't. as you grow up, you and your sister are the sole caretakers of your little siblings while your parents are hidden away in other things. the responsibility puts a strain on your relationship with your sister, who you *should* have so much in common with. you grow up with your siblings able to run amok and destroy your house and do whatever they want with only a pathetic "time out" corner as a punishment, while you and your sister are punished for even the littlest things, no allowance for freedom at all. finally, one summer, you get out of the house. you go to a camp for people you can relate to, and you're able for a moment to be a kid. except- you're too shy to meet these people, and you're too drowned in your religion to let yourself have any fun. until you meet another kid. he loves science just like you, he has no front teeth, and he has pretty blue eyes that you really find charming. except... he plays dnd, something that you've heard called 'satanic and of the devil', he curses at any minor inconvenience, and he's an agnostic. you don't know what to do, but eventually, you give up on sending prayers and you just talk to him. he's actually really nice. he isn't the devil incarnate, he isn't a terrible influence, he's just a kid like you, and he likes building things and thinking about science and math and you've finally found someone to *talk* to. and- he's so nice that you get butterflies around him, and your heart beats faster, and your face feels hot. but this isn't supposed to be allowed. you can't like someone like this. it's against the rules. but- for once in your life, you think... 'screw the rules'. not only do you fall in love with this boy, you kiss this boy! you spend nights with this boy reading and giggling together after curfew! and if your father heard about this he would *kill* you. but you're having so much fun, and you feel like a real teenager for once. it feels like a dream. but then, you eventually have to wake up. you have to go home, and you have to say goodbye to him- but he promises you can still talk, he builds an entire radio satellite just so he can talk to you. and he gives you his cute hat. so, you feel good. you go home and expect to hear from him but... for a while, you don't. you worry you did something wrong, or that his contraption didn't work; and you'll never be able to see him again. and you're once again stuck in this loop of taking on this parental role, being the golden child when your sister starts acting out, trying to keep your religion intact when you *know* you're doing something wrong. but thank god, he calls you, and he's the one thing you have and you can breathe again. granted, he rather forcefully asks you to explain a mathematical equation you thought he knew, tells you he's fighting monsters and russians, and you have no idea what any of that means- but you get to hear his voice and share (what you think is) a private moment, so everything's fine. you're back on track.

a year or so passes and you're steady with your boyfriend and you're at least a little happier than you were. you have a computer, and you spend nights and nights researching and studying and figuring out how to encrypt data and code and everything that you could possibly do on the thing. your boyfriend calls you in desperation one day, confiding in you about his poor grade. your first instinct is to judge him. but ever since you met him, you've learned how *not* to do that. no one deserves that (except for maybe yourself, but that's another can of worms). you illegally hack into his school's system, something that makes your heart race, and you glance at a statuette of your god staring back at you and you realize what you're doing. you really *aren't* the child of god you were taught to be anymore. and in spite of that realization, your finger lands on the keyboard and you choose your boyfriend over what you've been indoctrinated into for 15 years of your life. and you don't regret it, because he was so thankful for you and he told you you were a genius and you know he tells his friends you're the prettiest, smartest girl in the world and for once in your life you feel appreciated. you don't regret it. but you can't stop thinking about it. you can't stop thinking about how disappointed your father would be. how disappointed the lord would be. it's gnawing at you because for so many years you've never lied or sinned like this and it's absolutely terrifying. when your father notices, he forces you to tell him what happened. and you confide in him, scared, hoping you can trust your own father to understand and talk to you. but you can't. he yells and you and he shames you and he takes away the thing that you love the most and you hardly know what to do with yourself. you can hardly cope.

and then one day, a group of scraggly boys who look like they haven't showered in days show up in your room. you should be scared, angry- anything- but they're your boyfriend's friends, and they need your help. nothing's in it for you, but you want to help them get this top secret game console because you know dustin deserves it and it want to trust these people. but... you can't help them. your computer is gone. there's no way you can help, they came to you for nothing. you're useless. unless..... you have an idea. you're tired of being so scared and doing whatever your family tells you. so you stage a plan, a big silly heist- and you sneak around your house like a little kid playing a game, and you breach your father's office and hack the computer and hack a secret nevada base's address. you feel so alive, and you know these boys didn't come here to have fun and just running around in your house isn't something they'd ever care about but *she's* having so much fun with these boys who's names she hardly even knows! she feels like a teenager and her adrenaline is pumping and her heart is racing, and she gets away with it! and she's *so* excited to help and do this thing that she would get in so much trouble for- and then.... and then they leave.

and then she's alone again.

More k-dramas y'all should watch

So, at the end of 2017, I created a post going through my favourite dramas of all time. Obviously, I have watched more dramas since then so I have a few more dramas that everyone needs to watch!!

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon

This is an obvious one, so if you haven't watched it, have you been living under a rock?? When I first heard of it just before it came out, I thought it was going to be a rip off of weightlifting fairy Kim bok joo. But boy, was I wrong!! This drama has the perfect amount of romance, comedy, thriller and crime, so it is a good all rounder drama!! The whole cast (not just the leads) had amazing chemistry. The only flaw with this drama is that it does queerbait a little. I wish they either didn't add it in the story or fully went with that the main lead is Bi.

The story surrounds a girl with superhuman strength who wants to be a video game designer. She has always hid her strength due to fear if hurting others and losing her power. She in a unrequited love with her childhood friend who is now a police officer. She then crosses the path of a CEO of a video game company and her starts to become more chaotic. With a serial killer on the loose, Do Bong Soon needs to decide if she will keep a low profile or use her powers for the better good while also falling in love on the way.

While You Were Sleeping

Again, an obvious one, but it has to be watched!! Like strong woman, I was a little apprehensive of this one. Mainly because I hadn't heard good things about Suzy's acting before this came out. But it really surprised me and I really loved it! I'm a sucker for anything crime related, so with a really cute love story as well, it was amazing!! It has really good chemistry and likable characters. The second male lead is also amazing!! I usually don't get second male lead syndrome, but damn I felt it even though I also really loved the main lead. I can't really find any faults with it.

The story surrounds two people who can see the future through dreaming. This includes good and bad things. When the female reporter about dying while on the job, she quite her job to try and changes her fate. A prosecuter move across the street from her, initially they do not get on and their bond starts to grow. Together, they use both of their skills and their power to help change the future and solve crimes along the way. They also soon realise that this is not the first time they have crossed paths.

Psychopath Diary

I cannot recommend this drama enough!! Honestly, it is so underrated!!! Yoon Shi Yoon's performance is incredible, he really embodies the role here. It is so funny, and sweet. You also see a serial killer low key but high key fall in love with the male lead, so there is major gay vibes. The only issue I have with it is, I wish there was a little romance involved. But it is a not a major want.

The story surrounds a pushover who is working at a stocks company. After a major issue arises, he becomes the Scapegoat of the company and is being blamed for it, even though he tried to prevent it. Due to this, he decides that he will end his life. On the way to do this, he witnesses a murder and accidentally picks up the serial killer's diary. While trying to escape, he gets hit by a car and gets amnesia. When he wakes up and reads the diary, he believes that he is the serial killer.

Honestly, please watch this drama, it is so so so funny, the chemistry of the whole cast is incredible. It also possibly has one of my favourite villians in any drama.

Your Honor / Dear Judge

Yes, I am a simp Yoon Shi Yoon. He is just so good and thus role just confirms it! His acting is incredible, king of the double roles! He plays twins and you really tell when either pop up on screen which one he is. This is a really wholesome drama that makes you cry. It has some really sweet moments in it, the leads have such good chemistry. This only issues with this one is that the ending felt rushed. I hate that the TV company changed it from 20 eps to 16 eps.

The story follows a set of twins. Twin A is a top judge in Korea, who is incredibly smart and is living a rich life. Twin B is a criminal who has been screwed over multiple times by the justice system and Twin A. Their mother always sides with A and will tell B not to bother him. When A goes missing, B goes undercover and takes his brothers place. He soon learns about the corrupt world of the court system and his brother. B meets a law student who is meant to be shadowing A. Like B, she has also been affected by the corrupt system and is wanting to be a judge to convict those who have wronged her. Together they fight the system while also falling in love.

Because This is Our First Life

This is a slice of life drama so will have some heavy moments in it. But on the whole, it is just so lovely and cute. The acting is incredible, they really take on the role. It also has one of the best female friendships which is not toxic, they all genuinely care for eachother and want eachother to achieve their dreams. It also has some true badass moments in it as well! I feel like all slice of life dramas have this, but it does have some frustrating moments where the characters are almost purposely making their life's difficult

The story focuses on a woman who is a drama script writer. Due to her patriarchal family who always favour her brother and being let down by her crush, she wants to move out. She ends up moving in with a friend of a friend of a friend. It is to her surprise that the person who she is moving in with is a man who is very much stuck in his own ways and likes to stick to routine. Due to their own desires to be on their own, they decide to get married to relieve the pressure that their families are giving them. This (of course) causes issues and both have to learn about their new feelings for eachother while trying to get through the struggles of life.

Thirty but Seventeen

This drama is the definition of wholesome and cute. I feel that while I was watching it, it went by so quickly and I always had a smile on my face. The romance is so cute and lovely and you could tell they really cared about eachother. The side characters were also amazing and sweet. Honestly, the acting is incredible. The female lead does an amazing job.

The story follows woman who as a child was involved in a bus accident and fell into a coma. She wakes up over ten years later and learns that her family have stopped coming to see her. While on the search for her family, she resides with a man and his brother who are now living in her old family home. The two soon learn that there are more connected than they thought. With the man trying to push her away, the more his feelings grow for her.

Introverted Boss

This is a revenge to love story. It on the whole is a really cute drama where you get to see the leads grow for the better. The acting is incredible and you really fall in love with the leads and the support cast (except for the second lead). It is not a perfect drama, but it is a really easy watch with an interesting story.

The female lead is a stage actress who quits her job to work at a marketing firm. This firm happens to be where her sister used to work. She is out to get revenge against the CEO of the company who she blames for her sister's death. She learns that the CEO is extremely introverted and becomes confused by how he was responsible for her sister's death. As the story goes by, she becomes more intrigued by him and focuses less on revenge and more on helping him open up.

Vincenzo

Ahhhhh, how do express my love for this one!! It is just amazing!! The story was so well thought out and the actors did a fantastic job. It was so satisfying to watch, I wanted to be a member of the mafia lol. The villians were also incredible, like I just love this drama so much. Like Your Honor, the only issue with this one is that the ending felt rushed.

The story surrounds a Korean man who was adopted into an Italian family and became the consiglerie of the mafia. After an issue with his adoptive family, he travels back to Korea in search an insane amount of gold bars which happens to be underneath an unsuspecting block of flats. He then gets involved with a major legal court case with a pharmaceutical company. As he delves deeper into the case, dark secrets start to get revealed.

Before the last 2 episodes of Yumi’s Cells 2 are out I just wanted to say I really appreciate Jinyoung’s acting this season as Babi. He really works so hard and put himself in the shoes of this character. We didn’t get much of his back story or his cells unfortunately. But with Jinyoung expressing amazing emotion in his acting we could feel the sincerity and understand Babi’s difficulties and his struggles as a character.

In the beginning we think that Babi is this perfect boyfriend who is so supportive to Yumi. But we see also that he has these flaws that makes having a relationship with Yumi hard. For example in last episode even though he was back together with Yumi he was so insecure and afraid to lose her that he lied to her and didn’t tell her he was in the hospital. As an audience member at first this really annoyed me and made me so frustrated with the writers for doing this to Babi and making him look even more like a bad boyfriend. Then he proposes to Yumi and this seems like an attempt by Babi to keep Yumi from leaving him as if once they are married they can continue to live happily together. But there is already trouble with trust in the relationship and it could only be worse.

I don’t know how Yumi and Babi could end up happy together again. It was a really sad relationship when you think about it this way. Yumi was just broken up with Woong. Babi was someone who her love cell didn’t accept at first but instead all the other cells in her body earned to be with him already. They liked the feeling of Babi being someone that would love them and treat them right. But Babi was never seen as more than a fantasy boyfriend. Someone to support and encourage Yum’s writing. A person for Yumi to feel all cute and happy with. But once he makes one mistake its over. The fantasy is broken.

Babi recognized that he was in trouble because he let himself gain some feeling for another girl. But instead of acting on those feeling and cheating on Yumi he tried to distance himself and focus on his relationship with Yumi. But it wasn’t enough for Yumi because already her image of him being this perfect boyfriend is broken. Did she ever truly love Babi or did she love the idea of him? What did Yumi even know about Babi such as what are his passions and his goals in life what is his dream? What is he like with his family? Did Yumi love Babi for who he is or did she love him for what he did for her?

This is way too long and i doubt anyone will read this but I just needed to get all these emotion and thoughts i have been having out.

In the end I appreciate Jinyoung’s acting with Goeun was amazing. If I just ignore the storyline I can just see the cute sweet moments and the beautiful heart breaking moments as wonderful acting. I wish the characters were written with more care but that’s not my choice. I can just take it for what it is. I understand that as viewers we expect a happy ending where the male lead and the female lead end up together in the end after facing all kinds of obstacles because love conquers all. But what is painfully real about Yumi’s cells is that it’s not like that. In season 1 the main leads broke up. The end.

I think this season will be the same ending. Yumi breaks up with Babi this time it’s final. She can’t have the same feeling for him anymore the trust is gone she doesn’t need him anymore. She is a writer now she has ambition and is growing to love herself instead of having a man love her. Maybe that will be the ending. The person Yumi ends up with will be someone she can see herself living with forever to love unconditionally as a best version of herself as possible putting aside her painful history.

Anyway i wish Babi to have a happy ending too. But this isn’t called Babi’s Cells so i guess the writers might not have any obligation to give him one. He will just end up being an Ex.

But congratulations to this amazing cast thank you for your hard work.

I’ve re-watched “Young Royals” so many times and each rewatch just never fails to astound me. This is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever seen in a teen drama. Yes, it’s trope-y, there’s no avoiding that. And it’s not a perfect show. But, it managed one thing that many teen dramas often struggle with: authenticity.

All the characters, yes, including August, are all so well thought out and no one is one-dimensional. They’re all flawed. They have their own morals and beliefs that they either embrace or reject. They have their own background stories and motivations for their actions. Not to mention, the teens? They act like teens! They go to school, hang out with friends, complain about their families, have crushes, and take part in hobbies. 

And none of them look like they’re about to walk a runway! They have acne and scars and messy hair.

The costumes, man! The kids wear regular, comfortable clothes that are still fashionable and appropriate for school. Yes, the rich kids are wearing designer names that scream “money!” (I noticed the Calvin Klein logo in one of Wilhelm’s sweatshirts) but that’s the thing — they’re subtle without being in your face. Even the girls’ makeup looks like the actresses themselves did their own makeup!

And don’t get me started on the relationships! All the relationships! Familial! Platonic! Romantic!

Wilhelm clearly loves his parents but he’s the second born. The spare. Most of the attention growing up was most likely on Erik. And Wilhelm most likely felt invisible, which was just fine with him, he doesn’t like the attention… until Erik died and Wilhelm became crown prince. Suddenly, all the attention that their parents gave Erik was given to him and it wasn’t the good kind. They have expectations for him now. Big ones. I don’t think Wilhelm’s parents are homophobic, not at all. His mother seemed sympathetic towards him after the video came out. But, at the end of the day, she was still the Queen and she had to make choices for the good of the Crown. And, unfortunately, that clearly took precedence over her role as a mother.

Simon and Sara’s dad made some wrong choices and lost his family in the process. And although Simon seemed more forgiving, Sara is clearly not. Micke tries to get back in Simon’s good graces by getting him the booze for the party but freaks out when he thought Simon was using drugs. And even Linda, best mom ever, clashes with Sara, who believes that their mother isn’t doing enough for them. We, the audience, sees that she is and Simon does, too, but Sara feels that it’s not enough and Linda doesn’t even try to fight her on it.

And Felice clearly loves her mom and struggles to meet her expectations but is getting choked in the process (’quite literally). It makes me wonder if her initially going after Wilhelm is because her mother is pressuring her to get with the prince. During parents’ day, her mother asked after Wilhelm, not Felice. And Felice realizes pretty quickly how toxic her mother is but, in the beginning, there wasn’t much she could do but go along with it. But, slowly and surely, she starts breaking away, starting with refusing to wear her mother’s dress and refusing to be Lucia and giving it to Sara, who actually wanted it.

And there’s August’s obvious distaste of his mother’s boyfriend and his rocky relationship with her after his father’s suicide. August is still clearly grieving while his mother seemed to have already moved on. And although this doesn’t excuse August’s actions, it shows his motivation and how strongly he’s holding on to whatever sort of control he can get his hands on: the rowing team, his status in school as prefect, and Wilhelm.

I can’t talk about “Young Royals” without talking about Wilhelm and Simon’s relationship. The way it started because Simon spoke up in class about the unfairness of the law when it comes to welfare scams and tax evasions. Wilhelm’s whole life was probably filled with fake friends, people who only wanted him for his connections or to elevate their own status. In a sea of fake people, Simon was authentic. He never pretended to be anything he was not. And I can see why that must be intriguing to Wilhelm and he pursues him without even realizing it. He’s drawn to Simon and not just ‘cause he’s cute and has the voice of an angel.

And they got the actual way teenagers act when confronted by feelings for a crush. They watch and long from a distance. They shyly try to get close but get overwhelmed at any hint of reciprocation. The careful hesitation at that first kiss. The heartbreak of the possibility that you read the signs wrong. The giddiness of that first relationship. Yes, they do have sex from the get-go but the relationship itself was not sexual — it was innocent, sweet, and full of adoration.

They even have a fairly healthy relationship! They communicate and talk about their feelings. They don’t let things fester. When Wilhelm realizes he’s hurt Simon, he apologizes. And Simon, even if he may not understand Wilhelm’s motivations, tries to do so, anyway. They have so much respect for each other. They had a relationship that stemmed from friendship and trust.  

That’s what makes the eventual reality setting in hit hard. Because we suddenly remember that Wilhelm is no ordinary boy — he’s a prince. He’s in love with a commoner who also happens to be another boy. I don’t know what it’s like to live under a monarchy but I can imagine that even if the actual people they rule don’t care if their crown prince likes boys, the monarchy is still set in their traditional ways.

And these boys, who are experiencing love and a relationship for the first time had theirs marred by the violation of their first time and the expectations of the crown. Not to mention, they’re teenagers! That’s traumatizing for both of them! 

Suffice to say, I’m glad we have this piece of media that, despite it about being about royalty and nobility and rich kids, it’s enjoyable to watch because it’s incredibly relatable and real.

When you see these characters, you see your peers and people you’ve grown up with. You can even see yourself. 

And that, my friends, is why we need a season 2.

When the coach announced there would be a new assistant to help out the team, he didn't think anything of it at first

When he finally met you, he was just excited to make another friend and have a new member to the team

Once he actually started to get to know you that's when he realized he started feeling different around you

When you would laugh and smile brightly, that always seemed to make butterflies in his stomach

When he started waiting every day for you after practice all excited and happy, he thought he just enjoyed your company

Whenever you cheered him on and praised him for his hard work, he noticed he didn't feel the same way when other people cheered and praised him. He felt special, and treasured it much more.

He started noticing he wanted to be around you much more. He wanted to hold hands, he wanted to give you little pecks on your cheek, heck he even worked extra hard in practices just to impress you

It wasn't until kageyama pointed it out which finally made Hinata realize his true feelings towards you

You bet this boy was actually really happy finding out. Of course he still was a bit scared knowing he liked you but not knowing how you felt towards him

After a couple of weeks to almost a month of him getting the courage to ask you out, he finally does it one night when he's waiting for you after practice

"Hinata!" you call out the short ginger boys name as you run towards him out of breath

"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. I had to check the schedule for yall's next game" you say as you walk next to him

"I- it's alright Y/N don't worry about it" He says as he looks down at the ground walking next you a bit more slower than usual

"Hinata? Is something wrong?" You ask the short male worried

Hinata stops and turns towards you, head still facing down. "A-actually Y/N....theres something I've been meaning to tell you"

"Oh really? Well what is it? It's okay take your time, you can tell me anything!" you say as you patiently wait for hinata to respond

You can't help but feel a bit nervous and curious as to what it is he wants to ask you. You have been having a crush on hinata for a while now after all.

He's cheerfulness and energetic personality is what pulled you in. His love for volleyball and wanting to grow better and stronger Only adding more to what you loved about him.

"Y-Y/N will you.....go out with me? I've been liking you for a while now and I felt like it was finally time to tell you and ask you out" He says as he finally looks up at you nervously

You quickly pull him close, giving him a big loving hug. "Of course hinata! I've been liking you for a while now too actually" You say as you let go of him and smile.

In the end, hinata was thrilled to know you felt the same towards him and you bet the next day he rambled on and on about how much he loved you and how you two we're now a couple <3

When he heard there was going to be a new assistant to help out with the team, he actually didn't think that much about it either as well. He was curious tho to see what type of person you were

The first time he met you, he couldn't help but immediately think of how cute you were and how you had such a kind approach to almost everything you did

Not to mention you were just as chaotic and excited like him at times which he found really nice

At first he was a bit oblivious to his feelings but after a while he realized he actually liked you

It just hit him one time when he scored a point and won an important match to which he smiled and screamed excitedly to, he didn't expect for you to run towards him and give him a big hug with a quick kiss to his cheek tho 😃

He immediately smiled wider and pulled you in even more close

He realized that he loved how supportive you were towards him and how you always tried matching he's energy to make him happy

He just over all felt on cloud 9 and couldn't stop getting you out of his head

Once he actually calmed down and prossessed hes feelings, he immediately planned on telling you how he felt once the match ended and he got back to the school

"Y/N!! Y/N!!!" he ran all around the school, trying desperately to find you. He just couldn't hold back how he felt towards you any longer Or else he felt like he would go insane

Once he did actually spot you walking out of the school, he immediately ran towards you and stopped right in front of your path, breathing heavily as he crouched down, holding his knees.

"Atsumu? Is something the matter?" you ask as you stare at him worried

You wonder why he's out of breath and hasn't gone home yet

"Why are you still out here? The others have already left" you say as you start getting more worried by the second

"T-theres something I need to tell you" he says between breaths. "I need to tell you today or else it will keep nagging at me for the rest of the day" he says as he finally stands up straight and looks at you.

"I like you Y/N. I like how kind and supportive you are towards me. I want to do the same for you if you will have me" he says clenching his fists as he waits for your response

You pull him in close and hug him tightly. "I like you too Atsumu....and I would be honored to have a guy like you in my life" you say as you kiss him deeply

He quickly returns the kiss and holds you close. "Thank you so much Y/N"

You couldn't believe the amazing, cute, funny, and handsome Atsumu that you've been liking for a while now actually felt the same towards you. None the less you can't wait to officially spend more time with him and know he's yours and you're his.

The next day Atsumu didn't stop talking about how you and him we're together now and how happy you made him feel. How grateful he is for you and how adorable you are <3

Believe it or not, sugawara was actually pretty excited to find out there was going to be another assistant added to help out with the team. The more the merrier!

He immediately went up to you to introduce himself

He was actually a bit surprised to find out you immediately got along with everyone else, not to mention you we're already telling everyone about what you do and your interests

He doesn't know 100% why but he found himself wanting to get to know you better. He just though he wanted to be close friends like he is with everyone else

Once he actually got to know you, he realized you were very kind and gentle when it came to the team

You were always there comforting them and cheering them on

He found himself getting drawn to you more and more as days passed

Unlike the others, sugawara isn't oblivious and immediately knew when he fell in love with you

Of course this dosent mean he wasn't a bit shy to let you know

He loves how gentle and caring you are to other people. He wants to give back the same energy and take care of you like you do with him

He wants to take care of you when you're sick and having bad days. He wants to see your flaws and love them for them.

He decided to let you know how he felt by inviting you to the park for a cup of hot coffee near the winter time

"Sugawara?" You walks towards the white haired boy who is currently sitting on a swing slowly rocking back and forth with two hot coffees in hand

"Ah Y/N, please sit down" He says with a soft smile while gesturing towards the open swing next to him

You take a seat next to him on the swing, lightly rocking yourself back and forth.

"Here" he hands you a hot coffee "Something to warm you up"

"Thank you" you say smiling as you take the hot coffee from his gloved hands

You weren't quite sure what sugawara wanted to tell you. All you could think about right now is how happy you are to be near him. You couldn't help but fall in love with the white haired boy.

The way he would comfort his teamates whenever they felt down. How kind he was towards them. How he would smile so brightly whenever he saw he's teamates improve. You loved all of that about him.

"Y/N.....I like you. I like how caring and gentle you are not only to me but to the others as well. I want to take care of you like how you do with us" Sugawara says as he looks at you with a soft smile

You smile, the warm sensation building up in your face and stomach are much more better than the hot coffee in your hands. "I like you too sugawara, and I would love it if we could take care of each other"

You both quickly share a deep passionate kiss while laying on each other for warmth. Not even feeling the strong coldness of the night anymore.

Now sugawara isn't one to brag but he will make it known that you two are dating by being very affection the next day 😌

We ask you a lot about what series/shows/movies did wrong, but what are some scenes or moments that you are like "yes! That was done right!"? It can be from anything, but I'd love to also hear about places where things are done right.

It all depends on what you mean. Let's see:

In terms of redemption arcs and flawed protagonists, All Dogs Go to Heaven is one example we like.

Bojack Horseman is the same and there's a TON of other things it did well, such as the cycle of abuse and how abuse doesn't excuse your actions and asexual representation. The list goes on.

In terms of animal fiction: Watership Down and The Animals of Farthing Wood nail immersion and anthropromorphism mixed together.

When Marnie Was There is a movie we enjoy for varying reasons. Cat feels it's a healthy, cute depiction of two girls being gay if you ignore the last ten minutes. I feel it's a nice representation of childhood depression and isolation. Also, this movie is freaking BEAUTIFUL. I just feel at peace watching it.

Wolf Children is an example of family ties and growing up, with the shapeshifting intertwined nicely in it all.

Beauty and the Beast is one where people tried to repeat its tropes to DEATH and failed miserably, right down to its live-action remake. Yeah, just watch the original movie. It got everything right a lot of the time. lol

The Iron Giant and Lilo and Stitch are examples of quirky kid protagonists that worked. The latter also dealt with the effects of trauma on a young child and her sibling and did it in a sensitive and loving way.

To go off on that: Infinity Train also tackled an array of issues that children deal with (trauma, divorce and so on) and showed characters not accepting what's only ever expected of them. Redemption and also no redemption.

A Goofy Movie really nailed father-son relationships and single parent issues too. Just relationships with your child in general. Kudos to them for hinting at abusive relationships and how damaging they are to children as well when it came to Pete and PJ and Pete's 'under your thumb' approach. Like respect vs. fear. And they did it without even saying they did it too, which is really nice for a Disney movie.

A Goofy Movie was just terrifically done in the essence that there is no real antagonist (tho Pete and the principal come close - fuck those guys) and, while you initially side with Max as a child because his uncool dad is crashing his style, you grow up and really sympathise with Goofy's situation too. Realising that you don't really know your kid and he could be mixed up in some heinous shit would cause any parent to act like he does. It's really one of those movies where you can have more than one perspective and, while it gives me real bad 90's vibes, I really think it's timeless in its themes and delivery.

We talked about Finding Nemo briefly a few weeks back. The relationship between a concerned parent and disabled child was handled great. Somebody brought that up and I hardcore agree with them.

AND NOW FOR THE ADULT MOVIES SECTION

Bound is not only good sapphic representation, featuring a bisexual woman and a lesbian, but it's got a proactive and smart butch lesbian and they're shown actually supporting each other and making a really good team. Plus its got like. The perfect ending.

Thelma & Louise is good for starting out as a roadtrip comedy between two jaded wives taking a vacation away from their husbands, but then it quickly turns dark and they end up on the run from the law.

Jennifer's Body, gay as fuck, but also a really entertaining dark comedy horror that ultimately got messed up by the awful advertising.

Carol and Fried Green Tomatoes are good too

Annhilation is underrated in how it not only has all female-leads, but in how it explores the philosophy of self-destruction and the complexities of depression.

It's not inherently sapphic even tho one of the leads is a lesbian.

Also: Gia

Perfect Blue is a great psychological thriller that just nails everything that comes with that genre. And, even while it's about a semi popular celebrity changing her career path and people reacting badly to it, I think a lot of people who use the internet and have people who feel entitled to them simple for orbiting in the same circles can relate to a lot of elements that the protagonist goes through.

Felidae is also a well-written example of human emotions and complexities being applied to animals and it critiques such things at the same time.

Her work is no exception. Oftentimes gritty, raw, and exposing (in … ahem…more ways than one), Rachel challenges her readers to dig deeper into both the story and themselves. Her smut brings a particular fire as it’s laced with need, desire, and mutual trust that leads us deeper into the characters’ identities and how physical affection can mimic other forms of intimacy. When did you start writing? What was that project, and what was it like? Has that feeling or process ever changed over time? Why?

I can’t remember a time I wasn’t writing. I was an avid reader, as I think most writers are—and I remember, after picking up Lord of the Rings—that I could live so many lives, experience so many things, all from the pages of a book. I could make sense of the world through words and ink and paper. And it offered me a level of peace and clarity I wanted to share with others. So, I started writing.

My first project I remember to this day, was a short story about a dog. I had been so heartbroken when I learned that dogs were colourblind. I must have been about seven or eight at the time, and I was fixated on this idea that dogs couldn’t see the vibrant hues that made the world beautiful. It was something I wanted to change—and with all the righteous anger of a child not getting their own way, I sulked over the fact that I couldn’t. Until I wrote it down.

“How do dogs see colour?”

And much like my writing today, I answered myself.

“Dogs don’t need to see colour. Dogs smell colour.”

And so, I wrote a story, about a puppy being brought on different walks by its owner. And with every new street it walked down—colour bloomed with scent. Colours more beautiful and vibrant than we could ever hope to see with our eyes. And it gave me solace and helped me work through an emotion that – granted was immature and inconsequential – had affected me. To this day, I still smile seeing dogs sniffing at everything they pass on their walks. Smelling colour. It gave me the key to my favourite thing in life. I don’t think my process has changed much since then. Much of what I write is based on a skeleton plan, but I leave room for characters to speak and feel as they need to. I like to know the starting point and destination of a chapter—but how they get there, that still falls to instinct. I think I’ve found a happy medium of strict planning and winging it that suits me now—and hopefully it will continue to improve over time!

When did you start posting your writing, and on what platform? What gave you the push to do that?

I mean, fanfiction has always been part of my life. I think anyone who was growing up in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s found their way to fanfiction.net at some time or other. The wild west compared to what we have now! My first post was for the Lord of the Rings fandom on fanfiction.net. It was an anthology of the story told through the eyes of the steeds. Bill the Pony, Shadowfax—it was all very innocent. That was probably in 2010 when I was fifteen. I had been wanting to share writing for a long time but was worried about how it would be received. I didn’t really have a gauge on my level or my creativity and – one of the many flaws of someone with crippling perfectionism – I only ever wanted to provide perfection. That was a major inhibitor when I was younger. By wanting it to be perfect, I never posted anything. Until that stupidly cute LOTR fic. It was freeing to write something that no one but me had any interest in, because if I was writing for myself then there was no one to disappoint, right? And that was all it took. I had some pauses over the years between college and life and such, but I’ve never lost that mindset when it comes to posting.

What your favorite work of yours that you have ever written? Why is it your favorite? What is more important to you when considering your own stories for your own enjoyment — characters? fandom? spice? emotional development? the work you’ve put into it? Is that different than what you enjoy reading most in other people’s fics?

I don’t think it’ll come as much of a surprise when I say Stitches. While not original, I mean—it follows the plot of the Mandalorian quite diligently, it is the piece of work I really hold very close to my heart. Din Djarin as a character is what got me back into writing after what must have been five years? He inspired something. His manner, his personality—he resonated with me as a person in a way I hadn’t felt in a long time. And gave me back a creative outlet I had been missing.

It’s funny to say out loud—but I wanted to give him something? I spent so long thinking about his character that half my brain felt like it belonged to him—how he reacted and responded to things etc. and of course, like every dreamy Pisces—I wanted to give him love and happiness. So, Stitches came along. Personally, when writing—it’s a combination of characters, emotional development and spice (I can’t help myself) and when we can follow that development. With Stitches, it’s definitely the spice that is the conduit for development—but I adore showing how the physical can help people who struggle to communicate emotions too complex for words.

I don’t usually read for Din, as most people know—but I do enjoy reading the type of work that Stitches is. Human, damaged—but still with an undercurrent of hope that makes me think of children’s books.

You said, “much like writing today, I answered myself.” Could you talk about that in relation to Stitches?

So, I’m endlessly curious, it has to be said. Especially about why people are the way they are. Why people do A instead of B. Why X person’s immediate thought went to this place instead of that place. And I’m rarely satisfied with superficial explanations. One of the most exciting parts of writing and fanfiction especially, is making sense of that why. There can be countless explanations, some that are content with what is seen on the surface and some that go deep and some that go even deeper still.

Stitches is almost a – very long winded and much too long – answer to the questions I was so intrigued by about Din Djarin, about the Mandalorian and about the Star Wars universe as a whole. I often wondered what happened to people after the Rebellion, the normal people who fought—the people in the background. What did they do next? Did some of them suffer from PTSD? What was the galaxy like right after the Empire fell? That first season of the Mandalorian answered some of those questions, but I wanted to know more. So, I created a reader insert who was a combat medic—and through her, I let myself answer the questions of what happened next.

Regarding Din as a character, I wanted to know what a bounty hunter with a code of honour would do in certain situations—what made him tick, what made hm vulnerable. I wanted to explore the discovery of his identity. Din Djarin didn’t exist after he was taken from Aq Vetina. He became a cog in a very efficient machine of Mandalorians—and it was safe there. I wanted to see what – or who – might encourage him to step into his own. Grogu was that person in a familial sense, but what about romantically? What about individually? There’s so much to explore with this man! So many facets of personality and nuances of character that make him so gorgeous to write and think about.

Talk to me about the Din Djarin Athletic Universe. How does Din as all of these forms of athlete play off who you see him as in canon?

The Athletic Universe! How I adore my athletes. Despite being in a modern setting, I have kept the core of Din’s character in each of them (at least I hope I have!). I like to divide Din’s character into three phases when it comes to canon because he’s not as immovable as people seem to think he is. We discussed this before, how I see Din as a water element—adaptable, but strong enough that he can be as steadfast as rock. But I digress, the first phase is the character we see in the first episode. Basically, before Grogu. There’s an aggressive brutality to Din when we see him bounty hunting. He works on autopilot and isn’t swayed by sob stories or promises. He has the covert but is ultimately separate. Those soft feelings he comes to recognise when he has Grogu are dormant – not non-existent – but they haven’t been nurtured or encouraged. This is the point I extracted Boxer!Din’s personality and story from.

Cyclist!Din on the other hand—is already a father, a biological father to Grogu. And his personality, I took from that moment in the finale of Season two where I believe Din’s transformative arc of character solidified. He was always a father to Grogu, but I do believe that moment where he removes his helmet is the moment, he accepts that role fully in his heart and mind. And that is why I don’t believe for a second, that removing his helmet was him breaking his Creed. In fact, I believe it was the purest act he could do in devotion to his Creed—to his foundling, to his son. The Cyclist!AU is very much the character I see canon Din having should Grogu have stayed with him. This single dad who isn’t quite sure how he got to where he is now—but does anything and everything for his child without thought. It’s a natural instinct for him, and I like exploring those possibilities with Cyclist!Din.

You also said, “he has the covert but is ultimately separate.” What does it take for him — and you — to get to that point of being ‘not separate?’

I mentioned this above, but one of the biggest interests I have in Din as a character is his identity. He’s a Mandalorian, he’s a bounty hunter, he’s the child’s guardian but those are all what he is, not who. I think Din is separate while being part of the covert because he doesn’t know. I don’t think anyone can really be part of something if they don’t know who they are or, they struggle with their identity. It’s curious to me—how you can deceive even yourself to mimic the standard set for the many. In the boxer verse, he identifies himself in relation to his boxing—and every part of his outward personality exhibits those qualities. But when he’s given a softer touch—an outlet of affection, and comfort—we see the softer side of him surface. It’s very much the same with Stitches Din. Identity is like anything, emotions—relationships, bodies. It needs nurturing to thrive, an open door—a safe space. At least, that’s what goes through my mind when I think of him.

Who is your favorite character to read?

Frankie because there are so many ways his character can be interpreted and there are some stellar versions of him that I think of at least once a day. Javi because he reminds me of kintsugi-- golden recovery, broken pottery where the cracks are highlighted with gold. I also adore reading for Boba Fett, Paz Viszla and the clones!

Is there anything else you want your readers to know about you, your writing, or your creative process?

Hmm... only that I am quite literally a gremlin clown who is always here to chat Din, Star Wars, literature, book recs and anything else under the sun! I like to hear people's stories, their opinions etc. it helps me see things from alternative points of view and can truly help the writing process! Other than that, I think I can only thank readers for putting up with my ridiculously long chapters and rambling introspection. Thank you for indulging me always! ❤️

Kay, first off both of those people are Jarley shippers so take everything they say with a grain of salt and then some, cause no. that part isn't about how much Harley loves Joker and will always choose him over Ivy. Literally you can tell ops don't know what they're talking about cause her whole thing in those issues is going to kill him for years of graphic abuse but ultimately falls back with him once she’s face to face with him.

Like wow, congrats on missing the fucking point again but not surprised from people who ship her with The Fucking Joker.

also, ffs, can anyone please have basic comprehension skills and realize that Harley and Ivy are both fucked up sometimes because they’ve got issues and that’s not comparable to Joker’s long ass history of graphic and disgusting abuse.

Harley and Ivy are villains, they're not a wholesome cookie cutter, White Picket Fence, super vanilla ship with no bad moments. They're both bad guys with a fuck ton of trauma that they both have to work through, and have done so at this point. 

Gotham City Sirens was published between 2009 - 2011, Harley and Ivy weren't blatantly romantic at this point nor had they had anywhere near the development that they’ve had at this point.

Like don’t go into Harlivy content expecting them to be the perfect wlw rep with no flaws during their arcs from BTAS to current time cause that’s just not realistic. They’re both deeply flawed people who’ve got a fuck ton of trauma that they need to (and have) worked through.

Harlivy is not and has never been a purely wholesome, goody-goody ship. They’re messy, they have issues, and they have bad moments sometimes, but they both worked through their seperate trauma and came out stronger and better because at the end of the day, they care about each other. 

Harlivy has messy, toxic moments sometimes, but they’re not, and have never been, abusive. There’s a difference between unhealthy moments and a ship being abusive. 

That’s completely different to how Joker acts Constantly, because he does not care that his actions towards Harley are abusive, because he doesn’t give a shit about her. 

He enjoys hurting her. He enjoys ruining her. 

Jarley has always been intended to be written and shown as a domestically abusive relationship.

This is also the first instance where it's directly referenced that there's something more than platonic between her and Ivy, other than the reference in Batgirl Adventures. 

Gotham City Sirens is also not connected to any verses.

This didn’t happen in the timeline we’re in rn with Harley Quinn (2014)/(2016)/(2021).

Comic timelines and shit are stupid and make everything more confusing and awful and I hate it sdfjdksksdkjsd

So, Harley's entire thing at this point in the GCS comic in that she's been triggered by flashbacks of Joker's abuse and she breaks into Arkham with the intent to kill him.

The entire thing in these issues is showing her smarts and how she knows people's trump cards to get under their skin so she can break into Arkham. 

She’s trained to identify these things in people and she's fucking good at pushing people's buttons. 

this is also just one of my fav Harley covers so I wanted to show it jsdjksdks

“Trump cards. Everyone has one. Places where the armor we build around ourselves is weakest.” 

She’s right. And it’s now shown that Harley’s willing to use those below the belt trump cards if she has to.  

And frankly, I’d say this is worse than what she says to Ivy. And I’m not surprised she did it. She didn’t want to, she tried to get him to just open the door - 

“Don’t make me do this, Aaron. There are some secrets that should stay hidden. Things you should never learn about your own life.” 

but she’s also entirely fueled by rage and the desire to kill Joker. She came here for a reason and she’s not leaving until she’s done it.

“I’m going to kill you. For everything you’ve done to me. All the times you’ve made me feel useless and small. For all the times I will never forget. For all the things I can never forgive. All the memories -”

“Hello, Harley. I’ve missed you.” 

“Memories. That’s all I have left. The past is gone and all I have is... memories. 

Memories.

Memory. 

Gone.

I guess I too have a trump card.”

“Oh, Ivy. You know exactly what my answer is going to be. But you’re hoping you’re wrong, aren’t you?”

She’s also right about this, they already mentioned this in #18.

“How did I become the bad guy?”

“You’re the one choosing a man over her girls.”

“Are you kidding me? You would never say that to Harley, and we both know she’d dumb us in a flat second if Joker called her.”

“Hey! That’s not fair-- Actually, that’s probably true.”

“The difference is, she can’t help it. You can. And she’s working on it. You’re not working on it.” 

“Too easy, Ivy. Too easy. I know your weak spots. Now I just need to push.”

This is exactly what she’s been doing since the starting point of this post. She’s still in that mindset and she knows she can’t beat her on a regular battle field. Neither of them can. 

“Like I said-- You beat me in any level playing field. But I don’t fight on those fields.” 

Harley’s biggest strength as a villain is her ability to completely mentally stall her opponents and learn their weak spots. She wouldn’t win against the majority of the Big Bads if she didn’t fight on a different field than they are. 

so, like yeah, out of context what she says to Ivy seems awful and completely screwed up, and it is, but it’s also built up really well and it’s completely in character for her at this point in her fall during these issues. 

Is what she did fucked? absolutely. It’s not painted that it’s not. 

Ivy Literally Goes To Kill Her For It.

In the end of this all three of them are recaptured by Catwoman and Batman and that’s where we’re starting off at again. 

“Oh, Harley.

The only human I’ve ever called a friend.

To what lengths will I go? Where are my own limits? She is the Strangler fig. And I am the tree, choking underneath. 

Without me, she could never grow. 

But without her, I would fall if I grew too tall.” 

“Will she ever stand by herself?

She is in throes of madness. She sees him, her brain flooding with adrenaline, it makes her excited, nervous, then the feelings start to fade, and she needs more. And more. 

She sees it as passion. She sees it as love. 

But it’s not. It’s addiction. And she’s relapsing.” 

Ivy is well aware of the nature of their relationship. She’s not stupid and she’s been shown already to know that it’s something that takes time. It’s not a one off break up and it’s over. That’s not how abusve relationships work. 

What do I do?

I could use my pheromones to alter her brain chemistry.

I could leave her behind abandoning her to the wilds of her own mind.

I could kill her right now.

Show her how red Nature can be.

There's one other option.

It would require patience.

Even love.

Maybe I'm more human than I want to admit.

"You have one chance to answer this."

I know, if she agrees, she'll be doing it for revenge. For him.

"She put us behind bars."

But maybe if I get away from this place, if I give her something else to think about. Maybe she can break the cycle. But it has to be her choice.

"I'm going to kill her. Come with me."

So yeah, it’s definitely not a just “Harley hurts her and runs off with Joker and it’s just a plain ol’ her choosing him over everyone and that’s that.” 

Jarley shippers love to just reduce all her scenes and arcs down to their “epic love” and shit, but that’s taking away literally everything about her and reducing it down to the 3 panels that they’re “cute” in. Her arc in this part is fucking heartbreaking to read.

And Ivy damn well knows what’s going on with her. She’s smart and she’s the one that’s been there throughout all of this. She found her in the park after he shot her out of a rocket. 

And she knows it’ll take time for Harley to get over and through his manipulation, that’s just how it works with abusive relationships. 

But she’s also not forgiving at first, she’s mad and rightfully so, until she sees the sate of Harley’s cell and realizes how bad her addiction is at that time.

A lot of the unhealthy moments on Harley’s side when it comes to them are directly caused from the effects of being in an abusive relationship with Joker. Because she’s always in this area of her journey in those moments. She’s never fully over him or emancipated. 

And that’s realistic. It’s hard sometimes to be friends with someone who’s in abusive relationships like theirs, having to watch them return to that person time and time again and it’s frustrating after a while. 

I know from personal experience, it’s really hard to watch someone you care about go back or forgive someone that continues to hurt them. 

But abuse victims desperately need a support system outside of their abuser. It’s a crucial part of being able to escape, because when they do try to get out they need someone there or they’ll literally have no where to go but back into their abuser’s arms.

It’s heartbreaking and it’s really rough for everyone effected, but that’s just how it is most of the time. Especially in their case, as they’re not just regular folk dealing with this. 

If she doesn’t have Ivy, Harley has no one else to go to but Joker, on more than just an emotional level. 

She’s lost her job. Her income. Her home. Her livelihood. Her everything.

Most of the time she has no other choice but to return to a life of crime after she’s released from Arkham because she can’t get a job, she’s a notorious criminal and she’s got a lot of issues that don’t just disappear with a bit of therapy. 

She has no other choice but to return to Joker because the other alternative is the streets. At least she knows what to expect with him. 

And that’s not even getting into the manipulation, gaslighting and degrading abuse that he drills into her constantly. 

He’s made her believe she’s not anything without him. That she’s not smart or useful or anything. 

And that’s why it’s so damn important for her to have a support system and why he’s so damn against Ivy. 

Because Ivy is the good voice on her shoulder telling her he’s wrong and that she doesn’t deserve that.

And on Ivy’s side, she’s aware she gets very near cutting off all parts of her humanity. 

She’s a plant goddess, she’s insanely powerful and she feels everything through the green. Frankly, she’s not even on the same playing field as these villains. She’s significanty more powerful than Harley and Joker. 

Her connection to Harley is what keeps her humanity in tack, because despite everything, she does care about her. She was the first person she let in, the first person Ivy called a friend. 

The person that was able to get through to her in #14/#15 when she was losing herself. The one that was able to get through to her that the dude was manipulating her. 

“Ivy, I know you think you love this guy... but you’re just gonna end up strapped to his rocket!”

She had to knock her out for the dude to trust her / not attack them anymore. But Harley got through to her by mentioning how they first met in the park when she saved her after Joker shot her off in a rocket.

And Ivy is understandable turned off towards humans considering her origin and trauma around that. 

She’s got a lot of trust issues.

But both of them work through their seperate traumas over the years because their affection for each other is stronger than the issues their trauma has given them.

and also, sometimes, they just have shit writers. that’s an issue overall in comic fandoms. Some writers just fucking suck at getting any of the characters right, let alone LGBT characters, who’re notoriously treated like garbage by DC.

From SV we know that he felt admiration for his Shizun so do you think that if SJ wasn't cruel to him LBG's admiration would've grown into love and attraction like it did in LBH's case for SY? Which then also raises a question: would LBH/LBG fall in love with any Shizun who was kind to him? Or was he just drawn to SJ's type of personality. WDYT?

Hi there, Anon! I’m glad you’re liking the Untold Tale! Thanks for reading! I think it lowkey helps when the story I’m writing (in general) is from a culture I’m familiar with and that I know some of its language nuances (just general Mainland dialect; I’m unfamiliar with Shanghainese, the Beijing dialect, etc etc). So fortunately for me, as someone who is Chinese but was born in the Western side of the world speaking Mandarin to family and friends, emulating the Chinese aesthetic and atmosphere in TUT comes a little bit easier to me than someone who did not grow up with this culture. I bet if I had been raised in China, I would be able to write something even more multilayered and deep but, alas, the youthful rebellious me of the past hadn’t taken my pinyin and Chinese character writing lessons seriously so I can only communicate verbally and understand audibly 😫. It’s very special for us writers in fandoms to be able to write a story of a culture that we actually know and can identify with. But high key it’s been immensely fun injecting some references of things I’ve come to notice from watching period C-dramas and the C-novels I’ve read, and I’ve come to learn interesting things about Chinese history and mythology even I didn’t know! So the story really writes itself.

Shen Jiu (OG!Shen Qingqiu)

To answer your question 🤔, to be honest this is why the SVSSS fandom is great—because there’s so many interpretations of the original source material. That’s why we have our headcanons and fanfictions to explore these many different possibilities. So for me personally, I can see it happening both ways: *1) LBG does develop a crush/falls in love with SJ, or 2) no matter how SJ treats him LBG regards him respectfully or coldly. I think Possibility 1 is more likely, since SY transmigrated into SQQ and we saw what happened with “Bunhe.”

Now, mind, for Possibility 1 to be more likely to happen, the SJ in PIDW will have to undergo a massive personality change/ a change of heart/ develop a good conscience and will need to clean up his image aka clear up the massive misunderstandings from PIDW canon (like him being mistaken as a pervert for Ning Yingying, visiting whorehouses, killing LQG, etc). It’ll be difficult though considering who Airplane has changed SJ into for his stallion harem novel (reading through SVSSS, my impression of PIDW besides it being the harem stallion novel is that it sounds similar to a “dog blood plot,” where audiences tune in to see how the villains are brought to justice). I literally have a line from TUT in a future chapter where SY says this about SJ since I will resurrect SJ and bring him into the story for closure:

People like Shen Qingqiu naturally had a set of deeply-rooted values. If one wanted to change them, it’d be easier to just have them reincarnate. (—TUT, ch???)

At his core, he’s a flawed man (which makes sense with the underlying cycle of abuse theory, considering his upbringing and backstory). He’s jealous and petty and prickly. His image is that of a proud and cold immortal. In Chinese terms, he’s the type of character archtype who I can see being àojiāo (definitely not canon characterization; this is just a stray thought that amuses me) in a romantic relationship.

LBH will have to recognize that^, or be in a position where he finds SJ’s caustic side endearing instead. He will also have to be extremely patient with him (although, since the joke in SVSSS is that LBH is an incurable M, it shouldn’t be that hard).

A fun thing about OG!SQQ is that he’s the cannon fodder scumbag villain of PIDW. He’s the reason LBG blackened from a white lotus. And, as you know, villains aka antagonists aka bad boys resonate strongly with people for a reason. That’s why we see a lot of Enemies to Lovers tropes, etc. It squicks me to use this phrase but “the allure of dating a ‘bad boy’ is strong.” SJ is that type of bad boy we could identify as a “fixer-upper project” (ugh, that phrase)—even with the red flags and warning signs—especially for those said to have a troubled past with rejecting neglectful parental figures/ family members/ friends and have have not outgrown their wish to convert that sort of person into a loving, accepting person. When we want something we can’t or shouldn’t have, our desire for it grows exponentially. In fanfiction this is a concept writers and readers can explore safely in a world of the imaginary.

From a Meta Perspective

Although, if we look at it meta-ly, the cold and proud and/or knowledgeable Shizun (teacher/ master) character who comes to know love and “is redeemed” by whomever is the love interest (typically a cute and quirky girl who may or may not have started off as naive to the innerworkings of the Cultivation World and therefore needs an established and mature mentor to guide them) is a very well-known archetype for a reason in Chinese fan culture.

Seeing a terrible person change their ways and try to become a better person because of the influence of the one they love is also a popular depiction for a reason.

It’s almost like gap moe. The crueler and aloof one starts out as (arrogance is a staple), the more impactful the shift is when we see such characters soften their edges.

The draw of the sacred master/disciple relationship is that it’s taboo, so I think it’s fair to say that such a relationship in fiction is a popular trope precisely because of this aspect. From a writer’s perspective, the main appeal is to show that there is someone out there who can cause this respectful figure to lose control (undergo emotional change) and go to great lengths to protect his/her precious person. That precious person also has to fall into the “not like other girls” trope (so they can show the ML a different world he would not have seen the beauty of before). On the other side, we look forward to the point of the story where the love interest has their “Oh” moment and realizes their admiration has somehow shifted into love and attraction over the course of events.

Other Romantic Possibilities

It’s very likely. I personally like the fanon headcanon where anyone with Heavenly Demon blood running through their veins feels a compulsion to “obsessively fixate on one person” (TLJ —> SXY, LBH —> SQQ). Personally I don’t recall if this was canon or fanon, but someone had written something about LBH imprinting on one person in his lifetime on the account of his demon nature. And I like that theory (I think it’s likely more fanon than anything but it’s an intriguing idea full of possibilities!).

For him to fixate romantically on one person, I personally don’t think the prerequisite is just by being kind to LBH (but it probably adds to the person’s appeal). There’s probably other factors that go into this to capture the male protagonist’s eye, such as him finding someone attractive (or passes his own personal standards) and/or having good chemistry with that person. So I could see him being into other Shizuns and whomever else. Personally I also think there is appeal in the unobtainable. It’s one thing to have someone’s affection (see LBG and his harem of 600 wives who definitely aren’t shy about giving him affection), but it’s another to know you’ve earned the affections of someone you really like and respect (especially if it’s someone thought to be unobtainable).

As long as the writer can provide a plausible justification for me to suspend disbelief and they set up events to justify it, I can swallow just about any ship possibility. It doesn’t necessarily have to be SJ’s type of personality. (For example, I read a very good fanfiction before where the writer paired Luo Binghe with Ming Fan. Ming Fan, people!!! And they actually pulled it off! What a madlad! Mind, it’s Shen Yuan who had transmigrated into MF in that premise, but the writer set up events that showed how these two characters came to bond and develop a deep friendship which inevitably had LBH developing a crush on his shixiong. I use this as an example because this is the type of unexpected (crack)ship, but because the writer did their work trying to make it seem plausible, we can only admire their hard work and effort at pulling it off.)

As the saying goes, there are plenty of fishes in the sea! As the protagonist, LBH/LBG can have many OTP possibilities with just about anyone as long as the writer can make it plausible. It’s all about the character development and the story/ central themes they wish to tell with the ship!
