congratulations on joining the murder club anon!!!! depending on who you ask the name refers to either people who have murdered or people who have witnessed murder. usually both. actually extremely often both. it's a swell time you'll feel right at home (don't mind our collective skyglass knife collection in the back)

#im still not far into nemesis personally but im very much enjoying it #honestly in a weird way it feels like it's moving faster than HD did. which. is funny bc nemesis is like The gated behind item grinds quest #idk. HD was a fun slowburn where we adventured around gathering our rogues gallery before the action kicked in #nemesis on the other hand feels like im picking up halfway through a batman serial #fallen london #ask #it's WAY more fucked up right off the bat than HD was. honestly ive thought abt red honey for ages. that's so fucked up #and we LEAD with that?? Okay #definitely a horrors-filled ambition befitting caeru (the guy who's constantly going through horrors)#it really encourages you to get fucked up and freaky and in ur character's headspace at basically every step along the way #i only have HD to compare it too but HD was like. a lot more interpretative in comparison? at least to me. that's what it felt like #and i adore HD for that dont get me wrong here #HD just also waited until like. halfway through before it asked what the scoundrel actually Wanted out of its heart's desire #nemesis in comparison is right off the bat who died? who are you mourning? anguish. justice. there must be vengeance.#it's a delightfully different vibe!! i like it!!!#oh god sorry anon im doing the classic yin talking way too much in the tags thing again #i havent had much excuse to talk abt nemesis and what i think of it so far and of course its rp effects on caeru #but i do have a handful of thoughts on it #it's good. im liking it so far. it's starting very strong if nothing else. and i have no spoiler knowledge of what happens in the future #beyond the choice between rewards at the very end #and im SO curious how we'll get to that point. what horrors will we adventure through next? off we go to find out!#it's biggest glaring weakness so far is how horrendously grindy it is. and like. ive been warned and done my research ahead of time #im doing it on the same account im seeking. i knew what i was getting into. but also gots damn.#in comparison HD's 5-card lodgings and dreamgate feel like footnotes #anyway while im already way too deep into rambling did you know the honey trip gives you fate?? insane. why does it do that. hilarious even

#courier micky #did I research railroad hand/lantern signals for this? Yes. Yes I Did.#a few nights ago as I was comin out of a dream #I suddenly had a very intense mental image of a western desert post-post-apocalypse set game #using steam locomotive driven trains that you flag down as the fast travel mechanic #along with mounts like horses and a motorbike to get around otherwise cause even half conscious I realized that could be a lil annoying #just as a gameplay mechanic #fnv but with more horses and trains (as it should have) and less nukes since the apocalypse for this setting felt like more of #climate and/or tech (either in the form of mass tech failure or a tech that ended up damn near destroying civilization)#so everything is hot and dusty and there's a cultural preference for non electric tech mostly as a justification for the steam choo choos #trigun 98 meets f:nv meets century of steam ass setting #and I think this might morph into Micky but with the serial numbers scraped off's new home setting #still a courier but instead of being a travelling medic he's a travelling engineer #both the train kind and the machinery and tech kind #puttin all this in tags cause it's still half baked and not ready to be spread around much methinks

watched the kdrama celebrity over the last few days. was hooked from the first few seconds bc the EDITING in the show, & just the cinematography in general is on a whole nother fuckin level, man.

also, just. a really great show in general. v good at building suspense & throwing loops & very nice themes/takeaways. also just a rly interesting way to convey those themes/takeaways.

i think the only issue we had w it was the romance, but. eh. it wasn't so bad that it took away from the ample amount of good shit in the show.

def recommend it!! especially to anyone who really enjoyed the glory bc it has v similar themes.

#mine #celebrity #celebrity kdrama #i think it's definitely a v interesting & SUPER fucking relevant for modern times exploration of jealousy in the modern age #it definitely felt v cathartic in a lot of ways for someone who has so much trauma surrounding jealousy being aimed towards me #& it resonated too as someone pursuing content creation #idk how the instagram grind is at ALL. ive literally never used instagram properly & rly have zero cares to.#but. all of the shit portrayed still resonates in any field of content creation #& i think its overall message of the dangers of modern jealousy in the digital age & esp the hatred in can create were done rly well.#i wish i could make it universally required viewing honestly. esp bc it's like. the message of not just the average person #but specifically ppl even in ur own circles can turn on u at the drop of a hat for such superficial shit these days.#ive heard a LOT of content creators sharing v similar experiences to ones portrayed in the show. esp the holier than thou attitude.#it def comes across as the creator did research or even has experience w these things themself bc damn. it's accurate.#and once again. THE EDITING IS SO FUCKING GOOD MAN #THAT OPENING SCENE I COULD WATCH FOREVER IT'S SO DAMN GOOD. AND SMOOTH. AND THE OP?!?!?!? #taks speaks #cat pics #bean #eeks #rosie #I never thought I’d have a group of matching gray animals #nor did I think I’d have more than just a dog #but two cats that came out of the damn wall #and now their brother is living on our porch #AND they’re all under a year old #WHERE DID I GET ALL THESE BABIES #…for free. from the woods. that’s where.#small town life is finding animals I guess #currently we’re in a state of figuring out if Rosie is fixed or not #she doesn’t have the little tattoo and if she has a scar is super small #but she’s likely about 7 months old now and should have a heat soon if she isn’t #but there’s a chance she was fixed as a tiny puppy #but on the same token she’s likely a purebred catahoula and we’re not really sure how that breed is treated #I mean it’s a hunting dog so it could go either way #which btw is immensely well behaved and easy to train #that dog is SMART #I’ve only really trained pit mixes and in a kinda half assed way #this dog is taking it so much easier than them #but at the same time this dog could be very mutt and part lab or pit or something #I don’t really know shit about the breed other than the research I did shortly after she showed up #Louisiana hound dog bred for hunting family and guard dogs. like a nice all around breed #idk but she’s pretty and smart. so. idc if she’s not purebred but damn this dog is perfect #and btw before anybody says shit. she’s being trained the classic way of treats and positive reinforcement

I think im only gonna plan my campaign up to level 10 then whatever happens happens. leaving the plot from there up to my players. your turn to weave the narrative bitch

#by which I mean. the campaign will suddenly shift from railroad to sandbox #there is a purpose and reason for it. and actually I am saying this because I planned this much and then realized #there IS no way to railroad anything after that #it is impossible for me to plan ahead what the party will do with what they know at that point #so. embrace it. their world now #well. in however long it takes to get there #this has been a post #this is why im tryna build the whole world before we start #like I could just be vague about it and only define the parts we need as we need them #but even the supposedly railroaded bits. how can I predict where and how they’ll go off the tracks?#and like a better question is WHY did I decide to build a whole damn world instead of using something prewritten #and well. the answer is quite simple. and also twofold #a) I haven’t found a prewritten campaign that I want to run (that someone isn’t already running for me)#b) there’s a specific element of this world I want to explore that can’t be transposed into an existing setting #so. here I am. researching Roman agriculture #dnd

AAAHH my god she's so incredibly talented from all #her research work as a silvermane guard and mechanic to rocking out in her own band and singing like a goddess. mad respect #to each one of her voice actors for that. especially Natalie because good heavens y'all her performance is literal perfection.#it fits serval so well and all the emotion you hear during her companion quest is phenomenal it makes me wanna cry. her #backstory with cocolia is heartbreaking yet she still manages to continue on and live her best life and im so happy and proud.#she's such a sweetheart to her siblings and chill and strong and straight up beautiful so yes OF COURSE i had to include #both light cones. she's my absolute favorite and i can do whatever i want on my birthday thank you very much! and that's #exactly why i started this whole edit series when i did so that the countdown would line up perfect with her landing on today.#also gave the other siblings a quote about their family so had to do the same with her. so i figured yeah why not both lcs? because #she deserves all the praise and definitely earned herself a spot in my heart for many years to come. i love her like crazy.

HUH???#they had a whole bunch of essays about that and everyone just had to ignore it cuz wtf were they on about #their argument kind of just turned into Everyone Is Bad Cuz They Let Lloyd Be A Ninja #and like. sure? but that’s just (LIKE THEY LITERALLY SAID) bc of the writers not realizing the implications. so it’s irrelevant #cuz it applies to EVERYONE man so WHY ARE WE DISCUSSING THIS. also why point to GARMADON do u think he WANTED LLOYD TO BE THE GREEN NINJA #WAS THAT NOT LIKE. HIS ENTIRE GOAL. Ykno, I think this is my first ITNL reread since things got... really bad for me

I've gotten to the parts I was working on during All Of That, and it's kind of distracting... 10 through 13 especially was......... rough.

I'm always gonna be remembering what my life was when I read these chapters, huh? It's just never gonna go away.

#speculation nation #itnl shit #i posted chapter 11 right before my uncle's health took a turn for the worst #so i remember being in the hospital room & rereading it #then i posted chapter 12 before visiting him in the little home setup he had #so i remember researching the effects of electrocution while sitting in the room with him & planning out chapter 13 #(which ended up being chapters 13 and 14. since it ended up Long.)#and chapter 13. i finished that chapter literally the day before i last saw him.#so i was reading and replying to comments while sitting by his side.#i was so preoccupied with poking on my phone i hadnt registered how much more subdued he was than the week before #barely talking. it was mostly an extended house visit. & i did what i always do and faded to the background.#i said goodbye to him. and the next day he was dead.#and im just... always going to remember these things. im always going to remember where i was when writing these.#chapter 14 took so damn long because i was so... depressed. oscillating wildly between manic and depressed #no real writing motivation...#and now here i am. fixing up a bunch of little mistakes throughout the whole fic. and taking a while because of it.#working on picking myself off the floor. regaining my motivation for the fic. fixing the things i didnt do so well on #because of the Everything that my life was...#15 and on will hopefully be a new period of my life. something hopeful. something engaging.#i want to stop being so... desolate. im really trying.#so. enthusiasm! yay! im working on it.#in the meantime im gonna be walking down memory lane. and so it goes.#negative/#death ment/#yyyeah #side effect of putting so much heart into my writing. it's inevitably going to leave markers of where i was at every point.#this can be a good thing and a bad thing. for This... it's... maybe not bad exactly. but difficult.#oh well. im just going to try my best...

They are also called 'Devils Hole Fish' in english #And 'Teufelskärpfling' in german which roughly translates to 'Devils finfish' in english #They are about 2 to 3 cm long which is like one or two inches I think? I have no idea about inches and all that #The individuals in this image are (as seen in the file name) male which can be seen in their blue color; in general they are silvery white #(with in general I mean outside the mating season; the female fish are silver all the time iirc)#They are endangered and only live in one place which is also where they were discovered around 1830? or 1890...or 1930? I hate numbers :(#it's one of those I'm sure #That place would be a limestone basin above a warm water source called the Devils hole (hence the name of the fish)#That water source is located 15m underneath the ground and the basin above it is about as big as a small room I'd say #People have tried to grow the population artifically but it failed which is tragic since the population in that basin is still declining #as far as I know at least; it's possible I missed something and it went back up again but last I knew there were like only... 110 of them?#This is because of a pump station located very closely to this Devil's hole (can you see I find that name is amusing?)#is stopping the water in that basin from rising; and therefore endangering the habitat of these fish #The close by Hover Damn is also responsible for this and researching this I did not expect this name to pop up #Fallout New Vegas follows me everywhere it would seem #And also! They eat diatoms which are some funky looking things as well! Algae if I remember correctly #I highly highly highly recommend looking at pictures of those #They are pretty pretty; trust me on this #Also; and feel free to ignore this; but these guys give me Mirage and V1 from Ultrakill vibes #based on the color mostly #Although really; show me anything blue and metallic and I will find a way to make it about them #Don't even get me started on color associations; I will not shut up and that is a promise #I could make one of those 5 hour breakdowns of why which shade of any color makes me think of the little idiots that occupy my mind 24/7

I know I’m supposed to be writing but instead I just got REALLY MAD at miles. And need to vent in my tags.

#ok so the difference between Miles’s cases in aa1 and Fran’s cases in aa2 are STAGGERING #Yeah they both accuse Maya of murder but god damn miles #his evidence (imo) is so much shoddier than Fran’s like oh my god!!!#yeah he has ‘witnesses’ and so does she but again #oh my god #if there’s a comparison post about them someone send it to me because I want to see it #all I’m saying is that one sibling just threw shit together and walked out in an ugly red suit and the other actually did fucking research #like I’m so fucking mad at miles all the time #especially because the death penalty is real in America #and they basically say that he’d do anything to win #how much blood is on his hands and do we ever talk about it in supplemental canon #you can argue that Fran is just as bad but need I remind you that Germany has no death penalty #yes convicting an innocent is bad #it’s awful #but you can set the innocent person free #you can’t bring back the people that miles may have falsely sent off to their deaths #fuck the judge too #and the entire court system #i like miles. i really do #but he angers me with this #and he still finds the time to lecture #I love him. but I hate him #I’m not tagging this
