This is slightly unrelated but this song reminds me even more of Asra because of a fanfic I’ve read (Hungry Work by creativeidiote on AO3, it’s very much smut so be warned) where it’s headcanoned that Asra used to call mc pet names that were just “my little (something literally anything)” like in this song and i thought it was really cute lol

Sirius would’ve. Sirius would’ve walked to the ends of the earth to find him. Except Sirius probably hated him now. Regulus wished he could take back all the words he’d screamed at Sirius for leaving him; for betraying the family. 

Thrashing around in the water - minutes away from death - Regulus understood. He understood why Sirius had left. He just wished Sirius would know what he’d done. 

There was a figure moving towards him in the water and suddenly Sirius’ face swirled into view. 

“He heard,” Regulus thought wildly. “He heard me. He came.”

Tears mixed in with the water choking Regulus. For a moment the water and the cave and the inferni disappeared. It was just him and Sirius. 

“Did you get enough love, my little dove, why do you cry?” Sirius cradled his little brothers face in his hands; gently wiping away the tears. Regulus couldn’t remember the last time someone had looked at him with so much love. Sirius was holding him so delicately, as if he were something precious that he wanted to take care of. “I’m sorry I left, but it was for the best, though it never felt right.”

“It doesn’t matter, it wasn’t your fault,” Regulus sobbed. “You’re here now. I did it for you you know. I didn’t want you to have to live in a world under him control. You were always too good for our family.”

“And I’m so proud of you ma petite étoile. I always have been.”

“You’re proud? You don’t hate me?” Regulus’ voice cracked slightly.

He’s proud. He loves me. 

Regulus closed his eyes and the water came rushing back to him. When he opened them again Sirius was gone. But it was okay. His brother loved him and was proud of him. Regulus didn’t need to fight anymore. He knew he could let go.
