Had a girlfriend named Sarah, but she died in an accident on the mainland two days after she was sent away from Sodor.

Enjoys going to the cafe just to get blueberry muffins, his favorite breakfast.

Will take Dilly (the duck) anywhere in public and would NOT GIVE A DAMN.

Coffee= Sleeping Beauty starring Donald

Has emetophobia (fear of vomiting) and has had that fear since he was 8

Is 24 years old

his favorite food is porridge with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas.

stuffies are family (Dougie too)

Thinks he's older when he's actually younger.

Everytime he and Douglas would get off work, Donald will immediately take a nap for a good 5 hours before getting a snack in the middle of the night and then going back to sleep.

Loves winter and would sometimes throw snowballs at Douglas just to piss him off.

Has sung SpongeBob songs at Karaoke night before (and hell do it again)

has a BIG appetite and will eat ANYTHING. Even if it isn't food.

He and Douglas are sleepwalkers, but Donald is the worst one. Example: Sir Topham Hatt woke up one night to see Donald on his front lawn in his underwear at 3am.

Douglas is an AMAZING chef. He learned how to cook and bake thanks to his mother and grandmother.

Is happily married to Oliver and adopted a daughter named Scarlett.

Somehow befriended Thomas and Rosie. Now they're a chaotic trio.

He and Donald always found Emily as a sister, and so she claims to be their sister.

Douglas and Emily always support Donald with Dilly, even going out in public wearing "Best Aunt and Uncle Ever" shirts.

Loves reading about Scottish folklore and would read some to Toad and Scarlett before bed.

He's the more chill one, until he goes on an adventure with Thomas and Rosie.

Has a strong immune system though ironically being stuck out in the cold for a long time once.

Give him coffee and he'll start bouncing all over the walls for HOURS.

Has a balanced diet. Usually haves salads for snacks.

No matter where Douglas hides his snacks, Donald always finds and eats them, pissing off Douglas.

He and James are work buddies whenever Donald falls ill

He got Oliver a weiner dog for Christmas. (Oliver always wanted a weiner dog)

Like Donald, he sleepwalks. It's usually not as bad as Donald's, but did wake up naked at Knapford once.

Some of these also kind of apply to my interpretation of canon. Well, actually most of them but that's a whole different thing.

Backstory: {redacted] [redacted] fire, mistaken placement of blame, [redacted] (You thought you coudl get spoilers? Gotta read the fic for that lol!)

Donald is older then Douglas. But Douglas acts slightly more mature so it evens out. Kind of.

Donald is quicker to anger, but Douglas builds his fury until he snaps (hard). Donald is also better at letting loose aand Douglas is more serious.

Donald is way more social and outgoing then Douglas. Donald knows way more about things like movies or local gossip. Douglas prefers keeping it quiet with a nice book, and lets his twin do the chattering. They both like a good prank though- they'll often pretend to be each other, especially if they know someone can't see their nametags.

Hownstly the easiest way to tell them apart (they like to match whenever possible) is by their reaction to a prank. Donald will prank you back but Douglas will just take and move on with his day. But he'll join in on it if Donald thinks up soemthing though.

they once went camping with the others, and shared a tent (along with Oliver and Duck). The twins went to sleep normally and woke up having tangled themselves into a literal pretzel of limbs and both Duck and Oliver were Not Very Happy because they'd also managed to shove the other two into the far corner.

They tend to sit back to back, or side by side wheenver possible- bit of a side effect from having to go on the run to get to Sodor with threat of permanant seperation. They don't mind working apart, it's part of their job after all, but they get a bit ants if they haven't heard from the other in a while. Especially if the other is going off the island for something. They try to check in with each other at least once a day, even if it's just to swap funny happenings from the day's events. The second Sir Topham Hatt knows this and will sometimes slip in a job that takes one past the other.

the singing. Oh gosh the singing. They know so many songs. They've picked up sea shanties from the sailors at the docks, country songs from working on ranches, folk songs from locals, pop songs from the radio. They're actually fairly good singers, but if you want quiet you won't get it from them. Douglas can actually play the bagpipes, and Donald picks up the accordian after coming to Sodor, so it's never quiet in their room, rest in peace Duck who's right next door. They sing while working a lot, and they only really stop singing if they're not feeling great or something's wrong.

which was why they only really started it with the singing after being signed under contract to the North Western.

they also like to sing sea shanties while shoveling snow. Keeps them in time and at a good steady pace. And it helps keep them warm, too.

probably won't write this in, but TTTE season 21 "Love Me Tender" sort of has an equivalent. Once, the twins were shoveling the snow and got into a disagreement over where to go. They split up, but Douglas soon found himself stuck in a snowdrift and unable to get out. At some point, Donald realized he still had Douglas' water falsk clipped ot his belt, and went back to find him, luckily finding him after a good bit of looking.

Donald uses DIlly like an emotional support duck. Because she is that breed of duck known for having big white bellies and Donald is a lot more stressed then he looks, between running every which way to take goods somewhere or fix a broken wheel axle.

Douglas doesn't have a pet he just sometimes borrows Dilly for the day. He likes going to the Vicarstown Public Library and taking out books about Donald Duck to read to Dilly.

a little birdy told me to request Oliver x Percy headcanons. (yes, it was Dilly.)

Them~

Percy and Oliver meet about a year after Oliver's arrival and his immediate overhaul. The Little Western always slows down in winter, and Sir Bertram Topham Hatt I decided that Oliver would be one of several seasonal spare engines moving up and down the Island where needed.

Percy of course had heard of Oliver's daring escape even before he was out and about again. So by the time of their first meeting, Percy had been DYING to come face to face with him at last.

One of the places Oliver first was transferred to was the Ffarquhar Branch, and this has been a frequent relocation for him since. This post explains this more from Thomas' point of view.

Percy was absolutely bubbling when he met Oliver, and actually had to slow himself down, he was just spewing with questions and compliments. Oliver was impressed and charmed to say the least.

Oliver and Percy both have long histories of passing relationships. Before coming to Sodor, Percy was a contractor's engine moving from job to job. This made him very appreciative and affectionate of anybody he latched onto, knowing they'd only be together for a year or two at most. Oliver meanwhile had many flings along his journey north to Sodor on a whim, he didn't know what could happen tomorrow and wanted to live it up with whoever wanted to live it up with him.

Oliver as I've said becomes soulmates with Douglas, and they marry not long after his arrival. But both are very trusting of each other, and aware of each other's... hot-blooded nature, and allow one another to have their little side pieces.

Percy was already crushing on the idea of Oliver before they even met, but he's smitten with the real thing. Oliver's pretty taken with Percy too: he's cute, doesn't mind getting dirty, has a wonderful sense of humor, is cheeky to a fault, doesn't stand for being pushed around too much, and has the most adorable habit of stumbling upon big words. (Is that last bit an act? Only he knows :3 )

Oliver first proposes that they try "dating," and Percy is for lack of a better term floored, accepting immediately.

Thomas, who was also "dating" Oliver at this time, wasn't used to such an arrangement, being much less experienced romantically, and for a time was very jealous.

Percy and Oliver are constantly being affectionate, it's almost shameful. Winks and blown kisses passing each other in station loops. Kissing between trains in the sheds. Complimenting each other's green paint repeatedly as a joke. This last one, if no one knew better, could have been designed specifically to infuriate Thomas XD

Percy adjusts immediately when Oliver packs up for the Little Western in spring, unlike Thomas, who undergoes something of a seasonal depression which he doesn't shake off until that summer.

Percy and Oliver have had several opportunities to work together since, not merely Oliver's routine winter stays. Both are ideal to dockyard work, being four-coupled tank engines. In the summer of 1975, Arlesburgh Harbour was yet again expanding, and Percy was over the moon to be with Oliver yet again. This project took especially long because of a lorry dispute, and Percy and Oliver didn't mind a bit, more time to be together. It took until winter of that year for Percy to be released, after which Oliver was able to follow him back home! 1975 was thus a very special year for the two. They were attached at the hip (frames?) and stole many kisses watching the ships come in and out.

They like to use Toad as a messenger whenever they're apart. ("I say, Mr. Percy! Mr. Oliver told me to tell you he sends his love!")

Kur'an'da dolduracağımız bu kısım için 'sahife' ifadesi kullanılıyor. Müfessirlerimiz de bu hakikati bize 'defter' üzerinden anlatıyorlar. Mesela diyorlar: 'Amel defteri.' Peki defterle kitabın farkı nedir arkadaşım? Birisi 'yazılır' diğeri 'okunur?' O kadar mı? Yok. O kadarcık değil. Şunu da düşünmelisin belki: Kitabı sahibi doldurur. Defteriyse emanetçisi. Yani: Kitap doldurulmuş olarak önümüze gelir. Defteriniyse o kitaba göre kendin doldurman gerekir. Eğer kitaptakilere göre doldurduysan incelendiğinde 'pekiyi' verilir. Öyle ya: Kalemi eline alıyorsan bir cür'ete girişmişsin demektir. Defterini kitaba göre doldurman gerek. Kitaba rağmen defter olmaz. Kainata bakıp hayatını onda tecelli eden esmaya göre yaşaman lazım.

Yani ki arkadaşım: Biz âlemin defteriyiz. Sayfa kenarındaki boşluğuz. Sınanıyoruz. Zalimliğimiz-cahilliğimiz kaçınılmaz. Çünkü kuşatamıyoruz. But the main attraction is mainly for female from Jewellery to shoes and clothing to furnishing. All hand made. Lockdown is extended and temperature is getting hotter day by day. Well what I meant is, how we think and get upset about it. How we consider this emergency as? How we quarantine ourself as? How we take it in person as? Eine Anthologie - Boston (6. Februar 2018)

Morgens zu frueh aufzuwachen ist kacke. Es gibt allerdings wenige Ausnahmen: Urlaub zum Beispiel. Da ihr hier etwas lesen koennt, ist auch eigentlich klar, dass es genau darum geht. Ich habe lange nicht mehr gebloggt und werde auch keine temporaere Regelmaessigkeit aufbauen, allerdings kann ich ja vielleicht meine Reisen dokumentieren und dort gemachte Erinnerungen manifestieren.

Heute geht es wieder nach Boston, wieder ueber den Umweg London und wieder sind die Umstaende wenn nicht skuril zumindest kurios. Mein Gastvater hatte zu Beginn der NFL PlayOffs behauptet, dass er mich nach Massachusetts einladen wuerde, um den Super Bowl zu gucken, sollten die New England Patriots gegen die Philadelphia Eagles spielen. Verrueckterweise ist genau das die Paarung des letzten Sonntags gewesen und noch verruecktererweise (ist das ein Wort?) hat mein Hostdad sein Wort gehalten und so ging es am Mittwoch um sieben zum Flughafen. Nicht ganz wach, nicht ganz nuechtern sollte ich um halb elf gen England fliegen. Zunaechst musste allerdings das Gate gefunden werden und, obgleich ich inzwischen ein Paar der diversesten und chaotischsten Flughaefen kenne (hust, Chicago, hust), sollte ich wieder etwas Neues lernen. Vor dem Gate erwartete mich eine - mir bis dato nur bei der Einreise bekannte - Passkontrolle. Warum das so ist, weiss keiner. Dies sollte allerdings mein geringstes Problem werden. In Heathrow angekommen durfte ich feststellen, dass mein eigentlicher Flug gestrichen wurde. Der naechste Flieger nach Logan ging zwei Stunden spaeter, also alles halb so wild. Warte ich halt fuenf statt drei Stunden in London. Meine Englischklausur wird es mir danken. Der spaetere Flug hatte allerdings auch ein entspanntes Stuendchen Verspaetung, hat also alles richtig Spass gemacht. Die Bierauswahl im Flugzeug lag dann zwischen Heineken und Amstel Light. Danke fuer nichts ...

Im Flugzeug angekommen merkte ich, dass meine Kopfhoererbuchse defekt war, Filme gucken war also nicht drin. So lernte ich bis zum Abendessen, schepperte mir danach ein 'Bier' und nen Rotwein rein und schlief, bis wir ueber Nova Scotia waren.

Es ist ein komisches Gefuehl, wieder in Boston zu sein. Die kleine Welt, die ich mir dort aufbaute, ist so nicht mehr vorhanden. Alle mir bekannten Au-Pairs haben ihr Jahr beendet, manche Menschen, die mir in besagtem Jahr sehr ans Herz gewachsen sind, sind fuer mich nicht mehr mehr als ein Bild an der Wand, manche sitzen zu Hause und studieren oder arbeiten. Meine Hostmum samt kleinem Monster ist umgezogen. Nur die Fassade ist gleich. Die ist dafuer aber sehr schoen.

Tatsaechlich sehr entspannt war die Einreisesituation. Ein Grauen war der Trip durch JFK in New York und auch Newark war nicht viel besser. Boston Logan hat allerdings den angenehmen Faktor, dass wiederkehrende Besucher sich am Automaten selbst beglaubigen koennen, danach mit amerikanischen Staatsbuergern dieselbe Schlange teilen und ich in weniger als 20 Minuten erfolgreich eingereist bin. Bei meinem Hostdad angekommen, gab es -ich darf es endlich schreiben- ein Bierchen, dazu ein Stueck Pizza, Hockey im Hintergrund und dann ein Bett.

Der Donnerstag fing ziemlich ereignislos an. Nach einer fruehen Lernsession gings zum Lunchen ins Rox Diner (aufmerksame Leser kennen das vielleicht schon/noch) und danach gings zu meiner Gastmutter, die in die Stadt zog, so dass sich, waere ich heute deren Au-Pair, noch viel mehr Chancen zum Verbrennen von Geld moeglich gemacht haetten. Der Kleine wurde mit einem Vorwand heimgebracht und war sichtlich verwirrt, verstoert, erfreut und ueberfordert, als er mich sah, so rannte er auf mich zu, um mich in die Arme zu schliessen, allerdings nicht, ohne vorher Jacke und Schuhe auszuziehen. Waere es damals doch nur so einfach gewesen ...

Es wurde viel herumgealbert, Familyroom-Football light gespielt und dann gabs auch schon Dinner und ein Bett. Freitagmorgen wurde mir direkt ein Schluessel in die Hand gedrueckt, damit ich mich frei in Boston bewegen koenne und nicht alleine in der Bude rumhaengen muss. Sehr aufmerksam. Es ist also Zeit fuer Shopping. Ich fand in meinem Portemonnaie noch ein altes, nicht verbrauchtes Bahnticket fuer Boston, und so ging ich -aufgrund des Umzuges meiner Gastfamilie mit Google Maps als Hilfe- zur Haltestelle, nahm die altvertraute Bahn und fuhr durch die Stadt, um alle anstehenden Besorgungen zu machen. UnPraktischerweise gab mir meine Hostmum aber lediglich einen Schluessel, sagte aber nirgendwo bescheid, dass das so ist und son guckte der Portier etwas verwirrt, als ich durch das Haus spazierte, als gehoere ich dorthin. In Begleitung meiner Gastmutter holte ich dann den Kleinen von der Schule ab. Die Lehrer erkannten mich tatsaechlich teilweise noch wieder, saemtliche Leute mit Symphatien fuer die Eagles klopften mir anerkennend auf die Schulter - Mein Gastkind muss wohl erzaehlt haben, dass ich nicht fuer das lokale Team sein werde und es war eigentlich ganz schoen, auch die anderen Kids mal wieder gesehen zu haben. Am Abend gab es dann Steak, es musste sich schliesslich so anfuehlen wie frueher.

Der Samstag sollte einer der spannendsten Tage meines Aufenthaltes werden. Tagsueber kam die komplette Familie aus New Hampshire angereist, um mich auch mal sehen zu koennen, was grossartig war. Offiziell betitelt wurde das Ganze als Brunch, aber unterm Strich war es ein Fruehschoppen (oh Wunder, bei dieser Familie). Am Abend ging es dann zum Eishockey mit meinem Gastvater, was ein absolutes Highlight war. Zunaechst trieb es uns in eine Sportsbar, wo ich ganz legal Bier bestellen durfte. Es fuehlt sich ein bisschen an, wie, wenn man als 16-Jaehriger bei Rewe an der Kasse steht und nach einem Ausweis gefragt werden moechte.

Die Tickets waren noch im Stadion fuer uns hinterlegt, also mussten wir ein wenig frueher da sein. Auf die Frage, wieviel mein Gastvater denn fuer das Ticket bekaeme, hat er nur abgewunken, erwaehnte aber im gleichen Moment, dass diese beiden Tickets zusammen wohl teurer waren als mein Flug. Es stellte sich heraus, dass wir VIP Karten hatten. Mit Kellner und bequemeren Sitzen. Neben uns standen die TV Moderatoren der Liveuebertragung und es gab Essen a la carte. Das Spiel selbst war eins der Besten, dass ich bisher erleben durfte und die kanadische Hymne hatte ich nun auch mal gehoert. Boston sollte das Spiel gewinnen und nachher ging es zurueck in die Bar, bevor wir uns Taxen riefen. Ich wachte auf und es war soweit: SuperBowl Sunday. Der Tag begann mit einem Basketballspiel meines Gastkindes, der eigentlich der Stereotyp eines Alles-ausser-Basketball-Spieler ist.

Ich beschloss, mich nochmal aufs Ohr zu hauen (was waere ein Aufenthalt in Amerika ohne Nap?!) und als ich aufwachte, wurde beschlossen, dass sowohl das Spiel als auch ein Playdate abgesagt wurde. Der Tag zog ins Land und wir schauten den SuperBowl. Nach Abpfiff war ich der einzig glueckliche Mensch des Appartments und ich wurde ein bisschen gehasst. Dilly dilly ...

Montagmorgen sagte ich dem Kleinen 'Auf Wiedersehen', bevor er zur Schule gefahren ist, hatte Lunch mit meinem Hostdad und meine Hostmum fuhr mich schliesslich zum Flughafen. Wenn ihr das lest, bin ich bereits gut in Düsseldorf gelandet.
