Okay, so I did a daily drawing of the original Dinobot, and I’m not too happy with it looking back. So I drew Dinobot II to make up for it! I like his design, but my god, don’t try to draw it. It’s hard…

Pulled some Decepticon last night in Earthwars, and I don't have Dinobot II, but he showed up and everything he said was "What have you done?" Over and over (I should have taken a screenshot)

quick collection of pics of all my Beast Wars and Beast Wars-adjacent transformers ! (i do not have good lighting in here lol). rambling about everyone under the cut:

first we have my Dinobots! he is my fav BW character so he gets to go first.

2009 Universe Dinobot was my first toy of him, got played with a Lot so his joints have gotten pretty loose. I love him a lot!! special little guy. I bought him new at the time.

the pride and joy of my Beast Wars collection is definitely the first wave on-card 1996 Dinobot, even tho the packaging is pretty damaged. that was a VERY lucky find at a flea market.

2 summers ago I found the loose 1996 Dinobot at a garage sale just a little ways down the street from the flea market where I found the on-card version. he is a little damaged and missing the mutant head and half the toes on one leg/arm, but it's easy to hide behind the "spinning cyber-slash weapon" haha. very happy to have a second i can display in robot mode!!

1999 Transmetal 2 Dinobot II was found at a different garage sale (maybe around 2012-2013?) where I found the rest of my original Beast Wars toys.he's in rough shape with loose joints and the metallic paint flaking off but i can tell he was played with a lot which makes me happy to think about. he's the tan color variant!

next up are the Cheetors! the Beast Wars ones were both found at the same garage sale as Dinobot II.

1999 Transmetal 2 Cheetor is missing his gun & missile and suffering from the same flaky metallic paint problem Dinobot II has.

1997 Cheetor is miraculously complete with both weapons and is in very nice shape?! he is the green-eyed variant!

2008 Universe Cheetor was my first of him, even though his robot mode has weird proportions I do like the design this toy has even tho it it strays quite a bit from the original. I bought him new probably around the same time as Universe Dinobot. it's been a while lol

then we have the 2014 Generations Rhinox & Rattrap! they both came with comic books which i know i have somewhere in the other room haha. i really like how close they got to the original cartoon designs with these guys. i know i bought these two new at Walmart most likely but i don't really have clear memories of that time haha

and then after that we have Optimus Primal & Airazor!

Optimus is 2020 War for Cybertron: Kingdom and I bought him off ebay on a whim recently when i saw a picture of the toy and was super impressed with the design. he looks so good!?!?!? got him loose but with his weapons & instruction sheet.

1997 Airazor is from the same garage sale as the aforementioned guys, she is incomplete and missing her weapon but otherwise in lovely shape and definitely one of my fav Beast Wars toys. i only recently discovered i had been missing a step in her transformation to robot despite it being a very simple toy.

next are some Predacons, finally! (sort of! tho the Dinobots sort of count too!)

2013 Generations Waspinator is the same story as Rhinox & Rattrap: has a comic, got him new but i don't really remember much of that general time. absolute stubborn bastard to transform bc he had a very stiff joint on the abdomen i was terrified of snapping so i actually took the screws out to move it safely haha

2012 United Beast Megatron is actually a Japanese import! he's not actually a Predacon either, he's got Decepticon emblems instead. not totally sure if he's meant to be Beast Wars Megatron or someone else but he is a purple dinosaur and that's good enough for me. bought him new online around 2012-2013.

and last are actually Transformers Animated but I count them as honorary Beast Wars collection members haha.

2008 Blackarachnia is another one of my oldest TFA toys, got her new at the store around the time. I do have her grappling hook thingy but i don't like how it looks on her so i've always displayed her without it. she's a really great toy overall, they really captured her cartoon look perfectly!!

2009 Waspinator I also bought new at the store around when he came out, I do remember like actively waiting for him to be released and checking the toy sections at Walmarts and Target whenever i was there with my parents haha. i love his little vestigal arms!! but his joints became loose very quickly and he does have trouble standing and holding a pose without flopping over and one of his insect legs loves to pop off for no reason. Wasp can't catch a break.

[ Ace & Steeljaw ]

Ace snorted, keeping her arms crossed but lips stretched to a smirk, "we don't agree on a lot of things actually,"

"I mostly disagree with him because I enjoy ticking this big ol' puppy off," she freely stated, jabbing a thumb in the wolfticon's direction who perked an ear up at the mention of the word "puppy".

"And plus," Ace paused, closing her eyes until the sounds of pedesteps slowly came within distance before she raised an optic-lid to say her awaited insult, "Steeljaw's plans suck, royally," The con shot both his ears up to the sky, rolling them back against his head to shoulder-up against Ace, nudging her almost, "hmph. I don't see you offer any grander schemes to the table and!--"

Steeljaw rose a claw to reason, "some of them do work,"

"I've heard Starscream of all cons make well-thought-out and more thorough plans than you," Ace replied, taking a moment to swat away their petty argument for another time. "But anyways, me and Steels definitely have a variety of differing opinions on things, it's sort of... A shocker that we're together," The scarlet femme noted, almost thinking back on how their relationship even blossomed in the first place. Her attention steered back to reality once two servos planted themselves delicately on her sharpened shoulder pads, causing her to glance up before the deception brushed his face closer to hers in an affectionate manner, "opposites attract, don't they?" He said, in an all-knowingly tone she despised yet adored, raising a snort from Ace.

Ace looked to Steeljaw, and Steeljaw looked back, "uh." The wolfticon quickly placed his input first, retracting away, "Ace is,"

She jolted, quirking an optical ridge, "after that display?!"

As Steeljaw slowly began to depart from the scene of his affectionate crimes to go tend to other matters, Ace continued to answer, now composed, "I mean-- really, it depends, we mostly like to keep a professional appearance at all times but," Her voice faded out while Ace rubbed the sides of her warming facial plates, blushing on her partner's behalf, "Steeljaw is indefinitely the more physical one. Touching and physical contact is weird to me but I'll only allow it to this one pain in the aft of an exception I've got,"

Which member is more verbally affectionate? ---

[ Dinobot II & Titania ]

"Meee," Titania sang without hesitation, gradually glancing over to the Predacon who made no attempts to deny her words, only responding with, "unless you consider threats a form of verbal affection, then I am," he sneered as the shapeshifter sighed, leaning on one hand, to explain, "Dinobot has said some nice things before but-- for his... Image, I won't reveal what they are," They said, side-eyeing the bot who'd continue to watch her every word and movement out of caution.

"But to answer, yes. I am the more verbally affectionate one out of both of us," the shapeshifter confessed.

How does each member feel about PDA? ---

[ Dinobot II & Titania ] (again)

Dinobot II crossed his arms, hissing between clenched teeth before spouting, "It's disgusting! Why would anybody commit to such twisted acts of affection, and in the view of the public eye?!" his voice steadily rose even while he turned to Titania for an answer as if she knew the answer. She could only smile and say, "I think PDA is very cute,"

The bot rose his optical ridges and gruffly huffed, looking away as Titania focused on the question and... Eyed at something particular,

"Dinobot...Like his original," She lowered her voice, still keeping her eyes tucked low, "likes maintaining his image a little so, I have to hold back a little and considering my trust with the other members of the Predacons, I wouldn't want my love to be viewed as a traitor," She explains, "In short, I enjoy it and perhaps, Dinobot does too," Titania answered, moving her leg to the side as the confined coils of Dinobot II's tail kept it in place, barely budging. Yet even so, it earned a small smile from Titania who ends it, "... He just doesn't realize it,"

Dinobot II - Resumo sobre o clone do primeiro Dinobot 

No passado, o líder dos Predacons, Megatron, tinha uma certa admiração por Dinobot, no entanto, essa admiração se transformou em antipatia quando o traidor passou para o lado dos Maximals, liderados por Optimus Primal, descendente de Optimus Prime, comandante dos Autobots. Megatron então decidiu que nunca aceitaria tal indignação, então ele passou a criar uma nova versão do Dinobot através da tecnologia Transmetal 2, assim nasceu o Dinobot II. Leal e subserviente a Megatron, Dinobot II é uma arma viva sem honra que o líder Predacon lança contra os Maximals a seu bel prazer. Megatron diria a última palavra no legado do velocirraptor. Ou então ele pensou. Mesmo que a faísca de Dinobot seja tecnicamente metade da de Rampage, alguns ainda se perguntam se resta alguma coisa do Dinobot original dentro do clone dele.

Atenção Spoilers. Recomenda-se assistir a terceira temporada de Beast Wars

Dinobot II apareceu pela primeira vez no 5º episódio da 3ª temporada de Beast Wars, “Feral Scream: Part 1”. Dinobot II foi criado em uma noite tempestuosa em um dos grandes experimentos de Megatron, que usou uma protoforma em branco, células clonadas do Dinobot original, uma parte da centelha de Rampage e a energia do driver Transmetal. Mais tarde, no episódio “Nemesis: Part 1″, Dinobot II acompanhou Megatron quando o líder Predacon descobriu o grande segredo que Tarantulas vinha guardando: a espaçonave de batalha Decepticon submersa, mas operacional, a Nemesis. No episódio “Nemesis: Part 2″, depois que Rampage foi destruído por Depth Charge, em algum tipo de acerto de contas subaquático, alguma coisa aconteceu com Dinobot II. Ao passo que centelha dele de alguma forma estava completa, a consciência do Dinobot original tomou conta dele. Memórias do guerreiro caído, bem como seu código de honra e moralidade vieram ao cérebro eletrônico de Dinobot II. Incapaz de se livrar dessas memórias e o que elas significavam, Dinobot II traiu Megatron, desafiando o desejo do líder dele em destruir a aldeia dos antropoides, e enviou para os Maximals informações sigilosas sobre a Ark, a espaçonave de batalha dos Autobots. Enfurecido, Megatron atacou Dinobot II, lançando-o em direção de Optimal Optimus e pretendia utilizar o canhão da espaçonave Nemesis mais uma vez, até que Rhinox, pilotando a espaçonave Autobot, acertou o líder Predacon em cheio, o impacto acionou a auto-destruição da Nemesis, Optimal Optimus implorava a Dinobot II para que se salvasse, no entanto, ele disse as palavras de despedida: “Adeus, Optimus Primal”. No fim, Dinobot II morreu como um guerreiro honrado, assim como o predecessor.
