The interesting thing about Gobbowl culture in Ankama media (and probably the aspect that most resembles irl football) is the fact that the interest it draws comes less from the sport itself and more from there being players the fans can idolise and obsess over.
Tumblr media
Khan Karkass summed it up best: people don't come to matches to watch them play, they come to watch him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gobbowl fans care more about their favourite player than the sport itself. In fact, for the most part they care more about their favourite player putting on a show for them than them playing well.
And this is something that's been present in all iterations of the franchise, in the different eras (except for Waven, but the game's not quite there as far as I'm concerned).
Back in Wakfu season 1, there was Kriss Krass, who was massively popular, even when I seem to remember he didn't even play in the first division back then.
Tumblr media
Moreover, his main flaw was being a complete showboat, but it was precisely because he knew his fans cared more about him putting on a good show than about the actual outcome of the game. I mean, the man held back from utterly cursbtomping the opposite team just so he could keep the game going for as long as possible and his fans wouldn't get bored!
Then season 2 introduced Maude as the Masked Gobbowler. In Brâkmar. Where women aren't even allowed to watch Gobbowl.
Tumblr media
And, sure, one of the main reasons she hid her identity was precisely because if she was found out, the lightest sentence would be her being banned from ever playing again, with the highest sentence being... Well...
You know...
Tumblr media
But that doesn't change the fact that Brâkmar holds their best player in such a high pedestal the Masked Gobbowler had a say in legal procedures and how to deal with the accused party of a trial. With no one, not even the Prince of Brâkmar, daring to refute.
And in the end, after Maude proved just how amazing her technique is by saving the city alongside Kriss from the Mmmmmporg's rampage, Brâkmar started treating having a girl as their best player as a badge of honour (if only because they thought it proved their superiority over Bonta).
Tumblr media
And then we have the Dofus Era with Khan Karkass.
Tumblr media
Khan, who was introduced looking for new team members with the sole purpose of making himself look better, because that's what the fans wanted. They wanted Khan. Everybody else was little more than a living prop meant to make him shine.
His fame was so great that you could say it overshadowed even Jashash's. Because even though the match was supposed to commemorate him and his sacrifice, what everyone really came to see was Khan play. Even the announcer gave so much more importance to Khan's presence over Jahash's feats.
And, again, the fans seemed to care much more about Khan as an icon than they did his actual skills. Now, don't get me wrong, Khan genuinely was a talented player, more importantly, one that recognised true talent. And Marilyn possessing his body and playing bad on purpose was a great factor in the fans' disillusionment over him during the climax.
However, it should be pointed out that what horrified them first was Marilyn shaving Khan's hair. Because that simple action shattered their ideal image of him. If they truly cared more about the sport, they wouldn't have even batted an eyelash.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Again, this is a reflection of real life, where the moment a famous player makes a drastic change to their appearance, social media is already flowing with comments about it).
But no. They were horrified because they idolised Khan as a source of entertainment much more than they liked the actual sport, and his hair was his trademark. Getting rid of it was getting rid of what made Khan an object of envy and desire. And Marilyn, as fellow Khan Karkass Stan and scorned admirer, knew that. He knew it better than anyone. That's why he did it.
And I don't know wny I chose to fixate on this today and overanalyse a relatively small aspect of the franchise. I just guess this is all a neat piece of world building.

Omg let me just say that THAT was the best Joris and Kerubim analysis I have ever read in my LIFE. And you ended it on a perfect note because this is exactly what we see: after everything Joris went through, he never left. This is not only the best analysis I’ve read on these two but it’s also the saddest. Good job for pulling on my heartstrings 😭
The big analysis of Joris Jurgen's horrible-no-good childhood.
TW: discussions of child neglect, and what might constitute as emotional abuse.
Firstly, to address something, I hadn't in the last liveblog: There are plenty of times in the show where one can see Joris saying things that he may not entirely mean...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But it is especially interesting to see him say something like this immediately after breaking down into tears about it just a scene prior.
Hm. Anyway. I'm sure this won't affect their relationship going forward.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've discussed Kerubim's issues of self-worth, loneliness, and dishonesty, before on this blog, — but you will never believe it, Kerubim isn't the only one who suffers because of his issues.
It's nigh time we discuss seven-year-old Joris, and the terrible, no good, case of emotional repression and lying.
Let's set the stage first.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joris grew up in a deeply isolated and neglectful, and at times dangerous, environment, in every single way. And the child neglect Kerubim engaged in lessened, but did not stop after Simone arrived.
He did not have any family members besides Kerubim, — for obvious reasons, both of their family members are either dead, or want nothing to do with them, — and he did not have any friends, besides Tatak. The reason he did not have friends is unknown, but there are several factors that may have contributed to that:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sorry state of their house might have complicated his relationship with other kids and given him and Kerubim a poor reputation among neighbours;
The part of the city they live in might simply not have a lot of families, due to being a — being, perhaps, mostly populated by adventurers and other people in violent professions, as well as the shops that cater to them (which are, in turn, mostly ran by retired adventurers).
And then there's the third thing: Kerubim is his best friend.
Tumblr media
Joris did not have a support system in the form of an extended family, — or at the very least, in the form of friends outside the household, — and It doesn't seem like the other adults Kerubim knows were at all involved in Joris's childhood. Besides that, Joris was seemingly homeschooled, — and, considering Kerubim's finances, and his referencing at least one school's existence, there were other options.
For the large part of Joris's life, they only had one another, and it almost seems like Kerubim, with his abandonment issues, and low self-esteem, acted in ways that isolated Joris further.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Due to Ecaflip's mistreatment of him as a child, and his loneliness due to the death of his family when he was a child, — what he wanted the most as a father was to be a best friend to Joris.
(And, much more selfishly, not that he would admit that, — he wanted someone to replace Lou/Indie/Atcham/Bashi/Everyone else who has left him.)
He could remember being a child, and he knew how he would have liked to be treated, — as a peer, obviously. It's important for peers to respect each other equally, and listen to each other's pain, right?
Tumblr media
Except, in a way, Kerubim is perpetuating a cycle here.
Tumblr media
And children are not peers, best friends, or caretakers. They depend on their parents for their survival.
And Joris knows what will happen to him, if Kerubim is gone. Kerubim himself was an orphan, and has shared more than enough stories about that.
Because of this, thoughts of Kerubim passing away are a usual worry for Joris, no doubt fueled by Kerubim's dramatics, and love for his attention — and it means he'll do everything to make sure Kerubim is happy and healthy.
Even if it means sacrificing his own comfort for his sake. Even if it means putting up with being treated badly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joris and Kerubim have what is known as an "enmeshed", or "codependent", parent-child relationship, the characteristics of which are, according to online resources:
Parents expecting children to be their best friends and always confiding in them.
Children receiving praise for maintaining the family’s status quo, and conflict-avoidant behaviours.
The lack of emotional and physical boundaries.
Role reversal, in the form of the child being expected to take care of the parent's mental health. (Despite lacking the maturity to)
Children prioritizing parents needs and feelings over their own.
Childhood overindulgence, in the form of the parent using the child for wish fulfilment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another interesting titbit that informs his character, is that, from a very young age, children learn how to respond to their feelings and express them, based on the way adults behave, by mirroring those behaviours, — and Kerubim is anything but honest about his feelings, more often than not, putting on a brave smile.
Joris values his stories more than anything, despite knowing that, often, they may be fake, at least in some parts. To him, words matter more than the truth of the matter, when push comes to shove between them. But also, he doesn't like outright lies, which are just as plentiful between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite how he may usually act, Joris isn't really the happiest about how their family is. He knows that Kerubim is dishonest and neurotic, and, in a way, it causes dissonance in his mind. He loves him more than anything, and to trust him, — but he knows that to trust Kerubim is to be disappointed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When something bad happens? It's a guarantee, that instead of being comforted, it will be his job to pretend to be comforted, so that Kerubim doesn't completely fall apart. So that he can still be taken care of, — and every child wants to be taken care of.
Yet another thing he can't really trust Kerubim with.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just like Kerubim, he is growing up to be a good liar. And someone very much afraid of being abandoned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But everyone has their limit, fear of abandonment or not. No matter how much you repress these feelings, they'll come bubbling to the surface eventually.
Tumblr media
...An interesting tidbit about children raised in enmeshed relationships, is that, at times, as adults, they find it difficult to trust others, open up to people, or have close friends in general. Due to guilt of those people on the outside not being their family, and due to associating close relationships with pain, responsibility, and giving up a part of themselves.
They grow up to be aloof, flighty, and cold.
Tumblr media
Another interesting tidbit is that, sometimes, they find themselves unable to leave at all.

My second pipeline of future ideas: Part 1
As of right now, I'm making an analysis on Noximilien Coxen the Watchmaker from Wakfu, and it's going pretty smoothly, I should be able to publish it as of tomorrow.
In the meantime, I thought about making a second survey to see what each and every one of you wants to see first between these projects:
Lord Shen's horrifying humanity: an analysis of Lord Shen in the same vein as my Tai Lung's one; I've recently rewatched both of the Kung Fu Panda movies after so many years, AND IT WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD. While watching the second one, however, I've noticed something that I've never seen: how the film focuses so much on Shen's emotional state, and how it helps him to become one of the greatest baddies in all of animation.
Doll and Andrew Graves comparison: remember all the times when I've said I was going to make a comparison post between Nox from Wakfu and Doll from Murder Drones? Well, I'm still going to do that once episode 8 is out, but in the meantime, since both The Coffin Of Andy And Leyley and Murder Drones are unfinished products, I thought, sure why not? My only hope is to get the Andrew part right, I'm especially worried since there're new pieces of information regarding Julia and Rene that I still haven't seen, so I might need to get my facts checked.
How and Why Liam Vickers wrote Doll as a rather unsympathetic character: I feel like, when you really love something, you must be able to criticise it. And this is exactly the goal of this analysis, as I break down all of the problems with Doll's writing right from the conceptual issues down to her future and legacy.
Female villains tier list: a long time coming, and still a long time in the making. The problem is that I've accidentally published it ahead of time only to then remake it from scratch and still accidentally publish it, again. Also I've decided to watch the Kerubim movie to see if Julith was as good as I've heard. I imagine so, since it's a Wakfu antagonist, but I have to wait and see.
Dark Vlad analysis: I want to make an analysis on every main antagonist of Wakfu, and since I can finally watch season 4 and maybe the movie, that includes Toross and Julith. But there's one minor, one-off antagonist that I also want to talk about; what is, in my opinion, the best villain from season 3 and the single greatest twist villain in all of fiction: the title itself is actually misleading, as I'll be talking about Goultard himself.
To find a way to spend the time while the survey ends, I'll be writing about the insanely untapped potential of Rebecca from Murder Drones.
@rad10active-ketchup , @rebecca-babe , @zobjilan77 , please, send me your ideas if you want to see them discussed as I'm not normally a Rebecca fan so I could use some help to get everything right.

Nox (Wakfu): How to Avoid a Moral Debate
Tumblr media
A recurring problem I see in fiction is a villain who presents a moral debate for the hero. A villain with a motivation you can understand or even agree with... until the writer decides to make the villain do something heinous to prevent the audience from rooting for them (which you see in Wakfu with Oropo).
Nox from the same series is known for being a villain that many audience members actually root for. His goal is simple: gather enough energy to rewind time to save his family from dying. The method for doing so is far more complicated: needing to sap the life energy (wakfu) of (probably) billions of lives. He wants to go back 200 years in time (yes, he's that old, don't ask how), meaning he believes he will need to essentially genocide the world to reach his goal.
He justifies himself by saving that the successful time rewind will undo all of his murders and that a failure (presumably disrupting the fabric of time and space) means nothing to him. Horrible actions for an understandable cause. But you may ask, how do the heroes tackle this moral debate? Do they try to make him see the error of his ways? Do they argue his goal is impossible and he's simply living in the past?
Nope. They don't know his goal. He only really tells it to one person, who doesn't live long enough to tell anyone else. Nox doesn't want to be debated. He is already convinced he is right. He doesn't feel the time nor the energy is needed to argue his ideals, he must focus on his goal. And when he fails (only going back 20 minutes) and breaks down crying, the hero Yugo only then begins to understand that Nox is not this pure evil demon that Yugo thought he was. That is how you avoid a moral debate: by having a villain be so convinced they are right they focus on achieving their goal rather than feeling the need to convince others they are right.

Dog i watched this analysis over cloud strife's mental illness and perception and lowkey it got me thinking about naz
Like
i know at first glance he's perceived like this edgy emo aloof mf type, but like He's really not he's just extremely socially awkward and even a little stunted
And it relates back to the video in the sense that cloud has this false persona that he takes up to make himself seem stronger and as a coping mechanism And ngl that reminds me of naz too because in the stasis arc he has to toughen up and ascend past mortality so he can unstigmatize stasis, even if he didn't want to
So like Cloud pretends to be a genetically modified state of the art SOLDIER and Naz pretends to be a natural deity and it becomes a coping mechanism for both of them, to the point where they lose their sense of self
And both have ptsd, that presents itself in really similar ways
Like
aloof usually
struggles with social cues
typically pushes loved ones away if hurt
reverts to masking if perceived to be in harm
and then like both of them have to work to be able to let their facades fall down and both of them are kind of a deconstruction of the "cool strong aloof protagonist" because while they can be strong and they can be aloof, in the end they're both country boys who grew up with mental illnesses and never recovered while gaining more trauma and mental illnesses
And also like they have to work to even trust people that deem themselves as their friends because their sense of trust is so damaged that it's hard to take people like that at face value
Add in the fact that Naz can't save myn no matter what he does and Cloud can't save aerith no matter what he does, and we have ourselves another parallel
also the fact that in advent children/ in Naz’s canon,
cloud struggles with geostigmatism, which i tend to perceive as a chronic pain problem.
Naz also has a sort of chronic pain problem, in the form of stasis chains, as well as tremors.
The way they both deal with these issues is similar too, with cloud isolating himself from his family, and Naz isolating himself from everyone else. They both don’t feel worthy enough to rely on anyone else for help with their struggle, as some people with mental illness are known to do, myself included. Moving away from this and back to my other point about masking, they are shown to occasionally let their own personality shown through the cracks of their mask and it’s entirely different then the one they’ve built up.
for instance; cloud is a little dorky and sarcastic, and honestly seems a little shy at times.
meanwhile naz is more playful and gentle, extremely caring and affectionate when in a space where he can’t keep up the mask.
idk they just. Remind me so much of eachother.

Hey !
Longtime follower here ! I'd love to get your insight on an issue, and I know I can count on you, when I read all your detailed and well written responses.
One issue plaguing the YJ community is the infamous debate of the timeskips, I personally think it didn't do any favors for YJ. I would have preferred to keep the one season, one year format, while progressing in the main subplot (Vandal savage VS Darkseid VS JL& The Team).
What's your take on this ? What would your plan of each season look like ?
Thank you for your ask and following me :)
As you could have seen, I love Young Justice writing! That's why it's even funnier and more interesting to analyse!
About the time format, I think YJ shouldn't limit the story to happen in one year just to mimick the first season, but has a rythmn according to the story's needs. But I can see the appeal of keeping the same formule so to speak to write the story. But I wouldn't let limit me and my creativity to tell the story and the pace it needs. As a writer, let's say the series is a book saga and the tied-comics like short novels to explore more the universe and the characters but with stories that are shorters than for the main saga. That is what I'm planning for my own work :)
That was the short answer, let's keep going for the long one! :D
For the timeskip. There is good and a bad consequences from it. The good is it's flesh out YJ world and make the DC lore in one coherent world. The characters continue to grow between big events happening in seasons, just like real people.
The bad consequence is for us, viewers, as we are a little lost at the beginning of the season about the changes. But we need to keep in mind that YJ was supposed to be a multicanal storyline with the series but also videogame (where Tula dies) and comics. Young Justice should have more tied-comics to explain and explore the stories between seasons and to develop more specitic characters who don't have a lot of screen time. But the main problem is DC Universe now Warners Brothers don't invest much in Young Justice but instead make DCU movies and we know the quality of them compared to YJ and the animated films (that I 100% recomand if you didn't watch them yet!!).
My plan is the last season seems to be a building for a supposed (let's hope!) five season with Darkseid and Vandal as the main antagonists and each sub-story of the 4th season was to build it up and explain to us the many changes there will be between season 3 and 5 so we won't be lost like at the beginning of season 2 and 3. So it feels like season 4 was the first part of season 5 if you see what I mean?
I don't know if you know this series as it's a French one but Wakfu (it's on Netflix if you want to try it ;) ) has a similar storyline with a main series which will end with its 4th season on January, OST that could be a long film and a manga series. But the same universe also has an online videogame WOW-like called Dofus, a manga series with the same name, films and series with different characters, sometimes at different time periods. You can read the Dofus manga or watch only Wakfu and you won't feel lost about the story. Because it's not made like the MCU where you have to see multiple series on Disney+ just to watch one film on theatre...
Wakfu works because it's the same studio who makes all of that (their name is Ankama). Young Justice is a gold pile the producers are sitting on because they don't invest on it... If the writers have the whole freedom than Anakama has, we wouldn't feel bad about the timeskips because we would have more content to fill the gap :)
I hope that answer your ask and give you another point of view :p

Analysis of Wakfu and Yugo’s character:
Honestly, had it been given a more cohesive platform, Wakfu could’ve fucking slapped
Due to the whole story needing to be consumed via show, comics, webtoons, games and OVAs, a lot of it gets jumbled or rushed, making the story inconsistent with its quality and themes and leaving a lot of consumers in the dark due to not knowing critical context. But the actual concept? Absolutely amazing
A boy who’s sent on a journey of finding his real family, discovering he comes from dragons and gods. And not just any dragons or gods: the creators of the goddamn UNIVERSE. (A fact I consider to be incredibly underutilized honestly)
And as he comes into his powers the challenges and the trials become more and more dangerous and more and more and complex, he follows his moral code, despite the nuance of the situation. He’s incapable of changing who he is and what he must do. And it leads to him playing god, an act with consequences that are repeatedly foretold to destroy the world. But it didn’t matter how many times people warned him, he NEEDED to save his friend from Ogrest, he NEEDED to keep the Dofus, he NEEDED to stay to fight the Necromes, he NEEDED to share the Mechasm heart’s power. All these actions may have consequences that are devastating but not to take said actions would have been a betrayal of his character, a fundamental change in who he is. He can’t see the bigger picture like Echo, he can’t fully grasp the consequences like Toross, he can’t detach himself like Adamaï. He can only act in the moment to do what he thinks is right, and now the world is going to flood and thousands will die.
Absolutely incredible

About Goultard's Dissociative Identity Disorder
This post is a collection of thoughts, analysis, wild extrapolating, reading too much into small details, and pure speculation. Please forgive how messy this is, this whole post might be uncomprehensible.
Some things Goultard says about the system
- he created it to make immortality bearable
I truly dont believe he means he consciously created his alters. He can hardly control them. They were a creation of his mind as a means of coping with / surviving the various traumas he faced throughout his life.
- it's a curse given by his father
Either the "curse" he speaks of is immortality itself, or he holds his father and god responsible for what he's had to go through (without him ever protecting or saving him)
The Alters
Goultard : Apparently Normal Part, Host. He's aware of the system. But sometimes partially forgets about it and how it functions.
I assume he has pretty unreliable memory. Sometimes forgets where he is, how he got there, what he was supposed to do, he can forget about things that happened or that he did etc...
Classic dissociation + can enter a kind of hibernation/complete dormancy and sleep for weeks, months, years, when needed or out of boredom.
Vlad : Emotional Part. Formerly unaware of the system, now aware of it (or at least aware of goultard being the host) embodies anger, exteriorizes unresolved rage and resentment by violently lashing out until the body has calmed down.
Somewhat naturally takes a protective role without really meaning to, taking control when certain emotions become too much to bear for the host, redirecting the violence outward instead of inwards.
First fronting triggered by Algathe's death.
Vald : Between Fragment and Apparently Normal Part. Not aware of the system. Too little experience and time fronting to pass as a fully formed individual (but people usually assume he's just stupid). In a way, his role IS to be too stupid to feel sadness, or anything much. But could develop into a real ANP if given the chance.
Born out of a desire for numbness. Possibly related to missing the crimson dofus after it was taken away from the system?? The whole system seems very attached to the crimson dofus, yearning for its warmth, letting its power consume them from the inside out.
How they form
Vlad and Vald didnt suddenly appear because of a single event each triggering them into existence. Rather they formed slowly and over extended periods of time from more or less specific needs, locked away in the confines of the mind before being awakened and forced to front by a triggering event causing a switch.
The underlying cause of the disorder being the hundreds of years spent inhabitated by a symbiotic shushu, manipulating his emotions and sense of self, slowly fracturing it over time.
Other Alters ?
There could potentially be more alters staying in hiding, unbeknownst to Goultard (and the rest of the system)
The differences between the way goultard acts in dofus and in wakfu, specifically emotionally, could imply a split happened between dofus and wakfu. A new identity that hasnt fronted yet would have taken these aspects that the host no longer has.
Most probably caused by losing arty, goultard's love for him was what freed him from the demon after all.
Goultard now hides in order to cry, when he used to feel no shame crying nuzzled in Arty's arms.
This would have been exacerbated by Goultard being put into a role of mentor and caregiver to Tristepin, worsening his emotional repression (that a new emotional part could have formed to embody instead).
Tristepin being the reincarnation of his father, whom he has conflicted feelings about, and having his children brutally murdered in the past, explain why he'd want/need to keep him at a distance, wanting him to not think of him as family, only as his mentor/master.
Edit : I forgot to mention his habit of self-isolation, just imagine I did

Julith, Bakara, and Amalia: History Repeats
If you think about it, Amalia's arc in the webtoon is eerily similar to both Julith and Bakara's roles in Dofus Book 1: Julith.
Like Bakara, she holds a very deep and personal grudge against her sister-in-law partly because of the role she played in her brother's death; that is to say, Aurora and her family's inaction during the Necro War factored in Armand having to sacrifice himself in order to protect the Sadida Kingdom. Meanwhile, Bakara blamed Jahash's death solely on Julith because she was raised to believe she had caused everything in the first place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which made both young women see Aurora and Julith, respectively, as nothing but traitors. Because even if Amalia never outright calls the Osamodas as such, it is made pretty clear throughout several points in the story that's what she really thinks of them, as she repeatedly pointed out their abandonment of the Sadida at the Necros' hands.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's also worth pointing out that what sets Amalia apart from Bakara is the fact that the former has a legitimate and justified grievance against Aurora and her family, unlike Bakara's grudge against Julith, that turned out to be nothing but a ploy orchestrated by a third party. Because, even though the Osamodas weren't responsible for directly harming Yugo, they did betray the Sheran Sharms and their kingdom by going against their word and not sending help while Aurora actually fled from the fight, whereas Julith never betrayed Jahash and was even trying to save Bonta before she was attacked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, on the other hand, like Julith, now that she's lost so much (her father, her brother, part of their forests, so many innocent lives at the hands of the Necros...), there is nothing Amalia isn't willing to do for the sake of what she holds dear—her kingdom and Yugo. Just like Julith abandoned all morals in order to reunite with Jahash and try to rebuild their lives with their son, which led to her abandoning all qualms about making others suffer after what she herself went through.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And it's precisely the possibility of losing Yugo and her people at the hands of someone she knows doesn't care about them, and whom she thinks are capable of anything to achieve their goals, that causes Amalia to lash out and brutally attack the Osamodas in retaliation for their perceived involvement in her husband's poisoning, not unlike how Julith forewent all empathy after losing Jahash, perfectly willing to sacrifice hundreds of lives for his own.
In a way, what all three women have in common is that their most morally questionable actions are a direct result of being hurt and betrayed in the past, and the deep love they feel for someone and/or something propelling them to take those actions in the first place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I guess this all comes to show that Julith's involvement in the webtoon makes more sense than I originally thought, at least, if they intend to prove me right and draw more parallels between her and Amalia in the future. But more importantly, it shows how love and hate are extremely volatile emotions, two sides of the same coin that can lead to terrible consequences.

This is insane new lore to me, since I never really knew any lore surrounding dofus dungeons. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
Though it does create some issues with the backstory proposed by the Dofus Heroes: Kerubim, as far as I understand it. And the surnames, as was noted. I hope the devs actually thought about this... I do love Varvara though, now that I know about her.
Since it's not out, I would regard this as dubious canon/semi-canon (though tbh with how many game related media doesn't fully mesh together or gets fully/partially recognized (the xbox game, wakfu guardians, wakfu raiders) the canon is in the eye of the beholder) but I suppose we'll see where it leaves us, if that game ever releases.
I think it'd be funnier if Atcham and Kerubim's was a random ecaflip woman, who wasn't at all important, but, at the end of the day, if this does become canon, then I suppose it doesn't have to change much. Kerubim and Atcham were probably, uh. adopted as infants into the Crepin family in the fallout of The Divorce, and all the Crepins, — whoever they might be, — all of their their adoptive siblings and parents, proceeded to die, in some horrid and traumatic way, as Kerubim said in the Heroes comic. (my personal pet theory is that Ecaflip is to blame, but shh.)
In that case, and this is the most logical case between the comic and this game — my write up/theorizing on the familial drama between Atcham and Kerubim, and my thesis statement, would still work. (The thesis statement being, as my 3 posts say, "Kerubim adopting Joris is so fucked, since Keke also lost his parents. His relationship with Atcham is so sad too. It's fucked and sad and insane that Joris is so similar to both of them. Insane that Atcham was probably heavily mistreated in the Orphan temple, after also losing his family, since both of them are Crepins, and it's so sad that he hates Keke because of all this baggage.")
Sorry for typing so many words, and thank you for replying to something I wrote with additional info!
The Crepin-Lore Manifesto.

It is the end of the semester, and I have assignments due, finals to get ready for... So, obviously, I wrote the longest trio of posts in my blog's entire history.
In this little (lol) character analysis/information compilation, I will try to show you that:
1. That something really indescribably weird/evil is going on with Kerubim Crepin and Atcham Crepin's history, because really, we don't know a lot about their childhood, but what we do know, doesn't paint a pretty picture.
2. They are very fascinating characters, especially Atcham, and their story is underappreciated, or entirely unknown in the greater fandom.
Besides that, I also to make some obscure info, from side-media, more accessible.
However, this part of the analysis will be about common misconceptions and background information that will inform the rest of the analysis.
Tumblr media
"Are they really full-on brothers?"
When I was rewatching Wakfu last year, I asked this, since I hadn't really thought about it.
The answers I got were very... diverse, and more confusing than anything. Most wikis listed them as "brothers or half-brothers", which added to the confusion.
However, 3-4 rewatches of Dofus + getting deep into the franchise later, and I know the answer.
Yes. They are full brothers, without any ambiguity on the question.
They share both a father - God Ecaflip, and a mother - an unknown mortal woman who's last name was Crepin.
Tumblr media
Atcham's full name is Atcham Crepin. He does not contest it, and Dardondakal has no reason to lie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, as a second, slightly more ambiguous piece of evidence, Kerubim implies here that he and Atcham come from a different litter than Ush. Litter being a word that describes a group of kittens born to the same mother, at the same time.
Because Kerubim talks of his past life in the Dofus MMO, we know that ecaflip demigods keep their memories of past lives, so it is his first-hand knowledge, and not something that was told to him.
[Dofus MMO - Quest: Du rire en barre / Laughing Matter]
(Both original and translated dialogue, for posterity.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(So, yeah, cough-cough. Kerubim and Atcham are, pretty much, all but confirmed to be fraternal twins. Just like Flopin and Eleley.)
Tumblr media
"Twins... Are you sure that God Ecaflip didn't just have multiple kids with one woman?"
This is certainly a possibility, especially with Atcham repeatedly calling Kerubim his older brother... Perhaps the litter line is more figurative.
However... It would be pretty out of character for Ecaflip, with the information we have from Wakfu Raiders.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...Listen, I knooow, It's a discontinued mobile game, but you have to understand, it's the only thing we have to judge Ecaflip's treatment of his lovers, ok?
The important thing is that he doesn't seem to care about them, after he's done. Neither does he seem to care about the demigods that result from his romantic exploits, when we look at his treatment of Yakusha, Atcham, and, yes, even Kerubim.
And even if he cared, he still wouldn't stick around. Mortals don't live long enough to get attached.
Tumblr media
All of Ecaflip's love for Kerubim stems from one fact - he's entertaining to him.
His love is deep, but it's not parental. It doesn't depend on who his mother was, or if he's happy. It depends on the fact that Kerubim obeys him, serves him, is a good person and a hero, and takes any punishment or attention he gives him, while being fun to sometimes torture, test and play with.
Tumblr media
Even if Ecaflip's treatment of him is horrifying, he can't help but be proud of it himself. Especially when this tough love had taught him some things.
But, despite the sugarcoating he applies to his feelings while raising Joris - because his son doesn't deserve the misfortune of knowing all that - it's pretty obvious that even though he loves Ecaflip back, not all of his feelings towards him are warm.
Tumblr media
...But before any of that that, Kerubim was simply one of many orphan demigods without a home, a family, or a mother, about all of whom Ecaflip cared just as little.
It's pretty likely that he probably wouldn't even recall that woman's name.
Tumblr media
"About the family - what about the time Kerubim said that he was the last Crepin in his family?"
Tumblr media
Okay... Nobody would ask this. I am certainly THE only person on this planet who even cares. But, I do have an answer to this.
Anyway, here's a giant, seemingly-unrelated-at-first-glance tangent:
Kerubim Crepin, and the 30-40 instances of accidental Cluster B coding.
Tumblr media
To preface this section, I am perfectly aware that it is a bit selfish, to shove my personal headcanons and interpretations of him having comorbid BPD and HPD, something that is entirely unintended by the writers, and simply my observation of his personality, into my analysis of lore post. And neither am I a psychologist.
However, even without these two headcanons, I cannot write this analysis without ever mentioning this - because I am going to be discussing his canonical, unhealthy behavior patterns, coping mechanisms, and emotional turmoil.
They all go unnamed, but they are present in the show, down to it's core. My headcanons are, at best, me putting a name to his struggles.
Kerubim Crepin struggles with being blind to other people's emotions, having very low cognitive empathy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His emotions are intense to the point of dissociation. He often has wrong ideas of how close his relationships to people actually are.
Besides that, he's prone to impulsive behaviors that damage those already shaky relationships.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His defense mechanism is splitting, switching at a moment's notice between idealizing and devaluing someone.
It happens, in some ways, with pretty much everyone he loves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And most importantly, Kerubim Crepin is terrified of being alone, of being abandoned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His struggles are, no doubt, rooted fully in his childhood trauma, which I shall discuss in the next post. But until then, a very broad assessment of his mental health and personality issues is good to keep in mind.
Whether you agree with my headcanons or not - these are simply his character traits, which I had based said headcanons on - and, even without them, these facts are important facets to understanding him, no matter what you name them.
With this, I had finally established the foundation for the next part, where I will discuss the actual Childhood bits of his backstory, and get started on talking about Atcham.
...And yeah, the reason why he would say that he's the last Crepin, is because with how broken their relationship is - Atcham is dead to him, as much as he is dead to Atcham.
But where do all these issues, these struggles, and pains come from?
I will discuss that in the next part.

Episode 16 - West of Astrub
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering Joris doesn't know Keke can ride for free, one can assume this is his first trip outside the city. Considering this is a Bonta-Astrub coach system, I am assuming this might actually be them going on a trip to Bonta, or somewhere in that direction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NUMERO DE MEMBRE 001 / MEMBER NUMBER 001
Kerubim Crepin Sexe male / Sex: male Ne a Astrub / Born in Astrub
While in the past I had assumed that Kerubim was probably born in Amakna, or a village close to it, due to him and Atcham going to an orphanage there after The Horrors happened, I suppose he was canonically born in Astrub!
And this, right here, is exactly why I started this blog. XD
To quickly review the unified Crepin family lore, and how this may change it: I'll be real, this doesn't change it at all. Astrub and Amakna are close, and it's reasonable to assume that the Crepin family might have moved there from Astrub, when they were very little.
It also doesn't change the fact that, growing up in an orphanage just outside the city walls of Amakna, their cultural mindset would be very... Amaknean.
My analysis of the fact that instead of being each other's haters, Atcham and Kerubim should have been baking cakes together, for their mental wellbeing, is very real.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Let's not dwell too much on the cringe depiction of a native person from the USA. Both because I had never even been to an USA in my life and therefore don't really have much to say, and because it is just kind of cringe.
Let's instead talk about why the fuck is Kerubim riding a kids' playground horse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The western music being diegetic is so fucking funny to me. Easily one of the funniest bits in the whole show.
Tumblr media
Rates of orphanhood among Twelvians are staggering. The second you adopt or birth a child it's OVER, you're doomed by the narrative.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This whole scene is Kerubim fighting his two sides:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being a guy who just loves kids, especially orphan, in part because they're cool and in part because he himself was an orphan.
VS.
Being a FUCKING HATER.
Tumblr media
He really has no backbone when it comes to kids. You just know his literal son could be like "papycha!!! I want you to do a pirouette and also then we need to go to the grocery store so I can buy chocolate milk to eat with oranges" and he'd be like "oughughu my Jojo eating oranges with chocolate milk is a bad idea. But who am I to stop you. 😢 one pirouette incoming."
Tumblr media
The idea of Kerubim Crepin spanking a child is so funny to me. All bark no bite.
Tumblr media
Guy who just threatened to beat up a child just deciding to die instead. Sad!
Tumblr media
I love how much of a businessman he's always been, especially considering the dubiously-canon insinuations of it being a general Crepin family thing.
Tumblr media
Okay, geographical notes here:
The lake with the tower (the one where Kerubim took Lou's dance boots), is to the west/north-west of Astrub, in the direction of Bonta.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite the differences this intro has to the actual geography shown in the show, it is consistent with where this lake appears directionally, in the relation to the city.
And this intro, by itself, is consistent with where the lake appears in-game. (As well as with where the Zaap is.)
I suppose the show's perspective is quite a lot more realistic.
The game's map can't as big as the real world, but the show's medium allows everything to be much bigger, and much more realistic. This, in turn, means that in-universe the lake is probably a bit farther away, than how it appears in-game.

Yet another status update.
If you have been reading my posts for a very long time, you may have noticed that, in the last couple of months, I have slowed down the previous output that I had this summer.
The reason as to why that is, as I've stated in the past, is because I'm very busy at the moment, between work, helping out my friends, multiple writing projects etc... I don't want to get into the specifics because I value my privacy a lot.
Also, another very big thing for me is that I spent a huge chunk of the last few months writing My top 30 favourite female antagonists of all time; I've been working on that project in conjunction with many others for a long while, and I've been writing all three parts more or less simultaneously, hence why the first part took this long to release.
My original plan was to release all three parts at the same time, for the most, overall "spread" of the posts.
However, since I'm still relatively new to this site, and I was unsure if there was someone who really liked to read my stuff and wanted something new, I decided to release the first part as a standalone hook, since the other two parts were much more juicy in comparison.
That said... the amount of time that I spent writing it, and the fact that, from my point of view, not many people saw it or cared for it made me think that maybe I should focus on something else that is easier to make.
So, here's a survey on some of the ideas that I want to do, and should be faster to execute, unlike the top 30 thing.
The Fethry Duck analysis has zero work done on it at the point of writing this, but I already know what I want to say and how I want to talk about the subject. I want to do it just to have at least one DuckTales analysis done by me on this blog, as I still haven't done one at this point in time.
However more than an actual analysis on the character, it'll be an analysis on how the writers decided to adapt the character to the reboot, and I'll use my favourite Fethry comic as a comparison.
With the recent release of Epic Mickey Rebrushed, which came out of nowhere from my point of view, my love and appreciation for this series has been rekindled, just like my hyper fixation, to the point where I've already done 7 play throughs, platinated the game 2 times, and done 3 speedruns ever since it's release.
But it got me thinking:
Many people assume/want Purple Lamp to also be doing a remake of the second game in the franchise, one that, according to the official site, would need a lot more tweaking in order for it to stand on par with the first game.
However, the question of whether or not the story would need to be changed in order for them to do so is still up in the air.
But what was the story of EM2 exactly all about? What were the original writers trying to say?
That's what I want to talk about and analyse.
As a way to further celebrate Rebrushed, and as a momentary conclusion to my Epic Mickey character arc, I plan to do public pools ranking of all the levels in Epic Mickey, Rebrushed/Original game variants included. I'll give more information about this one when I get around to doing it.
I still want to do analyses on the antagonists of Wakfu, Dark Vlad, Julith, Toross... possibly a sequel trilogy to my analyses of Oropo... but not right now.
Same thing for my Kung Fu Panda stuff: there are things that I want to do more right now.
If you've been following me for a very long time, know that my "famous" (it's not, but I've been throwing it around a lot, even outside of this site) Critique of Doll is still coming..... Next year.
That... "thing"... will be the summary of a journey.
As for more Murder Drones ideas, I have a few, but I don't want to do them now, unless someone asks for them:
Making the case for why Alice is the best humanoid villain in Murder Drones; a fun little idea that I had a while ago. To be honest, I don't sincerely think Alice is the best humanoid villain of Murder Drones, but I think that Alice fans could enjoy this post.
If you've been following me since the very beginning, you know that I wanted to do a comparison post between Nox (Wakfu) and Doll (MD) ever since I watched Murder Drones for the first time, and now that the show is over, I think this is the best time for me to do so.
While thinking about the Nox and Doll comparison, I realised something else: there's an argument to be made that Qilby and Cyn, characters from the same series as Nox and Doll, share enough similarities with each other that I could probably make a post comparing them too, and I think it could be very interesting.
In the meantime, while I wait for the survey to be over, if everything goes according to plan, this weekend I'll release an analysis on a small, current obsession of mine.
You may have already guessed it, considering all the foreshadowing that I did for the past couple of days, but here it is:
The character of Turbo, from Wreck-It Ralph (2012).
Edit: forget what I said. The Wreck-It Ralph analysis is coming whenever it is ready. Work and Arcane season 2 took away all of my free time. From now on, I'll just release stuff when it's ready and when I want to.

I've actually been working on this reply all day lol. But now seriously...
You know a character is only there for cheap drama when you take them out and the story either doesn't change or it actually improves.
In season 3, we didn't need Aurora's introduction to highlight how Amalia felt out of place in her own home. Just keep her father's failing health and Armand's bitterness towards her and you get the exact same thing. After all, there was no sign of Aurora during Amalia's vision in Oropo's Time Trap, not even of her attempts at marrying her off. That all just showed how Aurora is actually meaningless in Amalia's life.
Tumblr media
In season 4, her and her father's relevance hinged precisely and entirely on the fact that they abandoned the Sadidas to the Nécromes. Which, in turn, is only important because it was the event that would lead to Amalia's arc and her animosity towards them in this first volume.
What happens if you erase their "arc" in the webtoon? Well, this is all speculation on my part, but perhaps we could have dealt with actual political intrigue if Amalia had been forced to face the other rulers and their reaction to seeing her welcome the Eliatropes.
What did we get instead? A weekly migraine from having to deal with the franchise's most insufferable characters for about two months straight.
As for the reason behind Aurora's own animosity towards Amalia, I'd say it is, once again, a result of her being nothing but Armand's trophy wife, rather than his actual partner and queen. As we've already discussed in length, Aurora seems to have no depth or opinions of her own, and what little we've seen of independent thought coming from her was just pitiful, if not plain hubris.
Gotta hand it to him, the Osamodas King might be an asshole, but it's clear he's the one holding all the braincells in this family. Not like even that's saying much...
But I'm getting sidetracked. The point is, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Aurora hates Amalia, not because of anything the princess actually did, but because of Armand's own bitterness towards her. In other words, he probably "connected" with Aurora by ranting over his sister and how she's their father's favourite despite always running off to travel the world, and she just took it at face value. It's just much easier agreeing with one side without bothering to listen to the other. After all, it's not like Amalia can ever be more than the spoiled brat her insecure, jealous brother accuses her of being, right?
Tumblr media
In a way, both sides of this were a missed opportunity, for they could have given Aurora some much-needed depth.
On the one hand, there isn't a worse "villain" than the one that hates you "just because" and acts accordingly, with no other traits than a nasty personality and a bone to pick with you. None of the previous antagonists held a grudge against the Brotherhood just because.
For Nox, it wasn't really personal, he just wanted his family back and was willing to to whatever it took to accomplish that goal.
Qilby deeply resented Yugo and their siblings for never taking his condition seriously and refusing to follow his lead, yet he still loved them and feared being alone enough to refuse to travel the Krosmoz on his own, even if that would have indeed been much easier. And eventually, blood proved thicker than water between the two when he saved Yugo from Toross and Efrim.
Oropo cared about the Siblings (to some extent) and didn't mean the Brotherhood of the Tofu any real harm. And even though he did hate Yugo, it never really reached the same levels of vitriol it did between Aurora and Amalia. He even helped him and sympathised with him in season 4, finally finding some closure for his siblings and himself.
Again, until they started getting in his way too often, Toross didn't care about the Brotherhood. He just wanted to help his people, no matter the cost.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aurora and her father... They don't have that. At all. And it's a pity, because it would have made them far more palatable if they had at least shown some genuine respect for Amalia, for her heroics and loyalty to her people the way the other nations respect Yugo. As they are right now, they're not actual antagonists, but a case of Obnoxious-In-Laws taken to the extreme.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Just look at the completely disinterested way they're looking at her even when she comes bearing grave news! No respect whatsover.)
And on the other hand, they're trying to have Aurora's love for Armand be her one redeeming quality, but as I have mentioned countless times now, I don't buy it. As with everything about her character, there's nothing deep about Armand and Aurora's marriage that could make me believe they were ever truly in love.
Honestly, what were they thinking, expecting me to believe they love each other because of barely a minute of screentime portraying them as a couple rather than two people who just so happen to be standing in the same room after they gave us Tristeva and Yumalia? Literally, Ruel and Arpagone's relationship is far more interesting in comparison. There's no indication of why I should care about them in the first place, nothing that makes me look at them and think "Huh, they make a good couple."
So, even if it would have still been unfair to Amalia, if instead of having them say they fell in love despite everything and expect us to believe it, I could have actually bought their marriage if they'd showed those two bonding. As I said, if Aurora's hatred of Amalia is because of Armand, then show it! Have him vent his insecurities with his wife and the two bonding over not being their father's favourite or having more accomplished siblings (Aurora seems to have a lot, and it's clear one of her brothers is the actual heir instead of her). That would give her some depth.
But no. She hates Amalia because she can. Wonderfully complex and compelling. 10/10 would not recommend.
Then again, it's plain to see ToT didn't create Aurora and her father with the purpose of being deep, but so they could be, ironically, a thorn on Amalia's side. After all, like I said back in the day, Nice to the Waiter is a trope for a reason: a character who mistreats the people at their service was never intended to be sympathetic.
However, what makes them truly despicable is, as you mentioned, their sheer hypocrisy and refusal to take responsibility for their actions.
In their eyes, their actions, no matter how horrifying or hateful, are perfectly excusable because it's them doing them. But if somebody else gives them a taste of their own medicine? Then they react poorly and you're the dishonourable monster.
This behaviour applies to both big to small things, really.
The Osamodas King blatantly insults the Sadida Kingdom? No problem.
Armand turns the tables on him by pointing out his kingdom's weaker? Aurora chastises her husband.
They leave the Sadida Kingdom and possibly the whole world to die, essentially betraying their allies and, hence, breaking said alliance? Things happen, what can you do about it? *Shrugs*
Amalia calls them out on it right after they shamelessly proclaim they intend to steal the throne from her? She's nothing but a selfish brat.
And speaking of leaving people to die... Surely that's okay because Aurora is pregnant, so she should be forgiven for putting her kid first. Doesn't change the fact that she willingly endangered the child nonetheless because her ego couldn't take Amalia putting her in her place, much to her father's horror.
They make no point in even pretending they don't intend to kick out the only person the child actually needs by their side to teach them how to rule the Sadida just so they can be in control and scheme unimpeded. But  when Amalia has them against the ropes, suddenly they're family and she's attacking her nephew, so she should back off.
Amalia is the hot-tempered one who can't stand to be contradicted, yet it was Aurora who constantly went from condescendingly smug to craving violence and insulting others the moment things didn't go her way.
Aurora is an Osamodas who had an arranged marriage to a Sadida and clearly places her own customs over her late husband's despite being nothing but his consort, living with his people, and she doesn't even care about the kingdom and its people enough to protect it from enemies or even treat them decently. But sure, clearly it's Amalia who's disrespecting Armand's legacy by marrying Yugo, the person she loves and trusts the most and who values her just as much, and rewarding the Eliatropes for their help against the Nécromes, even though they objectively were the only ones who could have tried to escape.
As for their fighting prowess, I've talked about this in length as well, but had ToT tried to have Amalia do anything but utterly curb-stomp Aurora, I would have been severely disappointed, not to say furious.
Tumblr media
Because if Coqueline, a centuries old demigoddess capable of controlling legions of imposing animals, turning others into animals, and even shapeshifting, was five levels weaker than Dathura, whom we have yet to even see in action, then there's no way someone who's always been heavily implied to have never seen combat once in her life could have realistically stood a chance against a seasoned warrior and adventurer like Amalia.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Especially with the "reveal" that the royal Osamodas' powers seem to be limited to turning into one animal each or developing its features, and communicating with animals. And even that isn't nowhere near impressive.
No, seriously. Coqueline has an entire sanctuary dedicated to countless animals and even a legendary, near-extinct creature. The Osamodas have only ever been seen around bats, and even that's nothing more than a prop, since they disappeared the moment the real fight began. While I'm happy it didn't happen, I was honestly half-expecting them to summon their pets at some point but... Nope.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's face it, that's an incredibly weak powerset, which shows very little connection to wildlife for the supposed rulers of the beast-taming race of the World of Twelve...
Whelp, this got incredibly long, so I'll just sign off saying that, while I'm surprised they actually ran away when Amalia told them to and I know my girl will have to face consequences for "wrongly" assaulting them (queu eyeroll), I sincerely hope we won't be seeing much of them (preferably nothing at all) from now on. Goodbye and good riddance.
The Great Wave - Chapters 9 + 10 Review
‼️SPOILERS FOR THE CHAPTER‼️
Warning(s): watch me bully an old man, aurora slander, osamodas king slander, fat shaming, excessive use of foul language, racism, misogyny, did I mention I loath Aurora?, they’re both bad antagonists your honor, cyberbullying, PURE LOATHING.
I’d like to add a side note here:
I initially planned on reviewing chapters 9 and 10 separately but when I saw that confrontation between Aurora and Amalia, I decided to fuse the two instead. I did NOT want to talk about these specific chapters in their distinct posts because it would’ve sucked to see the conflict between Aurora and Amalia getting cut off in the middle of it.
We’re back.
Let the pummelling begin.
Aurora immediately starts making a fart face as she begins diving down to “attack” Amalia.
Tumblr media
Are we impressed? No.
Should we be scared? No.
Should we expect any twist in the fight? No.
As soon as Aurora stupidly declared she wanted to fight, we all knew she was gonna get beat up to shit. Tot and Cathiane were trying very hard not to cringe while showing this. You can trust me, I was there in the room with them when they were thinking about this scene.
This is just very painful but my god was it funny as fuck.
Tumblr media
This blue bitch with the witch face really thought she could take on a Mother Nature wielder with her chicken fingers please someone get this moron a brain.
Also what reason could Aurora possibly have to have wanted to beat Amalia to a pulp all these years? She claims she’s dreamed of doing this for so long but based on what reason? The fact that Amalia rejected all of Aurora’s weakass brothers and cousin for marriage? The fact that she would respectfully and calmly try to talk to Aurora even though she never liked her??? Bitch, what was the reason that would have made her so mad you wanted to beat her up????
Even Bonta will hear her scream in pain??? Girl, what the fuck are you babbling about? She clinically does not have a brain, where the fuck did it go? Aurora, YOU KNOW Amalia goes out and travels, right??? You know that her squad is filled with divinities, right??? What part of you thought it was a good idea to say that out loud AND think you had THE ADVANTAGE?????
This bitch wouldn’t survive a day outside of her kingdom, this is so fucking embarrassing. I loath her guts but imagine how embarrassed I’m feeling for her. She’s mentally slow. She doesn’t realize anything that’s coming out of her mouth and doesn’t use whatever’s up in that head of hers to properly think of any situation she’s in. She can’t think for herself, she can’t talk for herself if she wants to claim something, she can’t figure out the level of danger that she’s in, she can’t fight, she can’t lead, she can’t speak politely to servants, she can’t even be honest in a normal situation. I bet she can’t even make a sandwich for me, this hoe is even useless in the kitchen, on god.
Tumblr media
And finally. FINALLY.
WE FINALLY GET TO HEAR AMALIA SAY THOSE WORDS.
You have no idea how much I fucking wanted Amalia to beat the living crap out of her and tell her how fucking weak she truly is compared to her. I’ve been waiting for this moment ever since we saw her stupid ass “family” make its entrance in Chapter 1.
Tumblr media
YES, TELL THIS CUNT THE SEVERE GAP OF YOUR STRENGTH LEVEL ‼️‼️‼️
TURN THIS BITCH INTO A MCSANDWICH ‼️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amalia is speaking our thoughts so coherently. Not once did we think Aurora was a menace, let alone even an antagonist. This bitch is just so braindead and one-dimensional that even calling her “self-aware” or “sentient” is odd to say.
With all the shit she’s been doing, Aurora is not even an annoyance, she’s a migraine.
Tumblr media
This shot of her just getting the shit get beaten out of her made me so happy, you have no idea.
Like Tot must’ve been WAITING to see this hoe get wrecked too.
@geekgirles once explained how the osamodas’ strength might just be very weak compared to other races and how that weakness reflected itself based on where it was positioned in Oropo's tower. Coqueline can also be considered as a preview of what Aurora and her dad's strength would've looked like in the great wave because even Coqueline STRUGGLED to throw good attacks while fighting Oropo. She was canonically confirmed to be the oldest of the Siblings (even older than Echo) and yet the only thing she could have come up with while fighting Oropo was to use her teeth to try to tear Oropo's new form?? She literally went on all fours and tried to attack him with basic primitive skills. Literally what the heck.
So yeah, Aurora is unsurprisingly getting beat up and thrown around like a rag-doll by Amalia.
Tumblr media
Amalia, honey.
Aurora’s not naive, she’s just really slow.
And yet that’s not even what we can describe it either.
Tumblr media
Your pride is still here dumbass cuz you don’t look fine at all.
You got thrown so hard you couldn’t even fly, bitch.
Hoe thinks she was fine after the beating AND the throwing and then lies again about it.
Fucking pathetic.
I bet if she got a sword stabbed in her womb, she’d be like “i’M FiNe FaThER, bUt I cAN’t SaY tHe SaMe fOr mY pRiDe.” SHUT YOUR DUMBASS UP-
When Amalia comes up to them, this is where the osamodas king pulls out another weak manipulation tactic by saying this:
Tumblr media
Motherfucker, you attempted to kick her out of her kingdom, her home, what the fuck are you talking about? Bitch is clarifying that Aurora’s child is Amalia’s nephew now??? He is so fucking weak, he’d pretend like he never tried kicking her out like a complete stranger just to save his own skin.
This dick dared to throw the “he’s your family” card on her as if he didn’t just encourage Aurora to tell Amalia she doesn’t belong in her fucking kingdom a few hours ago.
Dude thought he ate, this is so embarrassing.
Look at him trying to scramble his way out of this.
Now that he realizes how weak and pathetic he is against A PRINCESS WHO BECAME QUEEN JUST A FEW MONTHS AGO, he’s trying to do anything in his power to do what he does best to get out of this alive: lie and manipulate.
Only this predictably fails since Amalia had enough of his and his trophy daughter’s bullshit of constantly being forced to have them around.
And Amalia is absolutely pissed off that they can just say whatever they want so SHE ENUMERATES THE THINGS THAT THEY DID JUST SO SHE CAN BE SURE IT FINALLY DRILLED IN THEIR HEADS.

Even though what she said wasn’t exactly everything they did, she still has a right to point out the main thing they are known for since the necrome war.
But nah, they’re too stupid to actually get it and don’t even bear a second to the idea that their actions could have cost AN ENTIRE FUCKING RACE TO ERASE FROM THE WORLD. Imagine not having a full grasp of the idea that you could have been responsible for an entire race disappearing but also be the reason why the world had suddenly lost about 15% of its population in under a second.
Tumblr media
No jackass you’re not leaving.
You’re dying here.
Also what the fuck? He got backed to a corner by a queen newbie and he still has the balls to say that he’ll come back???
Is he trying to see his daughter get her ass kicked again???? Or is he trying to see how long he could last the next time they meet????
How the fuck is he king??? What the hell is that strategy he came up with???? You call that a STRATEGY?????
Now I understand why we never saw him in any of the past seasons before. I understand why his fucking advisor has to be king for him.
Cuz he sucks at his own fucking job.
That guy hired his counsellor to represent him which is why every time the royal council of the world had to reunite, it was always the old white-bearded dude who spoke and was actually present.
This fucking gorilla was so absent from his own duties. So much so, that for an extremely long time, since 2012, we all thought the white-bearded guy representing the osamodas race from Season 2 was actually the real osamodas king. It wouldn’t surprise me if his own people thought his counsellor was their king because not only did WE think that way, but it was also because we learned in Season 4 that this fucking gorilla stayed in caves for long undetermined amounts of time and would hang around with THESE UGLY CRUSTY BATS WE’VE SEEN IN THESE TEN CHAPTERS while he’d be there doing god knows what with them.
This man, actually no that’s not a man. I’d be insulting them if I was insinuating he was one of them.
This fat ugly gorilla not only thinks he can just come back from a fight he already lost without any shame or awareness, but he thought he could handle TWO KINGDOMS AT THE SAME TIME WHEN HE WASN’T EVEN PERSONALLY TAKING CARE OF HIS OWN TO BEGIN WITH.
We don’t even know why he’s been in the caves on his own for so long but it sure as hell couldn’t have been more important than taking care of A FUCKING NATION, YOU FUCKING IDIOTIC CUNT-
Tumblr media
I was so ecstatic when I saw that panel cuz not only did that mean I was going to see more prolonged pummelling, but it also means I get to see Aurora act like a total dumbfuck more.
Tumblr media
Ew.
By the way, I love how @articwolfclawartist noticed the parallels with the choking here.
Amalia then commits animal abuse and that’s how these two ended up on the ground looking like disheveled and panting losers.
Tumblr media
So Amalia not only beats AN OSAMODAS PRINCESS but also AN OSAMODAS KING AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME.
Must be embarrassing for the osamodas king above all. This fat gorilla is much older, more experienced than Aurora, and has been a king for a long time even before Amalia and Aurora were even born.
And who did he lose to?
To a young Sadida princess who became queen just a few months ago.
The fight hadn’t even lasted 30 minutes and he already lost by forfeiting the battle when he realized he and his trophy daughter had been cornered by sadida bomb dolls.
I repeat.
This “man”, who was king for decades, lost a deadly battle against a princess who became queen a few months ago.
He is such a fucking clown and so are all his offsprings cuz my god he has so many.
Tumblr media
….she’s incredibly slow what the fuck.
I bet my whole bank account that the entire iop race can skillfully determine when their opponent wants to kill them better than Aurora.
Aurora: “ShE…sHe’S rEAlLy tRYinG To KiLl uS…”
Aurora a second ago: “I’d rather die than run away from that little brat…”
@pinkysgallery summarized it perfectly here.
Tumblr media
And just like animals being hunted in the wild, Amalia corners them with freaking bomb dolls and makes these two look terrified as shit. Good. Their fears make me ecstatically happy.
But AURORA has the fucking nerve to speak again and make her look even more braindead than she already was.
Tumblr media
I have so many things to say about this moment:
1) What is bitch talking about? This is the shit she can come up with? “ShOrt TeMpErEd”??? You guys didn’t even talk during the fight so how was she short-tempered if she didn’t speak about anything that would have made her look short-tempered???
2) Aurora is a fucking hypocrite but she’s such a hypocrite that she can’t connect the dots and realize how slow she looks when she quickly snapped just for seeing a female sadida servant being scared of her crusty bat, a male Sadida and a female eliatrope getting married, and knowing that she couldn’t fight Amalia so she still went on and tried doing that and expectedly failed miserably.
3) Contradicted to what??????? What is the chicken yapping about????
I believe she took her worthless manipulation “skill” from her dad. If you pay attention to her ugly chicken claws in the panel above, it’s shaking meaning that she’s genuinely scared of Amalia when she FINALLY learned that the boss-ass queen was trying to kill her.
Tumblr media
See, here’s the thing I don’t get.
Sure, the osamodas king did not poison Yugo because we see who it was later on after the osamodas king’s interaction with Amalia ends.
But, here he is again telling Amalia she has no place IN HER FUCKING HOME ANYMORE.
According to who??? Who said she doesn’t belong here??? You??? The fucking outsider??? The king to ANOTHER FUCKING KINGDOM???
Oh yeah, right. You don’t rule your own kingdom that’s true. Your fucking counsellor does your job for you so that you can chill with some ugly crusty bats in caves and probably fuck them too while you’re at it.
He just said that she shouldn’t have hurt her nephew but bitch, if she’s his nephew, that then technically means she has to stay in her kingdom to teach him the Sadida way cuz he’s technically gonna be the future Sadida king. Literally what the fuck????
Ever since these two loser clowns came, they told her she had to leave but why????? When Armand got married to Aurora, Amalia stayed and there were no objections. So why is it a problem now??? If anything, now is the best time for her to stay cuz she’s the only one in the royal Sadida family who’s left and can teach her nephew the Sadida culture.
These people treat kingdoms so badly and have poor organisation to the point that the osamodas king had to be replaced by his fucking counsellor.
Fucking kill me already.
I don’t believe Amalia will receive any severe consequences. If she was ever interrogated and she told them the story from her perspective, these two bozos would look extremely suspicious. Cuz from Amalia’s pov, this is what she could say: “I was having a normal day, these two show up and demand the thrown and tell me to leave and on the very same day, my husband gets poisoned so I attack them and fight them. The fight hasn’t lasted 30 minutes and they easily leave.”
Also from who is she going to get any kind of consequence??
The other rulers??? They wouldn’t dare do anything when Yugo’s acting so unhinged right now.
From Gorilla and Chicken’s “family”??? They are so many, I’m pretty sure one of them wouldn’t mind taking the osamodas throne if it means taking the side of Amalia.
Sure, Amalia will learn that Gorilla and Chicken weren’t actually responsible for Yugo’s poisoning but do you really think she’d still give them her position after knowing they weren’t guilty? Hell no.
This fight meant more than just punishing them for thinking they had committed a crime. This fight also meant the beginning of her separation from the osamodas. For too long she had been forced to get used to them around her when Armand was alive but now she’s queen and gets to finally decide to cut them off for good.
In a way, this is also ironic. Gorilla and Chicken were expecting to cut off Amalia from her kingdom and yet here she is cutting them off from what they thought would be theirs if they just yapped and acted like fake responsible royals.
Tumblr media
YEAH FUCKING KICK THEM OUT MAKE THEM WISH THEY WERE NEVER HERE ‼️‼️‼️‼️
I’m so happy she finally fucking beat the shit out of them so that they can FINALLY learn that they have no place here.
YOU BLUE-SKINNED DEVILS HAVE NO PLACE WITH THE SADIDAS GO BACK TO YOUR OWN COUNTRY ‼️‼️
Man, they’re such racists too cuz they realized the eliatropes stayed here, can you believe that? The audacity.
I’m just pissed that she didn’t kill them off though. They might come back for whatever fucking reason which infuriates me to no end cuz like…how the fuck do you come back after getting your ass beat the fuck out by one person when you had someone with you???
I swear if they come back wearing a smirk, I’m eating raw chicken and gorilla brain on the same day.
Fuck these people and fuck anyone who thinks they’re good antagonists. These shitheads gave me a daily migraine during the first volume and I’m so fucking glad they’re not acting like they’re the shit right now.
Look at them running away with their tails between their legs.
Tumblr media
THIS IS THE SECOND FUCKING TIME THEY RAN AWAY WTF
If they think they’re royals and can take care of a kingdom, then why the fuck do they run away constantly???
Can you imagine having them as your king and princess? I’d rather die cuz I might as well vanish from the face of the earth if I was a sadida while being aware that these two animals would rule my kingdom.
I bet that the simple inconvenience that could impact the sadida kingdom would make them run away. If that happens, I wanna know what’s Aurora’s excuse this time.
The two people who shouldn’t have interacted so much in the necrome war were Eva and Armand. Eva was able to fight while handling two hyperactive children, and Armand was a fucking king and yet he was fighting on the first line of the battlefield.
Plenty of people, myself included, focused on Aurora leaving during the necrome war but now that I keep thinking about it more, the osamodas king was a bigger deal because he DID NOT have a reason to tell Aurora to run before running first.
If anything, because of the gorilla hanging around in caves and Aurora doing god knows what when Armand used to do his royal job, these two goobers are just royal cosplayers.
Literally. They’re just royal cosplayers.
Gorilla doesn’t do anything besides hanging in caves and Chicken just stands around.
I want you to know how big of a deal this is.
This is serious to think about cuz why the fuck WOULD ANYONE ENTRUST ANYTHING TO THESE CUNTS?????
Anyway, now that we’re done with whatever kind of circus that was, we go back to Yugo and Adamaï trying to balance the poison.
Tumblr media
Yugo stop stressing me out with your words.
I know you’re not thinking straight right now and you’re having trouble thinking optimistically in a time like this, but YOU’RE THE SAME PERSON WHO KEEPS SAYING THAT THERE’S ALWAYS A SOLUTION TO EVERYTHING.
You’re gonna be fine AND you’ll find a way to get rid of the poison. You’ve got six Dofus, which can turn any demigod, and mortal, into a god! I’m pretty sure a deadly poison has got nothing on you if you’ve got these artifacts with you.
You’ll be fine (I’m definitely not trying to calm myself down rn)
Tumblr media
Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you’ve all been waiting for…
The mysterious dragon and the female sadida servant were accomplices all along.
Not gonna lie, I seriously thought the Gorilla and Chicken hired this sadida servant for sharing the same hatred towards Yugo and Amalia, but now that I learned I was wrong, I have to keep reminding myself that the blue-skinned “royals” should not be taken seriously but should be treated like NPCs instead.
What flabbergasted me at this moment, however, was the reveal.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the female sadida servant wasn’t real. Instead, it was just a disguise. The actual culprit was…
Tumblr media
Julith.
Freaking Julith.
She had been ordered by the dragon to poison these two which ended up making Yugo drink it alone instead. @onyichii once theorized, back when chapters 7-8 came out, that the female sadida servant in question could have been Julith and they ended up ACTUALLY BEING RIGHT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi daddy 🥰💕 help me instead 🥰🥰
It was Grougalorasalar guys….
I-
I really thought the mysterious dragon in the dream was Draconiros…
Ever since Chapter 1 came out, I went on a legitimate rant/theory explaining why it would make a thousand times more sense that it was Draconiros and not Grougalorasalar.
Last time I checked, both dragons were the best choice for this theory but I was still shocked that it was the black dragon all this time. I was mainly surprised because Grougalorasalar had been part of Ogrest’s chaos when he was fighting Yugo and Dally back in the ovas which would be weird if he was the same dragon who traumatized Yugo in his sleep for unintentionally causing chaos around the world.
Not to mention that he’s smirking here almost like he’s enjoying the sight of Yugo suffering like this. Now yes, he technically hates Yugo so it would make sense to see that he’s enjoying his pain but then why did he tell Julith that they’ll put a traumatized Yugo and a confused Adamaï out of their misery if he’s now saying this? :
Tumblr media
“We’ll talk about it later” ???
What do you mean by that?
When the poison didn’t fully do its job due to the six Dofus in his body, didn’t you just come out in the open to kill Yugo once and for all? Why then tell him that “we’ll talk about it later”?
This makes me wonder if there’s more to this poisoning than we’ve been let on.
Because there’s a possibility that since Grougalorasalar noticed the poison hasn’t entirely worked, maybe he’ll try something else or severe the effects of the poison by moving Yugo and Adamaï away from the Sadida kingdom right now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mom come pick me up
Grougalorasalar is weird. Not in a bad way but not in a good way either.
He’s just weirdly weird? Does that make any sense?
At first, when I read chapter 10 for the first time, I thought Grougalorasalar being the one responsible for the poison wouldn’t have made sense until @kerubimcrepin explained how black dragons tend to be more inclined to cause chaos.
So I guess it would make sense why he’d be perfectly fine prolonging Yugo’s suffering if it meant it could slowly kill him? But then again, we have no idea if the belladone is even deadly enough to kill Yugo because he’s still breathing. The belladone poison should’ve killed him instantly so maybe the poison is only effective enough to severely injure Yugo but nothing more than that.
Man, I hate that it ended on a huge cliffhanger like that cuz how is Yugo supposed to get out of this one and how will they all react when they find out it was Grougalorasalar and Julith who tried poisoning them?
Do people know that Julith was supposed to be dead? Amalia knows her world of twelve history pretty well given her royal education so maybe she learned of Julith’s death in one of her classes teaching her about the Dofus era when she was younger.
Either way, it doesn’t matter.
Yugo, Adamaï, and Amalia will all be shocked as all hell in the 2nd volume.
My god, I already need it so badly I can’t wait anymore…
I’m scared and I don’t wanna throw up when I see what’s next for them…

Just finished binging Wakfu on Netflix and BOY OH BOY I have thoughts
One of them is that I really need to stop flooding my tumblr with nothing but wips but oh well
The second is << SPOILERS AHEAD !!>> that they did my man Adamai dirty
I really wished we got more of an in-depth analysis on my lil baby in the season but there’s a massive change they’ll do it in season four but these are just my thoughts as it stands now
It made no sense why he’d be so hateful towards the Gods or so quick to trust the Siblings until you realize baby has been abandoned time and time again by The Brotherhood. Started off when Yugo left him to save Dally, then left him to go on adventures to get the dofus then yet again when he chose to save Dally over heeding Ad’s advice. I can see why he took such pleasure in potentially killing Dally as well as the thought of ending all gods because he, too, has been orphaned by one
But this is all said without the context of the games or manga so I could be waaay off either way I think season 3 was meh but the villains weren’t too bad. Abandonment was the theme of this season
I just wish season 3 did a better job of actually addressing it because NONE of my abandoned babies got a proper apology in my book
They also did Evangeline and Amalia disservice but those are thoughts for another crudely drawn wip

Thank you and Same! Since Cell Boy replaced 3803 as 1146's main non immune companion for a arc. I say give us arc where 4989 is 3803's main immune cell companion (honestly let the whole squad follow her around. I get the feeling from various canon bits, 3803 would be seen as a dofus goddess by immune cells for her understanding and kindness to them). 4989 is a interesting character in that he's typically known as that funny background character. But then he gets in-depth scenes that show a -
2 deeper side. He has a mature grasp on self care. He's happy go lucky and likes to do non conventional things. But he's easily affected by different opinions and feels loss deeply in a world most cells have to shrug off. He's a very active character in ways 1146 can be passive. He's particularly invested in 1146's wellbeing which makes me agree on them being best friends within their squad. In a lot of ways their dynamic could be similar to 3803 and 5100's dynamic. 1146 seems older and could-
3 have taken 4989 under his wing much like 5100 did with 3803. 5100 believes in 3803 a lot despite the latters initial screwups. But she also worries about 3803 a lot and comes across as protective. Much like how 4989 is w/1146. It's probably this way I could see 3803 seeing a lot herself and 5100 in 4989 and his relationship w/1146. Which leads to her doting on him like a big sister and being encouraging. 4989 in turn I think would be pretty protective and even clingy w/her since that's his -
4 nature. I imagine he'd be very supportive of any relationship between 3803 and 1146. He's in a unique position (shared before only by the platelets and Eosinophil) in canon in that he's the only cell who's a mutual friend to both of them now. But again he's w/1146 more then most and worries for his mental state. He'd obviously see 3803 as a good influence. In fact I think he'd be pretty protective of her too. Making sure 1146 was being mindful of her feelings and active enough in pursuing her.
~~~
Methinks you should read Red Blood Cell, Sighted! because I literally wrote 4989/3803′s relationship like this. I even explored a darker(?) side of their relationship in Underneath the Frost... ya know... if you’re interested to see how I interpreted their relationship back in the day. (Hahahah, shameless self-advertisement, I know).
I enjoyed Normal Cell. He was pretty chill and it was nice seeing 1146 interact with other cells that weren’t part of the immune system.
As for the comparison with the mentors and mentees, I really like your analysis here. Gosh, for a manga that is supposed to be about the different systems of the body, there is a lot to be unpacked with the relationships. Seriously, I like the parallels that you drew up here. I imagine if all the immune cells and the red blood cells got over their differences and occupation, I bet they would make great friends (and they probably end up being shippers for 3803/1146).
4989 as wingman for 1146? heck yes!
Thanks again for the analyses and I hope you have a wonderful day!
