simon who loves the idea of decorating his house. at first he didn't want a house as he felt like it would be a empty shell and a reminder of how he is never around, how he will never be normal so an apartment would be more okay. but he decided financially if he can afford a good house he should purchase it. so he bought a two story house that has some acres but tons of trees surrounding it.

simon who asked his darling naturally after passing that milestone of being in a relationship as long as they had, he felt it would only be appropriate to ask them to move in. at first their darling was hesitant but ultimately they knew the answer was yes.

few months after simons darling moved in it was christmas. he felt as if he should ask his darling if they were interested in decorating the houses. he was met with online emails for delivery dates of christmas trees, gold and red ornaments, wreaths, gigantic candy canes to decorate the outside of the house, a bunch of out door lights, and a light up reindeer pulling santa set up to be placed on the roof. that was the only answer he needed.

as the couple would go out to the town to watch movies, shop for grocery, or to satisfy food cravings they would occasionally purchase knick knacks for christmas to hang around the house or to decorate during the festive season. simon didn't think ill of the holiday nor did he feel excited. some christmas he spent it being deployed and the ones he stayed at home were not different than every other day.

simon who is actually a bit excited this holiday because he has a sense of home in house all because of their darling. he loves waking up and having their darling ask them for help hanging things. he loves how domestic it feels when they set and begin decorating their christmas tree.

simon who definitely overspends on gifts for his darling because he wants the christmas to resemble a christmas catalog. he bought name brand everything without looking at the price tag. he bought them make-up if they used any, clothes of their aesthetic and color, gaming equipments if he felt like they need it, shoes from converse to YSL heels, and so many lingerie from small businesses all around the world that would ship to your location. it was tough getting the deliveries before his darling but he decided to just offer picking up the mail or anything if it was delivered to the post office rather than the drive way that was about one mile away from the house.

simon who helps his darling cook for their christmas dinner and offers to do the dishes afterwards while his darling showers and gets dressed. but before his darling went upstairs he decided to give some gifts early to his darling. like the brown silk dress that was skin tight and had long sleeve. it complimented the 24k gold bracelet that had your's and his initial engraved on it. along with some fluffy white socks that made them smile.

simon who wears black cargo pants with the maroon shirt you bought him to wear. he wore his silver rings, bracelets, and dog tags that complimented him. and also black fluffy socks too.

I GOT U!!

• hirako is a wonderful cook. i believe it's canon that he was raised by his grandparents? anyways, i think that he was especially close with his grandmother and she taught him how to cook all sorts of things. arima knows how to cook a few things, but not much. hirako meal preps for him for the week, as he knows how little time arima has to cook himself food. he also wanted to move arima away from eating out and getting takeout constantly.

• arima doesn't share his birthdate with most, as he very much dislikes excess public attention on him. he told it to hirako one time, years ago, but hirako has never forgotten. he knows how much arima dislikes attention on him, so he keeps their celebrations private. hirako bakes arima his favorite sweet, and buys him a singular gift. arima wouldn't accept anything more than one gift, it's hard to get him to accept even one. last year, hirako got him a brand new fancy watch.

• the two of them both speak english, though i think arima is a little more fluent. i've said this in a past post, but i think hirako has a real passion for documentaries in english. arima sort of shows his love for hirako by researching different documentaries online, picking out ones hirako might like, and suggesting them for the two to watch together. arima also happily explains and translates different english terms or words that hirako might not already know.

• this one is a bit more canon-compliant and doesn't apply to all AUs. the night before arima's passing, he and hirako spent the night together. it was the first time they'd done so in years, as the two had been romantically split up for quite some time. it was a very intimate night. i don't mean in only a sexual sense, though i do think they made love that night. i think they spent a lot of that night enveloped in each others embrace, naked and skin to skin. hirako laid his head on arima's chest, his arm around his torso, while arima played with his soft, auburn hair. the next morning, arima left before hirako woke up. he left hirako the keys to his apartment.

• arima is really not a dog person, he's absolutely a cat person. hirako is 100% a dog person, he does have a dog after all. arima was nervous to meet hirako's dog at first, but it went well as hirako's dog is incredibly well trained. arima was thoroughly impressed by how well trained hirako's dog truly was, and left that interaction feeling much more affectionate towards dogs as a whole.

• arima makes more money than hirako, it's more money than he knows what to do with. i think he's very frugal when it comes to spending on himself, but he loves having a partner he can buy gifts for. hirako gets an array of small gifts from arima, but hirako's favorites kind of gifts from him are for sure the ties he buys for him. arima has bought him a variety of colors of high quality ties, he even buys him ones with special elegant patterns at times.

AAAGGGGHHHHH i know i only gave a few headcanons here, but i feel they're a bit detailed so i hope they will suffice <3 i love arihira, it's so good to meet another arihira lover!

The two of you had become fast friends. He was always polite and shared some of the best photos of animals in his area. When he suggested meeting up for the meteor shower event, you were a little hesitant. He was still a stranger online, after all. But when you got confirmation that the event would have lots of people, not just the two of you, you agreed.

You were setting up your tent with Tika "helping" when you hear a deep voice, "Amber?"

Turning around you see Curtis, much bigger and taller in person than you expected! His deep blue eyes immediately enthralled you just as your eyes did to him. Everyone in the area, including Tika, felt the shift in the air. You were soulmates!

Heather’s dad had always refused to buy it for their pets back home, believing the heavily synthetic brand was responsible for making his childhood dog sick and swearing it off from then on. Sorrel admitted it wasn’t the best, but since Brindleton Pawspital was franchised by Petcare Inc., they had an obligation to purchase supply from other Landgraab-owned companies.

Since POTS is a common post-covid lifetime disability I figured I'd share some of my tips for anyone newly diagnosed. I've had pots since before 2017 (likely since 2014) and have been gathering a list of stuff my Dr never told me and I had to find out on my own.

As with anything you read online this isn't medical advice, I'm not a doctor, consult a real one before any major lifestyle changes because anything on this list could have contraindications

Shower chairs. I never had to stop hot showers because I got a shower chair and have only fainted in the shower once since using it. Make sure it's sturdy and rustproof tho.

Salt everything you eat. This one's a double edged sword and absolutely be sure your doctor is okay with it but since my BP runs super low all the time salting my food helps keep it normal range.

Gatorade is fine if you can't tolerate Pedialyte or other hydration drinks. I don't like liquids to be salty it just doesn't work for me. Gatorade is sugary so watch how much you consume but it does have electrolytes which can help replenish yours in a pinch.

Thermotabs and other brands of electrolyte tablets are also super helpful. I take one daily during the summer since I sweat so much. Definitely take them with water and food though.

If you don't have a shower chair, or still can't tolerate normal hot showers, run a few inches of cold water in the tub first. Keeping your feet cold can help with blood flow.

For a lot of people, medicine can work, but you have to try a few to find the right one. I'm very well managed on atenolol, which was the second medicine I tried. Talk to your Dr about options.

Compression socks are a godsend especially if you work on your feet a lot.

You probably can't take normal cold medicine like NyQuil or robitussin. As your pharmacist or doctor about cold medicine formulated for people with high blood pressure. It seems paradoxical because you have low BP, but what it is is medicine that doesn't effect BP at all. I've been taking something called "safetussin" that usually works for me.

If you need mobility aids, use them. I'm a part time cane user for a back injury, but don't need one for POTS. But if you find canes or wheelchairs or walkers helpful, use them!

Cardiac service dogs are a thing, and so are mobility service dogs. They can be expensive but are absolutely something that can help with detecting low blood pressure or helping move you to a chair, or to stand up safely.

My favorite salty snack is a can of black olives what's yours?

That's all I can think of for now but any other POTSies feel free to add on with your tips.

Chicken Bus Airplane

Excuse the exhaustion and the illiterate thoughts in this blog post, I believe I am at 30 hours without sleeping in a bed. if you can match the pictures to my stories, that would be helpful.

One of the strangest flights I’ve ever taken. If I took a charter bus from Charlotte, North Carolina to Madrid, I was on a school bus to Albania. People squished in, up in the aisles the entire flight, groups up and laughing and chatting with the flight attendants, window shades up, music playing, loud talking, people brought their own food on board, bananas, chicken, anything that smelled… school bus interior. As opposed to my charter bus interior plane that had pink lights to wake us up and light blue lights to dim the lights for sleep. Chatting, conversing, pushing and shoving, just to get on and off the plane. And at the airport, there were no announcements of boarding or gates. You just had to know where to go and when to get on the plane.

Long traffic jam drive back into the city to our hotel. Where we dropped our bags at the oldest hotel in Tirana and went looking for lunch. Ended up with Albanian stew, Albanian specialty soup, and Greek salad. (Photos) Very salty. Reminds me a lot of Romania. Actually the whole city reminds me a lot of Romania. Communist Era 1940s-1991. This dictator had his own brand of communism, and therefore Russia and Yugoslavia were the enemy.

Walking walking. Caroline and I take an online self guided walking tour of Tirana city. We ended up walking about 9 miles. Some great architectural buildings. (photos) Not the most beautiful city, still remnants of the communist era. We walked by what was once the communist dictator’s house. Enver Hoxha. As you can see from the pictures it is by no means a palace. Apparently he is so hated they closed the doors on his house and left everything inside and never looked back.

Pyramid. Apparently the dictator’s daughter built a pyramid mausoleum for her father. See photos. But he was so hated. He is no longer underneath the pyramid and now it is a tourist attraction that you can climb and see the city from above.

Doors… I swear every door is not closed, but they have this little lip on the door that’s about a half inch wide that makes it look like the door is not shut, but it’s really shut. See if you can tell what I’m talking about in the picture. It’s driving me bananas because I’m trying to slam the doors, but they are already slammed shut.

Walked to this man-made lake and had a rest and watched ducks and dogs play for a while.

Stray dogs. You can notice in a picture that one of the stray dogs we met has a blue tag on its ear. Similar to feral cats in Arizona, they round up the stray dogs vaccinate them, spay or neuter them, and if they can’t find a rescue to take the dogs, they release them back into the streets. But by seeing the tagged dog, you know it’s safe and healthy. The stray dogs seem to be very well fed.

Artist meeting. Walking along, we were looking for things that someone would normally not see. I looked down and saw an artist studio so of course we had to stick our noses in the door. Apparently this artist was very famous during communist times for his caricatures of the United States in Russia politically. Anyway we talked a while. Got some photos and went on our way. He was quite intense.

Professor meeting. As we were walking along the street, looking for coffee to give us energy a man walked up to us and said, “I am a professor. Could you tell me what the word squander means.”After a discussion about using it in context, he gave us a whole history of how dictators all are trained in France. And gave us many examples of how to use or how should he use the word squander. We finally said we had to go to the bathroom and left.

Me always looking for the spiritual salvation we went into the orthodox church and took some pictures and tomorrow will be the Great Mosque. It was cool to see this man touching up the murals on the inside of the Greek Orthodox Church

My Fluent Spanish. As one would predict my Spanish is very fluent in Albania. I’ve ordered Café con Leche, and at the restaurant said no Gatos no perros allowed. Albanians do not speak Spanish anymore than they speak English, but this is all that comes out of my mouth. As when I was in China, it’s always Spanish.

Dinner… delicious dinner in the touristy section of town. Near the castle. I had my favorite big fat sardines, big fat, feta cheese, and other appetizers. We shared a liter of wine and sat in the cool night patio.

In conclusion, I cannot believe how nice people are here. Everyone goes out of their way to help us. Instead of charging us a full amount they charge us less, take our phone and set up Wi-Fi, park a car, whatever that needs to be done to help. Our hotel is a wonderful, we can’t be happier, but we can’t be more exhausted.

Oregon is well known for it's delicious wines. Throughout the month of May, wineries, vineyards, and tasting rooms open their doors to celebrate the return of spring and kick off the first chapter in the story of the next vintage. Wine Month brings a wide variety of events including new wine releases, live music and even garden tours.

For the entire month of May wineries and vineyards across Oregon, including in Kismet Harbor, will be offering discounts, specials and more! Happy Wine Month!

Learn how to pair wine and cheese at Mad Monk Brewing on May 7th, at 7:00pm, May 19th at 3pm and May 30th at 6:30pm. Sign up online to grab your seat for this class as they are expected to sell out quickly!

Neptune Oyster will be hosting a wine and dinner pairing which will occur on several evenings throughout May. On May 3rd at 8:00pm and May 21st at 6:00pm the pairing will involve red wines. On May 18th at 6:00pm and May 31st at 5:30pm the pairing will involve white wines.

Every weekend from 9:00am to 3:00pm both Kinsellas Vineyard and Cunnamore Vineyard will be offering tours throughout the entire day. Each vineyard tour is roughly a half hour and includes a free wine tasting sample at the end of a brand new wine. Sign up online for this event through each winery.

Downtown Kismet Harbor will be hosting art and crafts vendors, food trucks on the weekends and as well as a wine making contest at on May 11th there will be a wine making contest where contestants that sign up will make wine by stomping on grapes and the one that fills up the bottle the fastest will win! Live music will occur on Friday and Saturday evenings so make sure to come support your local musicians! The weekends are family friendly with face painting for children and a chance for them to stomp on grapes, too!

Don't forget to sign up your teenagers (14+) to help harvest at Cunnamore Vineyard and Kinsellas Vineyard to help harvest during as the summer starts out!

Cedar Grill and Lounge will be hosting a fundraiser event for Coastal Conservation Awareness. There will be workshops, guest speakers and interactive activities to raise awareness and funds for local conservation efforts on May 12th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm!

Head down to Kismet Beach for a surfing and paddleboarding competition! Entry fees will go towards the top voted for charity at the end of the month. This will occur on May 25th throughout various times during the day. Sign up to secure your spot now!

Additionally at Kismet Beach, there will be a dog walk where entry fees go towards the local animal shelter to procure needed supplies. The dog walk, which is approximately five miles long (but has many entry and stopping points) will take place on May 4th starting at 9:00am!
