"The Bad Kids shouldn't have said X" "The Bad Kids were too bloodthirsty" why do people watch a ttrpg actual play if they're gonna get mad about a very obvious combat encounter that has been building up for an entire season? Who gives a fuck if TBK killed TRG, they're NPC's and the cast was obviously leaning into the bit because of the absolutely silly way K2 died in the previous episode, sometimes you say and do silly or fucked up shit while playing d&d with friends. This doesn't have to be a moral quandary some people want it to be.

Lin Xue-Ya is like the best morally gray character ever because, unlike most morally gray characters (e.g. Wan Jun-Po), who do bad things in service of noble goals, Lin does good things purely because he’s a terrible person.

so! I kind of already experienced something like this last year, when i found myself um...in a situation like one you described...

I put al up on the shelf for a bit then picked him back up a few months later for much needed comfort among lots of confusion... I look at this Now as maybe being because, well. things started going south at that time and i needed Al again... + that makes sense! but i also have a friend who's in a long term relationship who still has thier own array of characters in their brain to lean on for comfort (though they aren't ocs)

like if the case is just that The Best Fit For Me, My Partner, really will make me forget about them, that makes me sad!!! Al has been in my life for such a long time. in those few short months of my situation where things were nice, I didn't have much to draw...! I don't know what I would draw if it wasn't my little comforts...! My yearning... It felt really weird even if i was happy for a little bit... it felt weird that he was just Gone.

BUT if the case is that i find a partner that's a good fit for me and i DONT forget about Al (and talon)...then that's also kinda sad...! Sad that I still need additional fantasy comfort that can never be real... because the little guys in my brain are like their own people... sad that there's nothing on earth close enough in the same way that everyone you date can have their own qualities you'll miss because theyre their own person, except they'll always just be in my brain and never in my arms etc etc... it is sad.... sometimes i just get emotional over having created em at all because all the outcomes are so sad to me......

I cannot emphasise enough, if your fantasy world has literal magical creatures and beings and cool monsters and people who can shoot magic out of their hands, and the protagonist's just "guy who's rlly good with [weapon we literally have in real life]", how little interest I have in your book

dunmeshi was a rly fun read but i feel like it got really dumbed down in the last quarter after everything got revealed, which is sad, bc i really enjoyed the characters and the themes, but it felt like such a slog to get thru until the end bc it felt like it was just one dramatic speech (usually from laios) to the next, with the characters frequently repeating long established info like the reader is too dumb to connect the dots themselves. which is kinda annoying in a manga geared towards adults.

I suppose I'm going to write a long writing about my experience with Barnabas inside fanfiction.

It's not like I'm against people's interpretation about him but I find it interesting how most of people perceive him as a character whose life filled with nothing but sex. How he praised Clive? Sex, how he interact with Sleipnir? Sex. It's really.... interesting? I suppose? Perhaps it's just on me who haven't explored the fic more but so far, just after I finish understanding the game, watching the walkthrough, watching some video essays in July, most of the fics are indeed filled with that aspect. I've found some that do not contain sex, but surely the gap between the one that contains sex and the one that do not contain is kind of big

For me, I think there still bunch of different aspects from him that we can explore. Perhaps his past, his belief, how he ended up with Ultima, his first encounter with Cid, Benna, Sleipnir. Anything. Of course most of the fics are good!! They're fantastic even, but I feel like this is really interesting because people kind of interpret him similairly.

I hate how much boring writing ruins a book for me. reading the unbroken and I’m fucking trudging through this shit bc even though to story is solid the writing is SO BLAND I’m sorry…
