Nana Visitor MADE the ds9 mirrorverse episode. She so perfectly hit the balance of In Charge and Spoiled Princess.

Mirrorverse!Kira is such a good example of "mirrorverse" rather than "evil". She's an inversion of Kira: She happily owns slaves instead of fighting for freedom, she uses her soft voice first to get what she wants before resorting to violence, instead of leaping into fights but being vulnerable when things matter, she is ultimately deeply alone and unsure of herself whereas our Kira has confronted a lot of her demons and has an incredibly strong sense of self.

It's just. SO good!

i started reading (and watching) delicious in dungeon/dungeon meshi and thought the cast would actually fit in ds9 pretty well!

laios would want to study and eat aliens, but i gave him command red because he's the 'party leader'. and also because he has many red flags... i guess aliens can be his side hobby?

falin also gets command red, she seems like she'd handle diplomacy stuff well. she gets taken by the wormhole aliens in exchange for saving the rest of the party lol.

marcille would have a hard time with the food on ds9, especially the klingon restaurant. i think she'd stick with replimat food most of the time. she's probably in sciences, and is studying wormholes/other dimensions.

chilchuck is already engineer-coded. his wife and kids probably lived on the station, but have since left. i don't know if his neck warmer thing is allowed, but he pins his rank pips on them.

senshi is totally friends with a bunch of klingons, to the surprise of no one (see: orc episode). they respect him and his willingness to eat klingon food, also he's a pretty honourable guy anyway.

and kabru... my beautiful boy... if he teamed up with julian, their prettyboy powers and shiny eyes would be unstoppable. maybe i have a favourite type of guy? i want to see him get sent on missions with laios (for the chaos) and marcille (i think they'd be good friends).

i'll probably draw more characters if i don't lose interest anytime soon, because boy do i have thoughts about the others too.

Kira's face, I love how much annoyance she can convey with even the subtlest expression.

She's surprisingly pleased at him listening to Bajoran music, I get the feeling she didn't think Julian could do anything she would like.

There must be dozens of things people learn about Kirk, yet he recalls and connects the dots immediately - and this was something he only "read about", not that he learnt at the Academy!

Killing a mirror image of your friends can't be fun, especially watching them explode graphically. I wonder how Julian will feel next time he sees Odo?

"Starfleet would probably have a big problem with that. ..... To hell with them. Let's go." There's a pause there, where I can only imagine Julian's thinking *well, Starfleet would have a big problem with me*

"This is my reward for treating you Terrans with the least bit of respect. Very well. I can learn from my mistakes." Man, the parallels with how Dukat always talks about how well he treated the Bajorans and how ungrateful they were...

How quickly Rebellion starts! It's funny, re-watching I'd forgotten that the rebellion we see later on actually started in this episode.

I'm headcanoning, from Julian's smile at the end there, it was a comment he had just made and explained about the whole experience, so it was the first thing Kira thought of to say XD

What a pair they make, Julian being the dirtiest scruffbag and Kira still in her elegant dress.

I ADORE this episode. So, so, SO good.

Everyone starts arguing that Worf should be Gimli, but I think it is funnier to imagine the gang discussing who plays who, Riker says as a joke Worf should be Aragorn. Worf is not sold on it. Troi joins in. Then Geordi. Data thinks it would be an excellent idea.

Worf remains unconvinced. Hardcut to him as Strider, brooding in the corner at the Prancing Pony.

Someone mentions DS9's, and Rom's girlfriend Leanne shows up briefly as Arwen, laying down heavy flirting as she gets in character. Whoever plays Aragorn is uncomfortable (Worf becomes more uncomfortable).

Then Sisko becomes Theoden, Garak as Denethor, and Gul Dukat as the Mouth of Sauron and he gets cut because no one can stand the guy.
