Genre: Indie/Alt Feel: Full, head-boppy, a little shiny on top, relaxing, chord-crunching with like a lot of suspensions, like a big indie/alt hug

When to Listen

This is the definition of a song for the car

Great for when you've got people over or you have the aux

When you really want a full ass sound envelope

You want a sad song that doesn't sound sad

You want Gregory Alan Isokov but with more music theory and momentum

Why I Deem This Track Toasty

The Sounds

This song isn't just catchy — it's gorgeous.

We've got the guitar, we've got the strings (violin?) and we've got a march-like beat that undoubtedly sounded dank live.

It appears the band hasn't been active since around 2014, and that's because, while on tour in the US, one of the band's members discovered he had a virulent form of cancer, and needed a bone marrow transport.

He's been recovering ever since.

The band member, Toby L, now works to encourage 18-30 year olds to donate blood marrow.

I feel like we need a compilation of Tom monologuing because like. Why do his monologues actually go so hard.

Like he doesn't have to improvise a genuinelly convincing Shakespearean monologue every time that "Shakespearean tragedy/comedy" is suggested during Genre, but he does anyway and I love him for it.

Sirius found him outside the house.

After looking around the small cottage Remus had grown up in, he had almost given up all hope of finding him; until he stepped out through the front door and saw smoke coming from his right. Following it almost instinctively, he came across Remus, leaning against the wall, cigarette in hand, staring off into space. His black shirt was untucked, tie loosened, and top button undone.

Sirius knew better than to ask Remus if he was okay. Especially not on that day. The answer was obvious, anyway.

Instead, he walked over, watching Remus snap out of his strange, spaced out mindset. He didn't turn to face him, though. Sirius stopped beside him, leaning and looking out where Remus was.

Still not talking, Sirius held a hand out. With a fond sigh, Remus handed Sirius a cigarette. He lit it with a click of his fingers, waiting in silence.

"I'm fine." Remus said finally. Sirius nodded.

"Okay."

"It was just- it was too loud in there. Stuffy. Needed to get away from everyone telling me they were 'sorry for my loss'." He added. Sirius turned to glance at him, Remus' eyes still fixed firmly on the floor. "You didn't have to come and find me." Sirius shrugged, turning away again.

"Wanted to. Whether you think it's stupid or not, I'm not leaving you on your own today." Remus didn't answer, but Sirius needed him to talk, to open up a little. Remus was being too stoic, and Sirius knew it was eating him up inside. That was just what Remus was like. "It was a really beautiful service. You did a good job." He felt Remus tense slightly beside him. "Hope would have loved it."

Remus' breathing started to go a little shaky, and Sirius knew what was coming.

"Padfoot..." Remus started, turning to him. "I'm- I'm not fine." Sirius nodded, dropping his cigarette and stamping it out as he pulled Remus into a hug.

"I know." He murmured, feeling Remus wrap his arms around Sirius. "I know, it's okay."

Remus dropped his head onto Sirius' shoulder, taking a shaking breath.

"How am I meant to just... move past this?"

"You don't have to, I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere." Sirius whispered.

Of course he was.

"Thanks, Padfoot. I'm glad you're here." Remus answered, voice breaking slightly.

Remus was his world, he'd do anything for him.

Warm kisses prickle across your woken skin, chilled by the morning air, humming at the feeling of being woken up to Viktor in his bed. Layers of blankets warmly engulf you both, keeping the morning cold at bay, feeling as his hands gently roam your skin from under the blankets.

Opening your eyes to the slight of Viktor, his hair tossed in different directions with eyes that matched your tiredness. Laying on your back, head turned, allowing his hand to cup your cheek, watching as his lips smiled at the sight of you.

Returning the smile, though feeling more playful, moving closer, resting atop his chest, inviting hands to wrap around you. Fingertips traced along your warm skin, looking up to meet a pair of amber eyes.

Shyly, his hand stops resting atop your arm. Viktor a bit embarrassed by your stare instead only continuing to look at you lovingly, enjoying the moment of the morning hoping it would last forever.

Breaking the moment with a kiss to Viktor's cheek, causing color to come to his cheeks, a laugh at the loving action, he returns the kiss, cupping your cheek. Landing kisses where he could as you moved away, holding on to him as he moved, attacking with kisses.

Hovering above with arms planted on both sides holding himself up, continuing his attack, feeling the soft tuffs of his hair between your fingers not wanting the morning kisses that wake you to stop.

Little rant i love mk11 kabal designs so much but i DESPISE what they did to him in the story mode he has so little going on he has what 3 minutes of screen time two dialogues NO PERSONALITY he has so much wasted potential im so so so mad past kabal also has nothing interesting going on after you beat him in the fight club he should have gotten a redemption arc or smth there was just so much potential for stuff with absolutely no exacution like i actually wrote 3 pages of stuff they could have done with him and the worst part is nrs keeps doing this Kombat kids, cyrax, cole young theres so much potential for stuff that they never do instead of letting the actual creative people be in charge they push any good idea to the back to focus on the same five charecters every game so thats why theres nothing for charecters like kabal and stryker also don't even get me started on the fact theres 0 stryker mentions by kabal like no intro duologue no nothing his only mention is by FUCKING ROBO COP
