Frontman Levi Benton shares of the track:
“‘Earth Shaker’ is our self description on the ones who are motivated to get themselves out of the ‘mayhem’ they are experiencing. Everyone out there has reached the breaking point where enough is enough and the time…
[Video ID: a very zoomed in version of the above sticker sheet, out of the packaging, being shaken. The contents of each lava lamp jiggle around rapidly. The audio consists mainly of a high pitched maraca-like sound, but there's also crickets in the background, and some kind of rhythmic thumping. End ID.]
When I was a child, to young to know the relevance of my name, nor the God it binds me to, but not too young to read or learn. I came across books of the Greek gods. Thus opening the doors that would lead me down the path I've walked for so long now.
But it was the Greek gods I learned of first, and not the Norse. But that didn't mean I wasn't guided towards them. After all, of all the Greek gods, there was one that drew my attention the most. One that seems so different, but is truly so similar to my namesake.
So it makes sense that I would be drawn to the other Earth Shaker, Father of Monsters, Father of the fastest Horse, Father of he who controls the tides, Brother of the King, a shapeshifter, whom in mycenaean mythos fathered the queen of the dead.
So simmilar are Poseidon and Loki, so simmilar indeed.

What music writers have said about "Earth Shaker":
"Unmistakeably Byrdsian in its lucid jangle, this solo project of The Warp/The Weft guitarist, wears the jangliest of hearts on an impossibly jangly sleeve." - Janglepophub.

"On “Earth Shaker,” the song begins with a nicely ringing-out guitar chord. Overall, a moderate tempo carries the song through at a nice pace. There’s something that really works on this one; it draws you in quite quickly. As a whole, the song, with its instrumentation, playing style, and melody that flows, brought about feelings of nostalgia to this particular listener – it is very enjoyable from start-to-finish. “ - Lucas Garrett, Nippertown

"It’s an endearing love song with summery guitars, making for a songwriting highlight. 'Tumbling down the walls we made up, everything we will do it’ll last forever,' Pellnat sings on the chorus. - Christian Hince, NYS Music
