Hello everyone! I'm writing this because I've locked my fics on AO3, due to a GenAI scrap of AO3. Most of my works are sadly affected, and have thus gotten stolen, except for like the newest two. @morriganfey has locked hers down too, and some others may too in the future.

If you want to read my works, whether new ones or old ones, you should get an AO3 account! I promise it makes things much easier!

This is a problem regardless of fandom or anything. If your fics weren't locked down already, and they fall between a certain number of ids, then it got stolen.

Now I've tagged this with mostly my own fics and the fandoms I've been posting fics in, but I've also tagged some Anti-AI tags and some tags relating to AO3, so hopefully a couple more people will see it too.

It'd be great if people could reblog this. Because regardless of fandom, this is a problem for everyone, both for artists and for writers

Whichever path Omi chooses when he gets older, I know that every time the Heylin Eclipse rolls back around, Omi never fails to arrive in the Land of Nowhere beforehand and personally have Chase's for the duration of it.

Whether Omi ends up a Xiaolin warrior or a Heylin one, he's still fiercely protective of this bond, like he was as a kid.

Even if Omi will usually just greet Chase as though it's a normal day, and he's just happened to stop by for some training or some mind games. And Chase plays along, even as the jungle cats are falling into their deep sleep during the height of the Eclipse and Chase feels himself growing weak and weary for a while, too.

It becomes a silent promise between Chase and Omi over the years. A regular routine.

The Eclipse itself is irregular in when it occurs, but it can be sensed, and Omi learns how to predict it coming, just for the sake of protecting Chase during the rare time when he's weakened.

Just realizing that the fact that there exists an “Angel Eyes” Eclipse implies the existence of either a more foreboding or comically innocent version of him called “Devil Eyes”

As entertaining as a detective Eclipse would be, innocent and way in over his head when it comes to dealing with a mob boss Y/N who just so happens to find him devilishly handsome and too clever for his own good, I'm thinking of something worse than a mob boss.

As a young rookie cop, you are attempting to put out so many fires in the city. The crime rate is abysmal. The politicians are running on fumes and bribes. The police force is barely hanging on through constant corruption. Animatronics are still considered inhuman, unalive, objects to be owned and used, and disposed of. You're hoping that the laws declaring animatronic rights will pass soon.

Murders happen every single day in a city racked with gangs, crime lords, and thieves. You and a few other officers are tasked with dealing with a particular crime scene. It's not unusual for a politician to get assassinated, but there's something particularly brutal about the killing that sits in your stomach wrong—there was blood everywhere.

Then another important person gets knocked off, the carnage grisly and crimson, then another, and another. You can't shake how savage the murders are.

High-ranking officials start having you and other cops stand as bodyguards, taking them where they need to go, standing outside their meeting doors and on the street of their homes at night.

The killings keep happening. You learn of police officers who were standing watch were gutted, too. Slained just as well as the intended target.

You do your job, but you don't like it. You became a cop to help the city. This wasn't what you had in mind, much less babysitting powerful and possibly corrupted individuals that you despise.

That's how you confront him.

Late one evening, sitting in a squad car with a fellow policeman, you two keep each other awake with small talk until you hear the faintest scream. You both take off, and you take the back of the house. When you enter the gauche kitchen, there's a cook animatronic knocked to the ground. You stop to speak to the poor robot, her optics fuzzy until you offer a helping hand and get her back onto her wheels.

Before you can send her somewhere safe, a cold shudder rolls down your spine, as if someone were walking on your grave. You whirl around to find a towering figure at the far end of the room, dark and threatening. Black optics with pinpricks of electric yellow peer at you in judgment. The devilish eyes startle your soul.

You yell out commands to stop but the animatronic—you realize—doesn't head and disappears deeper into the house.

You give chase. You hear a gunshot upstairs and a shout from your partner. When you reach the second landing, you lift your gun to take aim, but a large fist clamp around your own. You fire once, hitting nothing. You're thrown against the wall, dangling by the wrists under the looming killer. Sharp rays, burgundy and royal blue, circle his face plate, splattered in bright blood.

It's too late. It's too late for the politician, it's too late for your partner, and it's too late for you.

He takes your gun and drops it far away. His staggering height gives no hope that you can fight him off, and already, he has you pinned. You simply hope that it will be quick, painless, but your heart sinks when he lifts a hand to your throat. His optics glint. You close your eyes.

A cold, slick finger tilts your chin up. He commands you to look at him, and you aversely obey. The optics scan your face. You wonder if he takes a sick pleasure from causing harm. You loathe that he most likely finds fear in your eyes but you are determined to not make a sound.

"Officer," he says in a cold, dark voice that spears your heart. He studies the badge on your chest, reading your last name etched in brass. You clench your fists, still suspended by his one large hand.

"Who are you?" you demand.

He doesn't answer. He cocks his head with a flash of sharp teeth in a metallic grin. When he drops you, you nearly crumple to the ground. You're aware of the blood underneath your chin where he had touched you. When you try to reach for your handcuffs, he's already down the stairs and out the door, fleeing the murders. Trembling, you fumble for your gun, but you find the clip gone.

The killer animatronic left you alive.

Update on the AI scrapping situation

I really wish I didn't have to make another post about this, but here we are.

The AO3 dataset, while currently unavaible on the HuggingFace website. has been made into a downloadable, still avaible Torrent file by the person who scrapped AO3

And all the others are avaible here too!

This person scrapped all of these works, whether they be drawings or writings, for AI purposes and to sell them!

The website datafish, the one these are avaible on, is based in Russia, and from what I know it's not responding to DMCAs. Despite all these datasets consisting of stolen work, so far nothing has been done against these!

This was brought to my attention by @mazois in the previous post's comment section, and I've did a little bit of further digging into this, but just know I'm not an expert in this! I'm just another scared person who's work was stolen

This dataset is still downloadable! This can still be downloaded and used by anyone who wishes for it!

Now I really hate doing these tumblr posts, mostly because I shouldn't need to, but also because I kind of feel like I'm bothering people with this, but I just want everyone to have a chance to do something about this.

Right now I don't know if the same approach will work with this one. Even enough DMCAs get filed, maybe something will get done. But I don't know. All I know is that these things are still avaible, even at least one of those that were deleted off of HuggingFace

Now, while this is a shitty situation, please do not harrass this person! Not because of the whole don't get on their level or whatever, but because it might help them get these datasets back online if they can say they've been harrassed over this! If we want something to get done about this, we must not give this person ground to push back!

Hopefully I'm not too late coming in with some Black Arms headcanons. I've got a too few many(a byproduct of them being my primary fixation in the franchise) but I'll try to keep it to a minimum

The Hive's hierarchy is shown by the amount of jewelry one wears. Drones/Soldiers are the lowest of the low while the conscious Black arms wear certain amounts of jewelry, with Doom having the most and Eclipse having none(which, do with that as you will I suppose). It stems from metal and jewels in general being a very scarce resource they can only get from other planets so having more means more power.

Black Arms are almost similar to zombies in a way! The Hive is located in the head, so if you go for the head then you destroy the hive and it's connection to Doom, killing them near instantly due to their reliance on it's influence. The Black Arms with a conscious still have a hive core/organ(whichever u prefer) in their head, but's on a much lesser scale and it most likely wouldn't kill them to have it destroyed or removed as they don't rely on it to survive.

They preserve their prey similar to spiders. Eclipse says that their food being alive is a better nutritionally for them, which means they probably preserve it in some way. Some drones/soldiers may just have a paralytic venom and keep an eye on their prey until they're eaten.

There's probably other comets out there, not just the one(or two if we go off Archie) that we see. It doesn't make sense to keep a dying species all in one place with no backup, so I think logically there could be a chance of a lot more or even just a few more comets being out there

Bling. Maybe Eclipse doesn’t have any since he’s meant to fight and it’d just get in the way.

I’ve thought about the possibility of disconnecting a Black Arms from the hivemind by a lobotomy like procedure or head injury. The extent of the hivemind does confuse me as Black Wings are said to wander out of curiosity, which shows a degree of independence. I’ve also wondered if they’re naturally a hivemind or if Black Doom’s telepathy is just so strong he can subjugate them all, like how he tries to control Shadow and how Eclipse and Black Death temporarily control Shadow.

That makes sense.

I hope we get to see more about them and where they came from because a “tiny” comet seems like an odd place for an alien species, especially since there are no other species present like animals or even plants. Unless they ate them all.
