QPR stobin in their forties, married since, like, '87, finding out about qpr language. They see someone mention it or just stuble upon it on the internet and go oh!! That's us! That's what we have! :) Because they're still involved with lgbtq activism, and are like oh!! These young people have words for what we are isn't that amazing!

I think Robin would find out that sometimes people call their queerplatonic partner "zucchinis" absolutely hilarious and never refer to Steve as anything else. He's her zucchini. Her sweet yam. Her pumpkin pie. Steve giggles at it and says "because we're fruity!"

They don't get divorced to get married to their romantic partners because that's a hassle and also they don't want to. What would happen to the children. To the cats. To the fish the cats long to eat that they are expressly forbidden from eating because their mother and father are cruel and deserve jail for a thousand years. They are each other's PERSON, no romantic relationship will change that. This causes some stir when it's revealed Steve is Eddie's partner and also Steve has a wife. everytime i see tommy getting called a copy or a cut-out of eddie. i kinda wanna scream because ya'll basing it on what? him flying, liking fighting and cars?? so is everyone who served a card-board cut out?

and as i'm about to explain it, please don't think i hate eddie but these are things HE DID

so first, until it's confirmed in canon that eddie is queer, ryan has said he is a straight man. that is canon, that is the truth.

tommy is not. we know tommy struggled with himself and was in the closet during his time at 118, during the racist captain, he was in the army during don't ask, don't tell and i wonder if he knew about himself then as well

we know eddie joined the army in attempt to be a man, provide for his family AND to run away from his wife and child because he couldn't deal with his child's illness

as far as we know, we don't know WHY tommy joined but unless they're going to throw out some random shit about him having a secret family, it wasn't because of that

aside from the start, eddie is a fairly open and seemingly could lean more extroverted personality

tommy seems like a more reserved person, not to say he can't have fun but his resting bitch face goes strong

and my biggest point

eddie is continuously proved himself to a partner in ALL of his relationships, i don't care how you feel about shanon, anna or marisol. when it came to shanon, he OUTRIGHT ignored her please for help. he knew for MONTHS that her mother was dying and when he got back, he wanted to settled down instead of supporting his wife while she was going the shit of it on his own. with ana, instead of just breaking up with her, he used her to baby-sit chris, wasn't open and the breakup was horrible and i stand on the hill that she should've broken up with him. the same for marisol, he asked her to move in, it would've been another taylor thing if she had sold her home. and now, he's currently cheating on her or is willing to cheat on her. i hope she breaks up with him too

from what we know, tommy might not have been a great partner at times but we do know, is when it comes to something in a relationship, he communicates right away. some might not have liked the way tommy broke things off with buck after that date but he wallow around, he didn't make excuse, he didn't dance around the subject.

so to bring it all home, unless we find out tommy has a secret kid, with a dead wife that he left for the army and then a string of relationships where he let his partners go on thinking he interested in them only to do them dirty, he's not eddie's cut out. he's tommy who knew he was gay for a while and even after the 118 became more of accepting place, he didn't feel like he could be open. he's someone willing to put his life on the life for someone who saved his life (does this means he a copy of the whole 118), he enjoys spending times with his friends, and he's someone who make clear boundary's in his relationships with people.

like i'm sorry buddie isn't happening right now and i'm sorry that people are excited about tommy and buck's relationship and it feel like people are moving on from buddie but it's not gonna be made better but saying tommy is some place holder for eddie and buck really wants to date eddie and projecting that onto tommy

Mighty brain, ha you make me laugh. Anywho I just have a ton of one shot wips sitting in my docs and ONE day I will get them to ya'll. But here's a couple:

Mileven breakup. This isn't a byler one either, it's an au and Mike and El grow apart in college. Character analysis-isc vibes. I started this one in 2020, yikes.

Stenbrougzier sm*t. That's just it. The title is "My Best Friend's Boyfriend". I also started on the sequel of it bc I have no self control

Stenbrough Hunger Games. I have three chapters of this written but it'll probably never see the light of day. I started it with an ex mutual and even though I've went back and reworked it with just my ideas, I still feel weird about posting it. Which sucks bc it's good.

It Steddie meet cute. Eddie and Stan meet on a plane and it both just happens to be their first times on a plane and they're both terrified. But it's hard to be scared when a cute guy is there to hold your hand ;)

How much would it annoy ya'll to know that most of these are almost done (bc they're just one shots, like 2-4k) and I just haven't FINISHED them bc I hate myself 🥳

911 is literally just treading water. Most all plot lines have been resolved in an episode or two. Like Athena’s episode was great, Henren’s episode was great, but it’s also… sewn up. Finished. The only continuing storyline is one we all hate (Buck’s bio baby blunder). Eddie has had not much really to do. Madney getting back together was pretty much a nonevent. The radio silence on Bobby is finally bearing fruit but oh, it’s about a character we’ve never seen before and have about 30 seconds investment in.

They can’t seem to decide if they want to be a procedural, in which case they need to invest more in new and interesting calls and disasters. (It doesn’t have to be a tsunami! We know it can’t all be as wild as that. That doesn’t mean don’t try at all!) Or if they want to be character-driven, in which case they need to allow for actual character growth, not just Buck running in the same goddamn circle over and over. Istg, after the slog of BT and ending the season with him having finally decided for himself and looking so relieved I thought he’d grown and was so excited to see what came next for him, and nope. What happened in the four months after we left him looking so relieved and at peace after the breakup to make him worse than before? This is somehow even worse than cheating on his ill-suited girlfriend and moving her in. It’s character assassination 😭.

It’s like if they’re saving it for the back half they fucked up by lowering the stakes in the first half. The show’s ratings are still ok-ish but showing signs of trouble ahead and you can’t afford to count on everyone still being interested in March.

*siiiiigh* You're so right nonnie! I'll be honest, I did not watch 6x03. I couldn't watch live and then hearing what all happened I made the choice to nope out of that one. If I wanted to watch Law and Order SVU, I would do that, thanks. That said though, I get that it was a powerful episode for Athena and I am DISAPPOINTED she didn't talk to Hen about it and it hasn't come up again or affected her storyline in any capacity outside of that episode, and it's pretty much like that across the board. 6x11 was a lot about Buck and Bobby's relationship however Bobby had a HUGE thing the next week, and Buck is still struggling with his own recovery and they have not had a scene outside of work together or even talking about what major thing is going on with the other to anyone else! And ya'll know how I feel about Bobby's storyline involving a character we've never seen until he was dead and his whole story got retconned back to season 1 in flashbacks in one episode. Thanks, I hate it.

Nothing is holding any weight or carrying over, the emergencies in 6b have been somewhat better (6x10 by far had the most true 911 feel), but are steadily going back downhill and we are getting weirdly lots of calls with only part of the team on shift? Which after season 5 was ALL about how they cannot work without their partners, and the previous 4 seasons was all them on shift together just feels SO weird and off to me and I don't like it at all. And them doing nothing with the sperm donor arc but turning it into a joke that drug out all of 6a and then acting all *shocked pikachu* face when people hated it so much just makes me want to throw things because it EASILY could have been avoided! And they COULD have gotten so good and delicious drama out of it! But they have all these good set ups for all kinds of delicious drama for multiple characters that they do nothing with (the Chim abduction and possible Buck getting hit by the car comes to mind), and then complain that they are struggling to fill time and come up with plots, and they end up pulling THEE most random shit out of the air that involves sidelining characters with random side characters instead of doing things that involve the mains together! It's just...SO frustrating and they really need to do something about KR for real.

So like, this ex-coworker of mine from one of my first jobs, who I still keep in touch with, and she's like in her 70's, she started watching Stranger Things because I kept talking about it. And she just finished it the other night, and sends me a message saying:

"Well I just finished season four – – I love Eddie but I felt like I got cheated on by Stranger Things with that last chapter!"

No but like writers and buddie stans respectfully don’t want it a cheating arc for the wedding episode vrs the writers giving Eddie a cheating arc also they are doing vertigo and Tim talks about it so what I got from that is Shannon/ Kim works as a way for Eddie to break up with Marisol which like the hey could of done it easily but they want to give more trauma to pour Eddie and I feel like they gonna pull out a bones and show that actually Kim doesn’t look like Shannon and is all in eddies head also apparently Buck meets her and is like you don’t look like Shannon so if that happens prove is only on eddies head also I don’t think Eddie could like fully if the Buck seeing Kim is true I don’t think Eddie fully would say I went out with her when you think I was out with my girlfriend he would be more like I don’t know why this girl I saw looked similar to Shannon and Buck like no she doesn’t I do think that maybe Kim Shannon vertigo vibes can make Eddie start questioning his sexuality you know I was actually happy that they cut the m and Eddie kiss from this episode cause I think we all cringed when we saw the stills and we were like we don’t need stills and I’m still mad they got for cheating but we all gotta know that Ryan Murphy has a thing for cheating I mean glee is the blue print of it all so and I mean even Buck cheated so but I did appreciate they didn’t made buddie kiss in the party I was scared for that and like Oliver is like he don’t want cliches with Buddie which makes me think they he doesn’t love Buck Tommy as much cause they are a cliche actually like the jealousy is such a cliche and he didn’t even understand his jealousy at all but is a cliche

I'm pretty sure that Kim/Shannon is not all in Eddie's head based on the interviews, but its still a really fun (yet sad) theory.

Vertigo (which I have never seen so I can't really say much on) seems to be a running theme with this cheating storyline. But god I hope it won't result in the death of Shannon again.

Tim does seem to love his cheating storylines. 4X's now in just 911 alone. Like damn.

And I agree that Buck did not understand his jealousy and imprinted his confused feelings onto Tommy. I can't say if Oliver likes the relationship or not, but he has yet to hype it up on insta... he's only done that with buddie. Hehehe.

The tears that had been steadily building spilled when Shannon shook her head, "You mean so you can move on with your rich little boy toy? So you don't have to feel guilty anymore for using me? For cheating on me." She accused. Eddie ground his back molars, holding down the anger that boiled up. "I never used you. You weren't some cover-up for me being gay. I was a scared and confused kid. And yes my intentions at the time weren't entirely honorable or right, but I did love you. I will always love you." "Just never in the way you were supposed to love me." Shannon snapped. "Back then I thought it was enough, that how I loved you was how I should I have felt. But now, with Buck." Eddie looked away, hiding a tiny smile that came from the love he had for the quarterback. Telling Shannon how he felt about Buck would be rubbing dirt in a very old and infected wound. With a grimace, Eddie met Shannon's teary gaze once more, "I gave into my fear and the pressure to be the 'man' everyone wanted me to be. And I am sorry about that. Truly. But I-I can't regret our relationship because it gave us Christopher. He is the greatest thing that came from all of this, the most amazing kid, and is literally made up with the best parts of us."

Shannon is not going to be villainized in the story, but I am going to let her hurt and anger get the best of her a bit... That's all I'm saying for the moment. Hope you all enjoyed!
