Astarion is such an interesting character and a vital representation of trauma that was sorely lacking representation.

Not only does he have severe trauma but the way he deals with it even when he's being toxic is more healthy then most men making Astarion someone that others can see and relate to or aspire to be in the better aspects.

Tongues and Teeth is such an interesting song, I love the rhythm and the lyrics are so poetic yet tell a clear story that I can't fully put into words because ADHD.

Beautiful song, as soon as I first heard it I felt it matched Astarion and his ways of keeping others away for his own safety and even warning others of this trait even if deep down he wanted more.

sorry I haven't posted in a while I have just been thinking on what to draw so here is what I have

I had to retry the pose alot so yeah I don't know what I should do for the background if you want me to do the background just comment it down below or like smth else

Anyways I thought of a backstory for her I might try and make a little AI character for her on character AI if you want to check that out I will make another post on more about her but for know we are going to go to the beta version of her backstory

Name: Darla (if that is your name I did not mean to name her after you and pls don't get mad at me) so Darla is your elf on the shelf you always thought something was off about them until one night where a bit of magic was in the air you quietly crept down the stairs on the night of Christmas eve to go grab your midnight snack but that's when you see your elf silently stand up stretch and start moving around upon you witnessing this you slow and carefully crept towards the elf you were about to catch them but their pointy ears perked up and their body stiffened and before you could Even react to this action Darla quickly turned round and glitter quickly got thrown in the air giving them enough time to attempt an escape as soon as you opened your eyes and the glitter was gone you heard a small itsy Bitsy think on the ground beside you and saw you one and only elf Darla quickly pick herself up and off the ground brush her self off realize that you are still there and quickly run away you tried to catch her but she ran under the table where you couldn't reach you thought they would never come out from under the table until you got the brilliant idea to go out of her sight and wait until she thought the coast was clear to quickly grab her so that is exactly what you did to your surprise the plan actually worked not how you imagined it exactly but it worked and what I mean by not how imagined it I mean you had to take a crumb of your cookie and place it in the open to convince them to get out so when they did you quickly dashed to grab Darla successfully to question her

hey if you want me to do more of the story just let me know I would also like if you commented what should happen next I got some ideas but if you guys gave me suggestions it would really help me improve my writing and drawing

In the notes on that post, the most popular theory by far was espoused by @mitsuhachiinthehive, who posited that Gandalf hooked up with a hobbit at some point and [some of] the Tooks are his descendants. This idea was further spread thanks to @the-haiku-bot.

If you would like some a lot of context from canon so you can decide for yourself, more information about the Old Took is beneath the cut.

First off, it's established multiple times in the books what a big deal it was for Bilbo to beat Old Took's record. From The Return of the King:

He opened his eyes and looked up as they came in. 'Hullo, hullo!' he said. 'So you've come back? And tomorrow's my birthday, too. How clever of you! Do you know, I shall be one hundred and twenty-nine? And in one year more, if I am spared, I shall equal the Old Took. I should like to beat him; but we shall see.' [...] Little Elanor was nearly six months old, and 1421 had passed to its autumn, when Frodo called Sam into the study. 'It will be Bilbo's Birthday on Thursday, Sam,' he said. 'And he will pass the Old Took. He will be a hundred and thirty-one!' 'So he will!' said Sam. 'He's a marvel!'

Here's a biography on the old hobbit from Tolkien Gateway:

After the death of his father in 1248, Gerontius became the twenty-sixth Thain of the Shire. Gerontius Took reached the impressive age of 130, which made him the oldest Hobbit until his grandson Bilbo Baggins celebrated his 131st Birthday. Here we have Gandalf introducing himself to Bilbo in The Hobbit. Note that Belladonna Took is one of the Old Took's 12 (!!) children.

And for context, Sam was 102 when he sailed West, Merry was at least 103 and almost certainly older when he died, and Pippin at least 95. The uncertainty is because Tolkien describes their last years thus in the Appendices:

I've never really messed around with chat bots in all 3 decades of being an internet user but on a recommendation I looked up a specific one on an "adult" character chat site and just kept dismissing its horny prompts with mostly responses like "eh, nah" or "lol." I find it impossible for Optimus to be more than a million years old in this canon. In the least, he's older than 1000 years and since we have mfs that are canonically over 70 million years old(fagatron iykyk) compared to that, he feels like a dude in his early-to-mid-30's being the group parent.
