Summary: In which Jack has a bad game and takes out that anger on his girlfriend.

Tonight Jack had a game against the LA Kings and he had begged me to go as he just returned from his injury, and I was finally moved in with him fully. I had not been to many of his games as just until a few weeks ago I was attending college at Boston University, but my program had ended and I was now an interior designer. I had gotten an amazing job in Newark and I was so happy. I got to be with my boyfriend after two years of long distance. So now that I was in Newark and had gotten comfortable with my new job Jack was begging me to go to his game.

I agreed knowing it meant a lot to him if I was there, and told him from now on I would be going to as many games as I could. Jack and I were laying in bed after waking up from his pre game nap. My head was on his chest and his arms were wrapped around me, I looked up at him and asked"What should I wear". "Nothing" he responded. I hit his chest and he laughed and said "Wear whatever you want, preferably something red. I would give you a jersey but I don't have one". I nodded my head and got out of bed to go shower. I heard Jack groan from the bed and yell "I have to go to the rink, I'll see you at the game. Your ticket is next to some of the guys friends that come to the games. I love you". "I love you too" I yelled back through the bathroom door.

After I showered and dried my hair I started to get dressed and found the perfect outfit. A red corset top with jeans and an off the shoulder black zip up hoddie that Jack had custom made so that his number was on the back along with the name Hughes. I put some natural makeup on and put some beach waves in my hair. I looked hot and loved it. I grabbed my phone and wallet then made my way out the door. I got to the arena and went to where Jack told me to park my car, showed the guard the pass Jack gave me. I got a weird look from the guard but ignored it. I parked my car then made my way into the arena got a drink then made my way to my seat.

It took me a while to find it as I had only been in this place a few times and each of those times I had been with Ellen and Jim, so you could say that now because I am by myself I was completely lost. I looked like an idiot just wondering around trying to find the section on where my seat was. "Hey" I heard someone shout from behind me. I turned my head and saw two girls who looked to be a bit older than me but not by much. "I saw your jacket and I know they don't sell those anywhere, so we had a feeling you were the girl Jack told us would be sitting next to us" the one on the left said. "Gosh how rude of us I'm Lexi, and the one who shouted your name is Nora. We hope you're Aurora or we just made a fool out of ourselves".

I smiled and said "It's nice to meet you guys, and yes I am Aurora. I would assume your the two Jack told me I would be sitting next to tonight". They both nodded their heads and smiled "I'm so glad you guys found me because I was unbelievably lost and was about to give up" I said. The laughed and Nora grabbed my hand and we started walking to where I assumed our seats were. I was not paying attention to where we were going and so when Nora stopped I ran into her. "Here we are" Lexi said. I looked and saw we had seats right next to the devils bench right on the glass. "Wow" I said. Nora smiled and said "our boyfriends only get us the best". Nora gave her a look and said "You know the only reason we have the seats is so they can keep an eye on us during the game to make sure we are ok and safe".

I looked at them and said "that's what happens when you have an overprotective boyfriend". The laughed "I can tell we are going to like you" Nora said. I smiled and we all sat down and just started to get to know each other. I found out they were both 26 which meant they were both five years older than me. I didn't care though they were nice and I could tell we were going to be great friends. I finally asked who there boyfriends were on the team, but found out they weren't dating anyone and that there brothers were the ones that were on the team and got them the tickets.

Our conversation got paused when the horn sounded and the devils skated out for warm ups. They all had smiles on their faces and I saw Luke and Jack standing next to each other just talking. Luke pointed towards where we were sitting and Jack started to skate over. He got to the glass and gave me a big smile and held up his hand in a turn around motion. I knew he wanted to see the back of my jacket so I did as he asked and turned around to show him the back of my jacket. Once I turned back to face him he had a big grin on his face. I rolled my eyes at him but smiled nonetheless. I put my hand on the glass and he did the same and I mouthed "I love you" he smiled and mouthed back "I love you so much more".

He then turned and got a puck on his stick and tossed it over the glass and I caught it. He winked at me then skated away. I sat back down looking at the puck and Nora said "you guys are so cute". That made me blush. I looked next to us and saw a little boy that had a Hughes jersey on and I looked at the puck in my hands then turned to the boy and said "hey I couldn't help but notice your jersey, and this puck in my hand the Jack Hughes gave me. How would you like to have it". The boy just started at me and his dad spoke up and said "what do you say buddy" then boy took the puck and said "thank you so much miss". I smiled and nodded at them then turned back to look for Jack on the ice and saw him smiling at what I did for the little boy.

The game started and was going fine so far just a normal game, score 0 - 0 then the kings scored. It was only the first period so I was not too worried. It was getting toward the end of the second period and then the devils scored. I jumped out of my seat clapping and cheering as they skated to the bench celebrating. It was getting closer to the end of the second period and Jack got pushed into the boards and then got into a fight with some dude from the kings. The refs broke them up and Jack tried to go after the guy again, and that's when they both got a penalty. Jack skated to the box still yelling at the other guy and still very frustrated. I looked at him in the box and he just looked so pissed off. I decided after the game I would ask him what had happened.

Jacks penalty was over and he came out of the box at full speed and got the puck skating to the kings net he got a shot and some guy came behind him and pushed him with his stick so Jack missed the goal. He then got a rebound and shot again but missed the goal and I could tell by the look on his face that something was not right. He was standing off to the side expecting the ref to call a penalty but he never did. Jack then had enough so he started skating back to the bench and on his way hit his stick against the glass out of anger. Then when he got to the bench hit his stick on the boards and then it broke and he chucked it on to the ice. The kings bench started yelling at the refs on how it should have been a penalty but they never saw it so it was not called.

The rest of the game did not go in the devils favor they ended up loosing 2 - 1 and I knew that Jack was not going to be in a good mood. I said my goodbyes to Nora and Lexi and then walked to my car deciding to go home and make him some pasta Alfredo with my homemade garlic bread. It was his favorite and I loved cooking it for him. I knew he would be a bit behind me because I knew he was going to get interviewed even if he didn't want to. Once I made dinner I plated it and put his bowl on the counter and then sat in the seat next to that.

About five minutes later Jack walked in the door and he looked upset and mad. "Hey" I said. He didn't say anything back and I knew it was because he was upset. "I made your favorite if your hungry" I tried again to get him to respond to me but nothing. I didn't want to keep pestering him so I just let it be. "Do you want me to put it in the fridge and you can have it later" I asked him. He finally looked at me and said "can you just leave me alone! I'm not hungry! I just need some space and you are not making that easy! Just leave me alone for once and stop being clingy!" He said as he blew up at me. I just looked at him with tears in my eyes. He knew that I hated being yelled at after my home life and how I grew up. I knew he was upset but he didn't have to take it out on me.

I just looked at him as tears started rolling down my face. He took it too far when he said I was being clingy, he knew that I only cared about him and babied him at times like this because no one cared for me growing up and I just cared so much so that I would see the same in return. "Fine whatever, you can sleep on the couch tonight if you don't want to deal with me because I'm too clingy". I said with tears running down my face. He then finally realized what he said and tried to reach out to me but I turned around and ran to our room with him right behind me. I beat him there and slammed the door in his face and locked it.

"Baby I'm sorry you know I didn't mean it. Please open the door let me hug you I'm sorry. I had a bad game and I took it out on you, I'm sorry. Please open the door Rory". He said begging while knocking on the door. I ignored him and just fell against the door crying. "Baby please let me in you're going to have a panic attack if you don't calm down. Please let me in, let me comfort you". He tried again. I walked to the bed ignoring his request and played down with my head in the pillows still crying. I heard him keep knocking and trying to get in the door when I heard the door bust open and Jack came running in.

He gathered me in his arms leaning against the head board with me curled up in his lap. "Shhh, it's ok, I'm right here". He said as one of his hands rubbed my back and the other one help my head to his chest. "You've got to calm down for me ok? Breathe, listen to my breathing and copy me". I nodded my head at his request and copied his breathing and I finally started to calm down. Once I was calm he hugged me to him tight as I tried to get away from him. "I'm so sorry sweetheart, I didn't mean any of what I said ok. I let my anger get the best of me and I took it out on you" he said as he kept hugging me. "I'll make it up to you in any way I can, you just name it". I nodded into his chest just wanting to go to sleep.

I fell asleep on his chest and woke up the next morning alone. So I walked out into the kitchen and saw a big bouquet of red roses on the counter, with a bag of pink starbursts, and a card. Then I looked in the kitchen and saw Jack cooking what looked like waffles. There was already a plate with two waffles with whip cream, fruit, and some syrup on the side, along with a chai latte from Starbucks right next to it. I looked up at him and he said "this is just the start of me saying I'm sorry for last night. You are going to get pampered all day by me, and I will do anything you ask" he said. I walked over to him and wrapped him into a hug and he hugged me right back. "Jacky I forgive you, I know you had a bad day yesterday and I know that's no excuse for what you said, but I can tell you are unbelievably sorry for what happened. And just that makes me forgive you. You are the best boyfriend I could ask for thank you for doing all of this for me".

Jack kissed me on the top of my head over and over as he swayed us back and forth in the kitchen. "I love you so much, and I don't deserve your forgiveness but I'm thankful for it. I will be spending the rest of my life loving you and caring for you. I love you so much and will forever apologize for what happened last night, and I can promise you it won't happen again" he said. I kissed his chest and we just stayed in each other's arms all day while he pampered me, and told me every five minutes that he loved me and that he was sorry. I was so grateful for him and all he did for me.

i feel like angel and the guys never announce that luke is back in the dynamic, and the way they “tel everyone” is luke being back in the christmas card that she totally makes them do every year

their entire relationship has been fueled by speculation and that doesn’t change when everything happens with luke. the only reason people know something is up is that he and jack are obviously distant from each other during team events and the biggest clue was during the cup parade, angel and the twins were on a fire truck with jack while luke was completely separate with some of the single members of the team.

when he’s back in their lives, they keep equally as mum as they had been for five years because it was truly no one’s business besides their own.

it’s easy to convince her boys to get in front of the fireplace at jim and ellen’s in their cream colored pajamas with pastel colored gingerbread on them. she’s in between quinn’s legs while jack and luke flanked either of her sides. wren is sat properly in luke’s lap showcasing her newly acquired mini stick while drew is climbing all over jack.

she posts the picture without thinking much about it, a simple heart as the caption and quickly turning off the comments because she couldn’t bear to read the questions about why luke was suddenly in family photos again or why her onesie was clinging a little tighter to her midsection.

she had her family. her babies were happy. and she was almost halfway done carrying their third child, their second daughter, and maybe she was tired of the baggy sweatshirts and sucking in.

A lelkész szerint azzal érdemelte ki a miniszterelnök bosszúját, hogy rendszeresen kritizálja a kormány politikáját, illetve a neve felmerült mint lehetséges ellenzéki államfőjelölt.

Azt, hogy valóban így van-e, nem ebben a cikkben fogjuk megfejteni. A kormány egy-két esettől eltekintve látványosan nem foglalkozik Iványi Gáborral és a MET-tel. Nem indult Iványi ellen olyan átfogó lejáratókampány a propagandamédiában, mint például ellenzéki politikusok vagy kormányellenes tüntetések főszereplői ellen.”

Vádat emeltek egy 36 éves pilisborosjenői férfi ellen, aki 2019 második fele és 2020 februárja között marihuánával és ecstasytablettákkal kereskedett Budapest III. kerületében.A Fővárosi Főügy��szség szerint a drogkereskedő 2019 és 2020 között marihuánát és ecstasytablettákat árusított Óbudán.

A vádlott legalább 18 emberből álló vevőkörrel rendelkezett. Ügyfelei tudták, hogy a férfi minden hétfő és csütörtök este 6 és 7 óra között két, III. kerületi helyszínen drogot árusít. A díler a vevőivel minden esetben előzetesen, telefonon egyeztetett.

Jól keresett az áruval

A vád szerint jellemzően pár grammos kiszerelésekben, grammonként 2000 forintért értékesítette a kábítószert – írja az MTI.

A vádlott elfogása előtt több vevőjével is utcai találkozót beszélt meg, majd 13 csomag marihuánával meg is jelent. A helyszínen a férfi és négy vevője ellen intézkedtek a rendőrök.

Az elfogás napján a nyomozók a vádlott III. kerületi bérelt garázsában, illetve gépkocsijában több mint 1,5 kilogramm marihuánát találtak, a férfi pilisborosjenői lakcímén pedig ecstasytablettákat és 3 millió forintot foglaltak le. A vásárlókkal szemben külön büntetőeljárás folyik.

Magyarországon a leginkább elterjedt tudatmódosító és függőséget okozó szer az alkohol, de különböző kábítószerek is jelen vannak, melyek trendjéről, népszerűségük okairól ide kattintva olvashat. Tudományos kutatások azt bizonyították, hogy a Balatonban többféle kábítószer kimutatható.

Beszélgetés Ken Follett-tel a Kingsbridge sorozat 5. kötete, A világosság fegyverei kapcsán

Ez a könyv az ipari forradalom idején játszódik – miért pont ezt az időszakot választotta?

A késői 18. század, amikor A világosság fegyverei játszódik, a nagy viszályok kora volt. A konfliktusok mindig nagyon jó alapot adnak egy regénynek és ebben az időszakban sok sztrájk, és kenyérlázadás volt, valamint az emberek fenyegetve érezték magukat, hogy az új gépek elvehetik a munkájukat. Mindezeket a problémákat mélyítette a Franciaországgal szemben zajló háború, amely 23 éve tartott és magas adókat eredményezett, a férfiakat pedig erőszakkal kényszerítették a hadseregbe, hogy Napóleon ellen harcoljanak. De a 18. század egyben az egyéni szintű fejlődés időszaka is volt, mivel egyre több ember tanult meg olvasni és szakított időt arra, hogy fejlődjön, és képezze magát.

Miközben ezt az időszakot kutatta, volt olyan felfedezés, amely meglepte vagy nagyon feltűnő volt? Vannak kevésbé ismert tények /adatok az 1700-as évekből, amelyekről azt gondolja, hogy több embernek kellene ismernie?

Azt tudtam meg, hogy rengeteg nő kísérte a brit hadsereget a waterlooi csatába (és máshova is). „Táborkövetőknek” nevezték őket, de nagyon bátrak voltak és fontos munkát végezetek, például vizet és lőszert hordtak a férjüknek a csata idején. Ez egy csodálatos felfedezés volt és ez késztetett arra, hogy fontos szerepet írjak az egyik női karakteremnek.

Van párhuzam A világosság fegyverei és napjaink között? Van valami, ami visszacsenghet abból a korból a mai olvasók számára?

A 18. század utolsó évtizedében megélhetési válság volt jellemző, amit most érzékelünk Nagy Britanniában és szerintem sok más országban. Az asszonyok, akik nem tudták megoldani a családjuk etetését, betörtek a pékségekbe és ellopták a kenyeret.

Híres az alapos kutatásairól, utánajárásáról. Milyen kutatásokat folytatott A világosság fegyverei előtt, és ez miben hasonlított a korábbi könyveihez kapcsolódó munkájához? Könnyebben kutatható időszak volt?

A legtöbb információt könyvekből és térképekről gyűjtöm, de szeretem meglátogatni a helyszíneket. Könnyebben tudom elképzelni a helyszínen a történetet, és ezért életszerűbben tudom átadni az olvasóknak. Múzeumokban jártam, mint például a Quarry Bank Malom (Anglia, Cheshire). A múzeum, amelyet a National Trust üzemeltet, valamikor szövő malom volt, olyan amelyben az egyik szereplőm dolgozott. A látogatásom során nagy hatással voltak rám a gépek, amelyeket használtak és az az elviselhetetlen zaj, amelyet azok kiadtak. Egy hetet töltöttem a waterlooi csata helyszínén egy szakemberrel, aki nyugdíjas tábornok. Séta közben néztem a tájat, a földeket és a gazdasági épületeket.

A könyveire jellemző a sokféle és változatos szereplőgárda, miket mesélhet A világosság fegyverei szereplőiről és ki a kedvence?

Egy Sal nevű nővel kezdődik, aki fonónőként dolgozik (a szövéshez szükséges szálat készíti el gyapjúból). Sal kemény asszony, de van egy finomabb, romantikusabb oldala is. A fia, Kit, a kezdetektől Sal mellett dolgozik a malomban, és végül egy új szövőgépet talál fel. Aztán ott van Amos, egy jószívű malomtulajdonos, akire a zsarnoki apja hatalmas adósságokat hagyott; David Shoveller, becenevén Spade, egy bölcs és eszes kereskedő, aki kingsbridge-i szakszervezeti mozgalom alapítója valamint ott van Elsie Latimer, a püspök lánya, aki a szabadidejét áldozza fel, hogy vasárnapi iskolát üzemeltessen Kingsbridge legszegényebb gyerekei számára. Elbűvölő személyiség, de az egyik kedvenc szereplőm Jane Midwinter, társaságbeli metodista hölgy, aki bár rossz döntéseket hoz, nagyon bátor teremtés.

Rengeteg jellegzetes gonoszt alkotott az elmúlt években, találkozhatunk igazi alávaló szereplővel az új könyvben?

Ennek a könyvnek a főgonosza Joseph Hornbeam, egy kegyetlen üzletember, akinek sötét titkokat vannak a múltjában. Ő a legrosszabb munkáltató, akit csak el tudunk képzelni, és remélem egyik olvasómnak sincs ilyen felettese. Az első kéziratomban a londoni és New York-i szerkesztőim úgy érezték, hogy nem kapott elég borzasztó véget ez a szereplő, így újraíráskor egy sokkal rosszabb kimenetelt alkottam, amely az olvasók számára is kielégítő volt. Igazán rémes ember, de mégis az egyik kedvenc szereplőm a könyvben.

Mostanában a Bibliából merít ihletet a könyvcímeihez. A világosság fegyverei is egy bibliai utalás? És ha igen, elmondaná mi a jelentése?

Igen, a cím a Rómabeliekhez írt levél egy részéből jött: „Az éjszaka elmúlt, a nap pedig elközelgett; vessük el azért a sötétségnek cselekedeteit, és öltözzük fel a világosság fegyvereit”. (Róma 13:12, Károli fordítás) Azért választottam A világosság fegyvereit címnek, mert a 18. század azon időszakában, amikor a könyv játszódik, az emberek tanulással igyekeztek fejleszteni magukat. Így ebben az esetben a tudatlanságot szimbolizálja a sötétség, míg világosság jelenti az oktatás által a tudatlanság eltűnését.

A világosság fegyverei az Kingsbridge sorozat 5. kötete. Mi készteti arra, hogy visszatérjen Kingsbridge-be és mi teszi különlegessé ezt a kitalált települést, hogy ennyire szeretik az olvasók?

Amikor - most már több, mint 30 évvel ezelőtt - először megalkottam Kingsbridge-t a Katedrális című regényemhez, nem gondoltam volna, hogy az olvasók ennyire fognak hozzá kötődni. Számomra Kingsbridge egész Nagy Britanniát jelképezi. Amikor el akarok mesélni egy történetet a történelemből, mint például a nagy pestis vagy az ipari forradalom, amelyek sok embert érintettek és évtizedes hatásuk volt, akkor könnyebb mindezt kisebb és ismerős közegben elhelyezni, nekem ez Kingsbridge. Természetesen most már sok olvasó számára lett egy különleges jelentése Kingsbridge-nek, igazán hízelgő, hogy létezik egy általam kitalált hely, ami legalább olyan fontos néhány embernek, mint az igazi helyek, amiket ismernek és meglátogatnak.

A világosság fegyveri néhány jelente a waterlooi csatatéren játszódik. Nehéz megtörtént történelmi eseményeket és kitalált szereplőket összeegyeztetni? Szigorúan ragaszkodik a tényekhez vagy engedélyez magának egy kis alkotói szabadságot?

Sosem használom az alkotói szabadságot arra, hogy megmásítsam a történelmet. Úgy hiszem, hogy az olvasóim értékelik, hogy a regényeimben szigorúan pontos a történelmi háttér. Néha problémát jelent, amikor a történelem nem illik bele abba a történetbe, amit le szeretnék írni, de én mindig a történetet változtatom meg, nem a történelmet.

Korábban említette, hogy A világosság fegyverei a szabadságért való küzdelem. Ezt egy kicsit jobban kifejtené? Ez kifejezetten ennek a könyvnek a témája vagy az írásainak általában?

Sok könyvem szólt a hétköznapi emberek küzdelmeiről, ahogy harcolnak a szabadságukért, vagy társadalmi igazságtalanságok ellen, és ez alól nem kivétel A világosság fegyverei sem. Az ipari forradalom idején nagy küzdelem zajlott a szakszervezetek alapításának jogáért, jobb fizetését és jobb munkakörülményekért. Úgy gondolja, hogy most utoljára látogatott Kingsbridge-be, vagy van esély, hogy a jövőben újra visszatér?

Les épreuves auxquelles le chrétien est exposé — la tristesse, l'opposition, l'opprobre — sont le moyen que Dieu a choisi pour séparer la balle du grain. Notre orgueil, notre égoïsme, nos passions mauvaises, notre amour du monde, tout cela doit être vaincu. C'est pourquoi Dieu nous envoie des afflictions pour nous éprouver et nous montrer que ces défauts sont encore dans notre caractère. Nous devons avoir la victoire par sa puissance et par sa grâce, afin de devenir « participants de la nature divine, en fuyant la corruption qui existe dans le monde par la convoitise ». « Car nos légères afflictions du moment présent, dit saint Paul, produisent pour nous, au-delà de toute mesure, un poids éternel de gloire, parce que nous regardons, non point aux choses visibles, mais à celles qui sont invisibles; car les choses visibles sont passagères, et les invisibles sont éternelles. » 2 Corinthiens 4:17, 18. La plupart de nos souffrances nous ont été envoyées par la sagesse de Dieu qui désire ainsi nous attirer plus près de son trône de grâce. Elles concourent à adoucir et à attendrir nos coeurs. Cette terre est le lieu de travail du Seigneur; il nous façonne afin de nous faire entrer dans les parvis célestes. Tel un chirurgien, il emploie son divin bistouri pour détacher de nos coeurs ce qu'ils ont de défectueux et d'impur; alors nous sommes aptes à occuper les places qui nous ont été préparées dans les cieux. Les épreuves et les tribulations nous fortifient et nous purifient en modelant notre caractère sur celui du Christ. Considérons les afflictions qui nous éprouvent si cruellement comme des leçons instructives, nous enseignant à nous hâter pour remporter le prix de l'invitation solennelle que le Christ nous adresse. Soyons encouragés par la pensée que le Seigneur revient bientôt. Que cette espérance réjouisse notre coeur.

Sa parole a-t-elle disparu pour l’éternité ?

L’esprit du psalmiste David a expérimenté de nombreux changements. Parfois, quand il se rendait compte de la volonté et des

voies de Dieu, il sentait une grande euphorie ; puis, lorsqu’il entrevoyait l’envers de la miséricorde et de l’amour l’immuable de Dieu, tout lui paraissait enveloppé d’une nuée de ténèbres.

Mais à travers l’obscurité, une vision des attributs divins lui parvenait ce qui lui donnait confiance et fortifiait sa foi. Mais quand il méditait sur les difficultés et les dangers

de la vie, il lui semblait si difficile de les porter, qu’il se sentait abandonné de Dieu à cause de ses péchés. Il voyait si clairement son

péché qu’il s’exclamait : « Le Seigneur rejettera-t-il pour toujours ? Ne

sera-t-il plus favorable ? »

Mais tandis qu’il pleurait et priait, il obtint une vision plus nette du caractère et des attributs de Dieu... Sa foi s’ancra en Dieu, et il fut encouragé et fortifié. Bien qu’il reconnût que les voies de Dieu sont mystérieuses, il savait qu’elles étaient miséricordieuses et bonnes, car tel est le caractère de Dieu tel il fut révélé à Moïse...

Quand David s’appropria ces promesses et privilèges, il prit la décision de ne plus avoir de jugements hâtifs, de ne pas se décourager

ni être abattu par un désespoir inutile.

Son âme reprit courage quand il

contempla le caractère de Dieu tel qu’il est révélé dans Ses enseignements, Sa patience, Sa grandeur infinie et Sa miséricorde…

Dieu dispense ses bénédictions tout le long de notre chemin pour éclairer notre voyage et attirer nos cœurs pour L’aimer et Le louer.

Il veut que nous tirions l’eau du puits du salut pour que nos cœurs soient rafraîchis. Nous pouvons chanter les hymnes de Sion. Nous

pouvons réjouir nos cœurs et nous pouvons réjouir le cœur des autres.

L’espoir peut être fortifié et l’obscurité devenir lumière.

Dieu ne nous a pas laissés dans un monde obscur-comme des pèlerins et des étrangers

à la recherche d’un meilleur pays, à la recherche du pays céleste sans

nous donner de précieuses promesses pour alléger chaque fardeau. Le bord de notre chemin est parsemé de belles fleurs de promesse. Elles s’épanouissent autour de nous et nous envoient des parfums capiteux.

Combien de bénédictions ne perdons-nous pas parce que nous les laissons passer et nous les négligeons, aspirant à ce que nous n’avons

pas…La fleurs cachée qui pousse à l’ombre réagit au moindre rayon de

lumière qu’elle peut recevoir et produit ses feuilles. L’oiseau en cage

chante dans sa prison sans soleil comme dans une demeure royale et ensoleillée…

Dieu aime un cœur reconnaissant qui a une confiance implicite dans Ses promesses qui donnent une place à l’espoir et au

réconfort. Il révèlera encore de plus grandes profondeurs de Son

amour…

Saisissons par la foi les riches promesses de Dieu et soyons

reconnaissants du matin au soir…

Saturday Ellen and I again went down to Tel Aviv to be with the families of the hostages. It was good to be with people who care but it also amazes me that so many people do not seem to care. Have I said before how much I admire the British for all the years that they endured the second world war. One month and it is like being in a continuous nightmare.

Both of us were exhausted and came back in the same state. Saturday night there was another demonstration also in the centre of town and I don't know why but it was perfectly quiet. Only about three or four police and no hecklers which makes me even more sure that the attack on us a week and a half ago by the police was planned by them. I don't know what happened but maybe they realised they had gone too far. But now they are arresting all sorts of Arabs for posts on facebook and thought I don't like what they like but the extreme Rabbis and people like Ben Givr say and post much worse things and nothing happens to them. I also once said to you that what happens with the Palestinians would eventually happen with those on the left against Netanyahu. Now a pilot who wrote against Netanyahu has been fired. The time will come when they will pray for him to come back. AND THIS we would like to draw your attention to thElegislation pushed by far-right Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir and set to be voted on in the coming days. This proposal seeks to grant police officers the right to shoot at protesters "obstructing roads or town entrances" with live ammunition. This presents a real threat to human lives and human rights by denying people’s right to demonstrate, and will undoubtedly lead to violence escalation.

Pictures from the demonstration, two babies who are kidnapped, And the last photo of the phone call all which ended suddenly, either from someone in the army or someone kidnapped and sometimes the family is still wondering if the person is lying dead somewhere, kidnapped or what.

Dr. Abd Samara should be returned to his job as director of cardiac intensive care and allowed to save Jewish and Arab lives as he has done to this day with endless dedication".

We waited from three to after seven but it was worth it. The first woman who came out was not expecting to see people and when she saw us she covered her face in surprise and wept. They told us not to forget them and we told that we were were every night. Cars come past and hoot support, others stop and curse us. Everything one does is seen as an act against the government. In the meantime Netanyhua's nightly broadcasts sound like something out of a Charlie Chaplin movie. The only person worth listening to it the army spokesman and one can only wonder how much of what we are hearing is true.

Anyhow next morning someone sent me a photo which had appeared in the Jerusalem post of our demonstration and then I was amazed to get a whatsapp from the daughter of a friend of mine who died some years ago, Hilda with whom I had worked in South Africa.

She said they had been watching the Afrikaans news and suddenly she said to her husband....that is Natalie and she took a screenshot which she sent me.

I have been volunteering at Hansen to make sandwiches and after a morning of cutting parsley and koesbara and tomatoes I come out feeling like a salad. I take a sleeping pill but still wake up exhausted.
