Both of them often brought back items from the Human World. This in particular was a green tea mix his Ferryman adored. Bitter, but comforting with it's own unique flavor.

The Wrath that seethed from him was enough to condemn him to Hell in the first place. though it stemmed from those around him. Those who refused to take such responsibility.

Michael only served as a reminder of those times. And it pissed him off.

"So.. how did it go? Did he fuck off to go back home? Back to those pearly gates he so cherishes?" Bitterness coated Hades words as he sat down. The break room in the Halls was always a quiet place at least. Away from prying ears or eyes. No one around to spy on the two of them talking.

Even if it was rather chilly.

You know, I actually don't mind Hades being Mal's dad. Personally its something I had headcanoned since the first movie.

What I do have an issue with is the ember.

WHY DOES HADES HAVE A MAGICAL EMBER THAT "HOLDS HIS POWERS" OR WHATEVER?

He's HADES, his magic is not going to work like the rest of the magicals on the Island. The fact that he's ON the Isle and it is supposedly able to hold him there is ridiculous. He's a freaking Greek god. Come on!

Also, who's running the Underworld exactly? Persephone is only there for six months of the year. Is it just being overrun? Or is Hades secretly running it because who else is going to do it?

What's the whole point of the Ember? I watched Hercules countless of times and I never saw Hades with one. So what gives?

Your guess is as good as anyone's, really. It never existed until Descendants 3 and its not based on anything in the mythology, because Hades item of power in mythology is the Helm of Darkness, something that allowed him to go invisible. So I do not know where they got the idea for the ember beyond it being simply just a plot device to keep things moving or be an excuse to have our characters go back to the Isle and maybe have Hades film bait type of footage for the trailers that purposely miss-led anyone who watched them...and also be another crime that's just used to never bring anymore kids off the Isle even though they didn't do anything, but I digress there.

Like, for the first and second films, the plot device was the wand. Which in itself, was said to be more powerful then Maleficent's scepter which....okay, guess we need a reason for why everyone on the Isle wants the damn thing. But reusing the wand for the third film likely was too obvious so they made up a new plot device: the ember. And wouldn't you know it: now the wand is no longer the most powerful item in existence, no, its the ember. Which....bit odd cause if its capable of draining peoples powers and weakening people and such, you'd think Hades would have used it in the animated film. Like damn, Hades, you really could have drained Hercules as a damn baby here with that ember. But yeah, they claim the ember is more powerful then Maleficent's scepter and....yeah, the plot of the ember stealing Mal's magic goes nowhere beyond I guess showing us what it can do, because Mal gets her magic back once she takes it off Hades and it also for some reason makes her hair and outfit blue.

And....for some reason it can be ruined by water...seems a bit of a weird weakness to have for a gods weapon, especially as the underworld had rivers and such, but... Oh and for some reason it can reignited by the power of friendship....did not know Hades or his ember was into that shit but the more you learn I guess. But once the ember is used to defeat Audrey (and nearly kill her cause Mal being half-Hades, couldn't use the ember properly) and its used to revive Audrey, that's....it. It gets passed to Mal by Hades and we don't even see her give it back, so guess the god gave up his item of power to the museum for all we know by giving it to Mal.

Like I really don't know what was the point of this ember beyond being a plot device that doesn't even fit Hades really and makes him stupid in the animated film if he had this weapon the entire time, and it basically inserted ANOTHER more powerful device into this universe...at least until the confirmed fourth film that if the synopsis we got given is correct, will somehow give the white rabbit...a time travelling pocket-watch...I....yeah, if there's anything to take away from the ember: its another plot device the film made up to excuse half of the bullshit that goes down in film, had a pointless plot with Mal's magic that I'm being kind to by calling it a plot even and probably now joined everything else in the museum to make way for another pointless plot device in the next film.

Hades Ember; is a small blue gem that glows like fire or a lost soul, its origins are unknown to those who are not within the personal circle of lord Hades; god of the underworld and souls.

Origins; its beginnings are unknown to Auradon and its people-including its now ex-king; Adam/Beast. But it’s rumored by those of the isle that the ember was created by Hades as a last-ditch effort to keep his powers, only to fail and the ember remained dormant until magic began to leak through the magical barrier around the isle of the lost. If one asked Hades-he would say he always had it.

It is unknown if the kingdom of Auradon and its royalty know of its existence. However-there is no files or recordings of the Ember before the August 2019 “scepter” incident, so it is theorized that the ember was only known to the isle and its people.

According to Hades and Lady Mal; the ember can only be used by those who share blood with hades, are claimed by Hades, or are born with the mark of hades. After acquiring the Ember, Lady Mal was able to use some of her father's powers while holding the Ember-but reported she lost those powers when not in possession of the Ember. Some side effects she reported were her outfit colors and hair color shifting to hold more blue instead of her mother's purple.

Its power is unknown but suggested to be immense since it apparently can overpower the dragon's eye scepter-Maleficents scepter, which until the emergence of the Ember, was only to be defeated by Fairy Godmothers' wand. One would think this ember would be sought after and hoarded by those who seek power-but since the ember cannot be used by those who do not share Hades blood or blessing-it is deemed useless by those who wish to horde such powers.

Its apparent powers are beams of light that feel like fire(according to lady mal) that can drain one of energy or magic to power the ember further. It can give one the powers of Hades, such as super strength, immunity to death, clairvoyance, soul manipulation, seeing the strings of fate and life, Pyrokinesis, super speed, enhanced reflexes, and the ability to summon the hound of the underworld.

According to Lady Mal, only Hades can access the full powers of the Ember, since she-in Hades words-is only half Hades, the Ember cannot do everything for her that it does for him. So it is unknown of the full power of the Ember since Lord Hades does not seem to be willing to do tests for us researchers, but Lady Mal is perfectly willing to show off what she can do with the Ember, thankfully.

There are many things we do not know about Hades Ember, such as its origin(like how it possibly wasn’t created until Hades was arrested and sent to the isle in 1995) and why not even Zeus knew of the ember until recently.

It is a greatly mysterious item that could be akin to the trident of Poseidon or the lightning bolt of Zeus, though it is a wonder that it overwhelms the dragon's eye and the Fairy Godmother's wand.

nico probably thinks she has but the truth is that she has never once even hacked into nicos email. she straight up has a master key bc she needs one for her job and it just happens to open nicos office and also he never logs out of his email so as soon as you turn on his computer he email just opens up with it. nico thinks that lou is some sort of master tech wizard when the truth is that she just gets there an hour before him every day and hangs out in his office until he gets there. she probably has a tracker on his car or something so she knows when he's almost there
