Why? I gatta ask being a kid who having a foster parent could have saved me from decades of SEVERE ABUSE and neglect and hell and saved me from being horrifically crippled physically now hardly able to walk...and we both know you could save a foster kid's life now?

If "No one should have two houses until EVERYONE has one house" makes SENSE to you; then so should "no one should make 2 kids when one kid is already here & needs a great parent" ❤

The story of Medusa is a sad one. Yet a very familiar experience for me, and a lot of other women in the world. She was assaulted and blamed for the attack. And even worse, cursed for being a victim by another woman, Goddess Athena. She has been demonized throughout history when she is really the victim. It's sad to know that so many sexual assault survivors are living a similar reality. This painting was an emotional release for me. I channeled Medusa's anger, her hurt, and pain that comes with being a survivor. All that energy went into this piece. Each day is different and some harder than the next while healing. But I like to believe that in the end, all the hurt caused by my experience will help bring attention and awareness and an end to child sexual abuse for good. Survivors, you are not alone, you are seen, this ones for us ♡

Wouldn’t it be nice?

My inner child would think so.

Wouldn’t it be nice to actually have a mom my whole life? I’ve craved to know what that bond really is . Behind this facade, i’m just a young adult who wishes she would have had a real, compassionate, mentally stable, and supportive mother and father. But, unfortunately I never did. I won’t ever.

I don’t know what it’s like to be close to your parents, as I never was/ have been. Instead, I felt unsafe with them. I never have known what it’s like to have real, solid parental support as I never did.

I’m just pulling a front in my everyday life. A lot has changed and new insight has appeared in the past year.

I’m not insecure at all about my looks or my accomplishments. I feel great about them. I am insecure about my background dynamics. I hope to never be compared side to side by them and for people to think I am a reflection of them; I do everything in my life to not be.
