This post is long! Everything under the cut!

Overall Information

The two subclasses Beta and Netherant are remnants of the Enderians who escaped the End before the dragon came to power, with them evolving to fit their environment after centuries

eye contact is seen as a challenge to combat, but Endbornes are the only ones who become instantly enraged

the subclasses Netherant and Beta have been known to crossbreed, though this is not without chances for defects

Beta / Cavedweller

Shortest of the Enderian Subspecies, around 5'11, so they can traverse caves better

Lives mostly in caves, mostly in Lush biomes or close to the Deep Dark, in small communities.

thick fur on feet to muffle noises

excellent hearing

green and blue parts glow in the dark

Short blunt horns, mostly used for sparring or light mining

Trading between Beta and Netherants

Trading between the subclasses is common, and even encouraged! due to the Nether being full of potion ingredients, quartz, gold, and other things that are hard for Betas to get, and the Overworld having resources like vegetables, fruits, colorful dyes, and ores like diamonds and iron that are hard for Netherants to get.

Normally, in Netherant and Beta villages, there will be portals leading to the other side, where these villages will develop around trading goods back and forth, allowing for both sides to thrive, relationships to form, and holidays and traditions to be recognized and proformed.

Basically, a giant, enderman themed Farmer's Market

Clothing

Enderborne Enderians, due to becoming drones for The Ender Dragon, normally do not wear ornate clothing with patterns like their subspecies counterparts. This isn't seen as a issue, due to Enderians naturally not having any secondary sex characteristics, due to their way of reproduction not involving sexual activity

Netherant Enders normally wear clothing that is warm toned, with breathable fabric, with little layering, with patterns that are angular or boxy

Golden jewelry and leather bracelets and chokers and similar items are worn commonly.

Colors like brown, orange, red, and white, warm purples and shades between are the standard

Beta Enders have slightly more baggy and thick clothing, with colors more on the cooler side, ranging in blues and green and cooler purples are common. their patterns are swirly and wave-like

Iron jewelry is common, with dangly piercings and necklaces

Elytra?

Elytra are a common clothing/mobility aid among Enderians, which are craftable through rituals.

It's a very expensive ritual, and it's normally preformed by village elders, giving each Enderian a elytra when they come of age.

Elytra are seen as the most important garment a Enderian has, and they care for them almost religiously

Mending and Unbreaking III are commonly put on Elytra to make them highly durable

Body Painting

Body painting is common, normally done for formal events, parties and celebrations, but there are Enderians who paint their bodies casually as well, and this is accepted. There are sections of enderian bodies made on or off limits depending on the event, but as the formality of the event increases, so does the amount of patterning on the body.

Holidays

Lots of Player holidays have been adopted by Enderian cultures, especially as cultures mix and grow with time, but there is one Enderian holiday, basically the mother of all parties…

the Longest Night Festival!

This festival takes place on the Winter Solstice, which is the longest night of the year. Enderians will gather in their villages and around portals linking Beta and Netherant villages, where Enderians will host large parties full of food, drinking, dancing, and gift giving.

Enderians will wear ornate costumes (similar to masquerade balls), and bring out their finest paints and jewels.

Enderians will sell/trade moon themed gifts and foods, and tell stories passed down from generations ago about the moon, stars, and the Home Dimension…the End.

Expect tons of fireworks and bonfires!

It's said to be bad luck to wear anything sun-related on Longest Night. It's almost a insult!

Reproduction

Enderians have no real sexual organs, so their reproduction takes a odd turn…through their mouth!

Ender pearls, the core of a Enderian's teleporting, also acts as eggs. Once a month, similar as human ovulation cycles, Enderians will develop a second ender pearl, which they will regurgitate. Enderian mouths open that wide for that reason. (even though it does work as intimidation!)

Enderians will bring up the pearl, holding it in their jaws, before giving the baseball-sized pearl to their partner, who will pierce it with their hollow canine teeth, and fill it with their blood (not painful). This creates the two halves required to make a whole. The pearl will grow in size to accommodate the growing hatchling

Sadly, this means enderians with WPS are infertile when it comes to pearls…

There is a growing number of Enderians who will give their pearls up for donation (similar to sperm banks? Egg donors? Think that)

It's seen as lewd for a Enderian to drop their jaws fully in public

Endborne Genetics

Due to Endbornes being inherently hostile towards the other subspecies of Enderians, it is common for Endborne deaths from other Enderians

What's been happening as of late, Enderians from the two subspecies will draw blood from the dead Endborne and take the blood and inject it into a donor pearl, creating Endborne hybrids!

Disorders and Defects

Warped Pearl Syndrome (WPS) is a defect where the ender pearl develops incorrectly, normally causing a ender pearl to look warped or twisted

This disorder causes teleporting to be extremely difficult or unstable, normally causing what would be a stable, normal teleport to become erratic, making the affected Enderian warp in short, fast, uncontrollable spurts, which causes pearl pains, and short fainting spells due to the stress put on the enderian.

-Family History -Severe injury to the pearl early in life -Farlander Syndrome

Piebaldism / White Spotting

This is mostly a cosmetic defect that causes irregular white patches of skin on a enderian. This shows no internal harm or side effects, but it makes them easier to spot, and they are sometimes seen as more "exotic"

Early Hatchling / Premature Hatching

Sometimes, a enderian will hatch from their egg early, which can cause defects and irregular development. Normally it causes Enderians to develop slower in their early years, but they catch up as they grow. They are also normally shorter than normal

Farlander Syndrome

It's said that if one travels too far from home, they will encounter someplace called the Farlands, a land of warped terrain and strange creatures…

It was said to be false, but then Enderians came from these "Farlands" changed. Their normally dark coats turn white, and their eyes turn different colors and shades. In some cases, their pearls will warp and twist into unusablity. If they stay there too long, it seems their minds corrupt as well.

Mild cases of Farlander Syndrome will cause changes in eye color, and will cause post-birth piebaldism. There is no known cure

The very long post of Endermen anatomy in my mind

ok, first off there’s four main Endermen.

Northern (The end)

Middle/Earthen (Overworld/earth (this is where most subspecies would be))

Southern (Nether)

Farlanders (Farland endermen :D)

Stuff like height, eye color, snout shape, horns, teleportation distance, etc would be different depending on where the enderman is from and who the parents are. Albinism can also be a bit more common depending on which enderman it is.

When it comes to teleporting, I think each different endermen has a different distance they can teleport and the amount of times they can do it rapidly. All endermen have these three slits on each side of the neck called ‘vents’ and those open when they teleport or if they’re exhausted. It’s like a magic exhaust pipe and that’s where the little colorful particles come from. Particles usually follow around the individual and fade away if they don’t teleport for a while. Chorus fruit is a good source of energy for teleporting and if eaten just before teleporting, can give a little extra distance.

What else is a broad trait for them uhh

oh, eye color also goes with blood, flesh, guts, in the mouth and stuff (blush as well)

Northern Endermen

The end seems like it would be really cold. No weather or wind, just cold. So endermen have a lot of fur, thick fur and maybe different coat types (wavy, curly, coarse, soft etc).

First off, I think the end dragon and endermen would be like a beehive kinda system. So the dragon would be their leader. Every 500 years or so, the dragon flies off to a secluded area and lays eggs. Returns and then the endermen that are already there take care of the eggs til they hatch (it can take a few weeks all the way up to a decade). Eggs are translucent and the color of the egg is what their eye color will be. They’re a bit bigger than a watermelon.

Kits have floppy ears when born and some will have round horn nubs already growing. It’s not super rare, but still it’s uncommon for an albino enderman to hatch. (Ex: Indie :D)

Northern endermen have paws. Big paws, very soft :], but really sharp claws and rough, thick paw pads. Feet are two-toed with sharp claws. The snout shape is kinda boxy?

Northern enderman have broad, long tails for balance AND for fighting (whack em :P). Horns are like Indie’s horns, long and smooth and simple, but some can be born with one horn or have an extra set of horns. Some horns can grow and end up growing into each other. Ears can be like Indie’s, but can look like goat or cow ears. The vents on northern endermen aren’t usually visible due to their fur, but if one overworks themself and teleports too much, the particles that blow out can cause the fur to move and expose the vents. They can teleport a pretty good distance (around the same distance as Endermen in Minecraft) and can teleport repeatedly ten to fifteen times before it starts to tire or hurt them.

Eye color ranges from bluish purples all the way to purple-magenta and can be any shades between that. Pupils are like cat pupils.

Scarring starts out as the color of the blood but ends up fading to black like the rest of the skin. Albino endermen’s scars fade to pale or dark grey

Scars from water don’t fade. Ever. (Most that’ll happen is that the color will turn a bit pale, but it won’t fade to black like normal scars)

oh shit I should put this somewhere, they do have sharp teeth, but also incisors since the only source of food is chorus fruit in the end. So yeah, they could eat meat, there’s just nothing around for them to eat that’s alive (aside from endermites). So the sharp teeth would be mainly for fighting.

I like to think that endermites are considered a rare treat and that’s why endermen are so quick to murder the little bugs. It’s funny to me.

They’re pretty chill, a player could barter and trade with them as long as they don’t look em in the eyes.

Last thing, there are three different kinds of northern endermen.

Standard: Just an enderman. Like a worker bee in a way. These guys would be the ones you see just roaming around the End. Body type can vary greatly.

Guard: Larger, bulkier and a bit more aggressive. These guys would stand around the little portal that the end dragon egg sits on. There’s four there at any time (unless one is killed). They also have a higher chance to have four arms. Larger snouts and more canines than usual. Paws are larger as well. They can hold their ground really well and very rarely move from their spot guarding the end dragon egg. Eye color is on the warmer side of the spectrum.

Falcon: These guys would be in the end ships. I think they’d run the ships and guard the loot in the chests. A couple weeks after hatching, they’re given a pair of elytra that kinda just fuses to their back after a year or two (I haven’t figure out how yet, so the excuse is ✨magic✨) They’re thinner and lighter so they can go faster and also have four arms more often. Excellent fighting skills and good accuracy when trying to hit a target. Paws are more like a hand-paw fusion than just paws so they can handle weapons with more grace. Eye color is on the cooler side of the spectrum and albinos’ can end up having pale lavender to teal eyes.

The eldest endermen are often the ones in charge of the rest. Some aren’t the best though and don’t really take into consideration what the entire population wants or needs and will even ignore any they don’t like (Ex. Indie). They show blatant favoritism towards individuals in groups they’re in charge of and often end up leaving the members within the groups to help and teach the ones that aren’t as liked.

Earth Endermen

Alright, these guys vary a lot because of the biomes they live in and the climate. So one that lives in a tundra would look a lot different from one that lives in a mesa biome or the desert. Fur patterns aren’t uncommon either. All endermen in the overworld have fur though, it’ll just be different lengths and types depending on what area they live in. Kits all have floppy ears that may or may not stiffen up as they get older (depends on parents’ genes). Horns, teeth arrangement, eye color, snout shape, ears and tail type all vary depending on the biome and general climate, but there are a few things that stay the same.

At least two horns

Blood, guts, inner mouth, vents and eyes are all the same color (heterochromia is addressed further down)

Canines no matter what (at least four, two on top row two on bottom row)

Three vents on each side of the neck

Paw pads

Fur

Some endermen that live near water or an environment with rainy weather have a higher resistance to water and can even stay in water for a certain amount of time (can’t injest it though, that’s a death sentence).

There’s also a whole other subspecies that’s semi aquatic. They have a very high tolerance to water, but will still die if they stay in it too long. Diet consists of fish and shellfish. Body expels any water accidentally swallowed through the vents.

Southern Endermen

My favorite of them all, southern endermen live in the nether! They can either have really really short fur (almost like peach fuzz but not quite) or scales. Sometimes one is born with neither, leaving them with just skin, it leaves them vulnerable though, like a scaleless snake. And sometimes, when scales shed, they have a chance to grow back gold, it’s like a freckle or a beauty mark :). Southern endermen are more reptilian than the rest. Their snout shape is more like a snake’s (wide and kinda flat) and the vents on their neck are almost always visible. Teeth are mostly made up of canines and they’re black!

Necks are longer so they can snap at stuff and have a further reach. Paws are more like a hand-paw fusion and have long claws on the ends. Horns aren’t super long but they are sharp and there’s usually more than two, often growing in rows. Ears are shorter and pointed. Some can have more animal like ears though. Eye color ranges from magenta to reds of any shades (the exception being endermen that live in the warped forest, they have turquoise eyes), often having little flecks of gold in the eyes. Pupils have tapetum lucidum (the shiny over it when light shines over the eyes). They also have fire/heat resistance to an extent. So if one were to touch lava by accident, it wouldn’t hurt as long as they take their hand out within the next few seconds.

Hands and feet are larger and wider, which helps when walking across soul sand valleys. Tails can have spines along the top (like a croc or gator) that travel up the spine as well. The underbelly has the softest scales.

Also teleportation distance is pretty short, maybe a meter or two, but they can repeatedly teleport a lot more times than the other endermen species (thirty times or more). Afterwards they get really tired though, kinda loopy and giggly as well if they push themselves for too long.

Kits with scales are very vulnerable for the first two to three years of their life while their scales harden. They’re also very bony and lanky lookin, like a calf or foal. Walk funny, look funny, act funny (love my lanky little babies, I need to draw them). Ears are floppy as always.

(Most) Southern endermen live in packs. Could be as small as five or as large as twenty, sometimes they travel alone, but often don’t last long. Pack mates are super close, they roughhouse and spar and annoy older pack members (harmlessly tho). Younger members often go out to hunt and forage for mushrooms and nether wart and other plants and stuff. There’s always one older enderman that is established as the one in charge of the younger ones. They end up teaching kits how to fight and hunt and other neat tricks they’ve learned. And then the rest of the older pack members work as the parents and healers. Some might also dabble in potion-making if they can get their hands on the right materials.

They don’t like piglins. Like, at all. Go out of their way to inconvenience any piglins near their territory. They don’t like players that much either, but kinda in the way a goose doesn’t like people. They’ll keep their distance and only attack if the player keeps pestering them in some way.

Farlanders

Very tall, like really really tall, almost twenty feet but they can definitely get taller. The entire population is white and they have fur of varying lengths.

There’s not a lot known about farland endermen, but they are known for being able to teleport miles at a time. They’re often very lanky and stare off into the distance, which gives them an unsettling feeling. Horns can become very intricate and complex, but some either have normal horns or don’t grow any at all. Eye color can range from bright green to teal and cyan. Snout shape is a bit more beak like, not as broad and boxy. And the teeth are mostly canines. Vents are always visible and so many particles blow out after a single teleportation that it almost creates a colored fog around the individual that teleported. Ear shape is more of an animal’s ear, like a cow, goat, deer and sometimes rabbit ears. Paws are very soft and they don’t have paw pads. Feet are also like a northern enderman’s feet, two-toed and clawed. Tail is often really long and thin.

They’re not the best fighters, since they’d rather teleport away than fight, but it’s already hard enough to fight them due to their large size. And they travel alone, sometimes bumping into another endermen, talking for a minute or two before going back to whatever they were doing previously. When it comes to meeting other things (like people), they get really awkward and might just teleport away mid-conversation.

Kits are around three feet tall when they first hatch, floppy eared with a lot of fur to stay warm.

alright, that’s all I have for each enderman species (species?) there are a few other things that I didn’t know where to put so it’s going at the end

If an enderman has heterochromia, two things might happen. The two colors that the eyes are will blend and that’s what the color of blood and guts and other stuff will be. Or the insides will just be one of the eye colors.

If a flask of dragon’s breath is consumed by an enderman, it acts as a plasma blast (like toothless). The blast can be stored until the enderman wants to use it and if they consume multiple bottles it stacks up. Plasma color is the same as eye color.

All northern endermen born from the same dragon are related, but there are other super-far-away islands that have a different dragon with different endermen.

Hybrid endermen exist

When an enderman dies, their body fades and what’s left is an enderpearl (so if the body doesn’t fade, they aren’t dead)

for shits and giggles, all endermen have that same thing cats have, where if you pinch the back of their neck, they get really calm and immobile (this works well with southern endermen if you catch them off guard)

ITS ACTUALLY FUNNY CAUSE IMAGINE YOU BEING CHARLIE IN THIS SITUATION-

You hear a knock at the front door of the hazbin hotel and open it to see a 9’5 TALL ASS PERSON WITH DARK PURPLE SKIN WITH SMALL PURPLE FRECKLES SCATTERED AROUND THEIR BODY….

Immediately door slam like Alastor got in the pilot….

She kept reopening the door as you finally got tired of that bullshit and teleported inside as you croaked…your jaw unhinging in a weird attractive way as your eyes were blinded by a black blindfold.

“Uhm sir? Are you here for the hotel?” Charlie asked as you nodded turning slowly with a croak. You pulled out a wrench ready to show how you wanted to work for her. Charlie smiled awkwardly as she shows you around the place. Literally you had to duck a lot to the point you had to crawl like a baby just to fit in the room…

Embarrassing it is…..

But at least you can kinda shapeshift a bit to 3 feet less as you are at 6’5 which made the others feel a lot more comfortable about you being comfortable in this height as you still kinda crouch to pet keekee.

I feel like Lucifer will like you personally because of how you like to build and take things apart to renew things. So he definitely brings you in his workshop as he rants about his duck collection as you slightly grumble unconsciously as purple pixels fly around beside you.

Dead ass…you are beautiful with your purple ender eyes they glow behind your blindfold in the dark…the hotel cast and even say as they would see them from afar at night.

I headcannon Enderman! Reader to have slight muscles but is really strong despite their skinny look. But really they/he has a nice build under his working clothes.

Vaggie was shocked to see you teleport away before she could prick you with her angelic spear. She definitely had Alastor keep a look on you…but you only built and fixed around the hotel like a handy man.

I can see Angel dust taking a picture of you while you are behind him working having your sleeves up as you work as the Snapchat caption says, “He’s working hard to please me” as a joke. You definitely got death threats as you just stare at your hellphone confused as you block them all.

Sir Pentious has accidentally looked you in your eyes once and your unhinged jaw as you screeched at him as a static sound enters his head …it made him scared of you for almost five months until you explained and calms him down….you didn’t like to be scary to others.

Angel had told you how about how you could be a model with your skinny yet built body as you just stood then staring at him through your blindfold.

It would be funny be at a height comparison with Alastor as he just smiles as you stand there fidgeting with your hands.

I can see husk raising a brow at you like “🤨 who the hell is this guy?” As you walk a bit sluggish holding your tool box

I can also imagine reader having slight difficulty at reading the room or having social skills as they were isolated from people before dying definitely. Like you would croak softly patting Vaggie when her secret was out only for her to push you away as you were trying to say you fixed the toilet.

You stood there confused until husk just sat you down before you teleported after her.

You attacked a sinner for trying to rob you as they grabbed your blindfold in accident only to get attacked and a see an unhinged jaw…next thing they saw was a punch.

Charlie definitely cleaned you up, she was just confused who blood it was as you stay quiet and quietly croaked in your throat.

I headcannon enderman’s to have a raspy voice because they can’t talk but try to. As it’s either deep or a decent voice tone.

Imagine if enderman! Reader met the other overlords before their decrease in height as they stare up at you kinda intimidated by your height. Their necks definitely hurt

In my head-canon for Minecraft's "history", these two are (technically) the same species.

It all stems from my perception of the Ancient Builders. Its mostly inspired by the comics of the amazing DongLie (check them out their work is amazing), with some changes to fit with how I see the elements the game lays out.

For one, I believe the Ancient Builders' ultimate goal was eternal life. Their hubris is why they're "extinct". And two, there were 4 Mistakes that lead to their downfall.

I'm gonna go over these 4 Mistakes some day, but the second and fourth one is what I'm going to go into in some detail.

So what does any of this have to do with the Wither Skeletons and Endermen?

Well, first I must describe the second mistake. And to rationalise why it happened, I must also touch on the first mistake; the creation of Creepers. I believe the Ancient Builders created Creepers in their desert temples as their first foray into eternal life. This attempt fundamentaly changed the Overworld, cursing it to produce these creatures every night. I believe Zombies, Skeletons and Spiders have always existed in the Overworld, and the Ancient Builders had adapted to them the same way we have. But the Creepers rocked their society. Some of them went deep underground (leading to the third Mistake), and some of them went "deep" I.e: to the Nether.

This is where the second mistake occurs. They found the Piglins, whose corpses became reanimated upon their death. Not anything crazy, the same thing happens to Ancient Builders in the Overworld, if not for the fact that Zombified Piglins have actual awareness. Immortality through zombification became an option and the Builders deduced it was true to the Nethers sand trapping souls from across dimensions.

So they buried their dead in the large valleys of this sand, and they became reanimated. It was exactly what they wanted, they were aware and immortal.

Unfortunately a complication ensued; Piglins had adapted to soul sand, but the Builders hadn't. Those who had been buried rapidly found their flesh withering away, and their actions becoming more and more aggressive. These withered skeletons became the guards of the Fortresses the Builders constructed to protect themselves from the Nether's dangers. They became nothing more than thugs.

So the Builders continued their work. They theorised that the combined biomass of multiple corpses could overcome the withering problem.

They were right. And they were so, so wrong.

They had awakened one of the primordial forces of the universe, the force of chaos and destructions. The trapped souls had been screaming out to them all along. The withered skeletons were a warning that was impossible to ignore, yet they did.

The Wither had descended upon the Ancient Builders, wanting nothing more then to spread its infection.

The Builders tried to escape, abandoning their portals into the Nether. But they were too slow, the Wither had followed them to the Overworld.

This lead to the third mistake, but I'm not going to talk about that now.

The fourth and final mistake came after the Overworld was no longer safe for the Builders. The Wither was gone, destroyed in the third mistake, but it's rot still corrupted the land. To go to the surface was suicide, to go deep underground was suicide. So the Builders clung to just below the surface. They used their magic to invert stone and tore out their eyes to construct a portal to somewhere out of the Overworld.

They took a leap of faith, and it didn't pay off. They had found a dimension in the Void between dimensions, the End of all reality. Nothing but blank islands for all eternity. But there was something... else.

Another primordial force that threatened everything. Native to this place or trapped their, they did not know. But they had opened the door out and had to close it. So they purposefully disabled the way out, created a dragon to guard it should anyone try to leave. Every island for miles around the exit point was annihilated, as to separate it.

It was the ultimate sacrifice and the final mistake; sealing themselves into the End.

Over time they evolved; their skin became darker, blending into the eternal night; their eyes became larger to see in the darkness; they became taller, their limbs becoming longer to pluck the high snaking chorus fruits - the only food in this place. We've all eaten chorus, we all know how it teleports anything that consumes it. Eating just that fruit caused them to eventually teleport regardless.

And finally, these End-men had become immortal. But there was no victory, their minds had long been lost. Even when they eventually gained the ability to teleport across dimensions they held no memories of these places. They can only grab blocks to move as they did long ago, but none of them know why.

When they see us they feel pain, they look us in the eyes and remember humanity. This makes them sad, which makes them angry. They cannot understand their unexplained grief so they act only in fear and self-preservation.

These 2 creatures, the Wither's skeletons and the men of the End are brothers. Yet they do not know it. For both have long since lost their mind and history; one in pure aggression and obsession, and the other in hubris and insanity.

A singular Enderman will refer to themselves as ‘we’, as well as when referring to another Enderman. Due to their psychic abilities Endermen are linked to one another in the end through a web of thoughts and images which the Endermen refer to as the Chorus. The Ancient Humans, in the later stages of their civilisation predescessing their catastrophic downfall, saw Endermen as a threat due to their extremely advanced intelligence and unique capabilities, and so, they constructed a biomechanical tyrant, The Dragon, which constantly sent off huge disruptions into The Chorus which agitated and weakened Endermen, and garbled and warped their only true way of communication. Endermen are basically a hive mind, but an individual Enderman, over time if separated from The End’s Chorus, can develop individual needs and desires. This is seen in Overmen, which are Endermen who live in the Overworld. They spend unnatural amounts of time in solitude and silence separated from the Chorus and so their rapidly changing mind breaks off from their hive. They still follow their collective use of a single pronoun for their species and are still affected by any major changes in the Chorus, however.

Due to Endermen viewing their entire species as essentially a singular mind, they, when within their home dimension, do not understand the concept of self, friendship with other entities nor comprehend other organisms as having minds, personalities or sentience. This may make them seem malevolent, irrational or dangerous - and while they should be respected and are certainly unpredictable, they seldom mean harm. Overmen, however, having separately adapted from the linked consciousness, may unknowingly discover friendship (or enemyship) with other sentient beings such as Villagers. Their presence is heavily stigmatized however - Many villagers see them as a sign of bad luck, a symbol of impending death to the family akin to a Banshee or a black cat.

They are labeled as ghosts, demons or monsters and regarded with as much fear and apprehension as the undead or various dangerous predators such as spiders and phantoms. Illagers (not abiding by villager superstition and folklore) regard Endermen as feral animals. Some evokers show interest in the study of teleportation and conduct experiments on Endermen. Wandering traders are different, however. They have a seperate set of unspoken social ‘rules’ which regard Overmen with more respect. There is the understandable warning to avert eye contact, but it is also out of respect as it is of caution. Endermen are to be treated as a benevolent force which comes and goes as they please - they will not stay and they will not leave by demand of someone. The wandering traders acknowledge either way, however, that Endermen (of any kind, Overmen, End-native or Belowmen (nether)) are otherworldly beings and do not follow the terms, rules and values that villagers - and other Overworld beings - do.

Regarding Belowmen (Nether Endermen), Piglin see them as silent, harmless yet eerie ghosts. They are a sign to stay away from an area - like a living ‘caution’ sign (this stems from the dangerous properties of warped fungus) yet they are not seen as destructive or dangerous themselves.

Endermen have very faint markings on their face that differentiate them. These differences are more prominent on Overmen due to water scars. Endermen do not have names for themselves, but if they befriend a villager, player, piglin, etc, they will accept any name given to them.

thing you may notice I did: all end-species are invertebrates. The exception to all that is the ender dragon, which actually originated from the Overworld (it is reptilian and a vertebrate) however it has evolved over time to become the apex predator of The End!

May do this again soon with pillagers + woodland mansions!

Concept: “Baby” Endermen are ‘born’ from an Enderman’s favorite block. One that is carried so often and loved so deeply that it begins to warp. End Magic being imbued and creating a new Pearl nestled in the block’s heartcore.

The block deepens, becoming the Head and sprouting little gangly limbs and eyes. Thus creating a new Enderman.

Winged Enderman

Circling around End Cities and flying around the smallest islands of the Outer End, these Endermen have channeled the draconic energy of the Ender Dragon and have, as a result, grown wings.

Standing at 9'3" - 9'9", these Endermen have a wingspan of at least 30 feet! Their draconic or birdlike talons allow for easy gripping of Chorus stems and branches for perching, and their tail allows for steering as they fly. Think of Night Furies basically.

However, they have one glaring weakness. Much like birds, these Endermen cannot see glass. No need to panic when raiding End Cities! Just kite them until you can get them to deal enough kinetic energy to themselves on the window panes!

Upon death, these Endermen drop no pearls, as their bodies have essentially traded teleportation for flight. Instead, they will drop Enderman Membranes, a much stronger repair option for your Elytra if you don't have access to a mending enchantment. Gathring six membrane together with an Eye of Ender can craft an Elytra as well, but don't go thinking you can access flight before beating the dragon, as these guys only spawn in the End.

ENDERIANS REDUX'D: OVERWORLDERS

Seen as a industrious, humble race, OVerworlders are the "dwarves" of the enderian species

They live in caves in the overworld, spending their days mining and harvesting rare jewels.

They've grown thick foot fur in order to sneak around the darker places, their eyes scope out the Shiniest things, the diamond shapes of their eyes showing it

Their horns are short and sturdy, keeping the double horns of the old race to help them with mining

Their short stature hides their muscle

They rely on their physical strength, making their magic weak

Traits: Stubby, sturdy double horns Short ears Super fluffy to pad sounds Oblong eyes for cave darkness Traded feet reptile skin for fur

No spikes, just fluffy fur on their backs

Shortest of the enderians, tallest at 5'10

Enderians REDUX'D: NETHERANT

The mage counterpart of the enderian race, netherants are known for their potionmaking and magical skills

They live in the depths of the Nether, controlling and protecting trade routes.

They rely on their elytra for travel, making them more "draconian" than overworlders. It is a common (and offensive) misconception that netherants are "Dragonspawn"

They developed stabling fins on their tails, and talons on their feet for gripping ledges.

Netherants are adventurers, mages, alchemists and scientists, hoping to advance their whole species.

Traits: Thick, mid length single horns

Round eyes, adjusted to lava and glow stone lights

Short, thin fur

Long sections of reptile-like skin on hands and feet

Due to elytra reliance in the nether's jagged terrain, they traded their fur and number of spikes for stabilizing fins for elytra flight

Tail is super prehensile

Developed a talon on their feet for steady landing

Mid length ears

Mid height, tallest at 6'3"

Enderians REDUX'D: Endbornes

The common, still living ancestor of the Enderian subspecies, the Endbornes truly is a loss for the species as a whole

After the ender dragon came to power in the end, all enderians trapped in the end became her loyal drones, only existing to protect her and make more of themselves.

They were known to posses powerful magic, and were astronomers before all of this happened

If only they could be freed from her hold…

Traits:

Long, slitted eyes adjusted to the end's darkness.

Mid length fur, bushy tail fur, and 5 spikes along the back and tail

Floppy ears

Tallest, capping out at 7'2"

But due to work by the brightest minds in the enderian race, a solution could be on the horizon to reintroduce Endborne blood into their ranks, free of dragon control…

ENDERIANS REDUX'D: "PROJECT END,NETHER,OVERWORLD"

Due to the way enderians reproduce (see 'enderian headcanons 1'), opportunities for genetic manipulation have been tested, with much success

Either grown in vats, or with Willing donor pearls, Endborne blood has begun to be reintroduced by the greatest enderian scientists

The first successful hybrid was of a netherant scientist's Pearl, a mix of Endborne and overworlder blood for stabilization.

They named the first hybrid…En0

En0 had these traits when they were born

Overlander: fluffy hands, body colors

Netherant: horn shapes, pattern type (stripes), tail fins, love of flight, secondary and eye colors, and feet talons

Addendum: En0 contracted a very mild case of farlander syndrome as a teen, afflicting them with warped pearl syndrome and white spotting...

Yay!! Here's my nonhuman headcanons for everyone I watch!

Mumbo is an android! He's completely human-passing, he tends to do things the 'human way' (building things instead of modifying himself), and he has never ever mentioned that he's a robot, so everyone thinks that he's a really weird human. He does not know of human concepts like 'fear of death'. Nobody understands why he never got redstone poisoning despite his complete lack of PPE. It's just because he's not organic

Grian is a parrot avian ofc but he also gained cod-like traits when he started spending more time near the ocean. It happens

Gem was human at the start of the season, but she's an anglerfish hybrid now! Same reason as Grian

Doc being a creeper goat cyborg thing is canon so I'll share a little hc on his cybernetic enhancements. He can detect redstone signals! It allows him to locate problems with his machines without having to look around, saves a lot of time. A side effect of this is that he knows that Mumbo is an android because he can detect his redstone!

Etho is a phantom hybrid! He needs very little sleep and he still manages to be sleep deprived. He doesn't use fire res potions to protect himself from the sun, instead he wears his clothes over his wings. He says that it works perfectly, so why would he change it?

Tango. blaze. we all know this one. He doesn't take any special precautions around water. In fact, he forgets that water is a thing until it starts raining and then he screams really loud about it

Pearl is a shapeshifting salmon! She enjoys her human form, but she will correct anyone who calls her a human because she's actually a fish

Joel is a moth hybrid. Yes, he does like lights. Just look at his base!

Well Cub being a vex isn't exactly a headcanon is it. Specifically I hc that he used to be human and became a vex later on, while Scar was born a vex! (the cannibalism is unrelated to this. there's just something wrong with him)

Ender man variants (overworld and nether)

Here is the first batch of enderman variants! Ill be giving average block heights and all that ^^

Here is your standard enderman, found in the overworld. About 3-4 blocks tall. They can teleport and are harmed by water

The cave ender, an underground variant of the common ender. 6 blocks tall. Due to exposure to skulk, these enders are blind but have exceptional hearing and smell. Unable to teleport but can teleport other things to them, aka what they hear closest to them. They are not hurt by small amounts of water. Usually docile

The first of the nether variants, The Magma or basalt ender. 4 to 5 blocks tall. Closely resembling ghasts things enders enjoy the hot lava baths of the basalt delta. Unable to teleport but completely immune to fire. They can shoot smaller versions of a ghasts fireballs and are harmed by water.

Crimson enderman are the largest enderman variant at around 7.5 to 8 blocks tall. These enders are very territorial and are often in disputes with piglins. They are bulkier and stronger then the average ender and can breathe fire. They are immune to all fire damage. They also have a chitinous armor on their body, evolving from being shot at by piglins. They often steal from bastions and are seen wearing makeshift golden armor or using gold swords.

 the last of the first batch, warped enders are the most elusive ender type and are usually drawn out with shiny objects. They are about 6 blocks tall and have a peculiar symbiotic relationship with the warped fungi around them. They are able to mimic any sounds they are familiar with, and often use it to hunt. they are incredibly friendly and like piglins, they trade!
