Why aren't there riots in Scotland when there have been riots all over England?

My answer: A lot of it is that up here we don't trust the BBC and haven't done for a long time because we see how they misrepresent us. So when the BBC spent the last 10+ years platforming Nigel Farage and quoting his bullshit about migrants and small boats, we were immediately skeptical.

Also, the English treat the Scots as foreigners much of the time, so when it's England vs foreigners, we know which side we're on.

I've seen little about it so, Just an FYI what's been unfolding in England today. Far-right protestors are literally trying to kill asylum seekers in hotels.

In Rotherham, Yorkshire fascists have tried to set a hotel on fire with migrants staying there. Some signalling cut-throat gestures at the people staying in the rooms.

In Tamworth, Staffordshire the very same thing is happening. Another hotel has been set on fire with asylum seekers still inside alongside racist graffiti.

Other similar protests that are going uncountered are happening in Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Stoke-on-Trent and many more areas, chances are there will be one somewhere by you if things keep going the way they are. Nazis are literally strolling about unchallenged and these people are marching happily with them. There are more sensitive videos online which I won't share here but there are groups of nazis chasing down and circling black people in cities and beating them up, indian and chinese takeaways being targetted, turkish barbers being set alight and there have been incidents of muslims being assaulted and even stabbed.

BUT... There are success stories from UK cities where riots have failed due to no turnout or due to antifascists driving far-right pricks out of the city.

Cardiff, Wales - About 5 fascists turn up compared to 500 conuter-protestors. They failed to get anyone here despite trying two times.

Liverpool, Merseyside - A significant EDL mob is marched out of the city and fought against. Counter-protestors form a ring around a mosque being targetted.

Bristol, City of - antifascists block the entrance to a hotel that nazis are trying to get into as well as a fierce citywide push against the EDL and racism.

Nottingham, East Midlands - A huge antifascist counter protest outnumbers EDL and the far-right, preventing a riot from occuring.

There are many many more of these riots planned. If you're in the UK get organised and be prepared to fight alongside the people who make our communities stong and resiliant and make our country and cities a wonderful vibrant and friendly place to be. Help by whatever means you can. If you are not from the UK then please signal boost this because this needs to stop this nastiness from spreading and to make nazis afraid again.

In England, if you riot and destroy property and harm people, the police have no problem - BUT - if you post videos about the riots in England, they will arrest you.

Cleveland, Thornaby. Likely to be at the mosque in Westbury Street at ~5pm

Durham. Both in the city centre and apparently at the Bishop Auckland Town Hall.

Leicestershire, Coalville. Potentially starting at the clock tower.

Manchester. Potentially the police station in Salford.

Peterborough. Some talk about gathering outside the prison.

Rochdale. Outside the Broadfield Hotel on Sparrow Hill.

Scunthorpe. Reports of it starting at Scunthorpe Museum on Oswald Street moving off to Frodingham Road. Late to posting this as reports said it would start at 12.

Sheffield. The Holiday Inn is a suspected target. I believe it's off of Victoria Station Road.

Stoke-on-Trent. Potentially at the Best Western Hotel on Audley Road.

Also in Northern Ireland, there's expected to be one at Chimney Corner in Belfast, and in Newton Abbey.

Just A Thought

Just a thought 

I, like so many, was deeply saddened by the murder of three children in Southport. I can’t even begin to imagine what those children's families are going through right know. My thoughts and prayers are with them. No parent should ever have to bury their children. This isn't an everyday event in England despite what people may read online. But when i see this horrific events being used to instigated and  justify hatred and racism and islamophobia i get  

as angry as I was at the senseless murder of innocent children. The violence that has been seen over the country has NOTHING to do with the tragedy of Southport. It has been instigated and created by vile racism and hatred towards Muslims and immigrants by the likes of Kate Hopkins, Tommy Robinson, Nigel Farage. But why these are the obvious examples isn't just these people who are to blame. Do I believe that those who have concerns about immigration are all racist? No I don't and I do believe that the British people have a right to express their concerns. However this concern has been hijacked and used by those who are racist. 

Week in week out for a long time the likes of GB news and the daily mail  and members of the Tory party have deliberately published misinformation and racism. They have  engaged in harmful stereotypes and propaganda Seeking to stir up hatred and division in our communities. As have social media platforms like X who not only allow the likes of Robinson and Hopkins to continually promote hatred but have deliberately and knowingly aloud hate, racism and misinformation to spread on its platform. I hold these people just as responsible as any of the rioters. The uncomfortable truth is this country has a massive problem with racism and it’s time to send a very clear and powerful message to those who spread racism and hatred. It is time to give tough prison sentences to those found guilty of stirring racial hatred and or engaging in racist speech or behaviours . It’s time to force the social media companies to take responsibility for allowing racist content on their platforms with mandatory penalties if they are found to be deliberately misleading or promoting content that is racist and is instigating hate. It is time to look at the financial backing of those public figures spreading this vile rhetoric. There is hope at the end of what seems like the darkest time this country has seen for awhile. The anti racist protest shows that despite the attempt of many a large part of the country is refusing to accept the hatred that England is seeing. We must stand united in our message that racism and violence will not be tolerated on the streets of this country.
