Ok so hear me out (prepare to share)
One of the things I love right now is how writers can all see the same idea and come up with wildly different ideas of how to pull it off. Well really programers. Chefs. Artists. Anyone really.
And they can all work.
Like my story has been bopping around in my head after seeing some post debating what races had the best whatever recipes. And I'm like...
I wanna make a cook book like that.
But I didn't. Because life and I was working on a comic and all. But then this contest on tapas comes around and I'm like.
Yes.
Let's do this.
ACTION TIME.
But that wasn't enough. Because I saw some of the races and I like "but why tho". I mean we all know there are some racist ideas behind various races. And honestly, some races are like... been there done that. So my brain starts finding new twists on them.
The elves are the wine makers, have glamor because they look like eldritch horrors, and are basically dnd bards. "Dark elves" are basically the holiest warriors. Orcs? Blue and red which got mistaken for blood early on. They leaned into it for interactions but they really like to farm and raise sheep like critters. The centaurs are half goat not half horse and their cities are a PAIN to get into because they don't need roads, they have walls they can hop up.
And all of this still gets me adding in recipes people can cook. More or less based on what's happening. While the MC Enoki runs around on hir own tasting food and trying to save the world. Because oh yeah, the gods need a feast or they start blowing up the various races!
So, if you like, reblog and share some fun twists you took on in your work or creative project or whatever. Maybe share the link and some pics. And give a description too.
"Enoki was a assistant manager by day and recipe foodie vlogger by night. Going out and finding recipies from around the world and how they changed over time. Too bad a goat killed hir. Now a bunch of gods have given an ultimatum. Create a blessed and cursed feast in one year, or watch as the races of this new world are wiped out. Then ze is dropped into the world with no directions, no explanations of how to use hir shapeshifter or magic items, and a whole lot of people that aren't too sure about Enoki's plan. With an arsenal of jokes and a desire to taste everything once, can Enoki make the feast? Or will it be a cooking fail?"
#comedy#reincarnation#tapas creator#action fantasy#writing#cooking#nonbinary#writeblr#isekai#tag game#let's just have some fun#I want to know what twists you put into your art#it doesn't have to be just stories#maybe recipes or paintings or programs or whatever#share what you did to make something your own

Introducing my new Hi-Fi RUSH OC, Enoki! A test subject of Project Armstrong's pre-production that didn't come out all that perfect, but managed to slip under Vandelay's QA Radar!
He's part of a group of OCs made with a couple friends that I plan to make art of as well. 💕

If you don't mind another ask from me, how about ☼♥■ for Mario?
☼ - appearance headcanon
He’s going prematurely gray. It’s harder to tell on his head because his hair is so thick and curly, but he’s got a handful of silver strands in his mustache that are easier to pick out.
♥ - family headcanon
His and Luigi’s father, Marcello Marionetti, died in a workplace accident when they were still babies, so they were raised by their mother, a stern but loving woman by the name of Emilia Marionetti (or Mama Mario, as they call her). Emilia passed from lung cancer when her boys were in trade school. The bros were always inseparable, but in their grief following their mother’s passing, they became codependent to an admittedly unhealthy degree for a few years. They were already in a better place psychologically by the time they got whisked away to the Eight Realms, but they both still suffer separation anxiety if they’re apart for too long or under stressful circumstances.
At Peach’s suggestion, two of her and Mario’s three children are named in honor of their paternal grandparents: eldest Cocoa Emilia and only boy Affogato Marcello. (Affie’s twin sister Biscotti’s middle name comes from her maternal grandmother, the late Queen Enoki.)
■ - Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon
What’s the opposite of claustrophobia? That’s what Mario’s got. He grew up sharing a room with Luigi in a tiny one and a half-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. Having too much space to himself feels oppressive. If he has to stay in a room by himself for extended periods of time, he’ll promptly clutter said room up with all sorts of woodworking projects and knick-knacks and anything else that makes it feel more lived-in. When he first started sleeping in Peach’s room with her, he made a point to avoid actually entering the bedroom without her because it was so large and ornate and well-maintained, and even knowing how she used the space and everything within it, it felt far too empty until she was there. Their room still meets royal levels of tidiness and orderliness, but there’s significantly more trinkets and treasures and picture frames scattered throughout than there were when it was just Peach’s room.

Another article has come out again. Putting it here with a very rough translation (thank you translation app!) . So apologies in advance (vertigo is still killing me but there are bouts of lucidity especially when encountering articles like this). The photos are also gorgeous. Azakami’s reminds me of Thai actor Bible Wichapas Sumettikul.
My takeaways from this interview:
Toto’s line during the onsen murder arc, “Did you wash your hands?” was an ad-lib from Enojun, who is fond of adding lines.
Taku Yashiro loves to mess around.
Azakami and Enojun’s friendship gets deeper as they hang out more with trips to saunas even. I encourage you to read it.
Here goes the second part of the interview.
~~
Feeling the change in the friends’ dynamic in the "Isolated Island Observatory Murder Case"

—For 'Kamonohashi Ron's Forbidden Deductions', there have been many events and projects related to the work so far.
Junya Enoki as Toto Isshiki (hereafter, Enoki): We did a lot of different activities.
Yohei Azakami as Ron Kamonohashi (hereafter, Azakami): Like reverse pranks (laughs). There were also video projects like the "Are They Really Doing It? Not Doing It!? Reasoning Challenge" where we guessed if the cast was actually doing something.
Enoki: Yes, yes! It's rare to have a work with such a variety.
Azakami: We thought we would approach it with a cool and dark vibe, but surprisingly, there were many physical challenges. At first, we even drank a whole bottle of black sugar syrup (laughs).
Enoki: Wasn't the black sugar syrup surprisingly not that bad?
Azakami: Just a little bit. I drank it all, so I'm having terrible heartburn... (laughs).
-- (Laughs). Did working on this project deepen your friendship with each other?
Azakami: Yes, that's right. We were already good friends, but being able to co-star in this project allowed us to go out for drinks and visit saunas together.
Enoki: Yes, I feel like our bond deepened through this project.
Azakami: We've also talked about wanting to go out for drinks again with (Taku, Spitz Feier) Yashiro and (Yoko, Amamiya) Hikasa.
-- The four of you are familiar faces at events, aren't you?
Azakami: Yes, that's right. But the characters we play are like companions solving mysteries together, so we often record as a group of four, which naturally brings us closer together.

- Could you reflect on the 1st Season and share any memorable episodes?
Azakami: I would say the "Yadagami Murder Case." It was surprising not only because Shepherd (Spitz's brother) appeared, but also because the mastermind turned out to be the old man. On set, there was a lot of talk about the old man's physical strength. He even killed someone younger than himself with a sacred rope (laughs).
- When you think about it, he's quite an incredible old man (laughs).
Azakami: From the second part of the final episode, it developed into a confrontation with the M Family, so that aspect also left a strong impression.
Enoki: For me, it was the "Isolated Island Observatory Murder Case." It was the first three-part episode, right?
Azakami: Yes, it was.
Enoki: I was surprised when BLUE's instructor John Grizzly was suddenly killed, and with Ron's secrets being revealed, it felt like a significant progression in the story.
- The "Bloody Training Incident" was also discussed here, wasn't it?
Enoki: Yes, it was. In the end, the perpetrator escaped but was killed, which was a shocking incident.
Azakami: It was an episode where Toto played a major role. Ron might have been captured if not for that.
-- It seems that the relationship between the two of you deepened from around this point.
Azakami: I think they became quite equal as partners.
Enoki: Yes, yes. Even in the lines towards the end, right?
Azakami: "I trust you," right?
-- Through the story, did you feel any growth or change in your own character?
Azakami: Since Ron can't openly conduct investigations, he relies on Toto, which creates a certain mutual benefit between them. However, triggered by the "Solitary Island Observatory Murder Case," they began to trust each other. And with the emergence of the M family, I think their bond deepened even further.
Enoki: I feel like I've become more honest about my feelings. This includes feelings of gratitude, and there are more actions that convey the trust I have.
Azakami: Indeed.
Enoki: I think that aspect will be felt in the 2nd Season as well.
-- In the Shinkansen scene of episode 11, it was clearly acknowledged, wasn't it?
Azakami: Yes, it was clearly conveyed there. Initially, he was just being a handful, but by the 2nd Season, that had decreased.
Ad-libs with Character Awareness
-- Are there any scenes that were particularly memorable in terms of acting?
Azakami: The unforgettable one is the "Benizome Onsen Murder Case." Junya ad-libbed with "Did you wash your hands?"
Enoki: Ah, the one where it's barely audible, right? (laughs)
-- It's the scene after the hot spring in episode 3, right?
Azakami: Like, does Ron not usually wash his hands? It was used in the broadcast, and I couldn't help but laugh (laughs).
Enoki: That was the result of desperately thinking of ad-libs that wouldn't get us in trouble (laughs).

-- Do you generally incorporate ad-libs, Azakami-san?
Azakami: It's difficult to find the right timing to ad-lib with Ron. However, for the puppet character in "The Hand Collector Murder Case," I intentionally acted in a strange way while being conscious of Ron's craziness. Also, in "The Live Broadcast Murder Case," I sang along with the show's theme song, thinking that this was a moment where ad-libbing was expected, so I gave it my all.
Enoki: Ah, that part was funny.
Azakami: Ron is cool, but he's definitely a weird guy, so I switched gears to portray that.
Enoki: For me, the ending of "The Benizome Onsen Murder Case" was memorable because of how Spitz left the scene—it was so odd (laughs).
Azakami: He escaped like Tarzan with a "ho ho hoi."
Enoki: Exactly. He's got a strong quirkiness, and he's a lovable fool (laughs).
—Yashiro's performance really stood out.
Enoki: Was that acting? (laughs)
Azakami: Taku sometimes messes around (laughs). He himself said, "It's written in the original work!" (laughs).
--- How about the scenes with Toto?
Enoki: In my performance, starting from "The Isolated Island Observatory Murder Case," there were more instances where I had to explain the reasoning in the opening (title), so I was surprised by the amount of lines each time and worked hard not to stumble over them.
Azakami: Every time, it starts with Toto's lines, right?
Enoki: Exactly. But as we got into the latter half, I stopped stumbling, and I thought it was amazing how humans can get used to things.
Azakami: For some reason, in the 2nd Season, you didn't stumble. During the 1st Season, there were days when you stumbled a lot.
Enoki: Maybe we both grew.
Azakami: We might have gotten a better sense of timing and the atmosphere.
--- Did the recording continue from the 1st Season?
Azakami: There was a break of about six months. However, even though there was a bit of a gap, I think we were able to record with the same kind of feeling as the 1st Season.
- Since the last interview was before the broadcast of the 1st Season, please share your thoughts on the completed version that was actually aired.
Enoki: The animation was consistently beautiful.
Azakami: Indeed. The original artwork by the teacher (Akira Amano) was wonderful, so I was excited to see how it would look when animated, and the material was utilized well. During the dubbing stage, we could only see the storyboards, so it was even more moving to see the final product.
Enoki: The script also had slightly different expressions from the original work. It was arranged to suit the anime, and the completion as a video was high, and I think the flow of the story was structured in a way that made it easy for us to perform.
Azakami: There was a unique charm to the anime.
-- Let's talk about the 2nd Season. First, could you share your impressions upon reading the script?
Enoki: I felt that the battle with the M family, which continues from the 1st Season, is being depicted in earnest. The story takes on a more intense development, with more gruesome incidents occurring compared to the 1st Season. I think this makes it more thrilling and engaging to watch.
Azakami: There are more serious scenes, aren't there?
Enoki: The methods of murder are quite brutal.
Azakami: Exactly. Moreover, the scale of the incidents has grown, involving many people. Amidst these serious developments, I found it notable that there are more cool scenes featuring Ron.
How is Enoki-san doing?
Enoki: Thanks to Toto's various experiences in the 1st Season, he has become more confident when deducing as a substitute this time. In fact, there are times when Toto's statements serve as hints for Ron. Seeing that, I thought he was gradually becoming more reliable.
—Did the staff give you any specific instructions for your performance this time?
Azakami: Maybe not?
Enoki: Yeah. I feel like I was just going with the flow the whole time.
Azakami: The first episode of the 2nd Season also started in a light-hearted way, like "Okay, let's start" (laughs).
Enoki: We finished recording quickly, too.
Azakami: It was usually done in about two hours, right?
—Wow! But there are quite a lot of lines, aren't there?
Azakami: Yes, that's right. At first, the cast was talking among themselves, saying, "There are a lot of lines, it seems tough," but I guess we got used to it in the end.
Enoki: That's true.
Azakami: When there are fewer characters in an episode, the amount of dialogue increases, but even then, I didn't find it particularly difficult. Thanks to that, I was able to focus on how to deliver the lines and how to perform them.
-- Is there anything you've noticed now that you've gotten used to it?
Azakami: Yes, there is. Simply speaking monotonously isn't interesting for the viewers or for me personally. I've come to think that it's important to consider where to emphasize, where to switch emotions, and who I'm speaking to, and to naturally connect those elements when playing Ron.

-- Ron does change his way of speaking depending on the person he's talking to, doesn't he?
Azakami: That's right. Sometimes he speaks with his emotions, and other times he speaks from a detached perspective. I think the way the lines are delivered can make a difference.
-- How about you, Enoki?
Enoki: I can't say I've gotten used to it at all...
Azakami: Why not! (laughs)
Enoki: (Laughs) I don't really try too hard; I think it's just right to have a bit of an overview. In the past, I tried to get into the role, but by taking a step back, especially in the deduction scenes, it felt more fitting. I've come to see that losing the earnestness can be the answer.
Azakami: There are types who need to think and types who can do it without thinking.

Like the effort type and the genius type?
Enoki: Eh, isn't Azakami-kun the genius type?
Azakami: No, no, I'm very logical.
Enoki: So, we're both geniuses.
Azakami: No, don't say that, or they'll write "genius duo" in the headlines (laughs).
We'll consider it (laughs). Since we have the opportunity, please share your impressions of each other's acting.
Enoki: In the 2nd Season, Azakami-kun felt a bit different compared to the 1st Season. It's not that the 1st Season wasn't good, but this time the flow was smoother, like a river turning into a clear stream.
Azakami: There might be parts where I spoke without any stagnation.
Enoki: It was easy to listen to. There's a sense of stability.
Azakami: That's something I was conscious of. If I'm the calm one, then Enoki-kun is the dynamic one. After all, Toto is responsible for the reactions and the passionate parts, so I think it creates a good contrast.
Moreover, it comes naturally. It's not so much about being shaken, but the intensity when surprised or raising one's voice has increased. It felt like he was facing the incidents from a different perspective than Ron, and I thought it was nice that the difference in values between Ron and Toto was also expressed in the performance.
-- Did you have any meetings or discussions?
Enoki: Not particularly. This isn't limited to just this work, though.
Azakami: I have a lot of trust in the idea that they will understand. In situations where I wonder if it will go this way, I sometimes think, "That's right!" and sometimes I get something even more stimulating in return.
-- Please give a message to those who are looking forward to the broadcast.
Enoki: The battle with the M family, which continues from the 1st Season, will begin in earnest in the 2nd Season. Those who haven't read the original work will be surprised, and fans of the original will be able to enjoy the wonderful visuals created by the staff from the 1st Season once again. Please heighten your expectations and enjoy the broadcast.
However, through various events since then, haven't you all, like Toto, gotten used to being swept up by Ron?
Azakami: In the second season, as the mysteries surrounding Ron's origins are revealed, you'll get to see more of his cool side. I'm consciously focusing on that aspect during the recording, and of course, his usual antics of getting Toto involved are still present, so I hope you enjoy those parts as well.
(Thank you Interviewer!)

The stream will be coming soon!
Though I want to live blog about this, I have a very important appointment on Monday and I might be MIA till afternoon.
But let me drop my Wind Breaker Bingo Card.
Edit: DISCLAIMER! Some of predictions here came from different discussions (for Endo's VA). This post and this one

Some of these are actually just crack or desperate takes. And you can see how biased is this bingo card towards Endo 😂🤣. As for the other characters, I can't grasp who are suitable voices for them. I didn't include Shingo Natori because he is already voiced by Junya Enoki.
Edit²:
Some honorable candidates I thought of for Endo: Hiroshi Kamiya and Taniyama Kishou.
As for Madoka Magica and Black Butler, I have not enough takes to make separate bingo cards for them so I'll just write them down.
I am desperately hoping for Keiko and Hikaru to make a comeback on both Madoka Magica and Black Butler, especially with Madoka Magica. Though Kalafina disbanded long ago, it's hard to picture the anime without being reminded of ed song "Magia". Kalafina is a special part of the PMMM franchise. But since it's confirmed that Yuki Kajiura is back again for the movie and Yuriko is also on vocal track, I have hopes that Hikaru will also be tapped to join.
With Black Butler tho, I have less hope of Hikaru or any singer of Yuki Kajiura to sing the ed/op of Green Witch Arc. Also, I doubt that SID will be part of the season because their music style kinda don't match well with the vibe of GW arc. The one I imagine for this season is Ali Project.
I don't have a lot to say for the additional cast but here they are:
- Aoi Yuki for Sieglinde Sullivan
- Yoshimasa Hosoya for Wolfram Gelzer
- Romi Park for one of the undercover female soldiers
If I ever recall something, I'll just put them through a reblog hahaha this took long
Ps.: if I'm not able to reply to comments and tags, then I've gone MIA and won't be back till Monday afternoon

I had a dream about one of the OCs I made a while ago (also murder mystery theater).
I know back in March I was discussing different AUs and OCs I could use for future projects, and I had a few issues with one that made me think I should axe that project, so I kind of put them on the wayside. (And hey, since we have been talking about neglecting certain OCs...)
My first problem was that I had four (fifth route scientist path absolutely not) different directions the AU hedgehog could go, but each way would require the OC to have a different personality and backstory. I wound up calling them Omelas, Yossarian (like Catch-22), POW, and Victorian mystery illness as placeholder names. Actual names would come much later. The other issue is that I later found out someone else had some similar ideas, but the ideas for each are different so I think it should be fine.
Either way, it was just a little too complicated to be viable, I thought.
But I had a dream this week that made me realize I could do all of the backstories and plots, if I split the one hedgehog into four different characters with intertwining stories.
Also, much more Flower Hill corruption than I originally had planned, but works out better.
It is kind of long, and only has basic ideas I want for the plot, so I'll put it under a read more.
Omelas
Some Flower Hill generals (or other high ranking position in the army) secretly invade some villages outside the borders of Flower Hill and abduct hedgehogs to pad their numbers. After all, the weasels will run out of bodies at some point, so they might as well throw some bodies that are not from Flower Hill at them.
Omelas is the child of a Korean/Ainu style village in which children are raised communally (and maybe girls aren’t given names until marriage, that is a regional thing in the past), and the hedgehog in question is just treated as an 'extra burden' since they are female. The area itself speaks a specific language dialect since it has been remote for generations, but the village head has been discouraging that.
The young hedgehogs are taken by the generals and sergeants, who mark them as Flower Hill hedgehogs trying to escape conscription, so no one asks many questions, especially since many of them can't give proper names, so other soldiers think they are lying. The military leaders involved get large bonuses for capturing deserters, as well as for how many conscripts they have under them, so two birds one stone.
Eventually, most of the other non Flower Hill hedgehogs die in battle, while the survivors plan rebellions behind the scenes.
Omelas, possibly as part of a ploy by the group to 'send a message,' causes a scene including destruction and threatening Flower Hill in the other dialect one day, that gets herself in trouble. The military police during the trial finds absolutely no record of her existing in Flower Hill before the army, which backs up the stories that had been going around, uncovering the corruption. The investigation unit that has to come in realizes that they now have an international incident on their hands if anyone finds out, and also if the records have been falsified, then there are an untold number of angry foreign hedgehogs planning a rebellion, and they don't know where they are.
Omelas is sent to work on a farm as punishment for the incident she caused, and also to keep them out of the way while Flower Hill tries to figure out what to do about the abductions (probably nothing, most of them are dead anyway, and it could be easier for the others to be written off as weasel sympathizers and ‘gotten rid of’), especially since the villages no longer consider the missing hedgehogs their own.
I kind of want her to be named after a mushroom. I really like the name Enoki/Enokitake, but that is a Japanese word, and it is Pine Mushrooms (songi beoseot) that are the major delicacy in North Korea, so I have to work on that.
But either way, she hates Flower Hill from the bottom of her heart, but also knows the weasels would kill her, so she has to bide her time and hope the rest of the survivors do their part.
Yossarian:
A young hedgehog from a family where each member has an impressive military career, especially in sniping (almost wondering if she should be related to Wonsi, my other hedgehog OC from a sniper family, but those AU ideas are not connected). When she was young, she found a sick and starving mouse child who had crossed the border and tries to help them, only for a squirrel friend a few years older than her to murder the child for being one of the enemy. Everyone praised the squirrel (possibly because they thought they might be next), who later went on to be a squad leader/general, which makes Yossarian question Flower Hill and why everyone outside needs to die, especially if they are too weak to be an issue. She doesn’t question the war or conscription in general, though, just why she has to do it.
Since she is an excellent sniper during conscription, her term limits keeps getting raised, and she is put in an 'exception' group. Like in Catch-22, this group can only end the conscription if they go on a set amount of missions, but that number keeps getting raised whenever they near the cap.
The leader of the group (I don't know military terms and commander seems to be wrong here) is the squirrel friend, who offers to let her out if she marries him in a televised wedding to show off Flower Hill's unity. At some point he forges paperwork saying that everyone in the unit has decided to stay in the military full time for another two years (have not decided if the 'exception group' explanation was a lie he came up with). Most of the group is happy that they did not have to waste the time filling out the paperwork, but others fall into depression, disrupting the unity of the unit.
Thus, Yossarian feels trapped and resents Flower Hill, while also feeling very protective of the few squad-mates she likes, and starts sniping enemy mice and weasels in the shoulders, in such a way that they can never hold guns again, but can still otherwise work. This earns her a reputation with the Weasel Unit. Killing someone brings no joy, but she finds it disturbing how excited she gets to wound someone, since it means they can finally be free, as she wishes to be.
But what would she even do outside of the army? Be a farmer? That would be disgraceful for the family, but can they really see themselves as being a part of the military or marrying the squirrel forever?
Finally, Yossarian snaps and assaults the commanders themselves when they call her in to send her on a long mission, screaming about the lies and false paperwork, which surprises and confuses them (also the squad mates who thought she was happy), because would have assumed she would be happy to work for Flower Hill in that way (oh, but there are a few like her every now and then, but they usually wash out earlier), but yes, that squirrel should not have done that.
He only gets a slap on the wrist, and Yossarian is 'diagnosed' with combat fatigue and stress due to expectations, but still needs to be punished, and is sentenced to work on a farm.
Meanwhile, a small investigation is started.
POW
A failed squirrel scout who gets captured and is a POW for a while before being rescued. But it is assumed he must have talked or turned, and is sent to a detention/re education facility instead to figure out what information they gave (he gave nothing). The detention facility actually does worse than what the weasels did to him, emotionally at least. Flower Hill was supposed to care about him, but they have completely betrayed him, and are not giving his injuries proper medical attention. Also, he is really afraid to go back out, considering everything he had gone through. Even the friends who are allowed to visit look at him as if they think he is weak and pathetic somehow.
He is not actually supposed to be in the detention facility. His commanding officer was a nepotism hire who accidentally gave him the wrong information, and then forged evidence of him being turning traitor to cover up his mistakes. Or maybe was even bribed by the weasel unit to give him over, and the rescue is a ‘problem’ for whatever deals he has going on if anyone looks too closely at the capture. No one in the facility questions the paperwork, though, and don’t explain anything to the squirrel.
This can go two ways:
POW eventually goes into sepsis from the injuries (maybe appendicitis, although really just humans, monkeys, possums, and rabbits who get that but hey, fiction?), and is only saved by the his old drill Sargent who was brought in to scream about what a disgrace he was, but recognized he was dying. That, or the facility gets raided by the Weasel Unit, and some enemy soldiers recognize him and appear so genuinely concerned about his health that he accidentally confesses and answers all their questions. Maybe both.
Or, he agrees to go back out on another mission so he can leave the facility. The handlers falsify some records to say he is fully retrained and recovered, but upon joining up with the Weasel Unit in disguise, has a panic attack and goes catatonic, which combined with his other health issues, freaks out the mice. The doctors turn out to be his original interrogators, who send him back because his reappearance in such a way actually answers the majority of the questions they had been asking about Flower Hill the first time they captured him, so they have no need of him anymore.
The workers could actually be fired or jailed for what they did to him, so they write it off as him developing sympathies for the enemy and helping them (perhaps albeit under duress) which nets him a labor sentence on a farm (especially if they spin it as he somehow brought the weasel unit to attack the facility and let them in). But his physical injuries linger, making it difficult for him to work, and there may be quite a few mental issues involved, which only gets worse as actual investigations begin and find him at the center of the turmoil. Also the drill Sargent starts asking a lot of questions.
Victorian Mystery Disease.
Basically a hedgehog with a failure to thrive issue. They have been sickly since birth with some sort of fatigue disorder, which everyone assumes is laziness. No matter how hard he tries, he cannot move very far without feeling exhausted and slowing down. Maybe some chronic pain issues as well.
Eventually he gets diagnosed as a malingerer, and as punishment to 'fix him,' he is sent to a farm to labor as punishment.
He is very upset about this, and has been frustrated his entire life with his inability to be 'normal,’ like everyone else.
Honestly, I’m kind of thinking Fibromyalgia. I’d didn’t expect to find this term when looking up symptoms as I was about to post, I was going to leave it open ended or give them regular anemia problems.
Murder Mystery
As I said in the original post, The idea for all of this came from when I was playing The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog the day it came out (those actual playtime segments were really stressful and made my mind jump around), and I did want a train to be involved at some point.
Which serves as a good meeting point for the characters, while they are being transported to the farm. They can't exit the train, so they are mostly allowed to roam free.
So, it could start en media res, which each of the four accidentally getting drunk at different points and bemoaning their problems. (Omelas because her guard suggested she tries a drink because she will never get the chance again, Yossarian to drown the stress and shame, POW to steady his nerves because he saw Weasel Unit soldiers, and Vic because it was an accident).
A bartender has the most horrifying night of his life, making him question his habits of getting strangers drunk to listen to their life stories, and briefly reconsider his alliance to Flower Hill.
A foreign reporter has the most fascinating day of her life.
The Poirot style international detective is very concerned.
Meanwhile, the train tracks have been switched, stranding the train in the snow, while several prominent people on board are murdered one by one, and the four are some of the prime suspects...
The Farm
The original plan was for the farm to be at the ocean. But that would provide too many opportunities to escape (although weasel unit infiltration would be easier). I am actually thinking of making the punishment farm be in Dol Jogagga, the rock carving/sculpting village I made up. After all, the sculptures are important for international relations, so they could use some help with the farms.
And they were roommates.
The four live in one small farmhouse together and farm what they can. They are told that if they can manage a certain amount of harvest several times in a row, then they can go back to the rest of Flower Hill.
They dislike each other either for being foreign or for being weak, but eventually heal and unlearn propaganda, maybe. Which is the opposite of what was supposed to happen.
So, basic farming, recovery, and slice of life in this village. Dol Jogagga is protected with enough sentries that there is almost no way to escape without them noticing. But they are remote enough to not stigmatize the laborers like the rest of Flower Hill. In fact, they are a little suspicious of the commanders, and can feel sympathy for the four, so are relatively nice to them, and try and help the best they can. Also remote enough to have their own dialect as well, which the four sometimes accidentally use, to the amusement of the villagers.
Maybe some enemies to lovers with Omelas and Yossarian. POW and Vic can just vibe as roommates and try and fix/understand their illnesses together.
Omelas learns that life does not have to be a tragedy and starts to relax a bit. Maybe starts growing mushrooms and starts a successful business. Everyone else learns to find farming very relaxing.
The corrupt investigative officers and other officers realize that the four are actually enjoying themselves, and people are asking too many questions, but cannot change the punishments because it turns out they got kickbacks from them in the first place. Plus, changing the punishments would bring even more suspicion upon everyone involved in the corruption plots, so they try and trick them into leaving on occasion.
Corrupt investigative officers/military police keep coming by to try and make the four confess to something since otherwise they know too much. Maybe sometimes Weasel Unit scouts do sneak into the village and shenanigans ensure.
Anyway, thanks to the hurricane, it has been raining for days here, and some parts of my area have been evacuated. I'm uphill, at least.
But it had me dreaming that it was a hazy, pleasantly humid, raining midday afternoon. The type of day when the chores are done, and there is not much to do. The hedgehogs and squirrel are cuddled up at the entrance way of the house, either drinking tea or mushroom soju, sliding door opened. In the distance, one of the nosy and aggressive investigators has arrived to harass them again, but since it was an unsanctioned visit, did not know the exact house, and are falling into muddy fields, getting further and further away.
It was very relaxing.
#Flower Hill having massive problems with fraud and corruption in the background and these four seem to be at the root of some of them#which could seriously affect the army#I'm not sure how best to describe serious corruption in the military#so these are basic ideas that would require a lot of research#could just name the omelas hedgehog sonamu (pine) or something if no one else has one with that name#squirrel and hedgehog#squirrel and hedgehog OCs#sah#SaH#I think some people can relate to Victorian mystery disease#if you can see what I was getting at there with the Fibromyalgia#making it a read more since it is long and rambling

There’s a reason I trust Junya “Enojun” Enoki’s interpretation on the projects (that I love) he’s been doing. He did excellent portraying Yuji Itadori. He was so lovable (and believable) as Toto Isshiki. There is this insight that he and, interestingly enough, his co-VAs see when it comes to the interaction of the two main characters of “Kuroshitsuji /Black Butler.”
(Ryumaru) Tachibana: I thought it would be nice to have a taste that doesn't change even after years have passed. Because it is a long-lasting work, there is a part that grew up when it became an anime for the first time in a long time, but there is something like a “long-established taste” that does not change. When I saw and heard the interaction between Sebastian and Ciel, “The Black Butler is back!” I felt like that.
(Junya) Enoki: Sebastian and Ciel's interaction has an exquisite “flirting feeling” (laughs).
Toshiki Watanabe, Shunsuke Takeuchi, Tachibana: That's right! ( lol)
Enoki: That sense of distance is interesting. It's not that they like each other separately, but for some reason, I thought that the two people who seem to be flirting are unique to “Black Butler.”

If the VAs notice the nuance of S and Ciel’s relationship, why can’t we?
Other selected passages :
The P4’s impression of “Black Butler : Public School Arc”
Toshiki Watanabe: "Black Butler" was originally my favorite work, and I also had all the original comics. When I saw an anime for the first time, I said, "That is such a fashionable work!" I remember thinking that. I also like British fashion, and it is a work that stuck in my heart, including the world view. In the “Public School arc,” I like the Houndstooth check pattern of uniform slacks.
Junya Enoki: It was a work that I knew before I became a voice actor, so I didn't expect to be involved like this over time. I read the original story well after I decided to participate in the boarding school edition, but after all, the line of “I’m one hell of a butler” is amazing. The picture is beautiful and popular, so I thought it was only for women, but the mystery part is also interesting. I felt like I understood why it was loved by a wide range of people regardless of gender.
Shunsuke Takeuchi: I'm also in the generation that hits directly around the second season, so I have many friends around me who are reading “Black Butler” comics and watching the anime. I myself was shocked when I was watching Seasons I and II of the anime, and the character design was amazing. The color of the characters drawn by Ms. Toboso is chic, it leaves a great impression. The character has depth. The illustration itself is gorgeous and fantastic, but each person feels realistic and muddy as a human being. I was entertained, including such nuances, so it felt rewarding to be involved expressing in that world.
Tachibana Ryumaru: There is also grotesqueness in the beautiful world view. Originally, I was watching it under the influence of my sister, but it was a content that can be enjoyed by both men and women of all ages. While there is a serious part to solve the case, it feels good to see the interaction between unique characters. There was also a variety of scenes that made me laugh, and I was looking forward to it as a viewer when "Public School arc" started, because it was a work that I had been watching for so long as a longtime fan that I didn't think I was addicted to it. I never thought I'd be involved in that... While doing my best, I'm playing one of the P4 because I want to become a breath of fresh air of the latest “Black Butler.”
The dirtiest dormitory
Tachibana: Violet Wolf Dormitory is a group full of weirdos (laughs). It's a dormitory that can be recognized if you are good at one art, so personality is more important than anything else. Each of them has a strong view of the world, so no matter what the people around them are doing, there are many students who can't see anything other than what they are concentrating on. We have a lot of love and pride for our dorms, but the dormitory seems to be the dirtiest among the four dormitories. I feel like I'm not cleaning enough (laughs).

General atmosphere during the recording
Enoki: Bluewer and Redmond are a bit like arguing. There was also a sense of disjointedness, but there was also a sense of sharing with a hidden thing or an attempt by the four of us, so I think that teamwork was played well.
Watanabe: There was also one scene that was significant to the P4, and I really remembered that it was fun.
If you are going to enter the prestigious boarding school Weston, which dormitory do you want to enter?
Tachibana: Purple dormitory!
Watanabe: I want to enter the red dormitory, but I think it's the purple dormitory that suits my personality.
Takeuchi: Purple dormitory where you can concentrate on what you want to do at your own pace, isn't it?
Enoki: If I were to go in, I wonder if it would be green or purple dormitory.

PS: I am so sorry but the photo shoots/press releases on P4’s VAs are suggesting the possible pairings of their respective characters. First and foremost, it has always been Yana T’s idea.

For 2024
Save up for a car
Get my drivers license
Sell my woodburnings at DCAF
Step back from discord a bit
Draw more dragons
Enoki themed playing card deck
It's difficult writing resolutions after such a shit mental health year for me, I don't feel any better either. I have no drive or urge to draw so every time I do I've had to force myself into it. I think for 2024 I just want to try and be kinder to myself but also improve myself somehow.
I've also lost a ton of love for my worldbuilding project, thinking about the discord makes me just want to abandon it and call it a day so instead of acting rashly I think I need to be strict with myself and just not use discord much anymore unless its for working with clients.
I have such a tiny amount of social energy in my battery these days (not just because of the holidays, in general) I dunno how to navigate it because I've only enough energy for myself and my husband.
This was supposed to be me writing up my goals for the next year and I slipped into venting lol okay.. the general feeling for 2024 is just make it through. If I upload art then I hope you can appreciate what I managed to force out, and if everyone sees I'm not really all what I'm cracked up to be, then so be it. I'll figure something else out if that happens. Thanks for being there for me in 2023 regardless.
#I apologise for the bluntness or honesty here#sometimes i cant put on the customer service face#hope your new year will bring you good things

Echo of Magic next chapter under cut.
Read from the start.
Chapter 3: Escape
Gale and Astarion flee Moonhaven to the wilderness Underdark.
Warnings: Panic attacks, vomiting, and generally Gale feeling very, very overwhelmed.
The pounding on the door brought both of them to high alert, Astarion hovering protectively over him and growling, a knife in his hand. Gale, too, was growling.
"Dress quickly," came Lae'zel's voice. "The Absolute has sent minions."
"Shit," said the elf, swiftly moving to dress. Gale felt his heart pounding as he stood to put on his own clothes. They were in danger, and they wanted him back. Would they capture him again, put a slave crown on his head? He shivered, even as Astarion opened the door.
"Voss and Rook are attempting to divert their attention," said the githyanki. "Follow."
They moved silently as they swept through a dining hall, then downstairs to the cellars, giant casks most likely filled with all manner of alcohol. Shadowheart and Orpheus were waiting.
"We will try to divert them as long as we can," Orpheus said, pressing his hand into what appeared to be a plain wall, but slid open to reveal a darkened passage. "Lae'zel, travel with them. Go to Enoki. We have a contact there, and we'll try to reconvene at Waukeem's Rest."
"Be careful," said Shadowheart. "They've sent Orin here."
Orpheus grimaced. "Be careful yourselves. The Underdark is dangerous as well, even without the Absolute. Go! Don't look back."
Gale turned to watch as the door slid shut, entirely seamless. "Will they be all right?" He asked quietly, even as Astarion gently led him away.
"Moonhaven will raise it's defenses if Orin and the Absolute choose to attack it," replied Lae'zel.
"Who is Orin?"
"She was the first person to undergo the esper infusion," Shadowheart explained. "From my understanding, she was never quite normal, but after the infusion, she went completely insane."
"Follow my steps exactly, and do not falter," Lae'zel ordered. She led them on what appeared to be a random path, passing several large pathways of spiderwebs.
"Look up," Astarion whispered, and he did, his heart stuttering as he saw large arachnids crawling above them. "The path Lae'zel uses alerts the spiders that we are not their enemies. If the Absolutists manage to break through, they won't find the way easy. It would also be difficult to maneuver magitech easily."
"They could, however, blow up everything," Lae'zel added. "Though then that would cause a cave in, and the wrath of the Spider Queen."
Gale didn't believe he was arachnophobic, but the sight of the spiders was certainly unnerving. Nothing, however, prepared him when they entered a larger room with circular pillars, and at the center was an even larger spider, guarding what appeared to be a deep hole.
"Is that the Spider Queen?" He whispered.
"No," said the githyanki. "Queen of this brood, but not the Spider Queen."
He shook his head, disbelieving; if that wasn't the queen, he certainly didn't want to see her. Lae'zel spoke some words, and he heard the large spider chitter back. A large explosion caused the ground to shudder, rocks falling around them. The corridor behind them collapsed.
"Idiots," the githyanki spat. "Though not entirely unexpected. Orin has been known to make such rash actions." She led them towards the center, and Gale's eyes widened as he looked down, unable to see the bottom. Another smaller explosion echoed in the cavern.
"How do we go down?" Gale asked, even as he saw Lae'zel unraveling rope from her pack. "Surely we aren't climbing down..."
"And do you have a better idea?"
"As a matter of fact, I do. That is, if you trust me."
"I don't, but that is besides the point."
"Lae'zel," Shadowheart warned.
He supposed it shouldn't come as a surprise she was wary of him, given he had fought for the Absolute not too long before. Yet they couldn't go back now. With a soft few words, magic wrapped around the small party. He could not say what the others felt, but to him, he almost seemed lighter, as if he would float away at any second.
"Magic," Lae'zel spoke softly, "It comes to you so easily. What have you done?"
"The spell should make our descent easier." He moved to the edge.
"Wait! You mean...you're just going to jump?" Shadowheart exclaimed. "Just like that? How can we be certain this will work?"
"We don't," said Astarion, his jaw tense. He took Gale's hand. "Together, then?"
Gale smiled, counted down from three, and as he took a breath, they jumped. He was sure that the vampire expected to fall quickly, but instead, their descent was slow, like a bubble floating downwards.
"Shit," he heard Shadowheart say, as she took a leap, Lae'zel at her side, then gave a laugh. "It's working! Amazing!"
He agreed with her, as they slowly floated downwards, different, glowing mushrooms beginning to appear along the walls as they went deeper into the earth. He hoped that Orpheus and the others were all right, that the people of Moonhaven would not suffer because of him. Astarion squeezed his hand, and he gave a faint smile.
When they finally reached the bottom, Gale looked around in wonder. There were giant mushrooms all around him, as well as smaller ones scattered around. The mushrooms and moss glowed gently. He was surprised to see trees in some areas, the leaves a mix of dark and light blues. Hanging from above, there were vines, a light green, also glowing, and at their ends were grape-like fruit.
He had always imagined caverns to simply be dark and cold. The temperature was certainly cooler, but this world was filled with more life than expected, a beautiful landscape. He shifted closer to Astarion, even as he kept looking around.
"It's beautiful," Gale whispered. "I never imagined this."
"Yes, though I prefer the sun above us," Astarion replied. "There is a lot of danger down here, a lot of hostile creatures, though friendly beings as well."
"Enough talk," Lae'zel said. "We must continue to move."
"We can talk and move at the same time," Shadowheart retorted.
"A foolish idea when the Absolute seeks us."
"I can assure you that whether we talk or not won't make much of a difference."
"And I believe..."
"Ah...are they always like this?" Gale asked, watching the pair bicker even as they continued to walk.
"Yes, they're always like this. Let them bicker. It will keep their minds off the others."
"Do you...believe they will be all right?"
"I don't know. When we joined the resistance, we all knew the risks involved, knew that some of us might die. We have lost good people."
"How are you so sure the Absolute is in the wrong?"
"Other than Cazador working with them? They're wanting to control everyone, and they've done a lot of harm in their experiments with espers. You don't remember what the Absolute made you do. You helped take a few towns in their name."
Gale's steps faltered as memory surged through his mind, of using magic not only to take these towns in the name of the Absolute, but to fight those that opposed them, to kill any that wouldn't lay down their arms. How many had he killed? He felt his stomach roll, and he managed to step to the side before he became ill.
"I suppose there wasn't a nicer way to put it," said Shadowheart as he steadied, her voice hard.
"No," Gale said, glaring. "I don't want to walk around the issue. I may not remember all I did, but I have the right to know."
"Yes," said Astarion. "But do keep in mind that you were controlled. Even if you screamed inside, you couldn't disobey an order."
Gale stood up, still pale, and watched how the vampire didn't look at him as he said the words. Astarion had also been a slave, to this Cazador. He washed his mouth out with some water, then they continued.
Shortly after, a small group of moogles appeared, beckoning to them. They held spears in their short hands.
"Danger," said one.
"You know common?" Shadowheart exclaimed.
"Little. Danger near. Follow?"
"We head to Enoki," Lae'zel said. "Can you take us there?"
"Follow. Silent, yes?"
Quietly, they followed the moogle, and discovered why it told them to remain silent. A group of minotaurs were wandering, most likely searching for sustenance. They laid on the ground in a darker spot, hidden under some larger mushrooms. Gale fidgeted the longer the minotaurs lingered, worried they would remain here too long and the Absolute would find them instead. Astarion's hand moved to his lower back, rubbing small circles to calm him. Then, to their utter surprise, there was a yell, something that sounded like a humanoid, and they thought they caught a glimpse of someone running with the minotaurs.
"The hells was that?" Astarion whispered.
"Wild man," said the moogle. "His tribe." It whistled, then called out.
"Is that a good idea...?" Astarion asked, but the humanoid had heard the whistle, and called to the minotaurs.
The humanoid, it appeared, was actually a man, and quite a large one as well. His head and face, surprisingly, was bald, and he gave a smile as he approached the moogles.
"Friend Imoen!" The large man said, kneeling down to talk with the moogle.
Astarion shared a look with Gale of utter confusion before they slowly approached, wary of the minotaurs. Yet as the tribe, as this Imoen called them, they realized one carried another human.
~
Gale's eyes widened as he caught sight of the small girl riding on the shoulders of a minotaur. The 'wild man' followed Gale's line of sight, and smiled.
"Yenna," he said, pointing at the small girl, then pointed to himself. "Minsc."
"Boo," added the little girl, giving a little laugh.
"Boo!" Minsc laughed, holding a little golden hamster in his hands.
"You're...you're friends with the minotaurs?" Shadowheart asked, her hand not leaving the mace at her side. Gale didn't blame her for her wariness.
"Family, yes?"
"These are your family?" Gale asked. "How did you get here?"
Minsc looked at the ground for a moment. "Minsc...left here. Years ago. Don't remember other family. Did not want Minsc. So Minsc found other family, made him strong. Then found Yenna. Little, defenseless...like Minsc was."
"Cowards," said Lae'zel. "Though githyanki children are raised to fight, and some die in the process, we do not simply abandon them. It is a wonder you survived down here in these barren lands."
"We're lingering too long," Astarion said. "The Absolute will track us. We must get to Enoki."
"Absolute," said the wild man, his eyes narrowing. "Evil."
"You know of them?" Gale asked. "Even here?"
"Absolute here, in fortress across water. Attack Mushroom friends."
"Then we need to go." Astarion began to tug on Gale's hand. "We may not be able to stay in Enoki long if the Absolute plans to overtake the Underdark."
"Can they, though? Isn't the Underdark dangerous?" The wizard asked.
"It is, but there are small settlements, mostly Myconids, and large swaths of the land is wilderness. Yet there are resources here that they probably wish to use, or they've found something we don't know about."
Gale turned his head, noticing that Minsc was still following them. The man gave a little wave.
"We seem to have found more followers," Shadowheart mused.
"We help?" Minsc asked.
"Help," agreed Imoen.
Astarion gave a half shrug, urging them forward. Every second, Gale expected Absolutists to overtake them, but the Underdark was filled with all manner of dangerous plants and creatures. Many avoided them because of the minotaurs, as well as Minsc. Even as they approached the small town of Enoki, he could feel the rising fear. The entrance was hidden by vegetation. The actual village was created by various mushrooms, the center an even larger one. Surely this place would offer them little safety, and only bring danger to the Myconids that lived here.
"Gale, look at me," came the order, and he blinked, his eyes focusing on Astarion's ruby eyes. The vampire held his chin gently, and he reached to grab the hands that caressed him. He realized he was shaking a bit, his breathing a little too loud and fast.
"We need to leave," he whispered. "We...we can't stay here! We need to leave. Now!"
"Gale," Astarion cupped his face, shifting closer. "You're panicking. Breath. Slowly. I'll count for you."
"B-but..."
"Listen to my voice, lovely. No, don't look at the others, just at me."
Despite the urge to pull away, to run, fight, and flee, he listened to his lover slowly count, to take shuddering breaths in, then to release. It took a few missteps, but Astarion didn't falter, stroking his cheek.
"That's it, darling. You're doing very well. This is a lot to handle, isn't it? Your memory is hobbled, and you've been thrust into this war with people you don't trust."
"I trust you."
Astarion's caresses faltered, his eyes widening, but then a small, genuine smile crossed his face. "Given my questionable past, I'm not sure if that's the best idea."
They pressed their foreheads together, and Gale took a breath. "I think it may be the best idea ever."

Personally I see a lot of despair in Koko's eyes (see the bags under his eyes) and the epitome of his guilt; guilt for not saving Akane and because he's probably afraid that Inupi also used him for his own gain like everyone else, which is not the case of course but it's a delicate moment and Inupi touched a sore point, but one that was imperative to address because, in the end, Inupi had a point, Koko couldn't forgive himself for Akane's death even if it wasn't his fault. Koko rationally knew she was gone, but he couldn't let his guilt go.
Inupi is desperately trying to reason with Koko, (the way Seishu's voice just breaks when he screams he's SEISHU and not Akane destroyed me, kudos Enoki Junya) but Koko is still not ready to forgive himself and accept that he simply wants to be with Inupi (he needs another 2.5 years and a separation to get to that point) so I, personally, see a lot of despair in that look, I see Koko feeling that he has let down, once again, the people he cares about: Seishu and Akane.
He probably feels that he let Seishu down because he doesn't want to join Tenjiku with him even if Koko made sure to prepare a place for him because, in Koko's mind, Tenjiku was the safest option. And because, for all that time, Koko always tried to do his best.
I've got the feeling that Koko feels he's being judjed by Inupi at that point, he's angry and emotional during the whole fight with Inupi (and in the anime even sadder and more defeated), he shouts at him to "stop looking at him with that face". The official translation in my native language imho conveys better this feeling because Koko says "Don't look at me with those eyes full of contempt" and then he talks in past sentence regarding everything he did, all the requested he accepted in the past in order to make money.
Imho this is Koko projecting his own anger towards himself: sure, Inupi is worried for Koko, a part of him is mad at Koko because Inupi has perfectly understood Koko's problems and his guilt, while Koko clearly isn't ready to face the problem and I guess Inupi is tired, emotionally drained by that situation (let's keep in mind Inupi's fears as well, he wants to believe Koko sticks with him because he wants to, but he's also afraid to be seen as a substitute).
But also let's not forget that, with all the history they have, Koko also probably doesn't feel at peace with himself in his relationship with Inupi for the reasons we know: the fact that Koko saved him while shouting Akane's name and then he couldn't save her.
We know that Koko wants to be with Inupi as he choses to do in the last arc, but they never addressed their problems, even if i'm sure that Koko is happy that Inupi survived;
and I understand it wouldn't have been easy; to this day, I have no idea how Koko might have felt after the fire, it was such a terrible situation.
Then there was the kiss of course, the moment where, imho, Koko admits to himself for the first time he has feelings for Inupi and not for Akane. The same Akane that stopped him from kissing her and gave him an important lesson: "kiss only the person you like".
But it's terrible realization given their traumatic past, saving Inupi "by chance", his guilt for not saving Akane, the promise he did to her to protect her, the life of crime he was living that he hated and Akane wouldn't have condone. Let's not even start thinking about what it mean to be not-straight in a society like Japan...
Anyway, a part of Koko wants to go on, as implied by his character song and confirmed by his decisions in the last arc. But it's not easy, Koko sees himself as unredeemable for a long time, while he knows, because he sees it during the Tenjiku arc, that Inupi can live a good life without him, while he can't see himself living without making money in the worst way for the worst people
And in my opinion it is no accident that he caresses the scar, Inupi's hallmark more than anything else
He would like to be with Inupi, but he knows he has done bad things to get there that he can tell he is not proud of.
Inupi is pursuing an ideal by staying with Toman, which Koko cannot accept because he is too disillusioned and thinks he has no other choice (plus Tenjiku was the safest solution when they had their fight; then we know Tenjiku "loses", but Koko was trying to be rational, at least, before the Akane's topic came up.)
Inupi is more rational/lucid in regards to Akane and Koko's money obsession; maybe it was just a narrative decision, maybe it's a trait of Inupi's personality, maybe Inupi realized and processed many things off screen, whatever, but it seems to me that Inupi has a better grasp of the actual problem in their relationship, his own obsession with Black Dragoon (clearly a way to cope) and has somehow processed the trauma better; not that he's over it, otherwise he wouldn't shout at Koko to stop seeing him as Akane, but I see him more emotionally mature in some aspects or at least, he's more honest with himself about the situation, even if he still has his fears.
(There's is also a whole part of headcanons regarding Inupi and Akane and how he must have felt after the fire and her death, knowing that, in Inupi's mind, he wasn't "supposed to live", the grief of losing a sister that he loved, maybe some irrational jealousy because he wasn't Koko's "first choice" -i hate this term, but try to understand Inupi's pov🥲-, but still being sad because Inupi rationally knows it's a terrible thing to think, especially since she's dead, he misses her, has survival guilt, their whole family destroyed, physically, psychologically and economically, but this is more headcanon/fanfiction territory)

Funguary Day 5: Enoki (sorry it is late!!)

[Read pinned post for a description of my Funguary project]
Rotwood:
West of the Lurch, Rotwood is the shell of a luscious, forested landscape. Out of the remains of the trees grow stacks of towering mushrooms reaching for the sun. Rotwood is a damp and dim woodland under the thick fungus canopy, concealing the Nightwell River and the town of Persyl.
So I'm a liiittle behind, this was meant to be yesterday but it is HERE NOW!! The forest will also cover more of the island but I. Did not have the time I needed for this one. Rest assured the completed map will include it lol
EDIT: ACCIDENTALLY PUT DAY 4 OOPS
