I do like it quite a bit, big fan of the chaos, though I haven't gotten very far in terms of the whole scope of the game. The few times that I've beaten the final boss were largely because I got lucky about the wands that I found (wand building is a skill that I am not yet well versed in) or perks I got (electricity + breathless and a lot of sea of water spells really makes it a breeze). Mostly I get bodied in the Vault.

I haven't visited any parallel worlds yet. The last time I tried exploring outside the standard path I wound up in some place called the Meat Realm and let me tell you I did Not care for it. Can't wait to visit again.

#danganronpa #sdr2 #nagito komaeda #hajime hinata #komahina #sayaka maizono #makoto naegi #oooooohhhhhh boy chapter 3. uh. daily life was great #the case itself. probably my least favourite of the game #despair disease. on one hand rip hinatas issues that he hears komaeda go 'I hate you go away' and can only respond with 'wha-FINE I will'#and not. ya know. realize the whole liar's disease going on #on the other hand hinata. the liar's disease. oh my god #at this point in the game I was more sympathetic to komaeda and focused less on hinata #but in retrospect now that Hinata is Best Boy Doing His Best Always Moving Forward #dang kinda insane how two-sided the sabatage of their relationship is #that yes komaeda's self deprication/actions pushes people away and makes them distrustful of him #but hinata is also all too willing to take anything even slightly doubtful of him at face value then turn away from it #the idea that hinata is filled with so much self doubt he is So Unwilling to hear anything negative Komaeda says about him #(bc Hinata still cares what Komaeda thinks about him! not enough discussion about the gavins' complicated relationship with feminine-coded/beauty products, i don't think.

#for klavier because it's not as direct it's about how we never see him actually wearing lipstick? even though apollo literally attends #a concert of his which is where you'd most expect him to wear makeup. but apparently he just doesnt. or at least not in public #klavier gavin #kristoph gavin #i feel like there are several ways you can read into it. the misogyny/toxic masculinity one is really obvious clearly with kristoph's #singling out of men specifically and klavier's (probably accidental?) condescending manner of calling women 'fraulein' plus his general #mildly patronising attitude towards many of the women in the game (also probably unintentional)#(i think he's trying to be charming and it's coming off wrong to some of them. like ema. and me.)#but i feel like there's also maybe an element of... inherent perfecfionism to it? like both of these products are conventionally beautifyin #products and kristoph while he is open to showing people he uses nail polish specifically chooses one that's clear and missable unless you #see him apply it. he also feels the need to justify his use of it and specifically spell it out as something he chooses to do rather than #needs to do even though duh. that should be obvious.#idk there's just something about his seeming need to take control of that narrative that i find interesting. his need to spin it into a #'there's nothing wrong with my nails but I had the foresight to see that even the smallest parts of my appearance should be kept immaculate #and it's a choice i'm making to refine an already adequate part of my personage /not/ to cover some unsightly defect.' the need to emphasis #that specifically is so. hm. and with klavier i could see it being a case of him liking makeup liking the pops of colour yet being unwillin #to admit to it because he's afraid that other people might see it as him being dissatisfied with his own appearance regardless of if he is #or isn't. or even just perceiving colourful makeup as being unseemly because it's so overt and unnatural.#like i can see this as them both viewing 'real' beauty to be that which is inherent to a person and seemingly effortless #thus somehow negating the beauty which one achieves through cosmetics or other external means.#and if you want to use external means to achieve beauty or neatness or whatever then your only valid options are those which blend into you #natural state. like clear nail polish. or really awful spray tan.#i feel like klavier's less confined by these ideas (if they hold merit at all) considering he actually owns coloured lipstick and he wears #jewellery (admittedly quite 'masculine' jewellery no gems or pearls or anything like that but jewellery nonetheless) but i think it just #makes it more interesting that he doesnt seem quite able to cross the line anyway. like it's that ingrained into his system.#anyway that's all i've got. you guys should tell me what you think too #annotations

Why is Senshi so against magic?

I believe he mentions it somewhere but it's basically prejudice against something he doesn't really understand, it might also have something to do with his general distrust of elves.

There's this part I really like where he says resurrection magic isn't normal, and he isn't wrong, Laios and the other adventurer's have just become numb to death because of resurrection magic, and don't realize how bizarre the situation is anymore.

That's probably somewhat how he feels about magic in general, something unnatural he doesn't understand so he doesn't want it being done to him

He does come around to it if I remember correctly but I can't recall which chapter or extra he mentions it (he does accept Marcille doing water walk on him in the kelpie chapter but I think there's somewhere where he talks about it)

#there's also the fact he has been away from society for a long time so he's even less used to magic than the average dwarf I imagine #like I don't think Namari or Dia would ever be as standoffish to magic as he is #especially since its common for dwarves to interact with gnomes and gnomes are the second race with the most magic energy #namari still is wary of resurrection magic tho so maybe not being able to cast magic as easily does make them more aware of it?#still senshi is specially wary of it #senshi of izganda #ask #senshi #character ask
