READ PART ONE
Tumblr media
Donghyuck thought about that kiss every night since it happened, yet knowing you didn’t do the same. How unfortunate it was, when he panicked waking next to you in the morning and wondering if you were to confront him about it. However, there was nothing, no follow up. You didn’t remember it and he couldn’t tell if the sigh that left his mouth that morning was out of relief or despair.
Regardless, that became his epiphany and the more his love for you grew, the more he wished to be around you for all his days. Donghyuck jumped at every text message, picking up the phone to see if it was you and noting the disappointment in his heart whenever it wasn’t. He found himself smiling whenever your name was brought up, fondly thinking of how you make his heart race.
The moments that you were together, he swears on every universe that he’s the happiest he’s ever been. There’s something about you that makes him want to believe in love, and it’s not because of your unrealistic desires to find one. As selfish as he came to be, he wanted you all to himself and to be the sole reason behind your smiles.
“No Mark?” Asking as you hop into Donghyuck’s car, the clock on his dash reading the red digital numbers 2:12 A.M.
“Why can’t we just hang out for once?” He whines, but hopes that it’s playful enough to where you can’t tell that he’s actually serious. Donghyuck hears your melodic chuckle and everything inside him rumbles with glee and satisfaction.
He steals quick peeks over at you in the passenger seat, greedily taking in your appearance. “That’s not exactly how a throuple works, but I’ll let it pass. Mark never has time for us anyways.”
There is something so intimate about the late nights; the outside world is dead in its sleep and vulnerable to chaos. The streets are completely empty and it truly feels as if it’s you two against the city. It brings no regulations, easy escapes, staying up all night to feel something the day can’t give you.
You are the perfect person to spend them with. You’re the very definition of a good feeling, where he’s forgetting all his bad days and soaring through the heavens. The most accurate human form of excitement, the adrenaline and sweetest thrills that run throughout his body.
“There’s something I’ve always wanted to do…” As Donghyuck pulls into a gas station parking lot, the small convenient store is brightly lit with a blinding white sign that reads a popular chain establishment.
Hyuck blinks at you curiously, head tilt and waiting for you to finish your sentence. Getting out of the car, you stand on your toes and rest your chin on the roof of his car to speak directly to him, “you know that big intersection over on 34th Boulevard?” He catches the mischievous twinkle that shines in your eyes and a grin so fearless fits your face perfectly.
He nods, spinning his car keys on his finger and walking up to the store. But he’s looking back at you with eyes that ask for you to proceed with him, and you’re running towards him with a sudden youthful energy and a jump in your step.
Your hand latches onto his arm and his gaze drops momentarily to follow it, “I’ve always wanted to just run down the middle of it. To run down a busy traffic area when it’s empty, knowing that this would be the only opportunity to do it without getting run over.”
“Is that what you’re suggesting we should do next?” Hyuck opens the fridge and grabs his favorite prepackaged ice cream cone. Your grip on his sleeve tightens, your dazzling eyes never leaving his.
He hands you a random popsicle and you take it mindlessly, your train of thought still trying to convince Hyuck to embark on achieving this new thrill of yours. “If you didn’t have anything else planned…”
“Am I some Fairy Godmother? Granting your wishes to come true?” Using sarcasm to hide his undying desire to scream yes! may be the best thing he’s learned to utilize. However, you don’t need to beg any more when a small smile curves at his lips. He’s more than convinced.
“Ah, a happy couple. You two look great together.” The rather talkative cashier compliments while he rings up the icey treats.
Just before Hyuck can clarify, you’re pulling him closer by the arm and using your fake saccharine smile. “The best boyfriend ever!” His throat freezes, but he’s following your lead closely. Confusion wandering his thoughts, but heart swelling at your usage of the word boyfriend to reference him.
The friendly stranger laughs wholeheartedly at your giddy act, completely falling for your overplayed nature of a lovey dovey girlfriend. “He always buys me what I want, like this ice cream. He knows it’s my favorite.” You blink innocently up at him, but he finally understands your malicious motive.
Shooting a glare at you, he complies silently and pulls out his card to pay for both of your treats. “Right. Anything my baby wants.” He says the pet name so easily that it shocks him a bit.
“Hey, you’re a good man.” The clueless cashier smiles even wider and prints the receipt. With a simple gratitude, you both exit the store and you’re laughing the loudest form of mockery.
Jumping into the car, Hyuck is quick to roll his eyes. “He always buys me what I want.” He imitates your previous statement with a silly voice. “I can’t believe you robbed me.”
The ridiculous scheme actually managed to work, leaving your stomach to hurt from the intense fit of giggles. “My baby? Where did you learn that?” You say between your spurts of laughter.
Heat rises up his neck, slightly embarrassed. “So what? Nicknames are cute.” He admits bashfully, while shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly.
Your chuckles die down and you’re leaning over the middle console to get a closer look of his expression. “Really? Didn’t think you were the type. You never used them with your exes.”
“Around you.” A cringe runs down your spine when you witness Hyuck bite his ice cream, settling back in your seat with a grumble.
“Pet names in private.” Now, his palms grow a bit slick with perspiration. “That’s endearing.” Unwrapping your melting popsicle, you don’t probe him more about the subject. Instead, Hyuck turns up the stereo to drown out any more talk about romantic gestures.
After several rounds of finding street parking, Hyuck finally swerves into a spot situated just before the large six-way intersection. The traffic lights blink in view at the end of the street and in the darkness, there are no cars around. An unfamiliar scene, this place is nothing but a wide open road with five lanes that meet in the middle and lead to six different directions. The white painted lines that divide up the road are as chaotic as it looks during the day filled with traffic.
Nonetheless, you are right. There is no other chance to see it so dead, so empty, so free.
And you’re already hopping out of the car that Hyuck breaks his daydream and hurries after you. Standing the middle of the road is a dangerous scheme, yet these are the thrill seeking moments that you crave too well.
Extending your arm out and your palm facing the night sky, you grin enticingly at Hyuck to join you in the middle of the chaotic lines and the adrenaline picks up within him. He, too, matches your smile and lets every form of enthusiasm fuel him.
“Race you to the end.” Hyuck begins bolting down the long runway, causing you to scoff in disbelief at his sudden challenge.
The wind that takes flight against his body is crisp on his skin and driving his strands into a wild mess. Turning around, he sees that you’re quick on his tail. However, the one thing that catches his eye… the one thing that makes this moment another one of your most beautiful ones is the utter bliss and peace in your facial expression.
Eyes are closed and arms are spread out as if you’re letting the wind carry you away. The air slips between the spaces of your fingers and the night is filled with nothing, but your gentle out of breath giggles.
Donghyuck stops in his tracks right under the colorful traffic lights at your astonishing image. And if you are to open your eyes, you’ll see the marvelous image of your sun waiting for you in the middle of the largest intersection of the city with his mouth slightly agape and marked under a trance.
An exasperated sigh escapes as a puff of smoke and his heart works extra hard to pump oxygen in his veins. In his perspective, the excellent city skyline at the horizon remains your background and you’re running toward him with a breathless joy. Another splitting breathtaking image that will live in his mind for as long as he knows you.
So he throws caution to the wind and though it feels too good to be true, he loves his best friend more than anyone he’s ever come across.
By the end of your rendezvous, you two find a secret rooftop to fully enjoy your silent city. Standing side by side, you both lean with your elbows on the ledge.
There is something so unspoken and intimate about this very moment, where existing in each other’s presences becomes wholly more comfortable than anything in the world. And this safety allows for vulnerable secrets to spill, for questions that your heart has always been afraid to ask to fall from your lips.
But you’re not here with just anybody. Donghyuck probably knew what was already on your mind, he just needed you to speak them into existence.
“Hyuck, do you think I’m unlovable?”
Perhaps, it’s the intimacy that allows for him to talk more confidently about how he views you. Heart over mind, he scoffs in disbelief. “Absolutely not. You’re the most lovable person I know! From your happy giggles to your overall easy going aura. We’re not perfect people, but you’re worth every glance and every praise. I wanted to be with you the very moment you made me laugh.”
Donghyuck passionately rambles on about your attributes and everything you’ve allowed him to experience over the years of your friendship. While he’s always been there for you, you’re always by his side and making sure he’s living a memorable life. He thanks all his sweetest memories to you, that you are the most impactful person of his entire college experience.
“I came to college thinking I’d have my nose in textbooks all day long, but you fell into my life like an opportunity to escape. I love my nights trying to crush Mark on the leaderboards, but I’d give that up any day to run down a major intersection in the middle of the city with you.”
With a playful soft chuckle, you say something that practically makes his heart stop and regret oversharing. “You know, from how you describe me… it almost sounds like you’re in love with me.”
“Maybe I am.” He bites the inside of his cheek, unsure what suddenly overcame him. His heartbeat pounds in his ears and he’s anticipating your response, trying every way to decipher the quizzical look on your face. Nevertheless, your hesitation causes him to panic and he intercepts before you can respond. “I meant that as your friend.”
His heart drops into the pit of his stomach, gaze averting away from you. Lies. Lies. More fucking lies. He should’ve waited to see what you would’ve said.
Nodding knowingly, you lightly place your hand over his. The warmth of your touch soothes his aching and disappointment. Why is he hurting from a simple look? “I know.” He can’t tell what’s worse, the fact that you truly believe he only loves you as a friend or that you saw right through him and are trying to let him save face.
“Something happened the night of your birthday that I think I should tell you.” Hyuck sighs out all his frustrations.
He pulls his hand from underneath yours, “you asked me to kiss you as a birthday favor.” There is no confidence to watch your reaction, his eyes remain focused on the dark city.
Instead of a painstaking rejection, you laugh wholeheartedly and somehow, he feels much lighter. “And did you?”
“How could I say no to you on your birthday?” Peering over, your fingers softly graze your lips and a wandering look is present in your dazed stare.
“It’s not the first time we’ve kissed, Hyuck.” Smiling at him, Hyuck looks cluelessly at you and doesn’t recall another time. He would’ve remembered.
“Guess who I stole that same request from?” Your eye lashes bat firmly at him and he gulps at your implied question. There was no way.
“Me? When?” This all causes him to rack his brain of lost files, something he must’ve missed.
Sighing, you bid him a kind smile. “Your birthday party a few months ago. Drunk out of your living mind, you pulled me privately into the kitchen and asked if I could kiss you as a birthday gift.”
Fuck, no wonder why he couldn’t remember. He didn’t remember a single thing from that night. “It was right after my break up.”
Nodding, you affirm his realization. “You told me that you felt so lonely, and somehow…. someway… I’ve always made you feel seen. Perhaps, you do the same for me and my drunk ass was bold enough to ask for a similar request.”
But did you kiss him as if you loved him? With the same amount of love that he did the night of your birthday?
Nonetheless, you shrug off the topic and move on from it all. “We should go, the sun comes up in a few.”
Hyuck notes this odd detail. You’re not one to end the nights so abruptly, so it almost seemed as if you didn’t want to speak more about it.
Perhaps, you did kiss him like you meant it but every fear in your body about loving your best friend stops you from admitting it all.
Because you shouldn’t love your best friend, but something deep down has always wanted to.
Tumblr media
How ridiculous he was to believe that you could ever possibly share the same feelings as him. How foolish he felt the moment you burst into his apartment announcing how you’ve finally found the one after another random Tinder date.
It’s as the night on the rooftop a week ago didn’t even exist or mean anything to you. But that night ate him up alive, to the point where he sought out love counseling from Mark.
“Oh dude, this is serious.” Mark watches Hyuck pace the room, double around the floorplan with his head in his hands with utter frustration and confusion. You’re the only thing that’s been running through his mind the last few days.
He grunts and rolls his eyes at how Mark’s face had fallen sullen. “I practically confessed everything I loved about her. It’s pretty serious.”
Mark stands and stops Hyuck by the shoulders, looking dead into his eyes. “I’ve liked her before too and would have done some dumb act to get her to like me back. I get it, Hyuck. So, what do you want to do?”
Donghyuck initially scoffs and tears away from his best friend’s intense stare, “of course you liked her too.” His voice fades out at the end of his sentence. “Mark, I like her so much it’s hard to look at anyone else. She’s…”
“Mesmerizing?” Mark finishes his sentence with a small proud grin on his lips.
Hyuck couldn’t hold the ridiculous laugh that escapes at how smug Mark looks, but then a silence falls over him. He realizes how perfect that word is to describe you. You are every dazzling trance he’d fawn under.
“It’s wrong, Mark. She’s our best friend, I can’t ruin us.” Hyuck slumps his shoulders forward and a pout extends. His eyes are wandering the ugly carpet but he’s thinking about every moment you’ve smiled.
“How did this happen in the first place? I thought you never would’ve liked her…” Mark’s question has Hyuck raking his brain to find his epiphany. “It’s not about your ex, is it? y/n is way too good to be a rebound.”
“No. This has nothing to do with my old relationships, I genuinely like her… so much.” Hyuck understands the implications in Mark’s sudden abrasive questions. Even it’s difficult for himself to say how it all started and so this has Donghyuck reflecting back on his entire friendship with you.
If only he had noticed your lively smiles sooner, a little earlier, it would have saved him all this time searching for someone who would last. You’ve lasted through every college relationship he’s had and that speaks louder than any confession.
“I never liked her because I never thought I had a chance. Have you seen her? Our best friend who has 400 matches on Tinder.” Though he blames himself for realizing a little late that he loved you, it was always hard to compete with everyone else.
“So, what changed then?”
Hyuck leans against the door to Mark’s room and crosses his arms to contemplate. “Not that I have a chance now, but I can’t hold these feelings back anymore. I want to kiss her until we’re out of breath, to love without any conditions, to be the reason behind her every beautiful moment.”
Mark raises a confused eyebrow, “but you are.”
“The only reason.” Hyuck speaks his truest desires and Mark coughs aggressively before composing himself. Right, he didn’t stutter one bit.
So, Hyuck had planned to confess, all until you gave him the very reason he couldn’t. When you showed up unannounced with one of those wide grins that has your eyes shimmering with hope, he just knew something was wrong. All his love and future aspirations were replaced with sheer disappointment and envy.
“I’m falling hard for him.” You begin and your hands are clasped together so innocently. “He brought me to this overlook on a cliff and we just talked for ages. It felt so right and then, he asked to see me again!” Your eyes are completely wondrous and distracted, like the one thought in your mind blocked out everything else. Jumping happily, you’re squealing with excitement thinking about this new person in your life and there is no consideration of Hyuck’s silence.
“That’s… great.” He barely stutters to fill the air and to replace the sound of his heart breaking. He lost you before even getting the chance to even have you.
“I know right!” You yell joyfully and though your smile is the biggest it's ever been, Hyuck refuses to see this moment as beautiful. He’s no longer looking at you objectively, his bias tainting it all and he sees it in an ugly light. As your best friend, he should be happy for you and rooting for you. He’s known more than anyone else that you have been waiting for someone like this your whole college experience.
However, he can’t feel a single good emotion as you ramble on about your alleged one true love.
“Did you need something?” He cuts you off, growing a bit irritated by your endless praise about a man who never wishes to meet.
Clearing your throat, you take Hyuck’s hand in both of your palms. With begging eyes, you say, “my sister is getting married this weekend and they invited you.
His hold escapes yours as he walks toward his bedroom, “shouldn’t you invite your new man to your family events now.” It’s difficult for him to hide the bitterness in his voice, but you run up to him and grip his arm.
“But they think I’m dating you, remember? Plus, my mom referred to you by name. She really likes you.” You snicker, clearly not understanding why Donghyuck seems to be rather distant at the moment.
His ears perk up at the compliment and though it’s a selfish thought, he feels content knowing that he was able to win over your family. So, his heart burns at how your hand slowly travels down to intertwine with his own and how your chin rests on his shoulder lightly. His head turns and he is met a few inches away from your tender lips. For a brief moment, he’s staring at them longer than he should.
“Come on, Hyuck. Be mine for one more time.” Your whisper is gentle and soft, your breath tickling against his cheek. Despite everything, he loves how you make him feel. It’s always a mixture of happiness and safety. There are no fears with you because you’re absolutely fearless. He can’t imagine how he would’ve opened up without you around, that he puts every form of trust into you.
So, every little thing that you do. every single passing look. every touch and every spoken word. He falls harder for you every time you simply see him, every time you bat your eyelashes at him. And this love that festers inside of him feels easy and genuine. Perhaps, you’ve been his one true love all along. He’s never felt remarkably seen, where every part is exposed and right at your fingertips.
And you… have been so patiently waiting for just anyone to steal your heart. How can he let just anyone love you?
“I’m yours for however long you want me to be.” He lightly ruffles the top of your hair before slightly shrugging you off, afraid that your hold will eventually have him saying other sweet implications. “But don’t expect me to enjoy it.” He smirks at your small chuckle, the roll in your eyes.
“At least pretend.” But he really doesn’t have to. He enjoys every moment being yours.
When the day finally arrived, the grand wedding may have been another day that Hyuck will never forget how beautiful you looked. Prancing out in your bridesmaid dress, you run towards him through the large field of fake grass. He catches you when you jump into his arms, practically failing all over and tripping over the ends of your chiffon dress. He hits the ground, cushioning your fall.
“Hey..” you grin down at him breathless, hand resting perfectly on his chest as it was the night of your 21st again.
Hyuck gulps and sends you a glare, “I should have dropped you.”
“That would have been very chivalrous of you.” Sarcasm bites back at him as you push up and off of him. He’s quick on his feet and brushing off any dust from the bottom of your expensive dress, avoiding the long open slit that runs down to expose one leg.
“Donghyuck, you’re looking ravishing.” Your mother steps out, tall and prideful, but with the most delightful expression as she opens her arms to invite him into a hug.
He leans into it, while cautiously making suspicious eye contact with you. You shrug back, also confused at why your mother has a sudden change in demeanor. “It’s been so long since the holidays.”
“It’s a pleasure to see you again.” He bids your mother a respectful smile when she pulls away, to which she absolutely fawns at and you’re tugging at his sleeve to drag him away.
“The pleasure is all mine. You make y/n a better person.” And there is no context that Hyuck understands this single phrase before he’s walking away from your force. Your mother waves a small sweet goodbye as she watches you two leave behind a cobblestone wall behind the large reception building.
It’s covered in long vines that grow up the old stones, a beautiful background for an outdoor wedding. “Rude.” He whispers when you finally stop pulling him away.
“She was starting to say odd things.” You laugh, quite nervously actually. Nonetheless, you shake out of your nerves and a beaming expression replaces your troubles. “So, guess what? I’m meeting my man afterwards.” Yet again, the curve of your lips at the thought of another rumbles his own yearning heart.
Shoving his hands into his pockets, he looks down while kicking at the loose pebbles on the ground. “Good for you.” grumbles Donghyuck mindlessly.
You don’t notice his low spirits again, you’re talking away about this man as if he’s all you’re consumed with nowadays. On and on, the same speech about how you’re practically ready to give it your all and how he fits someone unimaginable. Eventually, Donghyuck becomes fed up by how your eyes blink up to the sun with another reflection in them. “It’s like you forget who you are when you’re with someone new.”
And you’re in mid-ramble when you hear his harsh comment that picks aggressively at your skin. It stings, “what?” You cross your arms defensively and raise an eyebrow at him. The tone in your voice is jarringly upset and he opened a can of worms that he isn’t ready for.
Donghyuck swears underneath his breath, looking away at the tall trees behind the small parking lot. “Forget it.” He mumbles, rather frustrated at himself for ticking you off.
“What are you implying?”
“There is someone that actually makes you a better person rather than someone completely different.” He scoffs, his emotions fueling the worst of him. The words flow from his mouth full of anger and spitefulness.
Your eyes narrow at him, crossing your arms defensively. “Like you can give me the love you think I deserve? This whole fake boyfriend gimmick has gone too much to your head.”
And his heart is bursting at the seams and all he can see is your angry expression, so he says something he never hopes to regret. Every impulse beats his rationality and in the heat of the moment, Donghyuck confesses, “if only you can see yourself from my point of view and all the emotions I feel when I look at you.”
With a sharp intake of breath, you’re slightly shocked at his bold statement. You blink cluelessly at him, speechless and deciphering how to respond. The anger fades from the both of you, knowing that the connection you two possess is mutual. Somewhere deep down within you, a light switches on and you’re basking in your sun’s radiance in this moment.
“Tell me about it.” Your curiosity brings much confusion, but he doesn’t wait a second of hesitation.
“Happiness, you light up my nights in dark cars with your smile. Trust, there is no one else I’d run down a dangerous intersection with. Courage, being bold enough to dance in a crowded room like no one was watching. Love, when kissing you felt incomparable to anything else in the world. Vulnerability, looking at you and knowing everything about you.”
Donghyuck takes a cautious step forward toward you. A whirl of thoughts and emotions overwhelmingly flood your heavy mind, but fear no longer holds you back from the one person you’ve always wished to love, harder than any person you’ve ever encountered. “Donghyuck.”
He freezes at the call of his name, waiting patiently for your next words. “I want to love me the way that you love me... because nobody loves me like you do… even myself. So, I’d love to see me from your point of view.”
Donghyuck releases the sigh that suffocates him and every firework lights up in his chest. His eyes wander across your canvas and absorb everything wondrous about your features. Even though you’re not entirely smiling, you’re puckering your lips cutely out of embarrassment. And he reassesses how pretty you simply look in your expensive formal chiffon dress and the bold color on your lips that has made you feel good before.
He thinks aloud, the words leaving his mouth before they can be stopped. “This is your most beautiful moment.”
When you’re looking up at him to meet his dreamy gaze, a new enthusiasm washes over your entire body. Looking rather inexplicably attractive in his suit, Hyuck stares at you as if you’re all he can see. So, you pull him into the only source of gratitude you can give. A kiss that gives every emotion back to him, one that resembles closely to the one he gave you on your birthday and the one you gave him for his.
An emotional kiss that tells him more than he can see. He feels it on the tip of your tongue and every ounce of love that rushes over the both of you.
***********
Donghyuck’s wandering hands travel down your waist, over your hips, all until it reaches in between the slit of your dress. His hand instinctively grips at your naked thigh, the feeling of your raw skin driving him wild with impure thoughts. Your hands are quick on his tie, loosening it from around his collar and unbuttoning the first few as you’ve done once before.
“Can,-- Is it okay if--?” Hungry eyes search his face for confirmation, but you’re so lust driven that you’re a stuttering mess. “Do you want this?”
“Yes.” Says Hyuck without any hesitation. Taking his hand, you’re quick to lead him inside to a more secluded part of the venue. The lavish private bathrooms are brightly lit and he lifts you on top of the marble counters.
“The reception starts in 20 minutes.” You moan as Hyuck kisses down your neck hastily, a hand up the slit of your dress to push your panties aside.
“We’ll make it quick then. I’ll show you love another day.” His knuckle lightly grazes against your erect clit and your grip on his shoulder tightens. Whimpers fall from your lips as your hips mindlessly grind into his hand. “Never took you the type to be so loud.” Hyuck raises an eyebrow and tilts his head mockingly at you.
“This isn’t even close to how loud I can get.” Your statement causes him to swallow hard. Being your best friend, he has kept a rather clear mind from any sexual attraction toward you. He had to know he loved you in order to even see you in that way.
Gathering your slick, he rubs your clit with two fingers before dipping them into your hole. You lean back into the mirror and prop your feet on the counter to spread open for Hyuck to see. “You let all these idiots fuck your pretty pussy? They don’t deserve you, as a person or a potential partner.” He fingers you deeper and with flicking motions, he hits your sweet spot and causes you to jolt.
“Please, just fuck me. I’ve always wondered how good you’d feel.” His eyes twinkle at your bashful confession, but understands your lustful desires even for your own best friend.
“You think about fucking me?” He asks abruptly, taking his fingers out to suck your juices clean from them. A coined flattered smirk appears on his lips as he unbuckles his belt.
You’re averting eye contact, “well no, maybe just once. I get horny when I’m drunk sometimes.” You admit and he’s rushing to take himself out of his restrictive dress pants. His dick hits the air and he adjusts closer to your dripping core.
And he enters, slowly and slowly inching in so you can adhere to his size. You bite back every yell of pleasure and grip the ends of his dress shirt. Hyuck fills you up deliciously, and you two are connected through bodies beyond any way before. He leans in to give you a sloppy, yet passionate kiss before dragging out his hips and pushing them back in.
There is no guilt, no pain, no sorrows. Knowing Hyuck, he fucks you in the same way he wishes to love you. His hips drive into you passionately and quickly. The time crunch being something that causes him great distraction, but his heart is swelling simply feeling your warmth wrap around him so well.
“My baby is so tight.” Pet names in private. A small grin appears on your face at the sound of the sweet nickname and you pull him closer by tugging his shirt.
“Harder, Hyuck. Don’t hold back anymore.” Moan after moan, Hyuck relentlessly drills into you. His arm is hooked underneath your left thigh to keep it up, and your head keeps banging against the mirror.
Your eyes roll back when his thumb rubs circles on your aching clit. The mixture of both pleasures stimulate you until the build up tension in your stomach begins to reach its peak.
“Cum, I know you fucking want to.” He grunts, keeping the same rhythm that pushes you over your edge. Your walls squeeze around him tightly as your legs shake sporadically from your release. You’re smart to cover your mouth, knowing that the bathroom will only echo your erotic sounds. Your chest rises and falls from the momentum and adrenaline that Hyuck helped you reach, breathlessly trying to calm your heart rate down.
After a few more harsh bumps, he pulls out and motions you forward. Jumping off of the counter, you kneel on the ground and suck his tip lightly. Your swirls are enough for him to empty into your mouth, his hot streams of salty liquid hitting the back of your throat. He looks down at you and your wide eyed expression with his cock in your mouth drives him overboard.
And you swallow, getting up to lightly plant a sweet kiss on his cheek. A lip stain being worn proudly for just a moment.
“You amaze me.” Hyuck whispers, holding you against his flushed body and fast paced heart beat.
“Hurry out you two!” A voice startles the both of you with a knock on the door and you two are quick to readjust yourselves. He hopes to love you a little longer next time, without any interruptions.
***********
After the glorious and excruciating long wedding, you’re walking Hyuck to his car in the small parking lot. During the rest of the night, he held your hand the whole way through and the love that he looked at you with was more than real.
He talked with your distant relatives as if he’s always known them. Hyuck conducted the dinner table, always knowing what to say. There was no doubt in your head that seeing Donghyuck in the aftermath, he was always going to be someone who was going to make things better.
The love you long searched for, the love that you had been too afraid to touch, intertwined itself so lovingly underneath the white table cloth. Donghyuck is the one and it took needing to see him a bit more to realize. A little more acceptance from the both of you had to be the final straw.
Donghyuck sheepishly scratches the back of his neck when you reach his car, unsure where the path of your friendship will diverge to next. “Have fun on your date then…” His voice trails off, kicking the rocks at his feet again.
There goes your melodic laughter that soothe his aching heart and the familiar gentle grip on his fingertips. You lift his chin up, the both of you seeing each other clearly now.
From his perspective, you’re absolutely dazzling in the low light and butterflies swirl in the pit of his stomach. He can look at you forever, until months turn into years. He can love you until you two grow old. You’re his fearless, beautiful, inexplicably marvelous best friend. And he patiently waits for the day you’ll let him finally be yours.
From your perspective, Donghyuck shines even when the night overtakes the sky and possibly, the warmth in your heart bubbles across your chest. You can stay with him forever, until months turn into years. You can trust him like it’s you two against the world. He is your silly, charming, timidly benevolent best friend. And you’re slowly falling and hoping for the day you get to be his.
“I’m not going to see him anymore. He’s not the one.” Hyuck blinks at you, full of confusion and shock.
“But you sounded so happy.” His voice gets lost in the stillness of the intimate atmosphere.
“No, Hyuck. You make me happy and I’ll say it again for you to hear me. Nobody loves me like you do.” Reaching up, your hand caresses his cheek and he falls into your palm lovingly. His heart runs a mile, reaching the greatest high he’s ever going to feel. He hopes his eyes don’t deceive him, but the utter perfection on your face makes him feel whole.
You wish that Hyuck can teach you to love yourself the way that he loves you.
“Take me home?”
“How could I ever say no?”

Synopsis: you are Peters greatest love and Spider-Man’s greatest enemy
Series Masterlist
Tumblr media
With Carnage’s weight on top of you, you couldn’t really move. You didn’t have the room to shift into Venom and you were starting to lose consciousness.
“You think you can beat me? You shouldn’t have even come. I’ll win this fight in no time.” Carnage laughed and easily pinned you down. You tried to break free but couldn’t. You could only watch as Carnage unhinged his jaw and bent down to bite your head off.
“Incoming!” You heard a triumphant call from above you. Spider-Man swung down on a web and kicked Carnage off of you. Carnage went tumbling back before landing on his feet and growling.
“Taser web!” Peter announced and shot another web at Carnage. It landed on his body and electrocuted him, promptly knocking him off the building. Peter quickly ran to you as you shifted back to yourself.
“Are you alright?” He panicked as he helped you up. You groaned a little at the dull ache throughout your body. You were a little sore but ultimately okay.
“I’m alright.” You answered. “Nice shot, lover.”
“Thank you. I’m still mad at you for that break up scare.” Peter joked as he dusted you off.
“Understandably so.” You laughed as Venom healed your wounds.
“But I’m still gonna help you kick Carnage’s ass.” Peter followed up. “Since you believe in me and all.”
“I do. But maybe a little less with the teen romance cliches and a little more with the killing of the deadly Alien?” You teased as Peter seemed to forget the situation you were in.
“Right.” He nodded curtly. “On it.
Carnage had climbed back up the building and was ready for more. Peter got into fighting stance and you transformed into Venom.
“Do you think this fight is off the record for my article?” You asked as Carnage swung at you. You ducked and swiped at his knees. He howled in pain before turning to Peter and charging.
“I think once someone tries to eat you, it’s free reign.” Peter called as he dodged punches from Carnage. You were impressed. Peter was putting up a good fight.
Carnage turned back to you and punched you in the gut. You retaliated by punching him in the jaw and ripping at his outer layer of skin to reveal Cletus inside.
“Cletus, you can stop this. You don’t have to be a killer anymore.” You yelled desperately.
“I’ve always been a killer, baby. You can’t change me now.” He laughed and bonded back with Carnage. Carnage kicked you in the stomach and sent you tumbling off the building. You fell freely for a moment before shooting a web and slowly lowering yourself to the ground. Peter dove off the building after you after hitting Carnage with several taser webs.
“Are you okay?” You panted as you turned back into yourself. You almost couldn’t believe you were having the biggest battle of your life with a boy you once delivered mail to. Peter took off his mask and went to check if you were okay.
“I am.” He nodded. “Are you?”
“I’m nervous, Pete.” You confessed. “He’s a lot stronger than us. There’s a lot on the line here.”
“I know.” Peter sighed. “But we’re Spiderman and Venom. We can do anything as long as we’re together.
“Alright Tiger. Save that energy for our wedding vows.” You teased him to lighten the mood. “Do we have a strategy?”
“I was thinking you keep fighting him and I pretend I’m dead down here. You can weaken him and then I’ll spring up there and ambush him. It’ll be a sneak attack. We’re gonna Trojan horse this son of a bitch.” Peter said excitedly. You laughed at his eagerness.
“That’s not really a Trojan horse. Nothing is inside anything.” You pointed out.
“You’re inside us.” Venom said as she came out in her snake like form. Peter pointed at her.
“Blammo.” He nodded. “Trojan horse. See, Venom gets it.”
He and Venom high fived, finally getting along.
“Impeccable plan Peter. We’re starting to like you. We don’t want to eat your liver as much anymore.” Venom complimented. Peter looked terrified.
“You wanted to eat my liver?!” He gasped.
“And kidneys.” Venom stated. Peters eyes went even wider.
“That’s enough. Trojan horse on three?” You asked. Everyone put their hands in the middle. Well, you and Peter put your hands and Venom put a tendril.
“One. Two. Three.” You counted. You broke and mentally prepared yourself for what was to come. Peter shot a web at the neighboring building and slid up it, upside down, like a spider. You laughed at his action, though it seemed completely normal to him. You felt a sudden sadness strike your heart at the sight of him. This could potentially be a deadly situation.
“Peter, wait.” You said suddenly.
Peter slid down his web and waited. He was still upside down but you didn’t mind.
“If we don’t make it out of this, I want you to know that I’m sorry. I’m sorry I broke up with you when I found out your secret. I didn’t know how great of a team we’d make.”
“It’s okay, Y/n. I still loved you even when I was mad at you. Nothing you can say or do will ever change how I feel. I told you, I love you more than anything. Even when you broke my heart and insulted my Star Wars bedsheets.” You opened your mouth to laugh but you were interrupted by Carnage roaring from the top of the Oscorp building.
“That’s our cue.” Peter said, getting ready to slide back up his web.
“Wait.” You said again. You approached him cautiously and carefully rolled his mask down just below his nose. Peter stayed perfectly still.
“Be safe.” You whispered, and pressed a kiss to his lips. It was a bit awkward seeing as he was upside down but it was still perfect. It would always be perfect as long as it was Peter. Peter kissed you back to the best of his ability, putting his hand on the back of your head for support, until he needed to breath.
“If I don’t make it back, know that I love you.” You said tearfully as you rolled his mask back down.
“If you don’t make it back? Wait, Y/n-“ Peter was about to protest so you pressed another kiss to his covered mouth before shooting a web towards the top of the building and flying upwards. You landed with grace and transformed into Venom. Carnage smiled a toothy grin at the sight of you.
“You can still join us Venom! There’s nothing we can’t do! You’re no different from us. Don’t act like you are.”
“We may be no different, but we are better.” You answered firmly.
“Fine. Be that way. Sorry it had to come to this.” Carnage said, though it sounded more like Cletus speaking. Carnage pulled out a match and looked down at your feet. You followed his gaze and noticed you were standing a in puddle.
“Gasoline.” You said fearfully. Carnage knew your weakness. He had that big terrible smirk on his face. But you saw something in his eyes that his smile wasn’t telling you. Fear. He was afraid. You tried to form a plan as quickly as you could.
“Some people just want to sit back and watch that world burn.” Carnage drawled. He lit the match and flicked it at you. You quickly jumped out of the way as the fire roared to life. Carnage seemed as eager to stay away from it as you were. There was now a large fire at the center of the rooftop and you and Carnage circled around it.
“Carnage told me that sound is dangerous to symbiotes.” Cleatus said suddenly. “Did you know that?”
“Sound will hurt you too.” Venom growled. “Don’t do anything stupid.”
“I did something smart, actually.” Carnage said as he pulled out a remote. “I brought ear plugs.”
With that, he pressed the remote and the speakers on the roof began to emit a shrill sound. Your whole body shook and you could feel yourself separating from Venom.
“Hold on!” Venom cried. You did you best to stay together but the sound was too powerful.
“I can’t.” You yelled. Venom shot out of your body and you slumped to the ground. Carnage charged towards Venom, who was nothing but goo and picked her up. Then, he threw her like a frisbee into the night. You had no idea where or how far away she landed.
“No!” You cried. You panicked briefly before assessing the situation. You and Venom had been separated before and Venom found her way back to you. You didn’t die last time because you didn’t have any fatal injuries. All you had to do was stall until Venom made her way back. As long as Carnage didn’t injury you that badly, you could survive. The problem was, you were now weaker, slower, and had absolutely no fighting skills. Carnage was surely going to use that to his advantage. Carnage stalked over to you and raised a claw, ready to swipe.
“Any last words?” He growled. You suddenly remembered something.
“Yes. Thank God for Tony Stark.” You answered and pressed a hand against your chest. Your suit formed around your body and covered you like a second skin. Carnage looked surprised at your action. It wasn’t much but at least you had some protection until Venom came back.
“You think your little suit will protect you? Nothing will protect you from me. Now, you and Venom are gonna watch each other die all because you were too selfish to join our side.” Carnage sneered. You took notice to how Carnage “me” and not “we.”
“Venom isn’t even here.” You spat. Carnage hesitated.
“Cletus, I told you the plan was to separate Venom and Y/n so we could kill them in front of each other. What did you do with Venom?” Carnage asked in an annoyed tone.
“I’m sorry boss. I forgot. I tossed it off the building.” Cletus’s voice answered sheepishly. You watched them carefully. Their relationship wasn’t like yours and Venoms. It wasn’t equal.
“You ruined the plan. Just like you ruin everything. You’re pathetic! You’re nothing! You can’t do a single thing right!” Carnage yelled.
“I’m sorry boss.” Cleatus whimpered.
“I’ll do it myself.” Carnage growled.
Carnage turned back to you and grabbed you by the throat. He raised you up and dangled you over the edge of the building. You had done this exact thing to Peter so many times and now it was coming back to haunt you. You looked down at your dangling legs and saw the long way down to the ground. The fall was a certain death. You didn’t see Peter anywhere and you knew it was because he was on the other side of the building, waiting to sneak attack. You looked back at Carnage with tears in your eyes.
“You don’t have to do this, Cletus. I know you think Carnage is in charge, but he doesn’t have to be. You don’t have to be his puppet anymore. You can separate from him and we’ll kill him together. I’ve done it before. Please, be human. Don’t be a monster. You don’t have to kill me.” You pleaded to Cletus, hoping he would hear your through Carnage’s body.
“He will never separate from me, fool. I own him. He’s nothing without me.” Carnage growled.
“It doesn’t have to be this way, Cletus. You said you can’t change, but I know you can. I believe in you and I know you’re capable of doing the right thing. You don’t have to be a killer anymore. You can be a hero. The city will love you if you protect them from Carnage. I’ll write the story myself.” You tried again. Carnage tightened his grip around your neck. You were losing the ability to see and breath. But you could sense something. Hestitation. You might’ve been getting through to Cletus.
“Shut up!” Carnage shouted. His hands suddenly felt weaker around your throat.
“You told me you were glad I was telling your side of the story. This is your chance to change your story. Rewrite the ending. You can be the hero this time.” You begged one last time.
“He will never be the hero. I didn’t make him a killer. He always was. And that’s all he’ll ever be. Now, any last words?” Carnage asked with a grin. You noticed him faltering. There seemed to be an internal struggle going on.
“Yes. Do you know what the capital of Thailand is?” You asked the through short breaths. You were going to die of asphyxiation before he even dropped you.
“What?” Carnage asked, visibly puzzled.
“Bangkok.” You said through gritted teeth as you swiftly kicked him in the crotch. Carnage doubled over and let you go. You plopped on the ground, right near the edge, and gasped for air. Carnage recovered quickly and let out a low chuckle.
“Clever girl. Bangkok. And you hit me in my…whatever. You think a kick to the groin is gonna stop me? Nothing can. The world will know my name.” Carnage declared. He picked you up and threw you across the roof. You tumbled and groaned in pain. Little bits of gravel stuck to your face and hair. Carnage ran to you and kicked you in the stomach. You wheezed and barely had time to recover before he punched you in the face. You felt the metallic taste of blood filling in your mouth. You heard his evil laugh amongst the blaring sound of the speakers. He straddled you and pounded relentlessly onto your face with a series of blows. His huge claws left your face battered and bloody. He raised his sharp claws in the air and plunged them into your body. The suit deflected the claws as well as it could, but they couldn’t fully stop them from entering your body. You felt the full pain of his sharp claws in your abdomen. You were so weak, you couldn’t even scream. Carnage gave you another hit to the jaw, knocking your face to the side and you began to see double. Double…Spidermen?
“Didn’t anyone ever tell you a woman should never be hit, not even with a flower?” Peters voice rang through your ears. Through your blurry vision you saw a taser web hit Carnage in the chest and electrocute him. Peter pounced on Carnage and punched him several times in his face, feeling absolutely no fear at all. Peter felt one thing, rage.
“Don’t you ever touch her again.” Peter growled in a voice you had never heard before. Carnage got up and began to fight Peter back. You wanted badly to get up and help, but you were too weak. You could only watch as Carnage ultimately began to win the fight against Peter. You felt hot tears streaming down your face, along with the blood running from your nose, mouth, and forehead.
“Don’t hurt him.” You cried weakly as Carnage swiped at Peter, leaving a deep scratch in his chest. Peter fell to the ground. You managed to drag yourself over to him just enough to see him. He was unconscious, as expected. His masked eyes were closed. Your heart ached for him.
“Come on Peter.” You wheezed. “Come on Spider-Man.”
The eyes on Peters mask snapped open and he jumped up. He immediately dodged a punch from and kicked Carnage in the chest with full force. You watched them fight and heard a slinking sound form behind you. You still couldn’t move your body, but you could stretch your arm out and felt around the ground. You felt something warm touch your hand.
“We got you baby. It’s gonna be okay.” Venoms voice sounded in your head. You let out a happy laugh of relief.
“You came back.” You said weakly but happily.
“We will always come back.” Venom assured. You felt your body beginning to heal. The puncture wounds in your chest closed and your face stopped bleeding. After just a minute, you were able to stand up. You grabbed the remote and shut the speakers off. You saw Carnage about to throw a punch at Peter so you quickly shot a web at his fist and pulled. Carnage looked at you, not expecting you to be alive still. His fist never made contact with Peter, who was looking at you with adoration. You could tell, because his mask was torn and one of the masks eyes was broken. You could see tears in his soft brown eyes. You transformed into Venom and yanked on your web with your full strength. He flew towards you and was met with a hard punch. He laid on the ground in pain and you ran to Peter to check if he was okay.
“Hey.” You breathed out. Venoms face opened up to reveal your own so you could talk to Peter. You wanted to run into his arms and apologize to him. You wanted to hold him and never let him go.
“Hi.” He said shyly. You felt like you and him had this exchange a thousand times. This time felt different. He was so close to you but he felt worlds away.
“Thanks for saving me. The Trojan Horse plan worked.” You complimented.
“It wouldn’t have worked if you didn’t put up such a good fight.” Peter said back. You smiled fondly at him, turning completely back into yourself now.
“I’m so sorry for what I’ve put you through. The breakup and now this.” You shrugged sadly. “I hate seeing him hurting you. And I hate hurting you myself even more. I’m so sorry Peter. I’m so so sorry.”
The fight wasn’t looking good. You wanted to tell Peter everything in case you didn’t get the chance later.
“Don’t do that. Don’t act like we’re saying goodbye. We will win this, Y/n. This isn’t goodbye.” Peter said firmly, taking a step towards you. You looked at him weakly.
“But if it is…”
“It isn’t.” He interrupted.
“But if it is.” You said, taking his hands in yours. “I need you to know that you are absolutely the one I want to be with. I promise that if we make it out of this alive, I will never leave your side again. And if we die-“
“We won’t.” He interrupted again.
“But if we do, it’ll be okay.” You smiled sadly. “Because if I die by your side then I died in my favorite place to be. I love you, Peter Parker. I need you to know that. Can you repeat that back to me so that I know you know?”
“I’m not doing this. We aren’t going to die, Y/n. This is-“
“Please.” You interjected. Peter sighed deeply and took off his mask.
“You love me.” He repeated. You reached up and touched his face.
“How much?” You asked quietly. He looked up at the sky to keep from crying.
“More than I’ll ever wrap my head around.” He answered, quoting the song you had sang to him earlier that day. It felt like a million years ago.
“That’s right.” You smiled at him, despite the ache in your chest. Ever since the first time he said hello to you, you hoped he’d never say goodbye. And though neither of you wanted to admit it, this was your goodbye.
You stared at each other momentarily before Peter began to lean in for a kiss. You leaned in as well, but were violently yanked back by a firm grasp. Carnage spun you around and punched you in the face. Peter ran to your aid but Carnage knocked him in the head with a with a steel rod. Peter fell limply to the ground.
“Peter!” You cried out, and immediately clamped a hand over your mouth. Carnage wasn’t supposed to know his identity. You tried to go to Peter but Carnage held you down. He looked at Peters unmasked face and laughed.
“Wow. I never would’ve guessed that Spider-Man was just a little boy.” Carnage laughed. He put up a pretty good fight. But not good enough.”
He went over to Peter and punched him abruptly, rendering him unconscious.
“Stop!” You cried. “It’s me you want! Not Spider-Man. You said you’d leave him alone.”
“Cletus said he’d leave him alone. And Cletus has no power.” Carnage answered. You stared at Carnage with rage before letting out a little laugh. Your laugh grew louder and Carnage looked at you with confusion.
“What’s funny?” Carnage demanded. You continued to laugh.
“That’s it. That’s your weakness. Cletus has no power. Carnage controls Cletus like a puppet master and Cletus has no say. I should’ve known that’s how your relationship worked. It makes total sense.” You said as you stood up and slowly approached Carnage.
“Why does that make sense?” Carnage asked. You shrugged.
“Because Cletus is boring.” You said simply.
“What? I’m not boring.” Cletus’s voice came out. You smirked as your plan began to work.
“Yes, you are. You bonded with a killer symbiote and what did you do with it? Kill people. Boring.” You said in a sing song voice. Then you faked a yawn. “I bonded with a killer symbiote and together, we killed bad guys and made the city safer. We saved Earth from Carlton Drake and now, we clean up New York. That’s pretty unexpected of us, wouldn’t you agree Venom?” You asked. Venom swirled around your hand and nodded.
“Absolutely. Very unexpected of us.” She said eagerly. Carnage looked lost.
“I can’t say I’m surprised though. Cletus has always been boring. Right Venom?”
You asked Venom again.
“Right again, baby.” Venom responded. Carnage’s face opened up to reveal Cletus’s beet red one.
“I’m not boring! I’m a serial killer! That’s not boring!” He yelled. You watched as Carnage struggled to take over Cletus’s face again. He lost the battle, and Cletus shifted back into himself. You had never seen him standing before. He was shorter than you thought.
“A boring serial killer. You’re literally the most generic and prolific serial killer I’ve ever seen. Let’s see, you’re a white male in his mid to late thirties who killed women who resembled the girl who broke his heart in high school. Boring. I just described about a thousand serial killers. I mean, killing women who looked like someone who wronged you? Please. That’s an incredibly common motivation.” You faked another yawn just to rile him up.
“It’s so common, one might even call it boring.” Venom taunted. Cletus looked furious.
“Shelly broke my heart. She deserved to die. That’s not boring!” He yelled at you. You turned your back to him and smiled.
“How did Shelly break your heart? I always wondered. It didn’t say anything about it in your file. Just something about a…school dance?” You asked as if you didn’t know the answer. Cletus face reddened with embarrassment.
“A spring fling.” He muttered. You could tell he was reliving the memory by the look on his face.
“That’s right. A spring fling. What happened? Did she reject you?” You asked curiously. Cletus looked haunted by the memory. He merely nodded.
“Did you know that with a simple google search I could find out the names of your classmates in high school? I didn’t find anyone named Shelly but I did find a Michelle.” You told him. “Michelle Jameson. Does that name sound familiar?” Cletus’s eyes snapped to you and saw tears forming in them. You smiled directly to his face.
“Michelle.” He whispered.
“You asked Michelle to dance that night, didn’t you? But Michelle didn’t want to dance with you, did she Cletus? She wanted to dance with Tobey Garfield. Because after all, Tobey was the captain of the football team, played the drums in the school band, and made high honor roll every year. And you, you were just-“
“Boring.” He finished your sentence. “She called me boring. The whole class heard. They all laughed at me. I was humiliated.” He said, tears rolling down his cheeks. He suddenly looked angry. “I wanted her to pay.”
“And you made her pay. 17 times with all the women you killed. But they never filled that empty hole that Shelly left, did they? Nothing could fill that hole. Nothing until-“
“Carnage.” He finished your sentence again.
“Yes. And Carnage promised you great things, didn’t he? Things like world domination and revenge. I bet he even promised you no one would ever laugh again.” You said cautiously. You had him right where you wanted him. Cletus nodded sadly.
“But he didn’t live up to those promises, did he? He ordered you around, made you call him boss, degraded you. He said you were a team but you weren’t.” You shook your head. “He was always in charge and you just had to go along with anything he said. Am I right?” You asked. Cletus looked at you.
“Exactly right.” He said.
“That’s not what it’s like with me and Venom, you know. We’re a team. Equals. We don’t control each other. I protect her and she protects me. Does Carnage protect you?” You asked compassionately. Cletus shook his head.
“He makes me feel worse.” Cletus cried. You put your hand on his shoulder.
“Cletus, if you kill me, your story will never come out. No one will ever know the pain you went through.” You spoke softly. “You can stop this. You can take back the control.”
Cletus looked at you hopefully for a moment. His eyes quickly faded back to fear.
“No I can’t. I will never have control.” He said sadly before merging back into Carnage. You gasped in fear and turned into Venom. You and Carnage fought again. He wrestled you to the ground and pulled Venom away from your face. He brought his fist down many times until your nose was broken and bleeding. Everything ached, even your teeth. Your eyes were swollen shut and you couldn’t see. You thought you were going to die right there, but Carnage was knocked off of you by a blow to the head with a steel pipe. Peter stood above Carnage with the pipe still in hand. Carnage pounced on Peter for the second time and began to throw him around like a rag doll. He beat Peter senseless and tossed him off the roof like garbage. You let out a silent scream. Carnage went back to you and delivered another blow to your gut. He dragged your towards the fire by your leg and held your leg close to the flame. Venom retracted back into your skin, exposing your leg. Carnage took the opportunity to snap your leg at the calf. You screamed in pain. He stepped on your broken leg and you nearly passed out from the feeling. It felt like your leg was on fire, and for all you knew, it could’ve been. You spat in his face with with acid spit but he dodged it.
“Beg for mercy.” He demanded.
“We will never beg a man for anything.” You spat in his face again, this time hitting him and burning him. Carnage picked up your hand and put it in the flame. Again, Venom retracted and your flesh was exposed. Carnage broke your hand and you let out another scream. He picked you up and threw you over the flame. You landed hard on your side and felt Venom slipping back into your body.
“We’re losing.” You cried.
“We know. We’re trying to heal you as fast as we can. Just hold on, baby.” Venom said desperately. You nodded as you watched Carnage approaching you again. You braced yourself and cradled your broken hand. He picked you up again and this time, sent you tumbling through the fire. Venom completely retreated into your body as you rolled. You suit was beginning to disperse as well, leaving patches of skin exposed here and there. Carnage targeted those spots and dug his claws into them. You let out a cry of pain. You knew you couldn’t last much longer. You couldn’t stand because of your broken leg, so you began to roll yourself towards the edge.
“Oh, I see. You want to see your boyfriend. Alright. Go ahead.” Carnage cackled as he kicked you off the building on the same side Peter was tossed off of. You landed on the ground and heard several ribs crack. You scooted yourself up against a wall and held your broken hand against your body.
“Venom, what’s happening?” You wheezed. You felt pain with every breath you took.
“You’re getting hurt faster than we can heal you. You need to stay here and rest for a few minutes so you can heal. It’s absolutely vital that you don’t go back up there. You will die almost instantly if we’re separated again.” Venom answered. Your odds weren’t good. You had troubled catching your breath and figured your lung had collapsed. You were in critical condition. Your whole body hurt. Everything inch of you was either broken, bloody, or bruised. You slowly felt your lung inflate and your leg beginning to heal. But you still had a million other injuries that would require more time. You looked around and noticed Peters body near you, conscious but not moving.
“Peter?” You gasped for air.
“Stay still! We’re not even close to done!” Venom ordered. You ignored her and dragged yourself with one arm to over to Peter. He stirred but was too injured to move. His fingers twitched as he attempted to reach out and touch you.
“Stop moving! You’re dying!” Venom pleaded. You suddenly heard ambulance sirens wailing and noticed a police man just a few yards away. If you could muster enough strength to shout you could be taken to a hospital. You looked between the police man and Peter.
“Peter is dying.” You croaked. Peters eyes were open but you could hear his heartbeat. Your biggest fear was coming true.
You gave the police man one last look before uncurling your broken hand from underneath you and placing it on Peters shoulder. The simple move sent your body through worlds of pain.
“Go.” You whispered. Venom knew what you meant and would never dream of complying, but and she also knew there was no use arguing.
“We love you.” She stated. She sounded miserable.
“And I love you.” You responded, doing your best to sound happy for her.
With that, Venom left your body and went into Peters. Peters body began to stir again as you felt yours beginning to shut down. You watched as cuts on his face healed and he gradually gained more movement in his body. You could hear his heart beat return to normal and you sighed happily against the pavement. You watched in joy as Peters body sprang up, as if he was pulled on a string. It reminded you of when you first bonded with Venom.
Peter transformed into Venom and began to climb the tower. You watched as the two people you loved the most ran to freedom, leaving you on the pavement to die. Your vision began to fade from red, to white, to black. You could see the outlines of some people standing before you.
“Oh, isn’t she lovely?” A woman’s voice said.
“She’s beautiful. I can see why our son loves her.” A mans voice answered.
“Now, you know if Peter heard you say that he’d object and say that women are more than their looks.” Another’s mans voice said with a chuckle. He sounded older than the first man. The man and woman laughed.
“Of course. May taught him well.” The first mans voice said. Your eyes drooped as you saw one last figure approach you. You could only see their shoes.
“Y/n?” The voice asked. The voice was soft and sweet. You didn’t recognize it at first, but it sounded so familiar.
“Y/n? Is that you baby?” The voice asked again. You forced yourself to look up and saw a woman standing before you. She had kind eyes and a warm smile. She picked you up and held you in a tight embrace.
“Everything’s okay now, Y/n. Mommy’s got you.” The woman said. You let yourself relax in her embrace. You didn’t feel any pain anymore. You felt tranquility wash over your aching body.
Then everything went dark and you went to sleep.

ON THE DOWN LOW

At this rate, you were going to be late for school. Wouldn’t that look great; the one foreign exchange student in your homeroom stumbling into class long after the bell, out of breath with her hair mussed up and skirt wrinkled. You could only pray that no one on the school board would choose to call up your host family and tell them that not only was the exchange student they were housing tardy this morning, but their son was as well.
You couldn’t exactly blame Tendou for initiating this at such an unusual time. He saw an opportunity, and he pounced on it, simple as that. With his mother out of town and his father already gone for an early morning business meeting, you honestly weren’t even surprised that he spent the morning spouting off flirtatious comments; only that it led to this.
“You’re not gonna have time for breakfast,” you panted down at him.
“What do you mean?” Tendou finally pulled away from the home he had found between your legs. His eyes travelled up to meet your own, and you knew from personal experience that your clothes were the only thing stopping his gaze from taking a detour across your body. “This is my breakfast.”
“I think most people would rather have breakfast in bed,” you joked back. Risking a glance at the clock on the microwave, you saw there was less than 30 minutes until class started.
“I figured eating at the counter was quicker,” he chuckled deviously. Tendou mirrored your glance, quickly evaluating his options before slowly beginning to rise to his feet. The light caught your slick smeared across his lips, glinting tauntingly before getting drug under his tongue. He was never one to wipe his chin with the back of his hand. Instead, he licked everything away, savoring your taste, like he was on death row and you really were his last meal.
As he rose to your level, you pushed up from where you were leaning back on the countertop and met his lips halfway. The redhead’s tongue was against yours immediately, insisting you taste yourself in his mouth.
It was almost intoxicating, only fueled by the feeling of Tendou’s clothed erection pressing against your bare sex. You couldn’t resist the whine that seeped between your lips when his fingers clawed at your hips, pulling you ever closer.
Time was of the essence here, and at this point you were becoming needy. The hand that had found its way into his hair rerouted to slip down to his waistband, but you were interrupted.
“You should ask nicely,” Tendou intercepted your fingers at his belt, barring you from entrance.
“You started it,” you scoffed like a petty little kid.
Tendou didn’t move an inch. Those scarlet eyes of his bore into you, and you tried to stare back, but your resolve was no match to his. “Please,” you finally murmured, fingers nudging his belt buckle once more. His devious grin stretched wider at your submission.
He had the tip of his cock pressing into you faster than you had ever seen. There was no undressing; the only thing tossed away was his belt, which joined your previously discarded underwear on the tile floor with a clank; the slacks of his uniform were shoved down just below his ass cheeks, barely far enough to free himself.
The feeling of Tendou filling you made you let out a long sigh, like he was finally relieving a persistent ache. Instinctually, your legs hiked higher up his sides, pulling him deeper, and if it weren’t for the fact that he was already sliding himself back out, you’d have crossed your ankles to keep him close.
Tendou found a rhythm quickly. It started out slow, focused more on technique and allowing himself to kiss and tug at your lips before moving to lap at your throat hungrily; if you didn’t know any better, you’d almost say it was sensual. It didn’t last long though, each thrust increasing with speed until he was driving into you at the rapid pace you expected from this race against time.
“Fuck, kitten, you feel so good,” Tendou groaned into the crook of your neck. The pet name sent tingles through your skin, crawling down your body until it settled like fire in your lower gut. The only response you gave was the flex of your fingers, nails digging into his shoulders and grasping at his shirt.
The force of his thrusts caused you to let out little mewls and moans in huffs, breath escaping your lungs with every slam of his hips against yours. Tendou had to hook an arm under your knee and grab onto your thigh to keep you flush with the edge of the counter. Though his palm was cold to the touch, you swore your skin burned under the calloused pads of his fingers.
Combined with the tightening internal coil from Tendou’s actions, the burning of your abs as you tried to hold yourself upright was becoming too much to handle. Pulling away from Tendou’s face, you placed your hands behind you so you could lean back and brace against them. You were just beginning to sink back onto your elbows when the sound of the door to the utility room crashing open jolted you from your bliss.
Shooting back upright, a yelp of surprise nearly escaped you, but Tendou’s hand was clamped over your mouth in an instant. You both stared at each other, wide-eyed and frozen in place, as footsteps echoed from the utility room. It was only separated from the kitchen by a small, open archway.
When a voice grumbled out something about ‘forgot my briefcase,’ you instantly recognized it as Tendou’s father.
Step, step, step.
The sound of his heavy footfalls seemed to retreat further into the laundry room, but you knew he still couldn’t be more than 10 feet away. Tendou craned his neck back, trying to peek further past the doorway, before turning back to you with that mischievous smirk of his.
“Shhh,” he whispered almost inaudibly, letting go of your leg and placing a finger over his lips. You didn’t even have time to wonder what he was up to before he was pushing himself back into you, slowly, as if testing the waters.
The pleasant pressure was minor enough to ignore, and the only response you gave was a worried glance past Tendou’s shoulder at the doorway. You could still hear the shuffling of movement across the wall.
Displeased by your lack of reaction, Tendou took the hand that wasn’t covering your mouth and brought it down between your hips. His thumb dipped around where you two were connected, collecting your juices so that when he moved it up to rub your clit, it glided over it without unwanted friction.
Now, that got your attention. Your stomach tensed and you huffed into his fingers, which only led Tendou to tighten his grip on your face; his hand was firm enough that not a lick of air would escape your mouth, but just barely gentle enough that no marks would be left.
His thumb brushed against your clit in every direction until he found the perfect mix of pressure and angle that made your hips buck and eyes roll into fluttering eyelids. As soon as he discovered this, he repeated the motion, but this time snapped his hips into you as well.
Oh, how badly you wanted to gasp and whine and moan his name, but instead you choked on your own voice and forced it back into your chest.
If we get caught, you thought, I’m so getting kicked out of the exchange program.
You hated to admit it, but the idea was kind of thrilling. It was like throwing lighter fluid on the fire in your belly.
Every time the roll of Tendou’s hips lined up perfectly with the way he thumbed your clit, white hot electricity seared through your lower abdomen. He was hitting that spot more and more, and the heat was pooling now. You grabbed onto his wrist, the one at your face, and squeezed sharply; you were trying to channel every urge to cry out into the aching grip you had on his arm.
The coil in your gut was seconds from snapping, and you could tell Tendou was in a similar boat; his jaw was clenched and his eyes half lidded. You begged him with your eyes, silently told him how badly you wanted to cum.
Through both your hazes, the sound of a briefcase clicking closed broke in. It was quiet, barely louder than a pin drop, yet somehow felt as loud as a gun firing next to your ear.  Tendou’s head lifted slightly in realization, then he gave you a hasty nod of encouragement.
Creeeaaaaakkk, slam!
As soon as his father was gone, Tendou was mumbling, “Come for me, baby girl, come on.”
He didn’t have to ask twice. You were already falling over the edge, the pleasure rolling from your core out to your finger and toe tips before rolling back again. He finally broke his hand away from your face, and you gasped for air, gasped his name, gasped until your lungs couldn't take any more. Your heels dug into his back, pressed into his spine like you might be able to collapse into him.
You didn’t know exactly how long it took for Tendou to finish behind you. You were coming down from your high and the next thing you knew, he had his cock in his hand and he was spilling out all over your thighs.
Both of you heaved until your breathing evened out, foreheads pressed together. At long last, Tendou broke the silence with a chuckle, and you couldn’t resist laughing as well.
When he peeled away from you to grab a dish towel and clean you up, your skin stuck together from the sticky sheen of sweat. You were lucky he managed to not get anything on your skirt.
“You’re in big trouble,” you said as he placed his routine post-sex kiss on your cheek.
“Why—” he babbled incredulously, “What for?”
“Because,” you glanced at the clock, “We have less than 15 minutes to get to class.”
“Shit!” Tendou scrambled to pull himself together, hastily running about as he shoved his dick back in his pants. You followed suit, jumping off the counter and grabbing your underwear. You tugged them on with about as much coordination as you could while hopping down the hall to get your backpack and shoes. You were both running around like bats out of hell, cackling with laughter by the time you were out the door.
You ran the whole way to school. At least it was a reasonable explanation for why you looked sweaty enough to have just had a sex marathon.

Tumblr media
Just a few months ago, you never thought you’d have a sugar mommy.
Sure, you considered it before- as a broke college student with barely enough time to sleep, there weren’t many options for you to earn money. The odd jobs you worked whenever you could barely made a dent on your student loans, and the ramen you bought in bulk didn’t exactly help.
Still, dating was the last thing on your mind, so when your best friend tried setting you up for a blind date, you were baffled. “Sooyoung, I’m not looking for a girlfriend right now.”
The brunette grimaced, still sifting through your closet with a fervor you’d never seen on her before. “I know. You’re focused on your studies, and earning money, and all of that.”
“Exactly,” you frowned, holding up the dress she tossed you. It was... skimpy, to say it nicely. “So why would you be forcing me to waste time going on a blind date when I could be studying?”
Joy sighed, handing you a pair of glittery heels now. “Look, Y/N, just trust me. Irene thinks you guys would be a really good match-”
“Wait, Irene? Your sugar mommy?” Horror dawned on you and you let go of the clothing in your lap as if it was poisoned. “Sooyoung-ah. You’re not trying to set me up with a sugar mommy, are you?”
She looked torn between answers, finally settling on pleading, “Just give her a chance. If it turns out badly, I’ll do all of your homework for a month. Two months- and you know how good I am at Chemistry.”
You opened your mouth, intending to continue protesting, but it made sense. Irene wasn’t old at all, barely 5 years older than Joy, and those two had a perfectly functioning relationship. If Irene knew the woman you were being set up with, it couldn’t be a cougar, and if you could earn money...
“Fine.” You picked up the clothing again, lips thinning when you saw how see-through the fabric was. “But I’m not wearing this.”
Tumblr media
“Jesus, Sooyoung.”
Gaping at the restaurant, your hands tightened on the strap of the bag Irene had loaned you, the other two looking like they belonged in the Michelin-star restaurant. “What do you think?” Irene asked, flashing a smile to the guards outside.
“Um. I think I don’t belong here?” Even feeling the cold breeze on your exposed legs, you felt as if you were still in your coffee-stained hoodie and pajama pants, next to men in suits worth more than your life and women crowned with jewels that could buy a small country.
Joy flapped a hand at you; she had been Irene’s sugar baby for about a year, and was spoiled rotten, so of course she was used to the scene. “Nonsense, Y/N. You look beautiful. Y- she will be mesmerized.”
Irene waved a waitress over. “Could you bring Y/N to Ms. Kim’s table?”
“Of course.”
Your best friend, still clinging to the much shorter woman’s arm, waved at you. “Good luck, Y/N.”
“Damn you, Sooyoung,” you hissed as the waitress led you upstairs, to a much quieter room. There were still chandeliers hanging over each of the velvet booths, huge bouquets decorating each table, but at least nothing was bright gold.
The waitress finally stopped you at an empty booth. “Here you go, Ms. Y/L/N. Ms. Kim will be here shortly.”
“Oh. Okay.” The booths were incredibly soft under your bare skin when you sat, bowing in thanks when you were handed a menu. You gasped right out loud, though, when you read the prices of a simple soup.
“Don’t worry, I can handle it.” You nearly hit your knee on the underside of the table at the sound of someone’s voice beside you, your jaw nearly dropping to the richly carpeted floor at the sight of the person you knew was Ms. Kim.
Brunette hair was neatly slicked into a low ponytail, the top three buttons of her suit jacket unbuttoned to reveal smooth skin. The slight roundness to her face almost made her look innocent, though the dark brown of her eyes told you different. “You’re much more beautiful in real life, Y/N.”
God, her voice. You stood to bow quickly, still clutching the menu to your stomach. “Hi,” you managed to say, cursing internally at your own awkwardness.
The woman didn’t seem to notice, though, sliding into the booth opposite you and crossing her legs. “Do you know my name?”
“Uh. I know your last name is Kim, that’s about it,” you answered honestly, hesitantly sitting. “Sooyoung didn’t tell me much.”
“Call me Yongsun, then,” the woman smiled, extending a hand over the table. Her grip was firm, contrasting the soft perfumed skin of her hands. “So, tell me about yourself. Joohyun didn’t tell me much about you either.”
You nodded obediently, sipping lightly at the wine the waitress poured out earlier. “Well, I’m a college student. Um, I’m pretty broke.”
“I gathered. How much do you want in a week, then? 3000?”
“What?” Blinking rapidly, you stared at the gorgeous woman sitting across from you.
Yongsun shrugged, cocking her head. “You heard me. Or do you want more?”
“Um. We didn’t even agree to do this yet, Yo- Ms. Kim.”
She smiled at you, looking so much younger than someone who could be so rich. “Right. I’ll be frank with you, Y/N. I think you’re beautiful.” When you flushed and tried to protest, she held up her hand, continuing, “And I’m willing to pay. I don’t have time to date, really, so all I want from you is companionship.”
“Nothing... more?” you tested, tasting lip gloss when you wet your lips. “Like sex? I heard that’s what most sugar mommies want.”
Leaning forward, Yongsun picked up her own wine glass. “If you’re comfortable, that’ll come with time. So what do you say? You can back out any time you want, if you agree. I won’t hold anything against you.”
You accepted her handshake, despite the tiny little voice in the back of your mind screaming for you to stop. “Okay. Let’s do it.”
Tumblr media
In the next couple of weeks, you learned that Yongsun was the CEO of an entertainment company, and that she was the same age as Irene. She preferred Givenchy over Gucci, red wine over white, and she liked diamonds.
Especially on you.
It was all moving far too quickly to be rational, but for whatever reason, something about Yongsun made you trust her. She was kind, never pushed you, and respected you like an actual human even with your arrangement.
It’d be a lie to say you weren’t drunk when you kissed her for the first time, but the expensive whiskey lingering at the back of your throat only serve the purpose of giving you enough courage to do what you wanted.
Anyway, Yongsun stopped you from doing anything further. “I do want to kiss you, (Y/N), but I want you to remember every second of it when I do,” she told you, your heart only beating a million times faster when she did.
After that, kisses became normal, mostly initiated by you. In barely 3 months, you grew closer, and closer, and closer, until there was no room left between you.
Yongsun’s sheets were silky smooth on you, warm where your limbs tangled with the older woman’s. Diamonds still dripped from her ears and her throat even with the bareness of the rest of her, the purpling markings from your lips staining her pale collarbones.
“Was that okay?” she asked you softly, tilting her head to look at you with soft hair splayed out around her. “Are you okay?”
“I’m perfect,” you breathed out, still panting just the slightest bit. “But Yongsun, you need to know that I didn’t just do that because you bought me a diamond necklace.”
She raised her eyebrows, fingers lingering on the delicate chain of jewels nestled against you. “Then why did you?”
Your fingers curled around hers, holding her hand close to you. “I feel something for you. I don’t know why, and I don’t know what it is, but I do.”
“So do I, Y/N,” Yongsun smiled, ethereal. “And we have all the time in the world to explore it.”

I just see you
synopsis: Vision hasn't seen Wanda in nearly a year, not since they both decided the danger was too great and they needed to go their separate ways. But he's still her emergency contact, so when Wanda ends up in hospital, Vision is the first to hear. Frantic, he travels to France, desperate to see her safe and harbouring hope that they might yet reconcile.

There was a ringing coming from Vision’s bedroom.
It took a few shrill rings for him to realise that the noise wasn’t coming from inside his own head. Vision had been so wrapped up in his research that he hadn’t resurfaced for hours. It was a jarring thing to do all at once, to leave the carefully regulated interior of his mind and appear back in the physical world once more.
The ringing continued and Vision glanced around, his eyes adjusting quickly. Morning had quickly turned to evening and the pale walls of his room were lit up amber by the sunset.
The source of the sound was quickly discovered in the depths of his wardrobe, hidden within a pocket of a jacket he rarely wore. Vision fished the small flip phone out, anxiously. It had been a gift and the only person who knew its number hadn’t spoken to him in months.
Recalling that telephones only rang for a set time Vision hurriedly answered, lest it run through to the voicemail he’d never had cause to set up.
“Hello?” He said hesitantly, straining his ears to hear the person on the other line. The environment behind sounded busy, he could hear many voices piling on top of one another in chorus.
“Monsieur Maximoff?” The voice on the other side of the phone sounded stern, but unfamiliar. She was also speaking French. Vision did not know anyone who spoke French.
“I’m sorry, who am I speaking to?” Vision asked, fumbling for what to say and desperately grasping at the internet for a French translator. Mr Maximoff? He thought, who on earth was he talking to and how had they come across his number.
“Ah, Anglais.” The voice sounded more distant, as though she were talking to someone else. She returned, this time speaking in English with a heavy French accent. “Am I speaking to Mr Maximoff?”
Vision wasn’t sure what else he could say. “Yes, yes, you are. I’m so sorry, who is this?”
He was just about to trace the caller’s IMEI but the woman at the other end provided him with all the information he needed.
“Bonjour, Mr Maximoff. I am calling from the Toulouse University Hospital,” she said.
“Toulouse,” Vision repeated in astonishment. “Toulouse, France?”
“Yes, Monsieur,” she replied, sounding slightly vexed. “We had a patient brought in earlier tonight and you were listed as her emergency contact. Her condition is stable, but she had a hit to the head. We’ve observed her for a few hours, and she seems fine, but we wanted to advise you of the incident so you might pick her up.”
Vision breath caught in his throat as fear gripped his heart.
“To clarify,” Vision said shakily, “you are speaking of Wanda.”
“Yes.”
“Is she okay?”
He must have sounded rather strangled in his panic for when the woman spoke again her words were measuredly more soothing. “She is perfectly fine, Mr Maximoff. Just a bit shaken up with some light bruising and an abrasion on her forehead. We would like to monitor her overnight and if everything is okay, we can discharge her in the morning. Can you come to the hospital for then?”
“Of course!” Vision said frantically. “I can be there soon.”
She ended the call with a pleasantry in French that he didn’t recognise, but he was already on the move. He thought about leaving the phone behind, but decided it was better to have it near him in case the hospital called again.
Vision’s form blurred as he darted about the room grabbing at bits and pieces, he thought he might need. He wanted to travel light but also didn’t want to be caught unawares. He withdrew the travel bag he kept in his nightstand which contained any identification he needed to appear human. Vision had gotten his driver’s license once he had started making more solo trops and Tony had thought it useful. Vision obviously hadn’t taken the test itself; he was a better driver than any human and a test wasn’t needed to prove that.
He also retrieved his passport and the credit card he seldom needed to use. None of these listed his real identity, mind you. Instead, they displayed his human glamour with his pale skin and a head of sandy blond hair.
There was no way he could travel under his true identity without being clocked by the authorities as operating without the Accords’ instruction. Vision doubted that visiting your ex in hospital counted as noble activities that the United Nations would look favourably upon in the event he was caught. Especially when that ex happened to be an international fugitive.
With his ID secured and slipped safely into the pocket of his jacket, Vision made for the door. He was out of the compound before the building’s AI had the chance to trigger the system and notify Tony that someone had crossed the property line.
Vision had never had cause to test his super speed over such extensive distances. There had always been easier alternatives for travel.
Thankfully, progress went fast. Though it was frustrating having to stop at ever major border or airspace to disappear offline so he couldn’t be identified as a hostile flying object. When he did have secure connection, Vision kept an eye on the news in Toulouse, terrified that Wanda might be discovered. So far, the feed was quiet, and Vision had to rest on the assurance that the woman he had spoken with on the phone had said nothing to indicate she was suspicious of Wanda.
In the end, Vision managed to make it to France in just over two hours, having had to detour over the North Atlantic to avoid some nasty weather. Staying low to the ground and mostly hidden under the cover of night, he risked getting within two miles of the hospital before returning to the ground.
Vision ducked down an alley and took a moment to hide in the shadows. Taking a deep breath, he focused his energy on putting on the shimmer that made him appear human. It slipped into place easily. Straightening his jacket and running a hand through his hair, Vision ensured he looked relatively presentable before heading back out onto the streets of Toulouse.
It was an excruciatingly slow walk, but Vision knew he couldn’t risk drawing attention by walking any quicker than a human. Even in the early hours of the morning, Toulouse still had life to it. There were a few too many watchful eyes than he could be comfortable with. Even knowing that no one on this side of the world had seen his human form, it was still difficult to put the fear to rest.
Vision quickened his pace marginally as he reached the hospital’s entrance, figuring it might seem normal enough to hurry given where he was. In his head he reminded himself over and over that this was normal. He was here because he had received a call about his ‘partner’ who had been hospitalised. Vision felt sick even as he thought it.
Inside the brightly lit ground floor was a round desk with bright green letters hanging above that said la réception.Sitting behind the desk were three nurses. Vision caught the attention of the nearest and smiled politely.
“Bonjour,” Vision said, the language sounding strange in his mouth, “je suis ici pour Ms Maximoff.”
The nurse leant forward to catch Vision’s quiet tone. He was hesitant about using the last name ‘Maximoff’ and wondered why on earth Wanda hadn’t given them a false name.
“Ah,” the nurse’s eyes lit up in recognition and she turned to call over her shoulder, “Louise?”
Another nurse came around to the reception and as she rattled off something in French Vision recognised her as the stern woman who had spoken with him on the phone.
“Mr Maximoff?” She said with a welcoming smile.
“Yes,” Vision said hesitantly, “oui.”
“I though you would come by in the morning—”
Vision opened his mouth to provide reasoning for coming so quickly. He had forgotten how difficult it was, having to lie all the time when he was with Wanda.
“—but I understand you must have been very worried. If you would please follow me.”
Vision shut his mouth tightly, perhaps it was better to say less and let them assume more. The nurse turned away and walked down a long corridor to a set of lifts. She called one down and the doors opened with a chime, before gesturing for Vision to get in. As he stepped in, Vision let his hands brush against the control panel and shuddered slightly as he was absorbed into the hospital’s security system. It felt wrong, but it was better than risking someone having recognised Wanda already. Vision scrubbed through the security, uploaded a match of Wanda’s face and proceeded to edit all visual of her from the camera’s history. The system was too limited to even realise what was happening, let alone retaliate.
“Could you please explain what happened?” Vision asked politely as they reached the fourth floor and the elevator doors opened once more.
“I’m afraid I do not know much more than what I told you over the phone,” Louise said. “She was brought in about seven hours ago with a few other patients from a car accident. A vehicle lost control on the motorway and took out several other cars with it. A bit of a mess I am afraid.”
Lousie caught sight of Vision’s horrified face. “Not that Ms Maximoff was badly hurt,” she said hurriedly, “she is perfectly fine, and we will be able to let her out in the morning.”
Vision breathed out shakily as he was led down a brightly lit corridor. “Thank you.”
“Do not worry,” Louise gave Vision a comforting smile and stopped in front of a nondescript door. “You’re welcome to stay until morning though don’t tell anyone that I let you in out of visitor hours. There is a canteen on the ground floor, but it does not open until 7 I am afraid.”
“That’s alright, it won’t be a problem,” Vision said with a smile, eager to get inside the room and out of view of prying eyes. “Thank you for all your help.”
“D’accord,” Louise said her eyes crinkling in another smile and waving her hand, dismissing his thanks genially.
Vision managed to wait until she had retreated down the corridor before steeling himself and letting his human glamour fall. He did not want to see Wanda as anyone but himself.
As Vision erased himself from the corridor, he took the first step into Wanda’s cramped hospital room. The space smelt sterile, even to him and it was so wholly unwelcoming that Vision’s heart seized at the idea of Wanda spending hours here alone.
It seemed she wasn’t as troubled, instead lying sound asleep in the hospital bed. With the bed propped as it was, Wanda’s face was bathed in the light peeking through the blinds as car headlights flew past. Vision peered at her face intently, surveying the damage.
There was a graze across her forehead and a couple of stitches in her chin, but otherwise no other outwards injuries. There was a clipboard attached to the end of the hospital bed and Vision picked it up quietly to assess the doctor’s notes. It was in French, and shorthand at that, but he managed to decipher the words with the aid of his translator. MTBI. A mild traumatic brain injury, Vision thought. He knew it sounded much worse than it was and was comforted by the doctor’s following notes: no further cognitive symptoms, keep overnight, review in morning before discharge.
So there really was nothing else wrong. It was reassuring and he felt much better now that he was standing before Wanda’s sleeping form, her chest rising and falling steadily.
It was only then that Vision realised precisely how long it had been since he had last seen her. 8 months. Three seasons had passed since she had pushed him out of her life for good and he had let her. Wanda had sworn she didn’t want to see him again, and Vision had let it happen. He’d regretted the argument ever since it had happened
Now here he was, her unassuming emergency contact after a car accident. What if it had been something more final, what if that call had been made to deliver more devastating news, what would he have done?
Vision didn’t waste time pursuing such guilty thoughts further, instead going to Wanda’s side and sitting in the chair beside the bed. As he reached out for her hand, laying still atop the scratchy hospital blanket, he knew it was where he was supposed to be. As he took her hand her fingers twitched, registering the contact.
When Vision looked up, Wanda’s eyes were open, if slightly bleary. She blinked slowly in the darkness.
“Vis?” She whispered, her voice thick with sleep and exhaustion.
“Yes,” Vision replied, desperately wishing he could reach out and take her into his arms but knowing it was not his place to do so. Not unless she invited him to.
“It feels like you,” Wanda smiled and closed her eyes again, squeezing his hand. “I wish you were here.”
Vision frowned and wrapped both hands around hers. “I am here.”
Wanda stilled and Vision felt his hands grow warm and the familiar feeling of Wanda’s power. Perhaps just confirming it was him, or maybe it was a more involuntary reaction.
She sat up abruptly. “You shouldn’t be here!” The movement had apparently been too quick for her as Wanda winced and raised a hand to her forehead in pain. Vision jumped to his feet once more and helped her lie back down on her pillows.
“How did you get here?” Wanda asked, now wide awake and staring up at him.
“They called me,” Vision said slowly, trying his best not to distress her further. He thought about moving away from the bed to give her space, but she had grabbed a hold of his wrist and didn’t seem keen on releasing it. After so long without hearing her voice, Vision was content to stay as close as she would allow.
“The accident, was it bad?” He asked.
“Honestly,” Wanda said slowly, “I don’t really remember. It happened so quickly, nothing like a real fight. Just a flash of metal and I was lying on the curb. It barely touched me, but the paramedics insisted I come to the hospital.”
“As they should,” Vision said, unable to keep the distress from his voice. “What if something worse had happened? You really never know with head injuries…”
“Well, I feel fine now,” Wanda said relaxing somewhat amongst the cushions. “Did they tell you when I can leave?”
“In the morning,” Vision replied, “as long as the doctor checks you one last time before you leave.”
Wanda didn’t seem happy at the prospect of having to stay any longer than necessary but at least she didn’t push him to break her out of the hospital.
“I didn’t realise I was still your emergency contact,” Vision said quietly, looking intently at the mattress.
Wanda sighed quietly. “If you’re asking if there’s anyone else, there’s not.”
Vision stiffened. “I wasn’t prying.”
A few moments of silence passed by. “That doesn’t explain why I was listed as Vision Maximoff in your contacts.”
Wanda groaned and finally released his wrist, using her hand to instead cover her face in embarrassment. She sighed heavily and looked at the ceiling. “Let’s just say I was young, hopeful and in love.”
“That wasn’t that long ago,” Vision smiled, half-heartedly trying to joke past the growing discomfort in his chest. He hated that she used the past tense when talking about them.
“Yeah,” Wanda shrugged, “well a lot has changed. Being a fugitive changes things.”
Vision nodded, though he knew he’d never really understand what the last year had been for Wanda. “I hope it does not change everything.” He spoke slowly, afraid of saying something that might make her ask him to leave. “My feelings have not changed.”
Wanda bit her lip but seemed to be fighting off something like a smile. “Mine haven’t either.”
Hearing this made Vision breathe easily for what felt like the first time in months. Despite the circumstances, he was here beside her. Wanda was safe, light bruising aside, and through it all she somehow still loved him.
“I know things will always be complicated, but I hope you’ll think about letting me back into your life again,” Vision said softly, taking Wanda’s hand in his again. “It does not matter in what way or form, as long as I can be near you.”
“I’d like that,” Wanda said, her words barely above a whisper. Her chest shuddered as she yawned, wincing again as she shifted her head.
“You should rest. We can talk in the morning.”
Wanda nodded and let her eyes flutter close.
Vision stayed up for the last few hours of the night, a loyal shadow at Wanda’s side. All the while he counted down the minutes until they could leave and he could see Wanda safely to her house, wherever it was she was staying in Toulouse. It concerned him that Steve and the others probably hadn’t heard about Wanda’s accident, and he hoped they weren’t losing their minds with worry. There was another part of him that thought Wanda might be alone in France, she had always preferred staying in Europe when her small band of fugitives went their separate ways. But maybe that was just wishful thinking on his part.
It was foolish for Vision to hope, but he was starting to think the best way for this day to end was with him in Wanda’s bed. Of course, logically he knew they weren’t there yet. Even Wanda’s admission the night before to allow him back in her life felt like enough. But it was difficult to curb 8 months of longing.
As the clock ticked past 6am and the sky began to lighten behind the blinds Vision waited patiently, not wanting to disturb the rest Wanda so clearly needed. She had never been a quiet sleeper, always tossing and turning and mumbling in dreams. Vision was well accustomed with her habits, so it was unnerving to observe her stillness. But her breathing remained steady through until dawn. The only time Wanda had shifted was to roll onto her side, pulling their hands, which had found each other in the night, closer towards her.
Wanda finally woke around 7 and Vision busied himself by pretending to peer out the blinds and observe the street below.
“How are you feeling?” He asked over his shoulder, hearing the sheets rustle as Wanda sat up.
“Better now,” she mumbled. “But ready to get out of this place, I’d rather not risk it with the authorities in France again.”
Vision hated the way that Wanda said again. What had really happened in the months he hadn’t heard from her?
“No need to worry, I’ve removed you from security camera footage and before we leave, I’ll scrub us from the system again.”
Wanda rubbed at her eyes as she slipped out of the hospital bed. “Give me a chance to splash my face and change and we can get going.”
“No rush,” Vision murmured but it felt untrue. There was a rush. Even if he did remove them from the records there was no saying that a member of staff wouldn’t eventually recognise the name Maximoff and tell the authorities. Yes, the sooner they were out of the hospital, the better.
While Wanda was freshening up, Vision gathered her meagre belongings. Her necklaces, rings and phone had been left in a plastic tray on the bedside table. With everything safely in his pockets Vision slipped back into the hospital’s security system. From what he could tell, no alerts had been tripped but then again he didn’t know if the hospital had a specific code for ‘there’s an international fugitive on premises call the police’. Vision knew the hospital was nearly at capacity based on the records he had looked at, so the chances that their faces would stick out of everyone felt unlikely.
Nevertheless, it was better safe than sorry and there was no way they wouldn’t draw attention with him looking as he was. Once again, Vision closed his eyes and visualised his human shimmer, shivering as it fell into place. His skin tickled as his hair fell onto his forehead and Vision reached up to run a hand through it, a mannerism he had never had reason to practice but had seen others perform.
The bathroom door creaked as Wanda closed it behind her. It was a relief to see her out of the hospital gown and in something more Wanda.
“Vis how are you going to—” As she turned and caught sight of him, Wanda’s voice caught in her throat. She brought both hands to her mouth in astonishment.
Vision suddenly grew shy. Of course, Wanda had never seen him like this, of course it would be a shock. Did she even recognise him?
“It’s still me,” Vision said hurriedly, whether for her sake or his he couldn’t be sure. He rubbed awkwardly at the back of his neck as Wanda’s eyes continued to search his face in disbelief.
“I know,” she finally said, approaching him slowly. “I can tell it’s you.”
Just as she reached him the door to the hospital room slid open and a young woman entered.
“Bonjour,” Vision said hurriedly, taking a few steps back from Wanda and turning his attention to the doctor. Wanda’s eyes remained on Vision right up until the doctor approached her and asked her to do a few simply exercises. When she was sure that motor function was normal, they were told they were free to leave and to go down to the reception to begin the process of checking out. The doctor made Wanda promise to return to the hospital if she began experiencing anything like memory loss or migraines.
With the doctor gone once more, Wanda spun on Vision, getting far closer to him than she had yet. She reached up and placed a hand on his cheek, frowning.
“This is new.”
Vision nodded against her hand, relishing this one touch that he had spent months dreaming about. “I started working on this as soon as I left…”
He didn’t need to explain more and saw Wanda’s gaze grow shadowed as she presumably recalled their fight. It had been about their safety around each other, it always was. Wanda had been angry about Vision being put at risk around her, and he had been annoyed about the same thing for her. It had been so difficult to hide and meet up every few weeks back then, especially when Vision was so recognisable, and Wanda was being broadcasted around the globe. When Wanda had finally insisted on breaking things off, Vision had agreed. He’d returned to the compound and spent a week perfecting his new human mirage. It was all in the hopes that when she next called him things would be easier. But she hadn’t called.
“Do you have a—” Vision swallowed nervously, “—a preference?”
Wanda tilted her head curiously, “I don’t mind this new glamour, either way it’s you. But I prefer the you you.”
Vision tried to hide his relief as he raised his hand to Wanda’s which was still pressed to his cheek. Her thumb was running curiously circles over his skin. Carefully, cautiously, he took her hand and pressed his mouth to the back of her knuckles. The gesture’s effect was immediate, and Wanda closed her eyes.
“I miss being close to you,” she whispered, as they gravitated closer together. “I could imagine you; I could see you were safe on the news but nothings the same as having you here under my hands.”
Well, she’d had one more assurance than him at least.
It didn’t take much for Vision to pull her closer, hooking an arm around her waist and letting his human glamour fall. She sunk into his embrace, as he had imagined her doing for months and Vision wrapped his arms securely around her.
“Please don’t ask me to leave,” he said, strained.
“Alright,” Wanda said, her voice muffled as she pressed her head into the crook of his neck.
She drew back and took his face in her hands and kissed him. Vision’s legs nearly gave out from underneath him as her mouth moved softly against his own, something he hadn’t let himself dream of doing ever again.
Wanda smiled against his mouth. “We’re sticking together from now on.”

Absolute Pleasure
Written as a gift for @rushingheadlong, for helping me fight with my Oct. 31st Queen/Rocktober prompt!!! This is my first try at corset fic (something I’ve loved reading but not been brave enough to write until now!) I hope you like it, my friend!
Synopsis: Trans M Reader/Brian. Set about 1979ish. He’s done the shopping! An attractive thing already in a lovingly domestic relationship, but made all the better by something he’s bought, and wants to show off to you. Or rather, is a bit nervous about showing off (because Bri and showing off don’t always go together), but really hopes you’ll love.
TW: Corset kink, use of a plug, and some very gentle post-orgasm torture (mutual, not one person inflicting it on the other.) Bit of gentle (no skin breaking) biting as well.
My love to all who read/like/reblog!
“I don’t know how you could possibly surprise me,” you giggle as you sit on the couch, eyes covered as Brian had asked you to do. “I mean, you went out shopping. If you remembered that we need more milk, then I will be surprised, but that’s mostly because I forgot to write down anywhere that we’re out. Again. Because I didn’t write it down the week before either.”
“Wasn’t exactly that kind of shopping,” Brian chuckles. “But I think you’ll like it. God, I hope you will, because if not-”
“Breathe,” you smile.
He laughs, or tries to, it sounds like. He sounds different, and there’s the creak of something as you hear him bending down to move the shopping in from the front doorway.
The door shuts, locks, the drapes are pulled shut with a quick hand, and you can hear him, of all things, pulling off his jacket and shirt.
“Okay, you can look.”
Your breath catches in your throat as you let your hands drop from your face. “Holy shit.”
He tries to laugh again, but the corset is tight enough that it seems to be a bit difficult for him to do that. You had both talked about your love of corsets, had talked about indulging that kink for each other someday in the future, but the time had never seemed right.
“You...need to start making more spur of the moment shopping decisions,” you finally manage to say as you reach out for him.
He catches your hands gently at your wrists as you reach for the edge of the black corset. “Wasn’t that spur of the moment, actually. Took about a week to finally get brave enough to ask Freddie if he knew anyone who makes things like this, then another week of fittings, then another week of them having me come by and break it in properly, and now...”
He smiles nervously. “You do like it, right?”
You take it in for another moment. Black satin with velvet accents, and a cosmic looking design in silver thread, sewn in such a way to make the thread gleam in the light, as if covered in rhinestones (which you can guess Freddie may have suggested, but that Brian likely and understandably vetoed, to avoid the scratch or loss of a loose rhinestone.)
“I love it,” you stand up and pull him close, gently, mindful of his ability or lack thereof to take too deep of a breath. “You look...I’m...I have words for how I feel right now, I swear, but I am wonderfully overwhelmed at present.”
He laughs and his hands wander down your back and hips. “Can you show me instead?”
You nod and gently tug him towards the bedroom, walking backwards so you can take in the view.
Truthfully, he’s attractive in basically anything, but in this...it takes all you have to take it slow, not to jump his bones and make it fast and furious.
For his part, Brian doesn’t rush, nor does he slow you down. He smiles, and pulls you close for kisses and to let his hands linger at your hips, to pluck at the waistband of your trousers, his fingers run through your hair whenever you’re at an angle that allows for it. He seems perfectly content and happy to let you take control.
“How much of our night should we make this?” you ask as he lays back on the bed and welcomes you to sit on his lap, grinding against his increasingly hard cock. You’ve got him down to the corset, and the corset only, and you wish you could take a picture of him, because you never want to forget how beautiful he looks like this.
“Rest of the night, into tomorrow,” he replies as his fingers dig in at your hips. “Ah...should have put the shopping away first.”
“Is there anything there that will spoil?” you ask.
He thinks, frowns, you can see the wheels turning.
“Should I go check, to be safe?” you prompt.
“No, no, I can go,” Brian mutters. “I think I did remember the milk...unless I forgot it.”
“Schrodinger’s milk,” you giggle as you slip off his lap and watch him pad out of the room, all tiny ass and skinny thighs. “You know, if you did forget it-”
“We need to write it down so we don’t forget for a third week,” he laughs. “I know. We will manage to get more eventually, I think.”
“Eventually,” you agree with another giggle. “Hurry though.”
“Oh?” he calls.
“I’m going to be cold without you,” you reply, as you start to strip off your clothes.
“Is that so?” his voice is the tiniest bit ragged, you can hear how badly he wants to rush back in to you.
But he’s a good lad, and it’s another few minutes before he’s back, though his cock is leaking ever so slightly and his gaze towards you is a wonderfully hungry one that you match as you take the sight of him in.
“I know you can’t wear that all the time,” you say softly as he climbs back into bed, taking the lead this time, gently pushing you against the pillows as he kisses and sucks at your neck.
“But if I could, you would have me do just that?” Brian smiles against your skin. “I could work with that. But only if it means I get you in one of these as well, at least once.”
“You could have me in it as many times as you like,” you whisper as you use your legs to pull him in close. “Speaking of...I don’t want to be crass...”
He giggles. “We’re nearly fucking, and you’re worried about crass?”
“Yes!” you protest. “Anyway...can you fuck in this? I know it isn’t exactly unsafe, but for your own comfort level...”
“Never tried,” Brian admits. “But I want to try. If I feel too out of breath or uncomfortable, then we can take a break and you can get me out of it.”
That sentence nearly does you in, leaving you restless, working your hips against him. The idea of carefully undoing every bit of it, with Brian taking slow, deep breaths, eyes probably shut, relaxed under your hands...
It’s almost too much.
“Might need to take a break in between,” he smiles. “Just for you, hm?”
You nod. “We’ll work out a schedule. Fuck, quick break for a snack maybe, fuck again, nap a little, fuck...”
He laughs, peppering your face and neck with kisses. “I like it. Can you wait any longer now?”
“Is that a challenge?” you ask back.
“Could be,” Brian breathes out, and you can feel the restriction of the corset in how he moves. “Remember the safe word?”
“Nova,” you nod quickly. “I’ll have to wait a moment anyway, won’t I? I know we bought more condoms...”
“We did,” Brian sighs. “We’re two grown men, how is it so hard to keep a house stocked with things?”
You shrug as you roll with him carefully to peer into the bedside drawer as he opens it. “It’s one of life’s mysteries.”
“I don’t think it is,” he chuckles and rifles through the drawer. “Wait, there we are!”
“We have at least that one left, and it’s unexpired!” you declare triumphantly. “See? Very adult and responsible of us.”
His head drops to your shoulder as you roll back with him, and his breath is warm on you as he laughs. “Sure. We’ve really got it all figured out now.”
“For the moment, yes,” you agree. “Now...are you going to just hold that condom, or maybe open it, or...”
He grins wickedly as he sits back up, his hands toying with the edge of the condom wrapper. “You would like it opened, wouldn’t you?”
“I would.”
“And for me to put it on right away?”
You nod. “Usually how it goes.”
“And then what?” Brian muses innocently.
“I think you might have an idea,” you smirk. “Though I could help you, if you’ve forgotten.”
“No, that’s one thing we don’t have to write down to remember,” Brian giggles. “Not yet, at least.”
“Save that for when we’re old and grey,” you say.
“You think we’ll still be up for this by then?” he asks as he opens the wrapper and puts the condom on, smiling as you squirm in anticipation.
“I think so,” you reply, arms around him as you welcome him back down against you.
You don’t really have any fears about that, though you’re well aware you both might be a little less flexible, that a little bit more lube might be required. But frankly, you don’t care if that will be the case. All that really matters is that it’s you, and Bri, and whatever kink you might decide to indulge that day.
The lube this time around isn’t needed as much, and it’s a quick preparation before he’s inside of you, the satin and velvet of the corset warm on your skin as he moves against you.
“You still good?” you manage to ask, even as you carefully wrap your legs around him to keep him near.
He nods. “I can breathe, if that’s what you mean.”
“Yes,” you reply. “And in general, all good?”
“I am,” he smiles. “Are you, if I wait another moment?”
“You’re mean to me today,” you reply, kissing him gently. “But I like it.”
“Not so mean,” he whispers as he slowly begins to move. “That you can’t handle it. And you could be mean to me too, if you like.”
“How so?”
“I won’t come until you say,” he replies, and you can tell it will be a task for him. His muscles shake the littlest bit as he thrusts, a sign that you’ve teased almost too much for him to hang on for long.
You nod. “Okay. But if it’s too much-”
“I’ll safe word,” he interrupts you with a kiss. “I promise. For now, I’m alright. It isn’t too much.”
“Before we go on,” you say as you loosen your legs from around him. “I’ve had an idea. If you’re up for it, that is.”
He slips out of you with a light groan. “I’m up for most anything right now, quite literally.”
“Good,” you smile, and open the other drawer of the end table near the bed. “How about this?”
He grins at the plug you set in front of him. He’s worn it during foreplay before, but fucking with it still in would be a new game.
One that, as he flops back on the bed and starts working himself open with the lube, he’s apparently all too eager to play.
“Not too mean, this and waiting until I say you can come?” you ask as he slides the plug in with a strangled, then happy sigh.
He turns and buries his face into your chest.
“Brian, talk to me,” you prompt gently.
“I’m good,” he manages a moment later. “Just...”
“Trying hard not to come?”
He laughs. “I can’t guarantee I’ll last much longer, but I’ve got an idea for that too.”
“Do you now?” you smile as you follow his motioning for you to sit on his cock, slowly sliding him into you with a moan.
He nods, but that’s all he can manage as you move your hips. He feels amazing inside, hard and warm, and even with the condom on, you can feel the occasional pulse as he fights off his orgasm.
This is possibly the most relaxed, or rather, least stressed, you get to see him. He lets himself go, concerned only with the moment, a dreamy little smile on his face in between moans and whines.
Each time, you wish you could bottle that feeling for him, for the days when you can’t be together, when there’s no time to retreat to the bedroom and focus only on feeling good.
And honestly, it would be nice to have it bottled for yourself too. The sensation of his hands on your hips, fingers digging in just so, every now and again wandering to toy at your cock and folds. He only plays enough there to tease, and by now has it memorized exactly how rough (or not) you like it based on the day and the kinks you’re indulging for the session.
He taps suddenly at your hip, and you nod, because you’re right at the edge yourself. “Come for me.”
His hips buck erratically even as he sits up, pulling you close, kissing and panting at your neck as he moans through his orgasm. It’s the cutest thing, the way he falls to pieces, and it pushes you over the edge a moment later.
“I love you so fucking much it hurts,” you murmur against his lips as you kiss him hard. “And I love that too.”
You move off of him for a moment so he can toss away the condom and catch his breath.
And he does take the condom off, tossing it to the waste basket across the room.
But he scrambles to find another in the drawer, and pulls it on right away. “Come here again.”
“Oh fuck,” you sigh happily as you slip onto his cock, not quite as hard as a moment ago, and by the wincing from Brian, very sensitive.
But that’s how you know he likes it, when he decides to tease himself (and you) like this. Both of you oversensitive and overwhelmed yet from your orgasms, so that this second, quick fuck is messy.
But it feels so fucking good, as he rolls you carefully over so he’s on top of you, thrusting hard but with a shudder here and there.
“Bite me,” you command shakily as you hold him close again, legs wrapped around him as tight as you can without restricting his movement.
He nips at your neck and shoulders, and god you could never have fucked like this back in the flat you guys had previously. He’s not always the loudest man in bed, but he’s plenty vocal right now, and it’s the best sound in the world as you mix it with your own moans and cries of his name.
It only last a few minutes more, and you know you’re going to feel it the next day, with how hard his final thrust hits against your hips as he comes.
But you’ve left your marks too, in hickeys on his neck and chest and shoulders, in marks from your nails on his back. Nothing too extreme; it won’t even be noticeable in a few days unless you really look, but you both love it. Every little mark is a reminder, is love made visible, is beautiful.
He doesn’t stop until you come again, even as his thrusts slow and you can tell he’s got to be painfully sensitive, even with the condom.
After, he slips out of slowly, and flops against you with only a giggle and a whimper.
“So...we should take notes, do this like this again, hm?” you ponder, your voice a bit shaky as his hand traces a pattern on your thigh.
He laughs, and presses kisses to every bit of skin he can reach. “Yes, I think we should. And to think, Freddie wanted me to wear this thing at a show...”
“You’ll need to have another corset made, if he wants that,” you say, fingers moving against one of the velvet accents of it. “I don’t think you’ll be able to be onstage with this on without thinking to today and being...well, too distracted to play.”
He nods.
“Shall I get you out of it?” you ask gently.
He nods again, and yawns.
“You have to stay awake at least until I get it off and we get cleaned up,” you tease. “Can you manage that?”
He smiles. “Think so.”
He’s practically limp while you undo the corset, admiring the hard work that clearly went into every bit of it. You leave him for a moment after, to place it safely in a drawer in the dresser against the wall, and to let him take out the plug.
You return with a couple of damp, warm towels, and it’s only after you’re both clean, as well as the plug, that you finally crawl back into bed and snuggle together.
“So,” Brian mumbles, eyes shut as he rests his head on your chest. He nearly has to have his feet hanging off the bed to do it, but for as often as he does it you know that must be a worthy sacrifice to him. “As it turns out, and I did mean to say earlier...I did forget the milk. We’ll have to go out again to get some, and I think, since we’ll be out, we really ought to make a trip to the tailor that made up my corset.”
“And get one for me?”
“And get one started for you,” he replies with a smile.
You play with his curls gently as you let your eyes close. “I’m looking forward to it, and to what we’ll get to do once it’s finished.”

desolation!au (lunatic!kaede au)
summary: in canon, kotetsu manages to restore barnaby's memory at the last second, but what if it didn't work? what if kaede ex machina never got the chance to save her father at the top of the apollon media tower and restore the other heroes' memories? in fact, what if she never knew they were being brainwashed in the first place?what if kotetsu died that day?
basically me developing my idea of an au where, consumed by anger and grief, kaede seeks lunatic to help her in carrying her revenge and murdering her father's killer.
illustration of lunatic!kaede is attached at the very end of the fic :3
a/n: tbh, i was watching tiger & bunny w/ my friends and at some point i thought about kaede being lunatic's student because i just want to see her start shit and it wasn't anything much at first, just small headcanons here and little doodles there. but then idk , i made a little sketch and it all snowballed from there.
i ended up developing this au and have become quite invested in it.
i’m aware the format looks like cat shit on mobile, im sorry. if it’s super disruptive to the reading experience, feel free to refer to the ao3 version (links are in my desc).

synopsis
follows the same storyline up until the memory loss arc, where the au experiences a massive canon divergence.
kotetsu receives a chance to escape after being aided by lunatic, and, not letting his unsuccessful attempt at making his friends remember his true identity deter him, he gathered them at the top of the apollon media tower. he tries again to make them remember that he is wild tiger, and not a murderer, but much like in canon the rest of the group do not believe him—though some falter briefly. unlike canon, however, is that kaede ex machina does not appear in time to unleash maverick’s next power that she copied to restore everyone’s memories.
she does make an attempt to reach the tower where her father is taking a stand, but she does not encounter maverick and on her way up the roof the elevator stops—as it should during emergencies... without her interference, the rest of the hero team overpower kotetsu who is smashed through the roof and lands into saito’s lab. realising that the latter doesn’t remember who he was either, kotetsu quickly grabs his suit and motorbike to try to escape and regroup with ben. the rest of the heroes rush to go after him, though some (blue rose, etc) are more hesitant than others (rock bison, etc). on the way down they [the heroes] find kaede and become preoccupied with her. they’re experiencing an emergency but the child refuses to leave, so some of the heroes have their hands full handling her.
during this, the cameras continue to follow kotetsu. in the end, barnaby pursues kotetsu on his own vehicle and they fight at the bridge where they first teamed up. kaede can follow what is currently happening as the event is broadcasted and grows increasingly hysterical, screaming that she needs to be there and that they’re [blue rose, sky high, etc] supposed to be helping her dad, not pursue him. at some point before the final blow, the feed cuts—the camera probably got hit by chunks of armour or other sort of debris.
the fight follows canon up until barnaby intends on delivering the final kick
« so this is it, eh? take care lil’ bunny…»
this time, the kick connects.
Tumblr media
at this point kaede is inconsolable, not being able to handle the fact that the broadcast cut and she can’t check her father’s condition in real time anymore. the heroes’ attempt at getting her to speak or to tell them who her guardian is is met with choked sobs and no response.
there’s two way i see her finding out about her father’s defeat, and subsequent death:
the least traumatic, but still traumatic option: the feed was the last time she ever saw her father. the heroes only hear that « the criminal has been captured/dealt with by barnaby » on their private channel so they slowly excuse themselves and disperse, leaving kaede alone. some of the security guards approach her, trying to get a number to contact but eventually learn that she wasn’t speaking and let her sit there for a bit before calling the authorities.
the intensely traumatic “whoa you ruined a perfectly good 10-11 year old” option: as kaede grows increasingly distressed and the heroes try to keep her under control, she sees members of staff trying to cart something off discreetly. she gets a quick glance on what is being carried and recognises the hand poking out under the large tarp covering the rest of the body. it had her father’s wedding band, which he continued to wear, and upon realising what had happened, she immediately goes catatonic and wouldn’t react to the heroes anymore.
she either sits in the empty building until very late at night, sits outside on the bus stop with no intention of getting on simply watching the last of the buses disappear in the horizon, or waits at the police station with no intention of telling them who to call.
she eventually reaches the conclusion that her father will probably never come back as he died on her own and breaks down.
much like option 1) she sits in the empty building, waiting for someone who will never return.
in both options, ben ex machina (yes kaede got demoted in this au im sorry) finds her and explains to her that he was her father’s boss. this gained her attention somewhat, and she let him drive her back home after he told her that her grandmother has been frantically contacting ben after realising that kaede wouldn’t pick up.
during all this, she remains silent and out of it, still not fully accepting that her father wasn’t coming back home: kaede knows it’s no use to wait for her father anymore, but doesn’t outwardly admit the fact just in case he really is alive. she knows she’s just lying to herself.
on their way back to the kaburagi home, ben explains to her that he tried to get on that bridge as fast as possible to intercept the two, but only arrived after barnaby had left the scene. he doesn’t go into much detail, but does give her the few things he had found and recognised was kotetsu’s:
the tiger emblem that he kept this whole time
the two matching christmas pins that (unknowingly to both ben and kaede) he shared with his former partner
the first sound kaede makes in a long time is more wracking sobs as she clutches the small objects.
she passes out sometimes during transit, and wakes up the next afternoon in her room, the memorabilia safe in her pocket.

the next day, hero tv, and the organisations that funds it, refuses to make an official statement on kotetsu’s whereabouts after being intercepted by barnaby—they know that the latter murdered kotetsu, but they avoid the question in order to save his and the company’s reputation. they would answer something like:
kotetsu running away
being imprisoned for 250 years, with no visitors.
accidentally got himself killed
for the most part, the general populace accepted this outcome and thanked the diligent work of the heroes, but kaede and her family know better. kotetsu wasn’t the type to just leave, and he wouldn’t have committed murder in the first place. this official statement further cemented the fact that kotetsu had died—been killed. within sternbild, another powerful figure also doubted the credibility of the statement. yuri would literally see the red flags, but the situation really isn’t in his favour and he doesn’t know where to even tackle this. he’d need to do more digging up before planning out his attack.
kaede concludes (correctly) that barnaby was behind her father’s death, and possessed with anger and hatred, decided that she will get revenge one way or another and prove her father’s innocence.

basic plot
headcanon form now, because it’s more convenient.
the lead-up:
during the few days/weeks that followed, she barely went out of her room unless necessary.
she barely ate, even ignoring the flan pudding she adored so much.
in her self-imposed isolation, she marinates in her own grief, which turns into anger and hatred.
at first she regrets not having spent more time with her father and reaching out to him, instead of expecting kotetsu to do that for her.
but the focus slowly shifts to wanting to make kotetsu’s murderer suffer as he has made her dad suffer.
you know what, throw in the rest of the heroes.
they should’ve been kotetsu’s friend and believed him instead of pursuing him relentlessly: they’re complicit too and should be punished accordingly.
it’s important to note that, since kaede didn’t interact with maverick and inherit his next power, she doesn’t know that the heroes have been brainwashed.
she just thinks that they’re secretly an evil group posing to be heroes.
she loses faith in them, and their flawed justice that got her father killed
she wants to avenge her father and prove his innocence so badly, but doesn’t know how or where to begin. the odds are stacked against her, since only her family and a few people here and there believe in kotetsu’s innocence.
while she’s holed up in her room, she mindlessly replays the video clips that featured her dad over and over again until she memorised every single word and committed her father’s movements to memory.
one day, as she flips through the different collectibles and magazines that featured him, she came across one such issue which showcased a different type of “hero”: the sanctioner with blue flames.
the vigilante who’s idea of justice was becoming more and more appealing to kaede the more she thought about it.
she’s seen the clips, how his next power allowed him to continually keep up with the 100 power duo. how it always allowed him to have the upper hand and to deliver his justice.
kaede wants that kind of strength, that kind of power, to avenge her father.
she resolves herself to find or contact the vigilante no matter how, though that seemed to be a complicated enough task in and of itself.
kaede figures that when she does find him, she’ll either get him to work with her to get her revenge or copy his power if he refuses.
her searches prove more or less fruitless tho since lunatic can't be found when he doesn't want to be found lmao
after a few weeks/months, she grows disheartened and becomes rather depressed again.
the actual encounter:
i don’t have an actually have a concrete idea on how they met and how kaede convinced yuri to work with her, just a bunch of possibilities going from plausible to straight up crack
one way she could meet him is by bumping into judge petrov when she’s tagging along with her fam to try and claim kotetsu’s body.
the intent was to go to sternbild to recover kotetsu so that they can bury him in the family grave (and rejoin tomoe), but since the city refuses to acknowledge that kotetsu is dead and admit that a hero killed a person, the kaburagi fam can’t get his body back.
very sad times, maybe after the unsuccessful hearing kaede cries and rlly begs to be able to get her father back, and grabs hold of yuri to make her point come across or something.
do you even see a judge when you try to claim a criminal’s body? idk it’s probably illegal to make physical contact w a judge but kaede is only bby so maybe she won't go to jail? i don’t know i’m dum
anyway, he’d probably carefully peel the child off of him and say something vaguely sympathetic before going wherever the hell judges go after trial? court? i know nothing about the legal system and it shows
uh oh skin to skin contact
kaede unwittingly copies his power and moves on with her day. it wasn’t until she came home and felt a burst of anger that she noticed that??? she can summon blue flames??? like lunatic does??? except she doesn’t recall meeting him at all???
she puts two and two together and susses yuri out
or instead of literally harassing him in court
maybe she just stumbles on lunatic because his favourite hobbies are standing ominously on roofs and killing murderers, in that order.
kaede: why is there a funny looking scarecrow on the roof…???
kaede: hoLY HECK
how she manages to get lunatic on her side is more convoluted
one way would be her going back to the city and confronting yuri about it. of course, he’d deny her claim until she gets angry enough and her eyes light up.
yuri’s like “oh sHIT”.
she could threaten him by saying that if he won’t help her then she will just seek her revenge by herself.
yuri doesn’t want her to do anything rash and cause him to get in hot water because he rlly doesn't want to deal w/ the aftermath. also he doesn’t want to like, see a whole child get hurt :(
so i guess he’s like, “this is my lot in life now”, and accepts to take her as his apprentice so long as she doesn’t cause any trouble
that was the peaceful route
kaede could also fight fire with fire
just hound down lunatic instead of yuri and when she finds him it’s on sight. chuck a whole fireball to catch his attention and demand that he takes her as his apprentice. idk maybe threaten to fight him mono e mono unless he complies.
lunatic would probably just ghost her lmao
but she’d continue to show up whenever he’s raring to kill a murderer so maybe he’ll accept because it’s getting more disruptive if he doesn’t
if anything, her persistence would impress him somewhat: she’s determined, and even when she’s only had the flames for like, what? 3 days? she can already control it well enough to shoot projectiles. she has potential and would be a helpful ally instead of burdening him.
the chaotic crackhead route is for kaede to somehow get her hands on yuri’s address and bully him until he listens to her
just show up outside his room at 3 am, eyes glowing, floating 3 feet from the ground. hell, t-pose outside his window.
terrorise him.
she’d play loud music or shout at him day in day out
she may even follow him to work and just pester him
constantly asking him to mentor her so she can have her revenge, poking and prodding about his secret night job as lunatic
kaede will leave mama petrov alone this doesn’t concern her
her beef isn’t w mama petrov
ever since that encounter, yuri has not known peace
yuri has 2 ghosts to deal with
that’s 2 too many
he’s gonna take one out
the minimum age of criminal responsibility in japan is 14, while in new york it’s 18 (thanks google)
take your pick
kaede is 10-11
so either way yuri can’t take her to jail for harassment
she’s coming out of this scott free
he snaps and literally begs her to stfu if he follows her wish :b:lease
he hasn’t slept for 34 days
regardless, kaede will come out victorious and yuri is now stuck with a child
on a more serious note, yuri’s and kaede’s agenda are the same and it just so happens that their goals align. he has been suss since day one ever since the kotetsu debacle.
in hindsight maverick really should’ve brainwashed the only judge, the person in charge of the justice bureau, the curator who has access to the hero’s files
maybe i’m jumping to conclusion
for all i know maybe maverick also attempted to invite yuri to that announcement “party” thing
but yuri was like
« no ? fuck off »
and went on his way
yuri wants to look oddly menacing in his basement dungeon thing
and maverick brushed it off because he didn’t think yuri was lunatic, or a next one the first place
we know that yuri learns that maverick is behind all of this and is probably a next on his own, but decides against taking action. i suppose in canon because he knows it’s not his battle to see through, but in the au maybe because he knows he’s fighting a losing battle. also he kinda injured his arm after being shot by H-01, so he doesn’t want to fight with a handicap.
he doesn’t want to take any rash action and cause more problems for himself.
potentially putting his whole secret identity scheme in jeopardy.
he chooses to take a moment to regroup and plan his actual attack. he couldn’t take on 7 heroes and 1 android at once, and risk getting brainwashed too.
at first, even if working together seem to only benefit kaede, the situation also gives yuri some strategic advantages.
like once he finds out that kaede’s power is a mimic ability, not the flame ability. i feel like he’d find that hella useful
also kaede is a child who’s also basically a nobody in sternbild. she can infiltrate spaces he can’t, and not raise any suspicion.
  possible denouements:
i see 3 major endings possible, with secondary endings which is just a one of the 3 major endings with some slight changes:
1. all sinners must die ending
pretty self explanatory. kaede gets her revenge: with the help of lunatic she kills barnaby and maverick, potentially killing or maiming the rest of the heroes. her father has been avenged, but the city is more or less in a panic because there are no more heroes to protect them. “faith” in the vigilante, or at least in kaede, plummets because they attacked “innocent” people. it’s possible that she brings her father’s framing to light (but not that the heroes were brainwashed), though it’s doubtful that she gets the chance after causing such an uproar.
kaede probably never learns the truth: that the heroes were brainwashed.
this may or may not leave kaede incredibly bitter and nihilistic, as even though she got her revenge she doesn’t feel any satisfaction or sense of closure. she doesn’t get any form of catharsis and probably still has a difficult time moving on and coping with her grief. the city of sternbild adopts a very cold atmosphere and regains a strong distrust towards nexts, kaede may or may not continue to be a vigilante as she’s still trapped in grief limbo, yuri has to deal with the messy aftermath.
overall, it’s probably the worst possible ending.
of schemes and double agents ending
a kinda slow burn route, i suppose? in this ending, kaede realises that the heroes are being manipulated unlike in the previous one. she decides to restore the hero’s memories one by one and getting them to secretly help her. i don’t think she could recruit everyone, but i’m thinking about those like blue rose, who seemed to remember somewhat after kotetsu’s speech thing. kaede could slowly remind them, and despite initial mistrust and animosity they would come round and realise there was a huge discrepancy in their memory.
outright rebelling against maverick would be rash and the heroes risk being brainwashed once more, so they figure they would pull the strings somewhat and provide kaede/lunatic with internal knowledge to help them.
in the epic showdownTM, when the heroes and kaede finally have a face off, barnaby (and those who weren’t approached by kaede) would experience quite a curveball: those who regained their memories would side with kaede.
safety in solitude ending
in this ending, kaede works alone (with lunatic) without having recruited the other heroes even after realising they’ve been brainwashed. perhaps because it’d be too risky just in case they get brainwashed again or that they don’t agree with the vigilante’s idea and rat them out, whatever the reason may be the duo works alone.
this will lead into an even more epic showdownTM where it’s 2 v. 8: even though the stakes are not in the duo’s favour they somehow manage to come triumphant? or maybe the heroes regain their memories one by one and decide to stop fighting, even though they don’t exactly join the duo’s side.
constants:
maverick dies. lunatic kills him. i doubt many are against the idea though.
barnaby’s memories would be the last one she “restores”: (courtesy of my friend) it would probably go something like, in a burst of anger she jumps him and gets his hundred power. as she punches at him, she tearfully confronts him about how her father must’ve felt in his last moments and how much kotetsu seemed to adore him back when he was alive.
if bunny dies (ending 2/ending 3) kaede would not feel as angry and cynical, but more regretful or grievous. she’d probably stop using her next powers to do much anything (instead of continuing to be a vigilante like in ending 1). she’ll move on eventually, with more than less difficulty. the city of sternbild is on edge, but continue to place their faith on heroes.
if bunny lives (ending 2/ending 3), kaede would get a stronger sense of closure as she would be able to dialogue with bunny. barnaby would however, feel unending grief once he realises what he has done.
regardless if bunny is dead or not, the truth is revealed to the general public along with maverick’s scheme and true intent in ending 2 and 3. so basically canon episode 25 ending except more angst and kotetsu is dead a while ago
not a constant… but it’s possible that because of lunatic’s whole code being “kill murderers and those who protect them” he’d be displeased with kaede choosing to spare bunny. maybe he’s the last boss… kaede and bunny defeat lunatic with 100 power, much like barnaby used to do with kotetsu?... nah that’s too messy and honestly i prefer lunatic and kaede to remain on peaceful terms lmao
lunatic’s satisfied with killing maverick, he’ll back off of this one—barnaby was manipulated anyway. so technically... it wasn’t his conscious decision nor his fault???
basically i don’t want kaede to fight her mentor figure, but i’m merely acknowledging the possibility.
actually…
maybe he walks up towards barnaby, the other heroes too beat up to do anything but watch while kaede remains by barnaby’s side
and lunatic just stands ominously in front of bunny, looking like he’s about to shoot him
but then he turns away
« hmph, how ridiculous. repent for the rest of your life, barnaby brooks jr. »
and then lunatic disappears in a flash, leaving a singed mark—the only proof that he had stood there.
heck, remember how she recovered the christmas pins? she could chuck those angrily at barnaby’s general direction to put emphasis.
kaede knows she’ll never be able to bring her father back, but she’d manage her grief easier. if barnaby lives, kaede would probably become a hero to honor her father and to use her power for good as her father would’ve wanted her to do.
Tumblr media
miscellaneous
headcanons in no particular order, certainly not chronological. crack, fluff, angst, just whatever comes to mind. for ease of reading, i will try to organise them thematically.
relationships
tiger x bunny
rest in peace king, you will be missed.
kotetsu ded so the gay cannot be, rip in species.
but i’m putting this here because prior to the brainwashing they do be kinda gay tho, and even if kaede doesn’t know the exact nature of the relationship between the two she knows that her father was very fond of barnaby and cared for him deeply.
lunatic | yuri petrov & kaede
this au is pretty lunatic & kaede centric, because well,,, kotetsu kicked the bucket, and barnaby and the heroes are considered the villains here
i see lunatic and kaede having a mentor-student kind of relationship, that can be fluffy sometimes a found family trope could eventually be established, but that’s super delicate
on another note, if you really want to fuck up your 11 year old because you absolutely want to give kaede the worst possible outcomes for some reason, she could—as a young child who has lost both her parents at a very young age—develop an unhealthy dependence on this [lunatic] new authority figure. she might incorrectly interpret his concern for familial care, etc… but i’m not even going there, that’s too messy.
tbh the real tragedy would be kaede imprinting on yuri’s garbage sense of fashion… the secret to dressing well died with kotetsu.
idk if i should explicit this, but just in case: this is not a romantic ship please don’t come for my throat. literally this au was created because i wanted to see kaede start shit—just go absolutely feral and start chaos lmao
i would like snapshots of him teaching her how to control the flames better but also look out for her general well being because this kid has issues. basically give me a montage of yuri mentoring kaede and slowly becoming fond of her or give me death:
lunatic probably made his own costume so? i’d like to imagine yuri takes the time to make one for kaede too?? also he makes sure it wooshes cool in the wind and idk, flammable enough to allow her to burn the cape off before she attacks???
just yuri hand sewing some apparels for kaede uwu
also give me vaguely domestic yuri or give me death
also mayhaps, gives kaede affirming headpats?
like if she performs well and her mastery over her powers improves in leaps and bounds? or when she finally unlocks a skill she’s been struggling with for a bit?? just a proud head pat and a well-intentioned-but-cold-sounding « well done »???
maybe when kaede first actually learns how to use her powers, her emotions might get the best of her or maybe she’s plain nervous because fire = danger and scary.
and it shows because the flames grow more erratic and out of her control, and yuri grows very concerned for her well being because he doesn’t want her to get burnt like he did when he first awakened his power.
before it all degenerates, he helps calm her down and prevent his house from burning down. or wherever he goes to when he’s doing lunatic stuff…
a dungeon ?
his basement ?
my basement don’t look like that
we know where all the judge money is going: renovating the basement
much like her mentor, when she gets rlly angry her eyes burst into flames. to prevent her from getting into trouble by accidentally activating her power and injuring someone or simply revealing her identity, yuri would teach her grounding exercises or anchoring phrases that he himself uses.
idk just teach her breathing techniques to ease her anxiety or a mantra to recite if she feels like she’s gonna set someone on fire
also idk if i should give kaede a different weapon from lunatic (i know i will because the crossbow is lunatic’s aesthetic, and his only), but i like to imagine yuri teaching her how to shoot crossbows and her becoming oddly proficient at it
grandma kaburagi wondering why kaede has wicked aim all of the sudden
tbh kaede would just shoot w her hands. just pew pew finger.
or she does the kamehameha thing she did w blue rose’s power lmao
at first he kinda sees being responsible for her as a bit of a chore and annoying, but maybe he slowly grows fond of her and idk, dotes on her.
protecc the bby
help her do her homework
« i’ve only had kaede for a day and a half. but if anything happened to her, i would kill everyone in this room and then myself. »
on the flipside, at first kaede thought that yuri is hecking weird, man. just creepy suspicious prosecutor dude who she allies with because revenge girl rlly wants revenge
but he grows on her and kaede thinks he’s not so bad after all. an good authority figure whom she respects and cares for
she still probably thinks he’s hella weird tho
kinda weird but also sometimes kinda cool
eccentric but like in a good way
like your weird neighbour henry who means well despite what he says sometimes
kaede would learn his corny cool catchphrases and repeat them when she’s out and about as a vigilante.
just adopt/mimic his speech pattern of saying things slowly for more oomph
gotta do the whole code of justice and thanatos speech before she bombards barnaby with flaming arrows
yuri feels oddly proud
they’re both probably hella protective over each other tho. because that’s just kaede’s personality and yuri feels responsible for the safety of this child that he has been entrusted with.
children love sweets right? yuri secretly likes sweets. they can share sweets after setting murderers on fire uwu
idk man i just want some good mentor-apprentice relationship
it doesn’t have to always be angst
we can have fluff
maybe they can learn from each other and be semi-functional human beings
that thing where the apprentice’s outfit is like directly taken from their mentor’s but also vaguely different. i want that.
sometimes the real revenge is the friends you make along the way uwu
  school + domestic life
ok so like
kaede gets big depressed because duh your dad just got murdered by his partner
and she rlly misses him and wished she was more understanding back then. she wished she spent more time w him back when he was alive
but it’s too late now and that makes her big depressed
so i feel like for the first few weeks/months after her father’s death, kaede wouldn’t go to school?? and i feel like her grandmother would understand and just like
not pester her about it and let her sort out her emotions first before talking to kaede about the elephant in the room
but also like, the school board also agrees to wait it out because the parents are kinda iffy about what has transpired
to be fair, oriental town is probably one of those small towns where everyone knows each other? so the parents/adults who know kotetsu are like??? kotetsu wouldn’t kill a person??
but the children who are more connected to the media and don’t know him personally believe that kotetsu murdered someone and deserved to be “arrested”? because why would you doubt hero tv and the heroes, they’re the good guys after all.
so when kaede found it within herself to finally go back to school, she has a rude awakening and learns that words travel fast in a small community
the other kids, not knowing any better, believed that kotetsu is a criminal w their whole chest and started all kinds of rumours on kaede
when she went to class she was greeted w her desk being pushed far away from the rest of the class, the other students steering clear from her
all sorts of nasty things were carved/marked with a sharpie on her locker and table—some others stuck paper with w the word “murderer” on it
kaede lost most of her friends and the rest of the classmates avoided her like the plague as they say vile things about her and her father
« look she’s back »
they don’t even try to hide the fact or bother to mask their voice and speak in a hushed whisper.
« they said her father killed someone, who knows what she could do »
so kaede hears everything.
« don’t get close to her, or we might end up finding your body in a ditch »
kaede doesn’t follow through, but sometimes she thinks about running away from school to escape the bullying.
« come to think of it, she was always weird wasn’t she? she’s so creepy! »
maybe at some point it gets so disruptive that kaede can’t have a functional or healthy school life due to the constant harassment and alienation, so the school board agreed to let kaede do the rest of the year through online classes or homeschooling
in a way this works out very well for kaede, because it allows her more freetime to do vigilante stuff and she gets to avoid people’s gaze.
she’s grown to dislike them, the scornful gaze of her peers and the pity from the adults.
the student’s parents always come to apologise to her, but for some reason their pity infuriates her to no end.
sadly this means that kaede isn’t as cheerful as before and becomes more closed off and reserved :(
kaede would continue to do ice skating tho
because it’s her passion
but also because she’s obstinate like that
« oh the others don’t want me here? they hate me?? they think i don’t belong on the ice??? they can go stick it, i’m gonna be amazing out of spite! »
at home kaede becomes even more protective over her grandmother, as seeing as she’s being homeschooled means she gets to spend more time w her and help her out with the housework
idk the blue flames could be handy for doing housework
oh the stove won’t light up? oh you’re gonna go get a different lighter? nice this is a convenient time to use my next power to spark the stove! when grandma is back kaede is just like « look i got it to light up, guess u didn’t have to go through all that trouble huh? » :D
since the fire doesn’t burn indiscriminately, could she, theoretically, control the heat/where it burns to make laundry dry faster???
kaede nearly gets a heart attack seeing the new scarecrow for grandma’s cabbage patch, but turns out she just found kaede’s vigilante costume laying around and didn’t think twice about it
bonus points of grandma uses lunatic himself as a scarecrow
lunatic would make an incredible scarecrow fight me
despite not being able to retrieve kotetsu’s body to bury him with tomoe, kaede often visits their family grave and the shrine in kotetsu’s room and bring them flowers.
she knows she’s just talking to air, but she likes to recount her day to her parents. about whatever she’s up to, and keeping them updated on everyone’s condition: grandma and uncle are doing well. grandma is still healthy thank god, while uncle sometimes like to joke about how his store is terribly quiet now without kotetsu around.
she tells them the whole truth, how she found lunatic and was going to avenge her father. that she was going to prove his innocence to everyone, if it was the last thing she’ll ever do.
in a bittersweet way, it comforts her somewhat that her father is finally with his wife again and that they’re both watching over her.
of next powers and secret identities
to this day, kaede is the only one who knows about yuri’s secret identity
they’re both complicit in this secret matter
schemes
this continues even after the endings
even if she became a hero she’d refuse to reveal lunatic’s real identity
it’s a matter of principle
she will always hold a great deal of respect for her mentor
schemes
on another note, i’m fixing kaede’s next power because it’s too broken and is kinda inconvenient lmao: in this au she needs actual skin-to-skin contact to assimilate someone else’s next power, so if the individual is wearing gloves or touching clothes it won’t work.
adding on to this, kaede starts wearing gloves when she’s up and about so that she can limit the amount of nexts she may unknowingly make contact with and keep her current ability [blue fire].
the power would be super useful tho. like you can make yourself disappear into a puff of flames,,, so theoretically if kaede finds herself in a situation she’d rather not be in she can just ghost you irl
« y’all ugly. boom. »
remember how kaede’s room is filled to the brim w barnaby merch???
great for target practice and for letting out your anger
also to dramatically scribble out the eyes in black sharpie to get the revenge girl aesthetic
oh man she’ll probably be sad that she snipped her father off from that one picture with barnaby
in that regard her attitude towards bunny will take a complete 180
she used to think the world of him, but now all she thinks about is crushing him under her heel
also, i know she’d imitate lunatic’s whole speech thing, but what if she repeated her father’s catchphrase to provoke barnaby?
also in homage of her dad ofc
« it’s time to let out a wild roar! »
*strikes pose*
*angery barnaby noises*
what if as time goes on it gets increasingly harder and harder to hide the fact that kaede is a vigilante.
like at first, her family is like “oh she’s grieving in her own way, let’s give her some space” and they’re surprised by how well kaede is taking it because she’s so calm, even if she’s more distant
while kaede sneaks out at night to start shit
and her grandmother starts to notice how she seems more alert and jumpy, or sleep deprived. how kaede seemed to be hiding bruises and injuries, and tries to clean her wounds herself late at night.
when asked kaede would deny everything and say she doesn’t use her next powers anymore because it freaks her out
but grandma is suss
she concerned for her granddaughter
maybe she doesn’t know about kaede’s secret identity but maybe she finds out she’s been meeting with yuri
a grandma beats up a man in his late 20s-mid 30s on live television
maybe at some point the heroes learn kaede’s real age, or assume correctly that she’s barely a teen and they’re like
is lunatic forcing you to do this ?
you don’t have to do something you don’t want to
it’s not too late for you if you give up
when rlly this was all kaede’s choice in the first place, not even lunatic’s
and that assumption rlly makes kaede angry, because their inactivity led to her father’s death and forced her hands
so it’s not their place to act like they’re concerned for her and her safety
just rlly distrust and dislike the heroes
has a strong disdain for them
real talk, but kaede doesn’t know that the heroes were brainwashed. that’s why she’s able to be so ruthless against them, because she thinks they’re evil and working for some big conspiracy while playing a helpful and friendly front.
but when/if she does learn the truth? the kotetsu factor jumps out.
they aren’t acting as if they were the good guys, they rlly think that they are because to them they just took out another criminal and not their longtime friend.
she’ll have an inner conflict. because on one hand, the heroes don’t know any better and are being manipulated so it would be cruel to punish them so harshly. on the other hand, they got her dad killed and for that she wants to inflict them as much pain and grief as they have caused her.
the kotetsu factor would keep her going tho. now she’s determined to not only clear her father’s name, but also restore everyone’s memory, because it’s the right thing to do.
but now everytime she has to face them and fight, she feels a slight hesitancy and feels sorry for them.
mayhaps blue rose as double agent ???
origami got big double agent potential, but he wasn’t having any of kotetsu’s shit so alas
another important character we gotta talk about: h-01
hear me out
so the android isn’t built with a voice box so it can’t speak. it don’t got any acoustics. but because of maverick’s brainwashing, when the heroes talk to the empty air they hear “tiger’s” response, which is purely borne from their own psychosis.
h-01: …
barnaby: perfect idea tiger, you can cover me
or
rock bison: who is that guy?
h-01: …
rock bison: yeah they look very suspicious to me too…
or
or
h-01: …
barnaby: i know!
anyway, it’s very weird and surreal to watch
just the heroes having a very one sided conversation
lunatic and kaede don’t know what to make of it and finds it really bizarre, because they know the android isn’t saying anything at all
yet the heroes are convinced he’s communicating with them
so maybe if kaede manages to restore someone’s memory, they start to notice that “tiger” doesn’t actually talk. he never did this whole time.
and it gets hard to come up with a response and pretend he answered them.
the restored heroes also find it super creepy how it’s just silent and watching, how the others seem to think that the robot can speak.
maybe this will cause some suspicion amongst the heroes (who will brush it off) and maverick, and the restored hero will have to pretend to still be brainwashed to not get manipulated a second time
basically h-01 is creepy and just generally not fun to be around

Quiet.
It was the first thing he had told her to be as he welcomed her into the living room space. And yet barely ten minutes later, here he was releasing the most erotic noises that seemed to rise each time his lips parted.
"Please..." He begins to lowly plead with a shaky breath. "Please...don't stop," His weak demand found her ears, and she was quick to oblige to what he wanted.
Her hands ran up his exposed thighs, feeling them tremble underneath her touch. Laying back against the couch with his legs parted, his jeans and briefs were pooled at his feet as she was settled between him on her knees.
They were surrounded by darkness with the exception of the full moon illuminating enough light for them to see each other...and it was all they needed.
"Go deeper," He grunts out, lifting up his shirt enough to display his toned stomach. Through low lids hidden behind his long bangs, he watches her practically swallow his length with no hesitation. The sight alone burning permanently inside his mind. "Again,"
A deep moan released from his throat as she did it once more, allowing the tip of his dick to hit the back of her throat. Her soft gags were nothing short of sinful causing him to roll his hips just to hear her make the noise again. But even with her mouth full of him, she didn't let up, forcing herself to breathe through her nose instead.
She expertly hallowed her cheeks as she pulled back, teasingly sucking at his weeping head, tasting the unique liquid of his precum. Her eyes took in the shine her saliva left behind before connecting with his. A wave of heat spread across her skin from his intense gaze, one that only made the ache between her thighs more potent.
"Keep going," He encourages, using one of his hands to grip the base of his dick to tap it against her lips. "Make me cum all over that beautiful face of yours," His lewd words caused her to smirk because she witnessing a side of him that she always knew existed.
There was always something in the way Chittaphon looked or even the way he did certain things that made her curious. He had ways that were playful but it was always clear to Kiya that his nature still oozed dominance. Even without trying, his sex appeal was something serious and he knew it. There weren't many things that he took seriously with the exception of his closes friends.
With most things that he did or dabbled in were always for an in the moment type of thing. Never to be taken seriously, which was why none of his "relationships" ever lasted. And after being good friends with him for the last four years, it was a trait that Kiya picked up on immediately.
She thought that having knowledge of his ways that she wouldn't be so foolish enough to develop feelings for him past friendship but of course, she couldn't have been more wrong.
And with Chittaphon being as observant as he was, was very aware. All it took was a couple of shots into her system to have her agree to go back to his shared apartment just to see what could happen.
Now here they were inside of his living room past two in the morning with him about to lose his mind at the sound of her choking on his dick.
Squeezing his thighs, Kiya's mouth wrapped around his head once again as she used her tongue to apply pressure in an area underneath it that had him shivering from the unexpected delectation. With his teeth sinking into his bottom lip, he held the sides of her head and pushed her down the rest of his length, watching as he disappeared past her lips.
Her pace was a steady, and slow one at first, simply because she enjoyed how he felt. Just like the rest of him, his dick was just as alluring as he was. So perfectly inched and thick, forcing her jaws to accommodate to his size.
"Look at me," He softly demands, brushing his thumb across her cheek until her eyes lifted to met his. "You look so beautiful like this..." He trails off, finding himself in somewhat of a daze at her plump lips wrapped him so enticingly.
Kiya in return moaned around him, using the moment to bob her head up and down his length with more urgency. The wet sounds her mouth produced each time she pulled back begun to mix in with his soft groans and whimpers, filled the silence around them, indicating to whoever was listening knew exactly what they were doing.
It was the feeling of her hands finally massaging his balls that had him lifting his hips off the couch and finding himself fucking into her mouth as his deep moans came out louder than expected. "Fuck, Kiya...your mouth...d-don't stop," He could feel his toes curl inside of his shoes, while she continued to practically suck the soul out of him.
His ass barely had the chance to met the cushion when he felt her pull away from him, the feeling of her tongue moving against his sac ripping a whiny cry from his throat. The muscles of his stomach visible clenched, displaying how close he truly was.
Kiya could feel the temperature in the room get more heated as she used one of her hands to jerk him while the other slid up his chest to tweak at his nipple. It was a combination of everything that she was doing that was driving Ten absolutely insane. He couldn't help the noises that he was making, how easily her name fell from his lips in chants.
He was convinced that he became harder from her ministrations. The way her tongue swirled around his balls then back up his dick as if she was truly making love to it using her mouth was ridiculous. "Put it back in your mouth...make me cum," He instructs, watching her use the tip of her tongue to tease the head of his dick.
With his fingers gripping tightly at her curls, Ten moved her in the way he wanted, panting at her skilled muscle bringing him closer to his release. His hair started to stick to his forehead, as his body was coated with a shine of sweat. "Ugh...ugh...baby please...suck me just like that," He praises, letting his head fall back against the couch. His tone was louder but he no longer cared about being heard...not with what she was doing to him.
Kiya could feel herself leaking into her panties as she looked up at him. Her pussy was begging to be touched. So to cater to her needs, she reached a hand between her thighs and pulled her panties to the side. Her fingers immediately found her heated core which made her involuntarily moan around Ten's dick with her eyes almost rolling to the back of her head.
She was soaked and it was all because of him.
"Keep playing with yourself...I'm right there," His husky tone caught her attention, bringing her back to the task at hand. He felt heavier against her tongue and she knew he was close. "Rub your clit harder for me baby..."
With is chest quickly rising and falling, Ten watched and listened to Kiya do as he said all while her head bobbed up and down his dick without missing a beat. His handsome face scrunched up as his hips bucked, sitting their own rhythm to match Kiya's movements.
When his eyes found hers, he started to feel himself tip over the edge and fall. Why did she have to look so fucking sexy like this?
"Oh, Kiya...I'm about to cum..." He chants lowly, feeling himself losing control over his stuttering hips. "Take all of it, baby..." Was his last request as his back arches, releasing his seed into her mouth and down her throat where she swallowed him just as he wanted. The vibrations of her groaning at the sight him made his dick twitch against her tongue, even as she pulled away once she was done.
After a minute, Ten relaxed against the couch with his eyes focused on the bit of cum that escaped out of the side of her mouth. Though his breathing was harsh, he sat up a bit, licking his own lips. "Come here,"
Kiya barely registered what he said when she felt him grip her the arms and pull her towards him and into his lap to straddle his waist. "Ten...wait-" She barely manages to say once she sees him leaning in and placing his lips against hers.
In an instant he pushed his tongue into her mouth, tasting himself against her warm muscle. It was one of the most salacious things he's done and one of the first. This was nothing like him, however, with Kiya and the way she looked...how she made him feel just a minute ago, he just couldn't help himself.
Pushing her hips down against him, a smirk formed on his face at the small whimper she released. "You did this..." He explains, rocking her back and forth over his still hard member. "I need you right now Kiya...please, please let me feel you,"
Kiya found herself softly smiling at him before she moved away from him and stood up. "That bad huh?" She teases, tugging her dress up higher until it bunched around her small waist. "Tell me, Chittaphon..."
Rolling his eyes, Ten knew what game she was playing at and usually, he wouldn't bother with her antics but now...things were different. Pushing his damp bangs back with his fingers, Ten finally slips out of his shoes and kicks away his jeans and briefs, along with his shirt, leaving him completely naked for her to see. With his dick hard, and pointing upwards, he shows her just how badly he desires her.
This was no longer a game to him.
"Please Kiya, come fuck me," He shamelessly begs, eyeing her figure from head to toe. "I want you so badly, please don't deny me,"
In an instant Kiya had her panties pulled down her legs and found herself straddling his lap once more. She rolled her hips against his, earning a hiss in return from her teasing. "Stop playing games and fuck me right now," He urged, wrapping one arm around her waist as the other gripped at his dick and lined it up at her entrance. "Let me inside of you..."
It was all Kiya needed for her to slowly sink down onto his length, her arms immediately wrapping themselves around his shoulders in an attempt to hold onto something. The feeling of her wet, velvety like walls engulfing him was everything bit of euphoric. The throaty moan he released once he was fully inside of her made his grip on her waist tightened, in an attempt not to move as he wanted.
"Take this off," He demands, pulling the red bodycon dress over her head, leaving him with a surprising view of her braless chest. His mouth was quick to attach to her right breast as he felt her womanhood squeeze around him. "Move..."
His words fell weakly passed his lips but nonetheless, Kiya lifted herself up and sank back down, once...twice... before she sensually rolled her hips. Everything from the way her smooth skin felt against his, to her sweet scent and the way her body fit so well with his was slowly driving him crazy.
He knew that he wasn't going to last long.
"Why do you feel so good?" He groans into her chest, bucking his hips into her every time she slid down. Her pussy seemed to have a firm grip around him, making him feel every little move she made. The sound of her ass hitting his thighs was a symphony he wanted to hear more of. His heavy pants were muffled against her chest as she held him close, running her hands through his hair as she rode him like she's always imagined she would in her dreams.
His hands caressed her back while he tried to control his moans, but he could feel himself getting close to the edge again.
No one had made him feel like this. There was no one that he could just let them go back to just being friends after tonight. This...whatever they were creating already had him addicted. Maybe his other hookups were pointless interactions but that was beyond the case with Kiya.
He wanted more.
Letting his back meet the couch, with a new sense of determination, Ten gripped her hips tightly and moved Kiya in the manner he wanted. Her cries grew louder as well as the smacking of skin from his change of speed. The amount of pleasure the both of them were feeling came in waves that seemed to be never-ending.
To fuck her just right was the plan and he made sure to deliver just that.
"Bounce on it harder, Kiya...all of this is yours...you hear me?... Don't stop...yeah, just like that..."

This might seem like an odd choice for a list but I’m going to be honest, going into Summer 2017 there were only a few shows that on reading the synopsis made me want to try them and then most of those were unavailable to me. I did get to watch Elegant Yokai Apartment Life and it had the opposite problem of the write up makes it sound more fun that it is. So instead I got to just randomly sample shows that I went into expecting not to really like them very much and in some cases the results have been pleasantly surprising. That’s not to say these are the best shows I’m watching or the best on offer, only that they are actually more fun than I initially thought they would be.
Anyway, I’d love to know if there’s a show that has surprised you this Summer season by not being dreadful.
Please note: Probably only limited spoilers below.
Honourable mention this week to Princess Principal. Not only is it one of my favourite shows of the season, it is one that from the short synopsis I read and the character designs I was pretty positive I was going to drop, not because it sounded bad, but because it just didn’t sound or look like something I would enjoy. So glad I watched the first episode because it was great fun.
Number 5: 18if
After going to sleep like normal, Haruto Tsukishiro wakes up to discover something unbelievable—he’s stuck in dream world! Here, witches plague the dreamscape and are more than dreamy figments—they’re the trapped souls of young women who’ve rejected reality and are afflicted by the “Sleeping Beauty Syndrome.”
The above is the Crunchyroll synopsis and reading that it just screams that this is something to be avoided. Stuck in a dream world? Okay, here’s another chance for a writer to just be totally random for no reason. Oh, there are witches who are actually the trapped souls of young women? Suffering from a syndrome named after a fairy tale character. It all just seemed far too much like a desperate cry for attention and to be honest with each episode featuring a unique art style and tone you could be forgiven for thinking this entire story is just a project being made by an over-zealous art class full of students that all just want their turn at creating someone for Haruto to rescue. Despite that, it actually hasn’t been a bad watch. There’s been quite a bit of heart in some of the stories and there’s been enough cohesion with Haruto to carry us from story to story without too much confusion. Admittedly, this could still end very badly or not at all if they don’t bother to get to some sort of more definitive point before the season draws to a close.
Number 4: Gamers
“Would you like to be with me… in the Gamers Club?” Amano Keita is a perfectly mediocre loner with no particular distinguishing features other than his love for games. One day, his school’s prettiest girl and Gamer Club President Tendo Karen suddenly calls out to him. That moment changes Keita’s life forever, as he now finds himself in the midst of a romcom with beautiful girl gamers… or, well, that’s how it usually goes. Not with him, however.
As much as I like games and gaming, this anime didn’t exactly scream that it was something I wanted to watch. Everything about the synopsis is cliché and high school, club anime about loner boy getting targeted by the school’s ‘prettiest girl’ to join a club just didn’t seem like something I was going to get into. And the first episode more or less confirmed those fears and then it didn’t. Gamers managed to turn the trite and overused scenario on its head and admittedly it has marched us through a lot of tropes and clichés the way it manages to continue to defy audience expectations while remaining watchable is pretty amazing. The narrative is completely shot at this point because of all the twists they keep building in but it doesn’t really matter because I’m just caught up with these odd characters and their odd but charming interactions.
Number 3: Fastest Finger First
Bunzou High School is welcoming its new first-year students. One of them, Koshiyama Shiki, is chosen to participate against his will in an impromptu fast-buzzing quiz meet by the president of the Quiz Bowl Circle. As a quiet boy who loves reading and doesn’t want to stand out, Shiki is overwhelmed, but his classmate, Fukami Mari, is able to hit the buzzer and answer questions before the full question is given.
Once again, high school club with quiet boy getting dragged into things. What actually drew me to this one is that it was about quizzes and I really enjoy them so I ignored all my trepidations and took on the first episode. While I can’t say that this has truly defied any of my expectations, it is really quite watchable and mostly that is because of Koshiyama as the protagonist. He might be a quiet kid who doesn’t like standing out but there’s more to him than just that and he’s actually proving to be a reasonably well rounded protagonist. Does that make the show particularly good? Not really. Unless you like quizzes there really isn’t a lot to get into with the story. However, given what my initial thoughts were when reading that synopsis I’ve ended up finding this fairly okay.
Number 2: Clean Freak Aoyama-Kun
Aoyama kun is a hot, young soccer prodigy who plays midfielder for the National U-16 Soccer Team. But he’s also an extreme germaphobe! The TV anime adaptation of “Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama kun!” (Clean Freak!! Aoyama kun) portrays the friendships he forms and the challenges he overcomes in a “spotless” coming-of-age story!
Seriously? It is a story about a ‘hot’ soccer player who is a germaphobe and in case that isn’t enough to make your eyes roll right out your head at the sheer gimmicky nature of that match up we then get an incredibly tacky pun dropped into the synopsis just for fun. There was absolutely nothing about that write up that made this seem like it would appeal and to be honest, there’s nothing about the show that really should given its basically an episodic comedy that has a cast of overly zany characters that each seem to get one episode in the spotlight where their extreme dysfunction takes centre stage as we circle around Aoyama and then we move on. Despite that, I’ve been finding this anime oddly charming. Not every joke is a winner and some episodes are more tiresome than others, but overall, Aoyama has been kind of interesting and part of that is probably because despite the cheap jokes and gimmicks, for the most part it seems to respect people with conditions. There are a lot of tacky jokes in the series but Aoyama’s need to clean has for the most part been treated as a setting rather than the target of the humour.
Number 1: In Another World With My Smartphone
After dying as a result of God’s mistake, the main character finds himself in a parallel world, where he begins his second life. His only possessions are the body that God gave back to him and a smartphone that works even in this new world. As he meets all kinds of new people and forges new friendships, he ends up learning the secret to this world. He inherits the legacy of an ancient civilization and works together with the kings of some very laid-back countries on his carefree travels through this new world.
Right from the title you know what this show is giving you. It is another self-aware isekai story about an overpowered protagonist trapped in another world. Gimmick to throw in is he gets to take his phone with him and somehow it works. There’s really no reason at all this anime should have appealed to me and yet there’s just something about how it delivers its tropes that manages to entertain. It seldom crosses into overly cringe worthy territory and even though the last couple of episodes have started to become a little repetitive, due to Touya being all but an unstoppable force of nature at this point, there’s still plenty to make me smile about this show. Nope, it has no depth and it isn’t trying to actually make itself distinct or a satire on the genre or anything else. What it does is simply remember why these clichés became cliches and what makes them fun. It delivers lines that in most shows would all but be followed with a nudge to the audience to let us know that they are aware it is an overused line in an absolutely serious manner. Just as it delivers cloth dissolving slimes without a hint of shame. All and all, of all the shows I tried without really expecting anything from them, this one is the one I’ve ended up having the most fun with. Again, not exactly the best anime of the season but nowhere near as terrible as it could have been from that synopsis.
Over to you, which show this Summer did you find to be oddly not terrible after reading a synopsis that kind of made you wonder why you were even pressing play?
Thanks for reading.
