eddie and buck standing in the kitchen after eddie comes back—eddie's kitchen which was buck's kitchen and is now for this dreamlike moment of time buck-and-eddie's kitchen—and it's late. they've been unpacking all day and chris is asleep in his room, everyone finally where they belong, and eddie's like. hey, what're you thinking abt, bc buck can't seem to look at him and also can't seem to look away. and buck's like. oh. um. its. hah. really stupid. just. we kind of forgot to hug? but it's not—it's whatever. and eddie who has been thinking abt the exact same thing since buck gave chris a big teary bear-hug on the doorstep and then—didn't touch eddie, is like oh. well. we could do it now. you know, like a belated hello. if you want. and buck stares at him for a moment. and says, hey eddie. and eddie says, hey. and they step in close. and it's just a hug but it feels tentative. important. when buck wraps his arms around him and tucks his face into his neck, eddie can feel both their hearts racing, way too fast for what's happening. and neither of them has anywhere else to be, maybe ever again, so they hold each other tightly in the kitchen for a very very very long time.

just that the whole drug bust was basically orchestrated by samatoki in juto’s stead bro 😭😭😭😭😭 juto letting go of that need to do it all himself long enough for samatoki to do his thing, rio on support and saying there’s no need for debts between and samatoki quietly touched by it with the way he smiled at rio’s words MTC IS THE PLACE TO BE YALL 😭😭😭😭😭😭

samatoki initially offered a pirate costume for juto so he wouldn’t be recognised on their mission and juto the coward refused to wear one. samatoki tho, was very excited to wear his costume bc he was about to go wild on a ship just like pirates do lol 🤗

dice wound up being the drug peddler bc he racked up a lot of debt at a gambling den and the manager/actual drug dealer said he’d clear his slate if he did this job for him (so was tricked into it again lol). but bc dice is kinda stupid, he refused to give samatoki the goods out of fear he’d be banned from the gambling den 😒 in true sugar daddy fashion tho, samatoki offered to buy out dice’s debt if he became his henchman for the drug bust, which dice was thrilled to comply with LOL

jyushi and doppo were on board bc jyushi was requested to fill in for the jazz singer who couldn’t make the venue and doppo got a ticket for a great sales performance. bc the drug bust got kinda crazy and was freaking out the patrons, jyushi opted to soothe worries by singing for everyone. he proposed this idea to the jazz band whilst in vkei mode tho so we got to see how normal ppl don’t tend immediately understand what jyushi says whenever he talks like that lmao

the video above is samatoki saying they drugs stank and they also stupid as hell for doing them on his turf. but the way he strolls up to them and the camera pans 🆙‼️ like that is a large man!!!!! a large terrifying man who will knock you out in one blow!!!! samatoki is so scary lol!!!!!!💙💙💙

Things about Show your Shine that I really enjoyed:

First of all, I think it's cute how Saki rescued Kanade from the modeling agency in the same way Ichika protected Hanano back in Live with memories. It's a nice detail.

Secondly, this event is The Goat for Kanade's development when it comes to social interaction.

In the main story Kanade didn't care about people as much as she does now. She cared about the people she saved, not about the people themselves. She didn't need friends to compose, and so all the people around her were exclusively those she needed to keep working (Niigo and Honami)

The first step for her was to get to know Mafuyu, and in this event she doesn't just learn about Saki — a girl who she otherwise wouldn't have shown much interest in — but she urges Saki to learn about Kanade too, putting herself out there in the world to complete someone else's project.

In a sense, this even is about Kanade's kindness. The fact that her need to save people "in order to redeem herself" has grown past those boundaries.
