For the record I never thought Marrok was actually gonna be anybody important. Star Wars fans have a tendency to assume every new character who has a cool helmet is secretly someone we know but I think if they actually wanted us to think Marrok was someone we know they probably would've actually focused on him at all and given him more than one or two lines of dialogue. Sometimes characters are just there to be cool looking jobbers and that's fine.

various updates and facts about my family

my mother huffed raid bug spray and ate wallpaper paste as a child. my grandfather believes my autistic sibling is an alien and is asking him to provide the winning lottery numbers. my sister tried to kill her boyfriend recently.

My dad is getting married to his seventh wife.

And my little brother (J) is smelting pawn shop jewelry in efforts to make silver bullets to load in .22 casings

My grandfather swears he was abducted by aliens and they modified his cum.

In 2009, he attempted to trade firearms for an alleged crystal skull which he believed contained the blueprints to rebuild Atlantis.

In 2012, my family created a convey of six cars all loaded with guns, ammo, canned food, etc. in order to prepare for the apocalypse. In December of 2012, my grandfather led us to where he believed our family would hold off the forces of evil, a last bastion for our bloodline- A fucking Super8 motel in Forsyth GA.

My mother used to drink blood in the 90s and beat the shit out of football players as a hobby, so she could beef up for roller derby. She raises baby animals, and has more than once attempted to kill a man during intimacy.

All if my dad's ex wives have tried to kill him. He's had attack dogs sicced on him, beaten with a crowbar, chased with a hammer, run over with his own car, and pushed out a vehicle. His new wife was a pen pal he met when she was in jail.

My aunt believes she convenes with the angels when she's hopped up on ambien and percocet, so she's like the goth version of Mama Murphy from Fallout 4.

I was conceived in a crack den in North Carolina. My mother's organs don't like having kids, so much so that both me and my sibling (J) were born dead and had to be resuscitated. In both cases it was due to the umbilical cord playing a game of Hangman.

My little brother (J) taught Igor, our Vulture, to vomit on command. Nobody knows how.

He has been using the infestation of rats at my family's cabin to do... something. He's been running a rat cannibalism fight club, in an attempt to fish out a Super Rat which he plans to do... Something with?

My little brother (M) spends his spare time firing at passing cars. We have managed to make sure he's using BB guns, is the compromise. (J) went through a similar phase when he was an early teen, and would shoot a bow and arrow at the neighbor's house. I did the same with a potato cannon in my youth. It's a tradition.

My dad is missing his appendix. He has no idea where it went and has no record of it ever being removed.

My grandmother reluctantly admitted to having an affair with a ghost in her 40s.

My brother (M) used to love botany. By the age of 6 he could tell you anything you wanted to know about the flora of southeast GA. He had a garden. And he also grew weed for my step-dad until my mom found out. After that he was banned from gardening and picked up junior robotics as a hobby after i gave him K'nex and some Lego Mindstorms stuff years ago. He took apart an air conditioner in a motel once. To this day we don't know what he did with the screws. He builds airsoft guns from scrap and is a mechanical prodigy. He is almost illiterate.

My brother (A) disturbs me. He was raised by the internet and YouTube. He is whatever this new generation is personified. He's frighteningly... Normal.

I am waiting for the shoe to drop and for him to reveal some darkness to him never before seen in my family.

He's just. A normal kid. A little zoomer that watches Mr. Beast and YouTube long plays. He's also the straight man to most of all my family's bullshit. He's dangerously genre savvy. He also has a weird interest in law???

My sister (H) is your average country girl. She's attempted to kill more than one of her boyfriends (will clarify that they were abusive), has totaled three cars and always walks away from these nightmarish accidents unscathed. She was found on the side of the road last year hitting her vape and flagging down a car, while her own was stuck five feet above a ditch in a tree.

She has a job and plans to go to New York to "see what them city twinks got goin' on"

My other little sister (C) is the only other queer member of my sibling roster. She's a lesbian, and enjoys shooting things. Sometimes living things. She, like (A), is dangerously genre savvy and doesn't play into my family's religious fanaticism. She wants to be a firefighter because she is also a pyromaniac and wants an excuse to see "big things burn".

A bit more about (J)- He claims to speak to the dead, and has used this to become my grandfather's right hand man, and the beneficiary of his estate. He is an autodidact, self taught with blacksmithing and metalworking. He dresses well, and also has a hidden laboratory in my grandfather's shed where he has taken a fixation in herbal tinctures and remedies. He knows they're bullshit. But my family buys his potions, and he uses the money to buy pawn shop jewelry and scrap metal to build stuff. He believes firmly in werewolves, and is convinced Furries are a psyop to prepare the general public for their emergence in society. Which is why he's making silver bullets.

I wish to stipulate that not a single word of this is a joke. This is on god, IRL bullshit I have to contend with.

You don't fully understand why you would choose someone who was so…evil. Maybe it was the fact you noticed he didn't really have anyone, or that he was smart, and was living his life for someone else. But you couldn't help the mix of hate you felt for him. He was a bully and he'd hurt your sister often, and even if he had people to impress, he was his own person with his own decision and he chose the wrong one, and for that you could never love him completely.

When sixth year came you met a guy, he was everything draco was not. He was kind, spoke out about what he felt was right no matter who turned on him because of it. He had friends that actually were his friends and most of all he didn't judge you because you were different. He told you:

The next thing you knew Harry was torn about Dumbledore's death and he said that Draco was there and you could only sit by like a woman whose husband had been arrested for murder. You mourned the loss of him but still chose to believe Draco was forced therefore he wasn’t to be hated so you went looking for him and found him crouched down in the corner of the tower sobbing and clawing at his forearm till skin and blood was under his nails. His forearm bled as he continued at his raw arm. You rushed over, snapped out of your shock.

“Stop, please stop!” You begged, pulling his arm away from his greedy claws and he looked up at you without words, just flowing tears.

“I deserve it! I failed, he’ll kill me! I’ve disappointed my father,” he sobbed. You shook your head frantically cupping his face, thumbs on his cheeks to wipe away the rivers leaving his eyes. His breathing was more like gasp and his eyes were bloodshot.

“Shh, it’s alright, just breathe. Nobody’s gonna hurt you Draco” you said soothingly before pulling him to your chest, his tears making the fabric of your shirt damp.

He only shook trying not to cry more and you were heartbroken knowing a part of him still was fighting things that were completely normal. He didn’t want you to see him cry…

“You-you don’t know that! How can you know that?” He stuttered and you ran your fingers in his sweaty hair

“I know this because Draco even though you’ve done wrong, Hogwarts will fight for those inside and you are still a student and if the people inside try to hurt you I will protect you and I’ll count on you to not be afraid to do what’s right..”

The most interesting part is how the video described Herrcher of the Void's power set in comparison to Heavenly Principles from Genshin: "It could form a barrier from the firmament, and prevent the innumerable gods of misery from passing through". Which lowkey implies that Heavenly Principles is a Guardian of Teyvat that stops random Gods or beings from just entering this world willy-nilly.

Profiles in Villainy

Muffy Peprich

Clad in an 1980’s era punk rock ensemble, Muffy Peprich was the charismatic leader and head sister at the Phi Epsilon Phi sorority at Malibu University.  Phi Epsilon Phi (or PEP) was a highly popular sorority yet nobody could really understand why.  

Well, it turns out that Muffy was using a sophisticate mind-control method to make all the students want to be members of PEP.  And she was not going to stop until all other sororities were dissolved into PEP until it was the only sorority at every university across the country.  Muffy had hatched this plan out of anger and a desire for revenge.  When she was a freshmen student, she pledged at all of the sororities and none of them accepted her (so sad!).   Destroying these sororities by absorbing them all into PEP would offer Muffy the vengeance she greatly craved.  

Unfortunately for Muffy’s scheme, the Totally Spies girls were starting off at college.  Clover looked into joining PEP which ultimately resulted in Sam and Alexandra uncovering and foiling Muffy’s plot (drat!).  

Actress  Megan Fahlenbock provided the voice for Muffy Peprish, with the villainess appearing in the seventh episode of the fifth season of Totally Spies, ‘Evil Sorority,’ airing on May 4th, 2010.

Likes: Music, dancing, pomegranates, sparkly clothes, witty jokes, sweet wines, vanilla cake Dislikes: Drow Bullshit (TM), injustice, boring speeches, krakens, spiders (the irony), being underestimated Personality: Phaere can be a bit of a wildcard, but most of the time she's a charming, charismatic performer with a good heart. However, she can dish it as well as she can take it, so if you come at her with hostility, malice, or snark, expect to get it back tenfold. If you meet her with warmth or friendliness, she will absolutely bend over backwards to befriend you or at very least treat you with kindness in return. She reflexively helps the helpless and defends the defenseless, but gets easily angered by injustice, prejudice, or unfair treatment.

While she holds little love for her drow heritage, Phaere is not above using others' prejudices to get what she wants if it suits her. She can play a convincing, evil drow matriarch, even if the act turns her stomach every time she does it. She does have a bit of a cruel streak for those she deems 'evil' or 'deserving' of punishment, which is how she gets around the cognitive dissonance of (usually) not wanting to hurt anyone if she can help it. She would much rather entertain than kill, but if the situation calls for it... well... she can be incredibly sadistic. Anger is the emotion that gets the best of her most often, and when her well of patience runs dry... watch out. You don't want a tiny, pissed-off drow coming to mock you to death.

In love, Phaere is kind, attentive, and selfless, almost to a fault. She puts her partners' needs above her own and rarely asks for what she wants, but she's getting better about it with Astarion and Halsin's help. Her previous lover taught her how relationships work on the surface, and now with the help of her boys she's putting it into practice. Sensual but with a 'take it or leave it' attitude to sexual intimacy, Phaere is more interested in building connections of the heart rather than of the body. But well, she is very good at the bodily connection part, when the mood strikes. She is a bard, after all.

Backstory: (SPOILERS FOR SONNET OF SPIDERS)

Phaere was born in Ched Nasad, a drow city in the Underdark in 1322. The seventh daughter of Halisstra Melarn (or so she was told,) Phaere was ignored often as a child. The smallest of her sisters as well, Phaere was often left in the care of her elder brother, Rylbros, the only male of the family. (As Phaere knew him, he was technically her cousin, an illegitimate child of Halisstra's brother, Q'arlynd, but he was raised as her brother and she considered him as such. Little did she know that SHE was also an illegitimate child of Q'arlynd as well, making her and Rylbros full siblings.) Rylbros, a kind, timid boy with an incredible gift for music, became something of a surrogate parental figure for Phaere, providing her with the affection and care that she never received from her mother or sisters growing up.

Halisstra was tutored in the bardic art of bae'qeshel, and passed on the art to her three eldest daughters, despite none of them being very proficient in the musical arts. Meanwhile, Rylbros and Phaere were gifted in music, and practiced their own music in secret unbeknownst to the rest of the family. Q'arlynd, even though he was forbidden from seeing his son for the most part, even arranged for a private tutor to teach Rylbros the violin as a teenager--the very same bardic tutor that Halisstra had learned from.

Of course, Halisstra had the tutor killed after she insinuated that Phaere, even as a toddler banging on a piano, had more musical talent than all of the Melarn women combined.

Rylbros and Phaere, long since disillusioned with drowic society, made plans to escape Ched Nasad and travel to the surface as a bardic duo when Phaere was around 50 years old. However, during the Silence of Lolth in 1372, Ched Nasad was attacked by Duergar mercenaries, sent by the matron mother of House Melarn's rival house, House Zauvirr. The mercenaries were ordered to kill every last Melarn, and Rylbros and Phaere tried to escape the burning wreckage of their home during the attack.

Rylbros was captured, giving Phaere just enough time to run to freedom. Believing Rylbros to be dead, Phaere ran for days into the wilds of the Underdark, collapsing at the edge of Araumycos, a giant fungal structure located between the ruins of Ched Nasad and Menzoberranzan.

There, she stumbled upon a colony of Myconids. Delirious and dehydrated, Phaere played her flute for the Sovereign, unable to do anything else for fear of being killed. Instead, the Sovereign released rapport spores, and taking pity on the young drow, it decided to take Phaere into its colony. She lived with the Myconid colony through several cycles, working as a dedicated bard and tour guide for travelers and as a caretaker for juvenile myconids. It was through this 60-year experience that Phaere unlearned some of her drow teachings, earning a new appreciation for surface races through meeting travelers and building up a connection with nature thanks to her fungal family.

At the encouragement of the third Sovereign, Phaere left the colony at the age of 110, having grown restless and wanting to travel the surface world to spread her music across the land, as she and Rylbros had dreamed of doing in their youth. She wasn't very successful as a bard, however, until she made it to Neverwinter, where she met a 40-something human bard by the name of Robin.

It was love at first sight.

Robin started as a mentor for Phaere, and then as a confidante and friend, teaching her about the intricacies of life on the surface, as well as cultivating her musical talent with other instruments (piano and the lyre, mainly). Robin, with their infinite patience and kindness, opened Phaere's heart to more experiences as the two traveled across Faerun, performing and dazzling audiences in taverns, city squares, and inns alike. Eventually, the two began a romantic relationship, and Phaere stayed with Robin until their dying breaths at the age of 92. The two never married (Robin was not the marrying type) but were faithfully committed for nearly 45 years, even as Robin encouraged Phaere to seek other experiences outside of their relationship.

Phaere never did. She knew she'd have plenty of time for love later in life.

After Robin's death, Phaere traveled alone for 15 years, leaving behind a string of flings and only casual acquaintances, not quite ready to open her heart to friendship or love until the events of BG3. On her way to Baldur's Gate when she was abducted by the Nautiloid, Phaere received a rude awakening in the form of a tadpole, and thus decided fairly quickly (with some bumps along the way) that life was too short and too unpredictable to wallow in loneliness and misery. Robin wouldn't have wanted her to do that.

On Marrok: Why I hated your theories and why I am glad I was right all along:

So, Marrok ended up being literally no one, and this I sort of knew. I’ve blogged about why. I’ve also blogged about why I thought your theories sucked, but let me break it down for you again because I feel like gloating a little.

First, your theories about Barriss Offee:

Barriss was done hella dirty in The Clone Wars. In legends, she was one of the greatest healers the Jedi had. And, to this effect, it would make sense that she would hate the war and what was happening. She felt that shit on a molecular level. Every cell in her body probably pulsated pain from what she was witnessing day in and out on the battlefield. Orchestrating a bombing of the Jedi temple though? Eh? I don’t know. I get WHY she was the choice, but… it still sucked. There is a pretty sizable chunk of fandom that still have a lot of negative feelings about it too (people that the Ahsoka series was made for). And, even on a Watsonian level, Barriss’s reasoning for bombing the temple would suggest that she would never become an inquisitor willingly. It just wouldn’t make sense that she bombed the temple because she was keenly aware of the fact that the Jedi were unknowingly (in their defense) fighting for the dark-side only to later become an inquisitor. She would likely sacrifice herself before it came to that. Never mind, on a Doylist level, the fact that ship has sailed. If Filoni had intended to use her as a mere Inquisitor, he would have already done so in Rebels. Barriss could have easily been the seventh sister, but she wasn’t (Filoni has said so).

Could we still see Barriss? Perhaps. I don’t hold my breath, but I think a lot of folks want to know what became of her. I tend to think IF she shows up in the Ahsoka series, it will be as whatever the hell kind of “Jedi” Baylan and Shin are. While Shin obviously has a sort of dark wild-side, Baylan seems as though he is motivated by something he sees as a greater good. What becomes of this is anyone’s guess, but I could see Barriss trying to better the Galaxy… whatever that may mean for her.

Second, your theories about Ezra Bridger:

So, this one I have not talked about prior, but I still thought it was sort of a stretch. While being the most compelling option if Filoni had wanted to take the “he’s someone important” route, it didn’t make much sense characteristically for Ezra at this point. And, I say that because Ezra already flirted with the dark side in Rebels and gave it up. We saw him struggle with anger and attachments, so much so that he was able to open the Sith holocron, attain knowledge from it, and use questionable dark side powers to help his friends (him controlling that Imperial in the walker in season three was peak; I’m not going to lie, but…). Ezra was already brought back in. He failed epically and nearly got his friends killed, and Kanan was able to talk him off of the ledge. By the end of season four, Ezra was zen in a lot of ways, wise in others and was willing to let go of his attachments for the greater good. He overcame.

Ezra serving the dark side in New Republic times would be a step backwards, and I don’t think that’s going to happen. I don’t know how Ezra is going to get pulled back into the fold, but when he is, he won’t be evil.

Third, your theories about Galen Marek (aka Starkiller):

I’m going to be real with you. This seemed to be the most popular theory, and yet it was my least favorite one. Mainly because of the toxicity that would have surrounded this choice on so many levels.

First, Starkiller was grossly overpowered. He brought a fucking Star Destroyer out of the sky with the force, melted an entire legion of storm troopers and wiped the floor with Vader in a duel. Ahsoka wouldn’t have stood a chance in hell. And, folks are like “well he could have been nerfed!” But no, because the toxic element of fandom that truly wanted Starkiller to face Ahsoka would have been pissed that he was nerfed… and they would have bitched loudly about it.

Second, thematically, it made no sense. It would have been the worst possible fan service known to mankind. It would have made virtually no sense narratively, and it would have sent up dozens of questions about canon that would be yet another mess creatives would have to clean up afterward. So, no. Bad. Bad all around.

Third, and this is just me being who I am, but I know good and goddamned well an uncomfortably large set of fandom would have shipped him and Ahsoka. There’s probably a small underbelly of fiction about it that already exists. And, honestly, I’m completely surprised we didn’t get Marrok shipped with Ahsoka (Marrosoka? Ahsorok?) because it feels as if Filoni is purposely avoiding men to ship Ahsoka with in this series. Like, you’re being force to grasp at straws. Regardless, it would have been gross. It would have been problematic on so many levels. It just makes me cringe thinking about it.

In closing:

Anyway, it was good watching Marrok literally go up in smoke. For those of you that aren’t privy to this, that was night sister magic. Marrok was the equivalent of a night sister zombie. If you haven’t seen The Clone Wars, you probably didn’t know that and congrats, Filoni just gave you the finger again for not being in the know. I will say that while this moment seemed insignificant in the short term (Marrok’s existence as an entity), this is going to come back to haunt the heroes later… as there is likely a whole hoard of undead night sister zombie creatures waiting in the wings to wreak havoc on everything and everyone. It isn’t coincidental that everyone stopped battling the moment Marrok went up in a puff of green smoke including Shin. Wait for it.

Part One

I’m very proud of these dolls, and I’m also leaving them at my parents’ house, so I did a little photoshoot with some books as background so I can have nice pictures of them.

Each book is one that is based on their fairy tale, they exist in some form in that universe, or I genuinely think that character would read it. It cannot be their origin book.

Also, they ALL have to be books I have read. If the other books are more like companion books though, then I disregard that rule. They cannot share series either.

First up is Snow White with Fairest, by Gail Carson Levine. Funnily enough, I read this book before Ella Enchanted. I love it though! I always remember the singing and weird-reading-to-make-the-audience-laugh game :).

Second is Cinderella with Cinderella is Dead, by Kaylynn Bayron, and a little toy dog, because the Disney version has a dog. It’s a wonderfully revolutionary and queer take on a world that supposedly worships Cinderella, but actually uses her memory as an oppressive tool. Like an unwilling martyr.

Third is Alice with After Alice by Gregory Maguire (the dude who wrote Wicked). I have other Alice in Wonderland adaptions, but I haven’t enjoyed the others like this one. If you like ratfics, you may enjoy After Alice.

Fourth is Wendy with Peter and the Sword of Mercy, by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. I debated on whether to do the first book of this series or not, but Wendy only appears in this book, so I leaned toward this one instead. Out of all my Peter Pan adaption books, I like my one about Hook as a boy in Eton best. But only Wendy’s dad appears in that, and I don’t think she would read it, so I went with this series instead. I wrote a book report about the story set in the desert Kingdom when I was like 9, I loved it a lot.

Fifth is Aurora with While Beauty Sleeps, by Elizabeth Blackwell. It’s an inventive take that I enjoyed quite a bit. Explores how expectations can be used in your favor, etc.

Sixth is Eilonwy, with The Princess, The Crone and the Dung-Cart Knight, by Gerald Morris. I know The Black Cauldron is based on a book series, but I’ve only read a snippet, and I don’t have a copy of any of the stories anyway. So she gets to have a late - Arthurian novel.

Seventh is Ariel (she has six sisters so this pleases me) with The Hothouse Princesses by S. A. Hemstock. The author wrote some of the best Steven Universe fanfic, so I bought her first published story when it came out. Idk how it isn’t a bigger hit - it’s about a princess who was raised by peasants, gets discovered, wants to go back, and instead gets shunted off to a misogynistic, colonialistic, colorist princess finishing school, where she finds out some serious conspiracy shit about fairy godmothers. Anyway, Ariel often felt oppressed by her dad and curious about the Human world, so I imagine it would catch her eye.

Eighth is Belle with Lindworm, by Jenny Prater. Coincidentally, this is another case of me reading a superb fanfic writer’s work (Batfam this time) and instantly snapping up their OG work. I have a book of short stories that had a more direct BATB parallel story, but I was trying to stick with Novels. In any case, this is the story of the maiden who married the Lindworm, and what the Royal family does once they have to reckon with the nations of the dead princesses.

Ninth is Jasmine with the School for Good and Evil, by Soman Chainini. Her character really only appears in the prequel, but I wanted to acknowledge this really great series properly. I read the entire thing this summer, and I love its thematic approaches. In any case, I feel like this series’ approach to beauty, freedom and other dichotomies would pique her interest.

Tenth, we have Gabriella (Ariel’s mermaid BFF) and her Sign Language interpreter Olly. I have her human form. Anyway, I decided she might enjoy Wonderstruck, by Brian Selznick. It has Deaf characters and lots to show about the Human World, which I supposed she might enjoy. I found it quite interesting as a kid, and like with all the other Selznick books I own, I used to color all the hair, clothes and eyes in, lol. Listen. I’ve recently tumbled down the bilibili hole of cdrama edits and some of them do an amazing job hyping up upcoming dramas! So here are a few I’m personally super excited for. 

Till The End of the Moon (长月烬明)

Cast:

Love You Seven Times (七时吉祥)

Cast:

Yang Chaoyue (杨超越) as Xiang Yun (祥云) - She was originally a cloud, but was later turned into a fairy by Yue Lao. She works in Yue Lao Pavilion and develops a seven-life love with Chu Kong because of a misunderstanding.

Ding Yuxi (丁禹兮) as Chu Kong (初空) - He is a disciple of the King of the Stars of the Sun. When he accidentally enters the Yuelao Pavilion he is seen as a villain. Chu Kong accidentally broke Xiang Yun's fan, causing the two to quarrel and accidentally mess up the red rope, causing chaos in the marriage of the Three Realms. The Jade Emperor learns of this, and punished the two of them to go through seven worlds of love calamities before they could return to the heaven, and the story began from there.

Fun Fact: the writer of the novel this drama is based on also wrote The Legends (招摇) and The Blue Whisper (与君初相识). The original novel has a 7.5 rating on douban.

Love Between Fairy and Devil (苍兰诀)

Cast:

Sebastian wakes with a start, another nightmare, another restless night. He goes to move out of bed but is reminded of the weight in his arms, your sleeping form is undisturbed it seems by the movement. He sighs and rests against his pillow, Your warm, he thinks to himself as he pulls your naked form closer to him. Ever the gentleman he pulls the blanket up for you and smiles softly as you cuddle yourself deeper into his side.

Always by his side, always defending him, that was how you were. Ever since you met him all those years ago you two have been the two halves of a whole. “Wherever you go I’ll go.” he remembers your promise to him when he asked you to be his the first week of your seventh year. When you said this he was struck with such deep love and wonder for you. You wanted to be by his side for eternity, he remembers he made the promise to you in return.

How he wishes you had never even seen him back in your first-year at Hogwarts, two nervous children meeting each other in a class. Don’t follow me here he glances down at you as you sleep. You had always known about his opinions on the dark arts, on curses both forgivable and unforgivable. And yet you still followed him, never showing your disgust or dislike for his obsession, never showing fear of him. You knew it was for his sister Anne, and not out of evil. You were an angel, always showing him heaven. But the dark arts had a hold on him, willing and unwilling, and he knew he was slowly dragging you down to hell with him.

He closes his eyes and reflects on a more recent memory. You had to become a mediator between him and Ominis as you three and the new student had finally discovered the entrance to the scriptorium. Sebastian made you sit out of the conversation immediately, not entertaining the idea of you even considering casting a forbidden spell. The three students were at an impasse, arguments being made on all sides while you remained out of the conversation on the side.

And when you placed his wand into his hand and looked at him with only pure love present in your eyes, he still wasn’t sure how he didn’t break down then and there. Cast it on me, you know it and I’ll be fine. He remembers the small smile you shot at him and your determination visible. His grip on your sleeping form tightens as he continues to reflect on the memory. He cast the cruciatus curse on you in the end, after much convincing from you and much protesting from him. He couldn’t even see you collapse to the floor with the amount of tears falling from his eyes. Sebastian wanted to cover his ears just as Ominis did, to stop hearing your screams and wails, but he didn’t. This was his punishment, his very own circle of hell.

I’m alright was the first thing you said to him as he rushed to your side. You could see his eyes flicking back and forth between you and whatever lied in the scriptorium. And he could see the inkling of fear in your eyes when you looked at him. The Slytherin Spellbook was his, and you were still by his side even after what he did. Ominis was horrified, and so was the new student. Sebastian carried you out of those dungeons all the way to the undercroft, he never stopped apologizing. He still hasn’t.

You just laughed and comforted him, and he lets you, despite knowing it should be the opposite. He should be comforting you. The memory ends with him holding you as you asked Did you get what you wanted? Sebastian chuckles dryly as he feels a tear slide down his cheek. At the time he said yes but now he knows he didn’t.

Hurting you wasn’t what he wanted. Not for this, not for any of this. Sebastian’s surprised that you haven’t woken up from how hard he’s holding onto you, squeezing like a snake does to prey. He shudders. if you stay with him, if you go wherever he goes…he doesn’t finish that thought. He wipes away the tears, and gazes down at you again, seeing how the blanket sticks to the curve of your body, and the way your skin feels velvet soft to him. How delicate your face appears in the moonlight, how your hair almost glows from the moonbeams. He will always have you on his mind.

Sebastian knows you feel fear whenever he looks at you now, whenever he touches you. He knows it’s his fault and he deserves it. I’ll cure Anne and then no more, I’ll say yes to you he murmurs into your hair sighing after he breathes in the scent of your shampoo. You don’t stir and he’s happy about that.

Tomorrow you’re both going to the cave mentioned in the Slytherin Spellbook. Tomorrow he may find a cure for Anne. And maybe tomorrow is when he’ll let go of the dark arts. But for now he’ll stay here with you resting in his arms, saying yes to heaven, saying yes to you.

probably at least one or two gaia awakenings- the master emerald is used by light gaia to put dark gaia back to sleep

100,000 years ago (give or take)

after a large war, and several failed attempts to seal the end away, the ancients flee their home world and arrive on earth

likely, the ancients build the gaia temples across the world, either seeing the event of gaia coming to life first hand, or hearing about it from the natives on the planet

the end chases them and kills a very large chunk before being successfully sealed away

the ancients move to angel island, and bring the emeralds and a few koco with them

20 to 10,000 years ago

the babylons arrive on earth and are unable to fix their ark of the cosmos

the babylons use their technology to try to conquer the world and pillage and steal from other emerging civilizations

by this point, the ancients are near extinct. koco have begun to mutate into chao from the chaos energy

the babylons steal the emeralds from the ancients and use them to fuel their conquests

the babylons create babylon

within the millennia, the ancients manage to strike back. they use the chaos emeralds to seal the babylons in a pocket dimension they once tried to seal the end in- the twilight cage, guarded by the ancient argus

babylon falls and becomes buried, the ancients return to angel island

4 to 5 thousand years ago

the echidna clan splits- the knuckles tribe and the nocturnus clan. the knuckles clan moves on to be peaceful and nomadic- the nocturnus clan waged conquest after conquest

the babylons use the resources of the twilight cage to construct ring transporters- the babylons are able to escape from the twilight cage, leaving behind a civilization others call the “precursors”

the babylons find their home missing and that the world moved in without them. they swear to find their missing artifacts and babylon once more

4 thousand years ago

pachacamac’s mother dies and he takes charge; the echidnas become a warmongering tribe, mimicking the nocturnus clan, and have several scuffles with their sister tribe

while they travel, tikal finds the shrine of the emeralds and befriends the very last of the ancients, named chaos

pachacamac seizes the temple, attacks the chao, and chaos lashed out. using the seven emeralds, chaos becomes perfect chaos and attempts to end the world. tikal manages to seal him away, and sends angel island floating to the sky, in hopes of keeping the emeralds away from other hands

the nocturnus clan were assumed to have perished during the event, but were in fact not involved. after pachacamac’s demise, the nocturnus clan manages to conquer a large chunk of the world through their superior technology, and the creation of the gizoid.

argus, who had noticed the babylons escape, comes back to earth to find them. instead, argus finds a new race who has conquered the world out of greed, and takes them to the twilight cage in the “argus event”

the knuckles clan sets up on angel island

50 years ago

gerald robotnik becomes embroiled in a government project to create the ultimate lifeform. implied to have visited angel island, gerald manages to find all seven emeralds and a gizoid. he creates the biolizard and eventually shadow, and uses the chaos emeralds to create the eclipse canon

the raid occurs. gerald sends six of the emeralds back to earth, where they fall on to south island. their energy over time warps south island and causes strange artifacts to show up

gerald used the seventh emerald to finish project shadow. once he does, he seals shadow away and sends the seventh emerald across the world, where it lands on christmas island

gerald is executed

gerald robotnik’s grandson, dr ivo robotnik, gives up his teaching career and decided to become an evil dictator. he develops “badniks” and decides to test them out on christmas island, presumed to be abandoned

ivo crosses paths with a blue hedgehog while he tests out his machines. ivo names the creature sonic…

… and the rest is history
