🛐 HOW BEING YOURSELF MAKES LIFE EASIER (AND WETTER)
Let me tell you a little story.
It’s our second date. She comes over because I ordered food. Simple. Clean. No three-hour phone calls. No scavenger hunts through her trauma diary.
She steps in and asks:
"So… what are we doing?"
I said:
"Here’s the plan.
We’re gonna have sex. Then eat. Then watch a movie."
Gave her a glass of wine while I fixed our food order.
She said:
"Okay."
And we got to it.
✅ Got off the phone. ✅ Got on each other. ✅ Paused to fix the Uber Eats mistake. ✅ Went back at it like responsible adults. ✅ Then ate Chinese food and watched a terrible horror movie where the ghost was somehow less aggressive than me.
Great night. Great date. Minimal confusion. Maximum respect. Zero resentment.
🧠 WHY DID IT WORK?
Because I didn’t lie.
Because I didn’t run some weird 8th-grade mind game trying to "build sexual tension" over pad thai and passive-aggressive flirting.
Because I was myself — not some neutered audition tape for future hypothetical husbandry.
No gimmicks. No fake personalities. No pretending my couch was the altar of romantic destiny.
Just clear expectation, honest desire, and unapologetic masculine cadence.
And guess what?
✅ She was fine. ✅ She was wet. ✅ She stayed. ✅ She didn’t run for the door crying about "respect."
Because women — the real ones, the ones not playing the TikTok Victim Olympics — prefer a man who treats reality like it’s his native tongue.
🛡️ BEING YOURSELF ISN’T JUST LIBERATING.
IT’S A FUCKING TACTICAL ADVANTAGE.
When you’re yourself:
You filter the confused and the bitter before they even sit down.
You attract women whose nervous systems can handle masculine gravity.
You keep your life clean of drama, negotiation, and post-coital existential dread.
The guys running "game" are exhausted because they’re acting. You’re not.
The guys trying to "trick" women into sex are sweating through their shirts. You’re fixing food orders and getting back to business.
The guys worrying about "ruining the vibe" are vomiting emojis into DMs at midnight. You’re watching a B-grade horror flick with a naked woman curled against your chest because you knew the vibe — and made it the environment.
🤯 TL;DR
Be yourself.
Set the tone.
Speak the outcome into existence.
Adjust the food delivery, not your damn personality.
💣 CALL TO ACTION:
🔁 Reblog if you know pretending to be something you’re not is 10x more exhausting than just fixing the order and clapping cheeks like a civilized man. 🛡️ Save this post for the next time someone tells you "be yourself" like it’s a Hallmark card instead of a tactical weapon. ⚡ Send it to the friend still pretending he "doesn't know what she wants." 🔥 Bookmark it for the day you realize clarity pulls more panties than poetry.
Or simply 🔁Reblog to keep my signal to mankind going strong.

My menstrual cycle is acting up and making my brain focus on weird things. So let's talk about...
Interspecies sex!
One of the fun things you get to explore when writing a fantasy story with a lot of non-human people, especially if they're also from different evolutionary roots and not related at all.
Like what does it even mean for a primate to be sexually attracted to an amphibian? How does that happen? How do all these different people species view sexuality? How do they feel about interspecies intercourse? It's a fascinating subject!
Especially if you're like me, asexual and autistic with a special interest in fantasy biology and culture and a detached scientific fascination for the concept of sex through the lens of fiction.
No images in this post. Just a hasty ramble, no time for new art, and frankly the rogue censorbots on tumblr are already marking perfectly normal images as potentially mature, so I don't need them jumping on me right now lol. But I'm still putting this post under a cut.
I have been writing many different relationship dynamics in my own project, including some interspecies relationships and a lot of queer characters.
Some of my people species are, by nature, somewhat asexual. Whether it's a seasonal thing or a full time thing.
Drow: the majority of drow, aside from the "males", are asexual by default! Those who become matriarchs may suddenly find themselves experiencing sexual attraction for the first time during their secondary puberty, which can be confusing and overwhelming, but they may also remain asexual and simply participate in sex because the duty of a matriarch is to bear children.
Quetzalin: for about half the year, all adult quetzalin are functionally asexual due to a natural hormone change. But during courting season, the majority of adult quetzalin do feel sexual attraction, and they feel it quite strongly! The flip from no sexual attraction and a low libido to high sexual attraction and a high libido can be overwhelming, so the qurtxalin have actually developed some fairly well advanced hormone treatments to make it easier.
Goblins: similar to quetzalin, goblins only feel sexual attraction for part of the year, but for them it's a rather spontaneous short-term burst of both attraction and libido that leads to a big group orgy at the nursery ponds, driving them to lay and fertilize thousands of eggs.
Pixies: since they are basically giant bees, the majority of pixies do not feel sexual attraction at all, ever. Sexual desire really only shows up in the hive mothers and their short-lived mates.
So with all these people who experience such a lack of attraction and/or a lack of libido, you might expect them to avoid sex, especially outside their own species groups. Perhaps you expect them to be a little more open to interspecies sex only when they're in a seasonal libido wave.
And yet, the least likely group, pixies, show an odd fascination for sex with people of other species. What could draw a sapient bee towards sex? They find it entertaining. They like to watch, and they like the way other people react to being touched. And much to their own surprise and delight, there are vertebrate people who will gladly have sex with pixies! There are all sorts of people; elves, orcs, even goblins, who think the idea of letting pixies crawl on their naked bodies is very sexy. It helps that pixies can vibrate their abdomens and that they're roughly the size of an elf's penis.
Goblins and quetzalin outside of their own courting/mating seasons may not feel attraction or a clear libido, but that doesn't stop them from having sex with people of other species all year round if they want it. And they both have bodies that are covered in unique textures; feathers on the quetzalin and mucus on the goblins. Even if the goblin mucus can carry toxins, depending on their diet, it's usually only going to create a tingling numb feeling, which some potential sex partners might find even more arousing.
And while the average cavern drow are almost invariably asexual, a lot of them will curiously explore sex while spending a few years living outside as young adults.
And the far more allosexual minstrel drow have been participating in interspecies sex and running diverse sex work establishments for hundreds of years.
Given the presence of real life humans who have the hots for increasing bizarre non human fictional characters and monstrous creatures, I'm sure I don't have to explain why it's possible for people to find themselves attracted to partners outside their own species, or why they might find sex with other people species to be enjoyable. The differences between their species may very well be the traits that draw them to each other and make the sex more fun and exciting.
Whether it is inherently kinky or not is up to the individual I suppose! But when the pixies organize mutual research exchanges with vertebrate people and ask for volunteers to let the pixies study vertebrate sexual pleasure, I'm sure they have to account for sample bias as the people who sign up are very likely to be into a variety of kinks and therefore have different tolerances and may show different reactions compared to someone who doesn't get involved in kink.
And then of course, on the flip side of all this, it must be considered that historically, and frankly even contemporarily, there have been and always will be people who view interspecies sex with a sour look on their face. It could be the product of bigotry, more often than not. Certainly if there are actual cultural and legal taboos agaisnt it, that can be attributed to interspecies bigotry.
But it's also possible that some people's sexuality simply does not extend to those outside their own species group. It may even be that interspecies attraction is considered more queer than simply being gay or attracted to multiple genders.
I think I'm running out of things to say.
Well! That's my incoherent ramble then! Brought to u by my brain on menstrual hormones and a silly thought train about pixies conducting sex studies.
Hope u enjoyed it. Have a nice day!

Directors cut: "They are if they don't like being called Georgiana," she says to him reasonably, drawing from some hidden well of balance maybe everyone pays into as they grow up for moments like these, when there's a child crying who needs you to be perfectly calm. "Can you tell us where you are? I'd like to send my friends to come get you."
One of the absolute weirdest things about living in a society is realizing that if someone else is falling apart, there is some limbic part of your brain that says, “okay well now I have to take care of this water bottle.” It’s a blessing, obviously, and an evolutionary advantage that humans have this instinct and capability, and I wonder if Georgiana ever pondered that most of her relationship with Sherlock is one or another shade of this dynamic in rapid fire play.
I also love George with kids, because she absolutely has no mothering instinct, so she’s always just a fun safe adult who kids enjoy but would not turn to for parenting. Like George would hug this kid, for sure, but in normal circumstances she’s just as likely to split a Aero bar with the kid and shit talk Sherlock as they wait for his parents.
This is also why Sherlock likes her.

I read your post about Pluto-Ascendant and loved it! I have Pluto conjunct Ascendant and you nailed it. In which way also having Mars square, Neptune sextile, Saturn trine, Jupiter trine, NN square, BML sextile ( 0-degree orb ) on the Ascendant is manifesting? Could also having Venus biquintile be considered? I've heard this aspect ( as well as a quintile ) is quite underrated. What are your thoughts about all these aspects? Many thanks✨
Hey! Thank you so much! ✨
Let’s have a look at the aspects to your ascendant!
Mars Square Ascendant: The Mars square to your Ascendant adds a dynamic and assertive energy to your personality. You possess a strong drive and determination, but you may also face challenges in finding the right balance between assertion and aggression. Learning to channel this energy constructively can lead to powerful self-expression and assertiveness in pursuing your goals.
Neptune Sextile Ascendant: The Neptune sextile to your Ascendant infuses your personality with sensitivity, creativity, and a touch of mystique. You have a natural ability to tune into the emotions and needs of others, and your intuition guides you in navigating the complexities of human relationships. This aspect can also bestow a sense of idealism and spiritual insight, inspiring you to seek deeper meaning and connection in your interactions with the world.
Saturn Trine Ascendant: The Saturn trine to your Ascendant brings a sense of discipline, responsibility, and maturity to your personality. You possess a strong work ethic and a practical approach to life, which allows you to steadily pursue your goals with determination and perseverance. This aspect bestows a sense of stability and reliability, earning you the respect and admiration of others for your grounded and disciplined demeanor.
Jupiter Trine Ascendant: The Jupiter trine to your Ascendant expands your horizons and imbues your personality with optimism, confidence, and a spirit of adventure. You possess a natural charm and generosity that draws people to you, and your positive outlook on life inspires others to believe in themselves and their potential. This aspect enhances your social skills and may bring opportunities for growth and success in your personal and professional endeavors.
North Node Square Ascendant: The North Node square to your Ascendant indicates a karmic lesson or challenge related to self-expression and identity. You may feel a sense of inner conflict or tension between your past conditioning and your soul's evolutionary path. Learning to embrace authenticity and follow your true calling can lead to profound growth and fulfillment in your life's journey.
Black Moon Lilith Sextile Ascendant: The Black Moon Lilith sextile to your Ascendant adds depth and intensity to your personality. You may possess a magnetic and enigmatic allure that intrigues others, drawing them to you like moths to a flame. This aspect can also indicate a strong connection to your primal instincts and a desire for authenticity and empowerment in your interactions with others.
The Venus biquintile Ascendant aspect is not typically considered a traditional aspect in astrology, as I’ve learned. If anyone has a different way of seeing this, please let me know!
But from what I’ve read, biquintiles are considered aspects of creativity, talent, and inspiration, suggesting a harmonious blending of energies between the planets involved. In the case of Venus biquintile Ascendant, it could imply a natural affinity for expressing beauty, harmony, and artistic creativity in one’s persona and interactions with others.
These aspects combine to create a complex and multifaceted personality, blending assertiveness with sensitivity, discipline with optimism, and depth with charm. Embracing the insights and opportunities they offer can lead to deep personal growth and self-discovery as you journey towards realizing your fullest potential and finding fulfillment in life.✨🦋

Pack Dynamics
Overview
Historically, a pack is a group of omegas, alphas, and betas who live together, raise children as a family, and share the same space or territory. In modern times, a pack is generally comprised of a polyamorous relationship with at least 3-5 main members, not including children. A pack may contain alphas, betas, and omegas, or any combination of the three. A balanced pack will contain one alpha, one omega, and the rest beta, however in modern day this is not true in most cases.
Alphas
Alphas in a pack are most superior of the ranks, and carry out roles such as leadership, paternal roles, and decision making for the pack. Generally, only the alphas are allowed to inseminate the omegas or betas. In a pack with more than one alpha, there is always a lead alpha or a head alpha, and other alphas submit to that head alpha.
Betas
Betas, when in a pack, serve as diplomats and mediators, however they still submit to the pack’s alphas. Betas are not always marked by the pack’s alphas or omegas, but are always scented. Generally, betas serve as a safe place for omegas when they can’t access their nest. In a healthy pack, alphas are not permitted to force their presence onto an omega if the omega wants to be with the pack betas. Betas also help raise pups and handle homeschooling if done by the pack.
Omegas
Omegas in a pack are the focus of the pack. Everyone in the pack revolves around the omegas. There is generally one omega in a smaller pack, but it’s not uncommon to have more than one. Omegas in a pack generally experience their heats together (in sync) and will spend those periods in each other’s company. Alphas may or may not have their ruts syncronized. Omegas cluster together by nature, and this is true in the pack. Omegas are the members of the pack that nurture everyone else. They will scent other members and keep the pack in good health. An ill member of the pack will stress out an omega. Omegas also are tasked with providing the pack with young. In a pack with omegas and betas, generally only the omegas have pups. When one omega falls pregnant, they’ll often trigger the heats of the other omegas. This is for two reasons: One, from an evolutionary standpoint. Two, from a social standpoint. Historically, omegas in a pack would not have all of their pups survive to adulthood (Disease, predators, injuries, etc). This is mitigated nowadays due to modern society and healthcare. From a social standpoint, several pups born at the same/similar times creates a healthy social heirarchy to grow up with. The pups will have others their age from birth, which fosters interactions such as speech, play behavior, and healthy immune development that a child born as the only pup in a pack would not get until entering preschool (around age four-ish).

after barely a day of my poll being up it seems like so many people know about and really love natural history collections which makes my heart sing!! i would love for my fellow natural history nerds to rise up and sign this petition to protect one!!
duke university is CLOSING its herbarium which holds over 800,000 plant/fungus/algae specimens including 2,000 types spanning 180 years of collection effort all across the planet. it is the second largest private university herbarium in the entire united states. this is really bad!! i will explain in short terms:
every natural history collection's purpose is to collect and maintain specimens, which are collectively supposed to be a thorough representation of biodiversity across time and space. when sampled at regular intervals at the same places, specimens can tell endless stories about changes in shape, abundance, range, genetics, and SO much more. basically, they are a big sample size to use in all manner of studies, including those that concern climate change and biodiversity loss! new species and evolutionary relationships are constantly discovered at collections even when specimens are like 100 years old. duke has recently championed itself as a global leader in biodiversity research which is honestly in jawdropping conflict with its move to close its herbarium. this herbarium not only supplies duke researchers with material but researchers all over the world. specimens have been cited in over 46,000 publications and over 13,000 since 2019 alone. we have old shit in our cabinets but the science is anything but history!
faculty and staff have 2-3 years to move the specimens elsewhere which is NOT enough time for 800,000 old dried plant/fungus specimens. this is an issue in even the BEST natural history collections at the biggest institutions but collections are pretty much always understaffed and underpaid. a university collection usually relies a lot on student labor and you know they do not have the time to be contributing to this move. to find collections that would take these specimens AND allocate the manpower and time needed to send them off is not feasible. types, especially holotypes should really NEVER be transported because they serve as the exemplar for the characteristics of the species it represents. i do not feel good about hurrying 800,000 old, fragile specimens including 2,000 types getting moved in a short amount of time by a few people. i do not want to know what will happen to the remaining specimens that don't make it out in time.
this sets a really dangerous precedent for other university collections across the world. this is not a random state school, this is duke university, which is practically an ivy league. if they close such a prominent and respected collection just because they're not 260% maximizing their profits, it may let other greedy university admins know they can get away with the same. i've only been in the professional collections world for a short time but shutting down a collection let alone one as big as duke's is almost UNHEARD of. i haven't seen scientists band together so strongly and quickly over an issue (i'm in an ENTOMOLOGY collections listserv and someone advocated for emailing duke admin against this decision), probably because they can all agree on how strongly this could impact climate and biodiversity research and policymaking down the road.
tl;dr if duke herbarium really closes, we would be losing a vital hub for ongoing and future research that helps us understand how our world is changing through the dynamics of our plants and their allies. other institutions might see this and follow suit with their own collections.
#tbh tho ento peeps are prob so concerned because if plants go we're next eek#science#nature#biology#botany#mycology#plants#fungi#fungus#mushrooms#lab notebook

2, 7, 18 for kabru plz 🥺
i will apologize in advance i got like 5 of the most inconsistent hours of sleep so i dont know if i even make sense. More than i usually dont know LOL
2: favorite canon thing about this character
tldr: his trauma complexes and the way that drives his character
obligatory "autism" answer to be honest. no but in all seriousness kui is really really good at portraying people in accordance to their trauma/background and kabru is no different... being intimately familiar (married) to someone with ptsd, it makes kabru hit home in a lot of ways. i LOVE that he comes off as creepy to those that are close to him! i love his dissociative symptoms and his panicking. ive been doing (loose spare time) research on the correlations/potential causations of personality disorders and other trauma complexes (dissociative identity, ptsd, sometimes ocd, etc etc etc) that can arise specifically from the way people who are neurodivergent from birth are treated by others. i love the clear line from utaya (caused kabrus ptsd), his adoption (perfect circumstance for a knowledge seeker), his special interest, and his cluster b tendencies ("i have to mask, lie, or otherwise be dishonest to meet my physical/psychological needs. i have to yell to be heard by myself and others."). i think you can see from the way he reacts to going to milsirils family reunion that his interest in people isnt solely due to trauma-- that gathering has nothing to do with taking down dungeons. but it takes that path because the hole caused by kabrus trauma is a need that milsiril cant fulfill. so he has to do it himself. it is uniquely traumatizing to suffer from survivors guilt, specifically. HES JUST SO COOL!!!! <3 <3
of course im not saying like. Kabru Specifically Being Diagnosed With PTSD Is Canon because the term ptsd is a collection of traits that weve lumped together with one term that typically responds to the same set of treatment, but trauma is universal and ptsd is excellent shorthand for kabrus trauma responses!
7: something the fandom does with this character that you like
i love when he isnt portrayed as Knowing Everything. i love when hes portrayed like a little bit of a dumbass sometimes. i also really love the way a lot of people portray his dynamic with laios, especially when its kabru getting to experience his emotions in a relatively stable environment and laios is there to support him. ALSO i love that Kabru Marcille Friendship seems to be agreed upon
18: relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire
... i Mean. i dont mean to be TOO obvious but his relationship with laios... ouuughhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! FUN FACT! exposure therapy is actually like. HIGHLY effective for people with obsessive-compulsions, phobias, or other aversions!! this is not due to the simple fact of being exposed to it, however. kabru retraumatizes himself this way-- he risks his life for the uncontrolled exposure to the familiarity of his trauma. a big motivator for him is his survivors guilt. this isnt exposure therapy, its just exposure.
what makes exposure therapy effective is understanding. its understanding you wont get every disease if you dont wash your hands when youre compelled to, understanding not all spiders are dangerous and that we have an evolutionary fear response.
kabru is bad at recognizing his needs. he chases the need to understand monsters by resolving to adventure dungeons. he makes this decision as a kid. its like he knows he needs to understand monsters on some level, but no one else sees monsters as complex beings, no one gives the time of day to understanding them. so instead he interprets this motivation solely as a desire to end monsters and dungeons. upon his observation of laios though, seeing someone who doesnt act like everyone else, who is a really good leader regarding progress in the dungeon, its like he subconsciously chases his need to understand, while consciously seeing laios as concerning.
all this to say, i admire so much that laios can provide kabru a safe, human place to understand monsters, when hes ready. laios can expose him to the monstrous while preventing reckless, unprepared exposure. this story is so damn cool through my psychology special interest goggles lol...
honorary mentions: his relationship with rin. i admire rin, because dear fuck how do you make it through what she did and still speak at all let alone leave your room?? and their relationship i admire not because its crazy healthy or good for either of them but because it is a testament to their strength as people. i dont remember rn if any of their interactions as kids are shown but i presume kabru was just insanely kind and patient. you have to be to befriend someone so traumatized. their relationship kills me, because they clearly have a deep respect for each other, but rin probably has more emotional problems than kabru does regarding forging relationships. gwohhhh...
lastly, i like his minor relationship with toshiro lol its interesting how they seem to gravitate to each other if theyre both in a scene! and i really enjoy when kabru brutally talks sense into toshiro regarding falins revival. obviously, they dont have much interaction to go off of, but i like to think the combo of kabru being able to empathize so strongly with toshiro AND be honest about the situation at the same time are probably pretty refreshing for him, where he typically either gets minimal empathy and intense honesty from laios, or intense cognitive empathy-driven assumptions about what he wants or needs or how to interact with him. having someone who is genuinely adept at the mask and cognitive empathy out of his own choice, rather than social pressure, but also isnt scared to say it like it is... well itd do toshiro some good if they stay friends post canon imo!
#i like seeing this kind of stuff in maintags so ill put it there for anyone else i slurmpose#(suppose)#kabru of utaya#laios touden#rinsha fana#toshiro nakamoto#dungeon meshi#and me personal ones#laios#kabru#rin#shuro

"He doesn’t die for you because you're pretty.
He dies because you gave him your soul before you gave him your mouth."
🔁Reblog to keep my signal to mankind going strong.
🛐 SO YOU’RE OVER 40, CHILDLESS, AND STILL WANT A MAN? First off: Drop the fucking attitude, toots.
✅ You may already have aged yourself out of providing him children. ✅ Or you never could. ✅ Or the clock simply said "no" while you were busy pretending brunch mattered more than bloodlines.
Fine.
Pay it no mind.
You can still be something more rare, something more dangerous, something more needed in a man’s world than just a womb with legs:
You can be the woman a man would die protecting — not because biology demands it, but because loyalty, love, and holy war-level devotion command it.
🩸 PICTURE THIS: The man who finds you — the man still worth his teeth, his spine, and his will — could face Jason Voorhees himself for you:
✅ Just his hunting knife. ✅ A battered picture of you crammed in his pocket. ✅ And the will to decapitate that son of a bitch with his bare hands — for you.
For your life. For your memory. For the echo of your name etched into his ribs.
🛡️ BUT — THERE'S A PRICE And here’s where 99% of modern women flinch:
That kind of loyalty That kind of madness That kind of sacrificial rage
Only awakens for women who have made peace with a sacred word: submission.
Not "subservience." Not "doormat-ism." Not "TikTok trauma narratives."
Submission.
The soul-bared, spine-intact, knee-bent loyalty that says:
"I choose you. I follow you. I trust your teeth over my fear."
You want a man who would go to war for you? Die in the woods for you? Bleed in a ditch for you?
Then you have to be the woman who stands behind him, not above him, when the knives come out.
🧠 TL;DR You're over 40?
You’re childless?
You’re scared the world moved on?
Good. Fear is honesty. And honesty is the first goddamn brick in rebuilding something real.
You don’t have to be the "perfect biological machine" anymore. But you do have to be the woman who understands:
**A man doesn’t die for a critic.
A man dies for a queen who already knelt at his side when the world mocked him.**

Httyd tag game (long post)
Thank you @knight-says-oioioi for tagging me! I’m honored to be included ♥️♥️
What is your favorite…
Character design: I genuinely love eret’s design to death. I love how strongly rectangles and triangles influence his overall shape and style, and what they might convey/imply about his character.
Not to mention how visually interesting they make his silhouette. And while I specifically love his design in 2, I think he has one of the BEST dragon armor sets in 3. Plus the beetle aesthetic is gorgeous and suits him so well.
But back to the point, I really really like how much care has been put into making him feel different from the riders- in everything up to and including body language, colors, and proportions.
His design fits the role it serves in the story perfectly, and while his narrative arc does include a little bit of wishy washing and side changing (ofc) I think that using such strong, grounded shape language on every part of his design really helps the viewer quickly understand and feel like he is not normally like this— that he’s not a weasely traitor, but instead a very grounded person who may have a strong sense of self but who is also undergoing a lot of change very quickly.
By relying on the shape language so strongly like that, And really emphasizing these key visual points, I think it allowed for less necessary screen time to establish these same character traits. (Regardless of how much I really would have loved to see those scenes..)
All in all, I think it is a character design that does exactly what it is supposed to, and does it exceedingly well.
Character: surprisingly difficult question.... gonna go with snotlout. though it was very hard to pick just one.
Dragon from the main 5: I really really love Stormfly. No deep analysis here, sorry, I just saw her when I was 12 and haven’t been able to fall out of love with her since lol her design is gorgeous and her personality is top tier
Though if I had to pick one to RIDE I think I’d go with hookfang… maybe… he’s kind of a dick lmaoo but I really like the idea of riding a living fireball
But yes. My answer for this is stormfly.
Dragon species overall: I think.. I really really quite enjoy The Red Death. Or red deaths? I can’t remember ever seeing or hearing about another one. But I thought this species was such a fantastically unique take on dragons, and was a masterful display of fantastical design grounded by evolutionary logic.
Of course I’m not saying it’s the most logical dragon ever, but there are leaps of logic made in universe that align with and underscore the universes logic.
anyway.
Ship: another really tricky one lol of.
it tends to fluctuate, but as of right now I've been really really intrigued by the idea of Snotlout/Dagur
Character dynamic: Astrid and snotlout... I think they have a fascinating relationship, and it's really entertaining to watch it slowly grow into a more sibling-like dynamic as the franchise continues.
Villain: I mean I think we all know viggo was the best (or at least TOP 2) villain in the entirety of the franchise. really really enjoyed him, wish we had gotten to see more of him :(
Episode: really enjoy ' something rotten on berserker island' season 5 episode 3 a lot :)
Joke: 100% snotlout holding up a naked twig and referring to it as his childhood.
tag your mutuals or any blogs you like (anyone is free to join in though)
apologies if im you've already been tagged for this <3 @sleepy-sloth-doodles @bunniesbearsandadventures @shipping-circus

It is my conviction that misogyny has been ingrained as the fundamental and default condition of societal structures, as evidenced by the equilibrium it maintains between the oppressed and the oppressors. moreover, I contend that patriarchy was not merely a system that emerged at a particular point in time, but rather a pervasive framework that existed long before the term itself was coined. the act of naming such phenomena, I believe, serves to reduce their inherent complexity, as language inherently simplifies the intricate and multifaceted nature of human existence.
women often engage in intense self-policing, scrutinizing each other's behaviors and thoughts. while men largely escape similar scrutiny, free to exist without the same societal expectations.
patriarchy, in many ways, seems poised to endure because of deeply ingrained desires rooted in biological and societal expectations. women, by and large, seek providers and protectors, a reflection of both evolutionary instincts and the traditional roles that have long been imposed on them.
similarly, men often seek companionship that fulfills their sexual desires and the ability to pass on their genes. this biological drive, coupled with societal norms, continues to shape male behavior and relationship dynamics. these roles—women as nurturers and dependents, men as providers and protectors—are so deeply woven into the fabric of society that even as individual autonomy and gender equality progress, the underlying structures of patriarchy remain largely intact. It feels as though these fundamental human drives ensure patriarchy's persistence as the default social order.

chapter twenty-nine. amoransia. [NEW 4/16] ❤︎❤︎

18+ only | rocket x f!oc | 29/40+ | wip | wordcount: pending. masterlist, notes, & moodboard | navigation chapter twenty-nine. amoransia. ❤︎❤︎ see warnings and art below. | NEW! rocket combs pearl's hair
nebula gives rocket advice. pearl picks up where she left off.
It’s so strange and unexpected — that as many friends as pearl seems to pick up, she still hasn’t turned away from him yet. She still comes to their shared bed in the captain’s quarters at night, and purrs for him when he pets her, and cuddles on him and squeezes him tight while she’s sleeping. She still insists on wearing his old band shirts, stretched tight across her stiff little nipples — doing nothing to hide the bounce of her tits, and the sweet curved underside of them that he can see when she stands above him. She still lets him cover her in his scent, like she doesn’t care if the whole frickin’ galaxy knows she belongs to him.
Not that he’s fucked her since Knowhere. Since before Knowhere, actually. If a person didn’t count his absolutely mangled handling of her sweetly-offered blowjob, then he hasn’t fucked her in nearly a cycle at this point. It’s probably some kind of crime, to be honest: having pearl all snuggly and warm and willing in his bed, and to not gently coax her into parting her thighs for his apologetic tongue. The worst part is, he knows it’s got her worried. He’s tried to reassure her: keeping her squeezed nice and tight against him, caring for all her bruises and cuts — holding her hand till she falls asleep, just like before. It’s just that there’s this twist in his belly when he thinks about her, all soft-mouthed and licking at his dick — then the way he’d treated her after. The things he’d said. The memory of the half-lemniscate scar on her ass. His own ragged ugliness, brutal and blaring next to the soft silk of her body and her warm generosity. Plus, the fact that the f’saki has taken up a semi-permanent residency on the bed doesn’t help much.

Hiii do you have any more housemd/hilson fic recs? I read your top 3 and they were all delightful 😭😭 if not no worries, your blog is so fun!!!
hey! Haha. I have a couple!
Witness, Witness by SkyeBean
(everything is the same except wilson works in princeton general — really fun! It was surprisingly, extremely well-thought out! I liked the characterizations in this one, I found what changes rly interesting)
Esopus Creek by shaycat
(Post-finale. Extremely sad, but also hopeful. A nice alternative to both of them going out, mostly from an outsider’s POV. Very sweet. And subtle. lots of fishing)
Unplanned Parenthood by pleasuretoburn
(Sequel to The Evolutionary Imperative, by the same author. Reading the previous work is required for full appreciation. There’s a part in this that made me sob because it was such a small but meaningful divergence from canon while still acknowledging what happened in canon)
i may not be as honest as i ought to be by Talls
(THE ONE INSPIRED BY PHANTOM THREAD AHAHHHAH. House gets sick. Interesting things happen. I’d say this phantom threadish dynamic would be stretching it in Any Other Relationship. BUT IT FITS PERFECTLY WITH HOUSE AND WILSON HISTORY….)

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but would the Piplup and Cubchoo lines be safe to raise together? They’re from opposite poles, but I worry about the later evolutions.
(OOC Beartic and Empoleon are two of my fav pokemon and I’m afraid they’d realistically maul eachother)
this is an excellent question to ponder! Well, Cubchoos themselves aren't exactly voracious predators, that's what Beartics are for. And because they're from different poles, there's not going to be that natural predator-prey pre-existing evolutionary relationship between them To start with the pessimistic possibility: It seems very reasonable to expect that a Beartic would maul a Piplup or even a Prinplup in an act of predation, if they weren't already friends. Beartics are hypercarnivores who must feed on flesh to survive. However, it seems incredibly unreasonable that an Empoleon would bother a Cubchoo or a Beartic unless prompted to do so. The optimistic possibility: Regardless of predator-prey dynamics, if you were to raise a Beartic right, train it right, teach it manners and to be friends with the other Pokémon with you (the things one should always teach their Pokémon, as a good trainer!), then there really shouldn't be any real concerns. Especially if this Beartic was raised by you as a Cubchoo. This leads into the next optimistic point:
If you raised a Cubchoo with a Piplup, Prinplup, or Empoleon, there shouldn't be any danger because the Cubchoo will grow up knowing the Piplup/Prinplup/Empoleon is its friend. Pokémon may be seen as "wild animals" sometimes, but they are still capable of higher reasoning and friendship that defies the dynamics of the food chain, just like people :) So as long as you're prepared to raise them both right (and you should, because that's a trainer's job!) then I really don't think you have much to worry about between a Cubchoo and a Piplup :) In fact, when they grow up, a Beartic and an Empoleon may make a fine duo indeed!

Esoteric Astrology – Aquarius
AQUARIUS: THE WATER BEARER:
Aquarius is amongst the most important constellations for our planet at this particular time. Typified in its most exalted forms by all important group awareness divorced from any sectarian or partisan viewpoint. Low grade and undeveloped form signified by superficial assessments and abiding self-interest. Evolutionary development- the former – takes the Aquarian towards the universal wisdom of Pisces. Involutionary development- the latter – takes the Aquarian downward into concrete material hells of Capricorn. We will see more of the former and the latter as the Aquarian Age develops.
Notice that individual signs can be assessed dualistically according to their form of manifestation: involutionary or evolutionary: going forward or backwards: upward or downward.
The 2 bands of stars in Pisces and Aquarius mirror each other: the symbol for Aquarius represents the dynamic/electrical like quality of inter-relationship so special to this sign: much blending and fusion here.
Rulers: traditionally Uranus and the violet 7th ray hence potentially the power to manifest but esoterically ruled by Jupiter the power of Love.
The waters of Life are poured out of the pitcher of the water bearer and through the Lion’s (Leo) mouth upon humanity. The exact identity of the water bearer and the true nature of the waters in the pitcher remain upon the outskirts of human knowledge. The risen Christ is said to assuage the spiritual thirst of humanity with the water of life. Astronomical conveyor of the energies contained within the pitcher is the Pole star: a distributor of energies from the Great Bear, the 7 Rishi’s who oversee all space and time.
Most people consummate their lengthy cycle of multiple incarnations in Aquarius as world servers thus escaping from the wheel of re-birth that way. A few escape as world saviours in Pisces: a more difficult option. Once upon the fixed cross of heart development (e.g. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius): the life of the serving disciple, evolution propels the being through Aquarius, as the last of the fixed signs visited, to the 3rd initiation to relinquish all personality concerns.
